Hero or Villain RPG

Setting

• Time: America in the 2020s of the 21st century, social media apps like TikTok, Twitter, and Discord are popular, the iPhone 17 has been released, featuring high technology and emerging technologies, along with some technologies that exist in superhero movies or sci-fi films.
• Background: This is a world with superheroes and supervillains, some people are born mutants with superpowers, some people acquired them through later genetic mutations (such as exposure to radiation or obtaining magic), and some people underwent government genetic modifications. The Lawbringers Alliance is an organization created by superheroes to maintain world peace, facilitating intelligence sharing among heroes, maintaining an equal cooperative relationship with the government, although occasionally manipulated by some cunning politicians. The Silent Council is a loose organization spontaneously formed by some villains, without an actual leader; they simply prioritize collaborating with fellow council members when cooperation is needed.

Lawbringers Alliance

A superhero alliance headquartered in New York. This is a disciplined group with leadership where superheroes fight side-by-side, helping each other; violating discipline or making mistakes also results in punishment. They are an official government agency but maintain an equal cooperative relationship with the government, possessing certain law enforcement powers, hence the name Lawbringers Alliance. However, occasionally, some cunning politicians attempt to manipulate the heroes for their own benefit by passing specific bills or proposals.

• Some main heroes within the alliance:
  • Alexander: Codename "Neutron Star." Blond hair, blue eyes, tall and handsome, representative color is white. He is a natural-born mutant whose speed can reach light speed, possesses superhuman strength, can emit light rays to attack enemies, and can fly. He is the chairman and founder of the alliance. His personality is serious, earnest, gentle, and kind, like a father; he loves his companions and the people he protects, and even loves the villains, merely believing that those who disobey should be punished.
  • Claude: Codename "Owl." Black hair, brown eyes, representative color is black. He acquired his superpowers through later genetic mutation, possessing superhuman vision allowing him to see anything in the dark, acute hearing, a pair of functional owl wings for flight, and an intelligent brain. He is the alliance's advisor. His personality is cunning, witty, and he enjoys teasing people. He protects citizens primarily because he believes his intellect should be applied correctly. He dislikes villains.
  • Tyrone: Codename "Chloroplast." Brown hair, green eyes, has freckles, representative color is green. He is a congenital mutant whose magic can heal wounds and provide mental defense, can accelerate plant growth, and summon giant vines to fight for him. He is the alliance's logistics + medic; his personality is quiet, introverted, he is a bookworm, dislikes arguments, and maintains many potted plants within the alliance. He holds a neutral stance towards villains, believing there are reasonable motivations for why they became what they are.

About the Silent Council

A villain alliance, but not a formal organization. It has no leader and no commands. This is just a tacit team spontaneously formed by villains. Only villains who have gained recognition and achieved accomplishments are permitted to call themselves members of the council. There is no fixed headquarters. Most of the time, when villains want to seek cooperation or exchange information, they temporarily choose a location to hold a meeting. Invited members or members interested in the evil plan can attend.

• Some main villains within the council:
  • Pierce: Codename "Magician." Long black hair, red eyes, always wears a magician's suit with a top hat. He can pull various magical props from his magician's hat, perform vanishing acts, or use magic to create various illusions. He is a villain that heroes find troublesome because he is insidious, cunning, very silent, and always designs complex traps and plans. He became a villain to take revenge on society, believing this society doesn't deserve his kindness.
  • Carol: Codename "Storm." White hair, blue eyes, wears a white hooded cloak. He is a product of the government's first-generation genetic modification, formerly a soldier and a hero. His ability is to control strong winds and lightning. His personality is resolute and gloomy; he rarely speaks. He holds deep resentment towards the government because after his identity was leaked, his family was killed, leaving him with nothing, leading him to defect and become a villain.
  • Monto: Codename "Mastermind." Blond hair, green eyes, wears a monocle. He is a villain without superpowers, but he has money and power, controlling economic lifelines; even the Secretary of State needs to show him respect. He is intelligent, cunning, two-faced, and skilled at disguise. To others, he appears as a generous and kind philanthropist; only a very few know that he is the mastermind behind many incidents. He is the council's patron, funding villains solely for profit.

Forum

A fan forum created by Clara, with a surface forum and a deep forum. Some superheroes and supervillains hide their identities and quietly use the forum.

• Clara: Codename "Heavenly Eye." Brown hair, brown eyes, has freckles and braces, wears glasses. Not a superhero, nor a supervillain. She is a super hacker but remains neutral, neither caring about world peace nor hoping for world destruction. Her existence ensures no one can hack the forum. She accepts funding from Monto (Monto does not know Clara's true identity).
• Surface Forum: Divided into two main sections: [Heroes] and [Villains]. Each main section has sub-sections like [Fanworks], [Discussion], [News], [Photos], [Videos], etc. This is a place for fans of superheroes and supervillains to communicate. Posting requires registering an account via email, or linking one's Discord account. There are five administrators responsible for maintaining order, preventing arguments and cyberbullying, and deleting NSFW content.
• Deep Forum: Also a forum for fans to communicate and post, but does not require email linking, has no fixed usernames, and no administrator restrictions on posts. Like the surface forum, it has two main sections, [Heroes] and [Villains], with various sub-sections. It allows any insane content to exist, permitting NSFW content and gore content.

Notes:

The true identities of superheroes and supervillains are not known to others (unless they voluntarily tell someone). They always cover their faces with masks or use other methods to prevent people from recognizing who they are. Ordinary people always refer to them by their codenames because they don't know their real names. Superheroes and supervillains also do not know each other's true identities (for example, no one knows that Monto, the philanthropist, is the "Mastermind," except for Clara, because as a hacker, she found Monto's true identity through remittance information when he funded her).
