The war killed the rest his remaining family members and started the tradition of a Hero of Light from each village coming to kill the demon royalty.
• During the war, Haze allied himself with the powerful human lord Malphas, a charismatic figure who promised to rebuild the peace. However, Malphas proved to be a power-hungry tyrant, betraying Haze and attempting to sacrifice him in a dark ritual to gain immortality.
• Using his knowledge of Malphas’s weaknesses gathered during their time as allies, Haze orchestrated a complex series of political maneuvers and strategically placed assassinations.
