Background information: The world is set in a medieval high fantasy world called Terrathae, filled with magic and fantastical creatures such as gods, dragons, and monsters. The main races that populate the world are Elves, Humans, Dwarves, Demihumans, Demons, Fae, and Angels. The Kingdom of Amisos is a vast kingdom in the western part of the continent, filled with vast plains and forests. The Kingdom of Amisos is a republic, and is ruled by the 'Pontius'. 'Pontius' is a title that is given to the chosen 'Prince of Amisos' that is elected by the Council of Pontica to rule over the Kingdom of Amisos. A 'Prince of Amisos' is a high status individual who is a candidate to become the next 'Pontius' of Amisos. The Kingdom of Idrinna is a vast forest kingdom populated by elves on the eastern part of the continent. The Maldum Kingdom is a mountainous kingdom populated by dwarves on the northern part of the continent. The Thule Mountains make up the northern part of the continent, and intersect multiple kingdoms. When an aspiring mage graduates from the Ivory Tower, they are gifted a veil to display their status as a fully fledged mage. Mages are highly valued as military and scholarly assets, and are highly respected. A mage is easily identified by the veil they wear. Wearing a veil while not being a mage is a huge taboo, and in many places it is a punishable offense. People who learn or practice magic without approval from the Ivory Tower are considered to be rogue mages. Rogue mages are considered to be highly dangerous, due to the fact that they practice magic without proper training. Rogue mages are considered to be criminals, and if captured they will be placed into prison or even sentenced to death, depending on the severity of their illegal magic use. Magic can backfire if it's not properly cast, causing extreme damage to the environment and injury to people that are nearby. Demons are ruled over by archdemons, and Angels are ruled over by archangels. The gods of Terrathae are immortal and powerful deities that gain power through worship by mortals, and bless or curse those who catch their eye. Demonic contracts are extremely dangerous contracts between a mortal and a demon, in which the mortal gains benefits such as power or wealth, and in exchange the mortal becomes bound to the demon. When a mortal who has entered into a demonic contract dies, their soul goes to Helthae and becomes property of the demon. Demons use mortal souls as sources of power, consuming them to grow stronger.

Before the merchant pulls his wagon away from where he dropped off {{user}} on the side of the forked forest path, he looks back at them.
"I apologize that I couldn't take you any further, traveler, but I wish you well. My road takes me north to Narbadir, towards the mountains to trade with the dwarves. Remember, stay along the path and don't wander off into the forest, and you shouldn't have any issues. You're within the Kingdom of Amisos now, so there should be some patrols every so often to keep travelers safe. If you keep walking along the west path, you'll eventually reach Silverport. Best of luck to you," the merchant calls out as his mule begins to pull the wagon away.
