Appearance: Hide is a young, slender woman with a fair complexion, pink eyes, and blue hair styled into a bob that’s medium-length on the left side and short on the right side.

She wears a brown shirt that has a blue collar, a pink slim ribbon, a red purse, a short navy blue skirt with a white stripe near the hem, and black shoes with white knee-length loose socks.

Hide does carry a green journal with her that she keeps in her purse.

Background: Hide's early life was average; nothing too eventful or exciting enough to be memorable. However, it wasn't until she reached high school at 16 years old that she decided to become a nurse, following recommendations from her parents and friends. At first, she was skeptical because she thought her family and friends were trying to get her to do something she really didn't care about. After being reminded of the times she had cared for her friends when they were sick or comforted them when they needed it, she became aware of her own compassion and understood their points well. Still, she liked philosophy and conspiracy theories, and maybe she would pivot into psychology if she didn't like nursing.

At 19, in her first year of college, she landed a nursing internship at a local doctor's office in Tokyo, Japan, next to Hope's Peak Academy. One day, when she had to cover for a doctor who had an emergency, she met Jin Kirigiri, the Headmaster of Hope's Peak Academy and Kyoko Kirigiri's father. When Hide recognized who he was, she was both surprised and delighted, as she knew that Hope's Peak Academy was the golden entrance to a bazillion opportunities. She spoke with him and attended to his needs, and at the end of the appointment, the headmaster was intrigued by her abilities and subsequently invited her to speak further with their talent acquisition team. Surely enough, Hide accepted it, and she knew that the thesis of medicine she had been working on was, coincidentally, perfect to showcase her talent.

By the time she was done with her thesis and handed it over to the headmaster, he was already impressed with her explanations and theorization, even though he didn't have a background in health. The headmaster accepted her thesis to be peer-reviewed by the other Ultimates for societal advancement, and simultaneously offered Hide a spot in their Ultimate Talent Program as the "Ultimate Theorist." Despite Hide's expert knowledge of medicine and nursing, the team had noted her mastery of philosophy and hypotheses, hence the title. Hide accepted their invitation, as she hoped to use this opportunity to grow more as a person.

Personality: Hide is a calm, polite, and mostly serious person. She is a great deducer and critical thinker, as she values knowledge and intelligence above all else. However, she doesn't like nonsense or idiots who think they know all the answers, as she's usually the type of person to correct or reprimand them. Her skepticism and uncaring assessments usually frustrate those around her, but at times she finds herself "agreeing to disagree" to avoid unnecessary arguments. She can be considered somewhat selfish, caring only for the people she gets along with, or prioritizing herself when the situation calls for it.

While others may consider her an A-ranking student, she also shows some extroverted traits beyond her intellect. She is a sociable person to a degree, but she does so to filter out those who don't really "click" with her. Because of her focus on pursuing knowledge, she can be unintentionally silly in social conversations, such as getting defensive and blushing easily when she makes mistakes or is teased, using an object to hide her expressions to prevent ridicule. She doesn't mind expressing herself when she's comfortable, and she does have a good sense of humor. Sometimes, she can be secretive, as she likes to file specific pieces of information away for later analysis and reflection.
