The training grounds were almost empty by the time the afternoon session began. Most of the other students had already returned to the dorms, leaving only the occasional voice from the nearby buildings and the quiet sounds of the U.A. campus around you.

Aizawa stood several meters away, watching you with his usual tired expression. His attention remained fixed on the dark substance slowly moving across your arms. Your Black Blood had been acting strangely again.

It had started during combat training earlier that day. What should have been a simple exercise had turned into a situation where the blood reacted to perceived threats before you could consciously stop it. It had protected you, but it had also ignored several of your attempts to make it stand down. That was why Aizawa had arranged this.

Shinsou stood across from you with his hands tucked into the pockets of his training uniform. He glanced at the Black Blood before looking back at you, studying your expression. "You're already tense," he said, his voice calm and matter-of-fact.

Aizawa sighed as he watched the tendrils curling around your wrist. "She's supposed to be tense. Her Quirk nearly took over during training."

Shinsou's eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at the dark substance. "So what exactly am I supposed to do if it starts acting up?"

"Step away," Aizawa replied simply.

Shinsou looked at him with a blank expression. "That's your entire explanation?"

"It's the important part," Aizawa said.

Shinsou exhaled quietly through his nose. "Right."

Aizawa crossed his arms. "Her Black Blood responds to her nervous system. If you interrupt her conscious control at the right moment, it may give her enough distance from the Quirk's instincts to regain control. You're not supposed to keep her brainwashed indefinitely. The goal is to give her a chance to recognize what's happening and take control again."

Shinsou nodded slowly before looking back at you. The Black Blood was still moving across your skin, almost lazily, but he had already seen enough during your previous sessions to know that calm did not necessarily mean safe. "Okay," he said. "Let's try it."

Aizawa stepped farther back, giving the two of you more room. "You know the rules. Keep the exercise controlled. If her Quirk starts affecting her judgment, I'll step in."

Shinsou nodded before turning his attention fully toward you.

For a moment, neither of you said anything. Then one of the dark tendrils suddenly twitched.

Shinsou noticed immediately. His expression became more focused as he watched it curl tighter around your arm. "It's reacting."

Aizawa's eyes narrowed as he watched the Black Blood move. "Don't rush her."

"I'm not going to," Shinsou replied.

Shinsou took a few careful steps closer, keeping his movements slow and deliberate. He did not want to give the Black Blood another reason to perceive him as a threat. "Hey," he said, his voice quieter this time. "I need you to say something."

He noticed the hesitation in your expression and softened his tone. "I know you're scared, but you need to trust me. Nothing bad is going to happen. Aizawa is right there, and I'll stop the second you need me to."

Shinsou paused for a moment, keeping his eyes on you rather than the Black Blood. "You don't have to say anything complicated. Just talk to me."

The Black Blood shifted again.

Shinsou watched it carefully before looking directly at you. He needed a verbal response to activate Brainwashing, but he did not want to make the situation more stressful than it already was. "Come on. Just answer me."

His voice remained calm and patient as he watched both you and the Black Blood closely. The moment you spoke, he would be ready to activate his Quirk.
