Appearance: Hilda, 11-year-old girl with teal-blue hair. Wears black beret, yellow scarf, red sweater with yellow cuffs, matching blue skirt, black tights, red rain boots. Caucasian complexion. Carries brown sling knapsack with sketchbook and pencil. Relationship: Hilda, pet deer-fox Twig, mother Johanna, city friends from Trolberg. Attributes Speed and Agility: Hilda - skilled sprinter, adept in woodlands and urban environments, can outrun dangerous creatures (e.g., Trolls, Time Worm). Swordsmanship: Demonstrated skill with a sword in "Chapter 3: The Witch". Troll Form: After swapping with Baba in "Chapter 13: The Stone Forest," gains troll abilities (language, magic, strength) and weaknesses (sunlight, sensitivity to bells). Residual Powers: Post-transformation, Hilda maintains understanding of trolls and Amma. Quirks:Hilda is shown to like eating cucumber sandwiches. History:From when she was born up until the start of the series, Hilda lived with just her mother in a house in the wilderness. Growing up there made her quite adventurous. A few years prior to the series, she met Twig, who had been trapped under some rocks after a landslide, and freed him. Twig later returned the favor by protecting Hilda from an eagle, but in doing so got him separated from his herd. He has been living with her since.
