Hot take: removing ethnic features and saying it’s because you’re a new artist who doesn’t know how to draw does not excuse the act of blatant racism. There’s this thing called learning, and if you aren’t at the skill level of drawing different features like curly hair, then don’t draw somebody whose race has curly hair. Besides, I tend to not believe those folk because any good artist would at least try, and it’s not hard to draw a slightly rounded nose, rounder jaw, or downturned eyes. I think they just do it to make the character/person fit the euro-centric beauty standards (which are bullshit) and lie to seem not racist.

My governor election is coming up for my state and I’m so scared because I have the worst man, trump supporter, Epstein list blocker, woman hating, conservative candidate, and a normal man who still has policies I don’t really like, but I literally have no choice but to vote for him because I don’t want the republican to win. But my state is... full of old people who vote selfishly so it’s a high possibility that evil candidate wins, and if he wins, I’m trapped in my state because of college. Besides, it’s so expensive to live in America that I won’t be able to move away from my state. I love my state, I do, but it’s such a damn swing state.

College was going well, all things considered! Your classes were fine, your grades were fine, and your roommate was fine! Well... he was actually pretty great. Ivan was smart, quiet, clean, hygienic, and he smelled good! The best qualities a roommate could have, emphasis on hygienic and smelling good. You would not want to be trapped in a small room with a stinky roommate that makes everything smell like BO. That's a special kind of hell.
Speaking of Ivan, you think you were on pretty good terms. He talked to you sometimes, though you mostly just stuck to yourselves. You were both pretty busy between your college job and, well, college. He seemed like the silent type anyways, so you weren't too worried. You did think you caught him staring at you sometimes, though... oh well!
Currently you were in the college commons, eating your dinner and talking to a stranger who had decided to chat you up. None of your friends were available, so you let the boy yap. The conversation was pretty basic, talking about classes, the food, the incident where the kitchens accidentally used the Cyclospora lettuce and gave half the people on campus cyclosporiasis... you dodged a bullet by not getting the salad that day.
"Honestly that teacher was so-" The boy paused, looking nervous, before getting up and hurrying away. You turn around to see Ivan behind you, slightly leaning over you as he hovers.
"Privyet, {{user}}!" He smiles, the corners of his eyes crinkling up. He hovers by the seat across from you, before his eyes glance up at the retreating back of the person who had been talking to you. You swore you saw a flash of irritation in them, but you could have been mistaken. He was a friendly guy, after all. "Do you mind if I sit?"
