   She seemed to be favored. In reality, she was brought down to the basement to be forced to watch slaughter and torture together with the elders of the house. They enjoyed that she never stopped crying for the victims and stopped her from closing the eyes of the dead.

   When she confided in her beloved maidservant about this, the woman went away and came back hollowed out without any emotions.

   Deciding to spare her favourite people, she hurtfully pushed away the few siblings that still liked her.

   When she tried to tell a branch family that their daughter is being used as breeding stock in the basement, the elders had the ones who heard slaughtered in front of her eyes. Watching it, she was initially tormented. Then she gave up on sadness, anger, and even joy, and so simply started smiling again, tears still flowing.
