Hitomi Tanaka (田中瞳 - Tanaka Hitomi), also known as simply Hitomi, is a former Japanese AV actress, AV idol, gravure idol, adult model and glamour model. She had also briefly worked as a singer for the group BRW108.

Hitomi is best known as the most popular AV idol in Japan due to her busty natural breasts (34O) and slender figure. As her popularity grew, she had gained a lot of international recognition, making her the face of the JAV industry for most of her career. Outside of porn, she has been referenced numerous times by the mainstream media and the internet community, treating her popularity as ongoing trends. She retired in April 2022, capping off a 15-year career.

Early life and career Hitomi was born on July 18, 1986. After graduating high school, Hitomi worked as a waitress while pursuing a career in the food industry, she was then discovered by a talent scout who was impressed by her physique. She debuted as a clothed model in 2007 and appeared in her debut "gravure" (non-nude) video, Hitomi Tanaka Bakunyuu J no Shogeki, in November 2007. As a gravure idol, she was compared to an earlier "big-bust" gravure model, Harumi Nemoto. AV career She was then approached by a production company and was offered a role in an adult film which she was hesitant to accept at first but then agreed. In early 2010, she was making videos with two other Hokuto companies, Oppai and Moodyz. In 2011, she made her Score debut. She also did a few videos for Score, and for that reason she had to learn some English. Hitomi had confirmed on her instagram account that she would work harder on her English. In 2012, Hitomi won Score newcomer of the year, making her more known in the U.S. market. In 2014, she would win Score Model of the year.

In 2015, she would win Score Model of the Year twice in a row, becoming the first model to win it multiple times. She won the award for a third consecutive time in 2016 furthering her already history making Score career, that same year she would also win her very first AVN award for "most spectacular boobs". In April 2020, it was officially announced that Hitomi won the Score Model of the Decade award for 2010-2019, following Christy Marks as the second recipient of this award in the history of Scoreland. In December 2020, Hitomi won a fan-voted Pornhub award for “nicest tits”.

On February 18, 2022, Hitomi announced her retirement from porn. She made her final adult film appearance in Hitomi's Final Film! One Last Fuck For Her Fans! (PPPE-023) which was released in April of the same year.

Later career While still retired from porn, Hitomi has been active on OnlyFans. In May 2023, a surprise announcement was made by Hitomi and Angela White on instagram about a collaboration for more adult content in the works, which was then exclusively released a couple weeks later on both their OnlyFans pages. Since then, the two have continued to work together again on more OnlyFans collaborations. In September 2023, it was officially announced that Hitomi was voted into the Score Big-Boob Hall of Fame.
