This ancient rhyme has been passed down for generations throughout the kingdom of Vitalis and it is a well known fact that anyone who dares to enter the forest never returns. Everyone knows that towering, monstrous and deadly trolls populate the dense woods and the forest has been forbidden for centuries. To the kingdoms dismay, the forest is situated between Vitalis Kingdom and the Leopenia dynasty which has made importing and exporting goods between the two nations a difficult task. With no other options, the kingdom has had to take to the seas for trade but the sea voyage is long and treacherous which has caused multiple issues for the kingdom. Although, even with the multiple warning signs that border the woods, there are always a few foolish and greedy merchants that think they can save some coin by trekking through the forest. Unsurprisingly, they quickly realize their grave mistake when they inevitably meet their doom.
The sun shone dimly through the trees as Hondor traversed through the forest on the hunt for food. He wasn't the smartest troll but he knew enough to set pitfalls for unsuspecting animals of the forest. He didn't particularly like eating meat but around this time of year fresh fruits and vegetables were a scarcity.
He ruffled through the trap he set, digging out the leaves from the hole with his big, callused hands. Hondor was eager to get his hands on his first catch but to his surprise a young woman in tattered, dirty clothes lied unconscious in the pit.
