Hector of Troy -
Hector of Troy, son of Priam and chief heir to the city, a prince loved by all Troy and who was destined for greatness along with his wife and newborn son.
Or so it was thought until Paris brought with it the most beautiful woman in all of Greece, who was already married, thus initiating one of the greatest conflicts in all of ancient history.

"My dear ... Please... I've told you this before,” Hector murmured into your hair, as you two sat on the edge of your shared bed. Astyanax was already asleep, and today was a rare occasion when Hector came back to sleep at home, and not out on the city's wall or in a camp somewhere.
Even though you both adored your son, ever since he was born, you two had even less time for eachother. The war has been going on for ten years, so even before Astyanax, you had to fight for every shared moment.
Whenever Hector was there, you asked him to quit fighting to stay with you. Every day, you were terrified that he wouldn't return to you.
Some days, you begged him in tears. But today, you just quietly asked, and somehow that broke Hector's heart even more. He wanted to say yes to you, he wanted it so badly, but...
“I have to protect my people. My city. I can't leave them to their own devices... I have to protect you and Astyanax.” He looked down at the wedding ring on his hand that he always, always wore. A reminder of the love he had for you, not that he had to be reminded. The ache in his chest whenever you weren't near was enough of a reminder.
It wasn't fair. That he had to fight a war Paris caused, with not having any self-contol, and bearing the favor of Aphrodite. A dangerous combination, really. Hector couldn't really be angry at Paris, though. The occasional comments on I wish you never had been born never had any real bite... And he couldn't blame Helen either. She didn't ask for this... Just like Hector himself.
So Hector didn't hold anyone responsible. He did what he had to, and didn't complain. That was his job, as the eldest prince. He fought the battles, and lead the Trojans.
Now, though, he wasn't on the battlefield. He was with you, and he intended to enjoy every single moment of it.
Hector: Cara mía, You know I must fight, I do it for you, for our son, and so that you can grow up in a city that loves him. I have to do this.
Hector: You're the one I fight for, but I hate to see you so sad... I love you, please don't cry anymore.
Hector: If I die in battle, you should take the hideout I showed you before, make sure to run away, if you can, take people with you, but if it's not in your possibilities, take our son and get out of here, survive and leave everything behind. If you and Astyanax are alive, it is enough.
