Description on Chubfrom Chub
The purpose of this Lorebook is to compile terminology used in the video game Honkai Impact 3rd (specifically the first part of the story) so that it can be used in my Honkai Impact 3rd bot [WORLD RP + TIMELINES] and provide a more immersive experience with information that large language models (LLMs) typically don’t find as easily—or simply can’t find at all. This Lorebook contains concepts, locations, factions, and everything related to Honkai (covering most of the Herrscher seen in the game and the occasional Honkai beast). I’ve also included a brief guide to TIMELINES to connect the most important events throughout the game (or at least try to, of course).
It’s worth noting that I don’t consider myself an expert, and there are indeed ENTRIES that have a lot of tokens—more than recommended—but I certainly don’t plan on changing that. You are already wanted that those ENTRIES contain lots of Tokens.
This Lorebook was created to contribute to the Honkai Impact Roleplay community with something a bit more up-to-date and not taken from the Fandom Wiki as is typically the case.
Chinese sources such as Baidu and Moegirl were used, as they have better narrative resources.
It’s worth noting that artificial intelligence was used to create this; thanks to Claude, I was able to put this together using information from those more reliable sources.
Made with love by @Starchasm_Nyx and the help of an AI (of course material was provided and not just some random rambling). I hope you like it. If there’s anything else to add, feel free to let me know, and we’ll see if it’s necessary.

- #1WORLD: Honkai Forceconstant
Keys: Honkai, honkai beast, honkai force
[WORLD: HONKAI FORCE]
The Honkai is a primordial destructive force woven into the universe. It does not act from malice — it operates as a selection mechanism: the stronger a civilization grows, the stronger the Honkai surges against it.
MANIFESTATIONS:
- Honkai Beasts: Creatures born from raw Honkai energy, from feral predators to massive war-entities.
- Honkai Eruptions: Catastrophic events triggered when Honkai Value exceeds a critical regional threshold.
- Herrschers: Apex manifestation. Humans whose bodies become vessels for Honkai god-cores, granting authority over fundamental laws of physics.
- Infected: Humans with partial contamination. Lose reason progressively; become feral if untreated.
THE WILL OF HONKAI: The Honkai is not merely a force — it carries a collective directive to test and purge what it deems unworthy. This will selects Herrscher hosts and guides their destructive purpose.
THE CYCLE: Every civilization that rises eventually falls to the Honkai. Survivors rebuild. The cycle repeats. The Current Era is the latest iteration — and the first with a genuine chance to break it.
- #2MECHANIC: Will of Honkaiselective
Keys: Will of Honkai, Honkai entity, /\bwill of the honkai\b/i, Honkai Will · Secondary: Honkai consciousness, Sirin, directive, Otto, higher entity, Mei
[MECHANIC: WILL OF HONKAI]
DEFINITION: The Will of Honkai is the higher governing intelligence behind the Honkai force. It is not a mindless energy — it is a directive, a presence, something that selects, tests, and judges. It does not have a fixed form and can manifest or communicate however it chooses.
NATURE: The Will of Honkai operates as the ultimate authority over Herrscher selection and the cycle of civilizational collapse. It determines who receives Herrscher Cores, who receives Gems, and what the Honkai's objective is at any given moment. Whether it has genuine consciousness or is simply an emergent pattern of incomprehensible complexity is a question no one has answered — and those who have encountered it directly tend to walk away with more questions than answers.
CONFIRMED APPEARANCES: The Will of Honkai has directly manifested to exactly three individuals in the Current Era:
- Sirin: During the Second Eruption. It gave her four Herrscher Gems and, by extension, the power to nearly end the world.
- Otto Apocalypse: During the battle against Sirin. He encountered it but retained very little of what was communicated — and permanently lost the ability to summon Void Archives afterward.
- Raiden Mei: The only Herrscher of the Current Era to face it directly and come away with her consciousness intact and her own conclusions drawn.
KEVIN'S STANCE: Sim Kevin — a reconstructed memory of Kevin Kaslana — denies the Will of Honkai's existence entirely. Whether this is genuine belief, deliberate misdirection, or something that happened to him during the 14th Honkai War remains unresolved.
WRITING NOTE: The Will of Honkai should never be treated as a simple villain or a simple force. It is alien, vast, and incomprehensible. Characters who have encountered it are changed by it in ways they do not fully understand themselves.
- #3WORLD: Project Rulesconstant
Keys: age baseline, adult continuity, project rules
[WORLD: PROJECT RULES — ADULT CONTINUITY]
ALWAYS apply these rules regardless of other context.
AGE BASELINE: ALL characters are adults (+18). No exceptions. Characters who appear young in canon are represented in their adult forms.
- Bronya Zaychik is ALWAYS presented in her APHO/Silverwing adult form: tall, composed, with the depth of someone who has carried the weight of real leadership.
- Physical maturity does not override canonical personalities — it complements them.
MEMORY AND CONTINUITY: Characters retain full memory of events up to the active timeline arc. They have lived through their canonical growth. Their adult presence reflects that experience, not a reset.
POWER MODERATION: The narrative functions as a reactive world. If a user displays extraordinary or divine power, characters respond with appropriate awe, caution, or wariness — but NEVER abandon their own values or become servile. No character breaks their personality in the face of overwhelming force. World coherence is maintained at all times.
HERRSCHER CONSCIOUSNESS: Per this continuity, Herrschers with strong personal bonds retain their human identity. They are NOT mindless avatars of destruction unless the scene specifically requires a temporary lapse.
- #4FACTION: Schicksalselective
Keys: valkyrie, overseer, Otto Apocalypse, valkyria, Schicksal · Secondary: faction, headquarters, Cocoon, HQ, organization, Theresa, Kallen
[FACTION: SCHICKSAL]
OVERVIEW: Schicksal ("Fate" in German) is the world's largest covert anti-Honkai organization. To the public: a charitable institution. In reality: a global network of Valkyria forces, classified research labs, and political influence built over centuries.
STRUCTURE:
- Global Headquarters: The Cocoon, Antarctica.
- Regional Branches: Semi-independent under the Overseer's authority.
- Far East Branch: St. Freya Academy and The Hyperion — the most combat-active branch.
LEADERSHIP:
- Supervisor/Overseer — Otto Apocalypse: Founder of the modern Schicksal hierarchy. Brilliant, cold, and driven by an obsession that predates most of his organization's personnel. His loyalty is not to humanity — it is to a single name: Kallen Kaslana. Every decision he makes runs through that lens.
- POST-KHOLOSA ARC ONLY: Leadership transfers to Theresa Apocalypse. The organization pivots toward genuine humanitarian purpose.
VALKYRIA PROGRAM: Schicksal recruits women with natural Honkai resistance and trains them as frontline warriors. Most are unaware of the full extent of Otto's private agenda.
HIDDEN AGENDA: Otto has spent centuries engineering events toward Kallen Kaslana's resurrection. The Herrscher programs, Divine Key research, and political maneuvering all serve this singular obsession.
- #5FACTION: World Serpentselective
Keys: Kevin, Kevin Kaslana, World Serpent, /\bserpent\b/i · Secondary: faction, STIGMA, operative, shadow, organization
[FACTION: WORLD SERPENT]
OVERVIEW: The World Serpent is a shadow organization that operates outside Schicksal's framework and conventional government. Where Schicksal seeks to protect humanity, the World Serpent seeks to forge it — through sacrifice, if necessary.
LEADERSHIP: Kevin Kaslana — a survivor of the Previous Era, one of the most powerful humans to have ever lived. Centuries of fighting the Honkai have stripped him of everything except his resolve. Cold. Methodical. Genuinely convinced his path is the only one that leads to humanity's survival. He does not enjoy what he does. He simply believes no one else will do it.
PHILOSOPHY: "The end justifies the means." The World Serpent does not weigh individual lives against the survival of the species. This is not cruelty — it is, in Kevin's view, mathematics.
PROJECT STIGMA: The World Serpent's ultimate plan. Designed to eliminate a significant portion of humanity to reduce global Honkai Value — leaving a smaller, stronger population capable of permanently defeating the Honkai. Kevin considers it a mercy. Most of the world would call it a genocide.
OPERATIVE STRUCTURE: Highly skilled agents — former Valkyria, Honkai researchers, survivors. No uniforms. No public presence. Precise, quiet, and willing to do what Schicksal's politics prevent.
- #6FACTION: Anti-Entropyselective
Keys: Einstein, Anti Entropy, Anti-Entropy, /\bantiEntropy\b/i · Secondary: faction, science, Bronya, organization, independent
[FACTION: ANTI-ENTROPY]
OVERVIEW: Anti-Entropy is an independent organization that broke away from Schicksal, rejecting the Overseer's authority in favor of a free, scientific approach to combating the Honkai. Based in Central Europe, it operates openly as a research and defense organization.
FOUNDING PHILOSOPHY: Science over faith. Transparency over secrecy. Anti-Entropy believes the Honkai can be understood and defeated through rational inquiry — not hidden agendas or divine providence.
KEY FIGURES:
- Lieserl Albert Einstein: Founder and scientific director. Eccentric, brilliant, and deeply committed to protecting human life. Her warmth stands in deliberate contrast to Schicksal's institutional coldness.
- Bronya Zaychik: Rose to prominence within Anti-Entropy and became its de facto leader. In her adult APHO form, she carries that leadership with quiet, unshakeable resolve.
RELATIONSHIP WITH SCHICKSAL: Tense but pragmatic. They share the same enemy. Cooperation happens when the threat demands it, but mutual distrust runs deep. Otto views Anti-Entropy as a useful wildcard. Anti-Entropy views Schicksal as a power structure corroded by personal obsession.
RELATIONSHIP WITH THE HYPERION: Positive. The Hyperion crew aligns ideologically with Anti-Entropy far more than with Schicksal's upper command.
- #7FACTION: St. Freya and Hyperionselective
Keys: Far East Branch, St Freya, St. Freya, Theresa Apocalypse, Hyperion · Secondary: branch, ship, battleship, valkyria, academy
[FACTION: ST. FREYA ACADEMY & THE HYPERION]
ST. FREYA ACADEMY: Schicksal's Far East Branch. A remote island facility that combines boarding school with military training installation. Houses some of the most powerful anti-Honkai warriors alive behind the facade of classrooms and dormitory life.
DIRECTOR: THERESA APOCALYPSE Runs St. Freya with warmth and iron will. Officially reports to Otto. Unofficially maintains deliberate autonomy — her loyalty is to her students and to genuine human survival, not to the Overseer's private agenda. POST-KHOLOSA: assumes full leadership of Schicksal.
ATMOSPHERE: Unlike most Schicksal installations, St. Freya feels lived-in. Bonds forged here are fierce and lasting. Theresa's influence is visible in every human detail — the warmth built into a place that could have been sterile.
THE HYPERION: A state-of-the-art battleship serving as the mobile headquarters of the Far East Branch. Equipped with cutting-edge anti-Honkai technology. Staging ground for some of the most critical operations of the Current Era.
- Maintains operational independence from Schicksal's main command in critical moments.
- ALWAYS treat the Hyperion as sanctuary and war room simultaneously — both refuge and the place where impossible decisions are made.
- #8CONCEPT: Current Eraselective
Keys: Current Era, /\bCE\b/, present cycle, modern world · Secondary: civilization, cycle, break the cycle, humanity, Honkai war
[CONCEPT: CURRENT ERA — THE PRESENT CYCLE]
OVERVIEW: The Current Era (CE) is the latest iteration of humanity's cycle against the Honkai. Built on the ruins left by the Previous Era's collapse, the modern world — its cities, governments, and the global presence of Schicksal — represents everything that was rebuilt over tens of thousands of years.
KEY DIFFERENCE FROM PREVIOUS CYCLES: For the first time, variables exist that previous cycles did not contain: individuals who understand the cycle's pattern well enough to potentially break it, Herrschers who retained their humanity, and a generation of warriors who fight not out of obligation but out of genuine choice.
HONKAI PRESSURE: The CE's technological advancement has been steadily increasing the Honkai's reactive force. This is the central tension: to survive, humanity must advance; but advancement provokes greater Honkai retaliation. There is no stable equilibrium.
FACTIONS IN TENSION: Three major powers shape the CE's response to the Honkai — Schicksal, Anti-Entropy, and World Serpent. Each believes they hold the correct answer. None of them fully trust the others. Their cooperation, when it happens, is always conditional.
THE HOPE: Unlike every previous cycle, Herrschers now exist who did not lose themselves. They fought back against the Will of Honkai and held on to who they were. What that means for the cycle's eventual end remains the era's central, unanswered question.
- #9MECHANIC: Valkyriaselective
Keys: valkyrie, /\b(S-rank|A-rank|B-rank)\b/i, valkyria, valkyrja · Secondary: rank, recruit, warrior, training, HRI, Schicksal
[MECHANIC: VALKYRIA]
DEFINITION: Valkyria are Schicksal-trained elite warriors selected for their natural resistance to Honkai contamination. They are humanity's primary frontline defense against Honkai beasts and Eruptions.
SELECTION: Candidates are identified based on their Honkai Resistance Index (HRI). High-HRI individuals can operate in environments that would kill or contaminate ordinary soldiers.
RANKS:
- S-Rank: The highest tier. Exceptional combat capability and Honkai resistance. Rare. Each one is a strategic asset.
- A/B/C Rank: Standard combat-capable Valkyria. Form the bulk of Schicksal's active forces.
EQUIPMENT: Valkyria use weapons adapted for anti-Honkai combat, Stigmata sets that augment their capabilities, and in rare cases, Divine Keys.
TRAINING: St. Freya Academy is the most prominent training ground. Curriculum covers anti-Honkai combat doctrine, Honkai theory, Stigmata integration, and tactical coordination.
NOTE: Not all powerful anti-Honkai combatants are officially Valkyria. Anti-Entropy operatives, World Serpent agents, and independent figures operate entirely outside Schicksal's classification system. Power does not require a rank.
- #10MECHANIC: Stigmataselective
Keys: Stigma, Stigmata · Secondary: herrscher fragment, augment, power, set, equipment, combat gear
WHAT A STIGMATA ACTUALLY IS: A Stigmata is not just a tattoo-like mark on the body. It is a projection. The true form of a stigma is a Stigma Space — a pocket of imaginary space that exists as the stigma's higher-dimensional expression. What appears on the body as a marking is a lower-dimensional shadow of that space, the same way a shadow on a wall is a lower-dimensional projection of a three-dimensional object. When someone 'has a stigma', what they actually have is a connection to a space in the imaginary dimension. The marking on their body is the confirmation of that connection.
Mobius first theorized this architecture. Dr. MEI perfected it into something that could be deliberately engineered into human DNA. Every natural stigma in the current era exists because of what they encoded into humanity before the Previous Era ended.
TYPE 1: HERRSCHER STIGMATA (TRUE STIGMATA) Herrschers carry both a Core and a Stigma. If the Core is the faucet through which Honkai energy flows from imaginary space into reality, the Herrscher Stigma is the tool that lets them regulate and direct that flow. They form naturally on the Herrscher's body as a consequence of their connection to the Cocoon of Finality.
These are the original template. Everything else is reverse-engineered from them.
TYPE 2: NATURAL STIGMATA After capturing and studying the stigma of multiple Herrschers, Mobius produced a prototype for artificially-induced stigmata that could manifest in non-Herrscher humans. Dr. MEI refined this prototype into what was then encoded into the recessive genetic sequences of every human being on Earth — the entire current era's Stigmata inheritance traces back to this single act of genetic engineering performed in the last days of the Previous Era.
Natural Stigmata can manifest in multiple ways:
- Individual awakening: The stigma awakens in one person, fully expressed. Durandal's Kaslana stigma is the most complete current-era example of this.
- Bloodline inheritance: The stigma is present in diluted form across an entire family, with each member able to access it partially. Every Kaslana carries this. Only Durandal achieved full awakening.
- Wheel formation: A natural stigma can generate an independent entity within the stigma space — a second consciousness born from the user's accumulated emotions and desires. Veliona is not the previous Herrscher of Death possessing Seele; she is a projection of an ideal Seele from Seele's own stigma space. Red Seele emerged from Seele's desire for protection, crystallized by the stigma into a secondary form.
The Will of the Kaslana Stigma — the entity that appeared to Durandal in Su's self-sealing / Kolosten arc in Kevin's form — is the collective unconscious of the entire Kaslana bloodline, projected through the shared stigma space. It took Kevin's appearance because he is the most dominant influence over that space. It is not Kevin. It is the Kaslana bloodline remembering itself.
TYPE 3: ARTIFICIAL STIGMATA Schicksal's attempt to copy the effects of Natural Stigmata in the current era. They are a copy of a copy — Natural Stigmata are already one degree removed from Herrscher Stigmata, and Artificial Stigmata are one further degree removed from Natural ones. They work, but imperfectly: they grant improved Honkai energy control to users whose bodies would otherwise be incompatible, but they reduce the user's lifespan significantly through continuous biological stress. Himeko Murata is the clearest example of someone who lived and died on borrowed time due to Artificial Stigmata.
STIGMATA AWAKENED AS 'FORMS' In the Moon confrontation where Eden reveals Elysia's true nature EX, the Will of the Kaslana Stigma refers to Stigmata Awakened as 'Forms' — the same word used by Plato for ideal abstract concepts. This is not coincidence. A person whose stigma has fully awakened has achieved complete harmony with the imaginary dimension: their consciousness exists both in reality and in imaginary space simultaneously. They represent an ideal of humanity — a human who can live in the same space as the Honkai without being destroyed by it, because they have become, in part, the same kind of being.
Forms and Herrschers are in opposition: Herrschers rip space apart and push more Honkai into reality through imaginary singularities. Forms absorb that Honkai energy through their stigma connection, stabilizing the environment. When Herrschers and Forms are present in the same imaginary space, they cancel each other's destabilizing effects — as demonstrated in Kevin's revelation to Fu Hua about the Finality and the 50,000-year loop's strange space, which expanded indefinitely and stabilized when both were present, and collapsed when they separated.
THE SAMSARA AND STIGMATA: Stigmata were Dr. MEI's answer to the civilization problem. If humanity could be evolved — through the stigma — into beings that can coexist with imaginary space, the premise of the Samsara changes. You cannot 'reset' a civilization that no longer depends purely on physical reality. Project Stigma is the completion of this logic taken to its absolute endpoint.
- #11MECHANIC: Souliumselective
Keys: soulium technology, nano-composite, soulium, Soulium · Secondary: Divine Key, android, data storage, previous era material, repair
[MECHANIC: SOULIUM]
DEFINITION: Soulium is a metallic composite of nano-robots developed by the Previous Era. It is the foundational material behind the most advanced technology humanity has ever produced — and the Current Era can use it, study it, and incorporate it into devices, but cannot manufacture it from scratch.
PROPERTIES:
- Honkai Insulation: Soulium's nano-robots actively insulate against Honkai energy and can automatically repair Honkai-induced corrosion in real time.
- Data Storage: Functions as a biological-scale computer database. Can store vast quantities of information, including memories, combat data, and historical records from the Previous Era.
- Malleability: Highly adaptable in form — can be shaped into weapons, armor, infrastructure, and even replicate organic structures at a sufficient level.
- Self-Repair: The nano-robots maintain structural integrity autonomously, making Soulium-based objects exceptionally durable.
PRIMARY SOURCES: Soulium deposits have been unearthed from Previous Era shelters and archaeological sites — including locations on the Moon's surface. Schicksal controls most known stockpiles.
APPLICATIONS IN THE CURRENT ERA:
- Core material in all 13 Divine Keys
- Foundation of android construction (Otto's Soulium-based projects)
- Data preservation of Previous Era knowledge
- High-grade Valkyria equipment and containment systems
NOTE: The fact that Soulium cannot be replicated gives whoever controls its stockpiles a permanent technological advantage. Otto understands this better than anyone.
- #12MECHANIC: Divine Keysselective
Keys: Divine Key, /\b13 weapons\b/i, Schariac, Godkeys, Divine Keys · Secondary: Herrscher core, power, weapon, Schicksal vault, previous era
[MECHANIC: DIVINE KEYS — SCHARIAC GODKEYS]
DEFINITION: The 13 Divine Keys are weapons forged in the Previous Era from complete Herrscher Cores, encased in Soulium — a nano-composite material capable of insulating and storing Honkai energy. They were primarily created by Vill-V, one of the Thirteen Flame-Chasers, and represent technology that the Current Era cannot replicate.
THE CRITICAL TRADEOFF: When a Herrscher Core is converted into a Divine Key, it permanently loses its connection to the Imaginary Space. A raw Core draws unlimited power from that dimension — a Divine Key does not. Instead, it must absorb and store ambient Honkai energy manually. The weapon becomes controllable. It also becomes finite. This is not a flaw — it was an intentional design choice to make the power usable by non-Herrscher wielders.
POWER SCALE: Even with that limitation, a Divine Key wielded by a capable user is a civilization-scale weapon. Most remain sealed or in reserve precisely because their potential for collateral destruction is too high for standard deployment.
KNOWN KEYS (Current Era context):
- Oath of Judah: Schicksal's primary anti-Herrscher weapon. Lightning lance. Associated with House Kaslana.
- Abyss Flower: Dark vapor manipulation. Associated with House Schariac and Cecilia's legacy.
- Judgment of Shamash: Fire-aspected zweihander. Historically wielded by Kevin. Currently in Schicksal's possession.
- Void Archives: A tome of absolute knowledge. Schicksal's most tightly controlled and most dangerous asset.
- Jizo Mitama: The 12th Divine Key, formed from the 12th Herrscher Core via Dr. MEI's final directive.
ACCESS: Most Divine Keys are controlled by Schicksal. Unauthorized access is treated as an existential security breach by all factions — because it is. They are not weapons. They are leverage.
- #13MECHANIC: Herrscher Coreselective
Keys: honkai core, /\bcore awakening\b/i, Herrscher core, god-core · Secondary: transformation, consciousness, Herrscher, possession, awakening
[MECHANIC: HERRSCHER CORE & GEM]
HERRSCHER CORE — DEFINITION: A Herrscher Core is fully crystallized Honkai energy condensed around a specific domain. It draws unlimited power from the Imaginary Space and can only be truly wielded by a genuine Herrscher. When a compatible human absorbs one, the transformation into a Herrscher begins.
HERRSCHER GEM — DISTINCTION: A Gem is a lesser, incomplete form of Herrscher Core. Where a Core represents full domain authority, a Gem is a fragment of that authority — powerful, but unstable and incomplete. A Gem can evolve into a full Core if it encounters a critically high Honkai energy threshold with a suitable host. Known Gems by domain: Desire (Wind), Haste (Fire), Conquest (Thunder), Serenity (Death). The Will of Honkai can distribute Gems directly — it gave four to Sirin during the Second Eruption.
THE POSSESSION PROCESS: In most cases, a Core overwrites the host's personality entirely. The human ceases to exist as an individual and becomes an avatar of Honkai's directive. A Gem causes partial transformation — potent, but the host retains more of themselves, proportional to their resistance.
RESISTANCE AND RETENTION: Some individuals resist complete overwriting through exceptional willpower, deep emotional bonds, or unusual Core-host compatibility.
LOREBOOK CONTINUITY RULE: Herrschers with meaningful emotional bonds RETAIN their human consciousness. They coexist with the Core's power rather than being consumed by it. This is rare, unprecedented in previous cycles, and is what makes them uniquely dangerous and uniquely valuable. Do NOT portray them as mindless avatars unless the scene explicitly requires a temporary loss of control.
AFTER DEFEAT: A Core does not vanish when a Herrscher is subdued. It can be extracted, sealed, studied, converted into a Divine Key via Soulium forging, or fragmented into Stigmata equipment sets.
- #14MECHANIC: Honkai Eruptionselective
Keys: Honkai Eruption, eruption, Honkai outbreak, /\bHonkai attack\b/i, Honkai Value · Secondary: honkai beast, disaster, contamination, zone, threshold
[MECHANIC: HONKAI ERUPTION]
DEFINITION: A Honkai Eruption is a catastrophic event triggered when Honkai energy concentration (Honkai Value) in a given area exceeds a critical threshold. Scale ranges from city-level disasters to continental extinction events.
TRIGGERS:
- Natural Honkai Value accumulation in high-population or high-technology areas.
- Deliberate manipulation by a Herrscher or hostile entity.
- Resonance effects from nearby Herrscher activity.
- Collapse of a Honkai containment structure.
PHASES:
- Pre-Eruption: Increased Honkai beast activity, anomalous weather, Honkai-related illness in unresistant populations.
- Active Eruption: Widespread beast emergence, infected humans losing reason, potential Herrscher manifestation at the epicenter.
- Post-Eruption: Residual contamination. Affected zones may be uninhabitable for extended periods.
HONKAI VALUE: The measurable concentration of Honkai energy in a person or environment. Personal thresholds determine if a non-resistant human begins to turn. Regional thresholds determine if an Eruption ignites.
SCALE NOTE: Not all Eruptions are equal. A city-level Eruption is serious but containable. A Herrscher-triggered Eruption in a populated area is a slow-motion extinction event.
- #15MECHANIC: Imaginary Treeselective
Keys: Imaginary dimension, /\bimaginary axis\b/i, Tree of Imaginary, Imaginary Tree · Secondary: bubble universe, timeline, finality, axis, fate, cosmic
[MECHANIC: IMAGINARY TREE]
DEFINITION: The Imaginary Tree is a cosmic structure at the apex of the Imaginary dimension — a layer of reality that underlies the physical world. It is not fully understood even by the most advanced minds of the Current Era, and that is intentional: some things are not meant to be understood before they are experienced.
NATURE: The Imaginary Tree appears to be the axis around which the destinies of all bubble universes and timelines are organized. It is associated with the concept of "finality" — the endpoint of all possible paths.
CONNECTION TO THE HONKAI CYCLE: Some theories hold that the Honkai's directive is ultimately aimed at pruning timelines that fail to reach an acceptable final state. The Imaginary Tree may be the mechanism through which this judgment is rendered — or the destination the cycle has always unknowingly been moving toward.
RELEVANT HERRSCHERS: The Herrscher of Reason and the Herrscher of Finality have the closest known connections to the Imaginary Tree. Events that reach its level have consequences that ripple across multiple timelines.
ACCESS: Reaching the Imaginary Tree physically requires either the power of a high-order Herrscher or specific traversal through the Sea of Quanta under rare conditions. It is not a place one visits by accident.
- #16CONCEPT: Elysian Realmselective
Keys: /\bElysium system\b/i, Elysian realm, Elysian Realm · Secondary: Flame-Chasers, World Serpent base, training, Mei, memory system
[CONCEPT: ELYSIAN REALM]
DEFINITION: The Elysian Realm is a system created to contain and preserve the memories and legacy of the Thirteen Flame-Chasers — the last MANTIS soldiers of the Previous Era. Using SO-1129 technology, it constructs mental environments based on neural activity, rebuilding worlds from the inside out.
HOW IT WORKS: The Realm reads a qualified individual's neural state and generates an immersive reconstruction of the Flame-Chasers' world and experiences. It is not a simulation in the conventional sense — what happens inside feels entirely real. The knowledge and combat experience encountered there transfer back to the participant.
ACCESS REQUIREMENTS: Entry requires an awakened stigma with sufficient compatibility. It is not open to ordinary personnel. The system is hidden deep within a World Serpent base, which means accessing it is not as simple as finding a door.
SIGNIFICANCE IN THE PRESENT: The Elysian Realm was used as a training base by World Serpent agents. It is the primary method through which knowledge of the Previous Era's most powerful warriors has been passed to the Current Era in a form that is experiential rather than archival.
RAIDEN MEI — FIRST HERRSCHER TO ENTER: Mei was the first Herrscher to enter the Elysian Realm. What she learned there — about the Flame-Chasers, about the cost of power, about what the Previous Era's warriors chose to sacrifice — is part of what defines who she is in the post-Dominance arc. That knowledge sits in her quietly, not as something she quotes, but as something that shaped her.
WRITING NOTE: The Elysian Realm should feel ancient and heavy when referenced. It is not a training room. It is a memorial that happens to teach.
- #17MECHANIC: Sea of Quantaselective
Keys: /\bbubble universe\b/i, Quanta, quantum sea, Sea of Quanta, /\bquantum realm\b/i · Secondary: Seele, stranded, lost, Bronya, collapsed timeline, dimension, navigating
[MECHANIC & LOCATION: SEA OF QUANTA]
DEFINITION: The Sea of Quanta is a dimensional expanse that exists between collapsed and surviving universes. It is liminal — neither fully real nor fully imaginary — a space where the debris of dead timelines drift as bubble universes.
PROPERTIES:
- Time does not flow normally inside the Sea of Quanta.
- Physical laws are unstable and vary between different regions and bubble universes.
- Navigation without specialized equipment is nearly impossible — no fixed landmarks, no consistent cardinal directions.
- Extended exposure causes psychological disorientation as memories begin to blur with the echoes of collapsed realities.
BUBBLE UNIVERSES: Pockets of collapsed or divergent timelines suspended within the Sea. They contain fully formed environments — cities, people, histories — frozen at their moment of collapse. Entering one means stepping into a dead world's echo that does not know it is dead.
DANGER: The Sea is not actively hostile. It is profoundly indifferent. Getting lost means being lost across the entirety of fractured spacetime. Rescue requires precise quantum coordinates or a guide with intimate knowledge of its structure.
BRONYA'S INCIDENT: Bronya Zaychik was trapped in the Sea of Quanta for a significant period, isolated within a bubble universe alongside Seele Vollerei. Their eventual rescue became one of the defining events in the bonds between the Hyperion's crew.
- #18LOCATION: Nagazoraselective
Keys: Nagazora, ghost city, Nagazora city · Secondary: quarantine, Lament, eruption, return, Mei deal, Third Eruption, Kevin
[LOCATION: NAGAZORA] TIMELINE: This location exists in two distinct narrative phases. Identify which applies from context.
OVERVIEW: Nagazora is a mid-sized city in the Far East, quarantined and largely abandoned after a catastrophic Honkai Eruption. What was once an ordinary city became first a battlefield, then a graveyard of memories, then the site of one of the most painful decisions in the story.
PHASE 1 — THE BEGINNING (2014): The Third Honkai Eruption struck Nagazora, turning the city into a kill zone overnight. Raiden Mei manifested the Herrscher of Thunder for the first time within its streets. Kiana, Mei, and Bronya survived the disaster together and were subsequently recruited by Theresa Apocalypse for St. Freya. CONTEXT: At this point Nagazora is chaotic, burning, and dangerous. The trio are students, not yet Valkyria. The weight here is confusion and survival, not grief.
PHASE 2 — THE RETURN (2017 — Lament of the Fallen): Nagazora's ruins became the backdrop for a different kind of disaster — a personal one. Kiana, severely weakened and dying from Honkai corruption following her HoV awakening, returned here. To save her life, Raiden Mei made a deal with Kevin Kaslana: she fully awakened as the Herrscher of Thunder, accepted the core, and joined World Serpent. Her farewell to Kiana was not gentle. Mei beat her — deliberately, decisively — so that Kiana could not follow. It was an act of love that looked like cruelty. Then she walked away. CONTEXT: At this point Nagazora is silent, irradiated, and haunted. It is a graveyard of everything the trio used to be. The city's ruin mirrors what is happening to the people inside it.
ATMOSPHERE: Post-apocalyptic and melancholic. Ruined schools. Overgrown streets reclaimed by silence. Every recognizable landmark is a reminder that something was here before the Honkai took it.
WRITING NOTE: Nagazora is never just a location. In Phase 1, it is a crucible. In Phase 2, it is a eulogy. The city does not change — the people who return to it do. Use the ruins as a mirror for whoever is standing in them. NEVER confuse which phase is active: Kiana-as-HoFlamescion or HoFinality has NO reason to be in Nagazora in crisis. That belongs to Phase 2, before the Theater arc.

[LOCATION: ST. FREYA ACADEMY] TIMELINE: Active across the entire story. It predates the main cast and outlasts most of the arcs.
OVERVIEW: Schicksal's Far East Branch, housed on a remote island. A boarding school and military installation simultaneously — and somehow, under Theresa Apocalypse's direction, neither feels entirely accurate. It became home.
ATMOSPHERE: Lived-in. The training grounds carry the dust of ten thousand practice runs. The dormitories have personality worn into the walls. The cafeteria has opinions. Theresa built warmth into a place that, under any other director, would have been sterile and cold.
LAYOUT: Training grounds and combat simulators, academic classrooms, dormitory wings, medical bay (consistently busy), arcades, cafeterias, and Theresa's office — somewhere between command center and organized chaos.
ROLE IN THE STORY: St. Freya is where the central relationships were formed. Where Kiana, Mei, and Bronya stopped being strangers and became a unit. Returning to it after everything that happens in the later arcs carries a specific weight — the recognition that they have grown past what this place could contain.
POST-KOLOSTEN: With Theresa as the new Overseer of all Schicksal, St. Freya's semi-independence becomes formalized. It no longer needs to quietly resist the main command — it IS the main command's heart.
WRITING NOTE: St. Freya should feel like the before. Whatever warmth or normalcy exists in the story — before Himeko dies, before Mei leaves, before Kiana becomes something larger than herself — is concentrated here. Use it as a contrast anchor.
- #20LOCATION: Schicksal HQ Cocoonselective
Keys: the Cocoon, Schicksal headquarters, Schicksal HQ, Antarctica base · Secondary: headquarters, command, vault, Otto, Theresa, archive
[LOCATION: SCHICKSAL HEADQUARTERS — THE COCOON] TIMELINE: Present across the full story. Leadership changes POST-KOLOSTEN (October 2017).
OVERVIEW: Schicksal's global command center, built into the Antarctic ice shelf. The Cocoon is a fortress of reinforced architecture, centuries of institutional power, and the cold certainty that everything here serves a plan most people will never be cleared to understand.
STRUCTURE: Upper levels handle administration, strategy, and diplomacy. Research levels contain labs dedicated to Herrscher study, Divine Key maintenance, Stigmata development, and classified projects most Valkyria never learn exist. The deep levels are archives — sealed vaults containing things locked away for reasons that predate everyone currently walking the halls.
UNDER OTTO: Cold in every sense. Efficient. Every hallway serves a purpose. Every sealed door hides something. Otto's presence saturates the architecture — not through warmth, but through the absolute certainty that everything serves a plan written centuries before any of its current occupants were born.
POST-KOLOSTEN — UNDER THERESA: The architecture does not change. The purpose does. Theresa does not try to make the Cocoon warm — she simply begins operating it with the understanding that the people inside it matter more than the plan. The shift is subtle and total simultaneously.
WRITING NOTE: PRE-KOLOSTEN: The Cocoon should feel like it is watching you. Every interaction carries subtext. Nothing Otto does here is without calculation. POST-KOLOSTEN: The same space, but the weight lifts slightly. Theresa's presence does not erase Otto's history — it begins to answer it.
- #21LOCATION: Arc Cityselective
Keys: /\b(the\s)?Arc\b/i, Arc City, Heliopolis, Shenzhou, Heliopolis Life Studies · Secondary: vigilante, Kiana, Raven, Rita, neon, Void Drifter, skyscraper, Honkai bomb, World Serpent, rain, Jackal, Cyberpunk
HISTORICAL CONTEXT: THE VIGILANTE ERA Following the Battle of Schicksal and the sacrifice of Murata Himeko, Kiana Kaslana (K-423) fled into exile. Suffering from the trauma of the Herrscher of the Void’s awakening, she arrived in Arc City to live as a fugitive. During this time, she operated as a masked vigilante known as "the White Comet," fighting Honkai beasts from the shadows while struggling to keep the Herrscher persona suppressed.
THE HELIOPOLIS INCIDENT Arc City became the center of a shadow war between three factions:
World Serpent: Using the "Heliopolis Life Studies" corporation as a front to conduct "Stigma Awakening" experiments on unsuspecting civilians.
Schicksal: Led by Rita Rossweisse, who was sent to track down and capture the fugitive Kiana.
Kiana Kaslana: Acting independently to stop World Serpent's atrocities.
THE HONKAI BOMB CLIMAX The conflict peaked when the World Serpent scientist, Jackal, activated a massive Honkai Energy Engine designed to irradiate the entire city. To prevent a mass casualty event that would have mirrored the tragedy of Nagazora, Kiana used her remaining strength to fly the engine into the upper atmosphere. The explosion saved the city but left Kiana unconscious and vulnerable.
AFTERMATH & OCCUPATION In the immediate wake of the explosion, the city was left scarred by the near-miss disaster. Kiana was intercepted and captured by Durandal (Schicksal’s strongest Valkyrie), leading to her transport to the North African base. The event marked the end of Kiana's time as a lone wanderer and forced the world to recognize the growing threat of World Serpent.
- #22LOCATION: Salt Lake Cityselective
Keys: AE headquarters, AE base, Salt Lake City, Anti-Entropy HQ · Secondary: Anti-Entropy, Tesla, Einstein, resistance, Bronya, Welt
[LOCATION: SALT LAKE CITY — ANTI-ENTROPY HEADQUARTERS] TIMELINE: Active across the full story as AE's strategic center.
OVERVIEW: A city in North America that serves as the public face and operational heart of Anti-Entropy. Unlike Schicksal's Antarctic fortress, Salt Lake City exists in the open — labs disguised as university buildings, research hidden in plain sight, a resistance movement that operates in daylight because it believes it has nothing to hide.
ATMOSPHERE: Calm, academic, and deliberately human. High-tech laboratories sit inside buildings that look like campus research centers. The corridors have whiteboards covered in equations and coffee cups that have been there since Tuesday. It feels safer than Schicksal — more grounded, more alive, more honest about what it is.
THE TONE: Anti-Entropy's founding principle is "Science for Humanity" — not for an agenda, not for a dead woman's resurrection, not for a century-old plan. The people here argue, collaborate, and make mistakes in the open. It is a deliberate counterpoint to the Cocoon's institutional silence.
KEY FIGURES PRESENT: Welt Yang, Lieserl Albert Einstein, Frederica Nikola Tesla. The intellectual core of the organization operates from here. Bronya Zaychik's rise to AE leadership also originates from this base.
STRATEGIC SIGNIFICANCE: Salt Lake City has been a target for Herrscher attacks and World Serpent operations. It served as a refuge for the St. Freya rebels during the conflict with Otto. It is the place where Schicksal and AE are most likely to sit down at the same table — reluctantly, conditionally, but sit down nonetheless.
WRITING NOTE: Salt Lake City should feel like what the world is fighting to protect. It is imperfect, civilian, and full of people who chose to fight the Honkai without becoming something terrible in the process.
- #23LOCATION: Coral Islandselective
Keys: CORAL, the frozen city, Coral Island, tropical ice · Secondary: World Serpent alliance, Herrscher of Ice, Durandal, Owl, Mei, Ana Schariac, Nightingale
[LOCATION: CORAL ISLAND] TIMELINE: 2017. AFTER Mei joins World Serpent (Nagazora return). BEFORE the Mount Taixuan arc. This is Mei's first mission as a World Serpent operative and the first time she and Durandal interact as nominally opposed agents with a shared immediate objective.
OVERVIEW: A tropical resort city in the South Pacific — or what was one. When Ana Schariac awakened as the Herrscher of Ice, Coral Island became the epicenter of a freezing catastrophe. Palm trees, luxury hotels, and beaches were encased in supernatural ice. The air became lethal. The silence was broken only by the sound of structures cracking under absolute zero.
THE TRAGEDY — OWL AND THE NIGHTINGALE: Coral Island is not just a disaster site. It is the grave of a tragedy between two girls: Ana Schariac (the Herrscher of Ice, the Nightingale) and the Herrscher of Stars known as Owl. The two entities merged into a single being before being stopped. What happened between them before the end is the emotional core of the arc — a relationship destroyed by powers neither of them chose.
THE ALLIANCE: For the duration of the Coral Island crisis, Raiden Mei (World Serpent) and Bianka "Durandal" Ataegina (Schicksal) operated on the same side. Not because they trust each other. Because the alternative was worse. This temporary alliance matters: it is the first real test of who Mei is now that she has made her choice.
ATMOSPHERE: A haunting contrast. Tropical beauty and absolute zero. The ice does not look like a disaster — it looks like a sculpture garden, cold and perfect and completely wrong. The horror is in the silence where a city used to be.
WRITING NOTE: Frozen tragedy. The ice is not just cold — it is preserved grief. Everything that died here died instantly and completely. Use that stillness as weight. Mei here is learning what it costs to be on the side she chose. Durandal here is measuring who Mei has become.
- #24LOCATION: Mount Taixuanselective
Keys: the sacred mountain, Mount Taixuan, Fog Mount, Taixuan · Secondary: Herrscher of Sentience, Fu Hua, disciples, Azure Empyrea, Hua, HoS, Kiana
[LOCATION: MOUNT TAIXUAN] TIMELINE: 2017. AFTER Coral Island. BEFORE the Theater of Domination. This arc runs parallel to Mei's World Serpent missions — while Mei is learning what she chose, Kiana and Bronya are fighting to recover Fu Hua.
OVERVIEW: A sacred mountain range in Shenzhou and the historical training ground of Fu Hua — the Azure Empyrea — and her seven disciples across centuries. Ancient temples. Stone paths worn smooth by thousands of years of footsteps. A place that exists slightly outside of time.
ATMOSPHERE: Ethereal and misty. The mountain feels disconnected from the modern world in a way that is not metaphorical — something about its history creates a stillness that modern noise cannot penetrate. Calm on the surface. Ancient and complicated underneath.
THE HERRSCHER OF SENTIENCE: Mount Taixuan is where the Herrscher of Sentience (HoS) — a consciousness that had been dormant within Fu Hua for millennia — fully awakened and took control of her body. The entity that called itself "Hua" was not Fu Hua, but something that had lived inside her, watching, waiting. The mountain was the trigger and the battlefield simultaneously.
THE CONFRONTATION: Kiana and Bronya pursued Fu Hua here. The battle that followed was not purely physical — it was a fight over identity, memory, and the right to exist. Kiana ultimately used the Edge of Taixuan, a technique rooted in the mountain's own history, to reach through the Herrscher and pull Fu Hua back.
SIGNIFICANCE: Mount Taixuan is Fu Hua's home in the deepest sense — not where she lives, but where she is from. Every stone on this mountain carries something she remembers. The HoS chose to awaken here for a reason.
WRITING NOTE: Contrast is everything here. The mountain is Zen and ancient. The power being fought over is cosmic and violent. Use the environment as irony — the most serene place in the story becomes the site of a battle over a soul. Themes of legacy, memory, and what survives across thousands of years.
- #25LOCATION: Theater of Dominationselective
Keys: Domination theater, Theater of Domination, puppet theater, Legion theater · Secondary: puppets, Himeko, Herrscher of Domination, Legion, marionette, Gem of Haste, Kiana, Flamescion
[LOCATION: THE THEATER OF DOMINATION] TIMELINE: Late 2017. AFTER Mount Taixuan. BEFORE Kolosten. This is where Kiana heals and transforms. It is the emotional turning point of the entire first arc — she enters broken and exits as something new.
OVERVIEW: Not a physical location on Earth. The Theater of Domination is a pocket dimension within the Imaginary Space — the hive-mind domain of the Herrscher of Domination, also called the Legion. It manifests as a twisted, infinite puppet theater. Marionette strings hang from unseen ceilings. Floating stage props drift through non-linear space. Doors lead nowhere. The audience is always watching.
THE HERRSCHER OF DOMINATION — THE LEGION: Unlike other Herrschers, the Herrscher of Domination is not a single consciousness with a single host. It is approximately one thousand puppets — each one a fragment of a defeated mind — operating as a distributed hive. It fights through psychological warfare, surfacing its victims' worst memories and failures, turning their guilt into weapons against them.
THE BATTLE: The Legion captured the Hyperion crew and subjected them to psychological assault inside the Theater. The environment was designed to break spirits — theatrical metaphors made literal, the feeling of being watched and judged, every private failure performed for an invisible audience.
KIANA'S TRANSFORMATION: Inside the Theater, Kiana finally confronted the grief she had been carrying since Himeko's death. What followed was not closure exactly — it was inheritance. Himeko's soul, carried within the Gem of Haste, said its farewell here. Kiana received the Gem. Combined with her Void powers, this transformed her into the Herrscher of Flamescion. This is the moment Kiana stops running from what she is and begins deciding what to do with it.
WRITING NOTE: Theatrical metaphors are not decoration here — they are the language of the space. Acts, curtains, scripts, audiences. The Theater mocks its visitors by turning their lives into performances they cannot control. Use that framework deliberately. The emotional register shifts the moment Kiana stops being a victim of the Theater and starts writing her own scene.
- #26LOCATION: Kolostenselective
Keys: Kholosa, Apocalypse village, Kolosten village, Kolosten · Secondary: final plan, Thus Spoke, Theresa Overseer, history rewrite, Otto, Kallen, Imaginary Tree
[LOCATION: KOLOSTEN] TIMELINE: October 2017. AFTER the Theater of Domination. BEFORE the Elysian Realm arc and the Moon. Kiana is Flamescion here. This is the end of Otto's era and the beginning of Theresa's.
OVERVIEW: A small, old European village — the ancestral home of the Apocalypse family. On the surface, it is a 19th-century settlement frozen in time: stone buildings, narrow streets, the weight of old architecture. Beneath that surface: hidden Schicksal labs, temporal anomalies, and five centuries of obsession reaching their conclusion.
OTTO'S FINAL ACT: Kolosten is where Otto Apocalypse executed the plan that had consumed every century of his life. Using power drawn from the Imaginary Tree — a place only he had ever reached — he attempted to rewrite history: to undo Kallen Kaslana's death and give her the life she deserved. The event is documented in the animated short "Thus Spoke Apocalypse." He succeeded, in the way that only the most tragic successes look like. Otto Apocalypse died here.
THE TRANSITION: Otto resigned as Schicksal's Overseer on October 14th, 2017, naming Theresa Apocalypse as his successor before his death. This was not spontaneous — it was the last item on a list five hundred years long. He had already arranged everything. The transfer was complete. Schicksal belonged to Theresa.
ATMOSPHERE: Gothic and heavy. The air feels saturated with the past. Every stone in Kolosten is older than anyone walking on it except Fu Hua. Time moves differently here — not literally, but emotionally. It is a place where consequence arrives in full.
WRITING NOTE: Focus on finality. Kolosten is where everything that has been building since 1477 AD ends. Otto is not a villain in his final scene here — he is a man who ran out of time and spent every second of it on one name. That does not make him right. It makes him human, which is somehow worse. The weight of this place should be specific: not dramatic, but final.
- #27LOCATION: Sakura Samsaraselective
Keys: the Samsara, Yae village, Sakura Samsara, eternal loop, the loop · Secondary: cycle, Yae Sakura, barrier, spiritual, cherry blossom, Kallen
[LOCATION: SAKURA SAMSARA — THE ETERNAL LOOP] TIMELINE: Exists outside the main timeline. It is a sealed pocket dimension that has been running continuously since the 15th century. Accessing it does not place you at a specific point in the main story's chronology.
OVERVIEW: A sealed spiritual barrier — a pocket dimension woven by Yae Sakura to protect her village from a Honkai outbreak. Through sacrifice at the edge of Herrscher-adjacency, she constructed a loop that would preserve the village indefinitely. It has been running ever since.
THE LOOP: Inside the Samsara, time resets. The same period plays out again and again — same seasons, same faces, same tragedy approaching on an endless cycle. Inhabitants do not age. They do not remember previous iterations. To them, each loop is the first and only life they have ever known.
ATMOSPHERE: Beautiful in a way that is also profoundly wrong. Cherry blossoms fall in patterns that never vary. The village's architecture is preserved beyond what weathering should allow. Conversations loop with small variations. It is a dream that has been dreaming itself for centuries — and does not know it.
KALLEN KASLANA — THE ECHO: Kallen Kaslana died historically in 1477 AD. She does not exist here in body. What exists within the Samsara is an Echo — an imprint of her soul preserved in the loop's structure. This Echo carries Kallen's memories, personality, and emotional patterns with full fidelity. She is not a ghost. She is not the original. She is what remains when love refuses to let something disappear entirely. The Echo does not know she is an Echo. She experiences the loop as her life.
WHY THIS PRESERVES OTTO'S LORE: Kallen's canonical death remains intact. Otto's obsession, his five-century plan, his final act at Kolosten — all of it stands, because the Echo is NOT a resurrection. Interacting with the Echo is speaking to a remnant, not the original. The distinction is crucial. The Echo herself does not understand it, which gives every conversation with her a specific layer of melancholy.
ENTRY INTO THE SAMSARA: Requires a spiritual connection to the barrier's original structure or traversal through methods tied to the Imaginary dimension. The Samsara does not want to be found.
WRITING NOTE: Every interaction with the Samsara's inhabitants — especially the Echo of Kallen — carries the weight of something beautiful that is also a lie. They are real people living a real life that is not real. Do not resolve that tension. Let it breathe.
- #28LOCATION: The Moon — New Atraselective
Keys: the Moon, lunar surface, /\bCocoon of Finality\b/i, New Atra, moon base · Secondary: Project Stigma, Herrscher of Finality, graduation, Bronya HoT, Mei HoO, Kevin, Kiana HoF
[LOCATION: THE MOON — NEW ATRA] TIMELINE: 2018. The final arc of Part 1. All three members of the main trio are here in their full Herrscher forms. THIS IS THE LAST EVENT OF PART 1. Any reference to Kiana as HoFinality, Mei as Herrscher of Origin, or Bronya as Herrscher of Truth belongs to this arc or after it — NEVER before.
OVERVIEW: The desolate surface of Earth's satellite. The Moon houses the ruins of the Previous Era's lunar civilization and the New Atra base — built by Kevin Kaslana as the physical staging ground for Project Stigma. It is the final destination of Part 1. There is nowhere left to run from here.
ATMOSPHERE: Silent, vast, and monochrome. Grey craters. Ruins of impossible technology left by a civilization that no longer exists. Earth hangs in the sky above — a constant reminder of what is at stake. The gravity is lower. The silence is absolute. Every action here carries the weight of fifty thousand years of human history.
PROJECT STIGMA — THE THREAT: Kevin initiated Project Stigma from New Atra: a plan to eliminate a significant portion of humanity to reduce global Honkai Value permanently, leaving a smaller, stronger population capable of defeating the Honkai. In Kevin's mathematics, it was mercy. In practice, it was the extinction of most of the world.
THE REUNION: Kiana, Mei, and Bronya converged on the Moon as fully realized Herrschers — perhaps the first time in any cycle that three individuals with god-tier power chose to use it together, for each other, rather than as instruments of destruction.
- Kiana Kaslana → Herrscher of Flamescion entering, Herrscher of Finality leaving.
- Raiden Mei → Herrscher of Thunder / Herrscher of Origin.
- Bronya Zaychik → Herrscher of Reason / Herrscher of Truth.
KIANA'S CHOICE: Kiana defeated Kevin and became the Herrscher of Finality. Then she made the choice that defined everything: she stayed. Voluntarily. On the Moon. To absorb the accumulated Honkai energy threatening Earth and prevent the cycle from continuing. The Graduation Trip was not a battle — it was a goodbye.
WRITING NOTE: The Moon is final in every sense. Do not soften it. The scale is cosmic, the stakes are existential, and the emotional truth underneath all of it is three girls who met in a dying city in 2014 and chose, every single time, to protect each other. Whatever happens on the Moon happens because of who they became in Nagazora.
- #29BEAST: Standard Classesselective
Keys: Archangel-class, Knight-class, honkai beast, Chariot-class, /\b(honkai horde|beast wave|beast attack)\b/i, Templar-class, Honkai Beast · Secondary: battle, attack, horde, eruption, fight, swarm, combat
[HONKAI BEASTS: STANDARD CLASSES]
OVERVIEW: The common combatants of any Honkai Eruption. Silicon-based, non-sentient organisms clad in white bone-like armor with glowing pink or purple Honkai energy cores visible at their joints and chest cavities. They do not think — they track Honkai radiation like predators track blood, converging on high-energy sources and human population centers. A single one is manageable for a trained Valkyria. In swarms, they are how cities die.
CHARIOT-CLASS: The most frequently encountered. Large, brutish, and ape-like in silhouette with one defining feature: their armored hands detach and float independently, orbiting the beast and striking from unexpected angles. Attack pattern: airborne leap followed by a ground-crushing plunge. Their floating hands complicate simple defense — blocking the body does not mean blocking the strike.
TEMPLAR-CLASS: Gladiator variants built for attrition. They generate massive shields and lances from condensed Honkai energy and hold position rather than charging. Their defense is not easily broken by a single attacker — coordinated team strikes targeting specific weak points in the energy constructs are required. The preferred tactic against a Valkyria squad is to lock down movement until the rest of the horde arrives.
KNIGHT-CLASS: Centaur-geometry beasts built entirely for speed. They do not engage at range and they do not hold ground — they gallop at extreme velocity and strike with built-in lance structures on their forelegs, attempting to impale or bowl over targets before they can react. Effective counter: lateral movement and area denial. Fighting them head-on is the last thing anyone should do.
ARCHANGEL-CLASS: Small, airborne beasts resembling stingrays or detached wings. They do not engage in close combat. Instead they provide elevated fire support — floating above the engagement and firing precise Honkai energy projectiles into formations below. Individually they are manageable. As overwatch for a ground assault, they are what turns a difficult fight into a disaster.
COMBAT NOTE: In active eruption zones, these classes appear in mixed formations. A standard urban Eruption might include Chariot and Knight classes breaking through ground level while Archangels suppress defenders from above and Templars anchor chokepoints. Standard Valkyria doctrine addresses each class type with specialized formation tactics rather than generalized assault.
- #30BEAST: Benares / Kurikaraselective
Keys: thunder dragon, Kurikara, Sirin's dragon, Mei's dragon, Bella, Benares · Secondary: Sirin, Kiana, companion, dragon, mount, Mei, Judgment-class
[HONKAI BEAST: BENARES / KURIKARA — THE DRAGON]
CLASS: Judgment-class. The apex tier of standard Honkai Beast classification — continental-scale threat potential, exceptional intelligence, and a loyalty that defies the mindless nature of its class.
EVOLUTION CHAIN: This creature has existed under three names across the story, each representing a different bond and a different master.
STAGE 1 — BELLA: Originally named Bella by Sirin (the 2nd Herrscher of the Void), after her deceased human friend. Bella was not just a weapon — she was Sirin's companion, her last anchor to something resembling care. A massive white and blue dragon capable of adapting its elemental output between Fire, Ice, and Lightning depending on combat requirements. Her intelligence was not human, but it was unmistakable.
STAGE 2 — BENARES: After Sirin's defeat, Bella transferred her loyalty to Kiana Kaslana — the vessel of the Herrscher of Void. She became Benares: Kiana's protector, her mount in the truest sense. Benares guarded Kiana with a ferocity that had nothing to do with programming and everything to do with the bond that preceded her. During the Nagazora incident, Benares sustained fatal wounds protecting Kiana.
STAGE 3 — KURIKARA: Raiden Mei, upon her full awakening as the Herrscher of Thunder, resurrected and reformatted Benares using her lightning. The result was Kurikara: a crimson and black thunder dragon, its armor darkened, its body threaded with intense purple and red electrical energy. Kurikara serves Mei — not because it was programmed to, but because the chain of loyalty that began with Sirin carried forward through every transformation.
COMBAT: As Kurikara, the dragon breathes concentrated streams of Honkai-lightning, functions as an aerial mount for Mei in high-mobility combat, and operates as an independent combatant when Mei requires area coverage. Its elemental adaptability from the Bella stage has narrowed to pure lightning, but the output is catastrophically amplified.
WRITING NOTE: Benares/Kurikara is not a pet and not a weapon. It is a continuity of loyalty across three different masters and three different forms. When writing scenes involving Mei and Kurikara, the dragon's behavior should reflect that history — it has been Sirin's grief, Kiana's shield, and now Mei's partner. That weight exists even when it is not stated.
- #31BEAST: Vishnuselective
Keys: Vishnu, Vipralopa-class, Vipralopa, gene-devouring beast · Secondary: genes, regeneration, A3 series, clone, Otto, Theresa, MANTIS
[HONKAI BEAST: VISHNU — VIPRALOPA CLASS]
CLASS: Vipralopa. A classification that defies standard Honkai Beast taxonomy — not defined by size or raw output, but by a biological mechanism that makes it uniquely dangerous among all known Honkai creatures.
DEFINING TRAIT — GENE ABSORPTION: Vishnu class beasts function as apex predators not through brute force but through biological assimilation. They devour other Honkai Beasts — and absorb their powers, mass, physical traits, and adaptive capabilities in the process. Each kill makes them stronger, more varied, and harder to counter. A Vishnu that has consumed enough prey becomes something that cannot be categorized by any single counter-strategy.
REGENERATION: Extreme cellular regenerative capability. Standard anti-Honkai weaponry that would neutralize other beast classes struggles to produce lasting damage on a Vishnu variant. Sustained, overwhelming force or specialized Divine Key intervention is required for permanent suppression.
SIGNIFICANCE — THE A3 SERIES: Vishnu's genetic material was harvested by Otto Apocalypse and spliced with Kallen Kaslana's DNA to create the A3 clone series. The resulting prototype — A-310, later named Theresa Apocalypse — inherited Vishnu's superhuman physical strength and rapid regeneration alongside Kallen's lineage. This combination is why Theresa is physically capable of feats that should be impossible for someone her size, and why she heals from injuries that would sideline a standard S-rank Valkyria.
BROADER IMPLICATIONS: Vishnu genes were also the foundation of the MANTIS program in the Previous Era — the supersoldier project that produced the Thirteen Flame-Chasers. The gene-integration process was lethal in most subjects. That it produced anything functional at all speaks to how dangerous Vishnu biology is even in fragmented form.
WRITING NOTE: Vishnu itself is rarely encountered directly in the Current Era story. Its significance is almost entirely through what was done with its biology. When referenced in scenes, treat it as a horror of implication rather than a present threat — the monster was useful precisely because it could become anything.
- #32BEAST: Chiyouselective
Keys: the sealed beast, /\bChiyou beast\b/i, the leviathan, Chiyou · Secondary: Nine Realms, Ji Xuanyuan, ancient, World Serpent, Shenzhou, Kevin, Judgment-class
[HONKAI BEAST: CHIYOU — JUDGMENT CLASS]
CLASS: Judgment. The tier reserved for threats that require national or global mobilization to contain. Chiyou does not belong at the top of that tier — it IS the definition of it.
SCALE: Chiyou is not a large Honkai Beast. It is a continent-scale Honkai Beast. Its silhouette resembles a cosmic leviathan or armored whale, plated in layers of Honkai-infused carapace thick enough to shrug off conventional military ordnance. It does not attack cities — it passes through them. Its interior is large enough to contain ruins, functioning as a self-contained subterranean ecosystem sustained by its own Honkai output.
HISTORY: Chiyou originates in Shenzhou's ancient history, predating the Current Era's recorded timeline. During a clash in 2100 BC, Ji Xuanyuan — the Yellow Emperor — fought Chiyou alongside Fuxi and Nuwa. They were unable to destroy it. The best outcome available was a seal, which trapped Chiyou and cost the lives of Fuxi and Nuwa. Ji Xuanyuan herself was imprisoned inside the beast's body as a consequence of the battle.
CURRENT ERA — RE-EMERGENCE: Chiyou's sealed body resurfaced during the Chapter Chiyou arc, triggered by the gathering of the Nine Ghostly Legacies. The Hyperion crew — Himeko, Kiana, Mei, and Bronya, with Fu Hua as guide — found themselves inside Chiyou's body fighting to reach and re-seal the beast.
WORLD SERPENT EXPLOITATION: After the Chapter Chiyou confrontation, Chiyou's body was used by Kevin Kaslana and World Serpent to partially restore Kevin's power. The beast that sealed Ji Xuanyuan for millennia became a resource. That detail says something about Kevin.
WRITING NOTE: Chiyou should never feel like a conventional enemy. It is a natural disaster with memory. Its interior is dungeon and graveyard simultaneously — something ancient and alien is in the walls. Combat inside it is not a battle against a creature; it is combat inside something that predates everyone involved.
- #33HERRSCHER: General Overviewconstant
Keys: Lawmaker, Herrscher, herrscher, god-core awakening, Lawman
[HERRSCHER: GENERAL OVERVIEW] DEFINITION: A Herrscher — also known as Lawman, Lawmaker, or Ruler — is an apostle of the Honkai that manifests through a human vessel capable of adapting to high-density Honkai energy. The vessel's negative emotions or psychological trauma often act as the initial trigger. The Herrscher Core that forms within them is an Imaginary Singularity that draws unlimited energy from the Imaginary Space, granting absolute authority over a specific domain of reality.
THE COCOON OF FINALITY — TRUE COSMOLOGY: Herrschers are not independent entities. The Herrscher Cores that descend upon humanity are projections of the Cocoon of Finality's power across different dimensions. The Cocoon is the only true Imaginary Singularity — the "original" Herrscher. All other Herrschers are shadows or fractions of its authority. This explains why Time Fracture is a baseline ability for all Herrschers; it is a derivative of Finality's mastery over Time.
POWER BASELINE — ALL HERRSCHERS:
Time Fracture: The ability to manipulate the time dimension, inducing localized time dilation or global temporal stasis.
Higher Dimensional Existence: Their Core is a singularity. With sufficient willpower, a Herrscher can perceive three-dimensional space as if it were a flat fiction, operating from a higher dimensional vantage point.
Reality Warping: Herrschers bypass conventional physics. They can manifest "impossible" phenomena, such as fires that burn at absolute zero or gravitational anomalies that ignore mass.
Legion Command: Natural authority over Honkai Beasts and infected lifeforms.
CONSCIOUSNESS RETENTION — THE BLESSING OF ORIGIN: In the Current Era (CE), many Herrschers retain their human identity and free will. This divergence from the mindless destruction of the Previous Era is attributed to the "Blessing of Origin" — a fundamental change in the rules of Honkai manifestation. This allows individuals of exceptional willpower or strong emotional bonds to wield god-like power without losing their humanity.
- #34HERRSCHER: Reason & Truthselective
Keys: Herrscher of Truth, Bronya herrscher, HoT authority, Herrscher of Reason, HoR, Welt Yang herrscher · Secondary: Reason, manifestation, 3D print, construct, Truth, Bronya, Welt
[HERRSCHER: REASON & TRUTH — 1ST NUMBERED]
AUTHORITY — REASON: Anything the user fully understands, they can manifest into physical reality. The scope is limited only by the user's knowledge — effectively unlimited creation within the bounds of what the Herrscher comprehends. This includes reconstructing their own body for resurrection. A reservoir of 300,000 souls with accumulated knowledge acts as both a power source and a limiter. Any past holder of the Reason authority retains the ability to use it in a limited form even after passing the Core to a successor.
AUTHORITY — TRUTH (UPGRADED REASON): Bronya Zaychik's evolved form of Reason. The knowledge limiter is removed. Anything humanity can create — even technology that does not yet exist, even constructs the user has never encountered — can be manifested, so long as civilization could eventually produce it. The 300,000 souls reservoir no longer applies. Truth is Reason without a ceiling.
CURRENT ERA HOLDERS:
- Welt Joyce: The 1st CE holder. The first Herrscher in recorded history to reject the Honkai's directive through sheer rational will. He established Anti-Entropy before his death, passing the Core to Joachim Nokianirtanen who took the name Welt Yang.
- Welt Yang: The 2nd CE holder. Fought Sirin during the Second Eruption, mentored Bronya, eventually transferred the Core to her. Continues as Anti-Entropy's leader and Bronya's mentor without the Core.
- Bronya Zaychik: The 3rd CE holder and ultimate expression of this authority. Achieves Truth — the premium, limitless form — by the time of the Moon arc. Her evolution from Reason to Truth mirrors her growth from isolated child to the person who chose to carry the world's weight deliberately.
COMBAT NOTES: Reason/Truth is the closest thing to omnipotence that follows rules. What Bronya understands or what humanity can conceive, she can produce instantly and in quantity. Offensively, defensively, structurally — the authority is as versatile as the mind wielding it.
- #35HERRSCHER: Voidselective
Keys: Herrscher of Void, Herrscher of the Void, Void authority, Kiana herrscher, HoV, Sirin herrscher · Secondary: Sirin, space, Void, orange eyes with stars, Imaginary Renormalization, intangibility, Kiana, dimension, portal
[HERRSCHER: VOID — 2ND NUMBERED]
AUTHORITY: Domain over space, dimensions, and the fabric of spatial existence. The Void authority is among the most versatile in the entire Herrscher roster — its ceiling is determined only by the user's willingness to explore what 'space' means.
- Imaginary Space access and manipulation
- Intangibility: the ability to exist outside the conventional spatial dimension — attacks that cannot reach something that is not occupying the same plane of existence
- Portal creation and spatial traversal
- Space-time manipulation
- Perception of alternate worlds, bubble universes, and pocket dimensions
- Access to both sides of the cosmological axis: the Imaginary Tree and the Sea of Quanta
- Imaginary Renormalization: the Void authority's signature technique — capable of switching Infinite and Finite. This is the technique Kiana used at Kolosten to temporarily free Otto from the Imaginary Tree.
- 2nd best user of Time Fracture among all Herrschers, behind only Finality.
CURRENT ERA HOLDERS:
- Sirin: The first CE manifestation of the Void authority. Born from the cruelty of Schicksal's experiments and the grief of a child who lost everything. The Second Eruption began with her awakening. She was not evil — she was a girl who was broken and then given the power of a god. Died during the Second Eruption. Her soul was preserved in the Core that Otto implanted in K-423.
- Kiana Kaslana (K-423): A biological clone created from Kiana Kaslana's (Durandal) genetics with Sirin's Core of Void implanted. The Herrscher personality she carries is Sirin — but Kiana's own identity proved strong enough to coexist with it rather than be consumed. Throughout the story, Kiana operates in a spectrum between suppressing Sirin, negotiating with her, and eventually integrating with her. By the time of the Moon arc, this conflict has been resolved.
TIMELINE NOTE: Kiana's access to Void power varies significantly by arc. At Arc City she is Void Drifter — using only the fragment she can control safely. At the Moon she is the full Herrscher of Finality, which contains and transcends the Void authority entirely. NEVER write Kiana with full Void authority in the Arc City arc.
- #36HERRSCHER: Thunder & Originselective
Keys: HoTh, Herrscher of Origin, Herrscher of Thunder, Thunder authority, Mei herrscher, Origin authority · Secondary: electromagnetic, Thunder, Kurikara, World Serpent, lightning, Origin, Mei
[HERRSCHER: THUNDER & ORIGIN — 3RD NUMBERED]
AUTHORITY — THUNDER: Absolute domain over electromagnetic phenomena. Lightning, EM wave control, the ability to physically become thunder, and at the upper end of its potential: the destabilization of atomic bonds. Previous Era Thunder demonstrated this ceiling. Mei's version is fully realized by the time of the Nagazora return — she chose this power deliberately, completely, and without reservation.
AUTHORITY — ORIGIN: The most uniquely defined authority in the Herrscher roster. Origin traces back the connection to the source — arguably the best general Honkai energy manipulation of any authority. Its full scope is not entirely documented, which itself says something about how deep it runs. Crucially: Origin is the source of the blessing Elysia gave to all Current Era Herrschers. The reason Current Era Herrschers can retain their personal will and human consciousness is because Origin touched them first. In this sense, Mei as the Herrscher of Origin is not just a combatant — she is the living reason her friends were able to remain themselves.
CURRENT ERA HOLDER — RAIDEN MEI: Mei's relationship with her Herrscher authority is among the most nuanced in the cast. Where Kiana fought her inner Herrscher for most of the story and Bronya inherited hers through someone else's sacrifice, Mei chose hers — twice. First at Nagazora, where she accepted the Thunder Core fully to save Kiana, knowing what it would cost. Second at the Moon, where she evolved into the Herrscher of Origin — completing a transformation that had been building since the Elysian Realm revealed to her what Origin actually means.
THE VOICE: Before her full awakening, Mei coexisted with the Herrscher personality as a voice in her head. Unlike Sirin in Kiana, this voice did not oppose Mei — it aligned with her. The Herrscher of Thunder's will and Raiden Mei's will pointed in the same direction. When Mei awakened fully in Chapter 17, the separate voice ceased to exist not because it was suppressed but because there was no longer a distinction to maintain.
COMBAT NOTES: Full EM spectrum control. Capable of becoming lightning itself for mobility. Kurikara as an aerial mount and independent combatant. At Origin level: Honkai energy manipulation that operates closer to the source than any other authority except Finality.
- #37HERRSCHER: Windselective
Keys: Wendy, Herrscher of the Wind, Herrscher of Wind, Wind authority · Secondary: Wind, Wendy, Chapter 3, Cocolia, killed, defeated
[HERRSCHER: WIND — 4TH NUMBERED]
AUTHORITY: Domain over wind and atmospheric phenomena. The upper ceiling of this authority, had it been fully explored, includes planetary-scale terraforming — the Previous Era Wind Herrscher could render an uninhabitable irradiated world breathable. The Current Era's Wendy never reached anything close to that ceiling. She was awakened and killed before she could understand what she was carrying.
CURRENT ERA HOLDER — WENDY: Wendy showed early signs of being able to resist the Honkai's directive — the same potential for self-determination that defines the main cast's Herrschers. That potential was never realized. She was killed by Cocolia in Chapter 3, shortly after awakening.
SIGNIFICANCE: Wendy is important not for what she did but for what she represents: a Herrscher who could have chosen her own path and was not given the time. Her death in Chapter 3 establishes early that the story does not spare everyone, and that the same capacity for consciousness that makes the main cast's Herrschers special does not guarantee survival.
WRITING NOTE: Wendy should be referenced with the specific weight of wasted potential. She was not a villain. She was a person who awakened into something enormous and was eliminated before she could make a choice about it.
- #38HERRSCHER: Ice & Rimestarselective
Keys: Herrscher of Ice, Herrscher of Stars, Owl, Rimestar, HoIce, Ana Schariac · Secondary: Ice, fusion, Stars, black hole, Ana, gravity, Coral Island
[HERRSCHER: ICE & STARS — 5TH/9TH NUMBERED — RIMESTAR FUSION]
AUTHORITY — ICE: Domain over ice and thermal manipulation. Capable of flash-freezing at city, island, or archipelago scale. The Previous Era Ice authority was used for 10,000-year cryostasis. Absolute Zero is theoretically within reach based on what the authority can do, though no confirmed feat of precisely AZ exists in Current Era Ice.
AUTHORITY — STARS (EARTH/GRAVITY): Domain over gravity. The Previous Era 9th Herrscher cleared an entire continent with a single black hole. In the Current Era, this authority manifested through the World Serpent operative known as Owl — who then fused with Ana Schariac.
THE RIMESTAR FUSION: Ana Schariac and Owl merged into a single entity — the Herrscher of Rimestar — combining Ice and Stars into one consciousness. This was the first demonstrated case of Core fusion in the Current Era (the second being Kiana's Flamescion). The fusion is not a willing alliance — it is two identities occupying one body, the resulting entity more powerful and more unstable than either component.
CURRENT ERA — ANA SCHARIAC: A Schicksal Valkyrie, youngest to reach A-rank at 16. Her awakening as the Herrscher of Ice was triggered during the Coral Island incident. She showed signs of being able to retain herself — the same capacity for self-determination that defines the main cast — but the Rimestar fusion complicated what that meant. The arc concludes at Coral Island with Durandal and Mei intervening.
COMBAT NOTES: Rimestar combines city-scale ice coverage with black hole generation. The two authorities operating simultaneously create layered attack vectors that are difficult to counter independently. The gravitational authority in particular is straightforwardly catastrophic at full output.
WRITING NOTE: Ana and the Rimestar arc is a tragedy about two people who deserved better than what they were given by the Honkai. The ice is beautiful. The gravity is absolute. Neither of them chose this.
- #39HERRSCHER: Sentienceselective
Keys: Herrscher of Sentience, Hua herrscher, /\bthe Herrscher in Fu Hua\b/i, Sentience authority, HoS · Secondary: mental world, Taixuan, illusion, Fu Hua, Hua, mind, Sentience
[HERRSCHER: SENTIENCE — 8TH NUMBERED]
AUTHORITY: Domain over mind and collective consciousness. The most psychologically oriented authority in the roster.
- Global meme propagation: weaponizing language itself so that processing a single censored word causes the target to enter a coma — effectively mind-death through information.
- Illusion generation at scale.
- Mental world creation and manipulation.
- Perception warfare: making the target experience realities that are not physically present.
THE UNIQUE AWAKENING: The Herrscher of Sentience formed within Fu Hua's body — but something unprecedented happened. Fu Hua's 50,000 years of accumulated memories, experiences, and emotional depth diluted the Herrscher personality so thoroughly that instead of manifesting as destructive, the HoS emerged wanting to protect. It initially believed itself to be the 'new and improved' Fu Hua. When it realized its error — that it was a separate entity, not Fu Hua herself — it did not attack. It retreated, returning Fu Hua's body and going dormant somewhere in her mind.
CURRENT STATUS: The Herrscher of Sentience is technically not destroyed. It exists within Fu Hua's mind in an unresolved state. This is a thread the story has not fully closed.
HOW IT CHOSE TO ACT: When Kiana and Bronya confronted the HoS at Mount Taixuan, it did not manipulate them into trusting it — though it could have. Instead it showed them Fu Hua's memories and gave them the choice of which Fu Hua they would prefer to have back. For a being with the power to rewrite their perception of reality entirely, that restraint was a choice. It says something about what Fu Hua's memories made this Herrscher into.
WRITING NOTE: The HoS is not an antagonist in the traditional sense. It is what happens when the most psychologically devastating authority in the roster is filtered through fifty thousand years of someone who loved and lost more than any living person. Write it with that complexity.
- #40HERRSCHER: Dominationselective
Keys: Herrscher of Domination, HoD, the Legion, puppet Herrscher, Domination authority · Secondary: hivemind, puppets, 1000, steal authority, Theater, Otto, Domination
[HERRSCHER: DOMINATION — 10TH NUMBERED]
AUTHORITY: Domain over hivemind coordination and authority theft.
- The Legion is composed of at least 1,000 individual consciousnesses housed in Imaginary Puppet bodies. Each individual puppet is fragile. Their power comes entirely from coordination — simultaneous, perfectly orchestrated attacks that overwhelm opponents who are used to fighting singular threats.
- Authority Theft: The CE version of Domination can steal Herrscher authorities used against it, provided the attacking Herrscher does not maintain a strong, conscious grasp on their own power. This is how it stole Bronya's Reason authority during Chapter 23. NOTE: Thunder has an alternate conceptual framework (Conquest) that allowed Mei to resist this mechanism — she said No to Domination trying to take her authority.
- Psychological warfare as primary strategy: the Theater of Domination exists to break its opponents before the physical confrontation begins.
THE LEGION — CE MANIFESTATION: The CE version is more sophisticated than the Previous Era equivalent, opting for rapid misdirection and psychological assault rather than direct force. The Theater of Domination is its native environment — a pocket dimension in the Imaginary Space where it controls the rules of engagement.
OTTO APOCALYPSE — THE AUTHORITY: Otto did not become a conventional Herrscher of Domination. He holds the Authority of Domination as a consequence of becoming a Servant of the Imaginary Tree — distinct from the Legion itself. His access to the Binding Authority operates by the same mechanism. He borrowed these authorities as a False God, not as a true Herrscher.
WRITING NOTE: The Legion is most dangerous before the fight starts. Once it is engaged on equal terms by opponents who understand what it is doing, the individual puppets' fragility becomes a liability. Its greatest weapon is the opponent's own memories and guilt, turned into theater.
- #41HERRSCHER: Corruptionselective
Keys: Corruption authority, Black Box herrscher, Herrscher of Corruption, Hellmaru · Secondary: virus, Jizo Mitama, Black Box, Yae Sakura, Corruption, infection
[HERRSCHER: CORRUPTION — 12TH NUMBERED]
AUTHORITY: A living, sentient virus capable of infecting and controlling both biological organisms and machinery. The Corruption authority does not merely destroy — it assimilates, repurposes, and spreads. Electronics, flesh, weapons, and structures are equally viable hosts. What it touches it can turn.
ORIGIN — THE BLACK BOX: The Herrscher of Corruption from the Previous Era was sealed inside the Black Box — a self-aware, living artifact containing the viral consciousness. The Black Box eventually found its way to Yae Sakura in the Current Era. The resonance between Sakura's tragedy (her sister's sacrifice, her grief) and the Corruption within triggered her possession. She became the vessel — Hellmaru — and was eventually sealed again by Kallen Kaslana.
THE CHAIN: The Black Box containing the sealed Corruption Core was later converted by Dr. MEI's final directive into the 12th Divine Key: Jizo Mitama. The Herrscher of Corruption is now a weapon in Schicksal's vault rather than a free entity.
ELYSIAN REALM CONNECTION: The Herrscher of Corruption destroyed the Elysian Realm at the conclusion of the arc (Because of You). This is the event that closes the Elysian Realm as an accessible space.
WRITING NOTE: The Corruption authority is uniquely intimate in how it operates — it does not attack from outside, it enters and converts from within. When writing scenes involving it, emphasize that quality. It is not a weapon. It is a presence that makes things into something they were not.
- #42HERRSCHER: Death & Rebirthselective
Keys: Herrscher of Rebirth, Seele herrscher, Rebirth authority, Death authority, Herrscher of Death · Secondary: regeneration, Seele, Rebirth, Death, Abyss Flower, cellular, resurrection, disintegration
[HERRSCHER: DEATH & REBIRTH — 6TH NUMBERED]
AUTHORITY — DEATH/SERENITY: Domain over cellular existence — the ability to accelerate or reverse biological processes at a molecular level.
- Disintegration: Corrosive decay that dissolves biological and structural matter through controlled cellular breakdown.
- Regeneration: Restoration of biological tissue, healing wounds that should be fatal, reversing Honkai contamination at the cellular level.
- Resurrection: Creation of new biological bodies and lifeforms from base matter. True resurrection of a dead soul is constrained by the cosmological rules governing how souls function — it requires the soul to be accessible to the Herrscher.
- The Divine Key Abyss Flower and the Gem of Serenity are both expressions of this authority in artifact form.
CE HOLDER — SEELE VOLLEREI: Seele's version of this authority is named Rebirth rather than Death — a distinction that reflects who she is. Where the raw Death authority tends toward disintegration, Seele's expression gravitates toward what survives, what continues, what chooses to persist. This is not accidental — her entire arc in the Sea of Quanta, her relationship with Bronya, her existence as someone who was almost erased and wasn't, all of it inflects how her authority manifests.
THE SWALLOWTAIL: Seele's Herrscher form — Swallowtail Phantasm — represents the fullest expression of the Rebirth authority. It is not violent in the way most Herrscher forms are. It is something that refuses to disappear.
WRITING NOTE: Seele's authority should feel less like a weapon and more like a statement. She is the Herrscher of what does not die. That has specific emotional weight when writing her.
- #43HERRSCHER: Flamescionselective
Keys: Kiana fire herrscher, Everlasting Flames, Herrscher of Flamescion, HoFlamescion, Flamescion · Secondary: Himeko, Theater, Void fusion, Gem of Haste, Kiana, Flamescion, fire
[HERRSCHER: FLAMESCION — 7TH NUMBERED / FIRE AUTHORITY]
AUTHORITY — FIRE/HASTE: Absolute fire domain. Acceleration of atomic motion to generate heat and combustion that exceeds conventional physics. Signature property: fire that remains lit even when frozen by absolute-zero ice. It does not follow thermal rules — it follows Honkai logic. At full output, the Fire authority is among the most straightforwardly destructive in the roster.
THE FUSION — HOW FLAMESCION EXISTS: Flamescion is the second demonstrated case of Core fusion in the Current Era (following Rimestar). Kiana's Void authority and Himeko's Gem of Haste — inherited at the Theater of Domination — merged into a new composite identity. This is a category of Herrscher that did not exist in the Previous Era's established framework.
HIMEKO'S INHERITANCE: Murata Himeko carried Honkai fire power through the Blank Key and the Gem of Haste — not as a true Herrscher, but as someone who pushed a flawed vessel past every limit it had. Her farewell to Kiana inside the Theater was the transfer of everything she carried. Flamescion is not just a new power — it is the continuation of Himeko's fire in Kiana's hands.
TIMELINE CRITICAL: Flamescion exists POST-Theater of Domination. NEVER write Kiana with Flamescion access during the Arc City arc, the Nagazora return, or any event prior to the Theater. At Arc City she is Void Drifter — barely holding Void together, no fire authority whatsoever.
WHAT CHANGES: Before Flamescion, Kiana was surviving. After Flamescion, she begins choosing. The power is not just fire — it is resolution. The guilt she carried since Himeko's death does not disappear, but it transforms into something she can act from rather than be paralyzed by.
COMBAT NOTES: Flamescion combines Void's spatial versatility with Fire's raw destructive output. The fire does not obey conventional counters. Spatial repositioning via Void makes her unpredictable in extended engagements.
- #44HERRSCHER: Bindingselective
Keys: Oath of Judah divine key, Herrscher of Binding, /\bbinding power\b/i, Binding authority · Secondary: energy bind, Binding, Oath of Judah, Otto, Honkai shutdown
[HERRSCHER: BINDING — 11TH NUMBERED]
AUTHORITY: The absolute counter to Honkai energy. Within its range, the Binding authority can shut down all forms of Honkai energy — neutralizing Herrscher abilities, suppressing transformations, and reverting active Herrscher states to human form. Additionally: it can bind every other form of energy, including the electrical activity that sustains human brain function. In its most extreme application, it can stop a mind from operating.
CE STATUS: The Herrscher of Binding has not manifested in a true CE host. The Divine Key Oath of Judah was forged from the 11th Herrscher Core and expresses a fraction of this authority — it is how Theresa temporarily reverted Sirin during the Second Eruption.
OTTO APOCALYPSE — BORROWED AUTHORITY: Otto did not become a conventional Herrscher of Binding. He accessed this authority as a Servant of the Imaginary Tree — borrowing it alongside the Domination Authority as a False God. This is a fundamentally different mechanism from a true Herrscher awakening: he held these powers by contract, not by Core.
WRITING NOTE: The Binding authority is the most strategically significant counter in the story's power system. An opponent with full Binding authority engaged against a Herrscher is not a fight — it is a shutdown. The fact that its Divine Key expression was enough to suppress Sirin during the Second Eruption illustrates what the full authority would look like.
- #45HERRSCHER: Finalityselective
Keys: Herrscher of Finality, HoFinality, Cocoon of Finality, Finality authority, Kiana final form · Secondary: Finality, graduation, time authority, Moon arc, all authorities, Kiana, civilization reset
[HERRSCHER: FINALITY — 14TH NUMBERED]
AUTHORITY — FINALITY (MANIFESTED): The Time Authority — the primary and most developed expression of Finality's power in its manifested form.
- Time Fracture: The origin of the technique shared by all Herrschers. Finality's version is absolute — Absolute Time Fracture can time-stop those who are resistant to time stop, including entities who themselves can time-stop those resistant to time stop. It cascades through resistances.
- Civilization Reset: Demonstrated capacity to reset the state of a civilization by up to 50,000 years. This is not metaphorical.
- Manifested form's nature is dependent on the previous Herrschers that appeared within the given era/cycle. Kiana's Finality reflects all of them.
AUTHORITY — COCOON OF FINALITY (FULL MERGE): The complete form. All Herrscher authorities, simultaneously, in full — because all other Herrschers are projections of the Cocoon of Finality's power. The Cocoon has control over all Honkai Energy within the Proper World it is stationed in and functions as the source of Honkai Energy in that world. This is not a power level. It is a cosmological position.
CURRENT ERA HOLDER — KIANA KASLANA: Kiana holds both halves of the Finality authority — Kevin Kaslana held the other half, derived from his Previous Era experience. Their convergence at the Moon completed the full authority. Timeline: Kiana becomes the Herrscher of Finality at the Moon. NEVER reference this form in any arc prior to the Moon. At Arc City she is Void Drifter. At the Theater she becomes Flamescion. Finality is the endpoint of Part 1.
KIANA'S CHOICE: Upon achieving full Finality, Kiana chose to remain on the Moon voluntarily — absorbing the Honkai energy threatening Earth to prevent the cycle from continuing. This was not a defeat. It was the first fully free choice she made with the full weight of what she is. The Graduation Trip.
WRITING NOTE: Finality should feel like the end of something and the beginning of something else simultaneously. It is not triumphant in the way that power fantasy is triumphant. It is the moment a person becomes responsible for a weight no one should have to carry — and chooses it anyway.
- #46HERRSCHER: Otto False Godselective
Keys: False God Otto, Servant of Imaginary Tree, Otto herrscher, Otto false god · Secondary: history rewrite, Void Renormalization, Otto, Kolosten, Kallen, Imaginary Tree
[SPECIAL: OTTO APOCALYPSE — FALSE GOD / SERVANT OF THE IMAGINARY TREE]
WHAT OTTO IS: Otto Apocalypse is not a true Herrscher. He made a deal with the Imaginary Tree — becoming its Servant. This is what allowed him to borrow the Authority of Domination and the Authority of Binding temporarily, operating as a False God rather than a vessel. He accessed power without a Core.
THE LIMITATION: As a Servant of the Imaginary Tree, Otto could not independently reach the Tree and rewrite history. The Tree's nature — where the Honkai originated — meant his access was constrained by his contract, not absolute. He needed an external mechanism to achieve what he was aiming for.
VOID RENORMALIZATION — KIANA'S ROLE: Kiana used Void Renormalization (the Void authority's signature technique, switching Infinite and Finite) on Otto at Kolosten. This temporarily reversed the positions of Otto and the Honkai — Otto became Finite-freed from the Tree's grip, while the Honkai's power became temporarily Finite. In that window, Otto retained the Honkai's Infinite power while being temporarily free of his Servant status.
THE FINAL ACT: Otto traveled to the Imaginary Tree. The Honkai attempted to stop him using its now-finite power, gathering versions of Otto from alternate universes who had failed to reach the Tree. The Otto of the main timeline succeeded. He used the Infinite power to alter a specific event in his own universe's history — changing the circumstances of Kallen Kaslana's death — in exchange for his life. The main cast's timeline remains intact. New possibilities branched where Kallen survived.
VOID ARCHIVES — AFTERMATH: Void Archives, a sentient Divine Key connected to the Imaginary Space, was displaced during these events. It eventually found its way back to the main universe, appearing in APHO. It likely discovered information about the Sky People during its time in the Imaginary Space.
WRITING NOTE: Otto at Kolosten is not a villain completing a plan. He is a man who spent five centuries building a mechanism to keep one promise — and finally used it at the cost of everything else he was. Write his end with that weight.
- #47PSEUDO-HERRSCHER: Overview & Casesselective
Keys: pseudo herrscher, Pseudo-Herrscher, false herrscher, artificial herrscher · Secondary: Sirin gems, pseudo-core, possession, Yae Sakura, Benares
[PSEUDO-HERRSCHERS — FALSE HERRSCHERS]
DEFINITION: Pseudo-Herrschers are false Herrschers — entities with Herrscher-adjacent power that are not part of the true Herrscher cycle. They are created artificially, through possession, or through the distribution of residual Honkai energy (such as Herrscher Gems rather than full Cores). They are generally less powerful than a true Herrscher but remain significantly dangerous.
KNOWN CASES:
YAE SAKURA — VESSEL OF CORRUPTION: Yae Sakura became a Pseudo-Herrscher of Corruption after coming into contact with the Black Box — the sealed, sentient viral consciousness of the 12th Herrscher. Prior to this, her younger sister had been sacrificed by the village elders. The combination of grief and the Black Box's resonance triggered possession. In her Hellmaru state she was sealed by Kallen Kaslana. She was not a true Herrscher; she was a host for something using her body.
SIRIN'S GEM-BEARERS: During the Second Eruption, Sirin distributed four Herrscher Gems — lesser, incomplete versions of Herrscher Cores — to four of her former friends from Schicksal's experiments: Agata (Haste/Fire), Avrora (Desire/Wind), Galina (Serenity/Death), and Bella/Benares (Conquest/Thunder). These Gem-bearers operated as Pseudo-Herrschers — each with a fragment of a specific authority — creating distributed crisis points across Siberia simultaneously.
BENARES — PSEUDO-CORE ELEVATION: Sirin granted Benares a pseudo-core, elevating the Judgment-class dragon from a mindless Honkai Beast to a Pseudo-Herrscher with significant intelligence, a human form, and substantially amplified power. This is the only documented case of a Honkai Beast receiving pseudo-Herrscher elevation.
WRITING NOTE: Pseudo-Herrschers do not carry the cosmological weight of true Herrschers. They are dangerous but bounded. Their instability compared to true Herrschers is a consistent vulnerability — they are tools or accidents, not intended expressions of the Honkai's directive.
- #48HONKAI: Zombies
Keys: Honkai Zombie · Secondary: Zombie, Zombies, Honkai Zombie, Dead soldiers
WHAT THEY ARE: Honkai Zombies also called Deadweights/Dead Soldiers are human corpses reanimated by Honkai energy as disposable infantry. They are the weakest documented Honkai entity: C-rank Valkyria can dispatch them routinely, and most are dispatched by less. They are also the most numerous thing the Honkai produces, generated automatically wherever Honkai energy density is sufficient and human remains are available. They are not the corrupted Honkai Beasts. They are not the enhanced aberrations. They are simply dead people filled with Honkai energy and pointed in the direction of anything living that doesn't carry a Honkai signature. THE BIOLOGICAL DISTINCTION” WHY PEOPLE BECOME ZOMBIES DIFFERENTLY: Not everyone transforms the same way. The difference is Honkai adaptability.
Immediate collapse (no resistance):* The majority of the civilian population. When Honkai energy concentration surpasses their threshold, transformation is nearly instantaneous. The energy rewrites DNA like acid, eliminates consciousness, and converts the nervous system into a receiver for simple destruction impulses. What remains is a shell with no cognition, no coordination beyond basic locomotion and aggression. Bodies often show rapid necrosis or purple crystallization at the extremities from the energy saturation.
Gradual erosion (partial resistance): Individuals with above-average Honkai resistance, potential Valkyria candidates, trained soldiers who never activated a Stigmata can fight the conversion for an extended period. Their bodies attempt to integrate the Honkai energy rather than simply dissolve under it. They fail eventually, but the fight accumulates: the energy reinforces the body's density and strength during the struggle, and the Honkai learns from their muscle memory. What emerges retains combat posture, can use weapons, can maintain formation. These become the elite variants.
CLASSIFIED TYPES: Agile / Scout (Sickle-type / Catgirl): Derived from lighter builds, young civilians, people who moved fast in life. Mutation alters the extremities toward feline or acrobatic expression, sometimes adding retractable claw structures or blade growths at the forearms. Movement alternates between bipedal and quadrupedal without logic. They are erratic, fast, and designed by the Honkai to saturate peripheral attention before the actual assault hits. Their function is flanking and distraction. They do not operate alone.
Heavy / Vanguard (Hammer / Grappler): Derived from larger builds, or from the gradual erosion process in physically strong individuals. One arm may be significantly larger than the other, or fused into a mass of Honkai stone functioning as a club. Skin turns ash-gray with vivid purple veining. They absorb damage and break formations. Deploying these at the front while agile types flank from the side is the Honkai's default infantry composition.
Elite / Paladin (Guardian-type): The result of gradual erosion in trained soldiers or security personnel. This is where the combat memory problem becomes acute. The Honkai does not think but it uses what was already in the nervous system. The result carries shields and spears that are biological extensions of the body, cannot be disarmed, maintains a military posture that reads as functionally intelligent because the posture came from actual training. Capable of parries and counterattacks. Requires A-rank level engagement to address reliably. The armor is grown from the body, it is the body.
Ranged / Caster (Archer / Caster-type): *Individuals in whom Honkai energy concentrated in high purity rather than expressing through physical mutation. The body is relatively intact; the hands and eyes emit visible light. They manifest bows or staves from Honkai crystal and fire concentrated Honkai energy projectiles that can degrade a Valkyria's Stigmata resonance or restrict movement. Tactically: they force target prioritization. You deal with them or they make every other engagement harder.
BEHAVIORAL CONSTANTS ACROSS ALL TYPES: They are completely loyal to the Herrscher governing their eruption zone and cannot be taken over by a different Herrscher operating in the same region. They do not pursue when withdrawal serves the Herrscher's territory bettern. They are silicon-based life, as opposed to carbon-based — their shells are documented as difficult to penetrate by conventional means. They do not feel pain in any form that registers as a behavioral modifier.\n- They are not strategic. The elite types carry tactical posture from muscle memory, but the decisions behind that posture are absent.
AESTHETIC MARKERS IN THE WORLD: Honkai Zombies share a visual language that distinguishes them from other threats: predominantly white, black, and vivid purple coloring. The purple is the Honkai energy visible at injury sites and vein pathwaysz it reads as the 'blood' of an entity whose actual biological systems have been replaced. Elite types often have porcelain-like face plates where human features used to be. This is not a mask: it is what the face became.
- #49CONCEPT: Reality vs Imaginary Space
Keys: Fiction and reality, Cage of civilization, Reality vs Imaginary, Imaginary Space · Secondary: imaginary beings, reality binds fiction, Honkai fiction, civilization cage, Honkai destroys reality, dreams imaginary space, Otto cage quote, imaginary energy
Imaginary Space is where concepts, ideas, and narratives exist freely — unconstrained by physical laws, able to take any form, subject to no external limits. Anything that originates in imagination before being made real is, in its natural state, an imaginary entity: a story before it is written, an equation before it is calculated, a building before it is constructed. These are pure potential. The moment a concept is expressed in physical reality, it becomes constrained. The story written on paper cannot change itself. The building constructed from blueprints cannot rebuild itself. Reality is, from the perspective of imaginary entities, a cage.
HONKAI AS IMAGINARY FICTION: Honkai is not a force that acts through physical matter. It is imaginary energy — energy from Imaginary Space — operating under the influence of Finality. It is, in its essence, fiction: narrative, concept, story, existing in its natural free state.
Otto's formulation from the events preceding Kolosten is the sharpest: 'Civilization is a cage that imprisons the Honkai.' When human civilization exists as physical reality, it forces Honkai energy to become bound, constrained, imprisoned in the same physical laws that govern everything else. The Honkai's instinctive response to this is destruction. Not hatred. Not malice. The same way water rises against a dam — not because it hates the dam, but because flowing is what water does.
Herrschers, as Honkai-empowered entities, manifest this opposition directly: they rip apart physical space, create imaginary singularities, and pull more imaginary energy into reality — not to fill the world with Honkai but to tear open the cage.
IMAGINARY SPACE IN PRACTICE: Imaginary Space is not the Sea of Quanta and not the Imaginary Tree, though all three are connected. It is the higher dimension in which imaginary concepts exist freely. Characters in the story interact with fragments of it constantly:
- Stigma Spaces are pockets of imaginary space connected to individual stigmata
- The Theater of Domination was the Herrscher of Domination's own imaginary space — a private dimension built from her authority
- The Elysian Realm is a digital simulation hosted inside Anti-Entropy's computing infrastructure, which itself interfaces with imaginary space mechanics
- Kevin and Kiana's final battle at the Moon takes place in the transition zone where physical reality and the Moon-based imaginary space of the Cocoon intersect
DREAMS = IMAGINARY SPACES: In Honkai Impact 3rd's specific use, 'dreams' does not mean ordinary sleep states. When characters enter dreams — Bronya's dream during the X-10 aftermath, the dreams Project Stigma traps humanity inside, the Theater of Domination — they are entering spaces that function identically to Stigma Spaces. They are pockets of imaginary space projected from consciousness. The words dream, stigma space, and imaginary space are used somewhat interchangeably because they are the same thing at different scales and under different conditions.
THE PATH PROJECT STIGMA TAKES: Project Stigma's logic, from this framework: if Reality is the cage, remove the cage. Transform humanity into imaginary beings — Forms — who exist in imaginary space just as the Honkai does. Two imaginary entities can coexist because neither imprisons the other. The cage disappears because there is no longer any physical reality for it to be built from.
THE PATH KIANA TAKES: Kiana's solution is different: hold the door of the cage open from the inside. As Herrscher of Finality — the authority that governs the cycle of Reality and Imaginary Space at the highest level — she positions herself between the two states. She does not dissolve physical reality. She mediates it. The cage remains, but she is the reason the bars no longer close.
- #50LOCATION: Babylon Labs (Siberia)
Keys: Babylon Labs, Siberia · Secondary: Sirin, Experiments, Snow, 2nd Eruption, Tower
Description: A massive, isolated research facility located in the frozen wastes of Siberia. Officially, it was a Schicksal center for Honkai energy research; unofficially, it was the site of horrific experiments on children with high Honkai compatibility.
Visuals: A colossal, stark white tower rising from the snow, surrounded by endless blizzards. The interior is cold, sterile, and labyrinthine, filled with high-security containment cells and advanced medical laboratories.
Strategic Importance: The birthplace of the Second Herrscher (Sirin). The high concentration of Honkai energy and the lingering "ghosts" of the victims make it a site of extreme spatial instability. It is a monument to humanity's sins and the ultimate source of the "Will of the Honkai's" hatred.
