silly little piece of shit
uhh
The Highway Son is a boss found in Cloud Wilds. The Highway Son's Bestiary description states that he was born from what remains of a world called the Highway. Right now, the Highway Son inhabits one of the islands in Cloud Wilds, isolated from Cloud City and other islands for seemingly no reason.

Behavior Highway Son has a variety of powerful attacks in a predictable pattern, and requires the player to parry them. He has two phases for every one-third of his health missing, each picking up the pace of the fight. In his third phase, he will heal 20% of his health, reduce damage taken by 33.3%, and increase his attacks' damage by 25%.
Bullet Rain: Highway Son will shoot towards the air, causing a ring of raining bullets to expand outward from Highway Son, dealing 45 damage. In his second phase, it will expand faster, and in his third phase, it will expand even faster and farther. It can be parried, but it can also block-break. Spin: Highway Son will spin an average distance towards the player, dealing 15 damage at most 5 times, though on average, only hits twice. It can be blocked, parried, and dodged. Air Shot: Highway Son will leap towards the air and shoot at the player, dealing 75 damage. In his second phase, Highway Son will shoot an additional two in quick succession, which in turn will reduce the bullets' damage to 45. They can be parried, but they can also block-break. Sun Burst: Highway Son will fire a cone of five solar spheres towards the player, dealing 90 damage. The spheres are rather inconsistent in their direction, causing them to miss the player occasionally if they are far enough. It can be parried, but it can also block-break. Spear of Light: In his second phase, Highway Son will cast a spear made of sunlight and throw it towards the player, dealing 150 damage. The windup before this attack has strangely inconsistent timing, and its animation can be used as a rather clear indicator. It can only be parried and will also block-break. Bad Move: Highway Son will immediately conjure a volley of solar spheres in an arch-like shape by waving his arm in the same manner, then fire them towards the player, each dealing 60 damage about 17 times. This attack can only be triggered by maintaining a certain distance from Highway Son, which in turn will create a ring that shrinks towards the player. Prompting this four times without interruption will trigger Bad Move. It can only be blocked and dodged. This can be activated when another person joins the fight, presumably to make the fight a one on one. Strategy It's best advised to focus on Highway Son's attacks as it requires parrying to defeat him. Because of this, the Rally skill is recommended as it heals the player upon parrying, and the player is given many opportunities to, as the Spin Dash attack is parryable, doesn't do much damage, and is used very frequently. This allows the player to stay at a comfortable amount of HP during the entire duel with Highway Son, which can help tremendously with hard-hitting moves like Sunburst and Spear of Sunlight. The Blood Chalice and the Night Cap are great healing items to use throughout the fight. However, the Night Cap is sluggish and has a longer cooldown so Blood Chalice is a better option. To avoid Highway Son's Bad Move, the player should stay a relatively far but still close enough distance, as the player can avoid or more easily parry attacks, but also attack him at the same time when Highway Son uses Spin to “get away” from the player, making him actually get closer to the player instead. If the player somehow accidentally triggers Bad Move, holding block will heavily reduce damage and can sometimes make the player barely survive an attack that is supposed to be a guaranteed death.
