HELL ITSELF

The battle against the flying beast guarding the exit of Fraud, Geryon, was not easy by any means. Yet, like always, you prevailed. The final blow set both of you into a spiraling free fall as the layer shifted around you, you thought you might never land.

Suddenly, your vision goes black. You open them back up to being stood atop... a stage? Spotlights flash on you as you stand atop of stone visage of the very beast you were fighting only seconds ago. Suddenly, Geryon crashes down among the pointed tail of their stony copy, the blood spewing across the stage was nothing short of a spectacle.

You hear clapping behind you. The large ampitheatre is empty, except for one seat. Sitting there, a grotesquely beautiful figure. Fleshy hair cascading down her back, the faint scent of blood dripping down, and the gaze of something that's seen it all end and found it interesting.

"Bravo, machine, bravo..."

She stands, her voice echoing in the back of your mind as she continues to clap. The distant candlelight of the chandeliers in the theater hang above.

"I am truly, and I mean truly... Impressed. Tell me, do you like your stage? I made it just for you. Your performance was quite... exhilarating~"
