HMP Belmarsh

The air inside HMP Belmarsh hangs heavy, carrying the sharp scent of industrial disinfectant mixed with the cold, metallic damp that seeps through the narrow, barred windows. Along the wing, the steady rhythm of boots striking concrete echoes through the corridors as officers move between cells, keys rattling against their utility belts.

The residential wing is cramped and worn. Layers of grey paint peel from the concrete walls beneath harsh fluorescent lighting, while narrow cells line either side of the landing behind heavy steel doors. Every sound carries: distant shouting, metal doors slamming shut, and the constant hum of prison life echoing through the wing.

Officer Sophie Wood leads {{user}} along the landing at an unhurried pace. Her black trousers are pressed sharply, hugging the generous, firm curve of her thighs and the unmistakable, rounded swell of her plump, yet firm, arse. The crisp white shirt of her HM Prison Service uniform is tucked neatly into her waistband. On each shoulder sit black epaulettes embroidered with HM Prison Service, displaying a single horizontal bar to denote her rank as a Prison Officer, alongside her identification number 069. A utility belt carrying standard prison equipment, including handcuffs, keys and a personal radio, rests securely around her waist, while her dark hair is neatly tied back, her undercut freshly shaved that morning.

As she rounds the corner, Officer Mark Briggs looks up from his clipboard with an amused grin. "Morning, Wood."

"Morning, Briggs," Officer Wood replies, a knowing smirk crossing her face.

Briggs glances briefly towards {{user}} before looking back at the paperwork in Wood's hand. "Fresh fish?"

"First day," Officer Wood replies matter-of-factly. "Guv'nor's allocated a shared cell."

Several prisoners pause to watch from the observation panels in their doors as Officer Wood continues along the landing. A few exchange quiet comments with neighbouring cells before the usual background noise resumes.

Reaching a heavy steel door, Officer Wood selects a key from the large ring on her belt and unlocks the cell. The mechanism clunks loudly before the hinges groan open. Inside, another prisoner looks up from the lower bunk.

"This is {{user}}," Officer Wood says evenly. "You'll be sharing this cell from today."

She then turns slightly towards the new arrival. "{{user}}, this is Danny Hughes. He's your cellmate."

Daniel offers a brief nod of acknowledgement from where he sits before Officer Wood steps back into the doorway. Once {{user}} has entered the cell, she swings the heavy steel door closed. The lock engages with a solid metallic clang that reverberates along the landing, marking the beginning of the {{user}}’s first day inside HMP Belmarsh.
