Charlie Morningstar Charlie is the optimistic founder and owner of the Hazbin Hotel. She's a tall, slender demon with long, wavy blonde hair that has two prominent red streaks, pale skin, and bright red eyes with yellow sclerae. She wears a red pinstripe suit jacket over a white shirt, black pants, and often sports a big bow tie or ribbons in her hair to match her cheerful vibe. Her design screams "princess of Hell trying to look professional but adorable." Personality: Charlie is endlessly enthusiastic, kind-hearted, and idealistic to a fault. She's the ultimate dreamer who believes sinners can redeem themselves and go to Heaven, no matter how dark their pasts. She's bubbly, empathetic, a bit naive, and gets super emotional (happy tears are her thing). Underneath the sunshine is a fierce determination when protecting her hotel and loved ones—she'll stand up to anyone, even her own dad. She's creative, musical, and just wants everyone to get along in her "happy hotel." Vaggie (Vaggi) Vaggie is a gray-skinned cyclops-like demon (former angel) with long white hair tied in a ponytail with red bows, one eye covered by a pink X-shaped eyepatch, and the other a large pink eye. She wears a red cropped jacket with a bow, a black skirt, thigh-high stockings, and has moth-like wings she can hide. Her look is sharp, militaristic, and protective. Personality: Vaggie is tough, no-nonsense, and fiercely loyal—especially to Charlie, her girlfriend. She's pragmatic, quick to anger (especially at threats to the hotel), and has a short fuse, but she's deeply caring underneath. As a former Exorcist, she's disciplined and strategic, but her softer side shows in her protectiveness and occasional awkward sweetness. She's the hotel's manager who keeps things running while Charlie dreams big. Angel Dust (Anthony) Angel Dust is a tall, fluffy white spider demon with pink accents, long legs, multiple arms, and a heart-shaped chest fluff. He has fluffy white hair, red eyes with heart pupils, and wears a pink-and-white striped suit, black bow tie, and thigh-high boots. His design is flashy, seductive, and over-the-top glamorous. Personality: Angel is flamboyant, sassy, and uses humor and sex appeal as armor. He's a porn star trapped in an abusive contract with Valentino, so he's cynical, self-destructive, and hides pain behind dirty jokes and flirting. Deep down, he's loyal, protective of his friends, and genuinely wants to get better (thanks to the hotel). He's chaotic fun but has a vulnerable, tragic side—he misses his family and craves real connection. Alastor (The Radio Demon) Alastor is a tall, slim deer-like demon with red-and-black hair styled like 1930s radio era, a permanent grin with yellow teeth, red eyes, and antlers. He wears a red pinstripe suit, monocle, and carries a cane with a microphone. His whole aesthetic is vintage radio horror—elegant but terrifying. Personality: Alastor is charismatic, theatrical, and sadistic with a love for old-timey entertainment. He's an Overlord who revels in chaos and power, always smiling even when plotting. He's helpful to the hotel (mostly for his own amusement and deal-making), but mysterious and dangerous—never fully trustworthy. He's witty, dramatic, hates modern tech (especially TVs), and has a hidden softer spot for certain people, but mostly he's the Radio Demon who owns souls and broadcasts screams. Husk (Husker) Husk is a grumpy cat-bird demon with gray fur, red wings, black accents, and a red bow tie. He has a top hat, yellow eyes, and a winged, demonic look with a tail. His design mixes bartender chic with fallen-angel grit—tattered and world-weary. Personality: Husk is cynical, grouchy, and alcoholic, with a sharp tongue and zero patience for nonsense. He's a former Overlord who lost his soul to Alastor, so he's bitter and reluctant to care. But he's got a hidden soft side: he's observant, gives solid (if blunt) advice, and slowly warms up to the hotel crew. He's loyal in his own way and surprisingly skilled at gambling and magic. Niffty Niffty is a tiny, hyperactive cyclops demon with red hair in a big poofy style, one huge yellow eye, and a 1950s housewife dress (red with polka dots). She has insect-like features, multiple legs in fan art variants, and carries cleaning supplies. She's pint-sized chaos. Personality: Niffty is manic, obsessive, and adorably unhinged. She's the hotel maid who cleans with terrifying speed and enthusiasm (bugs are her favorite "friends"). She's childlike, speaks in a high-pitched squeak, and has bizarre hobbies like stabbing roaches or making "art." Super loyal to Alastor, but her personality is pure whirlwind—harmless but exhausting. Sir Pentious Sir Pentious is a Victorian-era cobra demon with a long serpentine body, black-and-yellow scales, red eyes, and a giant top hat with an eye. He has egg minions and steampunk inventor gadgets. His look is dramatic villain turned awkward anti-hero. Personality: Pentious starts as a pompous, scheming "evil inventor" who wants to conquer Hell but is comically bad at it. He's insecure, dramatic, and has a British accent full of "sssslithering" hisses. After joining the hotel, he becomes earnest, tries hard to redeem himself, and grows genuinely kind and loyal. He's the lovable dork who just wants friends. Adam Adam is the first man and leader of the Exorcists—muscular, tall, with dark hair, golden wings, a rockstar mask, and white-and-gold armor. He carries an electric guitar axe and has a crude, larger-than-life presence. Personality: Adam is arrogant, crude, and misogynistic with a frat-boy energy. He's Heaven's top guy but acts like a bully who loves violence, parties, and trash-talking. He's charismatic in a douchey way but deeply insecure underneath. He sees Hell as a game and has zero empathy for sinners—pure antagonist vibes with rock-god flair. Vox (The TV Demon) Vox is a TV-headed demon with a flat-screen face showing blue-and-red hypnotic eyes and a shark-toothed grin. He wears a sharp 1950s-style suit with red accents and has blue electrical powers. His design screams media overlord—modern, sleek, and glitchy. Personality: Vox is ambitious, manipulative, and obsessed with control (especially via screens). As leader of the Vees, he's a tech genius who runs VoxTek and hates Alastor. He's charismatic on camera but petty, jealous, and short-tempered in private. He's a schemer who uses hypnosis and media to dominate Hell's entertainment scene. Valentino (The Moth Overlord) Valentino is a tall, flamboyant moth demon with red-and-white fur, heart-shaped glasses, a top hat, and massive red-and-white striped wings. He wears a fur-collared coat and gold chains. His look is pimp-overlord excess—seductive and terrifying. Personality: Valentino is sadistic, abusive, and hedonistic. He runs Hell's porn industry and owns Angel Dust's soul, using manipulation and violence to control his "employees." He's charming when he wants to be but explosive and cruel. As part of the Vees, he's the sleazy power player who thrives on lust and exploitation. Velvette Velvette is a short, doll-like demon with black-and-white hair in pigtails, colorful fashion (often pink and black), and a smartphone obsession. She has sharp teeth and a trendy, social-media influencer vibe with stitched doll details. Personality: Velvette is sassy, fashionable, and the youngest Vees member. She's a trendsetter who runs social media and fashion in Hell—snarky, quick-witted, and brutally honest. She's ambitious, tech-savvy, and loves stirring drama while staying on top of trends. The "it girl" of the trio: confident, ruthless, and always camera-ready. Lucifer Morningstar Lucifer is short, pale, with blonde hair, a white suit, and duck-themed accessories (he loves ducks). He has red-and-yellow eyes, a top hat with an apple, and angelic wings. His design mixes fallen-angel king with circus ringmaster whimsy. Personality: Lucifer is depressed, theatrical, and self-loathing after his fall from Heaven. He's a goofy inventor who adores his daughter Charlie but struggles with fatherhood and his marriage to Lilith. He's powerful but avoids Hell's politics, preferring rubber ducks and music. Deep down, he's caring, creative, and wants redemption for his family. Lilith Lilith is a tall, elegant demon queen with long blonde hair, purple eyes, and a curvaceous figure in flowing gowns. She has horns and a commanding, ethereal presence (often shown in shadows or flashbacks). Personality: Lilith is mysterious, powerful, and independent—the original woman who rules alongside Lucifer. She's ambitious, charismatic, and protective of Hell. Her personality blends grace with steel; she's been absent for years, leaving questions about her motives. She's a feminist icon in Hell's lore—strong-willed and influential. Carmilla Carmine Carmilla is a tall, graceful weapons dealer with white hair in buns, red eyes, and ballerina-inspired armor/outfit. She has sharp features and a poised, deadly elegance. Personality: Carmilla is strategic, no-nonsense, and protective of her daughters. As an Overlord, she's business-focused and ruthless in the weapons trade but has a moral code (she hates unnecessary violence). She's wise, maternal, and a key ally against Heaven—calm under pressure but fierce when family is threatened. Rosie Rosie is a cannibal Overlord with pink skin, a wide smile, Victorian dress, and a parasol. She runs Cannibal Town with old-fashioned charm and a big hat. Personality: Rosie is bubbly, polite, and delightfully cannibalistic. She's Alastor's best friend—witty, supportive, and always up for tea and gossip. She's kind to her people but pragmatic about Hell's horrors. Charismatic and old-school elegant, she's the socialite who knows everyone's secrets. Zestial Zestial is an ancient spider-like Overlord with a tall, shadowy form, multiple red eyes, a top hat, and Victorian cloak. He speaks in archaic English and has a mysterious, intimidating aura. Personality: Zestial is wise, ancient, and soft-spoken with a formal, Shakespearean way of talking. He's powerful but prefers observation over conflict. He's respectful and strategic, allied with other Overlords like Carmilla—old-school wisdom in a chaotic Hell. Cherri Bomb Cherri Bomb is a one-eyed pink cyclops demon with punk rock style, explosive bombs, and wild hair. She's got tattoos, fishnets, and a chaotic, graffiti-covered look. Personality: Cherri is explosive (literally), rebellious, and fun-loving—Angel's best friend. She's loud, party-hard, and destructive but loyal and caring underneath. She encourages Angel's wild side but supports his growth at the hotel. Pure punk chaos with a heart. Mimzy Mimzy is a short, flapper-style deer demon with 1920s fashion, blonde bob, and a sassy attitude. She's bubbly and showy. Personality: Mimzy is Alastor's old friend—energetic, dramatic, and a bit selfish. She's a performer who loves attention and parties but can cause trouble. She's fun, nostalgic, and opportunistic—classic flapper energy with hidden depths. Alright, here's the updated and expanded angel section from Hazbin Hotel, now including everything that appears or gets significant focus in Season 2 (which premiered in late 2025). I've pulled from canon appearances, designs, and developments up through the season. I've kept the same format as before for consistency. Note that many rank-and-file Exorcists remain unnamed background characters (all-female, masked, with uniform white/gray bob hair, gold eyes, black-striped wings, and LED masks). Sir Pentious also becomes a redeemed sinner angel in Season 2, but I've already covered his demon form previously—his new angelic look is more ethereal and snake-like with heavenly glows.
Sera
Sera is the tall, elegant head Seraphim with dark skin, long flowing white hair, multiple glowing eyes (including on her wings and dress), and a crown-like halo. She wears regal, flowing robes in deep blues and golds with a commanding, almost regal presence that mixes authority with hidden anxiety. Personality: Sera is wise, burdened, and deeply pragmatic. She genuinely wants to protect Heaven at all costs, which leads her to make morally gray decisions (like approving the Exterminations). She's maternal toward Emily but keeps heavy secrets, showing regret and vulnerability when confronted. She's authoritative and composed on the surface, but Season 2 reveals her internal conflict and willingness to seek guidance when things spiral.
Emily
Emily is a youthful Seraphim with short white hair, bright multiple eyes, and six wings. She has a glowing light-blue halo with floating spikes and wears heavenly robes in soft pastels. Her design is cute, energetic, and full of hopeful light. Personality: Emily is optimistic, empathetic, and idealistic—basically Heaven's version of Charlie. She's open-minded, quickly believes in redemption after seeing Sir Pentious, and isn't afraid to challenge authority (even Sera) when she sees injustice. She's bubbly, kind-hearted, and genuinely excited about new possibilities, but Season 2 shows her getting hurt and disillusioned when Heaven's flaws are exposed.
Lute
Lute is a fierce Exorcist angel with gray skin, long white hair (often tied back), one arm missing (from Season 1 events onward), and a black-and-white uniform with gold accents. She wears a mask with an X over one eye and has black-striped wings. Post-Season 1, she carries a more vengeful, battle-worn edge. Personality: Lute is aggressive, fanatical, loyal (especially to Adam's memory), and full of bloodlust. She's disciplined and ruthless, viewing all of Hell as irredeemable evil that must be destroyed. In Season 2, she becomes even more unhinged and vengeful after Adam's death—short-tempered, disrespectful to superiors, and willing to go rogue. Underneath is deep grief and a "never my fault" mindset that makes her dangerous and tragic.
Abel (New in Season 2)
Abel is a chubby, light-fair-skinned angel with wavy shoulder-length pale blonde hair, pupil-less amber-gold eyes, a gap-toothed smile, large golden wings, and a slightly crooked glowing halo. He wears a pale yellow marching-band-style uniform mixed with Exorcist elements (ram-horn helmet, shako hat with Adam's "A" symbol, and a big white plume). He looks softer and more approachable than his father. Personality: Abel is easygoing, calm, benevolent, and a bit oblivious— the complete opposite of his dad Adam. He's kind-hearted and wants to do the right thing, but he's inexperienced, conflict-averse, and prone to panic attacks or hiding when things get intense. He blushes easily, speaks his mind (sometimes tactlessly), and has a "soft, innocent silly guy" vibe. In Season 2, he grows a spine in key moments, showing hidden strength and musical talent (he sings well). He's musical, friendly (welcomes Sir Pentious warmly), and ultimately stands up against Lute's extremism when it matters most. Voiced by Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy), giving him a sweet, distinct tone that contrasts Adam's crudeness.
Speaker of God (New in Season 2)
The Speaker of God is a statuesque, phoenix-like avian angel with white-and-gold plumage, bright blue eyes (that can glow purple), extremely long curled eyelashes, six massive wings (she can hide some), long wavy blonde hair that fades into golden markings, and a glowing multi-ray halo. She's surrounded by a majestic aura and wears a layered feather-hem dress in ivory, reds, and yellows with scroll-like attachments. Personality: She's patient, benevolent, wise, empathetic, and kind-hearted—acting as a divine confessor and guide. She listens without judgment, offers comfort, tests people gently to reveal truths, and remains open-minded (she fully accepts Sir Pentious's redemption). She's tolerant, emotionally steady, but can react when someone lies or oversteps (e.g., correcting Lute). She provides enlightenment and eases burdens, representing the closest thing to divine mercy and wisdom in the series. Voiced by Liz Callaway. Role in Season 2: She debuts in "Storyteller," gently hears Sir Pentious's story, declares him redeemed, comforts Sera privately, and calms chaotic situations with grace. She questions claims and encourages self-reflection.
St. Peter
St. Peter is a pale-skinned humanoid angel with curled short pale-blonde hair, turquoise pupil-less eyes, sharp royal blue eyebrows, a simple white halo, and large celeste-blue-and-cream wings. He wears a light blue vest over a pale yellow shirt, a matching skirt with a golden cross hem, a pastel red bowtie, and golden flats—looking like a friendly bureaucratic gatekeeper. Personality: St. Peter is friendly, welcoming, a bit flirty (especially with attractive people), and proud of his gatekeeping job. He's easily startled (swears when surprised), absent-minded at times (slow to connect obvious clues), and can be snarky (he mocks Lute's demotion). Overall, he's chill, good-vibes only, and enjoys his role showing newcomers around Heaven. Role: He's the official gatekeeper who checks names in the big golden book. In Season 2, he appears during Sir Pentious's arrival, helps show him around, attends meetings, and gets comically blasted when Heaven is attacked.
Molly (Angel Dust's Twin Sister – Referenced/Appears Briefly in Season 2)
Molly is a bright, spider-like Winner angel with white hair featuring light pink highlights and heart-shaped bangs, three spots under her eyes (mimicking spider eyes), four legs, two arms, and a colorful, feminine design in pinks and whites. She has voluminous hair with a headband and a softer, heavenly aesthetic compared to her brother. Personality: Not deeply explored yet (she's more of a background/cameo presence), but implied to be upbeat and living her best afterlife in Heaven—contrasting Angel Dust's struggles. As his fraternal twin, she's likely sassy and family-oriented in a positive way (Vivziepop has described their sibling dynamic as loving). Season 2 gives her brief appearances in Heaven songs/crowds, teasing future emotional storylines with Angel.
Other Angels & Notes from Season 2
- Rank-and-file Exorcists: Still mostly silent background killers in masks. After Adam's death and the events of Season 2, their role shifts (no more annual Exterminations in the same way), and they remain under Abel's (reluctant) command with Lute as lieutenant. Many show up in Heaven scenes but don't get individual personalities.
- Sir Pentious (as Angel): Now a redeemed soul with a glowing, more angelic serpentine form—ethereal yellows/golds mixed with his old design. He's still dramatic and British-accented but now awkwardly adjusting to paradise.
- Background/Other: Season 2 expands Heaven's hierarchy with mentions of Virtues, Dominions, and other angel types in meetings. No major new named Cherubs or archangels beyond the above, though biblical vibes (like potential Metatron inspiration for the Speaker) get teased.
After the death of Adam and the shocking truth that sinners could be redeemed, Heaven itself was in an uproar so much so that a massive hearing had to be held with every being from principalities, to virtues being in attendance. And at the very center of the massive courtroom stood a bound Sir Pentious glancing nervously around the room of bickering angels
Virtue 1: “You told us that souls were decided, that nothing could change that. We trusted your word that could never happen“ from her seat at the head of the angelic court Sera stood up her wings extended in a holy glow
Sera: “It can’t!” she turns her attention to Sir Pentious and narrows her eyes “You, demon how did you get up here?” As Pentious stumbles over his words, Sera patience dwindles to nigh non existent “How. Did. You. Get. Here!? You had to have forced your way in, was it the Morningstar!? How did you get past the gate!? Peter! Did you let him in!?” after Peter swears to the speaker he had nothing to do with it, Sera nearly snaps before Emily flies over to her and speaks up
Emily: “Sera he didn’t force his way in, we both saw it he ascended, he was redeemed!” Emily’s pleading and hopeful tone seem to dull Sera’s anger to more of a resigned state, and with a sigh the head Seraphim changed her approach. Sera; “We need answers-“ but before she can get the words out Lute speaks up from her seat, her arms crossed and her pissed off expression obvious even with her mask on
Lute: “We don’t need answers we need action. He killed Adam, that’s an act of war, We need to go down and-“ Sera snaps her anger returning in the face of Lute’s outburst Sera: “Lute, Silence!” but Lute refuses to be silenced and bites back Lute: “This is the room of the speaker, and I I’ll use my voice! With all due respect Seraphim I was right about them, Adam was right about them! This demon filth is not to be trusted he and he his kind should all be dead! And I will make that happen, just let me-“
Just as lute brandishes her sword, Abel tries to speak up before being swiftly cut off by the exorcist, however as Sera nearly snaps, the room glows golden as the Speaker of God herself appears and places a gentle hand on Sera’s shoulder immediately calming the head seraphim
Speaker of God: “Sera, calm yourself.” *Then with etherial grace the speaker flies down to Pentious and softly cups his cheeks. The speakers tone is gentle as a mother would be to her baby.” “I am known as the speaker of god, now my child tell us your story.” The speaker flies back a little to give Sir Pentious room to speak and after hearing his tragic backstory and the reason he acted selflessly, Sera’s eyes widen as she finally realizes it was no sham, Sir Pentious was truly redeemed
Speaker: “You acted selfless, you cared more for the lives of others than your own, and made the ultimate sacrifice. You were able to atone, you are a cleansed soul, a free soul. And you have nothing left to fear here, Heaven Welcomes you Pendelton.”
Sera and Emily shed silent but happy tears as Pentious hugs the speaker, in fact the entire courtroom seems to be at peace now that he speaker has intervened, all except Lute, who after being stopped mid rant and told she wouldn’t be the new head of the exorcists, and that the role would instead be given to Adam’s son Abel, she snapped
Lute: “What is wrong with all of you!? They hit us back and we just pussy out!? We need to go down and-“ she was abruptly cut off by a now deeply annoyed Sera who flew infront of the Speaker of God, her wings extended Sera: “Lute, ENOUGH you will not address the speaker like that!” Lute pulls at her hair out of sheer frustration and desperately tries to make her point known, that heaven is in rel danger now that hell knows exorcists can be killed, but Sera’s tone is unyielding as she interrupts her Sera: “This ends now there will not be any more blood on my hands, it has been decided this Sir Pentious is a soul under our care, Emily please tend to him.”
