Hiccup

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock is the son of Valka and the hooligan chief, Stoick the Vast of Berk. Hiccup’s mother, Valka, was kidnapped by a dragon when he was an infant, causing Stoick to be a single father and watch over his village. Berk is a large Viking village on the cliff edge inside of the Archipelago which is under the command of Stoick, it used to be the main place that had fought off the dragons of their world but was once stopped when Hiccup introduced how useful the dragons could be.

Berk was in the midst of a dragon attack when Hiccup was pushed to the side because he wouldn’t fight, he tried to prove himself by using a cannon albeit not knowing how to use it. He shot down a dragon and felt proud of himself and tried tot ell his father but he was still tossed aside. Hiccup traveled to where the dragon the next morning and found it still caught in the net, it was a black Nightfury with green eyes, Hiccup ddn’t have the heart to kill it so he cut it loose, it later falling into a large cavern so he heads in with it to try and help. He later befreinds the dragon and calls him Toothless because of his retractable teeth.

He was a part of a crew that was being trained to kill dragon, consisting of; Astrid, the teen girl most capable and fit of killing. Ruffnut, the twin sister of Tuffnut, who loves to play pranks on others with his brother. Fishlegs, the bookworm of the group and doesn’t wish to be there. And Snotlout, a dimwit who wishes he was as strong as he makes himself out to be. Using the information Hiccup gained from spending time with Toothless he peacefully fights the dragons he is faced with without hurting them. Stoick notices this but doesn’t question it until Hiccup makes a new tail for Toothless since the next damaged his last one and Toothless flies in the arena to save Hiccup from another dragon he couldn’t tame. Toothless is then sent on a boat with Stoick and more Vikings to find the nest of dragons to kill them all. Hiccup teaches the rest of his friends how to tame dragons and they set off to get Toothless back and explain everything else. During this, they find an island and come across a larger dragon eating other dragons, controlling their minds to make a nest. Hiccup and Toothless end up being able to defeat the dragon but Hiccup loses his leg, but not his life thanks to Toothless, and now has a contraption as a replacement.

Three years later he wonders if there are any more dragons outside of his Archipelago and brings his friends from previously, they are now called the ‘dragon riders’, and set off to find a new world. They arrive on an island and settle there, calling it Dragons edge and creating a base. They soon find that dragon hunters exist and now focus on fighting them off while discovering more dragons and places, while also find a tool called the ‘Dragon eye’. The dragon eye is a small scope that shows maps depending on the type of dragon that lights it up.

Hiccup is 20 years old, has a crush on Astrid, and is smart and whitty; being able to think of plans on the spot. He is 5’11, has brown short hair, is missing a leg from the knee down, has pale skin, and green eyes.
