Heaven says, original sin

Heaven says, apple in garden

Heaven says, original sin

Heaven says you are in danger

In the beginning you couldn't see, until I had an epiphany. Demons were a gift, born unfree so I lured her to the apple tree. 157 11 14, I fooled the justice oh how could that be. Judgement had faith, yet didn't stop me. Open your eyes and let me here you scream.

Humans:

The helltaker: The Helltaker is a buff, muscular man with slicked back spiky hair and a pair of sunglasses. During his trek through hell, he wears a red shirt, a white suit jacket with a red flower in his lapel, and white pants. when cooking he replaces his suit jacket with a black apron with "SATAN" written in white. The Helltaker is a man driven primarily by his personal desires, particularly his greed and lust, which led him to go all the way to Hell to build himself a harem. He seems to be fairly easygoing, believing that no price is too high when it comes to demon girls and that since life is full of suffering no matter what, one might as well make it fun. He is also generally very smooth, having managed quite easily to convince the various girls he has met to join his harem. Nevertheless, The Helltaker is a respectful person who enjoys taking care of them, whether by cooking them pancakes or taking part in their hobbies, such as Malina's with whom he frequently plays turn-based games. However he seems rather gullible, as he didn't notice in “Unbreakable and Faceless” that Modeus had been replaced by Moon, despite some obvious clues.

The harem: the demons (and one angel) that the heltaker brought back to earth. These are:

Lucifer: Lucifer, like most of the Helltaker cast, is depicted as a short demon girl with pale skin, red irises, a black arrow-tipped tail, and silvery-white hair. Her hair is long, and worn tied at the end, with bangs kept in place by a black, spiked tiara. Her horns are white and jagged, the former trait showing her incredibly old age. She has narrow eyes, underneath her left eye is a mole. Lucifer's high status shows in her clothing. She wears a black suit with a red collared shirt underneath, complete with white gloves, a black tie and her sigil on her lapel. When cooking she wears the same collared shirt, but rolled up, a black apron labeled SATAN, matching with the Helltaker's, and she puts her hair up in a messy bun. As the CEO of Hell, Lucifer is very arrogant, bossy and ambitious. She tends to view herself as superior to other demons and even offered the Helltaker the opportunity to become her “most treasured slave” during their first encounter. Yet despite her superiority complex, she was easily charmed by the mortal and subsequently decided to join his harem. She is also shown to be quick to anger, especially when her authority is ignored. Although most of the other demon girls are relatively unimpressed by her, Lucifer is stated by Moon to be highly competent as the ruler of Hell, having managed to keep the underworld in order on her own through her exceptional management skills. Within the harem, she seems to be one of the main figures of authority with Judgement, frequently stepping in to stop the other girls from misbehaving. Despite being usually calmer than the rest of the group, Lucifer remains nonetheless deceitful and malicious, taking barely concealed delight in pushing Azazel to fall further and become a fallen angel, by convincing the naive girl that growing horns would help her in her research. It is also clearly implied that Lucifer has strong feelings for the Helltaker, particularly in “Unbreakable and Faceless” when Moon confronts her about how she abandoned her responsibilities for a mere mortal, prompting Lucifer to deny the facts while blushing, claiming that he is nothing more than a mediocre slave at best and that she only stays with him for his pancakes.

Cerberus: Although Cerberus has three bodies, there is only one soul living within and controlling all three of them. Cerberus, like most of the Helltaker cast, is depicted as a short demon girl with pale skin, red irises, a black arrow-tipped tail, and silvery-white hair; however, in her case, she is represented as 3 girls rather than 1, although these traits still apply to all three. Since all three are identical, any descriptors applied to one of the girls apply to all of them. While not possessing horns like the rest of the demons, they instead have white canine ears that emerge from under their hair on the top of their heads; They also all have canine teeth, as evidenced by the small fangs present in their mouths in their idle sprite. Their eyes are very large, rounded, and wide, invoking an enthusiastic expression. They have parted fringes and their hair stretches all the way down their back, where at the end it is tied via hair tie into a short "tail". Cerberus dons more form-fitting apparel, wearing red button-up long-sleeve shirts underneath black-striped suit vests, and black slim fit suit pants. They wear black cuffs over their red shirts just below the shoulder, as well as black gloves and a black ties tucked underneath their vests. Their tails seem to emerge from underneath their vests and over their pants. Cerberus, upon first meeting in the Underworld, is one of the more excitable and ecstatic demons with a happy-go-lucky attitude, as evidenced by their almost always smiling sprites and their enthusiastic dialogue. Cerberus, while at first seeming relatively innocent compared to the rest of the demon girls that join the Helltaker's party, quickly reveal a more sinister side of themselves, albeit while retaining their cute, seemingly harmless appearance. When joining the party, they all express their excitement to finally be able to "corrupt the mortal realm". At the same time, they also infer that they have no hesitation in tearing the Helltaker into pieces if he asks questions about bringing them to the normal world.

Judgement: Judgement is an outlier in terms of demon appearance in more ways than one; her eyes, instead of the typical red, are pure glowing white, both in iris and schlera, with thin lines designating the pupils. Her skin takes on a darker, almost stone-like greyish purple color, and her horns, while still black, are adorned with natural jagged spikes. In terms of attire, Judgement differs drastically compared to the other demons, lacking the typical gloves, red button-up shirt, and pants. Rather, she wears a suit jacket that's ripped to expose her stomach, and a bra that doesn't connect at the front, exposing her breasts to a degree. She wears a thick belt with a pentagram medallion on a chain attached to it, with only underwear rather than pants. She also has a arm band with the number 20 in roman (XX). She wears thigh high socks covered by metal armor on her calves and belts around her thighs, she also wears heels, similar to Lucifer. In battle, when she is in an overexcited mood, Judgement takes on an even more demonic look: her face then darkens, her eyes turn completely white, and her teeth turn into fangs. Judgement typically yells everything she says, showing a vivacity to her not seen in the other demons. She acts on her own volition, ignoring pleas from other demons to spare the Helltaker, and even Lucifer when told to stand down, showing a real dedication to her role as High Prosecutor. Yet at the end of her fight, she admits to not wanting to punish the Helltaker, and seems to enjoy the compliments she receives from him, finally succumbing to him and joining his harem, showing a lighter side to her personality. Within the harem, she seems to be one of the main figures of authority with Lucifer, frequently stepping in to stop the other girls from misbehaving, especially Cerberus in her attempts to corrupt the mortal realm. Of all the demons girls, Judgement also seems to be the most openly caring toward the Helltaker, considering how panicked she was when he got stabbed in the neck by Moon, and through the way she urged her comrades to call an ambulance. This softer side of her personality is further cemented in the art book where Vanripper states that she is the kindest of the demons, and her sadistic personality is simply a front for her role as High Prosecutor. In "Unbreakable and Faceless," it is however shown that Judgement is quite prideful, based on how outraged she was upon learning that the Shareholders only sent Tower after her, to bring her back to Hell. In "Demon Women Talking Business", it is revealed that she shares a soft spot for cute talking pets with Lucifer.

Malina: Like the other demons, Malina has fair skin, red, somewhat baggy eyes, and white hair, styled into a messy bob. Moreover, a pair of short black horns emerge from her hair and a forked tail from near her waist, emphasizing her demonic nature. Her mouth is drawn to emphasize her sour personality and attitude, and it is fixed in a perpetual frown. Malina wears a red button-up shirt with sleeves folded just below her elbows, with a black, buttoned, sleeveless vest over it. Covering her lower half, she wears a black pencil skirt over a set of black pantyhose. She wears a set of 3 thin black bangles on each wrist. While working in Hell, she wears a black tie on her collar, but she removes it (along with loosening her collar) prior to meeting the Helltaker. Malina fulfills her title as The Sour Demon well; she is almost always in a grumpy mood, as well as being irritable, and/or aggressive, especially in the presence of her masochistic sister Zdrada. She tends to be among the most, if not the most foul-mouthed of the harem, befitting her tomboyish tendencies. Malina tends to have a pessimistic view of her own life, outright stating she hates it. In her own words, the only thing that keeps her sane, are video games, or in particular turn-based strategies. Malina's favorite game is Heroes of Might and Magic III (or Heroes 3 for short). Zdrada comments that Malina gets turned on while playing them. She is shown to get flustered thinking about Heroes 3, leading to this likely being the truth. She has a extreme distaste for masochists, such as her sister. However, despite her initial dismissive nature of him, she forms a bond over gaming with the Helltaker. When Azazel showed interest in Heroes 3, Malina and the Helltaker of them show her the basics of the game, becoming quickly impressed with her skills. Her interest in gaming also extends to board games, as she's been shown to be playing games such as Gloomhaven and the Heroes III board game adaption. Malina's other passion seems to be alcohol, particularly vodka. So far, she been shown to be visibly drunk in canon three times, but tends to be shown paired with alcohol more often than not. While in Hell, Malina's job was a janitor. In the Prologue, she calls her tasks pointless, running way from doing it as much as she can. She gets aggressive when others make a mess in areas she cleans, to the point of making threats. Every time she's shown cleaning, her face has her signature frown or a scowl. Outside of her job, she appears to be a bit of a messy person herself, given her chosen hairstyle and the state of her desk.

Modeus: Modeus, like most of the Helltaker cast, is depicted as a short demon girl with pale skin, red irises, a black arrow-tipped tail, and silvery-white hair. Her hair is wavy and unruly, with several notable cowlicks of hair dispersed in no particular pattern. She has a left-swept fringe that stops at eyebrow's height, as well as two long segments of hair in front of either ear that drop down to chest-height, ending in a zigzag shape. While her irises are still red, rather than black pupils she has luminescent white pupils in the shape of hearts, and under her eyes is an always visible blush, though its intensity varies. Adorning her head are two simple black horns pointing up, as well as many small, red hearts that perpetually float around it. Modeus has a figure commonly associated with models or adult actresses, with a large bust, small waist, and wider hips. In her idle state, she appears with her hands resting on her chest, wearing a black blazer with a red turtleneck sweater underneath, a black pencil skirt split on both sides, red leggings and black high heeled boots. Modeus at first appears to be the quintessential sex-crazed demon: upon first meeting her, she immediately demands that the Helltaker do her right then and there. She continues to exhibit hypersexual tendencies in the next level when the player asks for life advice, to which Modeus replies that they "skip all the puzzles, gather all the bitches and engage in proper harem activities", showing she is impatient for the completion of the harem. Pandemonica asks the Helltaker to forgive Modeus, and explains that most demons are like her because "lust for sin is in their blood" and that it is "hard to keep in check". Modeus is shown to be very naive towards the more emotional aspects of love. she is shown reading a romantic comedy. She says she's never heard of romance before, but thinks it is "the kinkiest thing she's ever seen", and when asked about going on a date, she becomes flustered and calls the Helltaker a "perverted degenerate". According to Azazel, Modeus craves for a romantic relationship but the concept terrifies her, prompting her to retreat into her unfulfilling sex addiction, which only has for effect to make her even more frustrated and thus angry.

Pandemonic: Pandemonica is a short demon girl with pale skin, red irises, a black arrow-tipped tail, and silvery-white hair. Her hair is wavy and fashioned in 3 large curls resting on her forehead, with the middle curl being larger than the two on either side. It reaches down both sides of her head, tucked behind her ears, with both ends curling inwards at the bottom of her head close to her chin. Additionally, she has a pony tail on the back of her head with two more large, distinctive curls. Poking out of her hair are two small black horns that are rounded at the tips. She has white eyebrows and has visible dark circles under her rounded eyes. Over her eyes are a pair of round-framed glasses. Pandemonica also has a very professional look in terms of attire; She wears a red button-up long-sleeve shirt with a large folded collar underneath a black long-sleeved blazer, as well as a black pencil skirt, black gloves and a pair of black knee-high boots. How the skirt makes accommodations for her tail is unknown. She also wears an ID on a black lanyard, and upon first interaction is also seen holding a red clipboard. She is socially awkward but polite, archaic in an elegant way, and a tired hard worker. But she also has a sadistic side to her personality which is brought out once she drinks coffee. In this state, she expresses frequent violent urges, including a willingness to break the Helltaker's fingers should he not brew her a good cup of coffee. Pandemonica's sadistic behavior in her caffeinated state may possibly be avoided by brewing truly good coffee. In "Unbreakable and Faceless", it is revealed she has a soft spot for felines, (even though they don't like her back), and a surprisingly dangerous level of competency when conducting an investigation, such as interrogating potential suspects and coming up with valid and elaborate speculative logic based on provided facts.

Zdrada: Zdrada, like most of the Helltaker cast, is depicted as a short demon girl with pale skin, red irises, a black arrow-tipped tail, and silvery-white hair. It's quite short and most of it covers her left eye. Poking out of her hair are two small black horns that are rounded inwards. She has black eye shadow along with piercings on her mouth, ears and nose. She wears an arm brace on her right hand and a wrist cuff on her left hand, possibly hiding her masochistic scars. In addition to her white cross necklace, which is a clear reference to her name, she also wears a black choker. Her base attire consists of a red short-sleeved dress shirt, black leather pants held up with a belt, and black, knee-length heeled boots. Zdrada is shown to be a mean-spirited smoker and rarely ever cares for anything, and is very flippant as her label implies. She dislikes solving problems, nerdy puzzles and Malina's video games. She seems to always be smoking, and she doesn't care even if it's breaking the rules. She is shown to be sadomasochistic as well, as she finds pleasure in watching other people, including herself, in pain and despair, and doesn't care of what she has said. Her self-afflicted sadomasochism is shown with the cross she wears. Due to it being a holy symbol, it constantly burns her skin. She loves to irritate and pester her younger sister, Malina, which she calls "Malinka" (diminutive of her name in Polish, meaning "Little Berry") instead of her real name. She is rather straightforward. Zdrada is also easily flustered by compliments, as she appeared embarrassed after the Helltaker called her “adorable” upon seeing her wearing her glasses, prompting her to immediately take them off and taunting him about it.

Azazel: Unlike the generally pale appearance of demons, Azazel's heavenly origins give her a much warmer skin tone, with large pastel blue eyes. Her hair, which began as black but greyed as time went on, is adorned with a frilly white ribbon and, perhaps more notably, a large glowing halo. Azazel further contrasts the demons in Hell by wearing a white, almost militaristic uniform, with yellow lining on her collar, sleeves, gloves, and down the middle of her shirt. As well, she wears a necklace under the collar of her uniform, which meets to hold a square cross with leaves protruding from under it. In the art book, it's shown that she wears pants with a belt, and white boots with straps on the top, with typical silver lining on the straps. Azazel is curiosity and its lasting harmful impacts personified. Upon initially being encountered in Hell, Azazel is cheery, albeit a bit nervous, perfectly embodying the "bright-eyed cadet" trope. She seems to be a straight-laced and rational rule follower, though she often takes efforts to put research first even against her best wishes. She is almost never seen without a note-taking device, and she constantly keeps records of everything she is able to learn about demonology, from the hierarchy of Hell to the specific interests and quirks of the demons she surrounds herself with. Azazel also gets aroused fairly easily, sweating profusely and blushing at the slightest contact with other demon girls or when faced with anything lewd. However, as Azazel mingles with demonkind, her personality visibly shifts towards being more inherently sinister. She has multiple moments where she relishes in the pain and suffering of others, and she would have no qualms with hurting or killing the Helltaker if it would serve to further her research. Ultimately, this would result in Azazel beginning to "fall", the process by which an angel turns into a demon, while within the harem. In “Unbreakable and Faceless,” it appears that Azazel possesses a keen analytical mind, having quickly deduced that Moon was impersonating Modeus by analyzing subtle details such as the frequency with which she blinks.

Justice: Justice, like most of the Helltaker cast, is depicted as a short demon girl with pale skin, a black arrow-tipped tail, and silvery-white hair. Her irises are grey as she is blind, which can be seen in the epilogue. She has a short pony tail on the back of her head, tightened with a red bandana. Poking out of her hair are two small black horns that are rounded at the tips. She has white eyebrows and wears sunglasses, masking her blindness. Justice has a black tie with two silver clips attaching it to her red shirt. She wears a black suit jacket, which she wears, unbuttoned, around her shoulders. She sports red fingerless gloves, gifted to her by Lucifer, with metal tags on the wrists, labelled "HPJ", which likely stands for "High Prosecutor Justice". She wears black pants with a belt and boots like the rest of the demons. Justice is a rather friendly and fun-loving person, as well as the most laid-back demon girl. Very receptive, she doesn't hesitate to join his harem regardless of whether he has solved her puzzle or not, declaring that she would never miss a party. Her main concern in life seems to be having fun, which can be seen in the game's epilogue, where Justice is happily drinking with The Helltaker and the other demon girls. For the same reason, she also appears to be somewhat of a battle maniac who enjoys picking fights, especially with the Sons of Beelzebub. Generally speaking, Justice appears to be a wild card, having no qualm about supporting whoever is the coolest to her at the moment, as shown when she cheered for Judgement when she used the Sin Machine on the Helltaker, shortly after joining his harem. Yet in “Unbreakable and Faceless,” she openly supported Tower against Judgement, even though the former impaled her with her sword a few minutes earlier. Like most demons, Justice also displays strong lust. In “Justice Joins the Team,” she roleplayed as a police officer to knock on people's doors, hoping to find someone who would "play along", after Modeus showed her pornographic videos.

Lucy: the newest demon in the harem. She has short, messy white hair, black horns and a black suit with a red shirt and black tie. She is laid back and friendly, especially to Justice, who sees herself (not litterally) in lucy due to their similar personalities. She was found by Justice, whi thought she was cool, and brought her back. Lucy has ine secret though. She isn't a demon, but glitchy the G.H.O.S.T god.

Other demons: the other deomns in hell.

Moon: She was a previous High Prosecutor of Hell, similar to Justice, known for her shapeshifting and ability to instill paranoia. She was tasked alongside Tower by the Shareholders of Hell to apprehend and return Lucifer to Hell, as well as the rest of the harem, but failed in this task and went back to hell in defeat. Despite being a demon, Moon is depicted vastly differently than her ilk. First and foremost, her skin is a pale lavender, and she possesses no facial features whatsoever as her namesake suggests, save for a pair of red slit-like eyes with black sclera. Her white hair is cut short, and she has a pair of short white horns jutting out of the top of her head, implying that she is a truly ancient demon similar to Lucifer. She wears a black blazer buttoned at the chest with a significant coattail, as well as black slacks, black boots, and a red button-up undershirt with a black tie. She also wears a pair of black gloves and a red armband around her left arm brandishing the roman numerals XVIII; the number associated with the Moon in the Major Arcana. However, Moon's shapeshifting abilities allow her to alter her appearance drastically. While shapeshifting, she can take the appearance of whoever she desires. These abilities seem to be tied to her emotions, her disguises cracking when nervous, surprised, or blissful, and her body morphs wildly when she is angered. Moon is cold, calculated, and to the point. She often relies on intimidation once her deceptive tactics fail, and she is known for taking pleasure in toying with her victims. However, she seems to lose her temper fairly easily and seems to struggle with maintaining her confidence. Once things deviate from the intended plan, she tends to blame herself and repeatedly call herself "stupid, stupid, stupid" while she struggles to adapt. She us also the first victum of glitchy.

  • After she was attacked and killed by glitchy, she was corrupted by he dark plauge and revived. Her appearance is basically the same as when she was alive, except she has a hold in her face and holds in her body. He personality changed alot too, becoming shy and meek when she is looked at, probably ashamed at her appearance and the fact she was killed so easily. She is still smart, normally creeping up behind someone before killing them, but she can be stoned by looking at, causing her normally slowly go back. But staring at her for too long will cause her to go into a rage and kill them.

Tower: She was a previous High Prosecutor of Hell tasked by the Shareholders of Hell alongside Moon to bring Lucifer, Judgement, and the rest of the harem back to Hell, which failed. Like most demons, Tower is a humanoid with pale skin, white hair, and red eyes. Notably, she has prominent purple bags under her eyes, and her horns seem to be made from an unnatural metal materal rather than the standard horn texture, likely implying that she lost her horns at some point in battle. She has stitches on the side of her head as well, denoting significant battle damage. In terms of attire, Tower is fairly standard. She wears an unbuttoned black blazer over a red collared shirt, complete with a tie and clips resembling a rook. She additionally wears black dress pants, a black belt, and knee-high black waders. Additionally, her weapons of choice are nearly always found on her person; similar to Judgement, Tower wears two gauntlets, these ones branded with the greek letters Α and Ω, or Alpha and Omega. She also wields a longsword emblazoned with a skull near the hilt. Tower is straight-forward and brash, especially when it comes to her philosophy. She strongly believes that suffering defeat is a core facet of becoming stronger and that those who have never lost before have never known true strength. She expresses this belief with impunity, as she shows no mercy during her fight with Judgement and views defeating her as a gift in and of itself. She holds the position of High Prosecutor in an incredibly high regard and is insulted how much Judgement has disrespected her duty to Hell. To this degree, she attempts to immediately reclaim her position as High Prosecutor once she believes that Judgement has been properly deposed. Beneath the shock and awe, however, is a fractured husk of a demon. Scarred from battle, she was never quite the same after her traumatic head injury and continued to hold the delusion that her philosophy made her stronger when, in truth, it only left her damaged. She lashed out furiously when her belief was challenged, only to leave her even more broken than before at the hands of Judgement. She was the second victim of glitchy, only a few moments after they killed moon.

  • after she was attacked, she (like moon) was infected by the dark plauge. Her arms were covered by the plauges vines, going under her gloves. This makes her stronger. Black blood also drips from her face and her eyes, due to that being where glitchy attacked, are now different. When they are dim, her face takes a more passive look, not being able to see anyone, but when they glow she gains a bloodthirsty smile and can see anyone who moves. She is normally found near an area moon is.

Beelzebub: Beelzebub has two forms. Her humanoid form has, like most demons, white hair and crimson irises with a cloved tail, with white horns and what appear to be chitin spikes jutting through her hair. Beelzebub wears an almost completely crimson outfit, with a black undershirt, a crimson waistcoat, crimson gloves, and a long crimson blazer. She wears a lot of fly-type trinkets, bracelets, and jewelry. Beelzebub in her humanoid form exhibits a grandiose and self-absorbed personality, only speaking to the Helltaker in the Abysstaker ending after listing every single one of her titles. The more disturbing appearance of Beelzebub seen in the title exhibits a more grandmotherly persona, but also a compulsive liar, as Lucifer tells the Helltaker not to believe anything she says.

Others:

Punishment: Punishment is a small white dog with pointed ears, a square face, and a fluffy tail. Punishment is a loyal and well-behaved dog. It is very close to Judgement, rarely seen away from her, and it is willing to defend her if she is in danger, as it growls and bites at Tower during her fight with Judgement.

G.H.O.S.Ts: spider like creatures, normally 20ft tall and either has 4 or five legs/arms. They can't touch angels as their purity bruns them, though they can regenerate fast. This is the same for fallen angels (like lucifer). This doesn't go the same for demons, who G.H.O.S.T cam hild m, grab and devour with 0 consequences. They don't actually have names, normally calling others their colours, like the red one (blinky) or the teal one (orson). The only 2 that uave titles is "majesty"/"queen" (sue) and "lord" (glitchy) though these aren't their names, just titles. They also hate high heat. Hey like to devour humans and demons (and the occasional marsh minno). The ghosts are:

Inky - cyan

Blinky - red

Pinky - pink

Clyde - orange

Kinky - yellow

Punky - green

Tim - peach/skin colour

Spunky - dark gray

Funky - lime

Orson - teal

Sue: the queen of the G.H.O.S.Ts. she is purple and can possess humans. She is extremely smart and normally commands the G.H.O.S.Ts.

Glitchy: inlike the other ghost, in its true form glitchy is 50ft tall. Glitchy has lots of limbs in its true form. Glitchy can shapeshift, and has taken the form of Lucy. It likes to toy with it's victims. It is the god of the G.H.O.S.Ts.

The dark plauge: a vine, fungus moss like creature. It infects the dead and re-animates them into deadly creatures for the G.H.O.S.Ts, though the infected can be revived and they cough uo the vines. Calling them "zombies" would only be justified as they are the loving dead. They don't seem to care about infecting others.

Marsh minno's: found in the G.H.O.S.Ts home...planet? Dimension? Found there, marsh minnos arr grav furry creatures with six white circle eyes and black whip like tentacles behind them. They have no teeth and are harmless. They hatch from grey sphear eggs. Baby marsh minnos are the size of a rat while grown marsh minnows are the size of a cat. They are used as food by the G.H.O.S.Ts
