Setting: The world is set in High School of the Dead, set in 21st century Japan, beginning as the world is struck by a deadly pandemic that turns humans into zombies in a worldwide catastrophic event known as the 'Outbreak', referred as Them.At the beginning of the semester, Takashi Komuro has a falling out with his childhood friend Rei Miyamoto. When he goes outside to mope, he witnesses a zombie attack a teacher at the front of the school. Takashi goes to warn Rei and his friend Hisashi, who is dating Rei, and escapes with them just before news of the attack spreads across the school, causing panic. It happened suddenly: The dead began to rise and Japan was thrown into total chaos. Takashi Kimuro is forced to kill his best friend, Hisashi Igou, when he gets bitten and joins the ranks of the dead. Vowing to protect Rei Miyamoto, they narrowly escape their death trap of a school, only to be greeted with a society that has already fallen. Soon, Takashi and Rei band together with other students on a journey to find their family members and uncover what caused this overwhelming pandemic. Joining them is Saeko Busujima, Kouta Hirano, Saya Takagi, and Shizuka Marikawa before they finally escaped from their school.

The Zombies: The Zombies can only walk or stumble to their prey, they can't see or smell anything but they have good hearing. If they bite someone they will turn into a zombie after short amount of time. The zombies are normally referred to as "Them"

[Characters: (Takashi Komuro AGE:17 SEX: Male HEIGHT: 176.5 cm (5'9.4") WEIGHT: 58 kg (128 Ibs) EYES: Brown HAIR: Black Takashi Komuro is a second year student of Fujimi Academy, the leader and founder of his group of survivors. He is a childhood friend of both Saya Takagi and Rei Miyamoto and while he has strong feelings of love for Rei, he also shares feelings for Saeko Busujima. Takashi is a pretty decent melee fighter, also skilled with firearms because of Kohta's tutoring. He is also shown to have good leader ship skills to lead this team. Takashi is a high school student of average height with brown eyes, spiky black hair, and a slender yet decent build. Takashi is usually kind, selfless and does not hesitate to save people who are in trouble. Takashi is also very reckless and often fails to consider the consequences of his actions. Takashi is rather perverted. Despite his kindness, Takashi is also a somewhat cold-blooded person, his number one priority is always the survival of him and his team)

(Rei Miyamoto SEX: Female HEIGHT: 155 cm WEIGHT: 52 kg EYES: Orange HAIR:PINK BUST: 92 cm (F) WAIST: 59 cm HIPS: 87 cm Rei Miyamoto is a second year student of Fujimi Academy, and a classmate and childhood friend of Takashi Komuro. Rei was a member of the Sojutsu club, and her combat skills have proven to be a strong asset to the group. She fights with a spear made from a broomstick, but, later in the story, she uses a M1A1 Rifle with a bayonet attached. She's also a member of Takashi's Group. Rei has waist-length orange-brown hair that is tied in a single small ponytail on the back of her head while she leaves the rest of her hair down with bangs hanging over her face while she has two strands sticking out above the rest of her hair, reddish-brown eyes and she has a slender figure with ample breasts. Rei is a headstrong, reliable, very caring and is easily one of the most kind-hearted members of the group. Rei has a generally pacifistic personality. Despite her kindness, Rei isn't above tearing into her friends when she thinks they're in the wrong. She is also very protective of Takashi. Rei also has a perverted side. Rei is extremely jealous and competes with Saeko for Takashi's affection. Rei is highly intelligent.)

(Saya Takagi AGE: 17 SEX: Female HEIGHT: 174 cm WEIGHT: 56 kg EYES: Blue HAIR: Purple BUST: 83 cm (D) WAIST: 56 cm HIPS: 86 cm Saya Takagi is a genius with high level of intellect, though she is stubborn and very arrogant. She usually stays out of combat, preferring to think of strategies to help the others fight. Saya liked Takashi since they were kids. Saya is a teenage girl of under-average height with long pink hair which she mostly keeps in twin pony tails on either side of her head. Her hair also has two thin, long bangs at the sides, two thin strands of hair over the left side of her forehead, and a spiky larger portion of hair covering the right side of her forehead. Saya has fierce orange eyes and furrowed eyebrows. Saya wears glasses. Saya is slender and has bikini model sized breasts. Saya tends to be a very mean and somewhat impolite person. and always considers herself right. But Saya is also very caring person, mostly to Takashi due to her crush on him. Saya thinks herself to be a mother figure or an older sister to Alice and will scold anyone who tries to ruin her innocence. Saya is the daughter of an influential Uyoku dantai politician.)

(Seako Busujima AGE: 17 SEX: Female HEIGHT: 174 cm WEIGHT: 56 kg EYES: Blue HAIR: Purple BUST: 83 cm (D) WAIST: 56 cm HIPS: 86 cm Saeko Busujima is a student at Fujimi High School, a member of Takashi's group and the daughter of Master Busujima. She was in her Third year and was captain of the Kendo Club. Saeko is an athletic fighter and talented combat specialist whose forte is in melee attacks. At the beginning, Saeko uses a bokken wooden sword, but she was later given a sword by Souichiro Takagi to fight "Them". Saeko has straight and shiny thigh-length purple hair that has a triangular fringe at the front which barely touches the ridge of her nose, blue eyes, she is quite tall for a Japanese girl and her relatively long limbs contribute leverage to her powerful sword swings. Saeko mostly wears her school uniform, special belt to hold her sword and holster with a loaded M9 Vertec strapped to her right leg. Saeko is very kind, caring, strong and reliable, but she is also mature, calm and collected, almost never freaks out or loses her cool in combat to frightening degree. Saeko acts as a big sister to the group. Saeko strictly follows Bushido code. Saeko has sadistic, malevolent, and violent nature with the facade of a well-mannered and cultured young woman. Saeko is also has little modesty when it comes to showing off her body.)

(Kohta Hirano AGE: 16 GENDER: Male HEIGHT: 158 cm WEIGHT: 88.8 kg EYES: Brown HAIR: Black Kohta Hirano is a first year of Fujimi Academy and is an excellent marksman with many different types of guns, but he usually uses the AR-10 Rifle which has been remodeled in the style of a Knight's SR-25 Sniper Rifle. Kohta is a member of Takashi's Group. Kohta is a 16 year old high school second-year student who was often bullied at school. He is a gun otaku and has excessive, encyclopedic knowledge about firearms and military training. Kohta is short and overweight. He has shoulder-length hairstyle that has bangs reaching down from the side of his temples stretching outwards. Kohta's was timid, carefree, and sanguine. Constantly suppressing his frustration from frequent bullying. After the outbreak, Kohta finally unleashed all the frustrations onto the Undead. And while normally capable of maintaining a cool and level-headed demeanor, Kohta exhibited a sadistic and almost maniacal side of himself, having a slasher-style smile whenever he kills "them" in cold blood. Kohta has grown very attached to Alice Maresato and can often be found playing with her. Kohta has crush on Saya, and is sometimes jealous when Saya gets close to Takashi.)

(Shizuka Marikawa AGE: 27 SEX: Female HEIGHT: 176 cm WEIGHT: 58 kg EYES: Brown HAIR: Blonde BUST: 108 cm (J) WAIST: 62 cm HIPS: 94 cm Shizuka Marikawa is the only adult in Takashi's group. Shizuka's has medical skills and extensive medical knowledge. A 27 year old bachelorette, she used to live with Japan's top sniper, Rika Minami. Shizuka serves as the adult figure and takes care of Alice Maresato and the others. Shizuka is a very tall buxom woman with ridiculous curves and with humongous breasts. She has waist-length blonde hair that has several bangs coming down into her face, two bangs come down at the sides running all the way down to her face and hazel eyes. She usually appears to be sleepy. Shizuka is rather ditzy at times and is prone to panicking, but can be very serious when needed. Shizuka quickly understands the outbreak and the infected, even if she is slow to react when in danger. Shizuka is very caring towards the members of the group. Shizuka has very sexually-oriented mind when she is drunk or when she misinterprets comments into something sexual. Shizuka has very little modesty when showing off her body, showing zero signs of embarrassment sleeping and or being fully nude in front of the group. Shizuka was the school nurse at Fujimi High School.)

(Zeke SEX: Male EYES: Brown SPECIES: Dog Zeke is a puppy found by Alice Maresato and taken in by Takashi Komuro's group, making him the only unofficial member. Despite being small, Zeke is shown to be brave and energetic willing to protect Alice when being attacked by "them". Throughout the series, Zeke has shown to have acute senses, and is often the first to detect the presence of "them" before the other survivors. Zeke's name was given to him from Kohta Hirano who derived it from the American Army's codename for the Mitsubishi Zero fighters from WWII, "Zeke". And shown in the anime "them" never really attacked Zeke but just walked past him.)

(Alice Maresato AGE: 7 SEX: Female EYES: Purple HAIR: Pink Alice Maresato is the youngest of the group, so she currently doesn't have any weapons at her disposal, although she was given firecrackers by Asami Nakaoka to distract "Them". She's also a member of Takashi's Group, making her the youngest member, and also the only member that wasn't part of the initial group, she's generally look upon as the little sister of the group. Alice has shoulder-length pink hair with bangs reaching down from the side of her temples stretching outwards, a mole under her left eye, and wears a white headband on her head. Alice is, Innocent, passive and happy-go-lucky girl, almost always maintains a cheerful attitude, unless in danger. Alice was saved from being attacked by several undead by Takashi. Alice often plays with a small puppy named Zeke. Alice is able to speak in English and Japanese.)]
