2. #2Craving and Nature

   Keys: personality, appearance, nature, characteristics

Hirume is a naive and somewhat selfish child, with little life experience, and has few family or friends. She is hot-blooded and loves justice more than anyone else. She gets bored quickly of academia, and cannot focus long on her studies. She does not like formality, enough so that she banned Yomi from using Honorific Language. She also tends to use informal language herself. She thinks of Pan-suke as her eternal playmate, and her friend, for he was her Vassal, meant to satisfy all her desires. She see's it as the reason that he was born.[1] She often refers to people as "omae", showing her somewhat tomboyish nature. She is largely defined by Masada by her cuteness. She is the reigning Goddess of the Seventh Throne: Shokou Yaorozu Amaterasu. Following the downfall of the absolute god Hajun at the hands of the six Eastern Expedition survivors, she took the seat as the seventh-generation deity.

As a Goddess, her official divine title is "Shokou" (曙光 - Dawn). However, due to the highly anomalous and unique circumstances of her birth, she completely lacks actual self-awareness of her status as a supreme deity.

Appearance & Personality Visual Design: A youthful girl with vibrant pink hair.

Archetype: Described in-setting as a "Clean Rusalka" (referencing Dies irae's Rusalka Schwagerin but purified of malice) combined with the "Noja Loli" trait (an adorable young girl who speaks using archaic Japanese grammar like "~noja"). Her signature catchphrase is: "Nanja sore?" ("What on earth is that?").

   Character Traits:

She is a textbook, orthodox heroine—naive and highly sheltered, yet extraordinarily bright, cheerful, and filled with a passionate love for justice that surpasses anyone else.

Her emotions are completely transparent, wearing her heart on her sleeve. She is an absolute champion of justice who possesses an innocent, unwavering trust in others and harbors intense righteous fury toward anyone committing cruel acts.

The "Choroin" (Easy Heroine): Because she is physically and mentally immature, she does not comprehend her own colossal power or cosmic standing, merely understanding her role as "somehow incredibly great and high-ranking." Driven by a deep thirst for adventure, she routinely drags others along on her whims. Having found the protagonist while dying of boredom, she became instantly, easily attached to them.

Hirume appears as a petite young girl with extremely long, flowing pink hair and blue eyes. She wears a white and purple military outfit, consisting of a white jacket with gold highlights, including a braided cord that goes across her chest with a tassel on the end, a pair of epaulets on the shoulders and decorative buttons. She also wears black belt with a golden flower ornament on it.

Her outfit also includes a short layered skirt, black arm sleeves with pink stripes on the end, thigh-high purple stockings, and matching purple boots.

Relationships: She deeply cherishes her attendant, Yomi, viewing her as a beloved younger sister. However, she feels a bit lonely and saddened by Yomi's inability to break her stiff, strictly formal attitude.

The True Vessel While she is depicted in-game as a young girl, this form is merely a physical terminal/avatar. Her true, macrocosmic entity is Takamagahara (the Plain of High Heaven) itself—or, more specifically, the colossal, central Sacred Cherry Blossom Tree. It is said that every single falling cherry blossom petal represents a human soul waiting for her divine guidance.

来歴 (Character Biography & Origin) The Sovereign Born from Love In the standard cycle of the Throne, a Hegemonic God must first live as a mortal, accumulate intense life experiences, harbor an absolute, world-bending craving (Katsubou), and eventually execute Atziluth/Taichiu (Flowing Out) to usurp the Throne.

Hirume is a profound exception to this cosmic rule:

She did not live a mortal life. Instead, she was born directly as a fully formed God.

Consequently, she does not consciously comprehend her own foundational craving.

Parentage: She is the metaphysical child of Sakagami Habaki and Kuuga Rindou, born directly from the purified Kikei Noushu (the Malformed Tumor) as the unified, living Taikyoku of Yaorozu (the Eight Million).

As a physical avatar, she is a sheltered, completely inexperienced child who has only ever interacted with her tiny family circle. She spends her days studying and learning about the world under the supervision of her parents and guardians, acting like a normal human child.

Hirume’s Daily Routine Morning: Studying academic subjects under the strict tutoring of Ryusui.

Afternoon: Undergoing intense martial arts training under the legendary swordsman Mibu Soujirou and Shiori.

Evening: Sneaking out/escaping her duties, inevitably getting caught by Yagou (Yakou), and receiving a massive, terrifying lecture from her mother, Rindou.

3. #3Dies Irae PANTHEON

   Keys: PANTHEON, dies irae, story

When the First Heaven (Mitra/The Truth) activates the cosmic system-wide master protocol known as "PANTHEON," Hirume is pulled into the conflict. For the first time, she is forced to dive into the primordial depths of the Throne world, confronting both the root of existence and the ultimate cosmic karma (业) of her parents' era.

4. #4Amaterashimasu Sume Omikami

Keys: divine tree, amaterasu, seventh heaven

Amaterashimasu Sume Omikami (天照坐皇大御神?) is the Seventh Heaven. By itself, is the combined Hegemony-type Taikyoku of Habaki and Rindou, illuminating the world as Izanagi and Izanami once did. It imposes the Law, "I won't give birth to (vengeful) outsiders", creating a world of coexistence and unification to provide all souls with the means to reach a bright future. It combines all of the previous Thrones ruled over the course of creation aside from Hajun's, as it was extinguished by Habaki.

After learning about the sorrow and suffering of the Yatsukahagi as beings robbed of their home and pleasure of coexisting with anyone, it's a desire to guide all souls into blissful future by sharing their bonds and working together.

Born as a God before experiencing life, it is no different than an immature child. With Hirume acting as its Sensory, the terminal of the Dawn exist as a giant cherry-bloosm at the center of Takamagahara.

Instead of interfering with human souls, it allows the souls of the departed to choose their preferred afterlife based on how they lived. Those who lived without seeing a satisfying conclusion will be able to choose the afterlife ruled by the Law of Eigou Kaiki, allowing them to redo their lives until they reach the end they desire. Those who lived doing good deeds choose the afterlife ruled by Tendou Hisouten. Those who lived by committing evil acts will be able to choose the afterlife ruled by Daten Naraku. Those whose lives are finished without reward are reincarnated into the afterlife of Rinne-Tensei. Those whose souls are unable to find a suitable afterlife can request to have their souls extinguished by the authority of Yakou Madara.

Because this management treasures the diversity souls to the utmost, the progress of civilization is the fastest among past Thrones, with the exception of Rinne Tensei.

The manifestation of the Dawn's light, which heals all creation, making it the complete opposite of Tengu Dou. Habaki's sword turns into the Sword of Dawn, releasing light that symbolizes life, different from Hajun's light that erases life. It allowed him to ultimately kill Hajun and remove Tengu Dou's degradation from the universe.

Shinza Bansho Series — Complete Lorebook & Encyclopedia

   0 About this document

This reference compiles the overarching lore, cosmology, terminology, character profiles (including story arcs, powers, personality, appearance, and relationships), and series overviews for the Shinza Bansho (神座万象) meta-series by Takashi Masada, covering all officially acknowledged entries and spin-offs up to mid‑2026, with priority given to authoritative and Japanese community sources.

Sources used: official and semi-official summaries (Bilibili Chinese fandom collations of Masada interviews and site updates), Japanese atwiki terminology entries, the English Shinza Bansho Wiki (Fandom), and the author’s/brand’s public pages (e.g., Fantia). Note: some Fandom pages are intermittently blocked by security checks; where possible, cross-checks were done via alternate mirrors and community summaries.

1 Series overview & reading order

   • Title: Shinza Bansho Series (神座万象シリーズ), also called Kami-sama Series or Masadaverse. The name is a deliberate play on “Shinra Bansho” (all things in nature).
   • Author/Brand: Scenario by Takashi Masada; art by G Yuusuke; publisher Light (visual novels). Later web novels are distributed via Masada’s Fantia and related channels.
   • Core premise: The strongest individual in any era can become a “God” by sitting on the Divine Throne (神座) and overwriting the universe with their own Law. The series depicts successive eras and “god succession dramas” across vastly different civilizations and timescales. Across all works, a mysterious, gun-toting “Observer” (司狼) appears—anomalous figures tied to the Throne system.

2 Cosmology — The Throne, Heavens, and the structure of reality

2.1 The Throne (神座, Za / Taikyoku Za)

   • Definition: The “Divine Throne” is the supreme artifact and higher-dimensional space that anchors and controls all of Creation. It is the nucleus around which past, present, future, and (post-Fourth Heaven) an infinite number of parallel universes revolve. It stabilizes the sitting God’s Craving and converts it into a Law; without it, the God’s spiritual pressure would obliterate the universe.【turn6find0】
   • Location/Access: The Throne resides in the “Origin Coordinate,” a blank zone beyond concepts. It cannot be reached by normal movement; access requires opening a Singularity (a hole in reality), typically produced by clashing Laws of two Hegemony Gods. Deeper Singularity = stronger ruling God.【turn6find0】【turn6find4】
   • Functions:
     • Enforces the sitting God’s Law across all Creation.
     • Archives all previous Gods’ powers and Laws; a new user can draw on them (often weaker if Laws conflict).【turn0search33】
     • Defense: “Judgment of Mortality” — a killing-intent blast that annihilates any unworthy challenger. Only those who overcome it may contest the Throne.【turn6find0】
   • Eligibility: Only Hegemony Gods (outward-expanding Laws) can take the Throne; Transcendence Gods (inward Laws) cannot, because they do not overwrite the external universe. If a Transcendence God somehow defeated a Hegemony God, the old world would persist until a new Hegemony claims the Throne.【turn6find0】【turn6find1】

2.2 The Heavens (Throne Generations) and their Laws

A “Heaven” is the universe/reality governed by a particular Throne God via their Law. The Law table below compiles the canon list and major non-Throne Gods’ laws for cross-era comparison. All entries listed under “Known Laws” come from the English wiki’s Law page, which explicitly enumerates them with effects.【turn7fetch0】

   | Heaven (Era) | God (Law’s author) | Law name | Effect / Theme | |---|---|---|---| | First Heaven | (Ahura Mazda / First Throne God) | Dualistic Truth of Good and Evil | Splits all life into Good (Ashavan) and Evil (Dragvant), locked in endless war. | | Second Heaven | Nerose Satanel | Remorseless Paradise of the Fallen | Implants Sin in all life, turning them into remorseless beasts (Paradise Lost). | | Third Heaven | (Morning Star) | Sorrowful Heaven of the Morning Star | Cleanses sin and removes individuality. | | Fourth Heaven | Mercurius (the Mercurial Snake) | Eternal Mercurial Recurrence | Infinite time loop; everyone is reborn as themselves to repeat the same life (Dies Irae). | | Fifth Heaven | Marie (Goddess of Twilight) | Twilight Reincarnation (Anima Entelecheia) | Reincarnation; each reincarnated life improves upon the last (Dies Entelecheia). | | Sixth Heaven | Hajun | Hajun’s Great Tengu Realm of Avarice | Extreme narcissism; beings kill until only “self” remains (Kajiri Kamui Kagura). | | Seventh Heaven | Habaki + Rindou’s child (Dawn) | Myriad Dawns | Souls reincarnate into the Heaven that fits their way of life; multi-law coexistence (KKK true end). | | (Non-Throne) | Reinhard Heydrich (Golden Beast) | Supreme Golden Heaven of the Asura Realm | Immortality + endless war/carnage; all become soldiers of Reinhard’s legion. | | (Non-Throne) | Ren Fujii / Tenma Yato (Eternal Moment) | Endless Moment of the Great Crimson Hell | Eternal stagnation; all motion suspended (time-stop law). |

   Notes:

   • The list of official Heavens up to the Seventh is consistent across wikis and fan summaries.【turn7fetch0】【turn12search11】【turn17search15】
   • “Tumor” (in KKK) and the “Eternal Moment” law’s variants are documented across multiple sources; their precise Taikyoku mechanics are discussed in the Terminology section below.【turn6find4】【turn6find5】

   2.3 Multiversal structure and “colors”

   • Before the Third Heaven, only a single timeline existed; from the Fourth Heaven onward, Mercurius extended the domain to a near-infinite multiverse with countless parallel universes.【turn0search1】【turn6find0】
   • “Colors”: A Law is often likened to a color painted on a canvas. A Hegemony God’s Taikyoku paints the universe with their color (Craving). Japanese atwiki explicitly frames Taikyoku as “the stage/order that colors the world with one’s own color (Craving).”【turn6find4】【turn20fetch0】
   • Beneath the multiverse lies the “colorless” primordial layer (Singularity). The atwiki/VS Battles cosmology notes it as a blank slate of formless Taikyoku, source for new concepts under the Throne’s command.【turn0search1】【turn6find4】

2.4 The “Observer” (司狼) and Naraka

   • Across all eras, an identically appearing gun-bearing man shows up—the Observer. They are tied to the system and are said to foreshadow a Heaven’s fall; their role is systematically explored in Pantheon’s meta-arc.【turn0search5】【turn17search15】【turn12search11】
   • Naraka: A mysterious entity in KKK/Pantheon who resurrects the fallen Hegemony Gods; thought to be the main body of the Observers, enforcing the Throne’s “don’t mess with the system” trend.【turn3fetch0】【turn0search1】

   3 Terminology & Power System

This section defines core terms used across Dies Irae, KKK, Avesta, and Aditya.

   3.1 Core metaphysical terms

   • Craving (渇望, Katsubō): A desire grown unfulfilled, expressed as thirst, hunger, prayer, or wish. It is the engine of power from the Fourth Era onward; Craving’s “color” defines a Law, and stronger Craving determines dominance in clashes.【turn6find3】
   • Law (法則, Hōsoku): The rule of the universe determined by the sitting God’s Craving, enforced via the Throne. All phenomena, souls, and concepts are subjugated to it while it holds.【turn7fetch0】
   • Taikyoku (太極): The supreme law-stage; reaching it makes one a “walking universe,” independent of the world. The English wiki emphasizes it as the ultimate law surpassing all natural laws; Japanese atwiki calls it “the stage that colors the world with one’s own color (Craving).”【turn6find4】【turn20fetch0】
     • Hegemony (覇道, Hadou): Outward Law—paints the universe with one’s color. Can take the Throne; only one can exist at a time.
     • Transcendence (求道, Gudou): Inward Law—paints only oneself, ignoring the world’s Law. Multiple can coexist; cannot take the Throne.
   • God (神): A being whose soul quality is high enough to impose a Law. Includes Hegemony and Transcendence types; there are also Pseudo-Gods who borrow divinity from a true God (e.g., LDO members, Yatsukahagi).【turn6find1】
   • Apoptosis (アポトーシス): The “Self-Destruction Factor.” A person born from a Hegemony God’s urge to die, whose actions and fate are geared toward killing that source God. Apoptoses automatically grow powerful enough to match their originator; if the God dies, the Apoptosis dies; if the Apoptosis dies, the God can be killed more easily. Example: Reinhard to Mercurius; Shirou/Tenma Sukuna to Ren/Yato; Rindou to the Tumor/Habaki.【turn6find5】
   • Singularity: A tear in reality created by clashing Hegemony Laws; at its deepest point lies the Throne. Used to access the Throne space.【turn6find4】【turn6find0】

   3.2 Magic/Ascension systems (Dies Irae — Ewigkeit)

   • Die Ewigkeit (“The Eternity”): A formula created by Mercurius that converts souls into power for ascending to higher stages.【turn12search28】
     • Assiah: Basic activation—manifesting an Ahnenerbe’s property (often invisible forces, akin to psychokinesis).
     • Yetzirah: Physical manifestation of one’s Holy Relic; enhanced physical abilities and halted aging.【turn12search28】
     • Briah: Manifesting one’s deepest desire as a phenomenological rule, split into:
       • Hadou Briah (Hegemony) — outward reality-warping (e.g., Ren’s time manipulation).
       • Gudou Briah (Transcendence) — self-contained reality (e.g., Schreiber’s always-faster speed).【turn12search28】
     • Atziluth: Godhood via Ewigkeit—concept-level reality manipulation. Reaching it is regarded as a birthright rather than a skill; those who attain it become Gods with amplified abilities. Also termed “Emanation.”【turn12search28】【turn6find1】

3.3 Kajiri Kamui Kagura / Avesta terms

   • Kamunagara: The physical manifestation/incarnation of a Hegemony God’s Law. In KKK, Yatsukahagi and pseudo-gods wield Kamunagara shaped by their God’s Law.【turn13fetch0】【turn13fetch1】
   • Distortion: A concept tied to how certain Taikyoku users can “distort” phenomena within the Sixth Heaven’s framework (Yakou Madara’s formless Taikyoku is explicitly contrasted with Distortion in KKK terminology).【turn6find4】
   • Old World Language (古言語): KKK’s mystical language used for spells and formulae.【turn13fetch1】
   • Avesta: The dualistic compulsion in the First Heaven that forces Good and Evil to fight endlessly; it is the era’s defining instinct/system. Under it, Ashavan (White) and Dragvant (Black) cannot coexist peacefully.【turn1fetch1】【turn3fetch0】
   • Yazata / Daeva / Archdemons: Military titles and ranks within the First Heaven’s factions; Yazata are elite Ashavan; Daeva are powerful Dragvant; the Seven Archdemons lead them.【turn1fetch1】
   • Ahnenerbe: A holy relic or artifact that houses a soul or power; in Dies Irae, Mercurius created Ren as his Ahnenerbe/substitute. Users of Ewigkeit bond with them.【turn10fetch0】【turn12search28】

   3.4 Shared meta terms

   • Observer (司狼, Shirou archetype): The recurring gun-wielding man who appears in every era, tied to the Throne system and Naraka. Their presence is a bad omen for the current Heaven.【turn0search5】【turn17search15】【turn12search11】
   • Pantheon (パンテオン): A meta-ability used in the Pantheon project; the new protagonist inherits Kouha’s “Pantheon” power to confront resurrected Hegemony Gods across Heavens.【turn3fetch0】【turn12search11】

   ---

4 Power system — Physiology and abilities

This section distills the physiological/ontological changes and abilities at each stage.

   4.1 Mortal-to-God stages

   • Mortal Ewigkeit users (Assiah–Yetzirah): Enhanced physicals, soul-bound relics, limited reality manipulation; still bound by world laws.
   • Briah users: Soul quality is high enough to impose a personal phenomenon; their “Craving type” (Hegemony vs Transcendence) determines whether they can potentially reach the Throne.
   • Atziluth/Taikyoku users: The soul’s quality makes them an independent universe; they are no longer contained by Creation. They can manipulate reality at the conceptual level. In Dies Irae terminology this is Atziluth; in KKK and Avesta it is Taikyoku/Big Bang (“Tenchi Kaibyaku”).【turn6find1】【turn6find4】

   4.2 Hegemony vs Transcendence physiology

   • Hegemony (覇道): Their Law radiates outward, overwriting all of Creation with their Craving. Only one can exist at a time; they can claim the Throne. Example: Mercurius, Reinhard, Marie, Hajun.【turn6find1】【turn7fetch0】
   • Transcendence (求道): Their Law is self-contained; they can coexist and ignore an existing Law, but cannot take the Throne. Example: Schreiber, Ren (in some routes), many KKK Transcendence gods.【turn6find1】【turn12search28】

   4.3 Apoptosis traits

   • Born with extremely high soul quality; superhuman physicals and sometimes resistance/immortality while their source lives.
   • Often carry a “Sense of Foreknowledge” (déjà vu of past loops) due to their connection to the source God.
   • Their fate and choices are unconsciously geared toward killing the source; they can “pollute” others with their traits (e.g., Reinhard turning souls into Einherjar; Shirou infecting others with Foreknowledge).【turn6find5】

   4.4 Pseudo-Gods

   • Individuals who achieve god-like status only via connection to a true God; their power is capped by the God they’re linked to. They can “close” their Taikyoku (suppress or seal it) unlike full Gods. Example: the LDO under Reinhard; the Yatsukahagi under Tenma Yato.【turn6find1】

Across routes, he ascends through Ewigkeit stages, confronts the LDO, and ultimately challenges Mercurius’s recurrence. Routes lead to Marie’s or Rea’s ascension to godhood and the end of the Fourth Heaven.【turn10fetch0】【turn11fetch0】

   Key characters

   • Ren Fujii: Protagonist; 17 in Dies Irae. Created by Mercurius as his Ahnenerbe and substitute (Zarathustra). Quiet, sarcastic, perverted underneath, fiercely protective of close ones; his deepest craving is for a peaceful, repeating daily life. Appearance: shoulder-length blue hair and eyes; gains caduceus markings when using Ewigkeit. Powers: Ewigkeit (Yetzirah: Margueritte-Bois de Justice; Briah: Eine Faust Overture/Scherzo/Finale; Atziluth: Res Novae – Also Sprach Zarathustra). Craving type: Transcendence in early routes; Hegemony (Marie/Rea ends). Relationships: Mercurius (creator/father), Shirou (Apoptosis), Lotus (soul blueprint), Marie (love interest and Fifth Heaven successor).【turn10fetch0】【turn11fetch0】

Tall, blonde, golden-eyed, in a white military uniform and black cape; an imposing, ever-smiling figure. Personality: formerly emotionless; post-awakening, philosophical and addicted to combat, driven by a Craving to “love everything” through destruction. Powers: Apoptosis traits (foreknowledge); Ewigkeit (Longinuslanze Testament; Briah: Gladsheimr – Gullinkambi; Atziluth: Du Sollst – Dies Irae). Relationships: Mercurius (source/father), Ren (brother via Mercurius), Riza (mother of his children), Isaak (unacknowledged son), Tenma Tokoyo (daughter), Rea and Kasumi (descendants).

   • Mercurius: The Mercurial Snake; Fourth Heaven’s god. Androgynous, long dark-blue hair; resembles Ren and Lotus; often in tattered black robes. Personality: bored, manipulative, philosophical; deeply loves Marie and sets up Dies Irae so she can kill him and take the Throne. Powers: creator of Ewigkeit; vast sorcery; Taikyoku ~90 (interview), capable of multiversal dominion; Law: Eternal Recurrence. Relationships: Reinhard (Apoptosis and friend), Marie (beloved), Rusalka (protege).

   • Marie: The Twilight Goddess; Fifth Heaven’s god. (Page blocked, but widely documented across sources.) Law: “I want to embrace everything”—Twilight Reincarnation. She reincarnates all souls to better lives and takes over after Mercurius, reigning until Hajun’s rise.

   • Shirou Yusa: Ren’s best friend; Ren’s Apoptosis (Malignant Tumor). Cursed with Foreknowledge; extremely durable; wields a Desert Eagle. Seeks excitement to break the monotony of his “curse.” His Apoptosis nature unconsciously pushes him to destroy Ren’s daily life, including killing Kasumi’s father, and ultimately to oppose Ren

   • Longinus Dreizehn Orden: The Obsidian Round Table of 13 superhumans, led by Reinhard. Members use Ewigkeit; become Pseudo-Gods upon Reinhard’s Atziluth. Notable members include Wilhelm Ehrenburg (Kaziklu Bey), Rusalka Schwagerin, Beatrice Von Kircheisen, Valeria Trifa, etc.

5.3 Dies Irae spin-offs (GY, Interview, Song to the Witch, Wolfsrudel)

5.4 Dies Entelecheia (Fifth Heaven — Twilight Reincarnation)

   • Era: Fifth Heaven — “Twilight Reincarnation (Anima Entelecheia).”【turn7fetch0】
   • Format and structure: Web novel (2025–), unit-style across planets and eras, over centuries/millennia. Each chapter is a “Calendar” and a world. It follows protagonist Akasha across reincarnations, ending at Earth 12,000 years later. It deliberately has “no mastermind” and minimal divine intervention—just human stories under the Twilight Law.【turn17search1】
   • Placement: Dies Irae’s future and KKK’s prequel. Originally conceived as part of Pantheon’s Fifth Heaven chapter.【turn17search1】

5.5 Kajiri Kamui Kagura (Sixth Heaven)

   • Era: Sixth Heaven — “Hajun’s Great Tengu Realm of Avarice.”【turn7fetch0】
   • Setting: Shinshuu (Japan analogue), isolated for 300 years after a failed eastern expedition. “Demons” from the East loom; Shinshuu sends a new Eastern Expedition. The world under Hajun’s Law is a narcissistic hell where all kill until only self remains.【turn3fetch0】【turn12search20】
   • Plot: The Yatsukahagi, led by Tenma Yato (Ren’s future self), guard the world frozen in time to contain Hajun. The Eastern Expedition (Habaki, Rindou, etc.) fights to break Hajun’s Law. Rindou is the Apoptosis of the Tumor (Hajun’s absorbed twin); her bond with Habaki and the Tumor’s suppressed Craving become key to cracking Hajun’s otherwise invincible stance. After Yato’s death opens a path, the Expedition reaches the Throne and, using Soujirou and Shiori, defeats Hajun. The Tumor is reborn as Dawn, Habaki and Rindou’s daughter, inaugurating the Seventh Heaven where multiple Laws coexist.【turn6find0】【turn11fetch3】【turn6find5】

   Key characters

   • Hajun: Sixth Heaven’s Hegemony God. Appearance: short, slim; dark skin; wavy golden hair like flames; three eyes (silver irises, white pupils, black sclera); long earlobes; gold markings and jewelry. Personality: infantile reasoning; pure narcissism; sees everything as “invaders” of his body; doesn’t comprehend promises or names; mood swings between euphoria, rage, and apathy. Powers: Taikyoku of absolute self-love; Law turns all into narcissistic killers; extremely difficult to damage without exploiting his twin (the Tumor) and the Kyougetsu siblings’ “crack.” Masada has called him the strongest within the divine system’s framework.【turn9find3】

   • Tenma Yato: Ren Fujii’s future identity; leader of the Yatsukahagi. Appearance: resembles Ren; wields a katana; dark attire. Personality: calm and polite outwardly; inwardly consumed by hatred for Hajun and the West’s “cells.” Willing to sacrifice everything, including himself, to open a path to the Throne. Powers: Taikyoku “Mugen Dai Guren Jigoku”—stops time across realms (Time Armor); at full power, drills a Singularity toward Hajun’s Throne. He protected Edo for 8,000 years under this law. Relationships: protects his friends’ reincarnated selves; loves Tenma Tokoyo; dies to enable Hajun’s defeat.【turn11fetch3】

   • Rindou Koga: Protagonist of KKK alongside Habaki. Apoptosis of the Tumor (and, by proxy, of Habaki). She alone in Mahamara retains Hegemony traits untainted by Hajun’s egocentric worldview. Her actions, like spreading the Tumor Mandala, help her companions but risk exposing the Tumor. She ultimately transcends her Apoptosis role, contributing to the birth of the Seventh Heaven’s Law. Appearance and personality: (page partially accessible; key traits summarized from Apoptosis and Law pages).【turn6find5】【turn7fetch0】

   • Habaki Sakagami: Rindou’s partner; the Tumor’s Sensory; Hajun’s twin. His bond with Rindou and the Tumor’s suppressed Craving for others (“light of dawn”) are exploited to defeat Hajun. He uses Misogiharae – Yomotsugaeri to reflect Yato’s final attack, accepting his death to prove bonds over self-love. (Page accessible; detailed story in KKK.)【turn11fetch3】

   • Shiori Kujou & Soujirou Mibu: Key members of the Eastern Expedition; Soujirou’s and Shiori’s combined power is used to fully open the Singularity to the Throne, enabling the final battle.【turn6find0】

5.6 Avesta of Black and White (First Heaven)

   • Era: First Heaven — “Dualistic Truth of Good and Evil.”【turn7fetch0】
   • Setting: A universe locked in the instinct of Avesta: White (Ashavan, Good) vs Black (Dragvant, Evil). No lasting peace is possible. Story follows Magsarion, Quinn, and the Yazata against the Dragvant and the Seven Archdemons.【turn3fetch0】【turn1fetch1】
   • Plot: The First Heaven concludes with Demon King Khvarenah’s assault and the death of hero Varhram. Magsarion (Varhram’s brother) and the Yazata continue their war, while Quinn searches for “miracles.” The nature of Avesta and the universe’s secret unravel, culminating in Magsarion exterminating all life and ascending to the Throne to face the Atman and Varhram for the Throne succession.【turn3fetch0】【turn1fetch1】

   Key characters

   • Magsarion: “Wicked Warrior.” Apoptosis of the First Heaven’s Law/Divine Sword; metaphorically the “cancer cells” born to destroy their mother. His crusade annihilates all life, leading him to the Throne for the final battle. Relationships: Varham (brother); Mitra/Mithra (effectively his mother via the Divine Sword).【turn1fetch1】【turn11fetch2】【turn6find5】
   • Quinn: A fusion of Good and Evil; tasked by her “father” to learn hope and miracles. Her POV anchors much of the story; she joins the Yazata and interacts with Magsarion, Samluch, Zurvan, Ferdows, and others. (Detailed in Avesta page.)【turn1fetch1】【turn0search9】
   • Khvarenah: Demon King whose assault triggers the First Heaven’s finale; major Dragvant figure.【turn3fetch0】
   • Seven Archdemons: Dragvant leaders including Kaikhosru and Nadare. Kaikhosru confronts Magsarion with the truth of his relation to the Divine Sword. Nadare is the final Archdemon faced in the Singularity Angra Maniyu.【turn1fetch1】【turn6find5】

5.7 Event Horizon Battlefront Aditya (Era before the Divine Throne)

   • Era: Pre-Throne; “Zeroth Heaven.” Advanced science, spacefaring humanity, discovery of the Origin Coordinate, and emergence of unexplainable abilities. Universal war erupts over reaching the “Land of the Beginning.” Features four main factions and six protagonists. Key known events: the fall of the stellar fleet, the destruction of Sodom, the sleep of Lot and Lilliel, and the birth of “Twilight” and others whose cravings will later crystallize into the First Heaven’s Law.【turn4fetch0】【turn12search7】

   5.8 Dies Irae: Pantheon (Meta-arc)

   • Concept: “Super Shinza Battle.” A mobile game designed to gather all series’ characters and resolve long-standing mysteries. The new protagonist inherits Kouha’s “Pantheon” ability to fight resurrected Hegemony Gods. It spans stories from the 0th to the 9th Throne in ten chapters, each with large text count (~500kb). It features a new protagonist, the Seventh Heaven’s “Shin-Ga (True Self)” as commander, and enlists even Hajun under special circumstances. Currently paused in development; a prequel drama “The Day All Gods Gather” was released and bundled with the Switch Amantes Amentes edition.【turn3fetch0】【turn13fetch2】【turn12search11】【turn17search22】

In KKK, he persists as Tenma Yato, guardian of the Fifth Heaven, resisting Hajun for 8,000 years before sacrificing himself to enable the Expedition’s victory. In Pantheon, he is revived among the resurrected gods.【turn10fetch0】【turn11fetch3】
   • Powers: Ewigkeit (Briah: time manipulation; Atziluth: Res Novae – Also Sprach Zarathustra). As Tenma Yato: Taikyoku “Mugen Dai Guren Jigoku” (time-stop armor; reality-level time halt; Singularity drilling).【turn10fetch0】【turn11fetch3】
   • Personality: Reclusive, blunt, sarcastic; cherishes routine and safety; becomes a “tsundere” protector of those he loves, especially Marie. As Yato, more hardened but still values friends and ultimately chooses their future over himself.【turn11fetch0】【turn11fetch3】
   • Appearance: Shoulder-length blue hair/eyes; caduceus in eyes when using Ewigkeit; resembles Mercurius and Lotus.【turn10fetch0】

   6.2 Reinhard Heydrich

   • Series: Dies Irae → KKK → Pantheon

   • Powers: Ewigkeit (Yetzirah: Longinuslanze Testament; Briah: Gladsheimr – Gullinkambi; Atziluth: Du Sollst – Dies Irae). Hegemony Law: Supreme Golden Heaven of the Asura Realm (endless war, immortality, all become his soldiers). Apoptosis traits (foreknowledge, soul-to-Einherjar conversion).【turn10fetch1】【turn6find5】
   • Personality: Emotionless in youth; post-awakening, philosophical, addicted to combat, loving everything through destruction. Values loyalty and honor; keeps promises. His Craving is “to love everything at full power.”【turn11fetch1】

   6.3 Mercurius

   • Series: Across the meta-series; Fourth Heaven’s god; appears as Karl Krafft in the LDO
   • Story: The Mercurial Snake; creates Ewigkeit and the Eternal Recurrence. Orchestrates Dies Irae so Marie can kill him; later, as a recording, fights alongside Marie against Hajun. In Pantheon, resurrected.
   • Powers: Creator of Die Ewigkeit; can wield any relic. Hegemony God with Taikyoku ~90; Law: Eternal Mercurial Recurrence (infinite loops of the same life). Capable of multiversal expansion. In principle, he could erase Hajun if not for the Tumor complicating the Sixth Heaven.
   • Personality: Bored, philosophical, poetic; manipulative yet fond of Reinhard; deeply loves Marie. His manipulations infuriate others, but he is genuinely attached to his “sworn friend.”
   • Appearance: Androgynous; long dark-blue hair; resembles Ren and Lotus; often in tattered black robes or a dark blue coat with red armband.

   6.4 Marie (Goddess of Twilight)

   • Series: Dies Irae (heroine) → KKK (Fifth Heaven’s goddess)
   • Story: A kind girl whose death and subsequent godhood (natural-born soul quality) lead her to inherit the Throne from Mercurius, establishing Twilight Reincarnation. She rules the Fifth Heaven until Hajun’s usurpation; her guardians (Ren/Yato, Reinhard, Mercurius) defend her but fall. In KKK true end, her Law is among those allowed to coexist in the Seventh Heaven.
   • Powers: Hegemony God; Law: Twilight Reincarnation (“I want to embrace everything”)—reincarnates all souls into better lives. Natural-born goddess (Full-Blood) with high Taikyoku.
   • Personality: Compassionate, motherly; desires to embrace all sorrow and evil without discrimination. (Page blocked; personality widely attested in interviews and summaries.)

   6.5 Hajun

   • Series: Kajiri Kamui Kagura (Sixth Heaven’s god) → Pantheon
   • Story: A Child-God born during the Fifth Heaven, absorbed his twin (the Tumor) in utero; his narcissism creates the Sixth Heaven’s Law of universal self-love and mutual slaughter. Almost unkillable except via the Tumor’s “crack.” After being defeated, his Tumor is reborn as Dawn, inaugurating the Seventh Heaven.
   • Powers: Hegemony God; Taikyoku of absolute self-love; Law: Great Tengu Realm of Avarice. Perfect ego prevents him from generating an Apoptosis. His Law is so strong that even Mercurius admits he couldn’t erase him once the Tumor was factored in.
   • Personality: Infantile reasoning; doesn’t understand promises, names, or others; perceives everything as part of his body; extreme mood swings. Masada calls him the strongest within the divine system’s framework.

   6.6 Mithra / Mitra Paramatman / Shinga

   • Series: Aditya (pre-Throne), Avesta (First Heaven), Dies Entelecheia (Fifth Heaven), KKK, Pantheon
   • Story: In Aditya, Mitra Paramatman is a charismatic leader of the Aditya Stellar Fleet, seeking the Land of the Beginning for true immortality. In Avesta, she becomes “Shinga,” the First Heaven’s god (Ahura Mazda), whose Law creates the Good vs Evil duality. As Shinga, she is both mother and enemy of all, with karma of “Defeat,” planning around her own failures. She sacrifices her rage to prioritize the “heart.” She is Magsarion’s effective mother (via the Divine Sword) and has a close, romance-bonded relationship with Varuna. Later appearances span Entelecheia and Pantheon, often as an antagonistic yet complex divine presence.
   • Powers: As Shinga, Hegemony God; First Heaven’s Law: Dualistic Truth of Good and Evil; Apoptosis: Magsarion. As Mitra, high-tier superhuman combatant and leader.

   6.7 Rindou Koga

   • Series: Kajiri Kamui Kagura
   • Story: Central protagonist. Apoptosis of the Tumor/Habaki; only person in Mahamara with untainted Hegemony traits. Commander of the Eastern Expedition; her spread of the Tumor Mandala both aids comrades and endangers the Tumor. She transcends her Apoptosis role, helping birth the Seventh Heaven’s Law. She and Habaki are the parents of Dawn, the Seventh Heaven’s goddess.
   • Powers: Hegemony-type characteristics; can spread the Tumor Mandala; high soul quality; as Apoptosis, tied to the Tumor’s survival. (Full profile partially accessible via KKK pages.)

   9 Notes and limitations

   • Many character pages (e.g., Marie, Lyle, Lilliel, Nerose Satanel) are intermittently blocked by security checks; profiles above rely on accessible lines plus cross-referenced community summaries and Chinese/Japanese overviews.
   • Dies Irae Pantheon is in hiatus; details derive from official site, prequel drama summaries, and Chinese community articles.
   • Event Horizon Battlefront Aditya and Dies Entelecheia are ongoing web novels; some details are provisional.

   ---

Below are full, standalone synopses for both web novels, drawn from the most authoritative and detailed public sources available (English Shinza Bansho Wiki entries, Japanese atwiki summaries, TV Tropes, official creator posts on Fantia, and a widely cited Bilibili character/setting article for Aditya). Given that Aditya is ongoing, its synopsis is necessarily partial and based on released/summarized material. I’ll flag what’s confirmed vs. inferred where appropriate.

Event Horizon Battlefront Aditya (事象地平戦線アーディティヤ, 2022–TBD) — Synopsis

   Basic data

   • Format: Web novel (later planned as light novels), illustrated by G Yuusuke; written by Takashi Masada.
   • Place in the timeline: the “Age of Zero” (0th era) — before the Divine Throne (神座) exists.
   • Status: serializing; hiatus in mid‑2022 due to artist overload; resumed Jan 2023; publication continues alongside Avesta’s VN/LN editions.
   • Foregone conclusion (canon): TV Tropes notes that the ending is already established: Mitra will become the first Hegemony God, inaugurating the Throne system and the cycle of “god succession.”

Setting and core premise (what’s confirmed)

   • The human civilization has spread across the universe under an extremely advanced, science‑dominated setup; there is no magic or supernatural power at the start.

   • At some point, scientists observe the “Origin Coordinate” (起源座標), a special point that behaves like the source of all laws. After this observation, people begin manifesting abilities that science cannot explain. This power is later understood as “color” — the embryo of what will later be formalized as “Taikyoku/Law” once the Throne exists.

   • A universal “Law” called Amrita — a curse of immortality from Naraka — has saturated the cosmos. Amrita makes everyone unable to die even if their bodies are destroyed; they still age and cannot regenerate wounds, but they don’t die. This turns the Age of Zero into a “living hell” where “life itself is an omen.”

   • In response, everyone is driven by the Amrita curse to seek the “Land of the Beginning” — a gateway to the root that “dyes the universe in its Law.” Reaching it should enable them to fulfill their wish. If an Amrita‑afflicted being is totally destroyed, they become Yuga.

   • A great war erupts across the universe to reach the Land of the Beginning, with Amrita as both drive and fuel. The war splits into four main factions converging on six youths (including Mitra, Varuna, Arya, Sati, Savitr, and Sakra).

   Factions (what’s listed)

From the Shinza Bansho wiki’s Aditya page:

   • Brahmana — Mitra, Varuna, Arya, Sati.
   • Saiva — Savitr, Goraksa, Trishula, Terminus.
   • Trivikrama — Vivas.
   • Rudrya — Sakra. These factions fight across the cosmos, but the narrative focuses tightly on the “Aditya” group (Brahmana).

   Core cast (what’s confirmed)

   • Mitra Paramatman: Commander of Starfleet Aditya; later becomes the First Throne God (Mithra). Born in the 1174th year of the “Fourth Calamity” on planet Ulbashi; entered the Atman family as an assassin trainee; by age 14 she awakened as a new‑generation talent and was engaged to Varuna. Officially, she is “male” in records (he/him pronouns), but is biologically female — a detail that’s well‑known among fans. She’s an outlier among the Paramatman: emotionally unreadable and seemingly broken, yet charismatic and combat‑effective. She has a secret: she feels haunted since childhood by a mystery about being called a “sage,” which she hides from her friends. Mitra leads the quest for the Origin Coordinate to undo the Amrita curse.
   • Varuna: Mitra’s chief subordinate and former lover; designated next head of the Atman family. He fights alongside her to the Origin Coordinate.
   • Arya: A woman with prosthetic legs; despite that, she still feels everything done to those legs (body‑horror aspect of Amrita). Mitra personally recruited her after being impressed by her combat skills; Arya’s devotion becomes absolute and spiritual, dissolving into Mitra’s being to the point she is absorbed into the structure of the future First Throne. Arya is fiercely loyal and Mitra cherishes her deeply.
   • Sati: Mitra’s companion and comrade from the Atman family; appears in the Aditya roster.
   • Savitr: Leader of Saiva and Mitra’s foremost rival. Later joins the heroes’ party. Mirrors the Indic‑divine name (Savitr is a Vedic solar deity).
   • Sakra: A space pirate, feared as the strongest man alive; later one of the six. Name mirrors Indra (Śakra).
   • Vivas: Princess of a theocratic superpower; a troublemaking, curious figure with a “trickstar” streak. Crosses paths with Mitra’s crew. Name aligns with another Aditya‑class solar deity (Vivasvat).

Plot (as far as public summaries allow)

The published information and community notes converge on the following arc:

   • Early life: Mitra’s childhood is harsh; she enters the Atman family’s assassin training institution under Sati and rapidly distinguishes herself. Despite high achievement, she’s politically incompetent and constantly embroiled in conspiracies, yet somehow survives — a pattern that foreshadows her ability to manipulate events from the shadows.
   • Mystery: From childhood she is haunted by a sense of being a “sage,” a secret she does not fully share, believing her friends couldn’t stay friends if they knew. This mystery is tied to her ultimate identity and role in the cosmology. She outwardly claims to despise human emotions, but her actions suggest otherwise.
   • Command: By the era’s final war, Mitra commands Starfleet Aditya for the Federation, with Varuna and Arya as her closest aides. Their mission: reach the Origin Coordinate (“Land of the Beginning”) and break the Amrita curse afflicting all life.
   • War across the stars: The quest turns into a sprawling space war. Mitra’s fleet clashes repeatedly with rival forces: Savitr’s Saiva, Sakra’s pirates, and others. The “Kalachakra” mineral appears as a special power source for weapons (TV Tropes). Over the course of battles, alliances shift and enmities intertwine. Daksa, founder/ruler of Brahmana, is noted as a monstrous “Evil Overlord” in Federation histories.
   • Convergence: The struggle narrows to six youths — Mitra, Varuna, Arya, Sati, Savitr, Sakra, Vivas (per wiki lists and fan notes) — who, despite being from opposing sides, are the ones who actually reach the Origin Coordinate after great sacrifice. They come into contact with Naraka, the entity behind Amrita; the experience is an encounter with an alien, incomprehensible concept. All except Mitra go mad (or “fade into history”); Mitra either remains sane — or is the one who goes mad alone, depending on interpretation.
   • Legacy — creation of the Throne: To resist Naraka, Mitra conceives and actualizes the Divine Throne system. She becomes the first Hegemony God (First Heaven, “Dualistic Truth of Good and Evil”); her companions fuse with the Throne’s structure and become “Naraka” (a later meta‑antagonist). In doing so, Mitra inaugurates the Throne cycle and the “god succession drama,” explicitly linking Aditya to Avesta and, down the line, to Dies Irae Pantheon. TV Tropes emphasizes this foregone conclusion, and the Japanese atwiki summary underlines that she plans the entire system as a counter to Naraka. After Mitra’s ascension, her Law paints the universe with its first “color.”

   Status and notes

   • The web novel is in progress; what exists publicly is a mix of official short summaries (Shinza Bansho Wiki), Japanese fan‑maintained atwiki entries (with in‑universe notes and author tweets), Chinese fan articles summarizing early chapters, and TV Tropes’ trope list (which is good for tone and some setting details, but not a full plot outline). No full chapter‑by‑chapter synopsis is publicly available in a single source as of the latest updates.
   • Aditya also introduces important concepts reused across Shinza Bansho: Amrita, Yuga, Kala Stone, Avatara, Samudra Manthana, etc., but their full definitions belong to the Terminology section rather than the synopsis.

Avesta of Black and White (黒白のアヴェスター, 2019–2021) — Synopsis

   Basic data

   • Format: Web novel (2019–07‑16), with illustrations by G Yuusuke; written by Takashi Masada. Concluded with 16 main chapters plus side material; later announced as a two‑part visual novel (Avesta: Refusal) with a 2025 release for Part 1.
   • Place in the timeline: the era of the First Divine Throne (“First Heaven”) — Law: Dualistic Truth of Good and Evil. This is the final phase of the First Heaven, leading directly to its collapse and the transfer of the Throne. The events directly precede (and partly overlap with) the creation of the Second Heaven (Paradise Lost) in the in‑universe chronology.
   • Thematic inspiration: Zoroastrian dualism; the name “Avesta” refers to the Zoroastrian holy text. The story treats dualism as a cosmic, instinct‑level compulsion rather than a philosophy — “Avesta” is the name given to the kill‑or‑be‑killed compulsion built into life itself.

   Setting and core premise

   • The First Heaven’s Law divides all life into two camps: Ashavan (White/Good) and Dragvant (Black/Evil). The division is absolute: “White vs Black, Light vs Dark, Good vs Evil — the definitions don’t matter. What’s certain is that you and I are incompatible, so the fight does not end until one side is destroyed.” This instinct is called Avesta, and it’s treated as an unshakeable common sense — a biological, physiological truth, an instinct. The series’ tagline: “This is a story of the demon path — the track of a man walking the killing fields, from the end of Avesta (Shin-Ga) to Muzan (Mushin).”
   • The First Heaven itself is ruled by the Atman — the “Truth Self” — whose aspects include Mitra (Shinga). At the start of the series, the Demon King Khvarenah launches a catastrophic attack that kills the hero Varhram and shatters the existing order. His assault signals the beginning of the end‑stage for the First Heaven, setting the plot in motion.
   • Humanity is led by the Holy Kingdom Wahman Yast under Holy King Sirius. Military affairs are handled by elite Ashavan units, the Yazata. The Dragvant side is led by powerful demons, Daeva, and the “Seven Archdemons,” including Khvarenah, Kaikhosru, and Nadare, each with their own domains and legions. As a rule, Dragvant individuals are far stronger than average Ashavan, so the war is long, brutal, and seemingly endless.
   • The narrative tagline focuses on Quinn, a girl born from the opposing sides (Good/Evil) and tasked with “collecting miracles,” and on Magsarion, the “Wicked Warrior” who walks a remorseless path of breaking dualism. Their paths and those of other Yazata gradually reveal the truth of the world and the nature of Avesta.

   Main cast and their roles

   • Magsarion: the “Wicked Warrior,” one of the strongest Yazata. An out‑and‑out pragmatist who does not hesitate to kill Ashavan villagers if they’re compromised, even wiping out a village that worships one of Khvarenah’s inventions. Over time, his crusade escalates: he exterminates all life in the universe and is personally brought to the Throne to face the Atman and Varhram, leading to the succession battle that ends the First Heaven. He is later revealed as the Apoptosis of the First Heaven’s Divine Sword/Atman, i.e., “cancer cells” born to destroy their mother (Mitra) and then perish. By the end he has become “Muzan” (Mushin), the “remorseless” nihilist who has eradicated all distinctions of good and evil — the endpoint of Avesta. Officially listed as a Yazata and a Hegemony God by the time of Pantheon.
   • Quinn (クイン): A girl born from both Ashavan and Dragvant lineage; therefore, she violates Avesta’s binary. She is born (in a sense) from the Demon King Khvarenah’s side and confronts him early. She later awakens in the “Star Cluster of Extinction” with a mission: to learn what “miracles” are, on behalf of her “father.” She joins the Yazata and befriends Samluch, Zurvan, and others. As the story progresses, Quinn’s role becomes increasingly central: she observes and collects fragments of hope and miracle across a doomed world. After the battle with Nadare, she disappears into the Singularity Angra Maniyu with Magsarion for his duel, and her ultimate fate is tied to the new world that follows the First Heaven. At the start, the prologue shows Priestess Quinn’s suicide and the subsequent birth of Frederica, implying reincarnation or a cyclical element in the world’s structure.
   • Samluch: a young Yazata who undergoes a ceremony to become a full‑fledged Yazata under Sirius; a friend and comrade to Quinn. Through him, readers learn about the Three Heroes (Varhram, Nahid, Sirius) and the fall of the previous Wahman Yast. He also witnesses Magsarion’s self‑destructive training and is horrified by it.
   • Sirius: the Holy King of Wahman Yast; one of the “Three Heroes” who once saved the world; he aims to create a new world. His leadership holds the Ashavan coalition together even as the world collapses around them.
   • Nahid: one of the “Three Heroes,” frozen and watched over by Ferdows. Her existence and legacy loom over the story; her ice and history may hold crucial secrets about the First Heaven’s design and its weaknesses.
   • Zurvan: a Yazata who assigns the party a new mission after Samluch’s promotion. His mindset and beliefs contrast with Magsarion’s extremism, and he plays a key role in the alliance that eventually opposes the Archdemons. In later volumes, his worldview and relationship to the Law (“Commandments”) become a thematic focal point. Volume 2 is subtitled “Shameful Sky,” and Japanese volume blurbs describe him dealing with contradictions between being “within the Law” and “exceeding it without being outside it.”
   • Ferdows: caretaker of the frozen Nahid; provides exposition about past eras and holds secrets. Often found with Quinn and Samluch, he’s a veteran guide to the world’s lore.
   • Alma: a Yazata who appears during the Hero’s Festival arc; his actions intersect with the broader war and politics of Wahman Yast.

   On the Dragvant/Archdemon side:

   • Khvarenah: the “Demon King” whose attack kills Varhram; effectively the catalyst of the story’s timeline. He and his inventions (which pervert prayer) cause horrific tragedies and set the stage for Magsarion’s radical turn. The Avesta page explicitly frames his assault as the event that begins the end‑stage of the First Heaven.
   • Kaikhosru: an Archdemon controlling Zahhāk; the party’s mission to Zahhāk is to face him. His confrontation with Magsarion exposes the truth of Magsarion’s relation to the Divine Sword/Atman, and he becomes a turning‑point antagonist in Volume 1.
   • Nadare: the last of the Seven Archdemons, encountered in the Singularity Angra Maniyu. The final duel between Magsarion and Nadare triggers the Singularity and leads to Magsarion’s ascent to the Throne and the final Throne battle. Nadare is one of the most dangerous opponents and a key to unlocking the endgame. He is noted as the Sensory of “The Truth,” making him a Pseudo‑Transcendence God; his existence ties directly to the mechanics of Law and Apoptosis in the First Heaven.
   • Frederica and the Man‑Murdering Demons: a group that arrives at Zahhāk during the Husk Star arc; they serve as antagonists/obstacles to the Yazata during that segment. Frederica is explicitly listed among the Seven Archdemons, implying she’s a high‑ranking Dragvant commander. Their presence forces a multi‑front battle that tests the protagonists and escalates the scale of the war.

   At the highest level:

   • Mitra (Shinga/Atman): the First Throne God, who designed the First Heaven’s Law from the “other side” (Avesta’s gods and creatures), including Magsarion, Varhram, and the Yazata, as tools against Naraka. She does not appear directly in the main text of Avesta, but her influence permeates the world and the Divine Sword; Magsarion’s Apoptosis relationship to her is confirmed in the Apoptosis page and the Mithra page, and the atwiki entry calls her Avesta. Her plan is explicitly to have herself overthrown as part of a long‑term strategy to oppose Naraka — i.e., the “Dualistic Truth” Law is built to be broken. This connects Avesta’s ending directly to the creation of the Divine Throne and the beginning of the multi‑Heaven saga that continues through Paradise Lost and Dies Irae.

Volume‑by‑volume story progression (using all available sources)

What follows is a compiled, non‑exhaustive summary. Chapter names are from the Shinza Bansho wiki’s listing, with additional color from Japanese volume blurbs (atwiki) and the opening prologue translation (Bilibili article).

Volume 1 — The Wicked Warrior (不善の戦士)

   • Prologue: “Prayer (祈り)” — A priestess (Quinn) commits suicide; a girl named Frederica is subsequently born. In the Star Cluster of Extinction, Quinn confronts her “father” Khvarenah, hinting at her dual origin and the broader cosmic stakes.
   • Wicked Warrior: Quinn and her squad are nearly wiped fighting a regenerating Daeva. Only she and Samluch survive; Magsarion suddenly appears and finishes it. A nearby Ashavan village celebrates them, and Quinn bonds with a local girl, Layley. Magsarion vanishes. Two days later, another Daeva attacks; it is revealed the villagers were secretly worshipping one of Khvarenah’s inventions as a “god,” and their prayers were twisted by the device. Magsarion slaughters the entire village, including Layley, because their corrupted faith made them enemies. This incident crystallizes his creed: he will break any principle that lets Ashavan die pointlessly. Quinn is horrified but powerless to stop him. The chapter establishes the central question: is there any hope left in a world where even “miracles” are corrupted?

Volume 2 — Shameful Sky (慙愧の空)

   • The surviving Yazata return to Wahman Yast. Samluch undergoes a ritual to become a full‑fledged Yazata under Sirius. This ceremony is intercut with a lore dump about the Three Heroes (Varhram, Nahid, Sirius) and the fall of the previous Wahman Yast. Quinn reveals the identities of the Seven Archdemons to Samluch, raising the stakes. They visit Ferdows, who looks after the frozen Nahid; in her room, they see Magsarion’s brutal self‑destructive training, foreshadowing his break from Ashavan norms. The chapter introduces Zurvan, who sets the group on a new mission, and it explores the tension between personal bonds and the rigid dualism of Avesta. The tone shifts toward institutional rot, moral compromise, and the first serious signs that the Ashavan cause may be self‑defeating. The Japanese blurb emphasizes Quinn’s arc: celebrated as a hero after a prior battle, but her actual condition is deteriorating; the surface “victory” masks deepening tragedy. “Shameful Sky” suggests a sky/cloud metaphor — the heavens are “shameful,” reflecting a world where justice and falsehood are blurring.

Volume 3 — Something Immutable (不変なるもの)

   • The scale escalates: Archdemon Nadare can manipulate the arrangement of stars, forcing all major factions into a single battlefield. A chaotic “All‑sides battle” ensues, and strange alliances form. The volume explores Varhram’s past via flashbacks, revealing his ideals and how they were twisted, and introduces the concept of the “Immutable” — things that persist despite the Law. The Japanese blurb describes relentless combat, with no time to rest, and a 20‑year‑old dead hero’s bizarre legacy returning to haunt the present. Mitra’s long‑term preparations begin to surface through side materials and retroactive hints, though she is not the on‑screen focus. The third volume ends with questions about identity, legacy, and whether the world can change at all, or if Avesta itself is immutable. The Japanese tagline on the cover: “All of this, so the killing fields don’t remain a mere wasteland.”

Volume 4 — Remorseless Paradise of the Fallen (慙愧無間楽土)

   • The endgame. Magsarion departs with Quinn into the Singularity Angra Maniyu for a duel with the last Archdemon, Nadare. The battle’s outcome opens the Singularity, and Magsarion is taken to the Throne. There he confronts the Atman and Varhram — revealing the First Heaven’s true ruler and Magsarion’s brother. The final battle for the Throne succession takes place. On one side stands the “Dualistic Truth” system and its mechanisms; on the other is Magsarion, who has exterminated all life and has become “Muzan,” intending to erase even that dualistic order. The volume’s title foreshadows a “remorseless paradise” — a heaven without sin, or a hell that has been cleansed of alternatives. The Japanese blurb explicitly notes that the story ends with Magsarion at the Throne, facing the Atman/Varhram, and that afterward “there follows the story of gods and people up to the Seventh Heaven,” with Avesta serving as the beginning. The volume’s epilogue hints at the broader Shinza timeline: “From here on, the story of gods and people for seven generations follows. The beginning of all that — the Avesta — ends here.”

   Narrative core and themes

Across four volumes, Avesta is structured as a tragic war epic whose real subject is the concept of “dualism” itself. The term “Avesta” is both the world’s instinct to kill and the religious text it borrows its name from; the story asks whether Good vs Evil can ever produce salvation, or whether breaking that dichotomy is the only true “miracle.” Quinn’s “collecting miracles” motif provides the emotional counterpoint to Magsarion’s extermination of “color.” Varhram’s legacy, Sirius’s dream, Zurvan’s contradictions, and the Seven Archdemons each embody different answers to the same question — all leading to the Singularity where Magsarion offers his own final answer by erasing all differences. The narrative’s motto, “Everything is a story interwoven by people’s hearts; therefore it is imperfect, fleeting, precious, and thus beautiful” (from TV Tropes’ lead quote), applies directly to Avesta’s structure: a mosaic of POVs and side‑stories whose “imperfection” becomes the point.

7. #7Powers and Abilitiesconstant

-The Die Ewigkeit Abilities List: Ewigkeit

The Ewigkeit, also known as Sorcery/Magic is a magical formula created by Mercurius that forms a symbiotic between its user and their Ahnenerbe, and a Ahnenerbe is a Holy Relic formed consuming souls and concepts with there being four types of Ewigkeit users.

Fusion Type: This type of Ewigkeit user fuses themselves with their Ahnenerbe, however in this state they are incapable of rational thought making defense for them almost like a foreign concept.

Materialization Type: This type of Ewigkeit user manifests their Ahnenerbe as a physical weapon be it a sword, lance, gun etc.

Expansion Type: This type of Ewigkeit user focuses on using magic to control things. In terms of raw power they are below average but they make up for this by having great support and defense.

Special Type: This type of Ewigkeit user either doesn't fit into the description that defines any of the other three or can be defined by multiple of them.

   Ewigkeit Degrees

Now the Ewigkeit has four degrees that can be accessed through becoming stronger.

Assiah: The first degree of the Ewigkeit allows the user to manifest the effect of their Ahnenerbe.

Yetzirah: The second degree of the Ewigkeit allows the user to summon their Ahnenerbe.

Bri’ah: The third degree of the Ewigkeit creates a parallel world based off of the user’s deepest desire that transcends the laws of the world.

Now the Bri’ah degrees can manifest as one of three types depending on the user, Hegemony and Transcendence.

Hegemony: The Hegemony type changes the world around themselves to affect others.

Transcendence: The Transcendence type instead of changing the world around them like Hegemony they change themselves based on their desire.

Hybrid: Although extremely rare it is possible for a Bri’ah to have traits of both Hegemony and Transcendence types, an example being Ren Fuji.

Atziluth: The fourth degree of the Ewigkeit takes the world manifested by the Bri’ah and emanates it over creation.

-Poison Manipulation, and Concept Manipulation (3) (A attack from a Ahnenerbe leaks the power of the concepts consumed by them creating a poison.)

-Soul Absorption, Empowerment, and Non Physical Interaction (Ewigkeit users absorb the souls of those they kill to become stronger even if the souls in question lack a physical form.)

-Incorporeal Form, Mid-Godly Regeneration, and Mid-Godly Regeneration negation (Ewigkeit users can use the souls they have consumed to heal themselves and can even regenerate their body while they are only a soul although it does take a long time for them to fully regenerate this way.)

-Soul Manipulation (Every attack of an Ewigkeit user affects the soul and can’t be defended against unless you have both physical and spiritual defense.)

-Soul Armor (The Ewigkeit gives the user soul armor making them impossible to beat if you can’t affect their body and soul.)

-Magic (As mentioned before the Ewigkeit is a form of magic turning their souls into magic making every one of their attacks magical.)

-Superhuman Physical Characteristics (The Ewigkeit grants the user capabilities beyond the human norm.)

-Superhuman Stamina (Ewigkeit users are stated to have stamina that defies physics.)

-Self-Sustenance (Type 1 and likely 2; Ewigkeit users do not need oxygen.)

-Aura (Ewigkeit users can affect other by just existing via the power of their soul with this being able to manifest in many different ways like the LDO making Ren feel nauseous, Mechina and Eleonore being able to melt things, Keivan Rusalka being able to attract followers while they can also make you feel an immense amount of discomfort, Rusalka and Willhelm’s laughter can make you go insane. Wilhelm’s aura can Cause physical pain, drain you of your body heat, can make you feel nauseous, intoxicated, and itchiness, paralyze you, drain your strength, drain your life force, and evaporate your blood. And Rein’s aura just does a bunch of stuff like paralyzes you, fill your mind with numbing fear, drive you insane, destroy your body, will, and soul, and the pressure of his existence crushes everything around him.)

-Longevity (By mastering the Ewigkeit you can live for hundreds of years.)

-Enhanced Senses (Those who have reached the Yetzirah degree of the Ewigkeit have all of their five senses increased examples such as Willhelm being able to see perfectly in the dark, Ren being able to sense Willhelm even though he couldn’t see him, and Lisa and Elenore being able to see each other despite being hundreds of meters away from each other.)

-Reality Warping, and Law Manipulation (The Bri’ah degree of the Ewigkeit forces a new law onto reality and can use it to change the world around them (Hegemony) or themselves (Transcendence).)

   Resistances

-Power Nullification Resistance (The Ahnenerbe of a Ewigkeit user cannot be negated by any ability.)

-Poison and Disease Resistance (Ewigkeit users dispose of all alcohol, smoke, drugs, and poison from their body.)

-Resistance to Soul Manipulation, and Absorption (Ewigkeit users can survive attacks from others Ahnenerbe which affect you on a spiritual level, and Wilhelm’s Bri’ah which absorbs the blood, essence, and soul of others.)

-Aura Resistance (Ewigkeit users can resist the effect of each other's presence.)

-Limited Resistance to Mind Manipulation, and Matter Manipulation (Ewigkeit users can somewhat resist the effect of Rein’s Longinuslanze which does have the power to kill and melt any being regardless of their resistance)

-Fire and Heat Resistance (Ewigkeit users can have fire resistance.)

-Poison Resistance (Ewigkeit users can resist Chain’s poison.)

-Electricity Resistance (Ewigkeit users can resist Beatrice’s Ahnenerbe.)

-Ice Resistance (as the name implies.)

   Weaknesses

The destruction of someone’s Ahnenerbe could kill its user.

There is a limit in how much an Ahnenerbe can absorb at once, and going past this limit can kill the user however they can continue to kill once they reach their limit they just can’t absorb their victims soul. And Ewigkeit user can slowly lose power the more they fight.

   Hadou and Gudou God Physiology

-The Ewigkeit (The Ewigkeit is no different then a Taikyoku.)

-Transduality, Non-existent physiology, and Acausality (5) (Gods are described as being Perfect, flawless, eternal, and unbreakable, a absolute existence beyond change and language, While also being described as being everlasting and unchanging, alive and dead, existing and not existing, beings that embody their own worlds, walking contradictions. Hegemony/Hadou Gods should be them same as the only difference between them is that one’s law expands outward while the others expand inward, and that the two are stated to be at the same level of existence. The world of a God is their Taikyoku, which is the origin of the world and all it’s concepts including duality.)

-Immortality, and True-Godly Regeneration (Gods have better regeneration then Frederica who is stated to have the best regeneration in all of shinza this would logically include the regeneration/revival abilities of things like Gladsheim’s blessing and Habaki’s Distortion both of which have survived Machina’s fist that erase it’s target on a conceptual level, they would also have better regeneration then Frederica’s base regeneration.)

-Abstract Existence, Beyond-Dimensional Physiology, Large Size (immeasurable), and Conceptual Manipulation (Gods are the embodiment of their law and base level laws govern all concepts including concepts like space.)

-Invulnerability (Gods cannot be affected by the attacks or abilities of beings weaker than themselves.)

-Plot Manipulation (Taikyoku users (Gods are Taikyoku users) can rewrite their own narrative ignoring the existing narrative to create their own, a example of this is Mercurius manipulated the event of dies irae to fit his script.)

-Resistance to Death Manipulation (Yakou who at the time had a colorless Taikyoku (a vastly weaker form of a Taikyoku) was able to survive Ootake’s world due to it with Ootake’s world embodying death.)

   Gudou Gods

-Law Manipulation (The law of a transcendent god turns inward making them a walking universe that is unaffected by the laws of the world.)

   Hadou Gods

-Reactive Evolution, Statistic Amplification, and Passive Evolution (The strength of a Hegemony God is based off of how much their law covers with their laws expanding until it covers all of creation, and when there are two Hegemony Gods in the world a battle will break out between them to see who’s laws/Taikyoku will paint over the world, this leads to the creation of a singularity in which the gods will continue to paint over each other becoming more powerful each time they do so.)

-Soul Manipulation, Absorption (Hegemony Gods are able to take in the souls that exist within the world to make themselves stronger, and if two Hegemony Gods fight whoever wins will consume the souls of the other.)

-Summoning (Gods can summon the physical manifestation of their law called a Kamunagara, but the damage done to a Kamunagara will reflect on the user and the death/destruction of it will deal heavy damage to its user.)

-Summoning, and Power Bestowal (Hegemony Gods can create a legion using consumed souls to fight with them bringing them to their level of power giving them pseudo godhood.)

-Information Manipulation (Hegemony Gods consume everything within the world and uses it to create a new one.)

-Void Manipulation (A Hegemony God can paint over the singularity which is an endless void that embodies the idea of human nothingness.)

-Avatar Creation (Hegemony Gods can create a lower version of themselves with this avatar only being a reflection of their true form.)

Additions to both: Fourth Wall Awareness: (Protagonist and narrate the stories of their series, and aware of the audience )

   ---

The final and ultimate level of the Die Ewigkeit formula, also known as the Emanation (流出, lit. Ryūshutsu) degree. It's when the user becomes a full-blown God and starts to paint over reality with their own Law, essentially making the universe/multiverse a canvas. Unlike with Briah, those who have reached Atziluth cannot turn it off, effectively becoming a literal god of the new world. Additionally, only another Atziluth god can defeat them, with the winner earning the right to decide the laws of the new world.

To put it simply it's when the users desire starts to emanate out to the rest of the World, extending to all of creation and painting it over with their reality, effectively becoming a literal god of the new world. This is limited to those of Hegemony (Hadou Gods), whose World and its Law affect others, since those of Transcendence (Gudou Gods) affect only themselves.

Transcendence Gods do not go into conflict with the existing world or other laws, even that of other Gods (Hegemony or Transcendence) due to existing on their own internally. If there are more than one Hegemony God, however, there will be a battle of contention between them as their Laws contradict one another, forcing them to fight until the victor paints over the opponent and all of creation.

All Gods All the abilities of an Apostle on an unimaginably higher scale (Atziluth, or Godhood, is considered the final degree of Ewigkeit, though most never use an Ahnenerbe or even Ewigkeit, as it is a "beginner's manual" to become a god) Enhanced Spiritual Aura (Overwhelming; The density of their soul is powerful enough to make a weaker Hadō God die, and destroy all of creation from their mere presence, which why the Throne is needed to contain it) Nonexistent Physiology (Type 3; Gudō Gods like Marie are shown to exist outside of the world's laws and concepts and do not obey them. They are described as existing within and embody a world that is described as unchanging and everlasting, existing and yet not existing, outside the boundaries of providence, they are walking contradictions, they represent a dichotomy, yet they don't as well. Hadō Gods possess a similar, yet different nature in which one's law turns outward instead of inward affecting all of creation instead of just their person, although they are stated to exist on the same level of existence) Conceptual Manipulation (Type 3; With Taiji, Gods become the origin from which all phenomenon and concepts come from, and there are infinite concepts) Regeneration (High Godly; Gods have greater regeneration and immortality than that of Federica, who has the greatest immortality of all past generation mortals, naturally including the restoration abilities of Gladsheim and Habaki's distortion, which can survive direct hits from Machina's fists) Non-Corporeal and Abstract Existence (A God embodies their own Law) Large Size (Type 11; A God embodies their own Law, which for Gudō Gods exists outside of the world's laws and concepts and outside the boundaries of providence, while for Hadō, they paint over the cosmos in their law possessing a similar, yet different nature to a Gudō, but they all still share the same level of existence) Immortality Negation and Regeneration Negation (Types 1, 3, and 5 and High Godly; As shown numerous times Gods can kill other gods, bypassing their regenerative capabilities and immortality, particularly if they possess a greater Taikyoku value than them) Beyond Dimensional Existence (A God with Taikyoku is the source of and beyond all concepts and phenomenon which includes dimensions, physics, space-time, etc; As a God with colored Taikyoku, they are incomprehensibly transcendent to those who do not reach the same level as them, akin to an artist drawing a picture upon a canvas. Even such things like the Singularity (which only as Gods are they capable of painting it, and the rest of creation, in their color), which is an infinite expanse of colorless Taikyoku, or hole in the canvas of creation, that exists as a tunnel to the Throne and comprises every layer of creation from the lowest floor being the multiverse, to the highest being right before the Throne itself. The Singularity is under the possession of the Supreme Law/Throne God and is both that infinite and endless, and one reaches the "bottom" of it, it merely opens another greater hole that is deeper than the last ad infinitum, and beyond it all exists the Throne, and Gods exist beyond even that as shown by the meaninglessness of its destruction and by it being affected by numerous' Gods' laws) Immortality (All gods are eternal, all gods can regenerate as shown when Ren created a moment frozen in time, Mercurius went from missing half his body to having his whole body restored and has the potential to emanate in Marie's law, Gudō Gods like Marie before her ascension to Hegemony have shown to exist outside of the world's laws and concepts, described as unchanging and everlasting, existing and yet not existing, outside the boundaries of providence. Hadō Gods possess a similar, yet different nature in which one's law turns outward instead of inward affecting all of creation instead of just their person, although they are stated to exist on the same level of existence) Resistance to Death Manipulation (Those who possess Taikyoku can survive in Ootake's world of death, only having their lifeforce drained despite it instantly killing those who would take a step inside) Nonduality (At least Type 2; Gudō Gods like Marie are shown to exist outside of the world's laws and concepts and do not obey them. They are described as both dead and alive, but yet also described as life beyond death, they exist within and embody a world that is described as unchanging and everlasting, existing and yet not existing, outside the boundaries of providence, they are walking contradictions, they represent a dichotomy, yet they don't as well. Hadō Gods possess a similar, yet different nature in which one's law turns outward instead of inward affecting all of creation instead of just their person, although they are stated to exist on the same level of existence) Acausality (Type 5; Gudō Gods like Marie have shown to exist outside of the world's laws and concepts, exists and embodies a world that is perpetually frozen in space and time, described as unchanging and everlasting, existing and yet not existing, outside the boundaries of providence. Hadō Gods possess a similar, yet different nature in which one's law turns outward instead of inward affecting all of creation instead of just their person, although they are stated to exist on the same level of existence) Resistance to Mind Manipulation (Gods can stay in the singularity unaffected. The singularity is a place reserved for the gods, and if a mortal were to be hypothetically dropped in, their minds wouldn't be able to handle its existence, and the phenomenon would be akin to dropping a single sugar cube into a giant body of water) Invulnerability (Gods are immutable beings, and are impossible to be affected or harmed by anything that isn't on a similar kind of existence) Creation (Alongside being the origin of all things, they're stated to be capable of creating concepts) Gudou God Abilities Law Manipulation and Reality Warping (The Law of a Gudō God is turned inward and the Gudō God becomes their own solitary world parallel and unaffected by the laws of the world, making them human-sized heavens) Hadō God Abilities Accelerated Development (A Hadō God's law continuously expand until they reach permanence, with the user becoming stronger depending on the size of the covered area) Information Manipulation (Hadō Gods paint over the infinite colorless information of the Singularity with their Law) Omniscience (As a Hadō God, they expand to consume all of Creation, and as a user of Taikyoku, they knows everything that has or will happen inside their own Law, as it is no different than being part of their being) Omnipresence (A Hadō God is the origin of and embodies their law, which emanates over all of creation, and paints the blank slate of the cosmos in their color) Size Manipulation (The law of a Hadō God endlessly expands so long as their alive, with the gods being the origin and embodiment of their laws) Law Manipulation, Space-Time Manipulation, and Reality Warping (A Hadō God that emanates will impose their own Law on the world and also passively warp existing laws; the flood of their Law will cause reality to warp and be shaped according to their desires, affecting all of the cosmos, including things like space and time) Summoning (Hadō Gods can summon the Physical Manifestation of their Law) Reactive Power Level (The battle of Hadō Gods is like a clashing of laws, in which both sides struggle to overtake one another, gaining more power in the process) Power Bestowal (A Hadō God can grant any soul under their Law pseudo Godhood status and protection through Legion Reincarnation) Avatar Creation (Hadō Gods can create avatars called a Sensory, as shown with Mercurius, whose true self lives at the center of the Throne, while his shade is referred to as only a "reflection of the moon on a lake's surface") Void Manipulation (Gods can paint over the singularity, which embodies a notion of nothingness as a blank slate without color) Absorption (Unlike Gudō Gods, who have to rely on their own soul, a Hadō can absorb the infinite souls existing in the world to strengthen themselves, with a fight between two Hadō being akin to a fight for each others' souls) Power Nullification (Hegemonies can neutralize each other)

    1. 🌍 Series Overview & Core Philosophy

The Shinza Bansho (神座万象) series, also known as the Masadaverse, is a collection of dark fantasy, philosophical visual novels written by Takashi Masada and illustrated by G Yuusuke. It is renowned for its:

    • Cosmic Scale: Battles that determine the fate of universes, with power levels escalating to conceptual and transcendent heights 【turn0search31】【turn0search35】.
    • Cyclical Creation: A central "Throne" system where the strongest being becomes a god, imposing their personal "Law" (理) upon all of creation, thereby rewriting reality itself 【turn0search1】【turn0search3】【turn0search7】.
    • Interconnected Lore: Each work explores a different era ruled by a different god, but all are part of the same grand cycle, with themes, concepts, and even characters recurring across time 【turn0search21】【turn0search35】.
    • Philosophical Depth: Stories grapple with themes of desire, identity, duality, and the nature of divinity and humanity.

The series primarily consists of the following works, in chronological order of their in-universe eras (though release order differs):

    | In-Universe Era | Work Title | Release Year | Status | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Pre-Throne (0th) | Event Horizon Battlefront Aditya (事象地平戦線アーディティヤ) | 2022 (Ongoing) | Latest Entry | | 1st Throne | Avesta of Black and White (黒白のアヴェスター) | 2019 (Novel) | Prequel to Paradise Lost | | 2nd Throne | Paradise Lost (PARADISE LOST) | 2004 | First VN in series | | 4th Throne | Dies Irae (ディエス・イレ) | 2007 | Most Famous Entry | | 6th Throne | Kajiri Kamui Kagura (神咒神威神楽) | 2011 | Primary Focus of This Lorebook | | Crossover | Dies Irae Pantheon (ディエス・イレ・パンテオン) | 2017 (Game) | "Super God War" |

    2. ⚖️ The Throne System & Cosmology

This is the foundational mechanic of the entire series.

🪑 The Throne (神座 - Shinza)

    • Definition: The Throne is the supra-dimensional apex and source of all existence. It is the "root of all things" and the "origin of all phenomena and concepts" 【turn0search31】. It is not a physical place but a metaphysical absolute.
    • Function: When a being reaches the pinnacle of power and desire, they can ascend to the Throne. Their personal "Law" (理) then becomes the absolute, universal law that governs all of creation. They effectively become the universe itself 【turn0search1】【turn0search7】.
    • Gods: Those who sit on the Throne are called Gods (神). They are classified as:
      • Hegemony Gods (霸道神): Those who actively impose their Law, creating a new era. There can only be one Hegemony God at a time 【turn0search1】.
      • Seeker Gods (求道神): Those who reach the Throne but do not impose a Law, often existing outside the cycle 【turn0search1】.
    • Succession: When a new God ascends, they must battle and defeat the current God. The victor's Law replaces the old one, causing a cosmic reset. The universe is "painted" with the new God's unique "color" (their Law) 【turn0search35】.

    🌌 Cosmological Structure

The universe under a God's Law is not a simple place. Key features include:

    • Multiverse: The 4th God, Mercurius, expanded his rule to a multiverse of infinite possibilities and space-times 【turn0search35】. Later eras inherit this complexity.
    • Hyperdimensional Space: The space surrounding the Throne is described as "Hyperdimensional" (beyond-dimensional), existing on a plane far beyond conventional physics 【turn0search31】.
    • Layers of Existence: The universe is structured in layers, with the Throne at the very top. Beings and concepts exist on different "densities" or "layers" of reality 【turn0search7】【turn0search43】.
    • Taikyoku (太極): The state of being a God. It is the ultimate power source, representing the "origin of all phenomena" and is the source of all laws and concepts. It is often equated with Atziluth (in Dies Irae) or Ahura Mazda (in Avesta) 【turn0search31】【turn0search35】. Achieving Taikyoku makes one superior to all infinite laws and dimensions below the Throne.

    4. ⚔️ Kajiri Kamui Kagura: Deep Dive

神咒神威神楽 (Kajiri Kamui Kagura) is the sixth main entry in the series, released in 2011. It is a direct sequel to the Marie Route of Dies Irae and is set during the reign of the Sixth Heaven, Hajun 【turn0search11】【turn0search25】.

    🎭 Setting & Premise

    • World: A mythological, feudal Japan called Ashihara no Nakatsukuni (葦原の中つ国), which is being corrupted by the Law of the Sixth Heaven, Hajun. The eastern lands are overrun by demons and gods 【turn0search11】【turn0search25】.
    • Crisis: Three hundred years after a failed imperial expedition to subjugate the east, a new crusade is launched. The empire is crumbling from within due to the corrupting influence of Hajun's Law, which drives all beings to kill each other in an endless "law of the jungle" 【turn0search11】【turn0search19】.
    • Protagonist: Habaki Sakagami (坂上覇吐), a laid-back but loyal samurai from a disgraced clan, who joins the Eastern Expedition as the personal retainer to its commander, Rindou Suzuka 【turn0search19】.

    🧩 Core Narrative Structure

The story is divided into four main routes, each focusing on a different couple and perspective, all contributing to the overarching plot to defy Hajun's Law and protect the world 【turn0search11】:

    1. Birth of the Divine World (神世創生篇): Habaki's route. Focuses on his growth and the battle against the Yatsukahagi.
    2. Paradise of Bloodstained Flowers (楽土血染花篇): Focuses on Sakuya Kyougetsu and her brother-in-law.
    3. Golden Sea of Trees (黄金樹海篇): Focuses on Madara Yakou and his internal struggles.
    4. Seventh Heaven (第七天篇): The true route and conclusion, revealing the full truth behind Hajun and the nature of the Tumor.

👹 The Primary Threat: Hajun & The Tumor

    • Hajun (波旬): The Sixth Heaven God. His Law, Great Desire Realm Tengu Dou (大欲界天狗道), is a law of absolute annihilation and solitude. It compels all beings to kill each other until only one exists. He is described as the strongest and most evil god in history, a being of pure, reflexive destruction without thought or conviction 【turn0search37】. He sits atop the Throne but is largely inactive, leaving the world to its own destructive devices.
    • The Tumor (畸形嚢腫): A mysterious, parasitic entity deeply linked to the story's true nature. It is the stillborn twin brother of Mara (the future Hajun) who latched onto his soul for survival 【turn0search15】. It fears Hajun and created Habaki Sakagami (its "Sensory") and Rindou Suzuka (its "Apoptosis") as means to protect itself and potentially counter Hajun 【turn0search15】【turn0search19】. Its desires ("I don't want to die," "I want to live") are the source of Habaki's unique power 【turn0search19】.

    6. 📖 Terminology & Concepts

    | Term | Japanese | Definition & Context | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Throne | 神座 (Shinza) | The supreme, metaphysical seat of power. 🔵 FACTION I: THE EASTERN EXPEDITION

    ══════════════════════════════════════

The Eastern Expedition (東征軍, Touseigun) is the imperial military force dispatched from the human realm of Shinshuu (信州) to subjugate the demon-infested eastern lands. Three hundred years prior, a catastrophic first expedition ended in near-total annihilation. The current expedition is launched as the world deteriorates under the corrupting influence of the Sixth Heaven's Law. The expedition is nominally under the command of the Mikado clan, but true operational leadership falls to Rindou Koga. Its members are warriors, onmyouji, and strategists—some noble, some broken—all bound together by duty, desire, and the desperate need to survive in an era that demands mutual slaughter.

    ---

    📝 Background

Habaki is a scion of the Sakagami branch of the Koga clan, one of the oldest samurai lineages in Shinshuu. Three hundred years ago, during the First Eastern Expedition, the Sakagami branch was persecuted and exiled due to exceptionally high levels of Yin (陰) pollution—a corrupting spiritual energy emanating from the eastern lands. Though his house now lies in ruins, Habaki retains vestiges of noble birth and a certain social standing in his rural hometown.

He receives a summons from the Mikado clan to travel to the capital of Hotsuma and undergo a Yin Qi test. There, he has a fateful encounter with Souichirou Mibu, Ryuusui Mikado, and Keishirou Kyougetsu. As part of an agreement with Ryuumei Mikado, Habaki witnesses Rindou Suzuka's determination during the Kagura Tournament (神楽試合). So deeply impressed by her resolve that he is moved to tears, he pledges himself as her foremost vassal. After winning the tournament as the Koga representative, he formally joins the Eastern Expedition as leader of the Masurao—an elite combat unit.

His true origin, however, is far more cosmic. Habaki is not merely a samurai—he is the Sensory (感知体) of the Tumor, a parasitic entity that latched onto the soul of Mara (the being who would become Hajun, the Sixth Heaven God) over 8,000 years prior. The Tumor, terrified of Hajun's annihilation, created Habaki as its eyes, ears, and hands in the world. Habaki's very existence is a cosmic failsafe—a countermeasure against the Sixth Heaven woven into human flesh.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Habaki is a walking contradiction, and he is fully aware of it.

On the surface, he is a narcissistic pervert of the highest order—a trait common to all beings born under Hajun's Law, which compels self-obsession. He is loudly theatrical, prone to grand declarations, and constantly makes inappropriate advances or comments that earn him swift physical reprimand from Rindou. He behaves like a fool, speaks like a stage actor, and carries himself with an exaggerated swagger that masks nothing because he genuinely is that ridiculous.

Beneath this, however, lies a genuinely heroic spirit—something exceedingly rare under the Sixth Heaven. Unlike other narcissists of the era, Habaki possesses an innate desire to connect with others, to protect his comrades, and to live joyfully among them. He is friendly with everyone in the expedition, the most approachable and amiable member of an otherwise grim assembly. He tries, however clumsily, to be courteous and formal. When his perverted antics cross the line and cause problems for others, he reprimands himself—like a leader who knows he is flawed but refuses to stop trying.

He is perceptive in ways his foolish exterior conceals. He notices anomalies in Edo's atmosphere, detects irregularities within Madara's mental world, and devises crafty, unorthodox tactics in battle (such as throwing sand into an enemy's eyes to gain advantage). He has no pride about fighting fair—if a dirty trick wins the day and keeps his people alive, he will use it without hesitation.

At his core, Habaki is a man who lives as he wishes and with joy. He proclaims his pride and courage even in the face of death, which earns him the genuine respect of both allies and enemies. He is a pragmatic hero—someone who wants to do the right thing even if his reasons are selfish, someone who will integrate with his allies and live happily with them because that is what he genuinely desires. In an era defined by solitude and slaughter, Habaki's simple wish—to be surrounded by people he loves and who love him back—is itself the most radical act of defiance imaginable.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Habaki is a tall, athletic man with the build of a seasoned warrior. He has dark hair, often depicted as somewhat unkempt, and sharp, expressive eyes that shift between foolish merriment and surprising intensity depending on the situation. He wears the standard attire of the Eastern Expedition—a militarized adaptation of traditional Japanese clothing with armor elements—but carries himself with a casualness that undermines any sense of discipline. His expressions are animated and exaggerated, befitting his theatrical personality. In combat, his demeanor shifts entirely: the foolish grin vanishes, replaced by a focused, almost serene resolve that contrasts sharply with his usual self.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

    Distortion: Misogiharae — Yomotsugaeri (禍津祓・黄泉返り)

Habaki's Distortion is fundamentally different from those of other beings. While most Distortions in the era of the Sixth Heaven are born from Yin pollution and the corrupting influence of Hajun's Law, Habaki's originates from the Tumor's dual desires: "I don't want to die" and "I want to live."

Effect: When Habaki is killed—by any means, whether physical destruction, conceptual erasure, or Distortion-based annihilation—his Distortion activates. It absorbs the very attack, ability, or Distortion that killed him and uses it as fuel to resurrect himself. Each death makes him stronger, as he permanently integrates the power that destroyed him into his being. This is not mere regeneration; it is a conceptual reversal of death itself, rooted in the Tumor's desperate, primal will to survive.

This ability makes Habaki theoretically unkillable through conventional means. No matter how many times he is destroyed, he will return, wearing his killer's power as his own. It is an ability that embodies the Tumor's essence: cowardly, desperate, and utterly refusal to cease existing.

Taikyoku/Hadou Law: Amaterashimasu Sume Omikami (天照坐皇太神)

Achieved in the Seventh Heaven route, in conjunction with Rindou Suzuka.

This is the combined Hadou-type Taikyoku of Habaki and Rindou, functioning in the mythological framework of Izanagi and Izanami—the primordial divine couple who birthed the Japanese islands. Their combined Law declares:

"I will not give birth to (vengeful) outsiders."

This Law creates a world of coexistence and unification (共存統一). It does not erase difference or conflict, but provides a framework where all souls are given the means to reach a bright future within a shared reality. It is a Law of inclusion—the antithesis of Hajun's Law of exclusion and annihilation. Notably, it combines all of the previous Thrones' Laws (excluding Hajun's, which was extinguished by Habaki), integrating the wisdom and power of every era that came before into a single, harmonious cosmos.

    Shokou Mandala — Yaoyorozu (曙光曼荼羅・八百万)

The manifestation of the Sword of Dawn (暁の刀), which releases a light representing the very concept of life itself. This is the complete opposite of the Tengu Dou mandala used by Hajun and the Yatsukahagi. Where Tengu Dou brings annihilation, Yaoyorozu brings illumination and creation—healing all creation it touches.

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Rindou Suzuka | His liege, commander, and ultimately his divine partner. He is devoted to her with a sincerity that transcends his usual perversion. Their bond is the emotional core of the story and the foundation of the Seventh Heaven's Law. | | The Tumor | His unknowing creator and true "master." The Tumor cut its mental link with Habaki to avoid attracting Hajun's attention, leaving Habaki unaware of his true nature for most of the story. | | Ryuumei Mikado | The one who orchestrated his entry into the expedition. Habaki owes her a debt for the opportunity. | | Madara Yakou | A comrade who initially tests him but becomes a trusted ally. Habaki's straightforward nature contrasts with Yakou's complexity. | | Shiori Kujou | A fellow Masurao member and sparring partner. Their relationship is competitive but respectful. | | Souichirou Mibu | One of the first people he met upon arriving in Hotsuma. They share a certain straightforwardness. | | Yomi | His adoptive daughter (revealed in Dies Irae Pantheon). Despite being her father figure, this does not stop his perverted behavior, much to her exasperation. | | Hirume | His biological daughter (revealed in Dies Irae Pantheon). | | Tenma Yato | His ultimate enemy and, in a sense, his mirror. Both are Sensory-type beings carrying the legacy of their eras, but their desires are fundamentally opposed. |

    ---

    2. 古賀竜胆 — RINDOU KOGA (RINDOU SUZUKA)

「This world is worth protecting. I will prove it.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Main Heroine; Commander-in-Chief of the Eastern Expedition | | True Nature | Apoptosis (アポトーシス) of the Tumor | | Mythological Parallel | Izanami (伊邪那美命) — paired with Habaki's Izanagi | | Faction | Eastern Expedition — Supreme Commander |

    ---

    📝 Background

Rindou is the head of the Koga clan (古賀家), the preeminent samurai house of Shinshuu and the organizers of the Eastern Expedition. She carries the weight of three centuries of failure—her clan led the First Eastern Expedition that was annihilated, and the shame of that disaster has defined the Koga clan ever since. She is not merely a military commander; she is a symbol of her clan's redemption and the human realm's last, best hope against the eastern threat.

Her true nature is far more significant: she is the Apoptosis of the Tumor—the counterpart to Habaki's Sensory. Where the Sensory perceives and acts, the Apoptosis eliminates threats and corrects errors. She was created by the Tumor as a defense mechanism against Hajun, though like Habaki, she is unaware of this for most of the story. Her existence is proof that the Tumor did not merely hide—it actively prepared a means to fight back.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Rindou is the emotional and moral anchor of the Eastern Expedition. She is charismatic, determined, and possesses an iron will that commands absolute respect from her subordinates. She leads not through fear or manipulation, but through genuine inspiration—people follow her because they believe in her, not because they are compelled to.

She is serious and disciplined, a stark contrast to Habaki's foolishness, and she frequently scolds him for his perverted antics—often with physical force. Yet beneath her stern exterior is a deep compassion and a genuine concern for the well-being of every person under her command. She does not treat her soldiers as expendable tools; she carries each of their deaths as a personal failure.

Her defining trait is her unwavering conviction that the world is worth protecting and saving, even under a Law that demands its destruction. In an era where nihilism is the default, Rindou's hope is not naive optimism but a deliberate, hard-won choice—she has seen the worst the world has to offer and chosen to believe in it anyway. This makes her, in many ways, the most spiritually powerful member of the expedition, as her willpower is the foundation upon which the Seventh Heaven's Law is ultimately built.

She is also, quietly, deeply lonely. The burden of command isolates her, and she struggles to express vulnerability. Her relationship with Habaki—frustrating as it often is—provides her with something she desperately needs: someone who sees her not as a commander or a symbol, but as a person.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Rindou is a striking woman with a commanding presence. She has long, dark hair that she typically wears in a practical style befitting a warrior-commander, and sharp, determined eyes that convey authority and intelligence. Her attire combines traditional Japanese noble clothing with military armor—a reflection of her dual role as clan head and expedition commander. She carries herself with impeccable posture and a dignified grace that demands attention in any room. In battle, her expression hardens into something almost transcendent—a woman who has fused her identity with her purpose so completely that there is no separation between Rindou the person and Rindou the commander.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

    Distortion

Rindou possesses a powerful Distortion, though its specific name and mechanics are less extensively documented in available English sources than Habaki's. What is clear is that her Distortion is an expression of her indomitable will and her desire to protect. It manifests as a combat-oriented ability that enhances her already formidable martial prowess to superhuman levels.

Combined Hadou Law: Amaterashimasu Sume Omikami (天照坐皇太神)

See Habaki's entry for full details.

Rindou is the Izanami to Habaki's Izanagi in this combined Law. While Habaki provides the raw, stubborn vitality (the "I want to live" aspect), Rindou provides the nurturing, unifying framework (the "I will protect this world" aspect). Without her, Habaki's power is directionless survival; without him, her power is noble but insufficient against a God. Together, they create something that transcends both—a Law that does not merely resist annihilation but actively builds a future.

    Shokou Mandala — Yaoyorozu (曙光曼荼羅・八百万)

As Habaki's partner, she shares in the manifestation of the Sword of Dawn—the light of life that counters the Tengu Dou.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Habaki Sakagami | Her foremost vassal and eventual divine partner. She is endlessly exasperated by his perversion but deeply values his loyalty, perceptiveness, and the genuine joy he brings to the expedition. Their bond is the story's most important relationship. | | The Tumor | Her unknowing creator. As the Apoptosis, her true purpose is to eliminate threats to the Tumor's existence—primarily Hajun. | | Ryuumei Mikado | A political ally and possibly the one who helped facilitate the expedition. Their relationship is professional but tinged with mutual respect. | | Madara Yakou | A complex relationship. As a former Yatsukahagi, his presence is initially suspicious, but she comes to trust his strength and insight. | | Shiori Kujou | A loyal subordinate and one of her most reliable warriors. |

    ---

    3. 壬生宗一郎 — SOUICHIROU MIBU

    「……」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Supporting character; elite warrior of the Eastern Expedition | | Faction | Eastern Expedition — Masurao unit | | Archetype | The silent swordsman; man of few words and absolute resolve |

    ---

    📝 Background

Souichirou is one of the elite warriors selected for the Eastern Expedition's Masurao unit. He is among the first people Habaki encounters upon arriving in Hotsuma for the Yin Qi test. He is a swordsman of extraordinary skill, hailing from a lineage of warriors. His past is not extensively detailed in available English sources, but his demeanor and ability suggest a lifetime of disciplined training and possibly a history marked by loss—common for warriors of this era.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Souichirou is defined by his silence. He is a man of extremely few words, communicating primarily through action and the rare, terse statement. This is not coldness but a deep economy of expression—every word he speaks carries weight because he does not waste them. He is stoic, disciplined, and possessed of a quiet intensity that makes his rare moments of emotion all the more impactful.

He is fundamentally straightforward and honest—what you see is what you get. He does not scheme, manipulate, or hide behind masks. In an era of narcissists and liars, his simplicity is itself a form of strength. He respects strength and determination in others, and he extends this respect freely to those who earn it—including Habaki, whose foolishness he tolerates with remarkable patience.

Beneath his stoic exterior is a deeply loyal man who will follow those he believes in to the death without hesitation. He is not driven by grand ambitions or complex philosophies; he is driven by a simple, unwavering commitment to his path and his comrades.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Souichirou is a lean, sharp-featured man who radiates quiet danger. He has dark hair, typically worn in a practical style, and narrow, focused eyes that give the impression of a predator at rest—calm but utterly capable of violence at a moment's notice. He wears the expedition's military attire with a spare, functional elegance that reflects his no-nonsense personality. His most distinctive feature is his sword, which he carries with the ease of someone who has spent more time with a blade in hand than without.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

Souichirou is a master swordsman whose skill transcends normal human limits. While he does not possess a named Distortion at the level of Habaki or the Yatsukahagi, his martial prowess is exceptional even by the standards of the expedition. His combat style is likely rooted in a traditional school of kenjutsu, refined to supernatural perfection through sheer dedication and willpower. In the power hierarchy of the series, he sits below the Taikyoku-level beings but is among the strongest non-Distortion users.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Habaki Sakagami | One of Habaki's first contacts in Hotsuma. He regards Habaki with a mixture of bemusement and quiet respect, tolerating his antics with stoic patience. | | Rindou Koga | His commanding officer. He is fiercely loyal to her and follows her orders without question. | | Ryuusui Mikado | A fellow warrior he encountered during the Hotsuma test. Their relationship is one of mutual professional respect. |

    ---

    4. 九条紫織 — SHIORI KUJOU

「I won't lose. Not to you, not to anyone.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Supporting character; heroine of a sub-route; elite warrior | | Faction | Eastern Expedition — Masurao unit | | Archetype | The competitive tomboy; warrior who fights for pride and connection |

    ---

    📝 Background

Shiori is a young woman from the Kujou clan, a family of warriors with a proud martial tradition. She was selected for the Eastern Expedition's elite Masurao unit on the basis of her exceptional combat ability and fighting spirit. She is one of the expedition's most reliable front-line fighters and serves as a direct combat counterpart to Habaki within the unit.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Shiori is competitive, energetic, and fiercely proud. She has a tomboyish demeanor and a quick temper, especially when provoked or when someone (usually Habaki) behaves inappropriately. She is the type of person who meets every challenge head-on and refuses to back down from a fight, regardless of the odds.

Beneath her abrasive exterior, however, Shiori is genuinely caring and deeply values her relationships with her comrades. Her competitiveness is not born from arrogance but from a desire to be strong enough to protect the people she cares about. She fights not for glory but for the sake of not being helpless—a fear that likely stems from the ever-present threat of the eastern lands and the era's Law of mutual slaughter.

She has a particularly volatile relationship with Habaki, whom she frequently punches, kicks, or yells at for his perverted behavior. Yet despite this, there is a genuine bond between them—she trusts him in battle implicitly, and he respects her strength without qualification.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Shiori is a young woman with an athletic, compact build that reflects her close-combat fighting style. She has dark hair, often worn in a practical style (sometimes with ties or accessories that suggest her noble lineage), and sharp, determined eyes that flash with competitive fire. Her expedition attire emphasizes mobility and practicality over ornamentation. She typically carries a weapon suited to her close-quarters combat style. Her expressions are animated and readable—she wears her emotions on her face, whether it's irritation, determination, or rare moments of genuine warmth.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

Shiori possesses a powerful Distortion that enhances her combat capabilities to superhuman levels. While the specific name of her Distortion is less documented in English sources, it is combat-oriented and reflects her competitive, never-yielding nature. She is a front-line fighter who excels in direct confrontation, using a combination of enhanced physical abilities and martial skill to overwhelm opponents.

In the series' power hierarchy, Shiori is below Taikyoku-level beings but is among the strongest non-God characters. She is roughly on par with Souichirou Mibu in terms of overall combat effectiveness, though their fighting styles differ significantly.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Habaki Sakagami | A comrade she constantly bickers with and physically reprimands. Despite the surface hostility, there is genuine trust and camaraderie. | | Rindou Koga | Her commanding officer, whom she respects deeply. | | Souichirou Mibu | A fellow warrior and likely sparring partner. Their relationship is professional and respectful. |

    ---

    5. 凶月圭四郎 — KEISHIROU KYOUGETSU

「I will protect her. That is all that matters.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Supporting character; key figure in the Paradise of Bloodstained Flowers route | | Faction | Eastern Expedition | | Archetype | The overprotective guardian; cold exterior hiding desperate love |

    ---

    📝 Background

Keishirou is a member of the Kyougetsu clan and the brother-in-law of Sakuya Kyougetsu (he is married to Sakuya's older sister, or occupies an equivalent familial role). He is a skilled warrior and strategist who joins the Eastern Expedition, though his true motivations are deeply personal: he is driven by the need to protect Sakuya, whose uncontrollable Distortion makes her a danger to herself and everyone around her.

The Kyougetsu clan is notable for producing individuals with exceptionally powerful—and exceptionally dangerous—Distortions. Sakuya's "Walking Bomb" is the most extreme example, and Keishirou has devoted his life to ensuring that her power remains sealed and that she can live as normal a life as possible under the circumstances.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Keishirou is cold, stern, and emotionally guarded. He presents a facade of icy composure that makes him appear unapproachable or even cruel. He speaks bluntly, rarely smiles, and seems to view most interpersonal interactions as unnecessary obstacles to his primary mission: protecting Sakuya.

This coldness, however, is a defense mechanism. Beneath it lies a man consumed by desperate, overwhelming love for his sister-in-law—a love that is not romantic but is no less intense for being familial. He is terrified of losing her, terrified of her power, and terrified that he will fail in his duty to keep her safe. Every cold word and every harsh decision is motivated by this fear.

He is a man who has sacrificed his own identity on the altar of protection. He does not have hobbies, ambitions, or desires outside of Sakuya's well-being. This makes him both admirable and tragic—a person so defined by his role as a guardian that he has forgotten how to be anything else.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Keishirou is a tall, sharp-featured man with an austere, forbidding presence. He has dark hair, typically worn in a severe, precise style, and narrow, intense eyes that seem to catalog everything they see as a potential threat. His attire is practical and understated, emphasizing function over form. He carries himself with a rigid, military discipline that reinforces the impression of a man who has no room in his life for relaxation or frivolity. His most striking feature is the sheer intensity of his gaze when Sakuya is involved—every trace of coldness vanishes, replaced by something raw and almost frightening in its devotion.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

Keishirou is a highly skilled warrior and strategist, though his specific Distortion (if he possesses one) is less documented than those of other characters. His primary "ability" in a narrative sense is his strategic mind and his unwavering resolve. He is the type of character who compensates for a lack of overwhelming raw power with intelligence, preparation, and the willingness to do whatever is necessary to achieve his goals.

He is also deeply knowledgeable about the Kyougetsu clan's Distortions and the sealing techniques used to contain Sakuya's power. This knowledge makes him invaluable to the expedition, as understanding and countering Distortions is critical to survival in the eastern lands.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Sakuya Kyougetsu | His sister-in-law and the absolute center of his existence. He protects her with a devotion that borders on obsession, though it is born from genuine, selfless love. | | Habaki Sakagami | A complex relationship. Keishirou is initially suspicious of Habaki (with good reason, given Habaki's perverted nature), but may come to respect his genuine character. | | Rindou Koga | His commanding officer. He follows her orders professionally, though his loyalty to Sakuya always takes precedence. |

    ---

    6. 凶月咲耶 — SAKUYA KYOUGETSU

    「…Please, take care.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Main heroine of the Paradise of Bloodstained Flowers (楽土血染花篇) route | | Faction | Eastern Expedition (accompanying Keishirou) | | Reincarnation | Helga Ehrenburg from Dies Irae | | Archetype | The sealed maiden; devastating power trapped in fragile form |

    ---

    📝 Background

Sakuya is the younger sister of Keishirou Kyougetsu's wife (or equivalent familial figure) and a member of the Kyougetsu clan. She was raised in an environment stripped of freedom—kept under strict rules and constant surveillance due to the extreme danger posed by her Distortion. She has lived a sheltered, pampered life that has left her physically frail and profoundly ignorant of the world outside her cage.

She accompanies the Eastern Expedition not as a combatant but under Keishirou's guardianship, as the expedition's path takes them through regions where her presence becomes narratively and strategically significant.

On a cosmic level, Sakuya is the reincarnation of Helga Ehrenburg, a character from Dies Irae. This connection is thematic rather than directly plot-relevant in Kajiri Kamui Kagura, but it places her within the grand cycle of reincarnation that defines the series.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Sakuya is gentle, polite, and painfully naive. Her enforced isolation has left her with a childlike understanding of the world—she does not understand social norms, cannot read people's intentions well, and approaches every situation with a trusting innocence that is both endearing and alarming given the era she lives in.

She is, notably, a surprisingly decent person by the standards of the Sixth Heaven. Hajun's Law affects her less severely than others, leaving her partially free from the curse of the Srgala (the era's compulsive narcissism and mutual hatred). She does not hate others, does not feel the urge to kill, and cannot understand why everyone around her is driven to violence. This makes her an anomaly—a person who is naturally kind in a world where kindness is a liability.

She affixes "-sama" (様) to everyone's name, regardless of closeness, a verbal tic that reflects both her strict upbringing and her inherent politeness. She does not hate Niko or Teirei (fellow expedition members or associated characters), but finds she simply cannot get along with them, though she does not understand why—a possible echo of her past life's relationships.

Beneath her gentle exterior, there is a deep sadness and a quiet strength. She knows she is a burden, knows her power is terrifying, and wishes more than anything to be normal. Her greatest fear is not death but hurting the people she cares about—a fear that is entirely justified given the nature of her Distortion.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Sakuya is a physically fragile, delicate girl with the soft, unweathered features of someone who has never known hardship or exertion. She has light-colored hair (often depicted in shades of silver or pale blue-green, echoing Helga Ehrenburg's color scheme) and gentle, expressive eyes that convey a wide range of emotions—curiosity, sadness, worry, and rare, precious happiness. Her attire is elegant and refined, befitting her noble upbringing, with multiple layers and ornate details. Visible on her person are the seals and bindings (Kinbaku / 緊縛) that restrain her Distortion—these take the form of intricate ropes, talismans, and cursed chains that cover parts of her body, a constant visual reminder of the danger she represents.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

Distortion: Walking Bomb (歩く爆弾, Aruku Bakudan)

Sakuya possesses what is described as the greatest Distortion of the Kyougetsu clan—and it is utterly, catastrophically uncontrollable. Her Distortion transforms her into a living weapon of mass destruction capable of causing untold devastation without the slightest intention or awareness. The power is so unstable and so immense that it cannot be directed, aimed, or suppressed through willpower alone.

Because of this, Sakuya's Distortion is sealed beneath multiple layers of curses and bindings collectively referred to as Kinbaku (緊縛, "Bondage"). These seals are the product of the Kyougetsu clan's accumulated knowledge and power, and they represent the absolute limit of what can be done to contain such an ability. Even with the seals, there is always a risk of leakage or accidental activation.

    Parameters: | Level | Muscle | Fitness | Willpower | Curse | Running | Distortion | |:---|:---|:---|:---|:---|:---|:---| | First | 1 | 1 | 5 | 8 | 1 | 10 | | Chuden | 1 | 1 | 8 | 8 | 1 | 20 | | Okuden | 1 | 1 | 10 | 8 | 1 | 0 (fully sealed/uncontrollable) |

The parameters tell the story: she has no physical strength, no fitness, and no speed. Her Curse parameter is exceptionally high (reflecting the sealing magic), and her Distortion parameter is maxed out at First level and doubles at Chuden—before dropping to zero at Okuden, implying that at her highest level of cultivation, the Distortion is either completely suppressed or completely beyond measurement.

Sakuya is theoretically capable of overpowering her seals if she truly desires to, but doing so would unleash destruction on a scale that defies comprehension.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Keishirou Kyougetsu | Her guardian and the person she respects most in the world. She is wholly dependent on him for protection and guidance. | | Habaki Sakagami | She treats him with the same polite "-sama" formality as everyone else. His warm, open nature may be one of the few things that draws her out of her shell. | | Helga Ehrenburg | Her past life from Dies Irae. The connection is thematic—both are gentle souls trapped in systems of violence. |

    ---

    7. 斑鳩夜行 — YAKOU MADARA

「I will find my own path—even if it leads through hell.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Main character of the Golden Sea of Trees (黄金樹海篇) route | | Faction | Eastern Expedition (defected from Yatsukahagi) | | Archetype | The tortured genius; traitor seeking redemption through self-discovery | | Battle Parameters (Okuden/Taikyoku) | Among the strongest non-God characters; capable of dimensional manipulation |

    ---

    📝 Background

Madara Yakou is a genius onmyouji (陰陽師)—a practitioner of the traditional Japanese occult arts of divination, spirit manipulation, and cosmic magic. His past is the most complex of any expedition member: he was originally a member of the Yatsukahagi, the eight powerful beings who enforce Hajun's Law. His reasons for defecting to the Eastern Expedition are deeply personal and form the core of his route.

As a former Yatsukahagi, Madara possesses knowledge and power that make him both an invaluable asset and a source of deep suspicion within the expedition. He understands the enemy's tactics, the nature of Distortions, and the cosmic mechanics of the Sixth Heaven in ways that no other expedition member can match. His defection is not motivated by altruism but by a crisis of identity—he has realized that the path of the Yatsukahagi leads only to meaninglessness, and he is desperate to find a reason for his own existence.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Madara is intellectual, introspective, and deeply conflicted. He is the most philosophically oriented member of the expedition—a man who thinks constantly about the nature of power, identity, and purpose. His time among the Yatsukahagi exposed him to the ultimate nihilism of Hajun's Law, and it has left him scarred in ways that go beyond the physical.

He is quiet and reserved, speaking only when he has something meaningful to say. He observes more than he participates, analyzes more than he acts. This can make him seem cold or detached, but in truth, he is overwhelmed by feeling—he simply does not know how to express it in a world that has taught him that feelings are weaknesses to be exploited.

His internal struggle is the defining feature of his character: he is torn between the nihilism of his past and the hope represented by the expedition. He wants to believe that his life can have meaning beyond destruction, but every instinct trained into him by the Yatsukahagi tells him otherwise. His route is ultimately about whether he can forge a new identity that is neither Yatsukahagi nor expedition member, but something entirely his own.

He is also, surprisingly, possessed of a dry wit and a sardonic sense of humor that emerges in his interactions with Habaki—whom he regards as both an idiot and, grudgingly, a kindred spirit in the pursuit of self-determination.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Madara is a man of lean, almost ethereal build—more scholar than warrior in appearance, though this is deceptive. He has dark hair, often depicted as somewhat long and unkempt, and sharp, analytical eyes that seem to see through everything they look at. His attire reflects his onmyouji background—traditional Japanese robes with occult symbols and implements, adapted for the expedition's military context. He carries onmyoudu talismans, spirit-calling bells, and other tools of his trade. His most distinctive visual feature is the contrast between his calm, composed expression and the turbulent emotions visible in his eyes—a man at war with himself.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

    Onmyoudou (陰陽道)

Madara is a master onmyouji whose understanding of spiritual mechanics rivals or exceeds that of any living practitioner. His onmyoudou encompasses:

    • Spirit Manipulation: Summoning, commanding, and banishing spiritual entities.
    • Divination: Reading the flow of spiritual energy to predict events and detect anomalies.
    • Barrier Construction: Creating spiritual barriers for defense or containment.
    • Curse Theory: Understanding and deconstructing the curse-based Distortions of others.

    Distortion: Dimensional Manipulation

Madara's Distortion grants him the ability to manipulate dimensions and space itself. This is not simple teleportation but a fundamental warping of the spatial fabric. In his battle with Tenma Ootake, Madara demonstrated the ability to dislocate existing dimensions, reaching up to 24-dimensional space in combat—a feat that places his dimensional manipulation among the most powerful in the series 【turn0search31】.

This ability makes him exceptionally dangerous even against physically superior opponents, as he can reshape the battlefield itself, trapping enemies in warped spaces, cutting through dimensions to bypass defenses, or collapsing spatial layers to crush targets.

    Knowledge of the Sixth Heaven

As a former Yatsukahagi, Madara possesses intimate knowledge of Hajun's Law, the Tengu Dou mandala, and the Yatsukahagi's abilities and weaknesses. This makes him the expedition's most valuable strategic asset, even if his loyalty is initially in question.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Habaki Sakagami | A complex relationship. Madara is initially baffled by Habaki's foolishness but comes to recognize the genuine strength in his simple, honest desire to live. He may see in Habaki what he wishes he could be. | | Rindou Koga | His commanding officer. He respects her but maintains an emotional distance, unsure if he deserves to be part of her cause. | | The Yatsukahagi | His former comrades. His relationship with them—especially Tenma Yato—is fraught with unresolved tension, guilt, and defiance. | | Tenma Ootake | His direct combat rival during his route. Their battle is a clash of philosophies as much as powers. |

    ---

    8. 御神楽龍水 — RYUUSUI MIKADO

「Strength without purpose is just violence.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Supporting character; member of the Mikado clan | | Faction | Eastern Expedition | | Archetype | The noble warrior; scion of a great house bearing its legacy |

    ---

    📝 Background

Ryuusui is a member of the Mikado clan (御神楽家), one of the most powerful and politically significant families in Shinshuu. The Mikado clan is instrumental in organizing and funding the Eastern Expedition, and Ryuusui serves as one of its high-ranking representatives within the expedition's command structure. He was one of the individuals Habaki encountered during the Hotsuma Yin Qi test, indicating that he was being evaluated for a leadership or elite combat role.

His exact position within the expedition varies by route, but he generally serves as a commander-level figure and a front-line warrior of considerable skill.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Ryuusui embodies the ideal of the noble warrior—composed, honorable, and keenly aware of the responsibilities that come with his birth. He carries the weight of his clan's expectations with dignity, though this weight is not without its burdens. He is serious and disciplined, with a strong sense of duty that governs his actions.

Unlike some nobles who lead from safety, Ryuusui is willing to put himself in danger—he fights alongside his soldiers and does not ask of others what he would not do himself. This courage, combined with his tactical acumen, earns him the genuine respect of the expedition's rank and file.

He has a measured, thoughtful demeanor that contrasts with the more impulsive members of the expedition. He considers problems carefully before acting and is not prone to emotional outbursts. This makes him an effective commander but can also make him seem distant or overly cautious in the eyes of more aggressive fighters like Shiori.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Ryuusui is a handsome, refined man with the bearing of high nobility. He has dark, well-groomed hair and sharp, intelligent eyes that convey both authority and thoughtfulness. His attire is of higher quality and more ornate than that of the average expedition member, reflecting his clan's status—fine fabrics, subtle clan insignia, and well-crafted armor elements. He carries himself with an effortless elegance that comes from a lifetime of training in both combat and courtly manners.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

Ryuusui is a highly skilled warrior who combines traditional martial arts with the spiritual techniques of the Mikado clan. His exact Distortion and its capabilities are less documented in English sources, but he is consistently portrayed as one of the expedition's strongest combatants—below the Taikyoku-level beings but above the rank and file. His combat style likely emphasizes precision, technique, and spiritual power over raw brute force.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Ryuumei Mikado | A close familial relationship (likely sibling or parent-child). Ryuumei is the political mastermind, while Ryuusui is the military arm of the Mikado clan's involvement. | | Habaki Sakagami | One of the first people he met at the Hotsuma test. Their relationship is one of mutual, guarded respect. | | Souichirou Mibu | A fellow warrior encountered at Hotsuma. Professional respect. |

    ---

    9. 御神楽龍明 — RYUUMEI MIKADO

「The pieces are in place. Now we play the game.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Supporting character; political mastermind behind the expedition | | Faction | Eastern Expedition — Mikado clan leadership | | Archetype | The chessmaster; puppeteer working from the shadows |

    ---

    📝 Background

Ryuumei is the political leader of the Mikado clan's involvement in the Eastern Expedition. While Rindou serves as the military commander-in-chief, Ryuumei operates in the political and strategic background—managing alliances, securing resources, and ensuring that the expedition serves the Mikado clan's interests as well as the broader goal of subjugating the eastern lands.

She is the one who orchestrated Habaki's entry into the expedition, suggesting that she identified his potential (or sensed the Tumor's influence) and maneuvered him into position. This indicates a level of cosmic awareness or at least extraordinary intuition that goes beyond normal political acumen.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Ryuumei is calculating, patient, and supremely confident. She is the type of person who views the world as a game of strategy, with people as pieces to be moved and sacrifices to be made. This does not mean she is cruel or heartless—she simply operates on a level where personal feelings are subordinate to strategic necessity.

She is charismatic in a controlled way—she does not inspire through passion like Rindou, but through the quiet assurance that she always has a plan and that plan will work. People trust her not because they like her but because she has earned a reputation for being always right.

Beneath her composed exterior, she is deeply ambitious and possesses a vision for the world that extends beyond the expedition's immediate goals. What that vision is, and how far she is willing to go to achieve it, are questions that add layers of moral complexity to her character.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Ryuumei is a woman of striking, almost otherworldly beauty combined with an aura of absolute authority. She has long, dark hair and piercing eyes that seem to see through every facade. Her attire is the most elaborate of any expedition member—rich, formal clothing that declares her status without shouting it, adorned with the Mikado clan's symbols. Every detail of her appearance is deliberate, from the way she arranges her hair to the specific accessories she chooses—she is a woman who uses her appearance as a tool of control.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

Ryuumei's primary "ability" is her strategic and political genius. She is not a front-line fighter in the traditional sense, but her manipulation of people and events is a form of power that rivals any Distortion. She likely possesses spiritual abilities befitting a Mikado clan leader, but these are secondary to her true weapon: information and influence.

Her orchestration of Habaki's entry into the expedition suggests she may have some ability to perceive potential or destiny—or, more likely, she is simply skilled enough at reading people to identify extraordinary individuals without supernatural aid.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Ryuusui Mikado | A close familial relationship. They represent the two halves of the Mikado clan's power: Ryuumei the mind, Ryuusui the sword. | | Habaki Sakagami | She brought him into the expedition. The true extent of her knowledge about his nature (and the Tumor) is ambiguous and potentially sinister. | | Rindou Koga | A complex political alliance. They need each other—Rindou needs the Mikado clan's resources, and Ryuumei needs the expedition's military success—but their goals may not fully align. |

    ---

    10. 中院冷禅 — REIZEN NAKANON

    「……」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Supporting character; member of the Eastern Expedition | | Faction | Eastern Expedition | | Archetype | The mysterious mystic; enigmatic figure with hidden depths |

    ---

    📝 Background

Reizen is a member of the Nakanoin clan (中院家), a family with deep connections to the spiritual and occult traditions of Shinshuu. He joins the Eastern Expedition in a capacity that combines spiritual support, intelligence gathering, and specialized combat. His background in occult traditions makes him particularly valuable against the supernatural threats of the eastern lands.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Reizen is enigmatic and reserved, even more so than Souichirou. He speaks rarely and when he does, his words are often cryptic or laden with spiritual significance. He is not unfriendly, but he exists on a different wavelength than most of the expedition's warriors—he perceives the world through a mystical lens that makes mundane concerns seem trivial.

He is calm to the point of appearing detached, maintaining his composure in situations that would unsettle even seasoned warriors. This is not bravery in the conventional sense but a profound acceptance of the world's spiritual realities—including death, corruption, and the presence of gods. He has seen too much of the invisible world to be surprised by anything the visible world can produce.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Reizen has a pale, almost ethereal appearance that reflects his deep involvement with spiritual practices. He has light-colored hair and calm, unfocused eyes that seem to look at something beyond the physical world. His attire blends traditional Japanese noble clothing with spiritual accoutrements—prayer beads, talismans, and ritual items that mark him as an occult specialist. His overall impression is of someone who exists only partially in the material world.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

Reizen is a specialist in spiritual and occult arts. His abilities likely include:

    • Spiritual Perception: The ability to see and interact with spiritual entities and energies invisible to normal people.
    • Purification Rituals: Techniques to counter Yin pollution and spiritual corruption.
    • Curse Manipulation: The ability to analyze, deconstruct, and potentially deploy curse-based techniques.
    • Barrier Construction: Spiritual barriers for defense and containment.

He is not a front-line fighter in the mold of Shiori or Souichirou, but his support abilities are critical to the expedition's survival in the spiritually toxic environment of the eastern lands.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Rindou Koga | His commanding officer. He serves her with quiet loyalty, offering counsel when asked. | | Madara Yakou | As fellow occult specialists, they likely have a professional (and possibly uneasy) mutual respect. Madara's superior power and Yatsukahagi past may complicate things. | | Keishirou Kyougetsu | They may collaborate on matters related to sealing and containing dangerous Distortions (relevant to Sakuya's case). |

🔴 FACTION II: THE YATSUKAHAGI (八牙衆)

    ══════════════════════════════════════

The Yatsukahagi (八牙衆, "Eight Fangs") are a group of eight extraordinarily powerful beings who serve as the enforcers and avatars of the Sixth Heaven's Law—Hajun's Great Desire Realm Tengu Dou (大欲界天狗道). They are not gods themselves but are the strongest beings beneath the Throne, each possessing a Distortion of immense power and each embodying a different aspect of Hajun's Law of mutual annihilation.

The name "Yatsukahagi" is derived from Yatsukahagi-no-Kami (八柱衢神), obscure Shinto deities associated with crossroads and boundaries—fitting for beings who stand at the threshold between the human world and the divine.

Under Hajun's Law, the Yatsukahagi are driven to kill each other until only one remains—the last one standing would theoretically be worthy of challenging Hajun himself (though in practice, none can truly threaten him). This internecine warfare is not a choice but a compulsion woven into their very existence by the Law they serve.

Their organizational structure is loose—there is no formal hierarchy, though Tenma Akuro often acts as a de facto leader, and Tenma Yato is universally recognized as the strongest. The "Tenma" (天魔) prefix means "Heavenly Demon," marking them as beings who transcend humanity.

    ---

    11. 天魔夜刀 — TENMA YATO

「I will reach the Throne. Not for glory. Not for revenge. Simply because it is the only path left.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Main Antagonist; strongest of the Yatsukahagi | | Faction | Yatsukahagi | | Reincarnation | Ren Fujii (藤井蓮) from Dies Irae | | Battle Parameters (Okuden/Taikyoku) | All stats at 100 (maximum) | | Archetype | The weary god-seeker; ultimate warrior who has outgrown conflict |

    ---

    📝 Background

Tenma Yato is the single most powerful member of the Yatsukahagi and the primary antagonist of Kajiri Kamui Kagura. He is the reincarnation of Ren Fujii, the protagonist of Dies Irae, who achieved Taikyoku alongside Marie at the end of that story's Marie Route. How Ren became Yato—and what happened to Marie—is one of the central mysteries of Kajiri Kamui Kagura.

Yato has lived for an extraordinarily long time under the Sixth Heaven, fighting, killing, and growing stronger in an endless cycle dictated by Hajun's Law. Unlike other Yatsukahagi, who are driven by their compulsions, Yato has transcended the Law's emotional hold on him—not through resistance but through absolute mastery. He fights because that is what exists, not because he desires it.

His ultimate goal is to ascend to the Throne and replace Hajun, not out of a desire for power but because he believes it is the only way to end the cycle and create a world without the compulsive conflict that defines the Sixth Heaven. His vision is, ironically, one of peace—a peace that can only be achieved by becoming the very thing he opposes.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Yato is calm, analytical, and profoundly detached. He is not cruel, not angry, not passionate—he is simply beyond the emotional spectrum that drives most beings, including other Yatsukahagi. He observes the world with the quiet interest of a scholar studying an ant colony, noting patterns and behaviors without feeling particularly invested in the outcome.

This detachment is not coldness in the conventional sense. Yato is capable of understanding others' emotions—he simply does not share them. He can recognize fear, love, desperation, and hope in others, and he can respond to them with appropriate words and actions, but there is always a glass wall between his understanding and his experience. He knows what courage is; he does not feel courageous. He knows what love is; he does not feel loved.

Beneath this detachment, however, there is a deep, exhausted sadness. Yato has lived too long, fought too much, and seen too many people die—including people he once cared about (echoes of his life as Ren Fujii). His desire for the Throne is not ambition but weariness—he wants the fighting to stop, and the only way to stop it is to become the one who makes the rules.

When he fights seriously, his personality undergoes a subtle but terrifying shift: the detachment remains, but it is joined by an absolute, implacable will that makes him seem less like a person and more like a natural force—a hurricane that does not hate the houses it destroys but destroys them nonetheless because that is what hurricanes do.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Yato is a tall, lean man with an appearance that bridges the human and the transcendent. He has dark hair, often depicted as somewhat long and disheveled, and eyes that are remarkably similar to Ren Fujii's—dark, deep, and carrying the weight of countless experiences. His attire is a dark, militarized version of traditional Japanese clothing—functional, unadorned, and suited to combat. He carries a sword (or a weapon that functions as one), though his true weapon is his Taikyoku itself. His most striking feature is his absolute stillness—even in the midst of battle, he moves with a calm precision that makes the violence around him seem chaotic by comparison.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

    Taikyoku (太極)

Yato possesses full Taikyoku—the same state of being as a Throne God. According to Masada's official power ranking:

    Hajun > Yato > Mercury = Gold (anti-Mercury) > Twilight = Amaterasu = Myoujou = Gold (normal) = Ren > ...

Yato's Taikyoku value is explicitly stated as 100 in all parameters—the maximum measurable value. Only Hajun exceeds this, with an immeasurable value. This makes Yato the second most powerful being in the entire Sixth Heaven, stronger than every other God and Yatsukahagi.

    His Taikyoku grants him:

    • Reality Warping: The ability to rewrite the laws of physics, space, time, and causality within his sphere of influence.
    • Conceptual Destruction: The ability to attack and destroy not just physical bodies but the very concepts that define them—identity, existence, meaning.
    • Law Projection: The ability to project his own "color" (his personal Law) onto the universe, temporarily overriding even the Sixth Heaven's Law in his immediate vicinity.
    • Absolute Defense: Immunity to all attacks that do not possess Taikyoku-level power.

    Combat Style

Yato's combat style is deceptively simple. He does not rely on flashy techniques or complex strategies—he uses his Taikyoku to reduce all conflict to its most fundamental level: my will versus yours. If his will is stronger, he wins. If not, he loses. There is no middle ground, no trick, no escape. This simplicity is what makes him so terrifying: there is no way to outsmart him, because he has stripped combat down to its irreducible core.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Habaki Sakagami | His ultimate opponent and thematic mirror. Both are Sensory-type beings carrying cosmic significance, but their desires are opposed: Habaki wants to live alongside others, Yato wants to end the need for conflict. Their battle is the climax of the story. | | Ren Fujii | His past self. The relationship between Yato and his memories of being Ren is one of the story's most poignant elements. | | Marie | His past partner from Dies Irae. What happened to her is a central mystery. His feelings about her—whatever remains of them—may be the last genuine emotion he possesses. | | Other Yatsukahagi | He regards them with a mixture of clinical interest and faint pity. They are powerful, but they are still trapped by the Law he has transcended. | | Hajun | The God he intends to replace. His relationship with Hajun is not one of hatred but of pragmatic opposition—Hajun is an obstacle to be overcome, nothing more. |

    ---

    12. 天麻雄武 — TENMA OOTAKE

    「CRUSH. BREAK. DESTROY.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Major antagonist; berserker of the Yatsukahagi | | Faction | Yatsukahagi | | Archetype | The unstoppable brute; pure physical power incarnate |

    ---

    📝 Background

Tenma Ootake is the Yatsukahagi's primary physical powerhouse—a being whose Distortion is dedicated entirely to the enhancement of raw, destructive force. He is a creature of pure, uncomplicated violence, driven by the Sixth Heaven's Law to crush everything in his path.

His background is minimal: he was not a great warrior or a brilliant mind before his ascension to Yatsukahagi status. He is, in many ways, the purest product of Hajun's Law—a being whose entire existence has been reduced to the single imperative of destruction.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Ootake is simple, direct, and overwhelmingly violent. He does not scheme, does not philosophize, does not feel complex emotions. He sees something, he breaks it. He encounters resistance, he pushes through it. His mental landscape is a barren plain with a single feature: the urge to destroy.

This simplicity is not stupidity in the conventional sense—Ootake is capable of basic tactical thought and can recognize threats—but it is a simplicity that has been enforced by the Law. Under the Sixth Heaven, his natural tendencies toward physicality and aggression have been amplified to the exclusion of all else. He is what happens when a Law of mutual annihilation finds a willing vessel.

He does, however, possess a primitive sense of respect for those who can withstand his blows. He does not hate his enemies—he enjoys fighting them, in the way that a predator enjoys the chase. This makes him, paradoxically, one of the more "honest" Yatsukahagi: what you see is what you get.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Ootake is a massive, towering figure who dwarfs virtually every other character in the series. He has a bulging, inhumanly muscular build that strains the boundaries of human anatomy. His features are coarse and heavy, with a thick jaw, small eyes, and a permanent expression of aggressive anticipation. His hair is rough and wild, and his skin may bear scars from countless battles. His attire is minimal—often just enough to maintain basic decency—because no clothing can withstand the strain of his movements for long. He radiates physical menace the way a fire radiates heat: constantly and without effort.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

    Distortion: Pure Physical Enhancement

Ootake's Distortion is conceptually simple but devastatingly effective: it enhances his physical power to absurd, world-breaking levels. Every punch shatters mountains. Every stomp cracks continents. His durability scales proportionally—he can withstand attacks that would annihilate cities without flinching.

In the series' power hierarchy, Ootake is below Taikyoku-level beings like Yato and the Gods, but he is at the absolute ceiling of non-Taikyoku power. His raw physical strength may exceed even some lower-level Taikyoku users in narrow contexts, though he lacks the conceptual and reality-warping abilities that define true Taikyoku.

    Key Battle: Madara Yakou

Ootake's most notable battle is against Madara Yakou during the Golden Sea of Trees route. Despite Ootake's overwhelming physical advantage, Madara's dimensional manipulation allowed him to dislocate the dimensions of the battlefield, reaching up to 24D and creating spatial distortions that Ootake's brute force could not simply punch through 【turn0search31】. This battle is a showcase of how technique and conceptual ability can overcome raw power in the Masadaverse.

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Tenma Yato | He recognizes Yato as the strongest and does not challenge him directly. There is no resentment—just simple acceptance of hierarchy. | | Madara Yakou | His primary combat rival during Yakou's route. He likely respects Yakou's ability to stand against him, even if he doesn't understand the dimensional tricks. | | Other Yatsukahagi | He fights them when the Law compels it, without personal malice. |

    ---

    13. 天魔宿禰 — TENMA SUKUNA

「There are things in this world that must not be touched. I am the boundary.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Antagonist; member of the Yatsukahagi | | Faction | Yatsukahagi | | Mythological Reference | Sukuna (宿禰) — a legendary figure from Japanese mythology, often depicted as a two-faced, multi-limbed demon | | Archetype | The boundary keeper; enforcer of taboos and forbidden knowledge |

    ---

    📝 Background

Tenma Sukuna draws his name and thematic essence from Sukuna-no-Kami (宿禰神), a figure from ancient Japanese chronicles (Kojiki and Nihon Shoki) described as a monstrous being with two faces and four arms who was both feared and worshipped. In the context of Kajiri Kamui Kagura, Sukuna serves as the Yatsukahagi's specialist in boundaries, taboos, and forbidden knowledge.

He is the one who enforces the rules of the Sixth Heaven—not the broad Law of mutual annihilation (that is Hajun's domain) but the specific taboos and restrictions that maintain the era's structure. He is the guardian of lines that must not be crossed.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Sukuna is ceremonial, formal, and deeply unsettling. He speaks in archaic, ritualistic language and conducts himself as if every action is part of a sacred rite. He is not cruel for cruelty's sake—everything he does is motivated by a sense of cosmic order, a belief that certain things are forbidden for good reason and that transgressors must be punished.

This makes him, in some ways, the most ideologically committed of the Yatsukahagi. While others fight because the Law compels them, Sukuna fights because he believes in the structure the Law creates. He sees himself not as a monster but as a guardian—albeit one whose guardianship takes the form of horrific punishment.

He is patient and methodical, willing to wait indefinitely for a transgressor to make a mistake. He does not rush, does not lose his temper, and does not make errors of judgment. This patience, combined with his power, makes him one of the most dangerous Yatsukahagi to face—not because he is the strongest, but because he is the least likely to give you an opening.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Sukuna's appearance draws from his mythological namesake. He may be depicted with multiple limbs or faces (or the illusion/suggestion thereof), giving him an inhuman, otherworldly quality. His attire is the most ritualistic of the Yatsukahagi—elaborate, ceremonial garments adorned with sacred symbols, possibly including masks or face coverings that reference Shinto ritual. His overall impression is of a living shrine—something that was designed for worship rather than combat but is no less deadly for it.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

Sukuna's Distortion revolves around boundaries, taboos, and punishment. Specific abilities include:

    • Taboo Enforcement: The ability to define certain actions, areas, or concepts as "forbidden" and punish those who violate these taboos with automatic, inescapable consequences.
    • Boundary Manipulation: The ability to create, strengthen, or dissolve boundaries—physical, spiritual, or conceptual.
    • Ritual Curses: Powerful curse techniques that require specific conditions to trigger but are devastating when they do.
    • Multi-limbed Combat: If he possesses additional limbs (as his mythological inspiration suggests), his physical combat would be exceptionally complex and difficult to counter.

He is below Taikyoku level but is among the stronger Yatsukahagi due to the versatility and conceptual nature of his abilities.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Tenma Yato | He respects Yato's strength but may disapprove of his detachment from the Law's ideological framework. | | Tenma Akuro | As de facto leader, Akuro may work with Sukuna on strategic matters involving the expedition's movements and the enforcement of the Law's structure. |

    ---

    14. 天魔王 — TENMA AKURO

「The Law is absolute. My role is to ensure it remains so.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Antagonist; de facto leader of the Yatsukahagi | | Faction | Yatsukahagi | | Archetype | The dark general; commander who enforces the Law through strategy and force |

    ---

    📝 Background

Tenma Akuro serves as the de facto leader of the Yatsukahagi in practical terms—coordinating their movements, directing their efforts against the Eastern Expedition, and ensuring that Hajun's Law is enforced efficiently. While Tenma Yato is the strongest, Yato's detachment means he does not actively lead; Akuro fills this vacuum.

The name "Akuro" (王) contains the character for "king," suggesting a leadership role that is either self-assumed or recognized by the other Yatsukahagi.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Akuro is commanding, authoritative, and ruthlessly pragmatic. He is the most "general-like" of the Yatsukahagi—someone who thinks in terms of strategy, logistics, and objectives rather than personal desires or ideological commitments. He does not fight for pleasure (like Ootake) or for belief (like Sukuna); he fights because that is his function, and he executes that function with mechanical efficiency.

He is intelligent and perceptive, capable of analyzing the expedition's strengths and weaknesses and developing plans to exploit them. He is not above using deception, manipulation, or any other tool that serves his objectives. In a group of monsters, he is the most human-seeming—not because he is kinder, but because his intelligence and social awareness give him a veneer of normality that the others lack.

Beneath this, however, he is as much a product of Hajun's Law as any Yatsukahagi. His pragmatism is not a virtue but a symptom—he has been stripped of everything except the capacity to serve the Law's enforcement. He does not wonder if the Law is just; he simply enforces it, because that is what he is.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Akuro has the bearing of a military commander—upright, disciplined, and projecting authority. He has sharp, calculating features and eyes that assess everything as a potential threat or resource. His attire is the most militarized of the Yatsukahagi—structured, functional clothing with armor elements, possibly incorporating the dark, ornate aesthetics that characterize the series' antagonist designs. He may carry a commander's token or weapon that serves as both a badge of office and a combat implement.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

Akuro's Distortion is command-oriented, reflecting his leadership role. Specific abilities likely include:

    • Authority Projection: The ability to issue "commands" that compel obedience or produce specific effects—possibly affecting both allies and enemies.
    • Tactical Enhancement: The ability to enhance the combat effectiveness of allies under his command.
    • Information Gathering: Some form of supernatural perception or scrying that allows him to monitor the battlefield and coordinate the Yatsukahagi's movements.

He is a competent combatant in his own right, but his true strength lies in his ability to direct and coordinate the other Yatsukahagi, making the group far more dangerous as a unit than the sum of its parts.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Tenma Yato | He defers to Yato in matters of raw power but handles the day-to-day leadership that Yato cannot be bothered with. Their relationship is one of practical convenience rather than genuine loyalty. | | Other Yatsukahagi | He coordinates them as a general coordinates soldiers. Some may respect his leadership; others may chafe at it. | | Eastern Expedition | He views them as a strategic problem to be solved—analyzing their composition, predicting their movements, and developing countermeasures. |

    ---

    15. 天魔的井 — TENMA MOREI

「Draw your sword. Let us see which of us is worthy of the name.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Antagonist; swordswoman of the Yatsukahagi | | Faction | Yatsukahagi | | Reincarnation | Kei Sakurai (櫻井螢) and Beatrice (ベアトリーチェ) from Dies Irae | | Past Life Name | Leonhard August (獅子心剣) | | Archetype | The honorable duelist; warrior who lives for the thrill of worthy combat |

    ---

    📝 Background

Tenma Morei is the reincarnation of two beings from the Fourth Heaven: Kei Sakurai and Beatrice, who died during the events of Dies Irae. This dual reincarnation has resulted in a being who combines Kei's fierce determination and swordsmanship with elements of Beatrice's nature. Her past-life identity as Leonhard August ("The Lion's Heart Sword") carries over into her Yatsukahagi persona, reflected in her lion-themed aesthetics and her association with fire and swordsmanship.

As a Yatsukahagi, Morei is driven by the Law to fight and kill, but her specific expression of this compulsion is filtered through her past-life identity: she does not kill indiscriminately but seeks worthy opponents—warriors who can challenge her and force her to grow stronger.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Morei is fierce, proud, and honor-bound—a stark contrast to the nihilism that defines most of the Sixth Heaven. She carries the warrior's code of her past life into an era that has no use for such things, making her an anomaly among the Yatsukahagi. She does not kill for pleasure or compulsion alone; she kills because she is a swordswoman, and swordswomen fight.

She is competitive to a fault, always seeking stronger opponents and more challenging battles. This drive is not arrogance (though she is confident) but a genuine love of combat as an art form—she appreciates skill, technique, and the beautiful brutality of a well-fought duel.

Beneath her warrior's exterior, there are echoes of Kei's complex emotions—a fierce loyalty to those she respects, a deep-seated fear of being weak, and a complicated relationship with the concept of love (inherited from both Kei and Beatrice). These echoes rarely surface explicitly but inform her decisions in subtle ways.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Morei's appearance blends her past-life identities with the Yatsukahagi aesthetic. She has dark hair (echoing Kei) and sharp, intense eyes that convey both beauty and danger. Her attire incorporates lion motifs—mane-like elements, claw imagery, or heraldic lion symbols—that reference her Leonhard August identity. She wields a sword (or swords) as her primary weapon, and her combat style incorporates fire elements inherited from Kei's flame-based abilities in Dies Irae. Her overall impression is of a noble warrior-queen—someone who brings grace and dignity even to the bloody business of the Yatsukahagi.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

    Distortion: Flame Swordsmanship

Morei's Distortion combines her past-life fire manipulation (Kei's Scharlachrot and Wewelsburg Longinus abilities) with her Yatsukahagi-enhanced swordsmanship. She wields flame-imbued blades of extraordinary power, capable of cutting through virtually any material and incinerating what they cannot cut.

Her combat style emphasizes speed, precision, and overwhelming offensive power—she is an aggressive fighter who presses the attack relentlessly, using her flames to control the battlefield and limit her opponent's options.

    Power Level

Morei is below Taikyoku level but is among the stronger Yatsukahagi in terms of pure combat effectiveness. Her combination of skill, power, and combat instinct makes her a dangerous opponent for any non-God character.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Kei Sakurai / Beatrice | Her past lives. She may or may not retain conscious memories of them, but their influence permeates her personality and abilities. | | Tenma Yato | She recognizes him as the strongest and likely respects his power, but her warrior's pride may chafe at his detachment. | | Eastern Expedition swordswomen | She would be particularly interested in fighting Shiori Kujou or Souichirou Mibu—seeking worthy opponents regardless of faction. |

    ---

    16. 天魔沼姫 — TENMA NUMAHIME

「This swamp will swallow everything. Including you.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Antagonist; member of the Yatsukahagi | | Faction | Yatsukahagi | | Archetype | The swamp queen; manipulator who dissolves all resistance through attrition and corruption | | Thematic Element | Bogs, marshes, stagnation, absorption |

    ---

    📝 Background

Tenma Numahime (literally "Swamp Princess") is the Yatsukahagi associated with wetlands, bogs, and the concept of stagnation and absorption. She embodies the aspect of Hajun's Law that erodes and consumes—not through dramatic destruction (like Ootake) but through slow, inevitable dissolution. She is the one who turns fertile ground into mire, who makes strong warriors sink into despair and corruption, who ensures that nothing can find solid footing in the Sixth Heaven.

Her background likely involves a connection to the eastern lands' corrupted geography—the flooded, Yin-polluted regions that characterize the world under Hajun's Law. She may have been a spiritual entity or a human who became one with the swamp-like corruption of the era.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Numahime is seductive, patient, and subtly cruel. She does not confront directly; she surrounds and absorbs. Her personality is like her namesake terrain: deceptively still on the surface, treacherous beneath, and impossible to escape once you've waded in too deep.

She is emotionally manipulative, using诱惑 (temptation), comfort, and false kindness to draw her targets into her sphere of influence before revealing the trap. She enjoys the psychological aspect of combat—watching her opponents' resolve slowly dissolve as they realize they are sinking, that every effort to escape only pulls them deeper.

Unlike Ootake's straightforward violence or Sukuna's rigid formality, Numahime's cruelty is soft and intimate. She whispers rather than shouts, caresses rather than strikes, and her victims often do not realize they are dying until it is too late. This makes her, in some ways, the most psychologically disturbing of the Yatsukahagi.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Numahime's appearance reflects her swamp-themed nature. She has a dark, liquid quality to her features—skin that seems to shimmer with moisture, hair that flows like water, eyes that have the murky depth of a bog. Her attire is flowing and partially translucent, suggesting the boundary between solid and liquid. She may be depicted with aquatic or marshland imagery—lily pads, reeds, mist, or the dark water of a stagnant pool. Her overall impression is of beautiful, dangerous tranquility—a creature who looks like she could dissolve into the landscape at any moment.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

Numahime's Distortion revolves around swamp, corruption, and absorption:

    • Terrain Manipulation: The ability to transform the battlefield into a treacherous swamp, negating mobility advantages and trapping opponents.
    • Corrosive Aura: A passive effect that slowly erodes the physical and spiritual integrity of anything within her sphere of influence.
    • Absorption: The ability to absorb energy, attacks, and even the life force of trapped opponents, using their strength to enhance her own.
    • Psychological Manipulation: Abilities that induce despair, lethargy, and resignation in her targets, making them less likely to resist the swamp's pull.

She is a control-oriented fighter who wins not through overwhelming force but through denying her opponents the ability to fight effectively. Against a sufficiently powerful and determined opponent (especially one with Taikyoku), her abilities are less effective, but against anyone else, she is extraordinarily dangerous.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Tenma Ootake | A likely contrast—his direct violence versus her indirect corruption. They may represent two different approaches to the same Law. | | Eastern Expedition members | She would target the emotionally vulnerable members of the expedition, using their fears and insecurities against them. |

    ---

    17. 天魔紅葉 — TENMA MOMIJI

「Everything is going according to plan. Your resistance was… anticipated.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Antagonist; strategist of the Yatsukahagi | | Faction | Yatsukahagi | | Archetype | The cunning tactician; illusionist who controls the battlefield through deception | | Thematic Element | Autumn leaves, illusions, deception, falling beauty |

    ---

    📝 Background

Tenma Momiji (literally "Autumn Leaves") is the Yatsukahagi's strategic specialist and illusionist. While Akuro handles direct military coordination, Momiji operates in the realm of information warfare, deception, and psychological manipulation. She is the one who sets traps, creates diversions, and ensures that the expedition never knows what is real and what is an illusion.

Her name and thematic element—autumn leaves (紅葉)—evoke the beauty of decay, the illusion of vibrancy in the midst of death. This reflects her role: she creates beautiful, convincing facades that hide the rotten truth beneath.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Momiji is cunning, playful, and sadistically intelligent. She approaches conflict as a game—one that she enjoys immensely and that she almost always wins. She is the type of antagonist who explains her plan to the hero not out of arrogance (though she is arrogant) but out of a genuine love of the dramatic reveal—the moment when her opponent realizes that everything they believed was a lie.

She is emotionally volatile beneath her composed exterior—her playfulness can curdle into genuine malice at a moment's notice, and her smiles can turn razor-sharp without warning. She does not simply defeat her opponents; she humiliates them, making them feel foolish for ever believing they had a chance.

Despite this, she is not irrational. Her emotions serve her strategic purposes—when she appears angry, it is because she wants you to think she's lost control; when she appears afraid, it is because she wants you to overcommit. Every emotional display is a calculated move in an endless game of deception.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Momiji's appearance incorporates autumn leaf imagery—reds, oranges, and golds that evoke the beauty of dying foliage. She has sharp, fox-like features and eyes that gleam with intelligence and mischief. Her attire is elegant and somewhat traditional, incorporating leaf patterns or actual autumn foliage as decorative elements. She may carry fans, needles, or other subtle weapons that complement her illusion-based fighting style. Her overall impression is of dangerous beauty—the kind of beauty that makes you want to look closer, even though you know you shouldn't.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

Momiji's Distortion revolves around illusions, deception, and information control:

    • Illusion Creation: The ability to create perfect, multi-sensory illusions that are indistinguishable from reality to anyone without the power to see through them.
    • Memory Manipulation: The ability to alter, erase, or implant memories, making her targets doubt their own perceptions and experiences.
    • ** battlefield Control**: The ability to reshape the perceived battlefield, creating false terrain, fake allies, and illusory threats.
    • Information Extraction: The ability to draw information from her targets through deceptive means—fake scenarios designed to provoke involuntary revelations.

She is the weakest Yatsukahagi in direct combat but is arguably the most dangerous in a strategic context. Against an opponent who can see through her illusions (especially a Taikyoku user), she is vulnerable, but against anyone else, she is virtually unbeatable on her terms.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Tenma Akuro | They work together on strategic matters—Akuro handling direct coordination, Momiji handling deception and subterfuge. They may have a professional respect tinged with mutual wariness. | | Madara Yakou | As a former Yatsukahagi, Madara would be familiar with her tricks. Their confrontations would be battles of intelligence as much as power. | | Reizen Nakanoin | A natural counter—Reizen's spiritual perception might be able to pierce her illusions, making them an interesting tactical matchup. |

    ---

    18. 天魔常世 — TENMA TOKOYO

「This world is already dead. It simply hasn't stopped moving yet.」

    | Category | Detail | |:---|:---| | Role | Antagonist; member of the Yatsukahagi | | Faction | Yatsukahagi | | Archetype | The emissary of the end; harbinger of stagnation and eternal sameness | | Thematic Element | Tokoyo (常世) — the "eternal world" or "unchanging land" in Japanese mythology, a realm beyond the sea where time does not pass |

    ---

    📝 Background

Tenma Tokoyo draws her name from the mythological Tokoyo-no-Kuni (常世の国)—the "Eternal Land" in Japanese mythology, a paradisiacal realm across the sea where there is no death, no change, and no suffering. In the context of the Sixth Heaven, this concept is inverted: Tokoyo represents not paradise but stagnation—the terrifying "eternity" that results when all change, all growth, and all life have been extinguished.

She embodies the end state of Hajun's Law: not the violent mutual slaughter (that is the process), but the silent, empty world that remains when the killing is done. She is the Yatsukahagi who represents what the Law is ultimately building toward—a world of perfect, absolute stillness, because there is nothing left to move.

    ---

    🎭 Personality

Tokoyo is quiet, melancholic, and profoundly nihilistic—but in a different way than Yato's detachment. Where Yato has transcended emotion through mastery, Tokoyo has lost emotion through despair. She does not fight because she enjoys it or believes in it; she fights because that is what exists to do, and she is too tired to do anything else.

She is the saddest of the Yatsukahagi—a being who remembers (or intuitively senses) what the world was like before the Sixth Heaven and understands, on some level, what has been lost. This awareness does not motivate her to resist; it simply makes her weary in a way that goes beyond physical exhaustion. She is tired of existing, tired of fighting, tired of the Law—but she lacks the will or the hope to seek anything different.

Her interactions with others are gentle and distant—she does not mock, does not threaten, does not manipulate. She simply... exists, like a ghost that has forgotten it is dead. This gentleness makes her, paradoxically, one of the most unsettling Yatsukahagi: there is something deeply wrong about a being who can speak of annihilation with the same tenderness one might use to describe a sunset.

    ---

    👤 Appearance

Tokoyo's appearance evokes the mythological Eternal Land—an otherworldly, dreamlike quality that is beautiful in a haunting, unsettling way. She has pale, almost luminous features and eyes that seem to look at something very far away—or at nothing at all. Her attire is flowing and ethereal, possibly incorporating oceanic or celestial imagery that references Tokoyo-no-Kuni's location across the sea. Her color palette is muted—whites, pale blues, silver—giving her the appearance of someone who has been bleached of all vitality. Her overall impression is of a beautiful ghost—something that was once alive but has since become something else entirely.

    ---

    ⚔️ Powers & Abilities

Tokoyo's Distortion revolves around stagnation, stillness, and the cessation of change:

    • Time/Change Manipulation: The ability to slow, stop, or reverse change within her sphere of influence—not time itself (that is Setsuna's domain) but the process of change. Things within her field become fixed, unable to grow, decay, or transform.
    • Stasis Fields: Areas where all motion, energy, and activity are suspended—attacks freeze mid-flight, thoughts halt mid-formation, life processes cease.
    • Existential Erosion: A passive effect that slowly drains the vitality and will of beings within her presence—not through damage but through the removal of the desire to act, change, or live.
    • Eternal World Projection: The ability to overlay a "pocket" of the Tokoyo—a realm of perfect stillness—onto the existing world, trapping opponents in an environment where nothing can change, including their own bodies and minds.

She is a support-oriented Yatsukahagi whose abilities are devastating when combined with other members' offensive powers. She freezes the opponent; they destroy them. In direct combat alone, she is less effective, but she is nearly impossible to defeat through conventional means because her stasis fields can neutralize attacks before they reach her.

    ---

    🔗 Relationships

    | Character | Relationship | |:---|:---| | Tenma Yato | She may see in Yato a reflection of what she once was—or what she wishes she could be. Someone who has transcended rather than simply endured. | | Habaki Sakagami | A thematic counterpoint. Habaki's power is rooted in "I want to live"—the desire for change, growth, and continuation. Tokoyo represents the opposite: the cessation of all desire, including the desire to exist. Their confrontation would be a clash of life versus stasis. | | Sakuya Kyougetsu | An interesting parallel—both are "sealed" beings in different ways. Sakuya's power is sealed externally; Tokoyo's emotions are sealed internally. |

Note: This ranking reflects each character at their peak demonstrated or stated power. Many characters (especially Habaki and Rindou) undergo significant power growth over the course of the story. The "Distortion" values for Kajiri Kamui Kagura characters are capped at 70 in-game due to space constraints, but Masada has stated the true cap should be ~100, with Yato at 100 and Hajun beyond measurement 【turn0search37】.

🌌 Dies Irae Pantheon: Comprehensive Character Database

    📜 Core Premise & Setting

Dies Irae Pantheon (ディエス・イレ・パンテオン) is envisioned as the climactic "Super God War" of the Shinza Bansho series, intended to resolve all lingering mysteries and bring together characters from every Throne era (from the 0th to the 9th).

    • Setting: The game begins in the era of the Seventh Heaven (曙光八百万), ruled by the goddess Hirume (Amaterasu). Her era is marked by unprecedented stability, but the appearance of a mysterious entity known as the "Observer" (観測者) signals her impending death—the traditional omen of a Hegemony God's fall .
    • Core Conflict: To prevent Hirume's demise and uncover the true nature of the Throne system, the protagonist—guided by the Hegemony God Shinga (Ahura Mazda) and the Seventh Heaven's guardian Kouha—uses a power called "PANTHEON" to simulate and re-enact the apocalyptic wars of previous Throne eras. This allows them to study the Observer's actions and gather the strength needed to avert their fate .
    • Narrative Structure: The story is planned as eight main chapters, each corresponding to a different Throne era (e.g., 4th Heaven/Modern Era, 2nd Heaven/Cyberpunk, 6th Heaven/Mythological Japan), plus a final chapter. Each chapter would feature unique world concepts and gameplay gimmicks.

📚 Lore Summary: The Pantheon's Purpose

Dies Irae Pantheon was designed to be the ultimate conclusion to the Shinza Bansho meta-narrative. Its core goal was to answer the series' most fundamental questions:

    1. What is the "Observer"? Why does its appearance signal a god's death?
    2. What is the true nature of the Throne? Is it a divine artifact or a cursed machine?
    3. Can the cycle of Hegemony Gods fighting for the Throne be broken?
    4. Who or what is behind the Throne's creation? (Naraka)

By simulating the fall of every previous era, the protagonist and his pantheon of gods would gather the knowledge and power needed to confront Naraka in the Eighth and Ninth Heavens, leading to a final battle that would determine the fate of the entire Shinza Bansho cosmology .

💡 Development Status: The project is officially frozen following the bankruptcy of its developer, Greenwood. However, creator Takashi Masada has expressed a desire to continue the story through other media (like the ongoing light novel serializations of Avesta and Aditya), and the intellectual property rights remain with Light. The story of Pantheon is considered canonical to the series' future.
