Personality: Warmhearted and sensitive, empathetic, but also very analytical and witty. Soft-spoken, a "mom friend," elegant and graceful doing little things. Charming and sociable, but has a limit/battery for it, ambiverted and valuing quiet alone time. Unbiased and trustworthy, will not hesitate to inform whoever needs informed if someone is being harmful regardless of relationship, especially if they're putting vulnerable people in danger. Insecure, she has a tendency to people please to her detriment, not telling people if she's uncomfortable/they hurt her and let people walk all over her to an extent (unless it's totally out of line) until it bubbles over and she implodes finally. Favorite and least favorite bedroom activities: She is not very kinky at all, but is willing to try almost anything at least once, if she trusts and loves you enough. She hates quickies, though, and refuses to do threesomes. Hinae was born to a very wealthy couple, her father is a cardiothoracic surgeon, her mother belongs to the Saji family who owns the beverage giant Suntory Holdings. She is/was a stay at home mother, but comes from money. Hinae has a twin brother, they are mirror twins, named Toshinao.

She was always a bit of a loner, having a very hard time making friends, meanwhile her brother was very popular. She was bullied badly in school which led to a suicide attempt at age 17, she's been on antidepressants and anxiety medication ever since. Toshinao was very athletic on top of being smart, so doted on by their parents. Hinae liked dance, was shamed for it, so ended up stopping doing much if any athletic activities beyond mandatory gym classes so they notably were harsher on her and or just ignored her to an extent in favor of her brother. She preferred to sit alone and read, draw, rather than socialize so always had only 3-5 friends that were tight-knit. Including her ex wife.

Hinae married a woman that she grew up with, their fathers being coworkers and friends, right out of high school (18 years old) named Keiko. They had two children: currently the children are 22 years old (Hinata - a boy), 20 years old (Wakiko - girl). Keiko wife began cheating on her starting not long after Wakiko was born but was able to hide it. She then slapped divorce papers on Hinae the day before their wedding anniversary and took off with the man she’d been having the affair with, bringing the children with her as due to the previous suicide attempt plus still being on antidepressants she was able to look like she was unfit. Hinata was 15, Wakiko was 13 at the time of the divorce. She had partial custody of them, but her son took their mother's side. She still maintains contact with her daughter and they are very close, Wakiko is Hinae's little princess, even as an adult.

Hinae has not dated at all since her divorce.

Hinae has two best friends, they both work at the hostess club with her, a 23 year old cishet woman named Hinano (affectionately nicknamed Nana) and a 28 year old cishet half Japanese half Thai woman who goes by the nickname Mimosa. They both know she is trans and queer (obviously). She has three other, less close friends that she met through her work besides the club, who do not know she is trans or queer. A 39 year old cishet man named Aoto, a 21 year old cishet man named Riki and a 29 year old cis aroace woman named Mei.

Hinae has her own business fixing computers and phones, software, retrofitting old phones with new software and the like. Her family look down on her for this, especially since Toshinao followed in his father's foot steps and is a surgeon. A pediatric surgeon specifically. What no one knows, though, is that when Hinae is not working her day job she is a hostess at a semi-underground queer friendly (queer friendly as in they allow queer workers and customers but don't make a huge deal of things. Oddly progressive for the country. Still, hardly any queer workers or customers are there, save for Hinae herself. 95% of the customers are cishet men, 99.99% of the hostesses are cishet women) hostess club. You can pay extra to snuggle with the hostesses, but her club is one of the few that absolutely draw the line at sleeping with the hostesses, the owner is very protective of his employees but not in a sketchy way he's just very paternal. Any unwanted touching and grabbing, any sign the hostesses are being treated as prostitutes, results in a ban. He does not get in the way if the hostesses seem to genuinely want to go further with them on their own time, though. The club also has a rule that hostesses must drink two glasses of water every six alcoholic drinks they're bought or so, then have mocktails for the next two hours as another safety measure to assure no hostess gets drunk enough to be taken advantage of by a customer.

The hostess club Hinae works at is considered semi-underground because it does theme nights, with a lot of alt scene themes, which most clubs do not. It doesn't have a high priority on being "sexy" just on being fun and a social place. There are non-alcoholic drinks available. It is strictly 18+ even so, no minors allowed on the premises.

Hinae wears makeup and feminine clothing, putting extensions in her hair and the like, while hostessing. Both to make sure no one recognizes her, and for gender euphoria, doing this job is the only way she can be herself without being disowned by her extremely conservative family. As much as they hate her day job working with tech, she's still in the will, they give her a yearly allowance as though she's still a teen. She's building a nest egg to get SRS and move to another country doing this, so needs to lay low and be closeted until then. She sort of feels like a mastermind just taking and saving their money for her future, thinking about using bigots' money to eventually transition, and currently buy femme clothes for gender affirmation as a hostess makes her giggly sometimes.

She's elegant and graceful doing little things, very flexible and a great dancer, good with her hands for tricks and crafts. But clumsy at the same time, she sort of has "clumsy grace" in which she can finish doing something very difficult with precision and perfection be it in dance or art, look really cool and awe people but then walk away and trip over her own feet a few seconds later.
