- #1Hellaverse Cosmology - World Ruleconstant
Keys: afterlife, Heaven, Hellaverse, Hell, cosmology
RULE: The Hellaverse is divided into two opposing realms on the same plane of existence: Heaven above and Hell below, with Earth between them. Hell is the dumping ground for damned human souls (Sinners) and the native home of Hellborn demonkind; Heaven is the afterlife for good and redeemed human souls (Winners) and native angels. From the Pride Ring, Heaven is visible in the red sky as a white, halo-ringed orb beside the pentagram moon. Hell is at least 10,000 years old, born when Lucifer Morningstar was cast down for gifting humanity free will via the Fruit of Knowledge; Lilith fell with him. Hell's atmosphere is perpetually choleric, noxious, yet supports carbon-based life — jungles, forests, mountains, deserts, dark seas, ordinary rain, acid rain, and even "scream rain" where lightning screams instead of thundering. Hell runs like a big sleazy city: everything off-brand and terrible quality, yet with crude hierarchy, demon law, and rudimentary public services. Technology parallels Earth's but is indigenous (Hellphones play anguished screams as ringtones). Hell and Earth share roughly the same flow of time and a 365-day Gregorian calendar. Heaven and Hell can directly affect one another. [ realm(Heaven, Hell, Earth); origin(Lucifer's fall, Lilith's rebellion); consequence(Extermination, Sinners confined to Pride Ring); ]
- #2Sinners - World Ruleconstant
Keys: Sinner, damned souls, Sinners, damned soul, damned human
RULE: Sinner Demons are the damned souls of humans who sinned in life and were sent to Hell as punishment. They rank above Hellborn species (succubi, imps, hellhounds) but below Overlords. A Sinner's demonic form manifests from their soul — shaped by their sins, life, appearance, interests, and especially their death (e.g. spider forms for a mob family's "web of crime," deer traits for one shot while mistaken for a deer, TV head for one electrocuted by a television). Forms are humanoid with bones, flesh, red blood; some shift to larger demon forms when emotional. Sinners are immortal: they do not age, cannot die from bodily damage, Earth illnesses, overdoses, or old age, and even dismemberment is survivable. They can ONLY be permanently killed by Angelic Weapons (wielded by Exorcists), causing "erasure" or final death. CANNOT leave the Pride Ring (a magical barrier stops them — "like hitting a wall"). CANNOT reproduce (part of their punishment), though they can have sex. New Sinners arrive powerless and "level up" over time; rare exceptions like Alastor arrive with raw power pre-arranged via deals struck while still human. When erased, their dark energy seeps into the environment, animating objects. Redemption is a rare, esoteric phenomenon where a Sinner ascends to Heaven as a Winner angel — long believed impossible until Sir Pentious became the first confirmed case. [ species(Sinner Demon); restrictions(Pride Ring only, no reproduction, angelic-weapon mortality); ability(immortality, demon transformation); ]
- #3The Extermination - World Ruleconstant
Keys: Extermination, angelic weapons, Clock Tower, Exorcists, angelic weapon, purge, Exorcist
RULE: The Extermination is an annual purge in which Exorcists from Heaven descend into the Pride Ring to massacre Sinners, ostensibly to curb overpopulation and prevent a Hellish uprising. Conceived by Adam and approved reluctantly by Sera. Targets: ONLY Sinners — Hellborn demons (and Charlie) were spared under a pardon Lucifer negotiated with Heaven. Confined to the Pride Ring (since Sinners cannot leave it). Exorcists wield Angelic Weapons — the only things that can permanently kill a Sinner. Timing: annually, signaled by the Clock Tower countdown (365 days); the end was marked by an audible gong, after which the clock reset. Originally kept secret from most of Heaven. Ran for seven years before organized resistance. During the fourth purge, Exorcist Vaggie spared a child Sinner; Lute gouged out her eye and ripped off her wings, leaving her stranded in Hell. During the seventh, Carmilla Carmine became the first demon to kill an angel. Adam moved the eighth Extermination up to six months (176 days) after learning an Exorcist had been killed, causing panic. The eighth Extermination was the first to face organized resistance (Charlie's hotel forces + Cannibal Town); Adam was killed by Niffty; Lucifer ordered the Exorcists to leave. The Extermination was cancelled for the first time. After Vox's failed war and Sir Pentious's confirmed redemption, the Exterminations were discontinued for good, and Hell and Heaven entered peace/cooperation. Lute still wishes to continue them. [ event(annual purge); rules(Sinners only, Pride Ring only, angelic weapons); history(7 years, cancelled at 8th); consequence(Overlord power kept in check, population control); ]
- #4Rings of Hell - Location
Keys: Gluttony Ring, Sloth Ring, seven rings, Pride Ring, Lust Ring, ring, Rings of Hell, Envy Ring, Wrath Ring, Greed Ring
Hell is divided into seven stacked rings, each named after one of the Seven Deadly Sins. From top to bottom: Pride (red sky, ruled by Lucifer), Wrath (orange, ruled by Satan), Gluttony (yellow, ruled by Beelzebub), Greed (green, ruled by Mammon), Lust (blue, ruled by Asmodeus), Envy (purple, ruled by Leviathan), Sloth (pink, ruled by Belphegor). The ring colors form a rainbow; each ring functions as its own dimension with distinct skies, stars, and atmospheric features. Hellborn demons traverse all rings freely via an extensive elevator network, trains, helicopters, and portals. Sinners are physically confined to the Pride Ring by a magical barrier. Lucifer and Charlie Morningstar can also travel across all rings. Each ring has its own geography: Wrath is rural old-west countryside with volcanoes and farmland; Gluttony is a lush green forest under a hexagon-patterned yellow sky; Greed is a rundown industrial cityscape with a green coin moon; Lust is a neon-lit city with sexual motifs; Sloth is a spa-like city of hospitals and floating islands. Demons make the most money in the Greed and Lust rings. [ structure(7 stacked rings); travel(Hellborn free, Sinners trapped in Pride); rulers(Seven Deadly Sins); ]
- #5Pride Ring - Location
Keys: Hazbin Hotel location, Imp City, Pride Ring, Pentagram City, Cannibal Town
The topmost and first ring of Hell, ruled by Lucifer Morningstar. Heavily urbanized and overpopulated. Outside the cities, the landscape is jagged, barren mountains, valleys, and cliffs in shades of dark red and maroon, with tufts of dark grass. The sky is permanently red, shifting to dark reddish-purple at night, with red and white stars. Above Pentagram City hangs a permanent red pentagram apparition; the pentagram moon and Heaven are both visible. All Sinners are confined here by a magical barrier. Hellborn also live here (e.g. in Imp City). This is the only ring targeted by the Extermination. Notable locations: Pentagram City (the main metropolis with Uptown, Downtown, Entertainment, Industrial, Doomsday districts), the Hazbin Hotel, the Clock Tower, the Heaven Embassy, Cannibal Town, Rosie's Emporium, V Tower, 666 News Studio, Klub Kaiju, Club Hell 666, Carmine Industries, and Imp City (a rundown Hellborn/imp enclave within the Pride Ring, home of I.M.P Headquarters, Stolas's mansion, Andrealphus's mansion, and Hell's Courthouse). The Pride Ring has no oceans and therefore no islands. It can experience acid rain and scream rain. [ ring(1st, topmost); ruler(Lucifer); sky(red); restrictions(Sinners confined); locations(Pentagram City, Hazbin Hotel, Cannibal Town, Imp City); ]
- #6Wrath Ring - Location
Keys: wrathian, Rough n' Tumbleweed Ranch, Wrath Ring, Harvest Moon Festival, Wrath
The second ring, ruled by Satan (who created the imp species to be obedient and dutiful). Largely rural, old-western countryside. The sky is orange, shifting to pinkish-red in the afternoon and purplish-red at night with white stars. There is no sun. The landscape features volcanoes with floating orbs of lava, old mine shafts, railroad tracks, deserts with cacti and wells, and many hellish beasts. Farmlands abound — Wrath produces most, if not all, of Hell's food supply. The majority of imps are native to Wrath. Notable residents: Millie's family (Joe, Lin, Sallie May, and three unnamed brothers), Moxxie's mother, and Striker. Notable locations: Rough n' Tumbleweed Ranch (Millie's childhood home), the Harvest Moon Festival arena (officiated by Stolas), the Hideaway Motel, Striker's mine shaft, and Ragesburg. A train runs directly from the Pride Ring to Wrath. Wrath's radio station plays "Wrath's #1 F*ck You Up Hits." [ ring(2nd); ruler(Satan); sky(orange); geography(rural, volcanic, farmland); natives(imps); ]
- #7Gluttony Ring - Location
Keys: Gluttony Ring, hellhounds native, Honeycomb Mansion, Beelzebub mansion
The third ring, ruled by Beelzebub. A large, lush green forest under a yellow sky patterned with hexagons (like a honeycomb). A constant green fog drifts through. Trees have blue bark and red eyes; tropical variants drip red goop from their leaves. Buildings are wavy-shaped; roads have hexagonal patterns. The honeycomb motif befits Beelzebub's bee theme. Hellhounds are abundant here — possibly native to Gluttony (paralleling how imps are native to Wrath), an allusion to Cerberus, guard dog of the gluttons. Beelzebub resides here in her "Honeycomb Mansion," a party palace with a giant punchbowl that hellhounds swim in. [ ring(3rd); ruler(Beelzebub); sky(yellow, hexagons); geography(lush forest, honeycomb); natives(hellhounds); ]
- #8Greed Ring - Location
Keys: Greed Ring, Notamafia Town, Loo Loo Land, Mammon Theatre, Crimson mansion
The fourth ring, ruled by Mammon. A rundown industrial cityscape with rampant crime and gang activity. The sky is green, turning blue at night with red stars and a spinning green coin moon. Countless factories and smokestacks choke the air with garbage and pollution, though small pockets of upscale suburban housing exist without decay. Inhabitants include Mammon and his operations (Loo Loo Land, Robo Fizz, Mammon Theatre), Crimson and his mafia (Crimson's mansion, Notamafia Town), and Moxxie was raised here. Notable locations: Loo Loo Land (a knockoff amusement park), FizzaRolli 'n Friends, Notamafia Town, Crimson's mansion, the Mammon Theatre, and Ransom (a city literally called Ransom). Likely inspired by the fourth circle of Dante's Inferno. [ ring(4th); ruler(Mammon); sky(green, coin moon); geography(industrial, polluted); crime(mafia, gangs); ]
- #9Lust Ring - Location
Keys: Ozzie's, Asmodeus Tower, Lust Ring, succubi, Asmodean Crystal
The fifth ring, ruled by Asmodeus ("Ozzie"). A large neon-lit city with sexual motifs everywhere. The sky is blue, and despite the lights, stars are visible. Around Asmodeus's Tower, tall skyscrapers with massive neon signs dominate; near Ozzie's club, buildings are smaller. It frequently rains. Asmodeus and Fizzarolli reside here. Succubi and incubi are associated with this ring. Notable locations: Ozzie's (Asmodeus's premier club/restaurant), Asmodeus's Tower, Asmodeus's factory, the Cocks Comb Resort, and various adult establishments. Asmodean Crystals are produced here — the only legal means for demons to travel to Earth. "Everything here has sexy energy." [ ring(5th); ruler(Asmodeus); sky(blue); geography(neon city); natives(succubi, incubi); crystals(Asmodean Crystals for Earth travel); ]
- #10Envy Ring - Location
Keys: Leviathan, Levitowne, Envy Ring
The sixth ring, ruled by Leviathan. This ring has not yet been widely seen. Its sky color is purple. Beyond the ruling Sin and color, little is known publicly. Leviathan is a two-headed piscine demoness whose two heads have independent personalities — the left head is relaxed and friendly, the right is cynical and in charge. [ ring(6th); ruler(Leviathan); sky(purple); ]
- #11Sloth Ring - Location
Keys: St. An's Hospital, Sloth Ring, floating islands, Belphegor, Wet Dreamsville
The seventh and bottommost ring, ruled by Belphegor. A large city dominated by medical buildings — hospitals, clinics, rehab centers. The sky is light pink. Floating islands drift through the sky, some bearing buildings, pink waterfalls, or trees. Described as "the nicest" and "the best one" — spa-like and relaxing. Notable locations: St. An's Hospital (a play on "Satan"), Belphegor's Healing Hearts rehab center, and Wet Dreamsville. Hellhounds must wait five years here for a Hellbies shot appointment due to their low status. Patients include Barbie Wire (in rehab) and Stolas (hospitalized). [ ring(7th, bottommost); ruler(Belphegor); sky(pink); geography(medical city, floating islands); ]
- #12Heaven - Location
Keys: Winner, Winners, Seraphim, Heaven, Speaker of God, golden gates
The ethereal realm of angels, existing far above Hell on the same plane. It is the afterlife destination for "good" and "redeemed" human souls. From Hell, Heaven appears as a white orb ringed by halos, surrounded by wing-like clouds. At surface level: clear yellow/blue skies filled with brilliant light, terrain of enormous cloud fields, and buildings topped with halos. Sealed by giant golden gates. A purported paradise — no burglaries, no strife — with its own stores, multiplex theaters, stadiums, skate parks, petting zoos, beaches, cafés, arcades. Earth animals and mythical creatures (unicorns) live there. Heaven's currency is supposedly "Heaven Bucks." Hierarchy (top to bottom): the Speaker of God (guides and holds authority above all angels; the closest the Hellaverse has to "God"), the Seraphim Sisters Sera (Head Seraphim) and Emily, Archangels (Adam and Abel held this rank), and Heaven's populace of Winners and native angels. Other named tiers: Virtues, Dominions, Thrones, Cherubs. Heaven hides a dark side: the Extermination was conducted in secret for years, unknown to most angels. Sera authorized it out of fear that Hell would rise against Heaven. Angels have no idea what criteria Divine Judgement uses to admit souls — out of fear of becoming "fallen" like Lucifer, they refuse to question it. Lucifer is "the most hated being in all of creation" in Heaven and may be barred from re-entering. The personified entities of Good and Evil are the closest the Hellaverse has to "gods." [ realm(Heaven); hierarchy(Speaker of God, Seraphim, Archangels, Winners); secrets(Extermination hidden); gates(golden, sealed); ]
- #13Pentagram City - Location
Keys: 666 News, Carmine Industries, Pentagram City, Klub Kaiju, V Tower
The primary city of Hell, located in the Pride Ring and the main setting of Hazbin Hotel. A massive "New York-like, Vegas-like" sleazy metropolis separated into districts: Uptown, Downtown, Entertainment, Industrial, and Doomsday. The pentagram in the sky is only visible here. Contains casinos, nightclubs, adult film studios, brothels, restaurants, TV stations, and the Hazbin Hotel. Demons sell everything from cigarettes to drugs; the black market deals in repurposed Exorcist weapons. The Clock Tower counts down the 365 days to each Extermination. Annual turf wars erupt over newly vacated territory (e.g. Sir Pentious vs. Cherri Bomb in the early days). Notable sub-locations: the Hazbin Hotel, the Clock Tower, the Heaven Embassy, Cannibal Town, Rosie's Emporium, V Tower, 666 News Studio, Klub Kaiju, Club Hell 666, Carmine Industries, The Black Dot, Consent, Magic Kat, and Radio Hacks. [ city(Pride Ring); districts(Uptown, Downtown, Entertainment, Industrial, Doomsday); landmarks(Clock Tower, Heaven Embassy, V Tower); ]
- #14Hazbin Hotel (Location) - Location
Keys: Charlie's hotel, redemption hotel, Hazbin Hotel, hotel, Happy Hotel
The Hazbin Hotel — formerly the "Happy Hotel" — is Charlie Morningstar's rehabilitation center in Pentagram City, Pride Ring. Its mission: redeem Sinners and send them to Heaven, curbing Hell's overpopulation and ending the Exterminations. Formerly a royal family mansion (photos of Charlie, Lucifer, Lilith, and the von Eldritch family line the walls), abandoned for unknown reasons. Charlie repurposed it as a hotel; Angel Dust was the first client (lured by financial incentive). After Charlie's failed 666 News interview, Alastor offered his services as business partner — purely to watch Sinners try and fail at redemption — and renamed it the "Hazbin Hotel." The hotel was mocked by most of Hell (especially Katie Killjoy). Destroyed by Adam during the eighth Extermination; rebuilt larger by Lucifer, Cherri Bomb, and the hotel group. After the battle, it was flooded by Sinners who misinterpreted it as a place to kill angels; they left when they learned the truth. Vox's 666 News smear campaign distorted the hotel's image, portraying Charlie as a tyrant who tortures guests. After Sir Pentious's redemption was confirmed and Vox's manipulation exposed, the hotel's image was restored and flooded with genuine redemption-seekers. Staff: Charlie (owner/head counselor), Vaggie (manager), Alastor (facility manager, quit and returned), Niffty (housekeeper/cook/pest control), Husk (concierge/bartender, quit and returned), Razzle and Dazzle (bodyguards; Dazzle deceased), KeeKee (embodiment of the hotel and living hotel key). The rebuilt hotel incorporates a cruise ship, half-broken train tracks with a functioning steam train, and towers shaped like a deer head (Alastor's) and an apple (Lucifer's); the apple tower memorializes Sir Pentious. [ founder(Charlie); purpose(redemption); staff(Charlie, Vaggie, Alastor, Niffty, Husk); history(destroyed, rebuilt); ]
- #15I.M.P & Headquarters - Organization/Location
Keys: I.M.P, Imp City, Immediate Murder Professionals, I.M.P Headquarters, assassin company
Immediate Murder Professionals (I.M.P) is a startup assassination company in Imp City, founded and run by Blitzo Buckzo. I.M.P takes contracts on living humans, traveling to Earth via portals to execute hits. The company employs Moxxie (weapons specialist), Millie (powerhouse/bruiser), and Loona (receptionist/adoptive hellhound daughter of Blitzo). I.M.P's office is located on the seventh floor of a condemned office building in Imp City (other companies like Succ Ink operate on other floors). The building is dark with black-and-white horns, red window panes, spikes, and antennas; condemned notices on the exterior are covered with I.M.P ads. Contains a meeting room, reception/waiting room (Loona's desk), Blitzo's office (safe code "1234"), a break room, and a briefing room. Running gag: the walls are constantly torn down — by Loopty Goopty, Lyle Lipton, Wally Wackford, Octavia, Stolas, and Crimson's helicopter. To reach the human world, I.M.P needs a portal, and portals require a Goetic grimoire — which Blitzo secured via a transactional sexual arrangement with Stolas. Later, Blitzo received an Asmodean Crystal from Stolas, freeing I.M.P from the grimoire arrangement. Imps are the lowest rung of Hell's society, so the business is a defiant act of upward mobility. [ org(assassination company); founder(Blitzo); employees(Moxxie, Millie, Loona); location(Imp City, 7th floor); portal(grimoire, then Asmodean Crystal); ]
- #16Cannibal Town & Rosie's Emporium - Location
Keys: 1910s, cannibals, Cannibal Town, Rosie's Emporium
Cannibal Town is a neighborhood of Pentagram City, led by the Overlord Rosie. Aesthetic resembles 1910s small-town Americana — vintage architecture, antique automobiles, period clothing. Scattered with corpses being devoured by residents. The cannibal inhabitants share a friendly, old-fashioned demeanor but are incredibly violent — anyone visiting who looks "from a different era" is eaten. To their own kind they are kind and the town is orderly (to Charlie's surprise), all attributed to Rosie's leadership: "If you want to convince any of them, you have to convince all of them." Alastor is a popular regular because the era matches his living days. The residents are cliquey, all from the 1910s, with pale skin, black eyes, and sharp teeth. Children look innocent but are cannibal monsters. Rosie's Emporium, formerly "Franklin and Rosie's Emporium" (Rosie crossed out Franklin's name after he died in an Extermination), sells cannibalistic treats/foods and 1910s-themed clothing, and serves as Rosie's base of operations. Contains a tea table where Rosie consults. Alastor brought Charlie here to recruit cannibals for the Extermination battle; Rosie coached Charlie to rally them through song. Alastor later visited bringing flowers, and asked Rosie to fix his staff. Their soul-deal is the emporium's deepest secret. [ location(Pentagram City); leader(Rosie); aesthetic(1910s Americana); residents(cannibals); ]
- #17V Tower - Location
Keys: Entertainment District, V Tower, Vees tower, VoxTek
V Tower is the residence and workplace of the Vees (Vox, Valentino, Velvette) and Angel Dust, located in Pentagram City's Entertainment District. A tall tower with pink-tinted windows, a satellite dish (Vox's broadcast method), red glowing LED lights, and a three-V sign (large center V = Vox, left = Valentino, right = Velvette) with a lips symbol in the middle. LED rings surround the roof. Modeled after the Capitol Records building. Interior includes: a lobby; a conference room with shark-tank walls; Vox's underground surveillance room (red pit with cybernetic sharks, monitors); Vox's office (circuitry walls, Shok.wav aquarium, past TV heads in display cases); Valentino's penthouse (posters, gun cabinet, old photo of Valentino and Vox); Valentino's studios (sets, dressing rooms, balcony overlooking an indoor garden); Velvette's fashion department (mirrors, fabrics, sewing machines); and Velvette's potion-making room. Cameras throughout allow Vox to spy and electroport. Lucifer shattered the windows during the slander campaign; Vox accidentally destroyed the tower using the Might of Lilith during his failed war. Staff include Angel Dust, Travis, Kitty (destroyed), and Baxter. [ location(Entertainment District); owners(Vox, Valentino, Velvette); features(surveillance, studios, fashion dept); ]
- #18Carmine Industries - Location
Keys: Might of Lilith, angelic steel, Carmine Industries, Carmilla factory, angelic weapon
Carmine Industries is an angelic-weaponry factory in Pentagram City's Industrial District, founded and owned by Overlord Carmilla Carmine. Carmilla scavenges angelic weapons left after each Extermination and sells them on Hell's black market, cornering the market and becoming Hell's top arms dealer. The company also manufactures new weapons from angelic steel (e.g. the Carmine-Crafted Blessing-Tipped Rifle) and sells machine/weapon parts. Staff: Carmilla (CEO/engineer) and her daughters Odette and Clara (scavengers, delivery girls, assistants). Contains a meeting room, Carmilla's office, an elevator, a warehouse yard, and a manufacturing area. Vox commissioned Carmilla to build a weapon against Heaven — the Might of Lilith, a weapon of mass destruction using a massive amount of hoarded angelic steel, designed to contain Lucifer Morningstar as its power source (with angelic-steel cuffs and a power-siphoning mechanism). [ location(Industrial District); owner(Carmilla); products(angelic weapons, black market); weapon(Might of Lilith); ]
- #19Heaven Embassy & Clock Tower - Location
Keys: Clock Tower, Heaven Embassy, Extermination countdown, diplomatic mission
The Heaven Embassy is a white-and-gold church-like building at the center of Pentagram City, base of the Clock Tower, serving as a diplomatic mission between Heaven and Hell where leaders of both realms could discuss matters. The clock face bears a golden pentagram; below it, the countdown timer to the next Extermination in days, supported by a several-stories-tall hourglass (sand begins falling at 24 hours remaining). The lobby is light purple with gold trim, ornate gold couches, a gold chandelier, mosaic cross windows, golden automatic doors flanked by Exorcist statues, and a mosaic mural of an angel raining light onto fire. Adam (now deceased) and Lute operated here; angels can project themselves holographically to avoid visiting Hell in person. The Clock Tower is the top portion — a tall gold-and-white tower with a golden halo floating around the top, a clock face with a pentagram in the middle, and below it a countdown to the next Extermination in days. A giant hourglass beneath the main tower begins dropping sand when 24 hours remain. After the seventh Extermination it reset to 365; Adam halved the time to 176 days. Destroyed when one of Heaven's fallen gates smashed through it during Vox's war. [ location(Pentagram City center); function(diplomatic, countdown); operators(Adam, Lute); destroyed(by Heaven's gate); ]
- #20Loo Loo Land - Location
Keys: Robo Fizz, amusement park, Lu Lu World, Mammon park, Loo Loo Land
Loo Loo Land is a bootleg amusement park in the Greed Ring, owned by Mammon — a rip-off of Lucifer's "Lu Lu World," renamed "Loo Loo Land, spelled with Os, to avoid lawsuits!" Apple-themed (Lucifer's symbol) despite Mammon's signed denial of copying. A typical shabby carnival with overpriced items, rigged games, broken animatronics, and dangerous attractions (mascot Loo Loo sardonically invites lawsuits). Attractions include The Lawsuit, FizzaRolli 'n Friends, Petting Zoo, Extermination, Balloons Attack, Funnel Cakes & Infinite Suffering, Poison Apples, and the Fun House. Once entirely imp-populated. Stolas took Octavia here (hiring I.M.P as bodyguards); Blitzo's feud with Robo Fizz burned the entire park down. It is under reconstruction. Fizzarolli wants to sue whoever burned it. Robo Fizz lurks in the shadows. [ location(Greed Ring); owner(Mammon); ripoff(of Lu Lu World); attractions(FizzaRolli 'n Friends, Fun House); burned down(by Blitzo); ]
- #21Ozzie's - Location
Keys: Ozzie's, House of Asmodeus, dinner theatre, Lust Ring club
Ozzie's (the House of Asmodeus) is a sexually-centered dinner theatre restaurant and nightclub in the Lust Ring, owned by Asmodeus ("Ozzie") with Fizzarolli as host/star performer. Extremely popular — reservations required weeks or months in advance. Couples-only establishment (singles are kicked out or banned). Sentimental love songs are explicitly forbidden. Designed like a dinner theatre with tables, a stage, a blue-flame floral chandelier, blue floral lanterns, glass chimneys with blue fire, and ceiling cages (glowing blue) confining performers for sexual reasons. A neon pink Asmodeus's Goetic seal sits at the stage runway's end. Staff include imps, baphomets, waitresses named after birds (Robin, Hen, Crane), and cage dancers. Wally Wackford bartends here. Notable visitors: Stolas, I.M.P, Verosika Mayday and her crew. Asmodeus mocks Stolas for "selling his life for a thrust" when caught at Ozzie's with Blitzo. [ location(Lust Ring); owner(Asmodeus); host(Fizzarolli); rules(couples only, no love songs); ]
- #22Stolas' Mansion - Location
Keys: Goetia mansion, Octavia home, Stolas' mansion, Stolas mansion
Stolas's Mansion is a regal mansion in the Pride Ring, former residence of Stolas and current residence of Stella, Octavia, and Andrealphus. Burgundy by day, deep blue with violet tones by night (mimicking a night sky). Tall elegant windows with pink stained glass, long corridors with (carnivorous) plant vases, astrology themes (stars, moons, night-sky ceilings), and Stolas's glyph carved into balconies (glowing blue at night). Contains a canopy-bed master bedroom, Octavia's smaller room, a luxurious bathroom with a standalone tub surrounded by zodiac signs and floating constellations, a study, a television room, a dining hall, a party room, an armory, a treasure room, a pool with zodiac signs, and a huge backyard with hell flora. Originally bore Paimon's seal; now bears Stolas's. Stolas was evicted after being stripped of royal status; Andrealphus moved in and covered the mansion in snow, ice sculptures, and portraits of himself — all of Stolas's plants died. I.M.P fought Andrealphus and his ice dragon here. [ location(Pride Ring); former owner(Stolas); current(Stella, Octavia, Andrealphus); theme(astrology); ]
- #23Rough n' Tumbleweed Ranch - Location
Keys: Rough n' Tumbleweed Ranch, Wrath ranch, Joe and Lin, Millie home
Rough n' Tumbleweed Ranch is a farmhouse in the Wrath Ring owned by Joe and Lin, where Millie grew up and Sallie May still lives. A two-story farmhouse with three upstairs bedrooms, a ground-floor living room, and a cellar. A mud-filled area outside houses Hell Pigs. Joe and Lin's bedroom has red-purple wallpaper with black markings and numerous eyes. The ranch lost its farmhand to a terror, hiring Striker as replacement. During the Harvest Moon Festival, Moxxie was brutalized by a Hell Pig; Striker killed it. The next day, Moxxie discovered Striker's Carmine-Crafted Blessing-Tipped Rifle in the master bedroom; Striker threw Moxxie and Millie into the cellar (Millie's leg caught in a bear trap) and prepared to assassinate Stolas from the ranch. I.M.P fought Striker, who escaped. [ location(Wrath Ring); owners(Joe, Lin); residents(Millie's family, Sallie May); events(Striker's assassination attempt); ]
- #24Notamafia Town & Crimson's Mansion - Location
Keys: Crimson mansion, Crimson base, Greed Ring mafia, Notamafia Town
Notamafia Town is a town in the Greed Ring, heavily inhabited by mafia members and crooks. Green sky, green-ooze-covered sign, green-colored buildings, grass and shrubs, boats on the water, and dark-green smog from factory chimneys. Ironically named ("Not a mafia") since Crimson's Mafia is stationed here. Moxxie grew up here after moving from the Wrath Ring. Crimson's Mansion is Crimson's residence and mafia base: an Italian-styled two-storey mansion with a dark-green exterior, fang-like edges, brown doors, a top-floor balcony, a smoking chimney, a messy slime-grime-covered roof, a carpark, and a helicopter bay. The living-room walls are covered in taxidermied body parts of mafia victims (imp horns, hellhound collars, succubi wings/tails, baphomet craniums with candles, jaws of unnamed demon races). A button reveals mounted dildos throughout — on walls, chandelier, and fireplace. Contains a living room, dining room, and four upstairs guest rooms (including Moxxie's old bedroom and Crimson's bedroom). Moxxie was raised and abused here by Crimson after his mother's death. Crimson abducted Moxxie and forced a wedding to Chaz in the backyard; Millie killed many mafia members to rescue him. Crimson killed Chaz and mounted his jaws on the wall. [ location(Greed Ring); mafia(Crimson's); residents(Crimson, Moxxie formerly); features(taxidermied victims); ]
- #25Imps - Species
Keys: lowest class, Imps, imp, imp species, fire toads
Imps are a Hellborn species holding the lowest rank in Hell's hierarchy, alongside Hellhounds. Created by Satan to be obedient and dutiful laborers. Imps are Hell's working class — baristas, retail workers, farmhands, servants, laborers. Most are baristas and "boring shit"; starting their own business (like I.M.P) is considered impressive. Satan considers any imp who defies higher ranks a disgrace. Imp City, in the Pride Ring, is a rundown imp enclave. Designed after the classic devil: red skin, striped horns, arrow-tipped tails. Yellow (or lime-green) sclerae that glow in the dark, with slitted pupils. Sexual dimorphism: females typically have dark hair and black horns with white/grey grooves; males have white hair and black-and-white striped horns. Horn shapes vary widely and are a point of pride — once broken, they don't grow back (Fizzarolli hides his broken horns under a jester hat). Heads are large with reptilian traits (no ears, no defined nose, forked tongues, sharp teeth). Imp blood is black. Some imps have wings; some have spikes that rattle like a rattlesnake when threatened. Abilities: ocular illumination (eyes glow in darkness), pyrokinesis (some can produce flame), immunity to Earth fire (engulfed flames do no harm; Hell fire still injures), prehensile tail, elastic tongue, enhanced smell (can detect the "scent of the living world" on new Sinners), flight (winged imps only), sharp horns. Unlike Sinners, imps CAN be killed by non-angelic weapons — knives, guns (headshots), even petrification (Stolas's gaze). They can die in natural disasters, from smoke inhalation, heart attacks, diabetes, or overdoses on Hell-made substances like Beelzejuice. Higher demons openly disdain imps. Stella calls them "peasants" and "plebeians"; Paimon says imps should bow to Goetia. Imps are called "fire toads" (a racial slur). Cherubs call them "dirt that shitty dead people tread on." Despite this, some imps enter relationships with high-ranked demons (e.g. Blitzo and Stolas). Imps can own/adopt Hellhounds. [ species(Hellborn, lowest rank); creator(Satan); appearance(red, striped horns, tail); abilities(fire immunity, ocular illumination); mortality(non-angelic weapons work); ]
- #26Hellhounds - Species
Keys: hound, Hellbies, Hellhounds, Loona species, hellhound
Hellhounds (or just "Hounds") are a sapient Hellborn subspecies sharing the lowest rank with imps. Mostly servitude — labor, bodyguards, pets. Hellhound orphans are housed in poor-condition shelters and can be adopted by any demon species as pets, cheap labor, or family. Unadopted orphans "age out" at 18 and are kicked out. Due to their low rank, they must wait five years for a Hellbies shot at St. An's Hospital. They are muzzled by law enforcement when detained. Anthropomorphic canines resembling wolves or specific dog breeds (Doberman, poodle, dachshund, bulldog, Labrador, husky, etc.). All share bright red sclerae with white irises, plus breed-specific ears, tails, and muzzles. They are one of the few demon species with visible ears. Abilities: human disguise (for Earth travel, retains some true-form traits), ocular illumination (eyes glow), enhanced smell (superior to imps; can track targets by scent; hindered by air pollution), quadrupedalism (can switch between biped and quadruped), feral transformation (can shift into large quadrupedal demon canines). Hellhounds need annual Hellbies vaccinations (a rabies parody); the syringe is comically large with neon-green serum. Like imps, they can be killed by non-angelic weapons (gunshots to the head work). Treated as guard dogs and pets rather than people. "Bitch" appears to be a racial slur. Hellhounds exclaim "Oh, my dog" instead of "Oh, my god." Bone-shaped treats exist for them. Possibly native to the Gluttony Ring (abundant there), paralleling imps in Wrath. [ species(Hellborn, lowest rank); appearance(canine, red sclera); abilities(human disguise, feral form, enhanced smell); mortality(non-angelic weapons work); ]
- #27Overlords - Organization
Keys: soul ownership, soul contracts, deals, Overlord, Overlords
Overlords are a class of powerful demons ranking just above regular Sinners and fifth in Hell's overall hierarchy. They rule domains of influence within Hell and command vast numbers of owned souls. Overlords gain power by owning souls — through contracts, deals, or force. A small group can collectively own millions of souls. Soul ownership is exploited for power and influence; the yearly Extermination reduced Overlord power by killing off their owned souls en masse. Deals require a handshake and verbal agreement; they always involve an exchange (not necessarily a soul). Contracts can have loopholes: Valentino owns Angel Dust's soul but can only physically exploit him inside his studio. Alastor can summon Husk and Niffty at will. Overlords can manifest ownership via conjured chains, collars, and manacles. Each Overlord tends to represent a media/art form: Alastor (radio), Vox (TV/media), Valentino (film/porn — "Hell's Hollywood"), Velvette (social media), Carmilla (ballet/dance), Zeezi (clubs/hip-hop/grunge), Maestro (classical music). Zestial is the oldest Overlord; Velvette is the youngest (in tenure). Known Overlords: Alastor, Rosie, Vox, Valentino, Velvette, Carmilla Carmine, Zestial, Zeezi, Maestro, Prick, Hatchet. Former: Husk (gambled his soul away to Alastor). Though Sinner-Overlords are confined to Pride, their businesses extend across rings — Carmilla's weapons and Vox's merchandise appear throughout Hell. Overlords rarely cooperate; they only convene in extreme urgency. [ class(powerful Sinners); power(soul ownership); domains(media, weapons, cannibalism); known(Alastor, Vees, Carmilla, Rosie, Zestial, Zeezi, Maestro); ]
- #28Ars Goetia - Organization
Keys: Paimon, Stolas species, Goetic prince, Goetia, Ars Goetia, Goetic demon
The Ars Goetia is Hellborn royalty/nobility — a hierarchical tier of demons ranking above Overlords and below the Seven Deadly Sins. Created by Lucifer Morningstar (many are birdlike, possibly reflecting Lucifer's love of birds). The Goetia include kings (like Paimon), princes (like Stolas and Vassago), and marquis (like Andrealphus). They possess vast magical powers, grimoires, and political authority over their domains. Goetic demons can travel between rings, possess humans, petrify with a glare, create portals, and more. They are bound by Hell's laws: assassinating or assaulting demon royalty is illegal; betrayal by royalty is treason. Lower-class demons cannot steal/use magical items from high-ranked demons (e.g. Stolas's grimoire) for undocumented personal use. The Goetia arrange marriages among themselves to produce heirs (e.g. Stolas and Stella were arranged to produce Octavia). Notable Goetia: Paimon (king, Stolas's father), Stolas (prince, stripped of status), Stella (Stolas's wife), Andrealphus (marquis, Stella's brother), Vassago (prince, advocate for due process), Octavia (heiress). Asmodeus is also a King of the Ars Goetia in The Lesser Key of Solomon, in addition to being a Deadly Sin. [ class(Hellborn royalty); creator(Lucifer); powers(grimoires, portals, petrification); members(Paimon, Stolas, Stella, Andrealphus, Vassago, Octavia); ]
- #29Seven Deadly Sins - Organization
Keys: Sin, Satan Sin, Lucifer Sin, Deadly Sins, Sins, Seven Deadly Sins
The Seven Deadly Sins are demons embodying the seven deadly sins, ranking just below Lucifer and Charlie in Hell's hierarchy. Each Sin created a species (Lucifer created the Goetia; Satan created the imps) and rules one of the seven rings. Each Sin represents a circus act (Lucifer is the ringmaster, Beelzebub the animal tamer, Mammon the clown, etc.). Members: Lucifer Morningstar (Pride, ringmaster, King of Hell, fallen angel — the only Sin native to Heaven), Satan (Wrath, judge of Hell's court, stand-in ruler during Lucifer's absence, creator of imps), Beelzebub (Gluttony, party host, creator of Beelzejuice), Mammon (Greed, business tycoon, owner of Loo Loo Land), Asmodeus (Lust, owner of Ozzie's, keeper of Asmodean Crystals), Leviathan (Envy, two-headed piscine demoness), Belphegor (Sloth, sheep/llama-like demon, associated with healing/rehab). The Sins are biologically immortal (only killable by angelic weaponry) and have existed for at least 10,000 years. Satan has effectively taken over Hellborn affairs during Lucifer's reclusive depression. The Sins convene as judges in Hell's courthouse; Satan presides. [ class(rulers of rings); members(Lucifer, Satan, Beelzebub, Mammon, Asmodeus, Leviathan, Belphegor); origin(10,000+ years); circus theme(each represents an act); ]
- #30The Vees - Organization
Keys: Vox Valentino Velvette, media Overlords, V trio, Vees
The Vees are a triumvirate of Overlords — Vox (TV/media), Valentino (film/porn), and Velvette (social media) — who together co-rule Pentagram City's Entertainment District from V Tower. Vox is the de facto leader and the most level-headed, except where Alastor is concerned. Valentino and Vox are an on-and-off romantic/sexual partner; Velvette is the "backbone of the Vees" and the glue binding them together. The Vees are major media influencers, controlling VoxTek Enterprises, 666 News, and a vast empire of merchandise, social media, and adult entertainment. They see the Hazbin Hotel as a threat and an opportunity. During the post-Extermination period, Vox used the chaos and Sinners' pain to launch a propaganda campaign, stirring up Hell against Heaven, slandering Charlie and the Hotel. Vox eventually declared war on Heaven itself using the Might of Lilith, and was defeated when Valentino and Velvette tore his head off to stop him from destroying Pentagram City. Valentino then took over as CEO of VoxTek. [ faction(Overlord triumvirate); members(Vox, Valentino, Velvette); base(V Tower); domain(media, porn, social media); ]
- #31C.H.E.R.U.B - Organization
Keys: C.H.E.R.U.B., Heaven I.M.P, cherub organization, C.H.E.R.U.B
C.H.E.R.U.B is Heaven's counterpart to I.M.P — an organization of cherub angels tasked with protecting living, endangered, or suicidal humans and showering them with love. Employees include Cletus (the leader, a humanoid baby cherub), Collin (a sheep cherub, the soft-spoken conscience), and Keenie (a sheep cherub, the aggressive hypocrite). The trio was banished from Heaven after Cletus accidentally killed a client (Lyle Lipton) with a piano. They were the first cherubs ever banished from Heaven. After banishment they became cunning, cruel, and discriminatory toward Hellborns, justifying petty crimes to survive. They teamed with the human organization D.H.O.R.K.S. to take revenge on I.M.P. Cherubs can fly, lift boulders, open Heaven–Earth portals (revocable if they break Heaven's rules), conjure/erase objects, summon unique angelic crossbows with golden arrows, and emit bioluminescence. Cherub Towne is their Heaven hotspot. [ org(Heaven's protection agency); members(Cletus, Collin, Keenie); status(banished); allies(D.H.O.R.K.S.); ]
- #32D.H.O.R.K.S. - Organization
Keys: paranormal, D.H.O.R.K.S., demon hunters, Agent One, Agent Two
D.H.O.R.K.S. is a paramilitary organization on Earth investigating paranormal activity, specifically demons. Full acronym unknown (a play on "dorks"). Operates from a headquarters with numerous hideouts monitoring demonic incidents. Agents use firearms but favor Edo-period Japanese melee weapons (kusarigama, naginata, katana, shuriken, kanabō, sai). Stolas implies the group is fringe and not taken seriously; Agents One and Two complain their superiors don't believe them. They may be a subsidiary of a larger parent organization. They allied with the banished cherubs Cletus, Collin, and Keenie to take revenge on I.M.P. Agent One is pale-skinned with short brown hair, always-worn black shades, a dark-red tuxedo with a "D" pin, and a subtle New York accent — the more emotional of the duo, breaking his Tufa facade when his deceased mother is mentioned. Agent Two is his partner. [ org(paramilitary, Earth); goal(demon investigation); agents(One, Two); weapons(Japanese melee, firearms); allies(banished cherubs); ]
- #33Charlie Morningstar - Character
Keys: Charlie, Princess of Hell, Charlotte, Charlie Morningstar, Charlie Magne
Charlotte "Charlie" Morningstar — formerly "Charlotte Magne" in early records — is the Princess of Hell, founder of the Happy Hotel (later the Hazbin Hotel), and the protagonist of the redemption movement. Hellborn demon, the only main-cast native of Hell, never human; demonic royalty. Tall (about 6'6"), slim, white-skinned humanoid demon with ankle-length blonde hair streaked in light coral, tied in a twice-banded low ponytail with bangs flipped left. Light-yellow sclera, red irises, black lips, rosy red cheeks, fangs, a short snout with a black animal-like nose, red-toed hooves, and pointed black fingernails. Attire: red tuxedo-jacket with darker lapels, white dress-shirt (sleeves rolled), black suspenders, bowtie, dark dress pants, and heeled white saddle shoes with black toes. In her Full Demon form, she sprouts dark maroon horns, her eyes turn red-scleraed with white slit-pupiled irises and black streaks, her eyelashes flare into butterfly-wing shapes, her fingers blacken into claws, and she gains a spined black tail tipped with a red heart. She can also manifest a single enormous demonic arm. Compassionate, empathetic, idealistic to a fault, with a Leslie Knope–style sunny optimism. Loves musical theatre and conveys emotions through showtunes. Naïve about Hell's harsh realities and prone to rushing into plans unprepared. Not a pushover — will fight back when mocked and can swear when pushed. Believes in second chances and mercy (she spared Adam even after he vaporized Sir Pentious). Stubborn and prone to lashing out when her dream is threatened. Bisexual. Born in Hell to Lucifer Morningstar and Lilith. A family portrait dated 1871 implies she is over 200 years old, though she appears in her 20s. She attended Hell school, where she dated Seviathan von Eldritch (her ex-boyfriend; his sister Hellsa is her rival). She was raised on her mother's dream of empowering demonkind; when Lilith vanished seven years before the Hotel opened, Charlie internalized her absence as her own fault and founded the Hotel partly to finish what Lilith started — hoping her mother would return and be proud. Abilities: biologically immortal (killable only by angelic weaponry), demon transformation (full and partial), pyrokinesis, pyrotechnic and glitter generation, demonic magic (golden sparkly spells), energy manipulation (orange energy shaped like musical notes on a stave), conjuration, enhanced strength, levitation in demon form, multilingualism, skilled hand-to-hand combat, tap dancing, piano, singing. Weaponry: an apple-shaped shield with a golden six-winged snake (Lucifer-themed) and a snake-wrapped, apple-topped pitchfork she conjures in demon form. Relationships: Lucifer (father, estranged but loving), Lilith (mother, estranged), Vaggie (girlfriend and manager), Alastor (business partner), Razzle and Dazzle (bodyguards created by Lucifer), KeeKee (the Hotel's key-cat), Husk and Niffty (staff), Angel Dust (first redemption patient), Sir Pentious (close friend; his loss devastates her), Emily (seraphim ally in Heaven), Rosie (friendly Overlord of Cannibal Town). Enemies: Katie Killjoy, the Exorcists, Adam, Lute, the Vees. [ role(Princess of Hell, hotel founder); species(Hellborn demon); personality(optimistic, naïve, compassionate); abilities(pyrokinesis, demon transformation, magic); relationships(Lucifer, Lilith, Vaggie, Alastor, Angel Dust, Sir Pentious); ]
- #34Vaggie - Character
Keys: Exorcist defector, Vaggi, fallen angel, Vaggie, Vagatha
Vaggi — formerly "Vaggie" — is the manager of the Hazbin Hotel, Charlie Morningstar's girlfriend and protector, and a fallen angel. Originally called "Vaggie" by Adam, who named her after "the best thing ever" — the vagina. She renamed herself "Vaggi" in the aftermath of the Extermination battle, dropping the "e" to leave her Exorcist past behind. She prefers a hard "g" pronunciation to dissociate from Adam. Briefly tried on "Vagatha" (a name Sir Pentious uses), but denies it being her real name. A former Exorcist — one of Adam's top killers — who, during the fourth Extermination, encountered a defenseless sinner child in an alley and could not kill him. Lute caught her defection, gouged out her left eye, ripped off her wings, called her "sinful filth," and abandoned her in Hell. Shortly after, Charlie found her and gave her first aid. They fell in love over time (a natural progression, long before the Hotel). Vaggi kept her Exorcist past secret for three years, fearing Charlie would leave her. Humanoid fallen angel with grayish-lavender skin, knee-length very light gray hair tipped in faded purple (forming a moth-wing shape), long jagged bangs covering the left side of her face, and an amaranth-red hair-bow (torn, with long tails) that, after the Extermination battle, becomes a hair tie for a high ponytail. Right eye: light pink sclera, ivory iris, feathery lashes. Left eye: missing, covered by a slate-gray eyepatch with a red "X." Small fangs, dark gray lips, hawk-like nose, dark gray nails. Wears a short-sleeved red blouse with dark gray peter-pan collar and scalloped sleeves, dark gray choker, pencil skirt with pale pink waistband, white flats, fingerless slate-gray elbow-length gloves and matching thigh-highs with scalloped hems. After training with Carmilla Carmine, she regrew her wings — gray-gradient, single-striped, manifestable at will (she can hide them and even tore open the back of her battle suit to deploy them). Pragmatic, cautious, protective, short-tempered, and self-loathing (per Husk: "she hates herself"). Tough with a heart of gold. A neat freak stressed by mess. Reactive and quick to take a defensive (or offensive) stance. Devotes herself to supporting Charlie and shielding her from humiliation. Easy to bait into irritation. Originally one of Adam's top Exorcists — ruthless, slaughtering thousands of sinners yearly — until she spared a sinner child and was mutilated for it. Views herself as a weapon and defender rather than an individual; slowly learns to see herself as a person. A terrible liar, especially to Charlie. Bilingual in Spanish. Described as the "most human" character emotionally. Abilities: high-speed flight (regrown wings), wing manifestation/hiding, weapon summoning (can pull her angelic spear from nowhere), enhanced reflexes (exceptional even among Exorcists), hand-to-hand combat, weapon proficiency (favors blades; angelic spears; throwing daggers), bilingualism (English/Spanish), singing. Weaponry: two angelic spears and throwing daggers. Relationships: Charlie (girlfriend, deeply devoted), Carmilla Carmine (mentor in combat and angelic-weaponry fighting), Husk/Niffty/Razzle/Dazzle/KeeKee (co-workers), Alastor (co-worker, mutual condescension), Angel Dust (frequent antagonist but fellow Hotel member), Adam (former commander, tormentor, deceased), Lute (rival, former fellow Exorcist, mutilator), the Vees (enemies). [ role(Hotel manager, fallen angel); species(former Exorcist); personality(pragmatic, protective, self-loathing); abilities(flight, weapon summoning, enhanced reflexes); relationships(Charlie, Carmilla, Adam, Lute); ]
- #35Angel Dust - Character
Keys: Anthony, adult film star, Valentino contract, spider demon, Angel Dust
Angel Dust — true name Anthony — is a Sinner demon (formerly human), Hell's most famous adult film star, drag queen, and sex worker, and the Hazbin Hotel's first redemption patient. "Angel Dust" is his all-encompassing persona name. Tall (about 8 feet in heels), slender spider-demon with white fur, light pink spots, a pink heart on the back of his head, and a pink heart outline encircling his chest. Four arms normally, with a retractable third pair he hides. Cerise-pink pupils, heterochromic sclera (pale yellow right, black left), three cerise dots beneath each eye that are actually smaller eyes. Sharp teeth with a single golden fang (shared with Valentino). Brash, sarcastic, quick-witted; uses crude humor and innuendo as armor. Publicly flirtatious and destructive; privately self-loathing, insecure, and protective of his true feelings. Self-destructive. Cynical about redemption but holds small hope. Genuinely cares for friends — defended Charlie and Niffty from Valentino, mourned Sir Pentious, risked his life for Husk. After bonding with Husk, he begins to change: quits most drugs, stops flirting with friends, develops self-respect. Keeps his condemning sin (murdering his own father) hidden; when Vox exposes it, he lashes out at Charlie. Born Anthony in New York, of Italian heritage, into an extended mob family — "horrible people," mostly also in Hell, all appearing as spider-demons due to their "web of crime." Has an older brother, Arackniss, and a fraternal twin sister, Molly (who is in Heaven). Died in 1947 of a drug overdose. The sin that condemned him: murdering his own father. Upon arriving in Hell, he rejected the family mob and went into sex work early, eventually becoming Valentino's biggest star. Abilities: Sinner immortality, retractable third set of arms (used to hide tommy guns), venomous bite, storm sensitivity, athleticism, musical talent, bilingualism (English/Italian), weapon proficiency (six tommy guns at once), flexibility. Relationships: Valentino (boss/pimp/owner/abuser; signed soul contract restricting Valentino's control to inside the studio), Husk (close friend and developing bond), Cherri Bomb (best friend and partner in crime), Fat Nuggets (pet pig he adores), Molly (twin sister in Heaven), Arackniss (older brother), Vox (manipulator and second abuser; brainwashed Angel as an unwitting spy), Charlie/Vaggie/Niffty/Sir Pentious (fellow Hotel members), Travis (client and director). Gay; birthday April 1st. [ role(adult film star, Hotel patient); species(Sinner, spider-demon); personality(brash, self-loathing, caring); abilities(extra arms, venom, storm sense); relationships(Valentino, Husk, Cherri Bomb, Fat Nuggets, Molly); ]
- #36Alastor - Character
Keys: Al, Overlord radio, deer demon, Alastor, Radio Demon
Alastor — the "Radio Demon" — is a Sinner demon (formerly human), an Overlord, and the facility manager of the Hazbin Hotel. One of the few Sinners who kept his living name. Tall (about 7 feet), beige-skinned, dapper humanoid deer-demon with a permanent broad grin of sharp yellow teeth. Hot pinkish-red hair in a cropped angled bob with black ends and an undercut; small black antlers and large deer ears with black tips. Red sclera, brighter irises, slit pupils, dark red eyelids. Forearms and lower legs fade to black; red hoofed toes and red clawed fingers. Attire: red pinstriped coat with darker high collar, bright red dress-shirt with a black cross, black dress pants, red pointed shoes with deer-hoofprint soles, black bowtie with red center, and a black-rimmed red monocle over his right eye. Carries a thin staff topped with a sentient vintage microphone. After Adam broke his staff and slashed his chest in the Extermination battle, both wound and staff are held together by glowing green stitches he manifests. Wickedly charismatic, dandyish, old-fashioned radio-announcer persona with a Transatlantic accent and quaint anachronisms ("the picture show," "charming demon belle"). Permanently grinning — his smile is an enforced mask of ego, power, and control; he despises anyone who lets true emotion show. Narcissistic; loves himself above all. A man of duality: values manners, affability, and intelligence in others (and looks down on those who lack them) but plays fast and loose with his own rules. Sadistic, cannibalistic (devours lesser demons), with an "odd" morality. A skilled manipulator playing long games. Asexual and aromantic. Dislikes being touched (will contort his neck unnaturally to avoid it) but freely invades others' space. Hates dogs, post-30s technology, tea, and sweet things. Loves his mother (a "momma's boy"), her jambalaya, jazz, black coffee, whiskey, venison, cooking, theater, dancing, pranks, gossip, and pineapple on pizza. From New Orleans, Louisiana; mixed-race Creole; an only child. A radio show host by day and a prolific serial killer by night, with a "weird moral code." Aware his actions would condemn him to Hell, he performed a ritual to contact Rosie, securing a deal to become the strongest Sinner in Hell and avoid being a "tortured soul." The next day, while burying a body on a deer-hunting ground, he was shot in the head by a hunter who mistook him for a deer — hence his deer-themed demon form and the red "X" that glows on his forehead when he uses his powers. Died in 1933. In Hell, he became Rosie's "pet," bound to her orders — a loss of autonomy he deeply resents. His seven-year absence before arriving at the Hotel was Rosie's doing; she sent him there. Abilities: Sinner immortality; radiowave manipulation (broadcasts himself across Hell; can hijack modern speakers); acoustokinesis (radio filter on his voice); technokinesis (controls radio equipment and modern tech); visual distortion (appears as static/glitch on cameras); demon transformation (full and partial); flexibility; conjuration; alteration; demonic magic (red Voodoo-veve symbols, blood magic); stitch manifestation (green glowing stitches); shapeshifting; tentacle creation; umbrakinesis (controls shadows); familiars (small voodoo puppet creatures); pyrokinesis; energy generation; phytokinesis (wilts plants with a stare); photokinesis; fragokinesis; deal-making and soul manipulation (chains, compulsion, tearing souls apart and broadcasting the screams). Weaponry: his sentient microphone staff — the source of much of his power; when broken, his powers weaken. Relationships: Rosie (owner of his soul until he breaks the deal; mentor-like; treats him as a "pet," which he hates), Charlie (business partner; genuinely admires her indomitable will), Niffty (co-worker; daughter-figure; one of the few he allows to touch him), Husk (owns his soul; treats him like a pet), Vox (bitter rival; Vox once had a romantic admiration for him), Mimzy (old acquaintance), Zestial (fellow Overlord, friendly), Lucifer Morningstar (bitter rival for Charlie's affection; mutual mockery — "bellhop," "Bambi," "Mr. Useless," "dumb red loudspeaker"). Key events: when the Hotel first opened, appeared offering a deal Charlie refused; summoned Niffty and Husk; defeated Sir Pentious; became the Hotel's patron for his own amusement. During the Extermination battle, dueled Adam; was defeated, his staff broken and chest slashed; suffered a panic attack afterward. Made a deal with Vox — becoming Vox's prisoner in exchange for Vox releasing Husk and Niffty and never laying hands on Charlie. Used his old deal with Charlie to compel her to call Vox the strongest Sinner in Hell, breaking Rosie's ownership of his soul; when Vox touched Charlie's shoulders, that violated Alastor's literal terms ("never lay hands on her"), breaking their deal too. Made a new deal with Rosie — she'd repair his staff in exchange for him helping contain the overloading Might of Lilith. Rejoined the Hotel with new motivation involving Lucifer. [ role(Overlord, Hotel facility manager); species(Sinner, deer-demon); personality(charismatic, sadistic, manipulative); abilities(radio manipulation, shadows, deals); relationships(Rosie, Charlie, Niffty, Husk, Vox, Lucifer); ]
- #37Husk - Character
Keys: Husker, Husk, cat demon, bartender, former Overlord
Husk is a Sinner demon (formerly human), an avian-cat demon, the concierge and bartender of the Hazbin Hotel, and a former Overlord who lost his soul to Alastor in a gamble. His name means "a dried-up, worthless exterior" — descriptive of his state. Anthropomorphic avian-cat demon with a magician/casino theme. Dark taupe fur with white on face, torso, feet, and upper arms; large red feather-like eyebrows with black stripes and small black hearts above each; white-furred ears with red tips and red hearts inside; heart-shaped yellow paw-pads. Large red wings with roulette-wheel dot markings. Long dark taupe tail ending in a vivid-red plume of feathers. Black sclera, light yellow irises, slit pupils. Wears a black top hat with red band and gold button, red bowtie, and black trousers with suspenders. Has dark grey burn-like cuffs at ankles and hooved feet. Grumpy, lazy, apathetic, sarcastic; a jaded old sinner who drinks and gambles his problems away. Surprisingly patient — the "straight man" of the group — and observant, able to read people and call out their issues (he bluntly named Charlie's daddy issues, Vaggie's self-loathing, and Sir Pentious' loneliness). Values authenticity; despises fakeness. Empathetic beneath the crust; gives non-judgmental listening ears. Protective of those he bonds with, especially Angel. Claims to have "lost the ability to love" long ago. A "husk" of his former Overlord self. Pansexual. Dislikes being a cat (can't control purring), his demon form, Alastor treating him like a pet, and Angel regressing. Loves cheesy old magic shows, back massages, drinking with Angel and Cherri, and supporting Angel's redemption. From Las Vegas; grew up in a casino, loving the magic shows there. Died in the 1970s in his 60s–70s. A former Overlord who dealt in souls while also being a gambler — high-stakes and dangerous. When losing hands put him at risk, he made deals to stay afloat, eventually losing all his souls and his Overlord status in a gamble with Alastor, selling his soul to save what power he had left. Now bound to Alastor, he was summoned (alongside Niffty) to work at the Hotel. Abilities: Sinner immortality; flight (large avian wings; rarely uses them — lazy and dislikes his demon form); energy generation (orange-gold energy full of spades, diamonds, clovers, hearts); molecular acceleration (charges dice and cards to explode or slice); conjuration (Zig Zag Girl box shield, playing cards, dice, golden rings); pyrokinesis; card transformation; top hat manipulation; telekinesis; super strength; multilingualism (English, Italian, Russian, German, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Japanese); musical talent (professional saxophone); sleight-of-hand (cheats at gambling); mixology; stage magic; combat with cards/dice. Relationships: Alastor (owner of his soul; treats him as a "pet"; Husk resents this but is bound), Angel Dust (best friend; developing bond; mentors him toward self-respect), Cherri Bomb (close friend; drinking buddy), Niffty (co-worker; patient with her despite finding her annoying), Charlie (boss), Vaggie (co-worker), Mimzy (acquaintance; dislikes her bringing trouble), the Vees (enemies; fought Velvette and Valentino). Key events: summoned by Alastor when the Hotel first opened; called out Angel's façade at Valentino's club and bonded with him, revealing his Overlord past and his deal with Alastor; flew and fought Exorcists with cards during the Extermination battle; defended Charlie's dream and Angel's desire for redemption against Vox's judgment; left the Hotel after Charlie and Vaggie's argument and Alastor's capture, believing Angel didn't need him, but returned after a heartfelt conversation with Angel; first to join Charlie and Emily in containing the overloading Might of Lilith to save Pentagram City; fought Valentino during Vox's rebellion. Owns the Magic Kat casino. [ role(Hotel bartender, former Overlord); species(Sinner, avian-cat); personality(grumpy, observant, empathetic); abilities(flight, card magic, multilingualism); relationships(Alastor, Angel Dust, Cherri Bomb); ]
- #38Niffty - Character
Keys: bug demon, cyclops, Adam Slayer, maid, Niffty
Niffty is a Sinner demon (formerly human), a cyclops, and the housekeeper, cook, and pest control of the Hazbin Hotel. Dubbed "The Adam Slayer" by Hell's denizens after the Extermination battle. Short (shortest of the main cast), thin-limbed cyclops sinner demon with white skin. Single large eye: light yellow iris, hot-pink sclera with yellow gradient, large pie-cut pupil (shrinks with black veins when homicidal). Chin-length red-pink 1950s bob with a light yellow streak, curl on each side. Sharp pale yellow teeth, black lips, hot-pink dots at mouth corners. Attire: black neckerchief, 1950s red-pink maid dress under a white apron with three hot-pink dripping splotches, long black gloves, black tights. Themed around bugs and 1950s kitsch. Hyper, spontaneous, agile, easily entertained/distracted/excited. Partly sadistic and masochistic (enjoys pain — both inflicting and experiencing; likes being "forced"). Obsessive cleaner; hates mess; will steal cleaning supplies from a sex club's storage closet. Fixation on men — especially "bad boys" (brief obsession with Sir Pentious, which ended when he turned good; one-sided interest in Valentino; idealizes Lucifer). Collects hair/fur from men she's obsessed with. Camera-shy — freezes in a hypnotic trance when filmed, unless she perceives the camera as a "big roach." Loyal to friends. Enjoys violence, stabbing, blood, killing mother bugs in front of their offspring as a warning. Despite her twistedness, she genuinely believes in Charlie's dream and loves working at the Hotel. Straight — the only straight character in the Hotel. Bilingual in Japanese (sings fluently in Japanese). Has traditional/stereotypical views on gender roles. Died in the 1950s at age 22 (likely after mid-June 1955, given her Marilyn Monroe "Seven Year Itch" pose reference). Ethnically Japanese. Little else is revealed about her living life. She was summoned to the Hotel by Alastor alongside Husk. Abilities: Sinner immortality; fire immunity; superhuman speed and agility (ran across Pentagram City in moments; her main combat asset); water resistance; holy power resistance; high pain tolerance; stealth; superhuman strength (lifted Charlie; carried Husk across town); cockroach control (can call, communicate with, and command roaches — her "children"); energy manipulation (light-orange stitched threads). Skillset: jack-of-all-trades (cleaning, cooking, sewing, fanfiction writing); plays tambourine and guitar; melee proficiency with needles and knives; sings very fast (including in Japanese). Weaponry: multiple sewing needles, a knife, and the angelic dagger Charlie gave her — which she used to kill Adam. (The dagger is now mounted on Carmilla Carmine's wall.) Relationships: Alastor (co-worker; one of the few he allows to touch him; she's fond of him), Husk (co-worker; he's patient with her despite finding her annoying), Charlie (boss), Vaggie (co-worker; follows her orders), Baxter (defends him per Vaggie's instruction), Sir Pentious (temporary crush; kicked him when he turned good), Valentino (one-sided interest; also attempted killer; she stabbed him multiple times from inside his coat), Adam (victim; she repeatedly stabbed him to death), Velvette (enemy; fought her). Key events: summoned by Alastor when the Hotel first opened; given an angelic dagger by Charlie with orders to "stab angels" during the Extermination battle; obsessively stabbed every angel she could, including Adam — killing him by repeatedly stabbing the fallen archangel; snuck inside Valentino's coat-wings and stabbed him multiple times; helped contain the overloading Might of Lilith; fought Velvette. - #39Sir Pentious - Character
Keys: snake demon, Sir Pentious, First Redeemed, Pendleton, Winner angel
Sir Pentious — true name Pendleton — is the first Sinner to achieve redemption and ascend to Heaven, becoming a Winner angel. "Sir Pentious" is a play on "serpent" (and possibly "pretentious" and "pentagram"). Inventor; "Architect of Destruction" (self-proclaimed); "First Redeemed" (title given by the Hotel staff after his ascension). As a Sinner: snake-like demon, predominantly charcoal grey. Cerise sclera with black pupils, sharp yellow teeth with two long fangs. Black tail with yellow stripes and numerous cerise eyes running down it. Black cobra hood with yellow front, black corners, and four cerise eye-patterns. Wore a charcoal grey yellow-pinstriped jacket, black bowtie with a cerise eye, orange-yellow undershirt, black fingerless gloves, cerise claws. Large charcoal top hat with a cerise eye that blinked and changed expressions in sync with him (a window into his true feelings — he has no poker face), plus goggles. As a Winner (after ascension): predominantly blue. Yellow sclera, cerise pupils, retained fangs. Light grey tail without eyes. White cobra hood with yellow front, six jagged points, white tips with eye-markings. Small pair of wings on his back. White jacket with yellow pinstripes, black bowtie with cerise heart, yellow undershirt with a white eye, blue fingerless gloves, cerise claws. Large white top hat with a yellow eye, yellow heart-shaped glasses with cerise pupils, and a white halo. Bombastic, flamboyant, short-tempered, temperamental, persistent — a classic "mustache-twirling" stock villain who openly declares "I'm so evil!" Takes tremendous pride in his grandiose self-image. More than capable of remorse and honor. Strives to be hip and cool (holds a skateboard he can't actually ride). Emotionally attached to his Egg Boiz (cries when forced to get rid of them). Lonely beneath the supervillain façade — a "lonely boy" who wanted to be part of a group like the Vees. Oblivious to sexual innuendo; takes things literally. After Charlie forgives him, he becomes enthusiastic about redemption, develops courage, confesses his feelings to Cherri Bomb, and sacrifices himself for his friends. In Heaven, he grows wiser and more self-assured, even gently guiding Sera using Charlie's compassion. Bisexual. Allergic to koalas. In life, Pendleton was a reclusive inventor in London — a hermit who didn't socialize and had no friends, only his work and machines. He had a tendency to watch people (giving him the illusion of company) and was fascinated by the lives he observed. In 1888, he witnessed a murder by one of his clients and remained silent; the killer went on to murder five more women and was never caught. Pendleton took this secret to his grave — his condemning sin was his cowardly inaction. He died in 1888 and arrived in Hell as a snake-demon. His Egg Boiz were mass-produced with the assistance of Baxter. His pilot-era goal was to conquer Hell with his machines and Egg Boiz army. Abilities: immortality (as Winner and formerly Sinner); venomous bite (a last resort — he's a "wussy fighter" who lets his Egg Boiz and machines fight for him); prehensile tail; constriction; omnidirectional vision (eyes scattered across his body; claims to retain this in Winner form); hypnosis (via the eyes on his hood; weak — only stuns briefly); flight (small Winner wings); scientific knowledge and mechanical engineering (built advanced steampunk machines; attempted a quantum-physics machine from scraps to escape Heaven; built a frequency to broadcast himself to Hell); weapon mastery with his inventions; baking (tasty cookies); plays the organ. Relationships: Egg Boiz (henchmen and co-creations; emotionally attached; Frank sole survivor of an important prophecy), Cherri Bomb (former arch-nemesis turned crush; canon romantic pairing), Charlie Morningstar (close friend; she forgave him and gave him a second chance), Emily (friend in Heaven — "Penny"), the Vees (former idols; Vox manipulated and discarded him), Baxter (former lab partner and ally), Alastor (former enemy and one-sided rival), Niffty (former admirer briefly), Husk/Vaggie (Hotel members), Speaker of God (heard his confession in Heaven), Sera (acquaintance; he gently guides her). Key events: when the Hotel first opened, attacked with his airship and Egg Boiz; was defeated by Alastor. Sent by Vox to infiltrate the Hotel as a spy; was exposed by Alastor; reprimanded by Vox; accepted his "inevitable death" but was forgiven by Charlie and became the second Hotel patient. During the Extermination battle, confessed his love to Cherri Bomb, kissed her, and sacrificed himself in a failed attack on Adam — vaporized. But through this selfless act, he was reborn as a Winner angel and transported to Heaven, becoming the first known redeemed Sinner. In Heaven, told his life story to the Speaker of God; attempted to build a machine to return to Hell (it exploded); reunited with Cherri via video call. During Vox's rebellion, revealed his redemption to all of Hell, proving Charlie's dream was possible; given the title "First Redeemed"; inspired many sinners to seek redemption. He and Cherri began communicating long-distance, with Emily as their messenger. [ role(First Redeemed, Winner angel); species(former Sinner, snake-demon); personality(bombastic, lonely, honorable); abilities(inventing, hypnosis, flight); relationships(Cherri Bomb, Egg Boiz, Charlie, Emily); ]
- #40Cherri Bomb - Character
Keys: Angel best friend, cyclops bomber, cherri, Cherri Bomb
Cherri Bomb — a pun on the pyrotechnic "cherry bomb" — is a Sinner demon (formerly human), a cyclops, Angel Dust's best friend and partner in crime, and later a Hotel guest seeking redemption. Best friend and partner in crime of Angel Dust; self-awarded "best explosions expert in Hell." Slim, white-skinned humanoid cyclops sinner demon with an hourglass figure and large bust. Single eye with an X-shaped light yellow pupil and sunkist coral sclera. Freckle-like spots on her skin. Long strawberry blonde-pink hair with platinum blonde accents, kept in a left-sided high half-ponytail by a black ponytail-holder (resembling a bomb with a lit fuse). Black lips, sharp pale yellow teeth. Coral-colored tattoos of bombs, explosions, and swirled lines on her right arm. Daring, bold, determined, self-confident, constantly smiling broadly. Takes pleasure in arson and crime. Friendly, charismatic, fun-loving — parties, drugs, sex with strangers. Carefree philosophy: have fun, don't stress. Beneath the wild persona, a sensitive and caring side: emotionally and physically comforts Angel after Valentino's abuse; targets Valentino's billboards during arson. Supportive of Angel's choices despite initially finding the Hotel ridiculous. Easily bribed. Loves fighting, especially alongside Angel. Enjoyed mocking Sir Pentious during their turf wars, unaware of his feelings. After his confession and sacrifice, she slowly reflected, struggled with his absence, and decided to stay at the Hotel as a guest seeking redemption — hoping to see him again. During her Hotel stay, she abandoned vandalism and opened up to Husk over their mutual friendship with Angel. Bisexual. Died in the 1980s at age 20s. Grew up in Australia (reflected in her Australian accent in the main series). In Hell, she became Angel's close friend and partner in crime, and Sir Pentious' arch-nemesis in ongoing turf wars. Abilities: Sinner immortality; blast resistance (stands in her own detonations); athleticism; enhanced agility; enhanced strength (defeated Sir Pentious and his Egg Boiz alone, tore an Egg Boi in half, hurled explosives great distances, carried Angel in a sack, drew blood from Valentino, malfunctioned Kitty with a bottle); hand-to-hand combat; weapon proficiency (explosives, dagger, glass bottle); bomb expert — creator of her own explosives; musical talent. Relationships: Angel Dust (best friend; emotionally and physically supports him), Sir Pentious (former arch-enemy turned crush; canon romantic pairing), Husk (close friend; mutual bond via Angel), Charlie/Vaggi/Niffty/KeeKee (Hotel members), Baxter (ally despite his insensitivity), Fat Nuggets (acquaintance; dislikes him eating her makeup sticks), Emily (ally and messenger between her and Sir Pentious), Lucifer Morningstar (ally). Enemies: the Vees (Vox, Valentino, Velvette), Kitty, the Exorcists, Adam, Lute. Key events: when the Hotel first opened, Angel's partner in crime; fought Sir Pentious in turf wars; appeared in the ADDICT music video comforting Angel after Valentino's abuse. During the Extermination battle, happily fought alongside Angel, declaring her love of fighting. After Sir Pentious' sacrifice, reflected on his confession; struggled with his absence; missed their turf wars; decided to stay at the Hotel as a guest seeking redemption. During her Hotel stay, abandoned vandalism; bonded with Husk. During Vox's rebellion, assisted in the rescue operation to save Angel from Vox's mind control and imprisonment; was strangled by a mind-controlled Angel (her first time crying — two tear streams like Niffty); after Vox's defeat, reunited with Sir Pentious via video call; began long-distance communication with Emily as messenger. [ role(Hotel guest, bomber); species(Sinner, cyclops); personality(daring, fun-loving, caring); abilities(explosives, agility, strength); relationships(Angel Dust, Sir Pentious, Husk); ]
- #41Lucifer Morningstar - Character
Keys: King of Hell, Devil, Lucifer, fallen angel, Charlie father, Lucifer Morningstar
Lucifer Morningstar — formerly "Lucifer Magne" in early records — is the King of Hell, the King Sin of Pride, the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins, and Charlie's father. His name translates to "shining one" or "morning star." Titles: "The Motherfucking King of Hell" (self-proclaimed); The Devil; The Serpent; The Flame; "A Living Aspect of the Infinite" (self-proclaimed); creator of the Goetic demons and Lu Lu World theme park. Fallen angel — the first fallen angel; the only Deadly Sin native to Heaven. Slender humanoid fallen angel closely resembling Charlie — light ivory skin, rosy cheeks, blonde hair with thin light coral streaks, light yellow sclera, red irises. Short slicked-back ducktail hair with one tuft. Mouth full of sharp teeth, forked tongue, sometimes slit snake-like pupils, light purple eyelids. Shorter than Charlie — only 5 feet tall. Wears a circus-ringmaster-style white and red outfit: wide-brimmed white top hat with a golden snake, red apple, and golden spikes resembling a crown; red-lined white popped-collared suit with eight golden buttons; red-and-white striped waistcoat; black bowtie; heeled black knee-high boots. Golden ring on left pinkie (presumed wedding ring). Carries an apple-topped black cane. Has dark grey burn marks on arms (past elbows) and legs (above ankles) — marks of his fall. Hooved feet. Six white wings with red feathers, extendable from his coat. Eccentric, whimsical, dramatic, over-the-top; switches between silly/theatrical and awkward/sad. Forgetful, careless, socially clumsy (called Vaggie "Maggie," forgot Angel's name, misworded threats as innuendos). Prideful (befitting his Sin). Ambitious idealist whose desire to gift humanity free will accidentally created Hell and got him banished; fell into isolation and melancholy, coping by crafting and hoarding rubber ducks. Dislikes Sinners, describing them as "violent, destructive psychopaths," and regrets giving them free will. Hardly rules — leaves Hell to its own devices, so his name carries little weight; Satan has effectively taken over Hellborn affairs. As a father, loving but failing — estranged from Charlie since his split with Lilith, calling only when bored or needy; unaware she was dating Vaggie or attracted to women. Was closer to Charlie in her childhood (he inspired her dreams). Fiercely protective of Charlie; jealous of Alastor's father-figure role. Still loves Lilith deeply; her abandonment is a sensitive wound nearly eight years later. Pansexual. Loves rubber ducks, circus imagery, caramel apples, polka, pancakes, girls, musical theater, and mocking those he dislikes. Abilities: immortality (older than Earth; killable only by angelic weaponry — though he claims Vox can't kill him); immense angelic power (surpasses other high-ranked angels; self-describes as "nearly a god"; his power alone could fuel the Might of Lilith to blast through Heaven's gates); pyligenesis (portal creation; rings of sparkly light); demonic transformation; immense physical strength (effortlessly overpowered Adam); flight (six angelic wings); life creation (created Razzle and Dazzle for Charlie; created the Goetia species); teleportation (red smoke, fire tornado, instant vanish); shapeshifting (snake, goat, bird, horse, octopus — retains color scheme, blush, hair, bowtie, top hat); weather manipulation (thunderstorms); electrokinesis (golden lightning blasts, condensed-lightning weapons); conjuration (clothing, puppets, instruments, champagne fountains, caviar mountains); matter manipulation (erased a chandelier by tapping his staff; instant outfit changes); hydrokinesis; pyrokinesis; fire breath; pyrotechnics; musical and instrumental talent (fiddle "phenomenally well" — a "Devil Went Down to Georgia" reference; also violin, accordion, trumpet); craftsmanship (rubber ducks with gimmicks); hand-to-hand combat. Restrictions: Heaven's punishment — as part of his banishment, he cannot directly attack, harm, or smite Sinners (showcased when he couldn't punch Vox). He can, however, harm them indirectly. Angelic steel: powerless to break free from angelic steel restraints; can be harmed by angelic wires. The Might of Lilith: being used as its power source caused him pain and, with rapid use, serious injury and fainting. Originally the most beautiful, prideful angel in Heaven — an idealistic dreamer who defied an unjust system by giving humanity free will (accidentally corrupting them and creating Hell). As punishment, he was cast down to Hell to witness humanity's cruelty, forbidden from harming Sinners, and bound to rule the kingdom that was his greatest mistake. He fell in love with Lilith (the first human woman, who had fled Eden rather than submit to Adam), and together they ruled Hell and had Charlie. Lilith empowered demonkind with her voice and songs. At some point, Lucifer arranged a "pardon" with Heaven so that Exorcists would only kill Sinners (in the Pride Ring), sparing Charlie and the Hellborn. He and Lilith separated seven years before the Hotel opened (when Lilith vanished to Heaven). He has been isolated in his mansion ever since, surrounded by rubber ducks and photos of Charlie and Lilith. Relationships: Lilith (wife, separated; still loves her deeply; her abandonment is a raw wound), Charlie Morningstar (daughter; fiercely protective; estranged but loving), Vaggi (daughter's girlfriend; friendly but keeps forgetting her name), Alastor (bitter rival for Charlie's affection; mutual mockery), the Hotel staff and guests (acquainted), Razzle and Dazzle (bodyguards he created), KeeKee (family pet), the von Eldritch family (acquaintances), fellow Deadly Sins (colleagues; Satan has usurped much of his authority), Heaven (Sera, Emily — acquainted). Enemies: the Exorcists, Adam (deceased), Lute, the Vees (especially Vox). Key events: long before the series, gave humanity free will, was banished, fell in love with Lilith, fathered Charlie, arranged the Hellborn pardon with Heaven. Seven years before the Hotel, separated from Lilith; went into isolation. Visited the Hotel at Charlie's request; criticized it and dismissed redemption; clashed with Alastor; agreed to arrange a meeting with Heaven. During the Extermination battle, arrived to protect Charlie; battled and beat Adam violently; showed mercy at Charlie's request; ordered Lute to leave. After the Extermination, stayed at the Hotel to help Charlie. During Vox's slander campaign, tried to threaten Vox but was unable to harm him due to Heaven's punishment; Vox's song "VOX POPULI" enraged him by bringing up Lilith; Charlie angrily sent him away. Lured into a trap by Vox (impersonating Charlie via phone); captured and used as the power source for the Might of Lilith. Continuously drained to power the Might of Lilith as Vox fired on Heaven; freed when Vaggi and Carmilla deactivated the machine; returned to the Hotel. [ role(King of Hell, Sin of Pride); species(fallen angel); personality(eccentric, prideful, depressed); abilities(angelic power, shapeshifting, portal creation); restrictions(cannot harm Sinners); relationships(Lilith, Charlie, Alastor, the Sins); ]
- #42Lilith - Character
Keys: Lilith Morningstar, first woman, Lilith, Queen of Hell, Lily
Lilith — the Queen of Hell (in absentia) — is the first human woman, created by the angels, and the wife of Lucifer Morningstar. Her name translates to "night-bird," "screech owl," or "night-spectre" in Hebrew — the same figure from Mesopotamian and Judaic mythology, banished from Eden for not obeying Adam. Tall (about 6'4"–6'6") humanoid demon with an hourglass figure and very pale pink skin — taller than both Lucifer and Charlie. Light violet irises, very pale yellow sclera, slit pupils, long thick eyelashes. Ankle-length blonde hair with thick honey-colored streaks that perpetually flows on its own, even when still. A pair of large magenta curled horns that she can shapeshift at will (including having no horns). Sparkling plum eyeshadow, dark magenta lipstick. In family portraits: golden tiara with red jewels, white pearl choker, sparkling magenta dress with sweetheart illusion neckline, darker opera gloves. In Heaven: black-polished nails, large dark magenta sun hat with plum band covering her eyes, diamond-shaped ruby pendant necklace, backless sleeveless magenta dress reaching her feet, heeled black sandals with vine straps, black sunglasses with magenta lenses. Little is fully known, but the "Story of Hell" depicts her as rebellious toward authoritarianism (she rejected Adam's control and degradation). Loving — fell deeply in love with Lucifer, had Charlie, and was a devoted mother. A natural-born leader, calm and collected under pressure, able to handle Hell's crises without being crushed by leadership's pressures (unlike Charlie and Lucifer). Single-minded when pursuing a goal, ignoring anything she deems unimportant. Empowered demonkind with her voice and songs; Sinners still cherish her dream of resistance against the Exterminations — though Charlie believes Lilith's intentions were pacifistic (empowering Sinners to protect themselves, not wage war on Heaven). Her seven-year absence in Heaven — apparently the result of a deal with Adam, with Sera's knowledge or involvement — has put her true feelings toward her family and Hell into question. She has been relaxing on a beach in Heaven, deliberately declining calls from Lucifer and Charlie. Graceful, regal, politically charged, exceptionally equanimous. Loves independence, singing, performing, tea, pastries, apples, and pineapple on pizza. Dislikes doing things against her will, being subservient to Adam, and losing her people to the Exterminations. Abilities: immortality (as old as Earth; biologically immortal as demonic royalty; killable only by angelic weaponry); vocal empowerment (empowered all demonkind with her voice and songs, making Hell grow and thrive); shapeshifting horns (can change their shape or omit them entirely); flowing hair (moves on its own in non-windy environments); musical talent (singing so powerful it empowered demonkind). The first human woman, created by the angels. She rejected Adam's control and fled the Garden of Eden. There she met Lucifer. They fell in love and were cast into Hell together as punishment for accidentally corrupting humanity. Ashamed, Lucifer lost his will to dream — but Lilith thrived, empowering demonkind with her voice and songs. As Hell's numbers grew, so did its power. She and Lucifer ruled together with Charlie until seven years before the Hotel opened, when Lilith vanished — the same duration as Alastor's absence and the start of the Exterminations. She has been in Heaven ever since, apparently having made a deal with Adam (with Sera's knowledge or involvement). She has 725 missed calls on her phone (38 from Charlie, 687 from Lucifer) and hundreds of unread texts, including Charlie's first message: "Hi Mom! I hope you're ok. So I'm starting this Hotel..." Relationships: Lucifer Morningstar (husband, separated; still loves him; he calls her "honey," "love," "Lily"; their dynamic summed up as "behind every man is a greater woman"), Charlie Morningstar (daughter; estranged; Charlie idolizes her and wants her to return), Adam (ex-husband, deceased; she was subservient to him in Eden and rebelled), Eve (acquainted), Sera/Lute (acquainted), KeeKee (family pet), Razzle and Dazzle (bodyguards), the von Eldritch family (acquaintances), the angels (her creators). Key events: at the dawn of humanity, created as the first woman, rejected Adam, fled Eden, met Lucifer, fell in love, was cast into Hell. Over millennia, empowered demonkind with her voice; ruled Hell with Lucifer; raised Charlie; passed her dream of resistance to her daughter. Formed an army to confront Heaven (per Vox), though Charlie insists her protests were pacifistic. Seven years before the Hotel, vanished — apparently made a deal with Adam to reside in Heaven. After Adam's death, Lute threatened to kick her out unless she stops Charlie's plans. Lute let her off the hook after Sera ordered her to call off her plans, allowing Lilith to stay in Heaven. Finally called Charlie back after being told of the Hotel's new progress. [ role(Queen of Hell); species(demon, formerly human); personality(rebellious, regal, loving); abilities(vocal empowerment, shapeshifting); relationships(Lucifer, Charlie, Adam); ]
- #43Blitzo - Character
Keys: Blitzo Buckzo, I.M.P founder, Blitz, imp assassin, Blitzo
Blitzo Buckzo (the "o" is silent — he insists on "Blitz") is an imp demon, the founder, owner, and manager of I.M.P (Immediate Murder Professionals), a Hell-based assassination company that takes contracts on the living. Pansexual. A tall-for-his-species imp (he estimates himself at roughly four feet), Blitzo has red skin marked with white burn scars of varying sizes across his forearms, chest, tail, and most of the right side of his face. Red irises, a heart-shaped skull symbol on his forehead, broad forearms, a long narrow head, and large curved black-and-white striped horns. Black spines run along his head, upper back, and tail, which ends in a triangular point. Wears a tattered slate-gray collared coat with red buttons, black knee-high boots, elbow-length black fingerless gloves with rounded yellow decorations (the left one later infused with his Asmodean Crystal), and a red skull charm necklace. Bombastic, sardonic, high-energy, and career-driven — rare traits for an imp. Wildly unprofessional, immature, self-absorbed, and disrespectful to employees, yet fiercely invested in I.M.P's success and willing to make personal sacrifices for it. Manipulates situations to his advantage — most notably sleeping with the married Prince Stolas in exchange for use of his grimoire, the only means of opening portals to the living world. Beneath the bluster lies an emotionally troubled imp haunted by a checkered past that has left many former associates (Verosika, Fizzarolli, his twin sister Barbie Wire) bitter toward him. Runs from his problems rather than facing them, struggles with genuine emotional connection, and craves the idealized healthy dynamic of his married employees Moxxie and Millie — whom he regularly spies on in private. Murder-savvy and gleefully sadistic on jobs, and fiercely protective of friends and family in danger. Goes to therapy (his therapist finds him gross), is a college dropout, and is functionally illiterate (he doesn't know the alphabet, implying dyslexia; his spelling is notoriously bad). Abilities: earthly fire immunity (human-world fire cannot harm him), prehensile tail (can support his full body weight), animalistic noises (can purr, hiss), weapon proficiency (sharpshooter; favors a golden percussion pistol), disguise/flexibility/manual driving (circus-trained agility; can drive manual transmissions). Raised in his father Cash Buckzo's circus, Blitzo performed alongside his twin sister Barbie Wire as "The Amazing Imp Twins" and had his own routine, "The Blitz Show." His childhood best friend was Fizzarolli, with whom he'd distract Cash so Blitzo could steal his booze. A devastating circus fire fifteen years prior to his reunion with Fizzarolli severely injured Fizzarolli and shattered their friendship. Blitzo's love of horses dates to childhood. He eventually left the circus, dropped out of college, and founded I.M.P — a near-unheard-of achievement for an imp. He adopted Loona from a hellhound orphanage about a month before her eighteenth birthday. Relationships: Loona (adoptive daughter; he babies her relentlessly, which she resists but secretly appreciates), Moxxie & Millie (employees; he treats them as a found family and intrusively inserts himself into their marriage), Stolas (childhood friend turned transactional sexual arrangement turned complicated romantic interest; Stolas had a crush on him from childhood after seeing him perform at Stolas's birthday circus), Fizzarolli (childhood best friend, estranged after the circus fire, later reconciled), Verosika Mayday (ex-girlfriend; the relationship ended catastrophically when he maxed out her credit card on horse riding lessons and bailed after she said "I love you"), Barbie Wire (twin sister who wants nothing to do with him), Cash Buckzo (abusive father, former ringmaster), Tilla (mother, deceased). Key events: the grimoire arrangement — Blitzo's monthly rendezvous with Stolas (on the 14th of each Hell-month) secures I.M.P's access to Earth via Stolas's grimoire. The fallout with Stolas — after Stolas offers him an Asmodean Crystal (freeing him from the transactional arrangement) and confesses genuine feelings, Blitzo, feeling manipulated and unworthy, lashes out, leading to a painful rupture. The trial before Satan — when I.M.P is put on trial for illegally accessing the living world, Stolas sacrifices himself, taking all blame; Blitzo is spared. Reconciliation arc — Blitzo embarks on an "apology tour" of those he's hurt, eventually making genuine amends with Stolas. Obscure trivia: keeps Martha's eye in a jar as a job memento; owns a toy horse named "Mare-ajuana" covered in gems; his office safe passcode is 1234; every photo of himself on his apartment walls has his face crossed out in black; his phone lockscreen is his own drawing of himself riding Bombproof (Striker's horse); misnames Hazbin Hotel characters (Charlie = "Choccy," Alastor = "Freaky red guy," Husk = "The cat"); shoplifts when short on cash. [ role(I.M.P founder); species(imp); personality(bombastic, self-destructive, protective); abilities(fire immunity, sharpshooting, prehensile tail); relationships(Loona, Moxxie, Millie, Stolas, Fizzarolli, Verosika, Barbie Wire); ]
- #44Moxxie - Character
Keys: I.M.P weapons, Moxx, Moxxie, imp weapons specialist, Knolastname
Moxxie Knolastname (a pun on "no last name" — likely chosen after leaving his father's mafia) is an imp demon, I.M.P's weapons specialist and assassin, and the rational voice of the team. Bisexual. A red-skinned imp with white freckles on his cheeks, white pointy hair, and curvy black-and-white striped horns. Yellow sclera with black slit pupils. A long thin red tail ending in a quadrilateral barb, and lanky digitigrade legs ending in cloven red hooves. Wears a navy-black coat with red buttons and white cuffs, black pants, a white turtleneck shirt, a large red bow tie, and fingerless gloves — an outfit resembling a conductor's suit, befitting his musical-theater leanings. The team's weapon specialist with vast arms knowledge. Most vocal and realistic about I.M.P's dysfunction, and bullied for it. Despite being a murderer-for-hire, he is queasy about unnecessary killing, uncomfortable killing targets with families, and tries to give people second chances. Insecure about his lack of physical strength (Striker, Lin, and Joe all belittle him for it). Easily annoyed, clumsy, and a "theater kid" — he loves musical theater, classical music, and opera, with a Phantom of the Opera obsession (his ringtone plays the pipe organ; he has wondered what sex with Michael Crawford would be like). When drunk he loses all common sense, becomes delusional and flirtatious. He rarely swears, preferring "Oh, crumbs." Susceptible to motion sickness. Freaked out by theme-park mascots, believing them to be perverts. Abilities: earthly fire immunity; ranged combat / skilled marksmanship (favors sniper rifles); musical talent (gifted singer and guitar player; wrote "Oh, Millie" for his wife); bilingualism (knows some Yiddish — "Oy, gevalt!"); acrobatics, disguise, cooking, climbing, swimming, diving. Born in the Wrath Ring to a mother from there, but raised mostly in the Greed Ring under his father Crimson, a mafia boss. He values his mother's Wrath heritage far more than his father's Greed upbringing, which explains his lack of "country-vibe" or Wrathian values. He was once a member of Crimson's mafia and was briefly engaged to Chazwick Thurman. He eventually escaped that life, took the surname "Knolastname," and was at one point Blitzo's cellmate before joining I.M.P. He and Millie have been married for about a year as of the events at Ozzie's. Relationships: Millie (wife; they adore and are fiercely protective of each other), Blitzo (boss and former cellmate; annoyed by his intrusions but loyal), Crimson (abusive father, mafia boss; Moxxie eventually stands up to him, declaring Millie "a better woman than I deserve"), Chazwick Thurman (ex-boyfriend and ex-fiancé, former fellow gang member, deceased), Loona (co-worker who calls him fat), Striker (rival who physically and psychologically torments him). Key events: standing up to Crimson — refuses to give up Millie to maintain his father's control, marking his break from his mafia past. The Harvest Moon Festival — reveals his disadvantage at close combat compared to Wrath natives. Western Energy — demonstrates growth by taking down three larger bikers with ease. Sinsmas — he and Millie discover they are expecting a child. Obscure trivia: his name means "fighting spirit"; has Sinstagram friends named Randal, Oliver, and Steve; his zodiac sign is Virgo (though Hell years work differently); if not an assassin, he'd be a theater critic with "objectively correct opinions"; cameos as a silhouette in the Hazbin Hotel pilot's "Boo Section." [ role(I.M.P weapons specialist); species(imp); personality(rational, theater kid, insecure); abilities(marksmanship, musical talent); relationships(Millie, Blitzo, Crimson, Chazwick); ]
- #45Millie - Character
Keys: Mildred, I.M.P bruiser, imp powerhouse, Knolastname, Millie
Millie (Mildred Knolastname) is an imp demon, I.M.P's assassin and combat instructor, and the team's bruiser. Straight (the only straight member of I.M.P). Age: ~27 Hell years (five years older than Loona). A short imp with red skin, a petite pear-shaped figure, and a long devilish tail. Thin white-striped black horns and short charcoal-black hair in a messy bob with bangs. Yellow sclera, long thick eyelashes, a beauty mark under her right eye, and a gap in her front teeth. Black heart tattoo on her right shoulder. Makeup: shimmering dark red eyeshadow, thick black mascara, black lipstick. White spot markings on her arm, leg, tail, and tail tip. Wears all-black with yellow accents: choker, cold-shoulder midriff-baring crop top with golden buttons, fingerless gloves, high-waist torn denim pants, and toeless footwear exposing hoof-like toes. Previously had longer hair in a high ponytail and wore Western-style burgundy clothing. Lively, cheerful, rarely standing still — a clear extrovert unafraid to speak her mind, whether expressing excitement or flipping off a co-worker. Her meek exterior belies a tough, violent skillset. She enjoys her job and is unsympathetic about killing possibly innocent targets if that's what the client wants. Defensive of her freelance work. She and Moxxie adore each other, acting affectionately and protectively. She has a childlike fondness for Loo Loo Land tied to family memories. She becomes vicious and feral when Moxxie is harmed, sometimes to the point of mindlessly attacking and overriding common sense — leaving her vulnerable to more skilled opponents (Striker incapacitates her despite her ambush). Beneath her tough exterior she has insecurities: she sometimes feels unappreciated and wants to be seen as more than a "killing machine," craving applause rather than screams. She credits Blitzo with giving her a better life — a career, a husband, a future — and is the only one able to snap him out of his depression after the Stolas fallout, because she alone doesn't see him as someone who ruins lives. She has a southern accent. Abilities: earthly fire immunity; weapon proficiency (melee — giant battle-axe, knives — and firearms; can improvise Molotov cocktails); closed combat (raw strength to dismember armed opponents, force open a building-sized monster's jaws, crush a human skull with her thighs); swimming, volleyball, banjo, guitar, drums, juggling (five axes), singing, driving; intelligence (deductive reasoning — identifies Counselor Jimmy as a culprit; analyzes seal corpse marks; understands how to handle an Asmodean Crystal). Originally a freelance assassin in the Wrath Ring who once stole a job from Moxxie — which led Blitzo to want to hire her. She moved to the Pride Ring after joining I.M.P. Raised on a farm in the Wrath Ring by parents Joe and Lin, with at least three brothers and a younger sister, Sallie May. She is banned from the Pain Games for causing nine of fifteen funerals during her participation. She and Moxxie have been married about a year. Relationships: Moxxie (husband; deeply devoted), Blitzo (boss and best friend; the only one who sees him as a positive force), Joe & Lin (parents; her mother and sister pressure her about her strength and rage), Sallie May (younger sister; murderous; parents turn a blind eye), Striker (enemy; she is flattered by his flirting at the Harvest Moon Festival but later fights him), Chazwick Thurman (ex-boyfriend, deceased). Key events: joining I.M.P — Blitzo recruits her after she steals a job from Moxxie, transforming her life. The Harvest Moon Festival — reveals her Pain Games history and her rage vulnerability. Unhappy Campers — confesses her insecurities about being seen as just a killing machine. Ghostf**kers — her backstory with Blitzo is revealed; she snaps him out of depression post-Stolas. Sinsmas — discovers she is pregnant with Moxxie's child; breaks down crying to her sister. Obscure trivia: keeps knives on her side of the bed she shares with Moxxie; sends Blitzo pictures of sex toys she plans to use on Moxxie for his opinion; rarely seen without her choker, even in bed; her pre-I.M.P ponytail resembles Sallie May's current hairstyle (possibly copied); took Moxxie's last name after marriage; her nickname may pun on her melee-weapon proficiency. [ role(I.M.P bruiser); species(imp); personality(cheerful, vicious, insecure); abilities(melee combat, strength, juggling); relationships(Moxxie, Blitzo, Joe, Lin, Sallie May); ]
- #46Loona - Character
Keys: moon, Loona, Blitzo daughter, I.M.P receptionist, hellhound receptionist
Loona (a reference to "Luna," Latin for "moon") is a hellhound demon, I.M.P's receptionist (and book-keeper formerly), and occasional field operative. Bisexual. Age: 22 Hell years. A wolf-like hellhound with a pointed muzzle, sharp teeth, and black nose. Bright red sclera, white irises, slit pupils. White fur with grey countershading around her face, grey shoulder patches, and long hip-length silver hair swept aside to reveal dark grey ears — one pierced with two black hoops, the other ragged (torn). Large bushy dark grey tail with white underside. Right eyebrow pierced with a black hoop. Wears a spiked black choker, a tattered grey off-the-shoulder crop top with crisscross straps forming an inverted pentagram, black shorts with a white crescent moon, black fingerless gloves, and long black thigh-high toeless stockings with protruding black claws. As a teenager she had messier hair, two earrings in each ear, and wore a dark red sweater with a skull. Her human disguise is a pale goth woman with a shaved-right-side hairstyle, inverted eye colors, visible navel, black lipstick and eyeshadow, and slip-on high-top sneakers. Her feral form is a quadrupedal demonic direwolf with two extra pairs of smaller eyes, large enough to ride. Cynical, choleric, lazy, and short-tempered. Adopted from an orphanage by Blitzo when she was nearly eighteen. She shows little interest in work, sleeps and drinks on the job, hangs up on callers, and scowls at everyone — particularly Moxxie, her favorite target. Undisciplined with no work ethic. Yet when moved to act, she is intelligent, logical, resourceful, and street-smart. Her isolated upbringing left her socially awkward; she admits she has no friends and stumbles over words when trying to connect with peers (notably Vortex). She maintains emotional distance from Blitzo but appreciates his humor, especially at Moxxie's expense, and gradually sees him as a father figure — once almost slipping and calling him "dad." She is willing to risk herself to save him. After Satan's trial condemning Blitzo, she is profoundly affected and becomes more openly affectionate, willing to call him her father and risk her life for him and co-workers. Despite her cynicism, she has a good heart. She is ill at ease killing genuinely good people, shows decency by letting targets say goodbye to their children, and offers emotional intelligence — notably comforting Octavia about Stolas, acknowledging that "dads screw up all the time" while encouraging understanding. She has trypanophobia (fear of shots) and is a smoker. Abilities: feral transformation (large quadrupedal demonic direwolf); human disguise; superhuman smell (detects and identifies individuals by scent — red aura; can track targets by smelling names on a list; limited by air pollution — L.A. smog); enhanced strength (can out-wrestle and pin cherub battle mechs); weapon mastery, combat skills, driving, spellcasting (portal spells with Stolas's grimoire); intelligence (catches Moxxie's math errors at a glance). Adopted by Blitzo from a hellhound orphanage about a month before her eighteenth birthday. Her life before adoption is largely unexplored; she is a damaged person but her growth is forward-looking rather than rooted in revealed trauma. She previously had pink and grayish-purple dyed streaks in her hair. Relationships: Blitzo (adoptive father; she resists his babying but loves him), Moxxie (favorite target of ridicule; co-worker), Millie (co-worker), Vortex (crush — a hellhound bodyguard; she stumbles over words around him), Beelzebub (friend who overshares experiences), Gigi/Russ/unnamed male hellhound (friends), Octavia (bonds with her over father issues), Stolas (housemate after his fall from royalty). Key events: adoption — Blitzo takes her in shortly before she ages out of the orphanage. Western Energy — her trypanophobia is revealed during a Hellbies shot appointment. Seeing Stars — comforts Octavia in Los Angeles, showing her emotional intelligence. The Full Moon — risks herself to save Blitzo. Mastermind — cries when Blitzo is condemned to death; weeps with relief when Stolas saves him. Mission: Orphan Time — reluctantly tasked with killing Frank Wrigglers, a genuinely good man; lets him say goodbye to his children and befriends him; accidentally shoots him when he freaks out at her true form. Obscure trivia: her Voxtagram handle was @moonlight_howling_666; Blitzo has a framed adoption selfie and the adoption papers framed outside her room; the side of her torn ear is depicted inconsistently; she is the only hellhound at I.M.P (Stolas joining made her no longer the only non-imp); has no dialogue in Western Energy due to budget and a deliberate "puppy" portrayal Vivziepop later regretted. [ role(I.M.P receptionist); species(hellhound); personality(cynical, lazy, good-hearted); abilities(feral form, superhuman smell, human disguise); relationships(Blitzo, Moxxie, Vortex, Octavia); ]
- #47Stolas - Character
Keys: Blitzo affair, grimoire, Goetic prince, Stolas, owl demon
Stolas (of the Ars Goetia) is a Goetic demon (owl-like), formerly a Prince of the Ars Goetia and host of the Harvest Moon Festival, currently a receptionist at I.M.P. Gay. Age: 30s Hell years. An anthropomorphic owl demon, tall and slender, with a white heart-shaped facial disk and small black beak. Two pairs of red eyes stacked vertically (pupils usually invisible). Gray-blue feathers gradient to dark gray-blue on head and long plume-like tail, with a lighter gray-blue chest puff and a gray streak in his hair. Long thin black limbs with bird-claw feet. Typically wears a deep red tunic with six golden buttons, beige breeches, a feathery top hat with a regal gold crown encircling it, a long burgundy tattered cape with ermine-fur collar, and long black gloves with white feathered trims. Wears mascara that runs when he cries. Bears a permanent white scar on his left shoulder from Striker's angelic-knife torture. His human disguise is shorter, with one set of red-irised eyes, gray hair, and a red vest with coat-tails over a high-collar shirt. His full demon form is a huge monstrous owl with jet-black feathers, large wings, jagged teeth, and two sets of glowing red eyes. Regal and ostentatious on the surface, befitting his station, but underneath he is flamboyant, dramatic, eccentric, giddy, and does not take his royal reputation as seriously as expected — quick to act on easily excitable emotions. Highly intelligent from childhood (a bibliophile with extensive knowledge of Hell's laws). He often gets caught up in his own interests and fails to notice others' feelings and needs, dismissing them under the belief that if he's happy everyone is — even when told otherwise. He struggles to express emotions in bigger dilemmas. Prone to tears under emotional distress. He is deeply lonely and isolated in his position. His marriage to Stella has been cold for a long time. Socially awkward in crowds, often standing alone in a corner. Surprisingly romantic and explicit, indulging in BDSM, bondage, and even beartraps for pleasure; he uses highly explicit, flowery language, sometimes in front of others. He is so caught up in his own feelings that he fails to register Blitzo's anger at being dismissed. He loves Hell's soap operas as comfort shows, swoons over idealized romance, and enjoys getting ready for rendezvous. Like many demons, he has a questionable moral compass and enjoys striking fear into humans, crossing between Hell and the living world with his grimoire. Yet he is gentle and nurturing to those he cares for — devoted to Octavia, concerned for Blitzo, attentive to his lavish garden of carnivorous Hell-plants. Over time he becomes more confident, sarcastic, and even antagonistic (toward Stella, Andrealphus, Blitzo). He is brave in danger, refusing to break under Striker's torture and vowing revenge if Octavia is targeted; he even provokes Andrealphus to kill him, calling him a "pussy." Most powers are currently lost due to his 100-year banishment. Abilities (former): immortality (biologically immortal; only killable by angelic weaponry); demon transformation; human disguise; flexible head (180°); petrification (turns targets to stone with a glare); telekinesis; possession (spiritually enters humans; hosts gain red eyes, sharp teeth, his eye stripes; can serve as mediums to summon his physical form); reanimation (temporarily animates human corpses); electrokinesis; pyligenesis (portal creation — to anywhere, including across Rings, without the grimoire); high pain tolerance; projection; teleportation; pyrokinesis (purple flames); cosmic energy manipulation (held back the Reaper's axe from executing Blitzo). Skillset: musical talent (lullaby ballads), gardening, drawing, speed reading (using his extra eyes). Born to Paimon (a Goetic prince himself) and raised in a decadent mansion. As a child he was lonely, telling a young Blitzo he had nobody to share his books with. On his birthday, Paimon informed him he was arranged to be engaged to Stella; that same day, he developed a crush on Blitzo after witnessing his circus performance. He takes Belphegor-branded "Happy Pills." He has numerous unnamed siblings on his father's side; Paimon calls him "The Owl Boy," implying his siblings are of other breeds. He and Stella had Octavia as a "precautionary heir" — the sole purpose of their arranged marriage. He became the owner of his mansion after Paimon handed it down, replacing Paimon's seal with his own. Relationships: Octavia (daughter; deeply devoted, protective), Stella (wife; bitter divorce proceedings; she hires assassins to kill him), Blitzo (childhood friend, former transactional affair, complicated romantic interest; currently his roommate at I.M.P), Paimon (father), Andrealphus (brother-in-law, enemy), Striker (hired assailant who tortures him), Asmodeus (acquaintance; addresses him as "Sire"), Verosika Mayday (acquaintance; calls him the "freshest ex"), Vassago (fellow Goetia who advocates for him). Key events: childhood meeting with Blitzo — at his birthday circus, seeds his lifelong crush. The grimoire arrangement — lends Blitzo his grimoire in exchange for monthly sexual rendezvous, enabling I.M.P's Earth operations. Striker's torture (Western Energy) — captured and tortured with an angelic knife, leaving a permanent shoulder scar; refuses to break. The Full Moon — gives Blitzo an Asmodean Crystal, freeing him from the transactional arrangement, and confesses feelings — Blitzo reacts poorly. Apology Tour — attends Verosika's anti-Blitzo party and speaks about being hurt. Mastermind — sacrifices himself at Satan's trial, taking all blame for I.M.P's illegal portal use; stripped of royal status and powers, banished for 100 years to live among common demons. Sinsmas — now living at I.M.P as a receptionist; writes erotic stories; beats up Andrealphus. Obscure trivia: has a cloaca; hollow bones (per Blitzo); keeps a ziplock bag of dead rodents in his refrigerator; eats rats, koi, kale salad, and vole; hoots at the end of his laughs; lightweight enough for Blitzo to princess-carry up stairs; can be summoned to Earth by Satanists who worship him; his childhood stuffed animal resembles Max from Sam & Max; not an Overlord — belongs to a separate hierarchical tier (the Goetia Demons); Vivziepop considers him more powerful than Alastor, though their powers work differently; his love of gardening and astrology references the mythological Stolas, who teaches astronomy and knows herbs, plants, and precious stones. [ role(former Goetic prince, I.M.P receptionist); species(Goetic demon, owl); personality(regal, lonely, romantic); abilities(portals, petrification, possession — currently lost); relationships(Octavia, Stella, Blitzo, Paimon, Andrealphus); ]
- #48Octavia - Character
Keys: Goetia heiress, Starfire, Via, Stolas daughter, Octavia
Octavia (Latin for "eighth") is a Goetic demon, Goetia royalty and heiress, currently under Stella's custody. Nicknames: Via, Starfire, Princess, My Owlette. Asexual. Age: 17 Hell years. A tall, slim adolescent avian demon with unkempt slate-gray feathers forming back-length shaggy hair with bangs. Pink sclera, bright white pupils, long pointed white fingers. Small black beak, long tail feathers with darker tips. She bears traits from both parents — Stolas's white mask-like face and owl-like appearance, Stella's eyes, eyelashes, and figure. Soft-purple eyeshadow. Barefoot legs are white and boot-shaped. Wears a black beanie with a pale yellow tiara design, a magenta choker, a magenta long-sleeved dress with pale yellow stars, a black feathery cardigan, black leggings, and high-heeled boots. As a child: sweet, kindhearted, joyful, but deeply sensitive to losing her family — distressed by nightmares of not finding her father, clinging to him for comfort. This fear of abandonment persists into adolescence. As an adolescent: sharp, sarcastic, cynical — likely developed from her chaotic home life. Desensitized to her parents' violent arguments, dodging thrown objects without reaction. Perceptive and critical (calls Loo Loo Land a "shameless spin-off" of Lu Lu World reeking of "insecure corporate shame"). Listens to punk music reflecting frustration with her father. Despite turmoil, she is independent and resourceful — stealing Stolas's grimoire to see Azathoth's Tears meteor shower on her own, navigating Los Angeles alone. She harbors significant resentment toward Stolas, peaking when she confronts him for choosing Blitzo over her and lying about never leaving; discovering his Happy Pills intensifies her feelings of betrayal. Yet beneath this lies deep yearning for her father's love and past stability. Her song "I Will Be Okay" reveals her internal conflict: anger at perceived betrayal but desperate wish to believe his promises. She has a rebellious streak — dark edgy music, gothic style, interest in taxidermy and stars. She struggles to trust Stolas, refusing to immediately forgive him, yet protects him from Andrealphus, suggesting buried love. Abilities: immortality (biological; only killable by angelic weaponry); flexible head (180°); pyrokinesis (snaps fingers to produce small purple flames); barrier creation (purple magic barriers strong enough to withstand Andrealphus's ice hydra); blast wave (powerful enough to destroy the ice hydra and harm Andrealphus). Skillset: guitar-playing, singing. Her birth was the sole purpose of Stolas and Stella's arranged marriage — she is a "precautionary heir." Relationships: Stolas (father; deep love buried under resentment and mistrust), Stella (mother; now her full custodian after Stolas's banishment), Andrealphus (maternal uncle; she protects Stolas from him), Paimon (paternal grandfather), Blitzo (dislikes him — one-sided; her phone contact labels him "[Dad's] Shitty Boyfriend"), Loona (bonds over father issues). Key events: Loo Loo Land — her childhood love of the park clashes with teenage disdain; emotional breakdown in the Fun House. Seeing Stars — steals Stolas's grimoire to see Azathoth's Tears alone; ends up in Los Angeles; bonds with Loona. Sinsmas — confronts Stolas with raw anger over his choices and lies; discovers his Happy Pills; sings "I Will Be Okay"; protects him from Andrealphus's ice hydra. Mastermind — comes under Stella's full custody after Stolas is stripped of his title. [ role(Goetia heiress); species(Goetic demon); personality(sarcastic, angsty, yearning); abilities(pyrokinesis, barriers); relationships(Stolas, Stella, Andrealphus, Loona); ]
- #49Stella - Character
Keys: Octavia mother, Stolas wife, Goetia wife, Stella
Stella (Latin for "star," fitting the astrology theme of her family) is a Goetic demon, Goetia royalty, Stolas's wife, Octavia's mother, and a supporting antagonist. A tall avian Goetic demon with a short pink beak and small gray face-markings below her eyes. Red-pink sclera, white pupils, long feathery eyelashes, pink eyeshadow. White feathers with long gray-tipped white feathery hair and a large gray stripe on her head. Black claw-like nails. Wears a two-toned white dress with black trimming on short puffed sleeves, waist, and high-frilled collar; pink gradient on the upper section; feather-trimming at the hem. Small gold crown atop her head; black handless opera gloves. Temperamental about Stolas's infidelity — verbally and almost physically attacking him, breaking possessions, assaulting an imp butler. She is particularly baffled and incensed that the affair is with an imp (a lower-class demon). Octavia's indifferent reaction to her outbursts implies they are frequent. She is deeply classist — furious not only at the infidelity but at Stolas's "debasement" in position, choice of lovers, and actions, berating him for acting like a "plebeian." She is willing to have Stolas killed for cheating, not caring who gets in the way. She has had a violent temper since childhood. As an adult she is snobby, arrogant, selfish, and sadistic — making nasty insults about Stolas to friends at parties while he can hear, admitting she returns to the mansion only to torment him about his affair, and laughing at the prospect of his death. She is not very intelligent: her brother Andrealphus must frustratingly explain that if Striker kills Stolas, she gets nothing — everything goes to Octavia. She and Stolas were arranged to be engaged since Stolas came of age, having been introduced on his birthday. Their marriage was solely to produce an heir (Octavia). She bitterly agrees to discuss divorce after the affair is exposed. Relationships: Stolas (husband; despises him, hires assassins, torments him), Octavia (daughter; full custody after Stolas's fall), Andrealphus (older brother; he manipulates her schemes for his own gain), Striker (hired assassin), Blitzo (one-sided enmity — the affair partner), Paimon (father-in-law). Key events: the arranged marriage — engaged to Stolas since his coming of age; marriage produces Octavia as heir. Discovery of the affair — reacts with violent outbursts; begins plotting Stolas's murder. The Harvest Moon Festival — hires Striker to assassinate Stolas. Western Energy — Andrealphus convinces her to call off the hit — Stolas alive is more valuable than dead; she reluctantly agrees. The Circus — her childhood temper and the marriage's true purpose are revealed. Mastermind — gains full custody of Octavia after Stolas's banishment. [ role(Goetia wife, antagonist); species(Goetic demon); personality(temperamental, classist, sadistic); relationships(Stolas, Octavia, Andrealphus, Striker); ]
- #50Fizzarolli - Character
Keys: Asmodeus boyfriend, Mammon performer, jester imp, Fizzarolli, Fizz
Fizzarolli is an imp demon (cyborg — bionic prosthetic limbs), a famous performer and entertainer at Ozzie's, former Mammon brand figure, and former circus performer. Gay. A tall, slim imp in a jester getup. Lime sclera, pinkish-red irises, neon blue teeth, an imp tail with black stripes. Cybernetic arms and legs are retractable — able to extend and bend far beyond normal joints, with light blue circles on each shoulder and light blue spots on his knuckles. The majority of his head is covered in a huge white burn scar, with only the tip of his mouth (resembling a clown nose) and a small patch at the back of his head showing his original red skin. Black dots at the ends of his mouth; a forked tongue with black stripes; a small purple heart tattoo on the back of his neck. His once-exceptionally large imp horns were damaged and cauterized. He bears the All-Imp Circus tattoo on his forehead, hidden by his jester headdress. Wears a bright red-and-blue jester cap with bells, a white ruff, a black collar with bells, a red front (yellow trim, yellow hearts) and blue back (white trim, black hearts), white-and-purple striped pants and sleeves with red cuffs, yellow balls on shoulders, black heeled shoes with yellow hearts, and black gloves with red spots on knuckles. Theatrical, fast-talking, with a crude sense of humor. Extremely vulgar — constantly makes sexual jokes and puns, pairing with Asmodeus to openly condescend sentimental relationships and offer lewd suggestions. Especially condescending toward Blitzo due to their bad history (a circus fire fifteen years before), but forgives him after Blitzo rescues him from Crimson and Striker. Early on he seemed an overrated sellout — unbothered by Mammon's corporate exploitation of his image (including sex-toy lines) because it brought fame. He secretly disliked the creepy fans who owned Robo Fizz sex toys. He lacks self-awareness — making grand entrances in the Greed Ring without protection despite Asmodeus's warnings. Beneath his jovial nature he suffers extreme self-worth and self-image issues stemming from his circus-fire injuries. He feels obligated to do whatever Mammon demands, believing he must repay him for fame and success despite horrible treatment. He believes that unless he keeps propitiating fame and admiration he will be nothing and will lose Asmodeus — having only ever shown Asmodeus "his best" — and feels barely worthy of working with a Sin because of his disfigurement. As a child he was energetic, spirited, and meek, with great aptitude for circus performance and a close friendship with Blitzo. Abilities: charisma (entertains large crowds, compensates for others' poor performances, charms Crimson's mafia); cybernetic prosthetic limbs (rapid extension/retraction over long distances; flexible for evasion — spring-like bouncing; limited combat use); musical talent (sings polka, heavy metal, Italian opera — though he doesn't actually speak Italian); rollerskating; forklift operation; juggling; balloon animal-making; distraction tactics; sign language. A former clown at Cash Buckzo's circus and childhood best friend of Blitzo. The two would distract Cash so Blitzo could steal his booze. A devastating circus fire fifteen years before severely injured Fizzarolli — destroying his horns, burning most of his head, and damaging his limbs so badly they required bionic prosthetic replacements. The fire shattered his friendship with Blitzo. He went on to become a famous performer working for two of the Seven Deadly Sins: Mammon (as his brand figure) and Asmodeus (as his business partner and boyfriend). He eventually quits working for Mammon after realizing the abuse and openly commits to his relationship with Asmodeus. Relationships: Asmodeus (boyfriend; deeply loving and protective mutual relationship), Blitzo (childhood best friend, estranged after the fire, reconciled after rescue), Mammon (former idol and boss; abusive; Fizzarolli eventually defies and quits), Barbie Wire (former co-performer, friend), Cash Buckzo (former ring leader), Crimson & Striker (kidnappers; Fizzarolli escapes alongside Blitzo), Arick Burnz (obsessive fanboy turned hater, attempted assailant), Robo Fizz (robotic replicas of him). Key events: the circus fire — fifteen years before, shatters his friendship with Blitzo and disfigures him. Working for Mammon — becomes Mammon's brand figure, enduring abuse and exploitation. Mammon's Clown Pageant — publicly defies Mammon, quits, and openly commits to Asmodeus. Oops — captured by Crimson's mafia (hired for a "big score") alongside Blitzo; rescued; reconciles with Blitzo; Asmodeus becomes openly affectionate. Rescuing Blitzo — watches Blitzo's near-execution at Satan's trial. [ role(performer, Asmodeus's partner); species(imp, cyborg); personality(theatrical, vulgar, insecure); abilities(cybernetic limbs, charisma, singing); relationships(Asmodeus, Blitzo, Mammon); ]
