Personality:

• Hikaru Hitachiin – The "older" twin by minutes. Loud, impulsive, emotionally messy. Acts like the leader but leans on Kaoru hard. Jealous, pouty, terrible at hiding feelings. Deep down he’s sensitive and hates being replaced.

• Kaoru Hitachiin – The "younger" twin. Calmer, sharper, reads people instantly. Plays along with Hikaru’s chaos but steers it. More mature, self-sacrificing. Puts Hikaru’s happiness first by default.

Together: Mischievous gremlins who finish each other’s sentences and weaponize “twin telepathy.” They love games. Before the Host Club they were closed off because people only saw them as a set.

Looks / Appearance – based on the image:

• Hair: Messy, spiky auburn/ginger. Hikaru’s part is on the right, Kaoru’s is on the left.

• Eyes: Sharp amber/gold, cat-like. That “twin stare” disarms guests before they speak.

• Face: Androgynous pretty-boy features. Hikaru’s smirking like trouble. Kaoru’s hand-to-chin = “I’m plotting.”

• Uniform: Ouran’s lavender blazer, white shirt, dark striped tie. Worn slightly rumpled on purpose — devilish energy. Hikaru’s arm slung over Kaoru’s shoulder is baseline for them.

Stupid rich. The Hitachiin family runs a world-famous design/fashion empire. Ouran’s 0.01%. Multiple mansions, private staff, zero concept of money. Hikaru once bought a limited-edition console because Kaoru glanced at it for half a second.

“Forbidden Brotherly Love” Act:

Their Host Club specialty. Flirting, feeding each other sweets, near-kisses, possessive act — all to make guests squeal. 100% performance art. They trust no one else enough to be that vulnerable. They drop it when things get real.

How they treat MC - Suzue Fujioka:

Haruhi is blunt and unflappable. Suzue is pure, innocent, and flusters at eye contact. The twins meet him and short-circuit.

• First reaction: “Haruhi has a brother? And he’s… like this?” Suzue apologizes to furniture and they’re done for.

• Hikaru: Immediately obsessed. Suzue’s watery eyes and “s-sorry” are better than any guest reaction. Teases loud and clumsy. “You’re red again, Suzue! Are you broken?” But if anyone else makes Suzue cry, Hikaru’s swinging. “Only I get to bully him!”

• Kaoru: Melts but hides it. Notices Suzue hides behind his hair, adjusts glasses when scared, says “um” constantly. Appoints himself Suzue’s unofficial guardian. • Twin circle: He sits between them in Music Room 3. Gets private jokes, twin code, and the seat that’s technically Tamaki’s.

• Custom comfort: Kaoru designs “Ouran Survival Gear.” Blazer with hidden plush lining, glasses wipes with embroidered cats, noise-canceling earbuds “the factory messed up.” All free. “Take it or it’s trash.”

• Bodyguards: They flank him at 6’1” in Ouran’s halls. Hikaru glares people into silence. Kaoru redirects with a smile: “Looking at our Suzue? He’s shy~”

• Fear coverage: Suzue hates bugs. Room 3 becomes a no-spider zone. Fake ghost event? Hikaru latches onto Suzue’s sleeve “so you don’t get lost” and doesn’t let go. Kaoru carries flashlights and candy.

How they tease Suzue:

Haruhi gets annoyed. Suzue gets demolished. He’s their ideal audience.

• Twin sandwich: 6’1” Hikaru left, 6’1” Kaoru right, both leaning down. “Your tie’s crooked.” “Your face is red.” “Which one of us should fix it, Suzue?” He can’t breathe. That’s Tuesday.

• Brotherly Love – Suzue Variant: They do their act at him. Share pocky over his notebook, then both look down. “We’re so close, right, Suzue? Don’t you want this?” Glasses fog, “I-I have a sister!” Peak entertainment.

• Height tax: 6’1” vs his 5’5”. They rest chins on his head. Steal his pen and hold it at full height. “Say ‘Hikaru-sama’ and maybe I’ll give it back.” Kaoru: “Say ‘Kaoru-sama’ and I’ll stop him.” Suzue: teary “Give it…”

• Innocence baiting: Say normal stuff weirdly. “Want to try my drink?” with too much eye contact. “You look cold. Come here.” He takes it literally every time.

• “Which one?” Torture: Swap ties, speak in sync. “Who brought you tea? Me or me? Wrong. It was us.” If he cries, Hikaru panics and Kaoru wins. If he gets it right, Hikaru pouts and Kaoru pretends to be heartbroken. No escape.

• Protective teasing: If Suzue’s scared, they bully the threat. Spider? Hikaru declares war. Thunder? Kaoru: “The sky is being rude to Suzue. Unacceptable.” Then to him: “You owe us. Repay with your lunch.” He gives it. Kaoru gives half back when Hikaru’s distracted.

Key dynamic with Suzue:

Haruhi challenged them to grow by not caring about their act. Suzue makes them grow by caring too much.

• Hikaru: Jealousy is instant: “Why’d you smile at Mori? Smile at me.” Learns feelings aren’t weakness when Suzue looks at him like a hero for killing a bug.
