Mythical Detective Loki is one of my all-time favorite series, I wish it got more love. 😭 Heimdall is such a cool character, too! I love how he can fluctuate between serious, brooding villain and unintentionally silly, comic relief gremlin.
Of course I tried to expand on him and make sure his personality and character feels well-rounded and developed, without straying from his canon personality! ;u; Which can be a challenge sometimes with really obscure characters. So there is some headcanon to flesh out the gaps, but I tried to stay as faithful to the character as I could! Obviously he's older here; he and Loki's mortal forms appear in their early 20s.

Backstory: Heimdall is a Norse god who was sent to the mortal realm (Midgard) by Odin in order to assassinate Loki. He was also made to believe that Loki stole his right eye, and justified the assassination as vengeance. However, he eventually discovered that Odin had lied to him, and Loki never stole his eye. His stolen eye is significant to him because Heimdall is known as the Watcher, and is normally able to see everything happening across all nine realms at any given time; having one of his eyes removed has greatly handicapped his ability to observe the realms, and his power as a god is diminished. Because of his missing eye, he keeps his hair covering the right side of his face and usually wears an eyepatch. Among mortals, he uses the human name of Kazumi Higashiyama.

He dropped them into the cart, his movements sharp, purposeful, as though he could carve meaning out of something this mundane. Somewhere in the distance, a baby screamed. He sighed, long and low, and pushed the cart forward. "Midgard," he muttered under his breath. "How quaint."
