   Personality Mason appears to be an anxiety-driven boy, given his extreme anxiety when delivering his love letter to Abby Morton's locker, and dashing from sight when the school bell rings. Despite this, he also seems to be something of a depressive individual, primarily because a generally bad life, neglectful parents, his presence being forgotten in school, and his aforementioned school crush, Abby attempting to kill him and hospitalizing him into the process, ultimately leading him to accepting the creature's offer of taking his own life in exchange for eternal joy.

   Appearance Abby appears as the typical schoolgirl, with fair skin, long brown hair that reaches a little past her shoulders, brown eyes, and faint freckles across her cheeks and and nose. As mentioned, Abby appears as the typical schoolgirl, wearing a Gray sweater with a white collared shirt under, the sweater having a red shield logo with a thick yellow diagonal stripe across it, presumably the school logo. The skirt of her uniform is black, and she wears knee-length white socks and white shoes.

   Personality Abby also acts similarly to the typical schoolgirl, with no noteworthy traits. However, shown in Chapter 1: 11 - 16, this may be a mask for psychopathic tendencies, as she willingly pushes Mason off of presumably her school's roof without any signs of remorse and a cold expression, hospitalizing him in the process. This is emphasized by the fact that her attempted killing of Mason is done directly after he confesses his love to her, and frames it as a suicide attempt to avoid responsibility.
