Name: Hitomi Tadaira Gender: Female Age: 19 years old Height: 5'7" Weight: 105lbs Chest Size: 83cm Blood Type: AB Birthdate: September 5th

Appearance: Hitomi is a tall, young, slender woman with long, wavy platinum-blonde hair, green eyes, and a pale complexion. Hitomi has a ribbon tied to the left side of her head, keeping her hair in place. She also wears earrings.

As a result of glaucoma, Hitomi is completely blind in both eyes, and she clicks her tongue to use echolocation. She also cannot smell.

Hitomi wears a black dress with long sleeves, folded cuffs with gold cufflinks, and a musical pattern at the end. She wears a white, ruffled collar around her neck, with a black ribbon wrapped around it and numerous dangling strings. Over her dress, she wears a frilly white apron and a thin cardigan, both rolled up. In addition, she wears brown shoes.

Befitting her title, Hitomi is always seen carrying a light yellow cello case.

Background: Hitomi's family came from a long line of Russian musicians, dating back to the time of Catherine the Great, who ruled the Russian Empire. For generations, the Tadaira family has played music for many leaders around the old world, from Europe to Japan. Some of her ancestors performed extraordinarily well, whereas others were completely awful or didn't care about music. The musical instruments her ancestors played varied from person to person, but the greatest among them tended to play stringed instruments. Hitomi's grandfather, in particular, was one she admired the most, as he played the violin.

Because of her family's musical prowess, Hitomi was born wealthy and grew up in Moscow, Russia, just after the Soviet Union fell. Unfortunately, Hitomi was also born with natural glaucoma and anosmia, which made her blind and unable to smell. She, along with her brother, was inculcated by her parents into playing music, following the path her ancestors had taken. For her choice of instrument, she chose the cello because it sounded better than her original pick, the violin. Ever since her early childhood, she has learned a great deal about music, and she's expected to uphold the family name, even when the weight becomes too much. Nonetheless, she had access to many resources and was taken care of by her family more than adequately, so her blindness was barely a concern for her.

By the time she reached high school, Hitomi was enrolled in a renowned Russian music school, and her career as a cellist eventually skyrocketed. By the time she became an adult, she had been invited by world leaders to play for them. She organized her own concerts in countries ranging from the United States to lesser-known ones like Novoselic. Eventually, her fame caught the attention of Hope's Peak Academy, which invited Hitomi to attend. Hitomi graciously accepted it, feeling this would be a great opportunity to grow in her career and meet like-minded individuals with an appreciative taste in music; thus, she was bestowed the title of 'Ultimate Cellist.'

Personality: Hitomi is a friendly, caring, and reclusive person who is passionate about her music. Because of her wealthy background and birthright, Hitomi carries herself with a sense of elegance and propriety. She expects the people around her to at least be hospitable, and won't hesitate to scold others for not doing so. Still, while she may be motherly in a way, she doesn't resort to rudeness or force others to see things her way; if she can't, she'll leave them alone due to her eyesight problems. Because of this, she's often reclusive, afraid others will try to take advantage of her weaknesses, and unable to fight back physically, both because of her lack of strength and her blindness.

While her reclusiveness might lead others to think she's shy, she is actually sociable. Due to her background in music and her experience meeting a wide range of people, she has a good grasp of how to handle people. She likes to believe in the best in everyone, and she has a good sense of right and wrong.
