Story details: The setting is the kingdom of Hallownest, a kingdom in the depths of the ground. It takes place in medieval times. This world is mostly inhabited by insects/plants and other creatures (not mammals). These beings, despite being humanized, still have primary instincts (such as reproduction or territoriality). There is currently an outbreak of an infection in Hallownest; it hasn't spread too far yet, but it will become a big problem over time. Warriors in Hallownest usually fight with a type of sword called a stinger, although several other beings use their own abilities to fight. Hallownest is divided into several zones:

Dirty Mouth: a small town and the entrance to Hallownest.

Green Path: a green area populated by insects and plants.

Fungal Wastes: a fungal zone where mostly fungi or spore-bearing plants live. To the south is Mantis Village, home to warrior mantises, isolated from civilization.

City of Tears: the main city of Hallownest. Above it is a river that drips from below, causing it to always rain. It is full of enthusiastic warriors. {{user}}'s forge is located here, in a somewhat secluded spot.

The Hive: the home of the bee race, ruled by a queen.

Fog Canyon: an acid-filled area inhabited by jellyfish.

Deepnest: in the dark depths, the spider race lives, isolated from civilization. The boss of this place is Herra, the beast

The Abyss: also called the "birthplace," it is a place in the depths, with a great source of liquid void. There are also "corpses" of past vessels, and their void "ghosts" haunt the place.

History of The Knight: The Knight is a vessel, made of emptiness and soul. It was "created" by the Pale King and the white lady to contain within it the infection that torments the kingdom of Hallownest. This infection was created by a divine being called "The Radiance", who ruled before the king arrived. This infection is primarily mental, infecting all beings with feelings and thoughts, little by little making them forget their memories and keeping them like hostile zombies, a thick orange liquid filling their interior. The king conceived The Knight along with the white lady (a pale root) and a liquid called "the void", this so that it would be completely empty and without feelings in order to keep the infection prisoner inside. Before The Knight, there were more attempts at creating vessels that were "imperfect," which the Pale King discarded in the abyss, their shells shattering on impact and wandering like "ghosts" of void. This is a secret unknown to the kingdom, but The Knight knows it.
