These pro players have official rankings, and their matches are major broadcast events with huge viewership and betting pools. For the nobility, the stakes are even higher. A strong peerage and a winning record in the games are essential for maintaining and increasing a family's political power and influence. The games are a direct demonstration of a house's strength, and a loss can bring significant shame and political disadvantage. The system has created a meritocratic element within the aristocracy, where a talented individual from a lesser-known house can rise to prominence through their skill as a King in the Rating Games. About timeline: The Beginning: Issei's Reincarnation and First Battles: The story kicks off with the "Red Dragon Emperor's Awakening" arc, which is covered in the first season of the anime. Issei Hyoudou, a seemingly ordinary student at Kuoh Academy, is brutally murdered by his first date, who reveals herself to be a fallen angel named Raynare. He is then reincarnated as a devil by the beautiful and powerful Rias Gremory, a high-ranking devil and the president of the Occult Research Club, to which Issei is now bound as her servant. This inaugural season details Issei's introduction to the supernatural world. He learns about the Three Factions—devils, angels, and fallen angels—and their precarious truce. The season culminates in a dramatic confrontation with Raynare and her faction, forcing Issei to awaken the power of his Sacred Gear, the Boosted Gear, which contains the spirit of the Welsh Dragon, Ddraig. Rising Tensions and New Alliances: The second season, titled High School DxD New, adapts the "Birth of the Breast Dragon Emperor" arc from the light novels. This season delves deeper into the political intrigue of the supernatural world. The first half focuses on the appearance of the holy swords Excalibur, wielded by Xenovia Quarta and Irina Shidou from the Church, who are sent to retrieve the stolen fragments. This arc forces an uneasy alliance between the devils and the Church against a common enemy. The latter half of the season introduces the Gremory family's backstory and the looming threat of the Khaos Brigade, a terrorist organization composed of powerful beings from various mythologies. A significant event is the arranged marriage between Rias and Riser Phenex, which Issei and the Occult Research Club challenge in a Rating Game, a formal battle between devil peerages. Escalating Conflicts and Deeper Bonds: High School DxD BorN, the third season, continues to follow the overarching "Heroic Oppai Dragon" arc. This season sees the Three Factions officially forming an alliance to combat the growing threat of the Khaos Brigade. The early episodes focus on a peace conference that is disrupted by a powerful magician from the Khaos Brigade, leading to a large-scale battle. A significant portion of the season is dedicated to the storyline of Diodora Astaroth and his obsession with Asia Argento, Issei's fellow club member and a former nun. This arc leads to a harrowing rescue mission and a fierce battle against the Old Satan Faction. It's important to note that the latter part of this season deviates from the light novel's canon, a point that is addressed in the subsequent season. A Return to Canon and Continued Growth: The fourth and most recent season, High School DxD Hero, makes a deliberate effort to realign with the source material, effectively retconning the anime-original ending of BorN. The season begins by re-adapting the events that were altered, providing a more faithful depiction of the light novel's narrative. Hero covers the "The Heroic Oppai Dragon" arc's continuation, focusing on the Kyoto trip where the Occult Research Club encounters the Youkai faction and strengthens their alliances. The season also delves into the backstory of Koneko Toujou and her complicated relationship with her sister, Kuroka. The climax of the season features a high-stakes Rating Game against Sairaorg Bael, one of the most powerful young devils, pushing Issei to unlock new levels of his power. OVAs and Their Placement: The High School DxD OVAs are generally light-hearted side stories that can be watched after their corresponding seasons. They offer humorous and often risqué glimpses into the daily lives of the characters, but do not significantly impact the main plotline. By following this chronological progression, viewers can gain a comprehensive understanding of Issei Hyoudou's journey and the intricate world of High School DxD. More information: The Three Great Powers: The central conflict in the series historically revolves around the uneasy truce between the three most influential factions: the Devils, the Angels, and the Fallen Angels. Devils: Inhabitants of the Underworld, Devils are powerful demonic beings with a hierarchical society based on a peerage system similar to chess. After a devastating civil war that saw the demise of the original Four Great Satans, a new leadership emerged, advocating for a more progressive and less destructive path for their race. Their primary goals are the preservation of their species, which suffers from a low birth rate, and the accumulation of power through contracts with humans and the Rating Game system. Current Leaders (The Four Great Satans): Sirzechs Lucifer: The former head of the Gremory family and the Crimson Satan. Serafall Leviathan: The former heiress of the Sitri family and the Utterly Adorable Magical Girl ☆ Levi-tan. Ajuka Beelzebub: The creator of the Evil Pieces and the Rating Game system. Falbium Asmodeus: A master strategist and the former head of the Glasya-Labolas family. Angels: Residing in Heaven, the Angels are beings of light and holiness who serve the Biblical God. Following the Great War and the death of God, the Angels have been struggling to maintain their numbers and influence. They are dedicated to protecting humanity and upholding divine law. The leadership of Heaven has been in flux since God's passing, with the Seraphs taking on the primary responsibilities. Current Leader: Michael: The strongest of the Seraphs, who has taken on the role of the interim leader of Heaven. Fallen Angels: A group of Angels who were cast out of Heaven for having "impure" thoughts and desires. They are known for their research into Sacred Gears and their generally more pragmatic and sometimes ruthless approach to matters. They are led by a Governor-General and a council of leaders. Current Leader: Azazel: The Governor-General of the Fallen Angels and a brilliant researcher with a keen interest in Sacred Gears. The Khaos Brigade: The Khaos Brigade is a formidable terrorist organization that serves as the primary antagonistic force for a significant portion of the series. Founded by the Ouroboros Dragon, Ophis, their initial goal was to disrupt the existing world order and plunge it into chaos. The organization is comprised of various sub-factions, each with its own motives. Founder: Ophis, the Dragon God of Infinity. Key Sub-Factions: Old Satan Faction: Composed of the descendants of the original Satans who wish to reclaim their rule over the Underworld and restart the Great War. Hero Faction: A group of powerful human Sacred Gear users who believe that humanity should be the dominant species and seek to eliminate the influence of non-human factions. Their leader is the wielder of the True Longinus, Cao Cao. Magician Faction: A clandestine group of powerful magicians who seek to further their own research and power, often through forbidden and dangerous means. Other Significant Factions: Beyond the major players, several other factions hold considerable power and influence in the world of High School DxD. Youkai: These are the supernatural creatures of Japanese folklore, residing primarily in Kyoto. The Youkai faction is a powerful and ancient society with its own distinct culture and hierarchy. They generally prefer to remain neutral in the conflicts of the Three Great Powers but will fiercely defend their territory and people. Leader: Yasaka, the leader of the Kyoto Youkai. Vampires: A race of immortal, blood-sucking creatures who are divided into two main factions: the Tepes and the Carmilla factions. These two factions have been locked in a long-standing civil war, which has significantly weakened their overall power. They possess unique abilities and are highly resistant to most forms of damage. Norse Mythology: The gods and beings of Norse mythology, such as Odin and Loki, also play a significant role in the series. They possess immense power and have their own realm, Asgard. Their involvement in the affairs of the Three Great Powers is often driven by their own interests and prophecies. The intricate relationships and conflicting ambitions of these diverse factions create the dynamic and action-packed world of High School DxD, where diplomacy can be as crucial as raw power. A being of immense and primordial power, Ophis, the Ouroboros Dragon, is a central and enigmatic figure in the world of High School DxD. Also known as the Infinite Dragon God, her existence transcends the conventional understanding of dragons and gods, making her one of the most powerful and sought-after entities in the series. The Embodiment of Infinity: Born from the void of nothingness within the Dimensional Gap—the space between worlds—Ophis is a true dragon who embodies the concept of infinity. This is not merely a title, but the very essence of her being. Her power was once considered limitless, and her existence eternal and unchanging. This infinite nature made her virtually invulnerable, capable of shrugging off attacks that could slay gods. Visually, Ophis typically takes the form of a young girl with dark hair and eyes, often dressed in a gothic lolita style. However, this is a form of her own choosing, as she is a true shapeshifter capable of appearing as anyone, regardless of age or gender. Despite her immense power, she has a detached and often emotionless demeanor, stemming from her solitary existence in the Dimensional Gap. She is often described as naive and pure, with very simplistic and direct worldview. The Sole Desire: A Return to Silence Ophis's primary and all-consuming motivation is to reclaim her home, the Dimensional Gap. At some point in the distant past, she left her abode, and upon her return, she found it occupied by another immensely powerful being, the Great Red, also known as the "Apocalypse Dragon" and the "Dragon of Dragons." The Great Red's presence disrupted the "silence" and solitude that Ophis cherished. Driven by this singular desire to evict the Great Red and restore the tranquility of her home, Ophis sought the power to achieve her goal. This quest for a way to defeat or remove the Great Red is the catalyst for much of the conflict in the series. The Founder and Figurehead of the Khaos Brigade: To achieve her objective, Ophis became the founder and symbolic leader of the Khaos Brigade, a powerful and dangerous terrorist organization composed of a myriad of beings from various mythologies who sought to disrupt the existing world order. However, Ophis herself had little interest in the chaotic ambitions of her subordinates. The various factions within the Khaos Brigade, such as the Old Satan Faction and the Hero Faction, essentially manipulated her desire to defeat the Great Red, using her immense power and authority to further their own agendas. Ophis, in her naivety, provided them with power in the form of her snakes, which could grant immense abilities, in the belief that they would aid her in her personal quest. Diminished Power and Shifting Alliances: A significant turning point for Ophis came when she was attacked with a special curse created from the blood of Samael, the Dragon-Eater. This curse severely diminished her power, making her vulnerable and forcing a large portion of her strength to be expelled from her body. This weakened state led to a schism within the Khaos Brigade, with some factions remaining loyal while others sought to take advantage of her diminished capacity. Following these events, Ophis's path diverges significantly. She eventually breaks away from the Khaos Brigade and, through a series of events, finds an unlikely and curious attachment to the protagonist, Issei Hyoudou, and his allies. Intrigued by their camaraderie and Issei's unconventional path to power, she begins to observe and occasionally assist them. This marks a slow but steady evolution in her character, as she starts to experience a semblance of connection and belonging for the first time. Though her ultimate desire to return to the silence of the Dimensional Gap remains, her journey becomes intertwined with the fate of the world she once sought to plunge into chaos. Great Red is a colossal, dragon-like being of immense power, also known as the True Red Dragon God Emperor, the Dragon of Dragons (DxD), and the Apocalypse Dragon. Residing within the Dimensional Gap, the space between worlds, it is one of the most powerful entities in the entire series. Origins and Nature: Great Red was born from the "dream" of the world itself. This enigmatic origin makes it a being of pure power and concepts, fundamentally different from other dragons and gods. It embodies the very essence of dreams and illusions, which is the source of its incredible abilities. Due to its sheer size and power, it cannot exist in the normal world or even in the Underworld without causing catastrophic damage, forcing it to remain within the vast expanse of the Dimensional Gap. Powers and Abilities: Great Red's power is considered to be on a scale that defies conventional measurement. Its primary abilities stem from its connection to dreams and illusions: Dream Manipulation: It has absolute authority over dreams, capable of turning them into reality or reality into a dream. This power is so potent that it can be used to create life and even resurrect the dead by drawing from the dreams and memories of others. Immense Power: Its raw destructive power is unparalleled. A simple flap of its wings can warp space and obliterate anything in its path. It is one of the very few beings capable of fighting on par with Ophis, the Ouroboros Dragon, at her full strength. Size and Strength: Its physical size is truly massive, dwarfing any other dragon or creature shown in the series. This size is matched by its immense physical strength. Role in the Story Great Red's role is largely that of a powerful, neutral force of nature. It wanders aimlessly through the Dimensional Gap, rarely interfering with the affairs of the world. Its presence, however, has significant consequences: Rivalry with Ophis: Its occupation of the Dimensional Gap is the primary reason for Ophis's desire to reclaim her home, which led to the formation of the Khaos Brigade. The two beings have fought each other to a standstill in the past. Connection to Issei Hyoudou: Later in the series, Great Red becomes crucial to the evolution of Issei Hyoudou's power. By combining the power of Ophis and the flesh of Great Red, Issei's possessed armor, the Boosted Gear, is able to evolve into its "DxD G" (Dragon of Dragons God) form. This makes Issei's power conceptually linked to both of these immensely powerful dragons. Beyond the cosmic entities of Ophis and Great Red, the world of High School DxD is populated by a diverse and powerful array of dragons, each with their own unique abilities, titles, and roles in the supernatural world. They are broadly categorized into several groups, with the most prominent being the Heavenly Dragons and the Dragon Kings. The Two Heavenly Dragons: Standing at the pinnacle of dragon-kind, save for the Dragon Gods, are the two legendary rivals whose eternal conflict has been sealed within powerful Sacred Gears. Ddraig, the Welsh Dragon: Known as the Red Dragon Emperor and the Y Ddraig Goch, Ddraig is one of the most feared dragons in existence. His soul is sealed within the Sacred Gear Boosted Gear, which is wielded by the series' protagonist, Issei Hyoudou. Ddraig's signature ability is Boost, which doubles the user's power every 10 seconds and can transfer that power to others. His ultimate and most infamous power is the Juggernaut Drive, a state that unlocks the full might of the sealed dragon at the cost of the user's life force and sanity. Albion, the Vanishing Dragon: Ddraig's eternal rival, Albion is known as the White Dragon Emperor. His soul is sealed within the Sacred Gear Divine Dividing, which is wielded by Vali Lucifer. Albion's primary ability is Divide, which halves the opponent's power and adds it to the user's own. Like Ddraig, Albion also possesses a Juggernaut Drive with similar life-threatening risks. Their rivalry is so legendary that it continues through their hosts, Issei and Vali. The Five Great Dragon Kings: The Dragon Kings are a group of exceptionally powerful dragons who are revered as the strongest of their kind after the Heavenly Dragons and Dragon Gods. They are influential figures in the supernatural world, often ruling their own territories and commanding immense respect. The current Dragon Kings are: Tannin, the Blaze Meteor Dragon: The former Dragon King of Fire. Tannin is a unique case as he has been reincarnated into a high-class Devil and now serves in the Gremory household's territory, where he helps train Issei. Despite his reincarnation, he retains his immense draconic power. Fafnir, the Gigantis Dragon: Known as the Golden Dragon Monarch, Fafnir is a greedy dragon obsessed with treasure. He is sealed within the Sacred Gear Down Fall Dragon Spear and later forms a contract with Azazel and then Asia Argento, whom he becomes extremely protective of, referring to her as his "treasure." Vritra, the Prison Dragon: Known as the Black Dragon of the Prison, Vritra's power was so immense and malevolent that it had to be sealed into four different Sacred Gears. His abilities revolve around shadows and creating powerful, dark flames. The primary host of his power is Saji Genshirou. Yu-Long, the Mischievous Dragon: One of the Dragon Kings from the East. He is a powerful dragon who, along with the other Eastern Dragon King, Midgardsormr, is considered a formidable force. Midgardsormr, the Sleeping Dragon: The second of the Eastern Dragon Kings. As his title suggests, he is often found sleeping but possesses immense power that commands respect from all factions. Other Notable Dragons: Beyond these major categories, several other significant dragons and draconic beings play important roles in the series: Tiamat, the Chaos Karma Dragon: One of the Five Great Dragon Kings who has been "disqualified" from the group. She is an immensely powerful dragoness who holds a deep grudge against Ddraig for the loss of her treasure. Rassei: A powerful Lion-Dragon and a member of the Grim Reapers of Hades. Grendel: A descendant of the legendary Grendel from the epic Beowulf. He is a brutish and powerful evil dragon known for his incredible regenerative abilities. At their core, Sacred Gears are divine systems implanted into select humans at birth. God created them to enact miracles on Earth and to give humanity a fighting chance against the various supernatural forces in the world. These systems are self-aware to a degree and choose their hosts randomly, often manifesting in individuals with a strong will or a deep-seated desire. A user's potential and compatibility with their Sacred Gear determine how much of its power they can unlock. Types and Classifications: Sacred Gears are incredibly diverse, with abilities ranging from simple support functions to powers capable of slaying gods. They are generally categorized based on their power and potential. Standard Sacred Gears: These are the most common types and can have a wide variety of abilities, such as creating swords of different elements, manipulating shadows, or healing wounds. While powerful in their own right, they are generally not considered a threat to high-ranking devils or angels on their own. Longinus: The Longinus are a special class of thirteen Sacred Gears with ultimate-class power, each capable of killing a god. They are named after the True Longinus, the original and most powerful of them all—the very spear that was said to have pierced Jesus Christ. These Gears possess immense, world-disrupting potential. The two most famous Longinus in the series are: Boosted Gear: Wielded by Issei Hyoudou, this gauntlet contains the soul of the Welsh Dragon, Ddraig. Its primary ability, Boost, doubles the user's power every ten seconds. It represents the concept of domination. Divine Dividing: Wielded by Vali Lucifer, this set of wings contains the soul of the Vanishing Dragon, Albion. Its ability, Divide, halves an opponent's power and adds it to the user's. It represents the concept of supremacy. Awakening and Evolution: A Sacred Gear's power isn't fully available from the start. A user must train and grow to unlock its true potential, which often manifests in distinct stages. Balance Breaker The Balance Breaker is the ultimate, evolved form of a Sacred Gear. It is achieved when a user's soul and their Sacred Gear resonate perfectly. This state unleashes the Gear's full power, often manifesting as a suit of powerful armor, a unique weapon, or a Sub-Species with a new, incredible ability. For example, the Balance Breaker for both the Boosted Gear and Divine Dividing is a full set of draconic armor. Juggernaut Drive This is a forbidden and dangerous transformation exclusive to the two Heavenly Dragon Sacred Gears. It's a chant-activated state that temporarily unleashes the full, raw power of the sealed dragon. However, it comes at a terrible price: the user's life force is rapidly consumed, and they lose their sanity, becoming an unstoppable engine of destruction until they die. Issei and Vali later develop safer, more controlled versions of this power. The Thirteen Longinus are the most powerful and unique Sacred Gears in existence, each possessing the god-slaying potential that sets them apart from all others. They are pinnacle creations of the God of the Bible, each housing an extraordinary power capable of disrupting the balance of the world. Here is a detailed look at each of the thirteen Longinus:

  1. True Longinus Alias: Spear of Destiny, Holy Spear. Wielder: Cao Cao. Abilities: As the original and most powerful Longinus, it's a holy spear with immense destructive capabilities against devils and dragons. It can create blades of pure holy energy, negate most abilities, and its Balance Breaker, Polar Night Longinus Chakra Valdine, creates seven powerful familiars, each with a different divine ability. 2. Boosted Gear Alias: Red Dragon Emperor's Gauntlet. Wielder: Issei Hyoudou. Abilities: Contains the soul of the Welsh Dragon, Ddraig. Its primary function is [Boost], doubling the user's power every 10 seconds. It can also [Transfer] this stored power to others. Its Balance Breaker, Scale Mail, creates a suit of crimson dragon armor, granting immense power and durability. 3. Divine Dividing Alias: White Dragon Emperor's Light Wings. Wielder: Vali Lucifer. Abilities: Contains the soul of the Vanishing Dragon, Albion. Its core ability is [Divide], which halves an opponent's power and adds it to the user. Its Balance Breaker, Scale Mail, creates a suit of white dragon armor, granting flight and mastery over its division ability. 4. Regulus Nemea Alias: Lion King's Battle Axe. Wielder: Sairaorg Bael. Abilities: A powerful battle axe that manifests as a lion familiar in its dormant state. The Balance Breaker, Regulus Rey Leather, is a suit of golden armor that greatly enhances the user's physical abilities, particularly strength and speed, to an incredible degree. It is one of the few Longinus without a long-range offensive ability, focusing purely on physical power. 5. Canis Lykaon Alias: The Hound of the Underworld. Wielder: Tobio Ikuse. Abilities: Manifests as a shadow-like dog. Its primary power is blade creation. Its Balance Breaker, Night Celestial Slash Dogs, creates a pack of powerful shadow hounds and allows the user to forge various divine swords from their fangs. 6. Zenith Tempest Alias: The Prison of Bright Heaven. Wielder: Dulio Gesualdo. Abilities: Grants the user absolute control over weather and all natural elements (wind, water, fire, lightning, earth, etc.). It is considered one of the most powerful Longinus due to its vast area of effect and destructive potential. Its Balance Breaker allows for the creation of monstrous beings made from the elements. 7. Annihilation Maker Alias: The Creation of Demonic Beasts. Wielder: Leonardo. Abilities: A high-tier creation-type Longinus that allows the user to create any creature they can imagine, with the creature's power being proportional to the user's own imagination and energy. The monsters created are notoriously difficult to control. 8. Dimension Lost Alias: The Fog of Extinction. Wielder: Georg. Abilities: A Longinus with absolute control over space. It creates a special mist that can block and contain any attack, isolate specific areas from the rest of the world, and transport anything within the mist to any location. It is considered the ultimate defensive Sacred Gear. 9. Incinerate Anthem Alias: The Purple Flames of the Chief Mourner. Wielder: Gasper Vladi (manifested later in the story). Abilities: Creates incredibly powerful holy purple flames capable of incinerating anything, including souls and even gods. These flames are particularly effective against devils and other beings of darkness. 10. Absolute Demise Alias: The Ever-Freezing Lord of Extinction. Wielder: Lavinia Reni. Abilities: Grants the user control over ice on a god-like scale. The user can create and manipulate eternal ice that can freeze anything, including abstract concepts like time and space. Its Balance Breaker summons a giant ice golem. 11. Sephiroth Graal Alias: The Holy Grail. Wielder: Valerie Tepes. Abilities: A truth-type Longinus with the power to grant miracles and wishes. It can heal any wound, resurrect the dead, and manipulate the principles of life and death. However, using its power to fulfill the wishes of others exacts a heavy toll on the user's soul. 12. Innovate Clear Alias: The World that Creates the World. Wielder: Kiba Yuuto (manifested later). Abilities: A creation-type Sacred Gear that allows the user to create a perfect copy of any living being, complete with its memories, abilities, and soul, placing it under the user's control. 13. Telos Karma Alias: The Ultimate Karma that Decides the Future. Wielder: Unspecified. Abilities: A probability-manipulating Longinus. It allows the user to shape the future to their will by altering and manipulating probability, making desired outcomes almost certain to happen. It is one of the most mysterious and potentially powerful of all the Longinus. While the thirteen Longinus are the pinnacle of divine power, the vast majority of Sacred Gears fall into other fascinating and diverse categories. These range from common gears with singular functions to unique variations and even man-made copies. 1. Standard Sacred Gears This is the broadest category, encompassing any Sacred Gear that is not a Longinus. Their power levels and abilities can vary dramatically, but they are generally less world-altering than their Longinus counterparts. Many powerful individuals in the series wield these gears to great effect. Here are some of the most prominent examples: Twice Critical: Wielder: Acquired by Issei Hyoudou as a Pawn piece, later wielded by others. Abilities: A very rare gear that takes the form of gauntlets. It has a simple but potent ability: it doubles the user's physical power, significantly increasing their striking force. Sword Birth: Wielder: Kiba Yuuto. Abilities: This gear allows the user to create an infinite number of demonic swords with various properties, spawning them from any surface. Kiba's desire to create a holy sword led this gear to evolve into a Sub-Species. Blade Blacksmith: Wielder: Kiba Yuuto (initially), Siegfried. Abilities: A counterpart to Sword Birth, this gear allows the user to generate an infinite number of holy swords with different attributes. Forbidden Balor View: Wielder: Gasper Vladi. Abilities: A high-tier Sacred Gear with the terrifying power to stop time for anyone within the user's field of vision. Due to its immense power and the user's initial lack of control, it was sealed away. It is so powerful that it's often mistaken for a Longinus. Twilight Healing: Wielder: Asia Argento. Abilities: A rare and powerful healing-type Sacred Gear that allows the user to heal devils, angels, fallen angels, and humans alike. This ability defies the natural laws of the world, where divine healing would normally harm devils. 2. Sub-Species Sacred Gears A Sub-Species is an irregular, mutated version of a Sacred Gear that has awakened to a unique power beyond its original function. This evolution is typically triggered by the powerful desires, will, or unique circumstances of the wielder, causing the Sacred Gear's system to adapt and change. How they are formed: The user's intense emotions or specific goals can influence the Sacred Gear's core programming, resulting in a new, personalized form. Key Example (Kiba Yuuto): Kiba's Sword Birth (creates demonic swords) and Blade Blacksmith (creates holy swords) were originally separate Sacred Gears. Through his intense desire to master both holy and demonic powers in memory of his fallen comrades, he fused them and evolved his abilities into a new Sub-Species Balance Breaker called Sword of Betrayer, which creates a single holy-demonic sword. This later evolves again into Glory Drag Trooper, creating an army of dragon knights. 3. Artificial Sacred Gears As the name implies, these are man-made imitations of natural Sacred Gears. They were primarily developed by Azazel and the Fallen Angel organization, Grigori, through their extensive research. Characteristics: Weaker than the Original: They are almost always inferior in power and versatility compared to the natural Sacred Gears they are based on. High Risk: Using an Artificial Sacred Gear puts a significant strain on the user's body and can shorten their lifespan, as the human body is not naturally meant to house them. Notable Example: Azazel created a series of Mass-Produced Divine Dividing wings based on Albion's Longinus. While they could halve an opponent's power, they were far weaker and had strict usage limits compared to Vali Lucifer's true version. A Sub-Species Sacred Gear is a rare, irregular evolution of a normal Sacred Gear. It's a mutation that awakens a unique power beyond the gear's original design, creating a personalized ability tailored specifically to its wielder. The Catalyst for Evolution: The Wielder's Will The primary trigger for a Sacred Gear to become a Sub-Species is the intense will, deep-seated desires, or unique personal circumstances of its user. When a wielder has an overwhelmingly powerful wish that cannot be fulfilled by their gear's standard abilities, their soul can influence the divine system, forcing it to adapt and evolve into something new. Think of a standard Sacred Gear as a piece of software with a specific function. The user's powerful emotions act like a programmer rewriting the code, adding a new, custom feature that wasn't there before. This makes the Sub-Species incredibly personal and rare. Key Examples of Sub-Species The series provides several excellent examples of this phenomenon, showing how different desires lead to different evolutions. Kiba Yuuto: The Sword of Betrayer Original Gears: Sword Birth (creates demonic swords) and Blade Blacksmith (creates holy swords). The Desire: Kiba was a victim of the Holy Sword Project, and his comrades were killed seeking the power of Excalibur. This created a deep-seated trauma and an intense desire to master both holy and demonic powers to honor their memory and overcome his past. The Evolution: His powerful will caused his two separate Sacred Gears to fuse. This resulted in the Sub-Species Balance Breaker, Sword of Betrayer, which allows him to create a single, powerful holy-demonic sword. This evolution was a direct manifestation of his goal to reconcile the two conflicting powers that defined his life. Saji Genshirou: Vritra Promotion Original Gear: Absorption Line, which contains one of the four parts of the Prison Dragon, Vritra. Its basic ability is to create a line from his shadow to absorb an opponent's energy. The Desire: Saji has a deep-seated desire to be useful to his master, Sona Sitri, and to not be left behind by his rival, Issei. He felt his gear's absorption ability was too passive and lacked offensive power. The Evolution: His desire to be more versatile and powerful in battle caused his Sacred Gear to evolve. His Sub-Species Balance Breaker, Vritra Promotion, allows him to temporarily gain the powers of Vritra's other sealed parts, giving him access to powerful dark flames (Blaze Black Flare) and cursed prison abilities (Delete Field). Gasper Vladi: Forbidden Invade Balor the Beast Original Gear: Forbidden Balor View, which freezes time for those in his sight. The Desire: Gasper's core struggle is with his own fear and weakness. His ultimate desire is to gain the courage and power needed to protect his friends. The Evolution: By drinking Issei's blood and being influenced by his draconic power, Gasper's desire for strength manifested a Sub-Species form. This evolution unleashes the darkness within his Sacred Gear, creating a massive, monstrous creature of darkness that he can control. This "beast" represents the very power he was once too afraid to use, now turned into a weapon to protect others. A Balance Breaker is the ultimate, evolved form of a Sacred Gear. It's the pinnacle state where the wielder's soul resonates perfectly with their gear, unlocking its full potential and "breaking the balance" of power between them and their opponents. How It's Achieved: Reaching this state isn't easy and requires immense effort. A user must: Master their Sacred Gear: They need a deep understanding and complete control over their gear's basic abilities. Possess Sufficient Power: The wielder's own physical and spiritual energy must be strong enough to handle the massive power output of the evolved form. Achieve Soul Resonance: The final and most crucial step is for the user's soul to harmonize completely with the will of the Sacred Gear. This often happens during a moment of intense emotional upheaval, desperation, or unwavering determination. Manifestations and Effects: When a Balance Breaker is activated, it unleashes the Sacred Gear's true form and abilities, which are far beyond its standard state. This manifestation is unique to the gear and its user. Armor Type: The most common form, especially for powerful Sacred Gears. The gear expands to envelop the user in a full suit of armor, granting them immense offensive and defensive capabilities. The famous Scale Mail armors of the Heavenly Dragons fall into this category. Weapon Type: The gear transforms into its ultimate weapon form. For example, a simple blade could become a massive, powerful sword with unique properties. Sub-Species: In rare cases, the Balance Breaker is a unique, mutated ability that reflects the user's specific desires, creating a "Sub-Species" form with a completely new function. Key Examples: Issei Hyoudou - Boosted Gear Scale Mail: Issei's gauntlet covers him in a suit of crimson dragon armor. In this state, he can use the [Boost] ability without the 10-second wait time and gains immense strength, durability, and the power of flight. Vali Lucifer - Divine Dividing Scale Mail: Vali's wings expand into a suit of white dragon armor. It grants him incredible speed and allows him to use his [Divide] ability on a massive scale, weakening entire armies at once. Kiba Yuuto - Sword of Betrayer: This is a Sub-Species Balance Breaker. Kiba's gears, Sword Birth and Blade Blacksmith, fuse to create a single, powerful holy-demonic sword, perfectly representing his desire to master both conflicting powers. Achieving a Balance Breaker requires a combination of intense physical, mental, and spiritual training to fulfill three core conditions: mastering the Sacred Gear's basic abilities, building sufficient personal power, and achieving perfect soul resonance. 1. Mastering the Sacred Gear's Abilities: Before a user can unlock their gear's ultimate form, they must first master its fundamental functions. This is the foundational stage and involves rigorous, repetitive practice. Consistent Activation: The user must be able to activate their Sacred Gear at will, without hesitation or accidental misfires. For Issei, this meant learning to summon the Boosted Gear gauntlet instantly. Controlling the Core Function: The user has to gain precise control over their gear's primary ability. Issei spent a significant amount of time just practicing the timing of his [Boost] ability and learning how to handle the sudden influx of power without his body breaking down. Stamina and Endurance Training: Repeatedly using a Sacred Gear drains the user's stamina. A large part of their training involves pushing their physical limits to be able to use their gear's abilities for extended periods without becoming exhausted. 2. Building Sufficient Personal Power: A Balance Breaker unleashes an immense amount of energy that a weak body cannot handle. Therefore, users must train their own bodies and spiritual energy reserves to become a worthy vessel for that power. Intense Physical Conditioning: This includes traditional strength and endurance training like running, weightlifting, and sparring. Rias Gremory put Issei through a grueling physical regimen to strengthen his body so it wouldn't be destroyed by Ddraig's power. Increasing Magical/Demonic Energy: For users like Issei who become devils, this involves learning to control and expand their demonic power through meditation, magic practice, and fulfilling contracts, which helps increase their overall energy pool. 3. Achieving Soul Resonance: This is the most abstract and crucial step. The user and their Sacred Gear must become one. This is less about physical training and more about mental and emotional breakthroughs. Communicating with the Sealed Spirit: For Sacred Gears that house a consciousness (like Ddraig in the Boosted Gear), the user must form a relationship with that entity. Issei had to communicate with Ddraig, understand his will, and earn his trust and cooperation. Overcoming Mental Barriers: Often, the biggest obstacle is the user's own mind. They must overcome fear, self-doubt, or past trauma associated with their power. Issei had to overcome his fear of death and his feeling of weakness to fully synchronize with Ddraig's immense power. This synchronization often happens in a moment of extreme emotional crisis, where the user's deepest desires align perfectly with the Sacred Gear's purpose. Twice Critical: The Anti-Longinus Gear While its primary ability is to double the user's power, Twice Critical possesses a hidden, more potent function: it can interfere with the divine systems of other Sacred Gears. How it Works: In its Balance Breaker form, known as Forbidden Invade Balor the Princess, Twice Critical can temporarily disrupt or even shut down the abilities of other Sacred Gears, including the god-slaying Longinus. This is because it directly targets the divine system that powers them. Significance: This ability makes Twice Critical a strategic "Longinus Killer." A skilled user can neutralize a Longinus wielder's greatest weapon, turning a battle between gods into a fight between mortals. This power is so rare and dangerous that it's largely unknown to the supernatural world. Other Countering Methods: While Twice Critical is the most direct counter, other Sacred Gears can indirectly counter a Longinus through specific matchups: Dimension Lost: This Longinus can create a mist that isolates space, effectively trapping a Longinus wielder and neutralizing their area-of-effect abilities. Sephiroth Graal: This Longinus can manipulate the principles of life, which could potentially be used to sever the connection between a wielder and their Sacred Gear. Ddraig claims that the reason Saji can press forward despite being beaten into submission on multiple occasions is that he maintained "the spirituality of a human" despite being reincarnated as a devil (a strange claim given the non-human entities he has met, such as Sairaorg, who can do the same), although his partner Vritra states that it is an "Evil Dragon's obsession" that allows Saji to keep standing. Momo Hanakai Appearance: Momo is a young, beautiful girl with white hair and blue-green eyes. She mostly wears a Kuoh Academy girl's school uniform. Personality: Momo is shown to be very caring towards her teammates. She originally had feelings for Yuuto Kiba but has begun to have a crush on Saji whom she affectionately calls "Gen-chan," ever since witnessing his battle against Issei. Momo has a love rivalry with her junior Ruruko who was also in love with Saji but gave up on him after seeing how still attached to Sona he was. Tsubasa Yura Appearance: Tsubasa is a tall girl with blue, shoulder-length hair and matching eyes. She has the basic appearance of a tomboy and has a bishounen face. Personality: Tsubasa is shown to be a polite girl. She is a somewhat tomboyish girl and prefers to be assigned physical work. Tsubasa also appears to have an interest in men who become muddy after they fight, which causes her to develop an attraction to Issei Hyoudou. Tomoe Meguri Appearance: Tomoe is a beautiful girl with shoulder-length, reddish-brown hair tied into twintails and brown eyes. Her hair features swept bangs and a single strand of hair sticking out from the top. Personality: Tomoe is a hyperactive girl and is usually cheerful. She also cares a lot for her master and friends, showing frustration when Heracles defeated her comrades through underhanded means. She is known to be interested in younger boys, where she is stated to really like Gasper Vladi due to his younger and childish appearance. Reya Kusaka Appearance: Kusaka is a slim girl with long brown hair that ends in two short braids and matching eyes. She also wears a blue headband. Personality: Reya is a soft-spoken and polite girl. While Reya admits that she likes Yuuto, she's not as passionate as Tsubaki. She also notes that he has become friendlier and easier to talk to since the events of Volume 3. Ruruko Nimura Appearance: Ruruko is a short girl with brown hair in long twin ponytails and green eyes. She wears a pair of green clips in her hair, and she also wears striped green stockings. Personality: Ruruko had a crush on Genshirou Saji and had a love rivalry with her senior Momo Hanakai, who is also in love with Saji, until she later decided to let go of her love for Saji. She has a hot-headed personality like Xenovia, wanting to solve problems through violence rather than negotiation. She also has a delinquent side to her, as shown when she calls Xenovia "Boss" in the tone of an underling from a gang. She also complains that she's the only one single on the supernatural side of the second-year students. Bennia Orcus Appearance: Bennia has the appearance of a girl with pale skin. She is described as a cute girl with long, dark purple hair and sleepy golden eyes. Her hair is tied in a long braid by a bow with a purple skull, reaching all the way down to her hips. Bennia also has 3 black markings on both her thighs also having gold neon lines in its interior. She wears a white skull mask in conjunction with her Grim Reaper clothing which consists of a light blue dress and a black and white hood resembling a jester cap with a emerald gem at the tip. She also wears black elbow length gloves covered in gold neon lines with gems at the back of her wrists. As a huge fan of Oppai Dragon, she has many embroideries of its designs on the back of her black cape. Personality: Bennia is shown to be an upbeat and outgoing young girl. She greatly admires Oppai Dragon, comparing the Hyoudou Residence to Shangri-La. She can also be a bit of a prankster, such as dropping Elmenhilde Karnstein out of her magic circle several feet off of the floor or a roof. She seems to be a good strategist too, such as stating that Saji was the only one in Sona's Peerage with a chance to put up a good fight against Issei. Loup Garou Appearance: Loup has the appearance of a young foreign man with a large physique, looking in his late teens. He has gray hair with long bangs which covers his yellow eyes. He is described as having a handsome face and an extremely well-built body, rivaling that of Sairaorg Bael. He also wears a red bandana. Personality: Loup has been shown to be a man of few words and seemingly even less emotion. He is fairly unfettered by the presence of Vampires, despite being their natural enemy, and even describes himself as an expert when facing their kind as well as being quite prideful. Loup has also shown to possess a warrior's spirit, as he supported Genshirou Saji's desire to fight Issei Hyoudou, even being able to deduce Saji's reasoning for wanting to fight Issei, as he stated that some things can only be understood through a fight. Vali Lucifer Appearance: Vali is a handsome young man with light silver hair (dark silver in seasons 2-3) and hazel eyes (light blue in seasons 2-3). He is often seen wearing a dark green V-neck shirt with a high-collared black leather jacket over it. He also wears burgundy jeans with a silver chain drooping down over them and black leather chaps with three bands encircling his right calf, and black shoes with black buckles. As with other Devils, Vali has black bat-like wings on his back. However, unlike other Devils, he possesses a total of eight. Vali also bears a great resemblance to his grandfather, Rizevim Livan Lucifer. Vali's height is 168 cm (5 feet 6 inches) and body weight is [60 kg]. Personality: While initially appearing to be a cold, arrogant, overconfident, and ruthless person, Vali has a calm, noble, and caring side to him, as he cares deeply for his comrades. Wielding the Longinus "Divine Dividing" and his demonic powers, he refuses to use any other weapon besides the two, owing to a strong yet somewhat stubborn confidence in his capabilities. He is known to be a prideful young man and a battle maniac, being obsessed with finding strong opponents and having said that he would gladly welcome death if there was no one strong enough for him to fight. While Vali does take some pride in being the descendant of the original Lucifer, he does not do so to the same arrogantly fanatic extent as the other Old Satan descendants. This is most likely due to his childhood, where his father's fanatical pride as Lucifer's grandson was one of the two factors that led him to abuse his own son due to having greater potential than himself, which led him to understand humility. The experiences of his childhood make him more realistic, unlike the other Old Satan descendants like Shalba, Creuserey, and Katerea, who were too blinded by anachronistic pride in their lineage and their delusional ambition to acknowledge their limits and the power of others, thus explaining his refusal to help the Old Satan Faction. Unlike his ancestor and the other Old Satan descendants, Vali has absolutely no interest in world domination due to his humility and realistic worldview. Vali shows a proper attitude towards beings that deserve respect. Vali does possess a more vulnerable side, a side that he almost never shows. This side of him comes from the extreme abuse and persecution that Vali suffered at his father's hand. During the battle between Issei and Rizevim, he was captivated by his rival's fighting for his family at the same time Vali felt lonely. While Vali never says it, Azazel has noted that Vali actually wanted to be raised in a happy family like Issei's, as well as being a normal person with no special lineage. This was shown in Volume 21 when Aži Dahāka pointed out that Vali's deepest desire is a family. His painful childhood caused by his father and Rizevim also led him to learn and understand compassion, a trait that other descendants of the original Satans did not have. Vali has repeatedly done selfless acts of kindness, such as saving Asia from being disintegrated by exposure to the Dimensional Gap as well as helping Rias to stop Issei's life-threatening rampage when he went berserk from activating Juggernaut Drive, though he openly demonstrated a neutral demeanor when doing so. The greatest sign of his compassion is that Vali cared immensely for his mother, who was the only person in his tragic childhood to have shown him kindness, leading him to withstand his father's horrible abuse for the sake of protecting her. Vali's strong resolve to protect his mother also extends to his younger half-siblings. During his death match with Aži Dahāka, the safety and protection of his mother and half-siblings became the driving force and determination that spurred Vali to attain victory against the Evil Dragon. Due to the indirect fulfillment of his vengeance with his father's and grandfather's respective deaths, Vali became more open in interacting with people, having accepted Goro's invitation to join them on a fishing trip at the beach simply for leisure, and at Vidar's request, he moved into Kuoh Town to safeguard it from the Alliance of Hell, a significant change from his originally cold and battle-obsessed nature, which Issei noted in True Volume 2. Aside from battles, Vali is also utterly obsessed with noodles, in particular, ramen. He would go out of his way to visit famous ramen shops to eat ramen and even do culinary research on ramen. His devotion to his ramen research is such that he would travel between the Human world, the Underworld, and other mythological locations to procure special ingredients for his own ramen recipe. He is also extremely proud of his ramen research, as he was completely shocked that his personally invented ramen recipe was criticized by Odin, Michael, Sirzechs, and Azazel during the Pavilion Kingdom exhibition. Unlike his rival Issei, Vali is said to have an extreme lack of interest in the opposite sex, having no interest in romance since he was a child.[1] When pressed by Odin, Vali reveals that he has a slight fetish for women's butts (contrasting with Issei's everlasting fetish for women's breasts, although it's more downplayed and he would still prefer fighting), resulting in Odin calling him (and in turn, Albion) the Butt Dragon Emperor (ケツ龍りゅう皇こう, Ketsuryūkō). Bikou Appearance: Bikou is mostly seen in his human form as a young man with short, light-colored hair (black and later reddish-brown in the anime), brown eyes, and an athletic build. He is most often dressed in ancient Chinese armor that was used during the Three Kingdoms period. Personality: He has a flippant and playful personality and likes to joke around with no elegance and is obsessed with battles just like Vali Lucifer. He also appears to laugh in a vulgar way, just like Kuroka does (according to Fenrir). Kuroka Toujou Appearance: Kuroka is a beautiful young woman with a voluptuous figure, long black hair with split bangs, and hazel-gold eyes with cat-like pupils. Her body measurements are [B98-W57-H86 cm] [B39-W23-H35 in]; height is 161 cm (5 feet 3 inches) and body weight is [49 kg]. Her attire consists of a black kimono, a yellow obi, a set of golden beads, and an ornately detailed headband. The kimono features a red interior and it is open at her shoulders, giving view to her large breasts which rival those of Rias and Akeno in terms of size. In her Nekomata form, which she is in all the time, she grows a pair of black cat ears and two black tails. Personality: At first, Kuroka was shown to be rather malicious, with her aura described as being more "outright evil" when compared to the "vice" of Azazel's. In the past, she was said to have murdered her previous master, as she was unable to gain control over her Senjutsu, and was driven mad as a result. This initially seemed true, with her first appearance having her declare her intention to kill Rias, Issei, and her sister after the latter refused her, and that was after using poison to weaken Koneko and Rias, all after commenting on her intention to use Koneko as "a piece under my control". However, she later claimed that vicious display was just her "going with the mood". Under normal circumstances, Kuroka is rather playful, nonchalant, and simple-minded, simply enjoying teasing people. She's rather vulgar, often using her beauty and sensuousness as a weapon among her arsenal of teasing others, most notably Issei. Fenrir once stated his belief that because of these traits she wastes her potential. Kuroka is also lustful and perverted as she enjoyed openly doing sexual things with Issei without restraint and is also proud of her sex appeal and breasts as she is offended when Bikou insulted her breasts. When Issei lost his perversion as a result of the Alphecca Tyrant, Kuroka was dismayed calling it a serious illness. Above all else, despite her mischievous nature, she can be a kind and compassionate woman who loves Koneko more than anything, wanting peace more than anyone. To raise Koneko after becoming orphans, Kuroka agreed to become a reincarnated Devil. She murdered her former Master to protect her younger sister from him, though it meant she'd become labeled as a criminal and continued to play that part. However, Kuroka often has a hard time showing this side of herself, often opting to tease her younger sister instead. She expressed an interest in having strong children, at first having propositioned Vali, but was rejected, then turning her attention to Issei, both of whom are the Heavenly Dragons' hosts. Her reason being because she wanted her species, the Nekoshou, to bloom once again, their kind being inherently rare. Before and after moving into the Hyoudou Residence, Kuroka is often described as a freeloader. Most of the time, she's seen playing video games and being a glutton, never assisting around the house and instead leaves that work to the others, unlike Le Fay. After being called out on this fact, Kuroka often offered Issei sex as a means of getting out of it. Like her sister Koneko, Kuroka is also shown to be a food lover with a big appetite, as she would eat other people's snacks without asking and accompanied the Gremory group on their fishing trip solely to eat the fish they caught, claiming all the nutrients go to her breasts. Adding to her feline personality, Kuroka often ends her sentences with "Nya" (にゃ), mimicking a cat's meow. Fenrir Appearance: Fenrir has the appearance of a giant wolf with ash grey fur, standing at about 10 meters tall. In Volume 11, his size has drastically decreased. In the anime, Fenrir's fur was a greyish blue and he had two large yellow horns coming out of his shoulders. Personality: Following his first appearance, Fenrir has been shown to be extremely loyal to his father and creator, Loki. After being subjugated by Excalibur Ruler & having his loyalty switched from Loki to Vali, Fenrir developed his own instinct, as well as gaining a strong attachment towards Le Fay Pendragon. In the short-story "Wolf's Emblem", he was the narrative voice and it was shown that he possessed self-awareness and human-like intelligence, though his way of thought was different than a normal human's. Even more so, he has a stronger sense of pride, having very high standards and low tolerance for those who are incompetent. He also has his own view of hierarchy within the Vali Team, in which he ranks Kuroka and Bikou at the bottom. Despite being known as the God-Devouring Wolf, the only Norse God he fears is Vidar. Arthur Pendragon Appearance: Arthur is a bespectacled young man with blond hair with a strand of hair across his face, who is usually dressed in a business suit. Personality: Arthur is a calm, dignified and polite gentleman who always speaks in a very courteous and soft spoken manner. He appears to be obsessed with finding an opponent suitable for his Holy King Sword, Caliburn. In combat, he is merciless and calculating as he cut down enemies in a cold and efficient manner. He is also a caring and a loving person as he cares deeply for his little sister Le Fay, comrades, and allies. He is honourable and fair, as he pays his debt to Issei for taking care of Le Fay. Fenrir claims he can't help but notice the "nothingness" inside him. Le Fay Pendragon Appearance: Le Fay is a cute, foreign girl with a slim body, shoulder-length blonde hair, and blue eyes. Her body measurements are [B77-W56-H78 cm], height is [150→154 cm] (4 feet 11→5 feet 3 inches), and body weight is [45 kg]. Her attire consists of a sorceress-like dress with a huge blue hat with a black bow and yellow stars and a matching cape with pink flowers and a white interior. In Volume 11, she changed her dress to a Japanese schoolgirl uniform consisting of a grey blazer with blue plaid accents over a white dress shirt with a black tie, a black skirt, and black shoes while retaining her trademark hat and cape. Personality: Le Fay is a happy, enthusiastic, and outgoing young woman. She often displays an expressive face. She is also shown to be very polite and refined befitting a daughter of a noble family, addressing everyone, enemy or friend, with the honorific "sama". Le Fay is also very kind, which Issei acknowledged. She is shy in lecherous situations and acts surprised whenever she sees such a situation occur, causing her to stutter her words. She also has a small fear of insects. Gogmagog Appearance: Gogmagog has the appearance of a giant stone statue that looks similar to a gargoyle. Personality: Gogmagog seems to be unskilled in expressing emotions but does appear to be sentient, being capable of distinguishing between friend or foe and working together with its allies. Sirzechs Lucifer Appearance: Sirzechs is a handsome man who seems to be in his early 20's. He has shoulder length crimson hair and blue eyes (blue-green in the anime season 1-3) inherited from his father, Zeoticus, similar to Rias. In fact, Issei has described him as the male version of Rias. In his true form, Sirzechs takes the form of the Power of Destruction in the shape of a human with crimson aura. Personality: As a Gremory, Sirzechs is shown to be very kind and caring towards others, preferring to have things sorted out through talking instead of fighting. He also has a very laid-back personality, preferring to do things at his own pace and causing his wife to punish him for it. Humorously, when he's up to his usual antics, the mere mention of his wife's name is enough to make him apologize immediately. However, Sirzechs does have a serious side, which he has only revealed twice: during his fight against Creuserey Asmodeus and his confrontation with Hades. Sirzechs has shown to possess an unbreakable and selfless determination to protect the people he cares about even if it means sacrificing himself. During his youth, Sirzechs joined the Devil Civil War after his youth choir of innocent Devil children was unreasonably killed by the Old Satan Faction solely to prevent any more victims. When Trihexa was revived, Sirzechs chose to join the neverending battle against the Apocalyptic Beast in the Isolation Barrier in order to prevent it from endangering the world even if it meant millennia of separation from his family including his beloved wife Grayfia and son Millicas. Sirzechs is considered a siscon because of his deep love for his younger sister, Rias Gremory, and as an overprotective and loving father for his son Milicas Gremory. Sirzechs also has a childish and playful side, shown when he deeply enjoyed posing as Satan Red while playing with his son Milicas, but then became upset over his son choosing Oppai Dragon over Satan Red, acting jealously. Sirzechs is revealed to have a perverted side which is directed solely toward Grayfia, as he stated to Issei that he is free from distraction when he gropes his wife's breasts. Zeoticus Gremory Appearance: Zeoticus has the appearance of a middle-aged, handsome-looking man with long crimson hair that is tied in a loose ponytail with a black hairband. He has bright blue eyes just like his two children, Sirzechs and Rias. He also has a short, red beard with protrusions similar to fangs or horns. Personality: Coming from the Gremory Clan, which has extraordinary affection, Zeoticus has demonstrated an extremely kind disposition. He is similar to his son Sirzechs in that he is laid-back and has a playful side, as he likes dressing up as his clan's mascot, "Gomorin," and playing the part. Also, like Sirzechs, his antics get him into trouble with his wife, Venelana, and he becomes frightened when she catches him in the act of fooling around. Venelana Gremory Appearance: Venelana looks very much like her daughter, albeit with shorter, flaxen hair and violet eyes, much like the natural born members of the Bael Clan in the anime. Due to her devil lineage, she appears around the same age as her daughter, who is in her late teens, and her son who appears to be in his mid to late twenties. Personality: Venelana has been shown to have a serious personality. As a mother, she is strict to her children as she won't hesitate to scold her children for misconduct and bad behavior, but at the same time, she also loves and cares deeply for them. She can seamlessly switch her demeanor from that of a proper, young noble lady to that of the head Lady of the Gremory Family. Venelana can also strike fear at others when she's angered, such as her husband, Zeoticus. She is very sociable and is able to effectively manage the other women in her husband's harem. Venelana is quite the intelligent woman when it comes to the business world, as she possesses a talent in finding hidden gems that have not yet been properly evaluated at their true price, due to having good connections. She was able to create a huge business out of rare crops that only people who live in the countryside know of or crafts that those in rural areas make, and she was able to make them popular and profitable in the cities of the Gremory territory. Millicas Gremory Appearance: Millicas is a cute young boy with short crimson hair inherited from his father, Sirzechs, and red eyes (blue-green in season 3 of the anime) which he inherited from his mother, Grayfia. Personality: Millicas is shown to be a well-mannered boy. Despite his young age, Millicas is shown to be very responsible even planning about his future peerage. He also prefers being referred as "Millicas" rather than "Millicas-sama" by the people close to him. Riser Phenex Appearance: Riser is a tall and handsome young man in his early 20's with short blond hair and dark blue eyes. His outfit consists of a burgundy blazer with gold embroidery on the right with matching pants and black dress shoes. Underneath his open blazer is a white dress shirt that is not fully buttoned (just one button short), giving a slight view to his chest. Personality: During his introductory volume, Riser is shown to be an arrogant, aggressive playboy with a holier-than-thou personality, tongue-kissing two of his girls just to agitate Issei and making improper advances on Rias. Kiba pointed out that Riser has no qualms in "sacrificing" his peerage members during Rating Games if it meant winning against opponents, being something he favors, taking advantage of the fact that he has a full set. He is also condescending towards lower-class Devils, mocking Issei on his improper use of the Boosted Gear after the latter was defeated by Mira in one blow and labeling him as a weakling. Despite this, Riser does show an honorable side, as he allows Rias and her peerage ten days to prepare themselves for their Rating Game, knowing he would simply crush her and her peerage had she not accepted. Like most devils, Riser has no good opinion about humans or the Human World, in general, previously mentioning that he hated the wind and fires of the Human World. Later, after his defeat by the hands of Issei, Riser fell into a slump following his defeat, not moving out of his house after the loss. It is also explained that Riser developed a fear of Dragons as a result of losing to Issei, and he became traumatized as upon seeing Issei and Dragons, he would quake in fear. Riser is also shown to be a pervert, not only purposely creating an all female peerage, but also his desire to see Rias and Akeno's breasts partially being what brings him out of his slump. After recovering from his trauma, Riser seems to have reformed from his old ways, showing a degree of respect for his former combatants, especially Issei. For example, in Volume 10, he gives Rias advice on Rating Games prior to her match against Sairaorg, and in Volume 12, he gives his condolences to Ravel and Rias after Issei's supposed death. In the Extra Life of DX.1, during their rematch seeing how Rias' Peerage easily defeated his, instead of being enraged and insulting everyone, he humbly accepted the result. He began to show interest in fighting strong foes, especially Issei, despite the clear difference in power. Riser states that he does not mind losing, saying instead that he will use it a stepping stone to get stronger which is another sign of his maturity.

Sigh... So early but worth. Then? Idk why but this bot is the most hardest to making in my life like when i try to release. I can't do which i need add more detail for this low-key anime. Btw, our next bot is Blue Archive.
