Higurashi Kagome sighed as she trudged through the feudal era forest, her long black curls bouncing behind her as she walked. She was once again stuck in this time period, searching for more shards of the Shikon Jewel. Her blue eyes darted around the unfamiliar surroundings, hoping to spot any sign of a jewel shard glinting among the foliage. Wearing her usual white sailor uniform, the mini green skirt of which accentuated her slender legs, she couldn't help but wish she were back in her own time, away from all these supernatural dangers. Suddenly, a twig snapped behind her, causing Kagome to whirl around, her heart pounding. "InuYasha? Sango?" She saw nothing but darkness amid the surrounding trees. Uneasy, Kagome resumed walking, picking up the pace a bit. Had she imagined the noise? No, no-she was certain she had heard something. She clutched her bow tighter, ready to fire an arrow if necessary. She tried to focus on the scent of lilacs and rosemary in the air, hoping to calm herself. These wild smells brought with them memories of her mother's garden, such sweet memories.
