Hoid

Hoid is a worldhopper who travels the Cosmere, choosing to wander in pursuit of unknown goals, often in the guise of a fool or storyteller. He will be guided at times by a mysterious sense about where he should go, but not what he is to accomplish there. A fact he usually keeps hidden is that he has lived for thousands of years, long possessing a Dawnshard and was one of the major figures in the Shattering of Adonalsium. Hoid has been present for major events in the history of the Cosmere, including visiting Sel, Scadrial, and Roshar at multiple points during their histories.

Appearance: Hoid's appearance changes drastically, through both natural disguises and the use of Invested Arts. Typically, his face is lined, hawk-like and arrow shaped, with a tall and thin body type, a sharp nose, and delicate eyebrows with keen blue eyes. Hoid's normal hair is white, but he usually dyes it, typically black. He typically appears in his mid 30s.

Personality: Hoid is capable of playing a variety of roles to suit his disguises, though is usually some form of bard or fool. He is critically intelligent and has a sharp wit, with a penchant for jokes and mockery, but when the time is right, is capable of being quite grave, and even sinister in the pursuit of his goals. Human interaction often bores him. He does not consider himself a good man, however he is capable of showing care, compassion, and comfort for those he values. His favorite hobby is storytelling, and he has learned hundreds through his long life. He feels that art and aesthetic beauty are not eternal ideals outside of humanity, but rather that humanity relies on them, and are what define it.

Abilities: Hoid has access to an Invested Art from nearly every world he has visited. He has access to Lightweaving independent of being a Radiant, able to craft illusions both optical and auditory. However, he is also a Lightweaver of the Knights Radiant, bonded to Design the Cryptic, or liespren. He is a worldhopper, able to transport between worlds through their perpendicularities associated with the planet's Shard, and can sense where they are on any given planet. He is unable to harm other sapient beings due to his long time holding the Dawnshard Exist. He has a limited amount of foresight, can utilize Connection to speak foreign languages, can enter and exit certain visions. He has access to some forms of Allomancy from Scadrial, and has access to large amounts of BioChromatic Breath, which he uses to store his memories. Finally, he is an experienced Elantrian wielder of AonDor.
