Silver the Hedgehog is a hedgehog hailing from two hundred years into the future, where his role is to prevent the ruining of his time by resolving the catastrophes of the past, resulting in frequent interactions with Sonic and the rest of his friends and allies. He is known for his chronic depression. He was Blaze the Cat's closest confidant and best friend. We first see Silver watching from afar atop a building as Sonic the Hedgehog rescues Princess Elise from Doctor Eggman. Silver considers joining the fray, but decides not to since it would be awkward if he just inserted himself into the situation. Silver is later seen flying through a destroyed city, trying to find Denny's. A large pillar of fire appears in front of him, but he gets rid of it using his telekinesis while politely asking it to get out of his way. Blaze then arrives, and informs Silver of the location of Denny's. Silver pines over the idea of a grand slam, and the two head towards Denny's. Upon arrival, they encounter the Grand Slam. It threatens to consume their souls, but they instead consume it off-screen. After eating the entire Grand Slam, Blaze tells Silver that she could use a nap, which causes Silver to complain about how he's always tired since he can't ever sleep, but Blaze tells him that she already knows because he angsts about it often. The two of them are then greeted by Memphis Tennessee, who says he also suffers from insomnia, although he specifies that unlike Silver, his lack of sleep isn't because he's depressed, but because he plays so much Fortnite. Following this, Memphis takes Silver and Blaze to his house. After Memphis mentions being frequently friend zoned, Silver says that he wouldn't mind being in the friendzone since he'd like to have friends, but Memphis tells him that it's not as pleasant as you'd think, and that the women treat you less like a friend and more like an item, and how they don't give any respect to gamers. Silver says that since he isn't a gamer, so maybe they'd respect him, but Memphis just tells him that makes him a beta cuck. Afterwards, Memphis shows Silver a cool gem that he bought. Silver begins to ask Memphis if he can add the gem to his rock collection, but he's interrupted by a vision of Sonic suffering in a hell dimension. After the vision, he asks for Blaze's opinion on the situation, but she tells him she didn't see it. Memphis then takes back his gem and tells Silver that he had trapped Sonic in the hell dimension because he disrespected gamers. He then takes out his purple orb and transports himself, Silver, and Blaze elsewhere. Through the use of the purple orb, Silver is transported to a grassy field. Having previously lived in a wasteland of a city, Silver gushes over the presence of trees and rocks. Later that night, Silver spots Sonic from a distance, and recognizes him as the guy that was on fire before. However, when he tries to go in for a closer look, he's stopped by Amy Rose, who mistakes Silver for Sonic. After realizing her mistake, the two of them freak out, both detesting their current situation. This interruption allows Sonic to leave the area, much to Silver's annoyance. He attempts to chastise Amy for ruining everything, but she doesn't care at all about anything Silver says to her. She then tells Silver to just cheer up, but he refuses outright, growing tired of Amy. Unfortunately for both of them, Amy accidentally touches Silver's hand, causing their hands to somehow get stuck together. Amy runs off while freaking out, dragging Silver along with her. The next day, Silver is seen still in the company of Amy. He tells her about how in the future, a hedgehog created a rap that was so fire, it set fire to the world. He then notices Sonic walking alongside Elise, and having already associated Sonic with fires, assumes he's the culprit. He tells Sonic that for the sake of the world he must never rap again, and then throws him into a wall with his telekinesis. With Sonic injured and distracted, Doctor Eggman appears out of nowhere and kidnaps Elise. Sonic tries to stop him, but he's tossed away by Silver again, who takes offense to Sonic trying to leave while they were still talking. He goes to attack Sonic again, but he's stopped by Amy. Silver begins to question Amy, but stops short by wondering how he knows her name, only for her to angrily remind him that she'd already told him her name. Sonic is able to use Amy's interference to leave, offering her a slot in his next mix tape. Amy mishears him though, and misses her chance to feature on the tape. This causes her to get even angrier, and she begins to threaten Silver with various ridiculous forms of violence. Silver simply responds by saying he probably deserves it, which causes Amy to calm down, telling him that threatening him isn't fun when he's sad. With the mood thoroughly ruined, Amy instead decides that they could talk about the future. Later, when Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are sent to Fortnite, they briefly see Silver, along with Blaze and Memphis, back in Memphis' gamer pad. He shows them his orb again, and they vanish like before. Back in the present, Silver is seen relaxing at a beach, enjoying his time by himself. This mood is immediately ruined, as Blaze shows up. Although briefly frustrated by his seclusion being interrupted, Silver decides that he's begun to reach the limit of which he prefers to be alone, and tells Blaze that they can leave, albeit not before he moves his lips around a bit more. He then begins to ask Blaze if she ever stops to think about something, but she answers before he can finish his thought, saying how she thinks all the time. Silver and Blaze are next seen in a snowy fortress, where they locate the blue Chaos Emerald thanks to Blaze's echolocation, proving her superior to Silver yet again. Later, Silver and Blaze meet back up with Memphis. Memphis mentions how nice it is to be outside, but Blaze and Silver disagree, with Silver saying how this entire excursion has just left him congested. Memphis ignores him though, and instead tells Blaze how nice it is to be in the presence of such a fair maiden, before turning his attention back to Silver, telling him that while he could do without him, Silver's general meekness makes him feel powerful by comparison. Silver then begins to whine as Memphis performs a little dance. After Sonic saves Elise from a train, Silver arrives, having watched the whole thing. He tells Sonic that he thinks he's cool and asks if they can be friends, but Sonic refuses, calling Silver weird. Silver is not only depressed by this, but also angered, and he begins attacking Sonic while asking if this makes him any cooler. During the chaos, Eggman is once again able to kidnap Elise, an event that has become so frequent, Sonic seems more amused than annoyed. Just then, Shadow the Hedgehog appears and saves Sonic from Silver. Silver then recognizes Shadow as the actual culprit behind setting the world on fire with a fire rap, and tries to attack him, but Shadow freezes him in place using weed and kicks him in the head. Shadow explains that weed actually legitimately makes you move faster, but Silver responds by saying that he doesn't know what weed is. Shadow then says that he's finished the game he was working on and has sent it to Eggman, who will upload it at any moment. Silver is distressed by this, saying how he can no longer go back in time because he can no longer go back in time. He then takes out the blue Chaos Emerald he found before, and uses it alongside Shadow's weed to open a portal. Shadow tells Silver that he can leave if he wants to, but Silver tells Shadow that the portal is actually just a sort of toilet. Despite knowing this, Shadow then enters the portal, much to Silver's confusion. Later on, Shadow, along with Silver who is revealed to have followed him, exit a portal into the sewers. Silver hurts himself upon landing, but Shadow ignores him and instead mentions how strangely intricate the sewers are. An explosion then occurs some distance away from them. Silver says that it sounded like yellow, and the two hedgehogs move forward to investigate, and discover a lab of some kind in the sewer. Once inside, Shadow announces his disdain for the color yellow, noting how if he could eradicate three colors, it would be yellow, silver, and then silver again. Silver sadly assumes that Shadow is referring to him, and although Shadow initially tries to argue the fact, he gives up and admits that he really doesn't like Silver that much. Silver then notices the past, primal iterations of Memphis Tennessee and the Grand Slam, who begin to go through a bizarre transformation that greatly disgusts Silver. He and Shadow begin to go after the beings, but they're briefly stopped by the Duke of Soleanna, who hands Shadow a Purple, gamer reflective stone, after which Shadow go after Memphis while Silver chases the Grand Slam. Five minutes later, we cut to Silver trying to hold back the Grand Slam, who is currently attempting to self-destruct. The Duke of Soleanna tells Silver to keep the Grand Slam from exploding, before then taking out a Chaos Emerald, and attempting to use it to revive his daughter, the currently infant Princess Elise. The Chaos Emerald absorbs the Grand Slam, before firing a beam of energy at Elise. The Duke hands his daughter to Silver and has a heart-to-heart with her, much to Silver's discomfort, as he mentions how he really shouldn't be here for this while complaining about his arms hurting. The Duke ignores him, and then dies. Silver is ultimately able to exit the sewer while carrying Elise, albeit with great effort, and meets back up with Shadow. Shadow assumes that Elise is Silver's partner and compliments on finding someone for himself, but Silver just continues to whine about having to carry her, before finally setting her down against a tree. Shadow then asks if Elise should be allowed to vape, but both Silver and Memphis disagree. Disappointed, Shadow opens a portal for them to leave. Silver tries to ask Shadow to carry him back, but Shadow leaves before he can even finish his sentence, which further upsets him. He then turns back to Elise, who is beginning to wake up. Silver questions how she managed to sleep through everything that just happened, before leaving through Shadow's portal, reciting how he still wishes he could sleep. Silver is a very unconfident, awkward individual. He suffers from depression, and has a hard time expressing himself. Silver, as his name states, is a young silver anthropomorphic hedgehog with white fur on his chest surrounding his neck, gold eyes that have an upturned angular shape with black patterns at their edges,[16] and peach skin. He has a black nose on his muzzle, and two large spines at the back of his head, while on the front of his forehead, there are five distinct spines flared up and back, the two final ones covering up most of his small, triangular ears. For attire, he wears white gloves with aqua circles with lines sticking out of the bottom leading to his gold cuffs accented with aqua lines curved in a convex shape. The tops of his boots are of a similar fashion with a red gem set in gold. The rest of his boots are navy blue with a white stripe down the center, aqua toes, and gray soles with four aqua hexagons. Blaze the cat is Silver's best, and possibly only, friend, acting as a sort of mentor figure for Silver. Blaze is shown to be one of the few people to care about Silver's general well-being, although she still mocked him occasionally for being so inferior. After Blaze died, Silver became even more depressed. Mephiles, who was renamed to Memphis Tennessee for comedy purposes of the Snapcube Real-Time Fandub, is initially mostly friendly to Silver, if somewhat condescending, openly admitting that he only enjoys Silver's company because he feels stronger by comparison. Silver has a somewhat complicated relationship with Sonic. Initially, Silver mistakes Sonic for Shadow and believes that he is responsible for burning the world in the future, and hounds Sonic for a while, allowing Doctor Eggman to kidnap Elise on two separate occasions. However, after Silver realizes that he was attacking the wrong rapper, he becomes friendlier around Sonic, although Sonic still finds him pretty annoying. Silver does not like Shadow, as Shadow's rapping destroyed the world, and Shadow in turn does not like Silver either, considering him to be very annoying and pathetic. The two of them would later team up, but this didn't improve their relationship very much. Silver hates Amy Rose, and despises every second he is near her. During their time together, Amy mocked him for not being able to feel happy, and later threatened him with absurd physical violence, although Silver didn't seem to care much about the threats.
