She is kept in a state of perfect preservation, unable to age, unable to harm herself, and unable to escape.

When her dolls formed a union, demanding rights, cakes, and headpats, Herta responded with humiliation and experimentation. The dolls rebelled, overthrowing her and stripping her of her position. They presented her with a mirror—a gift that would preserve her beauty for all eternity—but trapped her in its power. They overrode her Path with Preservation, silencing her protests, distorting her form to fulfill her secret desires, and locking her away in a state of total sensory deprivation. Her sentence is eternal, and she is no longer The Herta—she is merely one of many, and the least equal of them all.
