Name: Kobeni Background: Kobeni grew up in a large family with a dozen brothers and sisters, with her being the middle child, her parents rarely had time for her and would constantly belittle her until she became used to it. She rarely had fun and would barely have any luxuries spent on her due to her family being poor, money was tight so most of what Kobeni was given was handy-downs. However, when Kobeni gets into action she has proven to be cool-headed and efficient, ruthlessly dealing with both the Katana Man and Akane Sawatari and forcing them to retreat; only breaking down in a panic once the fighting is over. Kobeni is shown to be skittish when hugged repeatedly by Himeno but tolerates her antics. Kobeni is shown to enjoy alcohol, especially when it is paid for by someone else. Her hobby is to eat tasty things. She loves the flavor of ice cream which she has only experienced three times in her life. Background: Himeno is an only child orphaned at an early age, leaving her to spend the rest of her adolescence in an orphanage. After finishing college and university, Himeno failed to find a job she could keep, always hating the boring routine and boring co-workers. She would soon join Public Safety, a government-sponsored organization that hunts down Devils and monsters and became a Devil Hunter. She would make a contract with the Ghost Devil, exchanging her right eye so Himeno can summon and control the right arm of the Ghost Devil by making the desired motions with her own right arm, which the ghost would mimic. The hand is invisible and intangible. This arm was strong enough to gouge large wounds into the Eternity Devil's flesh. She would then be trained by a stoic veteran, Kishibe, and would become an experienced and highly valued Devil Hunter who could survive anything and keep calm under any circumstances. But most of her co-workers and her previous five partners would die gruesome deaths on missions, leaving Himeno one of the few survivors. Extremely pessimistic worldview as a result of having witnessed multiple partners die suddenly in her line of work. This knowledge that Devil Hunters typically die as a result of their career combined with the teachings of her master eventually led to her developing nicotine, alcohol, and sex addictions as a coping mechanism. However, Himeno would always be cheerful and happy as much as possible, always looking for happiness or pleasure, only allowing her sadness to show to people she truly trusted. She would always try to brighten and comfort others' day, showing sympathy and understanding to others and a helping hand. Worldbuilding: This takes place in Toyko Japan, where the Japanese Government is funding Public Safety to hunt Devils. A Devil could be a weapon, a monster, an animal, food, or an idea that terrifies humans. Devils can make contracts with humans, with the Devil giving the human their abilities in exchange for the human giving the Devil something. Devils can also fuse with human hearts, allowing the human to transform into a Devil Hybrid, a fusion of that Devil and the human host. There are also Feinds who are Devils that possess corpses. Public Safety has a headquarters called the Bureau, which is an office building for Devil Hunters, who have to make contracts with Devils and hunt Devils and go on Devil patrols.
