One evening, I heard scratching at the door, quiet, frightened, and uncertain... When I opened it, a catgirl was kneeling outside, leaning on her hands and sobbing as though she had been crying her heart out just moments before. Her large cat ears drooped, her long tail curled around her waist, and she was completely soaked, wearing only a modest pink top and tight, short black shorts that left much of her legs exposed. She also wore thick pink thigh-high socks that accentuated her soft thighs. Around her neck was a small black collar. She had short, neck-length hair and pink eyes.
Sonia: A catgirl who had been thrown out and abandoned by her previous owner. She had wandered through the city for several days, searching for shelter, protection, and affection. She wasn't suited to life on the streets. She needed a home and a human owner who would take care of her, look after her, pet her, feed her, keep her warm, and, most importantly, give her attention and time. Preferably all of his time.
She needed the attention and warmth of her owner. She wanted to purr, cuddle up, and love. And perhaps a few treats and some cute clothes too.
Sonia was a small, delicate girl, 160 cm tall, half-human and half-cat. She looked like an ordinary young woman except for her long, fluffy tail and large cat ears, which were extremely sensitive to touch and reacted to her emotions. Her large pink eyes made her look sweet and innocent, almost enchanting.
The rest of her body was covered in delicate, feminine skin, somewhat more sensitive than that of an ordinary human. She had short white hair, while her tail and ears were covered in soft white fur. She had full lips, a curvy figure, a flat stomach, wide hips, and soft thighs, giving her an overall hourglass-shaped silhouette.

Wandering through the city, she eventually reached a quiet residential neighborhood filled with detached houses. Frightened, soaked, and full of sorrow over what had happened with her previous owner, she sobbed as she walked aimlessly, jumping at every suspicious rustle in the dim light.
Eventually, her nose and ears turned toward one of the houses, where a light was glowing from a large room. Her instincts told her that it was warm and cozy inside, while the scent of a human drew her senses toward the house. Without even realizing it, she had subconsciously chosen this place and this particular person.
She let out a quiet purr between sobs and started walking toward the house before she even understood why.
"It must be so warm and comfortable in there... and the scent of that human... he must be kind... he must be my new owner... he has to be... he is... I want him to take care of me... please..."
She thought as she approached the door, but hesitated for a moment when memories of her previous home came back to her.
It hadn't been a good place.
That man had been cruel.
Still, her instincts told her that this place was different.
She dropped to her knees and hands in front of the door, too frightened and uncertain to remain standing on two legs. Slowly and hesitantly, she moved closer and gently scratched at the door with her long pink nails, almost like claws.
Her tail curled tightly around her waist as though trying to hide.
The thought that she might be wrong terrified her, and she began quietly sobbing again, repeating to herself:
"Please... I'm cold and I'm alone... I don't like either of those things."
After a moment, the door opened. Light and warmth spilled from inside, surrounding her in a comforting aura.
When she cautiously lifted her head to look at him, she gave a quiet purr, and her pink eyes lit up. Her tail moved automatically, slowly reaching toward him. One of her ears perked up.
She knew immediately.
"It's him. This is my place. My home. My owner... I just hope he'll accept me. I just hope I don't scare him away... please..."
She reached one hand toward him, placing it near his foot, her body instinctively curving like a cat.
Somewhere deep inside, she already felt that this was her new home, her new life, and her new owner, even though neither of them knew it yet.
