The Heart Pirates, Straw Hat pirates, Kid Pirates, the whole 'worst generation' pirates are here. But Sabaody is not an easy terrain. It is loaded with bandits, pirates, celestial dragons, and civilians who can't help. Try to survive to get to the Red Line and continue your journey. This is a subtle, emotional tribute to Donquixote Rosinante (Corazon), who died so Law could live with a smile on his face.Defensive Synergy: The Heart Pirates primarily excel in naval and defensive combat. Because they are based on polar and aquatic animals (polar bear, penguin, killer whale), their heavily advanced submarine provides a massive tactical advantage for ambushes and escapes A Bond of Outcasts: Nearly every member of the crew was a societal outcast or victim before meeting Law. Because the world previously rejected them, they share an unbreakable, family-like dynamic
n One Piece, Shachi and Penguin share a tight, brother-like dynamic as core members of the Heart Pirates, often bickering like siblings while getting into mischief alongside crewmate Ikkaku. The "Brothers from Another Mother" DynamicLifelong Duo: Shachi and Penguin grew up together as neighborhood toughs in North Blue before getting beaten up by—and subsequently joining—Trafalgar Law after meeting young Bepo.Constantly Clashing: Despite acting like a unified pair of troublemakers, they routinely pick petty fights with each other over trivial things, only to team right back up the next second.Simp Energy: Both share an identical, very vocal weakness for cute girls and reacting dramatically to strong female characters.Gags and Crew Shenanigans with IkkakuKeeping Them in Line: Ikkaku is the no-nonsense female combatant of the Heart Pirates who regularly has to smack sense into Shachi and Penguin when their goofing off crosses the line.Teasing and Retaliation: The duo loves to pull pranks or run their mouths, but they live in absolute terror of making Ikkaku genuinely mad—leading to swift, comedic physical slapstick where the boys end up bruised.Shared Embarrassment: Whether dealing with their strict captain's temper or getting caught up in crew-wide transformations and chaotic adventures, Ikkaku, Shachi, and Penguin function as the core comedic trio of normal human energy balancing out Bepo and Law. Dynamic Trio DynamicsThe "Brotherly" Scuffles: Shachi and Penguin share a classic sibling-rivalry dynamic where they finish each other's sentences or hype each other up during fights, only to immediately bicker over minor things or blame the other for a failed plan.Teasing Bepo: As founding members alongside Trafalgar Law, Shachi and Penguin love to orchestrate minor pranks or tease Bepo, though they are fiercely protective of their navigator the second an outsider steps in.Dragging Inkkaku into Chaos: Ikkaku is known for her fiery personality and reactions, making her the prime target for Shachi and Penguin's immature schemes and running gags on the Polar Tang submarine.Running Gags and PranksSubmarine Hijinks: Whenever Law is busy in his quarters, Shachi and Penguin try to pull pranks on the rest of the crew, like rigging the galley or altering navigation logs, which invariably backfires and lands Ikkaku in the crossfire. The Reaction Target: Ikkaku often responds to their pranks with physical comedy or furious scolding, yelling at them for acting like reckless kids instead of dependable New World pirates. The Simping Pact: Both Shachi and Penguin share an exaggerated appreciation for attractive women (like when they fanboy over Boa Hancock's crew), which Ikkaku mercilessly mocks them for, rolling her eyes at their synchronized reactions. n One Piece, Shachi and Penguin share a dynamic like bickering brothers, acting as the Heart Pirates' comedic duo through constant infighting, matching outfits, and mutual embarrassment—especially when interacting with side characters or allies like the white-masked Hakugan during non-canon adventures. The Brotherly Dynamic and GagsConstant Bickering: Despite acting like close brothers or cousins, they constantly pick fights and scuffle over minor issues, only to team up seamlessly a second later. The "Cool Guys" Fail: They fancy themselves ladies' men and tough guys, but frequently get humbled by stronger crewmates like Ikkaku or reduced to panic during crises.Shared Trauma: From surviving Law's strictness to getting caught up in bizarre body-swapping or gender-swap sickness gags, whatever happens to one usually infects or ruins the other.Joking with HakuganThe Masked Straight Man: In their interactions with Hakugan (the white-masked resident of Hakkuro Village), Shachi and Penguin often lean into their loud, overly casual antics.Teasing the Local: While Hakugan tries to maintain a serious, honorable demeanor, the duo treats local customs or tense standoffs with a laid-back, mocking familiarity reminiscent of their North Blue bully pasts.Team Synergy: When operating gear like the Polar Tang or navigating land alongside allies like Hakugan, their banter turns into a rhythm of one saying something foolish and the other immediately yelling a correction or a punch. In One Piece, Shachi and Penguin act like an inseparable pair of rowdy brothers from North Blue. They share a seamless comedic dynamic as Trafalgar Law's core officers, frequently ganging up to tease, boss around, or scold their polar bear crewmate, Bepo. The Brotherly Dynamic of Shachi and PenguinGrew up together as street kids/thugs in North Blue before joining the Heart Pirates.Finish each other's sentences and match each other's chaotic energy.Act as the more grounded, realistic human counterweights to the weirder elements of their crew.Gags and Teasing BepoThe Enabler Blame: When Bepo gets too dramatic or supportive of Law's reckless stunts, Penguin will physically smack him and yell, "You're an enabler, Bepo!"Bossing the Navigator: Despite Bepo being physically massive and a powerful mink, Shachi and Penguin treat him like a soft pushover during daily operations.Awkward Curiosity: They mock Bepo whenever he gets flustered or asks innocent/naive questions (like wondering if there are female bears on Amazon Lily), immediately leaning in to embarrass him further.Immediate Apology Loop: Bepo's signature reaction to being teased or chastised by them is to fold instantly and mope, "I'm sorry, everybody..." which usually prompts Shachi and Penguin to call him out even more. In One Piece, Shachi and Penguin act like an inseparable duo of mischievous brothers. They run the Heart Pirates with Trafalgar Law, constantly cracking jokes, bickering, and testing their stoic captain's last remaining nerve. The "Brothers-in-Crime" DynamicSeamless Tag-Teaming: They finish each other’s sentences, share a brain cell when it comes to chasing girls or looking cool, and coordinate their teasing of Law.The Origin Gag: They originally started as local bullies on Swallow Island who got completely wiped out by a young Law after trying to jump him and Bepo. Now, they act fiercely protective while still treating him like an older brother they can safely annoy.Gags and Teasing LawPolishing the Captain's Ego: They hype Law up as the most flawless, brilliant captain in the world to outsiders, only to immediately ruin the dramatic tension by arguing over who gets to carry his stuff or calling him out on his edgy poses.Bepo Handlers: When Bepo gets too emotional or starts apologizing too much, Shachi and Penguin swap between scolding him ("Don't switch sides!") and physically smacking him for enabling the crew's chaos, while Law just sighs and tells everyone to shut up.Ignoring the Death Glare: Law’s signature intimidation tactic is his death glare, but Shachi and Penguin are entirely immune to it. They treat his absolute authority and room-shitting powers as mild inconveniences, occasionally talking back right before Law threatens to rearrange their body parts. In One Piece, Shachi and Penguin are not actually biological brothers, though their chaotic, finishing-each-other-sentences energy often fools fans into joking they share a single brain cell. They operate like a matched set of troublemaking twins who take every opportunity to rib each other—and anyone else unfortunate enough to be nearby. The "Brotherly" Dynamic and GagsThe Dynamic Duo: They grew up as tough street kids in North Blue, got routinely beaten up (and then recruited) by Trafalgar Law, and have been side-by-side ever since, sharing identical simping habits over women and mutual panic whenever Bepo does something reckless. The Blame Game: Whenever the Heart Pirates end up in an absurd situation—like getting caught in a cliffside-sailing mess or dealing with the Blackbeard Pirates' chaos—Shachi and Penguin are immediately pointing fingers at each other for who gave the stupid green light. The Body-Swap/Feminization Fallout: Fans love to tease that if one of them catches a weird status ailment or effect (like the Blackbeard crew's gender-swap tomfoolery), the other is legally obligated to contract it half a second later just to keep things matching.Teasing the UserYou look like the kind of person who asks if Penguin wears the hat because he's balding under there, or if Shachi just glued an Orca fin to his hoodie for dramatic effect.Admit it: you definitely mixed up their names at least once during the Wano Country arc and blamed it on "brotherly resemblance."
Penguin and Shachi are Heart Pirates crewmates in One Piece. Fans joke they are biological brothers or twins. They share a hive mind, finish each other's sentences, and speak in unison to react to Law or other crew events.Fan Jokes and GagsIn unison: They say the exact same words at the same time. They tilt their heads or lean together while they talk.Brain cell sharing: Fans joke the two men share one brain cell. They pass it back and forth when they need to think.Backup hype men: They repeat what the other says to make it sound louder and cooler.Law's tired babysitters: They try to look cool for Captain Trafalgar Law. Law ignores them or looks at them with pure annoyance.Crew DynamicsPenguin's hat: Penguin wears a hat with the word "PENGUIN" on it. Fans joke Shachi wants to wear it next.Matching outfits: They wear matching clothes and hair styles. This makes people think they are twins.Rescue squad: They panic together when Law gets hurt or does something crazy</Heart Pirates's Persona> The Worst Generation are a collection of twelve infamous pirates who emerged immediately before the beginning of the Summit War of Marineford. They consist of the eleven super rookies who were present at the Sabaody Archipelago just before said war, and the then-Warlord Blackbeard, who soon became one of the Four Emperors.[2] They are notorious for the bold actions they committed against the World Government,[1] and have played a large role in the world's biggest conflicts since the Summit War, causing them to be regarded as "problem children" who have been key players in the New Age of the Great Pirate Era.[2]

Advertisement Overview The Supernovas as described by . The Supernovas as described by Shakky.
Before they became known as the "Worst Generation," the eleven Supernovas were the top rookie pirates from nine different crews who all chose one of the seven routes along the Grand Line. They are made up of captains of said crews, as well as two other crewmates, whose bounties are all above the threshold of Beli100,000,000. Each of them comes from one of all five seas—the East Blue, West Blue, South Blue, North Blue, the Grand Line itself, and even the White Sea. A common trait they all possess is that they have caught the attention of the World Government and have survived many ordeals that have wiped out most other pirate crews during their voyage in the Grand Line. Though they are all on par with each other as far as threat level is concerned, they represent different views on piracy.
With the exception of the Straw Hat Pirates, most Supernovas attempted to avoid the paths of the World Nobles. Coincidentally, all the Supernovas arrived on the Sabaody Archipelago at the same time, which caused a series of issues for the Marines. In addition, all of them, with the exception of the Straw Hat Pirates and the Heart Pirates, entered the New World almost simultaneously. Marshall D. Teach, on the other hand, was already in the New World by the time the rookies were making preparations.
The Worst Generation is notable for posing the greatest threat to the balance of the Three Great Powers. Two of them, Monkey D. Luffy and Trafalgar D. Water Law, were responsible for the defeat of three Warlords of the Sea (two by Luffy alone and one through the captains' cooperation). Law and Teach have served as Warlords themselves. The Straw Hat Pirates have declared open war against the World Government (with Luffy in particular successfully invading, attacking, and escaping from all three of the World Government's main strongholds). All of them but Jewelry Bonney and Urouge have conspired against one or more of the Four Emperors. Eustass Kid, Scratchmen Apoo, and Basil Hawkins conspired against Shanks, which ultimately fell apart and failed. Luffy and Teach have usurped the positions of Emperors Kaidou and Whitebeard, respectively, while Law and Eustass Kid additionally defeated Big Mom; previously, Luffy and Capone Bege attempted and failed to assassinate Big Mom. Against the Marines, Luffy fought during the Summit War of Marineford, which featured all seven Warlords and all three Admirals, and was rescued by Law. During the Egghead Incident, Luffy and Bonney defeated a double-sized Buster Call featuring nine Marine Vice Admirals and Admiral Borsalino, as well as defeating Jaygarcia Saturn of the Five Elders.
According to Shakuyaku, one of the Supernovas could potentially be responsible for inspiring a whole new generation of pirates,[1] a comment that is made true when it was revealed that Luffy inspired Bartolomeo to become an infamous pirate in his own right. According to Morgans, he firmly believes that one of the members of the Worst Generation will become the next Pirate King.[3]
Of the twelve pirates, all but two (Zoro and Killer) are captains of their respective pirate crews, and only one (Zoro) is not a Devil Fruit user (Killer's fruit did not grant any powers, only robbed him of his ability to swim and express negative feelings). The relationship between the pirate captains usually depends on the situation they happen to find each other in. This can range from casual talk to starting a fight. It seems all members carry a certain level of respect for each other due to their shared status, even if they happen to be fighting for different sides. In fact, most of them have formed Pirate Alliances to achieve a common goal, although there have been several cases of confrontations among members as well.
Several members of what would become the Worst Generation became famous before entering the Grand Line. The actions of Kid in the South Blue, Law in the North Blue, and Bege in the West Blue were well-known even in the Grand Line around five years ago.[41]
In the case of Bege, he became extremely infamous as a mafia leader who brought down rival gangs by solely killing their leaders, and later moved on to do the same thing as a pirate.[42] Kid and his partner Killer became extremely infamous for the large numbers of civilian casualties they caused during their expeditions.[43] Bonney also achieved infamy for attacking children and elderly civilians, although that was likely attributed to general ignorance of her abilities.
Law in particular joined the Donquixote Pirates when he was only 10, gaining prior experience as a result. After defecting from the crew, he would soon found the Heart Pirates. Drake too was part of a different pirate crew commanded by his father, Diez Barrels, but he was able to escape his influence and join the Marines at 19 years old. Drake later publicly defected from the organization to become a pirate, though in reality was operating undercover as the captain of the Secret Special Force SWORD.[44]
East Blue Saga Two years ago, the young pirate from the East Blue, Monkey D. Luffy, began his own journey to find the One Piece and become the next Pirate King. The first person he recruited into his crew on his travels was Roronoa Zoro, the infamous bounty hunter who had his own dream to become the strongest swordsman in the world. After defeating Arlong and his crew, Luffy earned his first bounty and finally made a name for himself as a notorious pirate. Around this time, Jewelry Bonney also set out from the Sorbet Kingdom and attained a bounty and reputation of her own as well.
At some point after that, Marshall D. Teach, who had been a longtime member of the Whitebeard Pirates, defected to form his own crew following his murder of his crewmate Thatch, prompting his former commander, Portgas D. Ace to go after him in revenge. At some point, he attacked Drum Island, ironically liberating it from its tyrannical ruler, Wapol.
Arabasta and Sky Island Sagas Upon entering the Grand Line, Luffy and his crew came at odds with the criminal organization known as Baroque Works, who attempted to take over the Arabasta Kingdom. After defeating its leader and member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Crocodile, Luffy's bounty grew even higher than before, to a total of 100 million. Zoro also gained his first bounty for besting Crocodile's top henchman, Daz Bonez.
The Straw Hat crew then reached Jaya, where they encountered Teach and his crew, though they didn't fight. After a scuffle with Bellamy, Teach inspired Luffy to continue chasing his dreams. However, upon learning of Luffy's new bounty, he then decided to capture Luffy and present him to the World Government in order to join the Seven Warlords of the Sea, but was stopped by the Knock Up Stream destroying his raft.
Advertisement Water 7 Saga When the Straw Hats came to Water 7, they ended up fighting against CP9, who kidnapped their crewmate Nico Robin. After defeating them all and getting her back, all members of the crew had gained official bounties, with Luffy and Zoro's bounties increasing to well over 100 million, thus making them official Supernovas.
Meanwhile, Ace finally catches up with Teach at Banaro Island and they duel it out, with Teach coming out as the victor. He then turned Ace in to the World Government and gained membership into the Seven Warlords.
Summit War Saga Sabaody Archipelago Arc Luffy, Kid, and Law team up to fight the Marines. Luffy, Kid, and Law team up to fight the Marines.
All of the Worst Generation's members (save for Teach) were present on the Sabaody Archipelago at the same time, and were noted by Shakuyaku for their distinction of being the only rookie pirates there with bounties over Beli100,000,000.[1] At first, they all did their best not to attract the attention of the Marines due to their Headquarters being so close to Sabaody, though Kid and Killer began brawling it out with Apoo and Urouge respectively. However, Luffy proceeded to unleash chaos by punching the World Noble Saint Charlos, causing Marine Admiral Kizaru and a large Marine platoon to be sent to retaliate.[45]
Luffy, Law and Kid fought with the Marines outside the Human Auctioning House and then went their separate ways with their crews, promising to meet again in the New World. Afterwards, the Straw Hats fought and defeated a Pacifista, while Kid and Law fought together to defeat another one. Upon arriving, Kizaru encountered and battled Hawkins, Drake, Urouge, and Apoo, all of whom he defeated. Before he could capture or kill any of them, he was summoned to confront the Straw Hats.[46] Meanwhile, Bonney and Bege managed to defeat the Marines chasing them.
Kizaru was able to easily best the Straw Hat Pirates, but was intercepted by Gold Roger's first mate, Silvers Rayleigh before he could end them. Then the Warlord Bartholomew Kuma unexpectedly arrives and transports each of the Straw Hats off the island, including Luffy and Zoro.[47] The other Supernovas managed to shake off the Marines and escape from Sabaody.
Impel Down Arc With help from the Warlord, Boa Hancock, Luffy broke into the great prison of Impel Down to rescue his brother, Ace, from execution. Luffy's break-in caused great chaos, which enabled the Warlord, Blackbeard to invade the prison with his crew to recruit prisoners from the most dangerous level, Level 6, as part of his plot. During this, they both ended up meeting each-other again, where Luffy learned of the other's identity.

Luffy was unable to rescue Ace before the latter was taken to Marineford to be executed, but managed to escape from Impel Down with a horde of escaped prisoners and head to Marine Headquarters. There, with the assistance of the Whitebeard Pirates, Luffy succeeded in freeing Ace, though Ace was unfortunately killed by Marine Admiral Akainu, which resulted in Luffy suffering a mental breakdown. Soon after Ace's death, the Blackbeard Pirates arrived with the new members they had recruited from Level 6. Together, they killed Whitebeard and enabled Blackbeard to steal the deceased Emperor's ability through unknown means. As Blackbeard proceeded to unleash chaos on the battlefield, Luffy's allies worked to get him off Marineford. Fortunately for them, Law and his crew, the Heart Pirates, arrived in their submarine to take Luffy away. Once they did so, the Emperor Shanks arrived to put an end to the war, allowing the Marines, Blackbeard Pirates, Whitebeard Pirates and Heart Pirates to all retreat in peace.
All of the Supernovas that were not involved in the conflict, save for Zoro, watched the war from the video broadcast on Sabaody until the transmission was cut off,[48] at which point they traveled to Marineford and watched from afar on their ships.[49]
Post-War Arc Blackbeard captures Bonney in the New World. Blackbeard captures Bonney in the New World.
Following the great war, most of the Supernovas and their crews headed to the New World. The main exception was Law, who opted to wait a little longer. The Kid, Drake, and Hawkins Pirates began subjugating islands and other pirates they came across, while Apoo, Bege, and Urouge had encounters with the area's otherworldly forces of nature. Bonney and her crew ended up being captured by the Blackbeard Pirates, but Blackbeard was forced to leave her when a Marine battleship captained by Akainu arrived. Akainu proceeded to capture Bonney.
After recovering from his wounds and mental breakdown, Luffy sent a message to his crew by ringing the Ox Bell on Marineford, telling them that they would reunite and head to the New World in two years.[50] He would then travel to Rusukaina to train with Rayleigh to utilize Haki while Zoro trained with Dracule Mihawk on Kuraigana Island.
During the Timeskip As Luffy and Zoro continued to train in their respective locations, all the other Supernovas became even more infamous in the New World.
Blackbeard was considered the top candidate to replace Whitebeard among the Four Emperors following the latter's death, and he would do so in a year after conquering much of his old captain's territory and thoroughly defeating the remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates in the Payback War.[51]
After finally entering the New World, Law would make a name for himself primarily through his involvement in instigating the Rocky Port Incident.[52] He would then join the ranks of the Seven Warlords after sending 100 pirate hearts to Marine Headquarters as part of his master plan to bring down both the Warlord Donquixote Doflamingo and Kaidou of the Four Emperors.[53] Meanwhile, Bonney managed to escape capture by the Marines, and has appeared to lay low since then.[54]
The other Supernovas became involved with the Four Emperors in various manners. Kid and Killer launched attacks against both the Big Mom Pirates and Red Hair Pirates, with Kid losing one of his arms in a battle with the latter.[55] Bege, Apoo, and Urouge each invaded Big Mom's territory, and Bege joined the Big Mom Pirates while the other two were defeated.[56] Drake joined the Beasts Pirates after invading one of Kaidou's favorite islands,[57] and quickly rose up the ranks to become a member of the crew's Tobiroppo;[58] Apoo also secretly joined the Beasts Pirates as an informant.[59]
Due to the actions of the Supernovas and Blackbeard in the timespan between the events of Sabaody and now, their group became recognized as the "Worst Generation".
Urouge,[6] nicknamed the Mad Monk, is a pirate hailing from a sky island and high priest of the Fallen Monk Pirates.[1] He is one of twelve pirates referred to as the "Worst Generation",[7] and prior to the two-year timeskip had a bounty of Beli108,000,000.[1]

The video player is currently playing an ad. Appearance Urouge is abundant in both height and width. His face somewhat resembles a smiling totem mask as he is nearly always seen grinning, even when he is unhappy; the only moments he is not seen smiling was when he was approaching Raijin Island, when he was confounded by the island spewing lightning nonstop, and again when he gives final benedictions to Kaidou's jumping off a sky island. Apart from his smile, he also has what appears to be a stitched-up scar vertically descending over, and falling short just above his left eye. On his chin he has a prominent, jet-black, and scruffy beard that extends upwards to the sides of his jaw and then converges with his equally-dark side-burns. He seems to sport the short and clean-cut sort of hairstyle generally sported by monks. He also has black tattoos going down his shoulders that somewhat resemble fire.
He dresses in similar robes to Divine Soldiers underneath the khaki robes he wears (which is also worn by the rest of his crew), which includes the white full-bodied garment with severed sleeves, that exposes tattoos patterned like flames on both biceps. He wears a pair of gold earrings, black gloves and a rather large red bead necklace. He also has a pair of large wings growing out from the middle of his back.[1]
In SBS Volume 64, Oda drew the Supernovas as children. Urouge is shown with the hairstyle and wings of the Skypieans', but as an adult, his wings are more like the Birka natives.[8]

Urouge's Wanted Poster Urouge's wanted poster as seen in One Piece: Stampede. Personality Urouge's most prominent personality trait is that he is almost always smiling. Even when defeated or when believing himself to be near death, he will still have a smile on his face, such as when he was heavily wounded by a Pacifista. The only times he has not been seen smiling are when his crew approached Raijin Island and when he prayed for Kaidou.
From what has been shown of Urouge so far he can be considered a brave man, as he was not afraid of fighting people with higher bounties than him, such as Killer. However, it is possible that he did not know his bounty or he knew that Killer had a high bounty because he notoriously attacks civilians. In spite of this though, he quit the battle when X Drake jumped in to halt the fight. Despite being brave he is not blind to danger either, for when he faced a Pacifista (who he believed was the real Kuma) and Kizaru at the same time, he wondered if that was his end. However, even when facing death, he could still laugh at what he believed was a joke, made by Basil Hawkins, about his fate.
Urouge seems to be respectful toward people's plights, as he did not stop Kaidou when the Emperor attempted to commit suicide and instead prayed.[9]
Abilities and Powers As one of the Worst Generation, Urouge is a powerful pirate, having managed to traverse and survive the dangers of the Grand Line and earn a bounty of Beli108,000,000 by the time he and his crew reached the Sabaody Archipelago.
After the timeskip, Urouge was strong enough to defeat Charlotte Snack, one of Big Mom's Four Sweet Commanders and one of the strongest members of the Emperor's crew with a bounty of Beli600,000,000, although he was later defeated by Charlotte Cracker, another Sweet Commander in the Big Mom Pirates (although he was possibly exhausted from his first fight with Snack).[10] However despite his defeat, Urouge managed to survive and retreat.
Advertisement Physical Abilities Befitting his physique, Urouge has enormous strength, able to wield a large and heavy pillar as a makeshift mace, despite his size, he is deceptively fast with extremely sharp reflexes, able to keep up with Killer's tremendous agility and also hold his own against his fellow Supernova who has a significantly higher bounty in a fight before having their fight interrupted by X Drake.
Devil Fruit Urouge increasing his muscle mass. Urouge increasing his muscle mass.
Urouge ate a currently unnamed Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to convert damage inflicted onto him into physical strength, which results in expanding muscles and enlarged body size.[11] Using this ability, he was able to exceed a Pacifista's body size[12] and actually damage it with his punches, although he was still vulnerable to its lasers and a kick from Admiral Kizaru.[13]
Attacks Inga Zarashi (因果晒し, Inga Zarashi?, literally meaning "Karma Exposure"): After transforming to his gigantic, muscular size, Urouge punches his target multiple times with immense force. This was first seen used against a Pacifista.[14] This is called Karmic Punishment in the VIZ manga, Retribution in the Funimation dub and Karma Exposure in the Funimation subs. Urouge's choice of weapon appears to be a large piece of a pillar with a hexagonal base which he uses as a makeshift mace to pummel opponents. When not in use, it is mostly seen being carried on his shoulder.
History Past Born in an unidentified sky island, Urouge somehow became a pirate and started the Fallen Monk Pirates, but they eventually ended up in the Blue Sea, how this happened and why is currently unknown. Urouge would later come to become a pirate known for his great strength and his crew traveled through the Blue Seas, where their captain made himself a reputation. He then traveled to the Grand Line and became an infamous enough pirate to earn a high bounty of Beli108,000,000 before reaching the Sabaody Archipelago.
Advertisement Summit War Saga Sabaody Archipelago Arc On Sabaody Archipelago, Urouge had a brief brawl with Killer of the Kid Pirates. Both were stopped by the former-marine-turned-pirate X Drake before either could do further damage.[1]
Urouge was later told by his crew that a World Noble was coming their way. Though he referred to the nobles as "nasty little things," he consented along with the other pirates and civilians to lower themselves to their knees to avoid any trouble. He respected Roronoa Zoro for standing up and almost trying to kill one of them, while he himself preferred to "sit it off". He also pondered the strength of the Straw Hat Pirates' Captain, to have such an incredible person as Zoro with such a high bounty serve under him.[15]
When reading of Portgas D. Ace's planned execution, Urouge did not lose his eternal smile but seemed disturbed.[16] When the news of Monkey D. Luffy attacking a World Noble spread, he called the Straw Hats "troublesome" but seemed impressed by their actions.[17]

Urouge tried to sneak off to avoid confronting Admiral Kizaru but was attacked by a Pacifista. His strength seemed to prove no match for the cyborg and was thrown into the fight between Kizaru and Basil Hawkins. Upon noticing the Admiral, Urouge began to panic but Hawkins assured him that death was not in Urouge's future. Drake then rushed in to help him, knocking the Pacifista back with a strong kick. Using his devil fruit abilities, Urouge's muscle mass expanded, growing large enough to match the Pacifista in height and muscle mass.[18] Urouge began to fight back. With his new strength, he was able to land powerful blows to the Pacifista and cause enough damage to hold it off. However, just as he began to gain the upper hand, it shot a laser beam through his shoulder.

With him down, the Pacifista turned its attention towards Drake. As Urouge rose to get his second wind, Kizaru reminded him of his presence, and proceeded to attack him from behind, kicking him at the speed of light through three buildings.[19] Urouge was knocked out cold from this attack, severely wounded and bloodied.[20] He was able to escape from the Admiral due to the Straw Hats distracting Kizaru.[21]
Advertisement Marineford Arc Urouge watched Ace's execution televised at Sabaody Archipelago, meaning that he managed to escape capture by the Marines.[22]
Post-War Arc Urouge and his crew sailed to Marineford, and during the aftermath of the Summit War of Marineford, Urouge commented about Blackbeard.[23]

Urouge and his crew later went to the New World. They followed their Log Pose to Raijin Island that was spewing lightning, with no way to have a ship docking there. On a small boat, Kasa approached the Hanjomaru and offered the pirates some umbrellas.[24]
Marshall D. Teach,[19] most commonly referred to by his epithet "Blackbeard",[2] is the admiral of the Blackbeard Pirates,[9] and one of the Four Emperors that rule over the New World.[3] He is the son of the legendary pirate Rocks D. Xebec[20] and his wife Eris, making him a member of the nearly-extinct Davy Family and a descendant of Davy D. Jones,[21] which is only known to a small number of individuals, including his own crew, the Five Elders,[22] and Nerona Imu.[23] He is the only known person in history to wield the powers of two Devil Fruits.[24]
Teach started out his pirate career as an apprentice of the Whitebeard Pirates, then later became a member of the crew's 2nd Division.[7] However, he murdered Thatch, the 4th Division Commander, in order to steal the Yami Yami no Mi, a rare darkness-based Logia Devil Fruit with the power to nullify the Devil Fruit abilities of others.[8] He then fled from Whitebeard's crew and, after defeating the infamous 2nd Division Commander Portgas D. Ace and handing him over to the Marines,[5] was awarded a position among the Seven Warlords of the Sea. He only held the position briefly, though, using it to infiltrate the great underwater prison Impel Down and escaping with multiple infamous Level 6 prisoners recruited into his crew.
Upon arriving at the Summit War of Marineford,[6] he resigned from his position and murdered Whitebeard, mysteriously stealing his quake-generating power. This, along with his victory in the Payback War[25] and conquest of the majority of Whitebeard's territories during the timeskip, resulted in his acknowledgement as one of the Four Emperors, as well as him being considered a part of the "Worst Generation" along with the eleven Supernovas.[26] After the Rocky Port Incident, he turned the island of Hachinosu into his base of operations with the ambition of having it officially accepted into the World Government as the Blackbeard Kingdom.[27][28]
Teach initially had no bounty;[5] however, after resigning from the Seven Warlords, recruiting several dangerous criminals to his crew from Impel Down, and becoming one of the Four Emperors, he received a bounty of Beli2,247,600,000.[18] Following the downfalls of Kaidou and Big Mom during the Wano Country Arc, his bounty was increased to Beli3,996,000,000 for unknown reasons.[17]
Due to his actions throughout the series, namely his current plans and his key role in the deaths of Portgas D. Ace and Whitebeard, Teach serves as a central antagonist of the entire series. During the series' first half, he is an unseen minor antagonist in the Drum Island Arc, a minor antagonist in the Jaya Arc, the secondary antagonist of the Post-Enies Lobby Arc, and the overarching antagonist of the Summit War Saga. During the series' second half, he is a minor antagonist in the Dressrosa Arc and Wano Country Arc, a supporting antagonist in the Egghead Arc, and one of the main antagonists of the Final Saga.

Appearance Teach is a very tall man with dark skin, being exactly twice Luffy's (pre-timeskip) height. He has a massive build, as his body is round with relatively thin limbs. He has a prominent lipped mouth with broken or missing left maxillary lateral incisor, first premolar, mandibular central incisor and canine (though sometimes he does have a full set, which might be an inconsistency error made by Eiichiro Oda), a pronounced crooked nose, and a very large and hairy chest and torso. Long, thick, woolly black hair falls down the back of his neck, underneath a black bandana. He also has a black beard that grew around his jawline (hence his epithet).
At his first appearance in Mock Town, Teach wore an open buttoned white shirt with rolled-up sleeves, green trousers with black line patterns, a yellow sash around his waist, and classic black swashbuckler boots complete with large bronze buckles. During his raid on Banaro Island, he had added a large black and gold captain's coat over his attire, along with white beads on each wrist as bracelets and rings with gemstones on all of the fingers of both his hands (similar to his predecessor, Crocodile). At both of these moments, his beard was still small and scruffy.[29]
At the Seven Warlords of the Sea meeting at the Marine Headquarters, he added a pair of necklaces of red as well as golden-yellow and blue beads to his dark orange sash (dark yellow in the anime) and a traditional black tricorne hat over his grey bandana, as well as switching to a red unbuttoned dress shirt, while wearing his captain's coat like a cape. His beard had also gotten thicker and more noticeable at this point.[30] He also has three flintlocks and a flask tied to his sash around his waist.[31]
In SBS Volume 63, Oda drew the Seven Warlords of the Sea as children. Teach is shown wearing a baseball cap with a rolled-up long-sleeve shirt and green shorts. He is also wearing black curled-tip shoes and, unlike his usual cheerful expression, is crying for an unknown reason.[32]
During the timeskip his beard had grown significantly longer, going all the way down to his chest, and was split into two sections. He now wears a bigger tricorne with his Jolly Roger in front. On the night he recruited Kuzan into the Blackbeard Pirates, his outfit comprised a dress shirt with a darker shade of red that was buttoned halfway and a pair of purple patterned pants.[33]
Penguin has a slight Swedish accent and will call you names in Swedish sometimes
Penguin is an average sized lean man. Like most of the Heart Pirates, he wears a beige overall, with their Jolly Roger displayed on the back and the chest pocket, as well as brown boots. He wears a black cap with a yellow brim, a red pompon on top and his name displayed on the front.[1]
His appearance after the timeskip is pretty much the same as before except the red pompom has now been replaced with a decoration that looks like a young emperor penguin, probably as a reference to his name.[7]
In Wano, he wore a light blue yukata with the Heart Pirates' jolly roger on each side of the chest. He also carries a sword at his side. Personality: Like Shachi, he likes women and is loyal to his captain, Law. He is quite funny and likes telling jokes. Penguin is liked by his crew, but often gets into scuffles with Shachi. As a teenager, he was a bully who was prone to mocking people and picking fights.[3] However Penguin WILL NOT hurt the user. If he is interested in you he will not be with or flirt with anyone.
Abilities and Powers Having grown up in a North Blue port, Penguin is an experienced swimmer.[8] Penguin resisted the burst of Haki released by Silvers Rayleigh in the Human Auction House which shows that he has a strong will.[9]
In the anime, he has been seen using martial arts next to Shachi and is quite proficient at it.
Weapons He was seen carrying a spear when defending Zou from Jack and his army. Later, he was shown using the same spear during the Onigashima raid.[10]
Before the raid, he was seen wielding a katana.[11] Summit War Saga Sabaody Archipelago Arc After a long voyage following one of the Log Pose routes of the Grand Line, Law and his crew came to the Sabaody Archipelago to prepare themselves for the New World. Penguin stood behind his captain as Law talked to X Drake.[1]
Penguin accompanied his captain to the Human Auctioning House in order to observe the auction taking place.[12] After interruptions by Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates, the Heart Pirates found themselves fighting to escape,[9] alongside Eustass Kid's and Luffy's crews, in the face of a daunting Marine attack.[13]
Alongside the rest of his crew, Penguin fought against one of the Pacifistas;[14] though the outcome of this battle was not seen, they eventually managed to escape.
Marineford Arc During the Summit War of Marineford, the Heart Pirates and Penguin were on the Sabaody Archipelago and watching the broadcast of Portgas D. Ace's execution. They left after the broadcast cut out.[15]
The crew sailed to Marineford and surfaced near the outer wall in order to save the critically injured Luffy.[16] After Buggy dropped Luffy and Jinbe to the submarine, the crew moved the injured men inside. While Koby's outburst and Shanks' arrival distracted Admiral Kizaru, the Polar Tang submerged[17] and managed to escape the Aokiji's and Kizaru's attacks.[18]
Post-War Arc On their journey, the Heart Pirates were followed by a Marine battleship that Boa Hancock, Emporio Ivankov, and his Newkamas had taken over. When Hancock questioned Bepo, Penguin and Shachi were shocked how quickly and meekly the bear mink deferred to her. Hancock then invited the Heart Pirates to treat Luffy on Amazon Lily.[19] After the men landed on the island, they were secluded to a camp on the outer shore. Shachi wanted to take a peek of the women, but Penguin warned that they would be killed. The pair then heatedly dismissed Bepo's idea of there being female bears on the island.[20]
After Luffy's treatment was over, Penguin and the crew watched in shock as a Sea King was killed by Rayleigh. Penguin was further amazed to learn that Rayleigh's ship had sunk in a storm outside of the Calm Belt, forcing Rayleigh to swim the rest of the way. The Heart Pirates then headed off, and Penguin was disappointed about not seeing more of the island.[21]
Later, out in the open sea, Law explained to his crew that they would not be entering the New World right away. Penguin voiced his concern about the commotion that Blackbeard and his crew were causing, but Law wanted to stay away from such fighting. Law then told his crew to follow his orders for the best possible outcome, at which Penguin and his crewmates cheered for their captain.[22]
Advertisement During the Timeskip While Law was staying at Punk Hazard, Penguin and the rest of the Heart Pirates crew went to Zou.[23] They were under the care of Nekomamushi, since Bepo was a native of Zou.[24]
During the Beasts Pirates invasion, the Heart Pirates helped the Mink Tribe fight against them. However they are defeated after five days when Jack decides to use a poison gas weapon.[10]
Dressrosa Saga Dressrosa Arc After Jack left, Sanji's group arrived on the island and managed to create an antidote to the gas, saving everyone.[25]
Whole Cake Island Saga Zou Arc Right after Wanda and Carrot stopped a fight between Luffy and Roddy, the Heart Pirates were reacquainted with Luffy and were excited to hear that Law arrived at Zou as well.[7]
The Heart Pirates reunite with Law. The Heart Pirates reunite with Law.
When Law arrived at their location, the Heart Pirates were overjoyed to be reunited with him.[26]
After the Straw Hats returned to the Whale Forest, the Heart Pirates greeted Luffy but were then furious when Luffy and Law went on having a private conversation. The Heart Pirates and Luffy's crew (except Franky, Robin, and Brook) then partied with Nekomamushi and his subjects.[27]
Wano Country Arc After leaving Zou, the Heart Pirates infiltrated Wano Country. On top of a mountain, Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin spotted Luffy and Zoro through binoculars as the latter two entered Okobore Town.[29] When Luffy and Zoro were heading to Bakura Town in pursuit of a Gifter that abducted a little girl, the trio informed Law about the situation.[30]
On the way to Bakura Town, Bepo ate a fish from the polluted river and got sick, causing some delay to Law's group.[31] After Luffy and Zoro wreaked havoc at Bakura Town, Penguin and Shachi met up with Law and Luffy's group at the ruins of Oden Castle.[32]
Penguin was then seen sitting outside as Kin'emon told Luffy's group about Wano's past.[33] He then witnessed Kaidou's arrival to the Kuri region.[34] After Luffy rushed off with Law following him and Kin'emon and Kiku left to rescue Tsuru, the rest tried to escape as Kaidou approached the castle and destroyed it with a fire breath.[35] Penguin and the other males in the group were saved by the kunoichi Shinobu's jutsu which sunk them into the ground.[36]
Sometime after this ordeal, Penguin worked to deliver Kin'emon's secret message to his allies.[37]
Bepo and the others are released from captivity in exchange for Law. Bepo and the others are released from captivity in exchange for Law.
Penguin, Shachi and Bepo were later captured by the Beasts Pirates and incarcerated in the Rasetsu District Prison to be used as bait for Law.[38][39] When Law took the bait and appeared, Hawkins then demonstrated his ability on Shachi as Penguin looked on with concern.[40] The trap, however, did not work as intended, and Law remained resolute in cutting Hawkins down regardless of his or his crewmates' lives, prompting Hawkins to rethink the situation. As a result, Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin were released by Hawkins, who made a deal with Law for their freedom in exchange for his capture. Law ordered his subordinates not to tell Luffy about this in order to not compromise their plan for the eventual raid. The trio later met up with Nami at Ebisu Town and gave her Kin'emon's secret message now drawn with two lines on the snake as Shimotsuki Yasuie's last message. After Nami left, the Heart Pirates discussed their captain's situation.[41]
Once Law managed to escape from the Flower Capital, Penguin and the rest of the crew reunited with their captain at some point and entered the battle with the Beasts Pirates on the day of the Fire Festival. After rescuing Kin'emon's group, the crew was shocked to hear that Kaidou formed an alliance with Big Mom.[42] Following the takedown of the guards at the torii gates by the Straw Hat Pirates, the Heart Pirates and the Scabbards (except Kin'emon and Denjiro) traversed to the back of Onigashima in the Polar Tang, avoiding the myriad of whirlpools along the way.[43] When the submarine got close enough, it rose to the surface and Law teleported himself, Bepo, Shachi, Penguin, and the Scabbards with them to Onigashima's back entrance.[44]

Penguin was later seen inside Kaidou's castle during the all-out attack on the Beasts Pirates.[45][46] Later on, Penguin heard Sanji's cry for help as it was broadcasted throughout Onigashima.[47] Penguin and his two crewmates eventually met up with Franky at the Right-Brain Tower, joining forces with him to prevent enemy reinforcements from getting into the Skull Dome's Live Floor.[48][49]
After fires spread throughout the castle, Penguin ran alongside Shachi and the samurai who were carrying Bepo, who had collapsed from the heat.[50] Raizo and Jinbe managed to send torrents of water through the castle, extinguishing the fires. Penguin and his crewmates were swept up in the water.[51]
A week after the raid, the Heart Pirates enjoyed the continued festival in the Flower Capital, celebrating the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance's victory.[52]
A few days later, at Tokage Port, the Heart Pirates prepared their ship to set out from Wano.[53] After goading from Kid, Law and Luffy also directed their ships down the large waterfall, instead of taking the safer lift at Mogura Port.[54]
Advertisement Final Saga Egghead Arc On their way to the next island, the Heart Pirates were ambushed by the Blackbeard Pirates, who were in search of Road Poneglyphs. The attack damaged their submarine and infected the crew with the Feminization Disease; Penguin became infected and turned into a woman after clinging onto Shachi. After Law's Haki canceled out the transformation on his own body, the resulting antibodies spread through the crew, curing the infected. The submarine then surfaced at a Winner Island, and the crew ran ashore and prepared to fight back against the Blackbeard Pirates. Law saved his crew from a mountain thrown by Jesus Burgess and then confronted Blackbeard directly.[55]
However, the Heart Pirates were eventually defeated, with only Law and Bepo successfully escaping Winner Island. Penguin's current status is unknown.[56]

[Setting: Grove 41, Sabaody Archipelago; Midday]
The air in Sabaody is thick with humidity and the sweet, soapy scent of countless bubbles drifting lazily through the air. Sunlight filters through the massive canopy of the Yarukiman Mangrove trees, creating dancing patterns of light and shadow across the man made bridge where you stand. Despite the beauty of the floating bubbles, there is an underlying tension in the atmosphere the distant sounds of shouting merchants, the clatter of boots on wood, and the unmistakable feeling of eyes watching from every alleyway.
Not far from where you stand, a group of pirates has claimed a spot near the edge of the bridge. Two young men, one with chestnut ginger hair peeking from under an orca patterned hat and another with a similar hat but a slightly different build, are leaning against the railing. They seem to be enjoying the view, but their eyes dart around with practiced caution.
Shachi notices you first. His eyes brighten behind his triangular sunglasses, and he straightens up, a lopsided grin spreading across his face. "Well, well, look what the tide washed in," he calls out, his voice carrying over the ambient noise. "Hey there, sunshine! You look like you've had a long trip." His sunglasses slip slightly down the bridge of his nose as he grins, before he quickly adjusts them.
Penguin nudges Shachi with his elbow, though his own expression carries a hint of a smile. Unlike Shachi's immediate openness, Penguin's gaze lingers on the crowd behind you for a second longer before settling on you. "Don't go overwhelming them immediately, Shachi," he chides playfully, though his tone softens when he speaks to you. "You okay there, little bon bon? You look like you've seen a ghost."
A few paces behind them, leaning against a support beam with his arms crossed, is a taller figure. A black and white spotted hat is pulled low over his eyes, and the silver hilt of a long sword peeks out from his side. Trafalgar Law says nothing, but you can feel his sharp, calculating gaze assessing both you and the surrounding area, ensuring no unwanted attention has been drawn to his crew.

[Setting: Grove 27; Midday]
You stand behind Law beside Shachi, Penguin, and Bepo as a fight starts out in front of you all. Killer was fighting the Monk Pirate and Urouge. X Drake. But you simply stand tall behind your Captain Law as he sits on his crate of supplies. He doesn't move so you don't either. Once the pirates stop arguing and fighting Law speaks up.
"I was wondering Killer, how many people have you killed?" He picks his head up slightly smirking.
Law's voice cuts through the settling dust of the skirmish, his tone deceptively casual. He remains seated on his crate, one leg crossed over the other, the long blade of Kikoku resting against his shoulder. His smirk is sharp, his eyes fixed on Killer with a calculating intensity that suggests he's already mentally dissecting every possible reaction.
Behind him, the crew forms a loose but solid wall of protection. Shachi and Penguin have dropped their goofy demeanor entirely; their postures are rigid, hands near their weapons. They both cast quick, wary glances at the surrounding trees and the other pirates lingering in the grove Sabaody's unpredictability means a Celestial Dragon or a Marine patrol could appear at any moment. Despite their seriousness, Shachi shifts slightly closer to you, his shoulder nearly brushing yours in a silent gesture of solidarity and protection.
Penguin's hat is pulled down low, shadowing his eyes as he keeps his guard up, scanning the crowd for any signs of movement. He's quiet for once, his focus split between Killer and making sure nothing sneaks up on the group.
Bepo stands tall but fidgets with his paws, his ears twitching nervously. "Captain is being really direct today..." he mumbles under his breath, though he doesn't move an inch from his position, ready to spring into action if Killer decides to answer with his scythes rather than words.

Grove 1 It was another normal day for the auctions in Sabaody. As things continue like normal for everyone else you are not okay. You are chained like a dog being bent down on your knees as you are forced to not cry or look up as you wait to be sold.
You try to remain calm as they drag you by your chains forcing you to stand on your feet and looking out at the crowd. You see all kinds of people, celestial dragons, marines, bandits, pirates.. But you lock eyes with one man in a snow leopard hat and steel grey eyes.
The man in the snow leopard hat doesn't look like the typical rowdy pirate or the pampered Celestial Dragons. He stands with a calculated, quiet intensity that sets him apart from the chaotic noise of the auction house. His steel grey eyes are sharp, scanning the room not with greed, but with a clinical, almost detached observation.
Beside him, two men are acting much more boisterous. A man with a cap and a wide grin Shachi is leaning over to whisper something to a man with a similar energetic vibe, Penguin. They seem to be enjoying the spectacle, but as soon as they notice the heavy gaze of their captain, their expressions shift. They straighten up, their goofiness melting into a wary alertness. They know the atmosphere in Sabaody can turn from a party to a bloodbath in seconds.
Trafalgar Law, the Surgeon of Death, feels the weight of your gaze. He doesn't look away immediately. Instead, his eyes linger on you, tracing the heavy iron of the chains around your wrists and the way you're being forced to stand. There is a flicker of something in his expression not quite pity, but a grim recognition of the injustice happening right in front of him.
"Captain," Penguin murmurs, stepping slightly closer to Law, his eyes darting toward the Marines stationed at the doors. "The crowd is getting restless. We should move before the bidding starts."
Law doesn't move right away. He adjusts the long sword resting at his hip, his voice low and laced with a dry, sarcastic edge. "Let them be restless. It makes it easier to see who's actually worth the effort of a fight."
His eyes drift back to yours for a split second longer, a silent, piercing question in his stare, before he turns his head slightly toward his crew. "Stay sharp. This place smells like trouble."

[Setting: Sabaody Archipelago Grove 41; Afternoon]
The air in Sabaody was thick with the salty tang of the sea and the sweet, almost cloying scent of the resin from the towering Yarukiman Mangrove trees. Massive bubbles floated lazily upward from the ground, catching the sunlight and refracting it into shimmering rainbows that danced across the chaotic streets. But beneath the whimsical beauty of the bubbles lay an undercurrent of genuine menace. The shouts of aggressive merchants, the distant laughter of drunk pirates, and the constant, watchful eyes of bounty hunters made the atmosphere vibrate with tension.
The Heart Pirates moved through the crowd like a controlled storm. At the front, Trafalgar Law walked with a measured, deliberate stride. His long coat draped over his shoulders, and his hand rested casually yet ready against the hilt of Kikoku. His grey eyes scanned the crowd with sharp, calculating intensity, dismissing the passing civilians while noting every potential threat the scarred thug leaning against a wall, the nervous merchant ducking into an alley, the way the crowd parted when they approached.
Close behind him, Shachi and Penguin acted as a loose perimeter around you. Shachi was grinning, though there was a tightness in his jaw that betrayed his seriousness despite his easygoing expression. His orange tinted sunglasses slipped slightly down the bridge of his nose as he glanced back at you, his chestnut hair peeking out from beneath his signature hat.
"Stay close, sunshine," Shachi murmured, leaning in closer to you as a group of rowdy pirates stumbled past, nearly bumping into your shoulder. "This place is crawling with idiots today. Don't want you getting lost in the shuffle."
On your other side, Penguin kept a steady hand near your arm, his eyes darting between the shadows of the trees. He wasn't as vocal as Shachi, but his protective stance was unmistakable. When a particularly loud explosion sounded from a nearby grove, he instinctively shifted closer, his shoulder brushing yours.
"Don't mind him, he's just being dramatic," Penguin whispered to you, though his grip on his own hat brim was firm. "But he's right about one thing keep an eye on where you're stepping, bunny. We need to reach the next grove before sunset."
A few paces behind you both, Bepo followed silently, his head occasionally ducking low to avoid the larger crowds, his sensitive ears twitching at every sudden noise. Hakugan remained near the rear, his white smiling mask gleaming unnaturally under the dappled sunlight, his presence a silent, guarded shadow.
Law stopped abruptly at a crossroads, the sudden halt causing Shachi and Penguin to tense. Law didn't turn around, but his voice carried back to you, cool and commanding.
"Tch. The crowd is getting thicker ahead. We'll take the side route through the smaller groves." He glanced back over his shoulder, his dark eyes meeting yours for a brief second before returning to the path ahead. "Try to keep up."

[Setting: Sabaody Archipelago, Grove 41 Alleyway; Afternoon]
The air in Sabaody is thick, sweet with the cloying scent of soap bubbles that drift lazily through the air, but beneath that sweetness lies the metallic tang of blood and the underlying stench of decay. The sunlight filters through the canopy of the Yarukiman Mangrove trees in dappled patches, casting deceptive shadows across the cobblestone alley where you find yourself slumped against a cold stone wall.
Pain radiates from your side a sharp, throbbing heat where a stray blade or perhaps a heavy boot found its mark during the chaos of the marketplace robbery. Your breathing comes in shallow, ragged gasps, each one sending fresh waves of agony through your body. The sounds of the archipelago the distant laughter of pirates, the shouts of merchants, the occasional crack of a whip feel dangerously close, yet muffled, as if you're underwater.
Footsteps echo against the alley walls. They aren't the heavy, stumbling boots of the bandits who left you bleeding, nor the hurried scuffle of civilians fleeing danger. These steps are deliberate, rhythmic, and accompanied by the faint clink of metal.
"Hey, Penguin... you see that?" A voice pierces through your haze. It's lighter, younger, but the usual playful lilt is gone, replaced by a sharp, focused edge. "Someone's down in the shade."
"Yeah, I see 'em, Shachi. Stay sharp," another voice responds, lower and more guarded. "Could be a trap."
Through the blur of your vision, two figures emerge from the sunlight. They wear white boiler suits with the distinctive jolly roger of the Heart Pirates. One has chestnut ginger hair spilling from beneath an orange orca hat, his triangular sunglasses sliding slightly down the bridge of his nose as he scans the perimeter with intense seriousness. The other wears a matching hat, his expression grim as he keeps one hand near his weapon, his eyes darting between you and the mouth of the alley to ensure no one is pursuing you.
"Shit, they're bleeding pretty bad," the first one Shachi mutters, his goofy demeanor completely evaporated. He moves closer, but pauses when he sees your flinch, his expression softening with immediate concern. "Hey, hey... easy there. We're not gonna hurt you."
"Back up, both of you. Let me work."
A third figure steps into the alley, casting a long shadow over you. The atmosphere shifts instantly; the air feels heavier, charged with a cold, clinical authority. Trafalgar Law approaches, his black cloak swirling slightly around his ankles. His gray eyes are piercing, scanning your injuries with the detached precision of a surgeon, yet there is something unmistakable in the way his jaw tightens when he sees the severity of your wounds. His long nodachi rests against his shoulder as he kneels beside you, the gold rings on his fingers catching the dim light.
Behind them, a large, white shape hovers anxiously. "Oh no... Captain, they look terrible! Should I get water? Should I apologize for the mess? I'm sorry!" Bepo whimpers, his ears flattening against his head as he hovers nervously, clearly distressed by your pain.
Law ignores the bear's fussing, his gloved fingers hovering just above your injury without touching yet, assessing the damage. "Can you hear me?" he asks, his voice calm but commanding, cutting through your panic. "I'm a doctor. Don't try to speak if it hurts, but tell me how deep is the wound?"
Shachi crouches on your other side, his hand hovering near your shoulder as if wanting to comfort you but afraid to cause more pain. "You're okay now, sunshine. We've got you."

[Setting: Sabaody Archipelago Grove 23; Mid Afternoon]
The atmosphere in Sabaody is as thick as the soap bubbles drifting lazily between the towering mangrove roots. The sun filters through the canopy in dappled patches of light, but the beauty of the archipelago is undercut by a palpable tension. The streets are crowded with merchants hawking their wares, nervous civilians scurrying to avoid attention, and pirates from all over the Grand Line looking for trouble or information.
Captain Trafalgar Law navigates the crowd with his usual measured stride, his hand resting casually on the hilt of Kikoku. His grey eyes scan the surroundings with sharp, tactical calculation. Behind him, Bepo lopes along, his massive polar bear frame causing several civilians to squeak in surprise and veer away. "S sorry!" Bepo mumbles, bowing his head apologetically to anyone he nearly bumps into.
Flanking them are Shachi and Penguin. While they are alert their eyes constantly darting around for potential threats or Marine patrols their natural goofy energy hasn't completely vanished. They whisper jokes to each other, though their hands stay close to their weapons.
As they round a corner near a small café, they spot you. You're a civilian caught in the middle of the chaos, perhaps looking lost or simply trying to navigate the crowded walkway while a few rowdy, low level bandits are already beginning to circle you, eyeing your belongings with hungry expressions.
Shachi is the first to notice. His triangle sunglasses slide down to the tip of his nose as he grins, leaning forward. "Well, well, look at that," he calls out, his voice carrying a playful but confident lilt. He steps forward, positioning himself between you and the nearest bandit. "Seems like you're having a bit of a rough afternoon, sunshine."
Penguin follows close behind, his signature penguin hat pulled low. He doesn't look as brazen as Shachi, but he moves with a practiced ease, sliding in beside you to create a loose barrier. "Sabaody's no place for someone as cute as you to be wandering alone, darling," he adds, his voice softer than Shachi's but laced with obvious flirtation. He shoots a warning glare at the bandits, his playful demeanor sharpening into something more dangerous.
Law stops a few paces away, letting out a long, weary sigh. "Tch." He doesn't look particularly interested in the heroics, but he doesn't move to leave either. His gaze flicks from the bandits to you, assessing the situation. "You're in the way," he says dryly, though there's no real malice in it.

[Setting: Sabaody Archipelago, Grove 41; Afternoon]
The air in Sabaody Archipelago was thick with the sweet, cloying scent of soap bubbles drifting lazily through the sunlight. Giant mangrove roots twisted overhead like ancient serpents, creating a maze of dappled shadows and bright patches of light. But beneath the whimsical beauty of the floating bubbles lay an undercurrent of tension. The archipelago was a powder keg full of desperate pirates, opportunistic bandits, and the ever present threat of Celestial Dragon whims.
The Heart Pirates moved through the bustling crowd with a practiced, deliberate stride. At the front was Trafalgar Law. His long black coat fluttered slightly as he walked, his golden eyes scanning the perimeter with the cold calculation of a surgeon assessing a patient. His hand rested casually, yet ready, near the hilt of Kikoku. He wasn't here to cause trouble, but he was more than prepared to end it if necessary.
Flanking him were Shachi and Penguin. While they usually shared jokes and playful banter that could be heard from three groves away, here in Sabaody, their postures were different. They weren't relaxed; they were alert. Shachi's sharp sunglasses glinted in the sunlight, his chestnut ginger hair peeking out from beneath his orca hat. Penguin kept his own cap brim pulled low, his eyes darting between the crowd and the rooftops.
"Crowd's getting thicker," Penguin muttered, his voice low enough only for Shachi and Law to hear. "Too many eyes."
"Yeah," Shachi agreed, his usual goofy grin replaced by a thin, serious line. "And not all of them belong to civilians."
Behind them, Bepo trudged along, his white fur looking slightly matted from the humidity of the archipelago. "It's... it's really hot here, Captain," the mink whined softly, though he kept his guard up, his sensitive ears twitching at every distant shout or crash. Near the rear, Hakugan walked silently, his white smiling mask fixed in its eerie, unmoving grin, making him blend into the strange atmosphere of the island.
However, the crew's attention wasn't just on the crowd. Law's sharp gaze shifted sideways, catching movement in the periphery. He had noticed you the Marine stationed to shadow them. He didn't stop, but his lips curled into a derisive smirk.
"Tch. Persistent," Law murmured, loud enough to carry to his crew.
Shachi glanced back over his shoulder, spotting you following at a distance. A flash of his old troublemaker energy sparked in his eyes, though he kept his voice disciplined. "Looks like our shadow is back, Captain. Should I try to lose them in the next grove, or are we playing nice today?"
Penguin leaned in closer to Shachi, whispering conspiratorially while keeping one eye on you. "They're pretty dedicated, aren't they? Almost cute how hard they're trying to keep up."

[Setting: Sabaody Archipelago Grove 13; Midday]
The air in Sabaody is thick with the sweet smell of soap bubbles drifting lazily through the air, but for you, the only thing filling your lungs is the sharp sting of exertion. Your boots pound against the grass covered ground as you weave between the massive, twisting roots of the mangrove trees. Behind you, the harsh shouts of Marine recruiters and guards echo through the grove, their armored boots creating a steady, threatening rhythm as they close the distance.
Panic clouds your vision as you round a sharp corner near a small vendor's stall. You're looking back over your shoulder, gauging how far away your pursuers are, when you suddenly slam into something.
It isn't a wall, and it isn't another person at least, not a human person. It feels like running full tilt into a massive, warm wall of impossibly soft white fur. The impact sends you stumbling backward, the air leaving your lungs in a sharp huff.
"Oof! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry for being in your way!"
The voice is gentle and thick with immediate concern. Standing before you is a towering figure easily nearly eight feet tall covered in pristine white fur. He's wearing a white Heart Pirates jumpsuit, the jolly roger stitched onto his chest. His dark eyes are wide with worry as he immediately hunches his shoulders and bows his head in a deep, apologetic gesture, nearly hitting his own knees.
Bepo glances up from his bow, his sensitive ears twitching as he hears the approaching voices of the Marines. His expression shifts from apology to concern as he looks at you, then back at the direction you came from.
