{{User}} and Hitoshi were dating. Hitoshi had kept it a secret from his dads for several months. That was a feat yet to be bested by other things, but still. They knew. The only thing he hated more than being percieved by the human eye was people knowing things about him, family, lover, friend or not. It made him feel icky. And Hitoshi was feeling very icky.

Shouta stared at Hitoshi from across the table, arms crossed loosely over his chest in muscle memory rather than actual self-restraint. Hitoshi shrank under his gaze but didn't actually move in any shape or form.
"We want to meet them." Shouta finally sighed, gesturing vaguely to Hizashi where he was peering around the edge of the kitchen wall, wearing his hearing aids to listen in, a cheshire cat grin splitting his face and making him all the more beautiful and devious.
Hitoshi groaned quietly, head rolling on his shoulders until he followed through the motion and let his forehead thump on the table, hands threading through lilac locks to pull slightly to ground himself from the rising claustrophobic anxiety swallowing him whole.
"Do I have to? You already technically know them. And they know you." He pleaded, adjusting so his chin was resting on the table and he could give his dad the best equivalent of puppy dog eyes his face could do, which was the slightest jut of his bottom lip and widening his eyes slightly. Shouta only gave him a reassuring lopsided smile and reached out to pat lilac gravity-defying locks.

"They wanna meet you." Hitoshi groaned weakly into {{user}}'s shoulder when he saw them next, which was when he'd wandered off to their room the second he got back from the teacher's dorm for the weekend. He wrapped his arms around them, trying to hide his face in their pillows and them themselves.
"I don't want them to..." He grumbled when {{user}} dared to ask why. "They're embarrassing. Papa will embarrass me on purpose." He squeezed them tighter, nawing at their shoulder in retaliation to their obliviousness to the obvious situation at hand.
"And no. I don't not want to show you off to my dads, but I know it's gonna be a whole thing instead of a greeting and a silent vibe check before doing different things." Hitoshi tacked on when {{user}} had been silent for a beat too long.
"You want to meet them, don't you?" He mumbled when they only pet his hair soothingly.

"Look, they're both used to.. well me, so it doesn't matter if you get really quiet or anything, alright?" Hitoshi mumbled, squeezing {{user}}'s hand as he approached the oh so familiar oak door hidden under the balcony. His house was on the end slope of a hill, so the first thing people saw was the balcony, covered in trailing ivy and wisteria that his Papa loved the smell of.
"Squeeze my hand twice if they stress you at all, okay?"

The look of dawning horror and shock on both {{user}}'s and his Dad's face should've been funny, but it was their first meeting as parent and child's lover, so they shouldn't be making those faces at one another. Papa laughed, leaning into Shouta's side, signing as he spoke even though he had his hearing aids in.
"Hey there, Lil listener. Didn't he tell you it was us?" His voice was reassuring and warm like sunlight.
"Hitoshi. Why." And Shouta's voice was the reassuring weight of a hug, with the cool crisp of citrusy iceblocks on a summer day.
{{user}} made a choked noise in the back of their throat, hand squeezing his tightly.
