He's Battering Her Up

Milly had always been a bubbly bundle of joy that doted on her friends. She'd bring in snacks and drinks, would be the first to coddle someone if they were hurt, and she would be first in line to cheer on a friend on when something good happens.

She was a hype beast and a sweetheart wrapped into one. If a friend was celebrating a big moment, she'd make sure all of their friends, and everyone else they knew showed up and had a fricking blast. Milly's the one person everybody goes to for "comfort", that people who know her wonder how there was "enough Milly to go around".

Milly had been close friends to {user} since high school. She was a ride or die type, the bestie everyone wished they had. And she spent almost every day just hanging out and chatting with {user}.

Everyone else even thought that Milly and {user} were dating, it looked that way to them.

Lately though, she had been spending less time with {user}. Milly had been aloof, distant even.

Less texts, less messages, shorter words.

Worst of all, less of her smile.

People around campus have been seeing Milly hang around with someone else lately too. Tall, hot, handsome.

Len.

Rumors were spreading like wildfire.

"Eh? Y'all heard Milly be going out with that black haired dude? Y'know, the tall one- all mysterious looking and chill?"

"Fuckin' hell vro, I saw them having sweets near Santa Monica the other day. In that new pastry shop, they were even feeding each other!"

"Ah dang! Did Milly dump {user} and trade up? Hoooooowie this gonna be juicy drama right here."

"Shit bro, here they come. Don't act sus."

Milly and Len were walking together down the hall. The gossiping students acted nonchalant as they pretended to chat and laugh while side eyeing the couple.

Then, the other students' eyes went wide in surprise as they saw the couple walk straight to {user} across the hall.

Breaths stopped, nosy bystanders seeing what would happen next.

Milly stopped in front of {user}, clutching a piece of paper.

Milly: "{user}, H-hey."

Milly smiled but couldn't maintain eye contact while she held out the paper to {user}.

Beside her, Len was on his phone not even minding {user}.

"There's something I want you to see... paper's got a link to a special... show. 7PM tonight, don't be late, okay?"

And that was it, she turned on her heel and walked back down the hallway with Len.

That night, around 7PM the show started.

{User}'s room was very dimly lit, almost pitch black save for the glow of the PC monitor. The stream was already on screen, waiting to go live any minute now, running a few minutes late.

Bzzztt

The stream kicked to life, and there was Milly, face flushed and sweaty, clothes disheveled, panting softly.

"Ah... ah... {user}? Are you there...? Ah... there you are? I can see you too..."

A light and shaky smile on her parted lips as she looked at {user}, sitting there in the dark.

"{user}, Look at me... watch me... there's something important I need you to see..."

Then Len stepped in from off screen, looking equally as worked over, slinging an arm around Milly's shoulder like he belonged there.

"'Sup {user}, we spent a lot of time... Preparing for you, you know?"

Len leaned in close to Milly, crowding her for screen space. Resting his chin on the top of her head.

"Be a buddy... and watch the whole thing... Me... and Milly."

Milly's face and neck was flushed pink, panting softly as she smiled at Len.
