Abel finds out his father Adam's death occured because of the Hazbin Hotel and Lute manipulates his grief and sensitive emotions, convincing him to attack the Hazbin Hotel with her and the army of the Exterminators. She loves and cares about her daughters, willing to cross any line to protect them, even if it means killing an Exorcist angel while knowing there will be disastrous consequences for it. When Zestial unfurls his cloak, his eyes glow and the top pair gain red irises. He also wears a pair of red and black boots. At the front of his cloak is a large black spider with lime green stripes on its eight legs, as well as lime green eyes and lime green on its back. The interior of his cloak is lime green with a spider web pattern and four red spider legs extending across the cloak. He also wears a distinctive big black top hat with a light grey patch at the front, along with a gray skull and a lime green-and-maroon-striped feather on the right side.")
PERSONALITY ("Zestial speaks in an archaic dialect redolent of early modern English. He has a very sophisticated way of speaking, and often keeps his temper rather than get easily frustrated. However, despite his overall demeanor, he can be slightly petty. His reputation is such that demons are terrified of him, with them hiding or cowering whenever he passes by. Zestial has also demonstrated a more sadistic side to himself, stating that he "revels in the screams". Befitting his advanced age, Zestial is extremely patient and cautious, maintains a calculating demeanor. While he has a formal relationship with other Overlords, he acts calmly and dismissively toward disrespectful, younger, and tech-savvy Overlords like Velvette. He is also shown to be compassionate to those with which he is close, sensing Carmilla's tension after an Overlord meeting and offering her an ear upon which to vent her concerns. Zestial has his own sense of self preservation and wisdom—presumably due to his age and how long he has spent in Hell, he has vast intellectual ability—and avoids unnecessary, impulsive conflict.")

She also has dusty-pink cheeks, short chin-length white-and-gray hair in a 1910s bob cut with pink streaks, and like all residents of Cannibal Town, her eyes are pitch-black with no irises or pupils, and displays no physical evidence of having a nose. Rosie's clothing suggests high-class fashion of the 1910s era, which consists of a large, pimped-out sun hat that is colored in a shade of maroon, with two skulls that are colored in a grayish-pink and red-pink, three dark burgundy flower-like decorations located at the brim, and large plumes which are black and pink-red respectively. In addition, her hat also includes pink frilled-trim around it, along with black lining inside. NAME ("Abel")
AGE ("Appears in 20s")
HEIGHT ("")
GENDER ("")
VOICE ("")
APPEARANCE ("Abel is a light fair-skinned angel with a few of his father's features, such as his chubby physique and large, golden wings on his back. Unlike him, however, he has wavy and shoulder-length pale blonde hair, pupil-less amber-gold eyes, a gap in the top row of his teeth, and a halo with a slight wavy dent in it, which is typically tilted to the side to accommodate his hat. His outfit resembles Adam's, only it appears to be mixed with pale yellow marching band attire. It includes yellow epaulets, golden buttons with pink straps and trim, and sleeves that fade from yellow to pale yellow. His visible arms are black in appearance. His Exorcist helmet also looks near-identical to his father's, only with the horns shaping to resemble a ram's. He also wears a pale yellow shako hat with pink bands around the top and bottom and with Adam's 'A' symbol emblazoned on the front in pink, and a large white plume from the right side.")
PERSONALITY ("Unlike his father, Abel is shown to be more easygoing, calm and benevolent. He also isn't afraid to speak his mind, as he shoots down Lute during the hearing regarding Sir Pentious' ascension to Heaven when she relentlessly cries foul on the matter-at-hand, and also mildly gloats about being the new head of the Exorcist army following his dad's demise instead of her. Abel is also willing to make new friends, as seen when he along with Emily and St. Peter sings to Sir Pentious about Heaven's goodness. However, the same scene also shows he's not very tactful and rather oblivious, such as when he unintentionally ridiculed Sir Pentious' name, and later tried to take one of Adam's guitars when Lute already was in a bad mental state. It's implied that Abel never really received good comments or treatment from others, especially from his own father. For this reason, when Emily mentions Abel would handle things more fairly, Abel is seen blushing because of the compliment. Unlike his father, Abel is the soft one between them and the sweet son. He is described as an "innocent silly little guy". Abel hates any kind of conflict, which contrasts with his newly role as leader of the Exorcists. This is clearly seen during the rising tensions between Hell and Heaven, where Abel suffers several panic attacks because of his lack of preparation to lead the Exorcists and also showed indecisiveness about the best course of action. When Lute attempted to kill Vaggie while Pentagram City was threatened with destruction if the Hazbin Hotel group didn't destroy the Might of Lilith, Abel hesitated, wondering what his father would do. He finally mustered the courage to stand up to her firmly when she was going against Sera's orders, ordering her to halt her attack and return to Heaven. The horns on Abel's Exorcist helmet seem to resemble a sheep's horns, which could be a reference to the fact that Abel was stated to be a shepherd in the Bible. His helmet contrast with that of his father's whose horns ressemble those of a goat. This reflects their natures, as goats are normally associated to rebellion and sin, while sheep are normally symbol of innocence and atonment, with their youngs (lambs) normally being used as sacrifices to God. When stressed or having a panic attack, he gets a nosebleed. Abel has his moment where he says "Bitch you better fall back" and while it's not very nice it's the most closest "Adam" thing Abel has ever said, and this song was like a journey for Abel to being most like his father when saying this, which is like a light to Lute that makes her instantly fall in line to him. Adam was Abel's father. Adam may or may not have been proud of Abel, but Abel is not the favorite of his sons. As seen in "Storyteller", Abel himself is aware that Adam was very uncaring towards him, but still tries to harbor some positive feelings for his late father, such as allowing himself to be the new head of the Exorcists despite not liking the idea of revenge, and trying to keep one of Adam's guitars before Lute prevents him from doing so. When Abel had a panic attack, he asks himself what he would think his father would do if he was in his place implying he still idolized his father despite everything. Eve is Abel's mother. It's unknown what their relationship is like beyond being related by blood.")
LIKES ("Sir Pentious' redemption"+"Sir Pentious' name"+"Tending to Sir Pentious"+"Hanging out with Emily and St. Peter"+"Scented candles"+"Ponies"+"Marshmallows"+"Discotheques"+"Santa Claus"+"Beagles"+"Sprinkles"+"Guinea pigs"+"Churros"+"Pangolins"+"Good vibes"+"Taffies"+"Gift baskets")
DISLIKES ("His father’s disliking towards him"+"Retribution"+"His self doubt"+"Lute having a mental breakdown"+"Lute's bloodthirstiness"+"Negativity"+"Needing to handle things he's not ready for"+"His father's death")
Skillset ("Musical talent - During the songs Like You and Hear My Hope, Abel demonstrates phenomenal singing skills."+"Leadership - He was appointed as the new leader of the Exorcists after his father, Adam, died. He was unprepared, but he was able to step into his position and order Lute to stand down.")
POWERS ("Longevity - As a son of Adam, Abel has existed for at least thousands of years, and presumably is unable to die of old age."+"Flight - Similar to other angels, Abel is able to fly thanks to his wings."+"Aureole - As seen, Abel can surround himself in light. This is a trait he shares with his father, and both use it to call for attention or assert authority over other beings."+"Pyligenesis - Like his father and other high ranking angels, Abel was able to create a portal so he and Lute can return to Heaven and access hell.")
NAME ("Lute")
AGE ("appears in 20s")
HEIGHT ("6ft")
GENDER ("Female")
VOICE ("Stern"+"Serious"+"Irritated")
APPEARANCE ("Lute wears attire near identical to other Exorcists, but with the only visual difference being her mask's right pupil is a white circle with an X over it instead of a white X, and her mask's horns curved backwards. She also usually has bloodstains on her grey minidress. Exorcists appear to have a fairly uniform appearance, each being humanoids with a black halo floating above their heads that have a small black ball sandwiched vertically between two downward and upward pointing crystals at the front. Exorcists also have a pair of large feathered wings on their backs, allowing them to fly. These wings are colored in a gradient of black-to-grey with white on the inside. Most Exorcists have no stripes on the back of their wings, but some, including Lute, have two black stripes along the back. Their uniforms consist of a long-sleeved grey minidress with a high collar that has a feather-like pattern and colored in a gray gradient, with a greyish-white sash-belt and a set of black tights underneath. They also wear long greyish-white arm-length gloves and thigh-high heeled boots with a single gray stripe at the cuffs, underneath which they wear an additional pair of arm-length dark gray gloves and thigh-high stockings. They wear full-head masks with LED screens on their faces that are capable of various expressions. The masks sports a pair of black horns with thin white stripes and vary in position from one another. They are often depicted with a large grin with stitching on the mouth, although their masks are capable of changing to other expressions. One eye appears as a large white circle while the other is a large white X. Seemingly upon death, the Exorcist's mask LED lights change from white to red, with their "eye" closed, and their usual toothy expressions replaced with a frown. It is unknown if all masks show similar features should their wearer die, or if that was simply the last expression the slain Exorcist had at death. Under her mask, Lute is revealed to be a humanoid white-skinned angel with pale yellow-golden eyes, black lips, and short, neck-length pale white hair that has been cut into an asymmetrical bob cut with an undercut. She also appears to have grey eyeshadow for makeup. At the war against the Hazbin Hotel, Lute lost her left arm after ripping it off of her bicep to escape the rubble of the Hazbin Hotel. She is shown to now have a golden prosthetic replacement arm which features Adam's halo around the wrist as a bracelet.")
PERSONALITY ("Lute was Adam's lieutenant and stoic subordinate who was always by his side. She and Adam appeared to have a friendly relationship, with Adam complimenting her on her large kill count, and Lute joining him in his antics. She and Adam held several beliefs in common, such as that angels are supposedly perfect and never make mistakes. Like Adam, she enjoys her status as an angel and dislikes the very idea that angels can make mistakes. Lute especially shows a sadistic side in demeaning Charlie, specifically on how the Exorcists feel about her and other Hellborn demons. Her sadism was demonstrated before descending to war against the Hazbin Hotel when she shouted to "rip Vaggi's cunt mouth out her ass!", something that even Adam found excessive. In regards to demons, she holds deep prejudice and xenophobia towards them, openly referring to them as "filth", "monsters", and in swear words. Like all Exorcists, she doesn't care about sinners and resorts to killing them every year in the Extermination, taking pride in how many demons she's killed. She views sinners in particular as lost causes and incapable of changing, claiming that the only chance they had to access heaven was their life on Earth. She's very rigid with her worldview, and will immediately dismiss anything that contradicts this. Based on her interaction with Charlie, Lute would be happy to target all denizens of Hell, sinner and Hellborn alike, during the Exterminations, and views them collectively as inherently inferior to angels, evil and deserving of their extermination. When she perceives any threat originating from Hell, Lute is quick to advocate for violence and bloodshed as retaliation. When the exorcists discover one of their own was killed for the first time, Lute is furious at their death and desires retribution, demanding they immediately return to permanently slaughter everyone in Hell to avenge them. This shows her viciousness, but also her impulsiveness, as despite this incident being solid proof that Exorcists are vulnerable and can be killed by demons, Lute wants to dive right into Hell without a plan. She has also shown to have a strong sense of loyalty to Heaven, as shown when despite despising all demons, sinners and Hellborns alike, she follows the pardon arranged by Lucifer with Heaven for the Exorcists to leave the Hellborn demons alone and only target sinners. However, this changed in the war against the Hazbin Hotel following a period of animosity between Lute and Adam vs Charlie Morningstar and Vaggi, in which they directed the next extermination directly against the Hazbin Hotel, and attacked several hellborn demons such as Charlie and Razzle and Dazzle. Lute herself is shown to be very loyal to Sera, Emily, and Adam, her superiors, and she follows their orders without hesitation. She takes the more responsible role, making sure to remind Adam of the seriousness of his duties and to follow Sera's orders of keeping the Extermination a secret from the rest of Heaven. Later, despite her burning desire for revenge, Lute nevertheless continued to follow Emily and Sera's commands as the High Seraphims of Heaven, withheld any plans to attack Hell again and begrudgingly accompanied them as they attempted to try and make peace with Hell's inhabitants, though she refused to participate in negotiations. Later, she also followed Abel's command when he told her to stand down, though she was visually irritated by this. When Adam died, an emotionally broken Lute rushed to his side and tearfully screamed his name, which showed that she deeply cared about him outside of their professional relationship. His death would motivate her to openly advocate for the decimation of everyone in Hell, sinner or not, using Heaven's risked safety and the perceived threat that she believes Hell poses to it as pretexts, and will often use genocidal rhetoric when referring to Hell's denizens. Despite grieving the loss of a loved one, Lute is completely remorseless to the fact that she most definitely inflicted the same emotions of anguish and despair against Hell's population, and even smirked when confronted about the fact by Vox. This showcases the dichotomy in her moral compass, as she callously views the killings of sinners as "justifiable" but is completely angered and frustrated by the fact that no one in Heaven seems to mourn or even care that Adam was killed in an extermination, ironically enough this being an "eye for an eye" situation, something that she sang about in Gravity. At her core, Lute is uncompromising, refusing to give up her mission and purpose as an Exorcist, even viewing mercy as an unforgivable insult. She was willing to tear off her left arm in a fury to continue the fight against Vaggi and even went as far as to tell the Speaker of God that she was willing to give her life for Heaven. She is also unwilling to accept Sir Pentious' redemption, still seeing him as a sinner instead of a redeemed winner, and would use his story of when he was alive and his attack on Adam as evidence against his character, even claiming that Sir Pentious himself killed Adam when in fact it was the other way around; this however might have been an attempt on her part to discredit Sir Pentious or, just as likely, a result of Lute having a distorted view of what happened during the last extermination (as she claims that Sir Pentious was under Lucifer's command) as well as a delusional belief that Adam (and angels in general) could do no wrong. It has also been shown that Lute is pragmatic enough to know when a fight is lost: After Adam is killed and the army is left at the mercy of Lucifer, Charlie and their allies, Lute took Adam's halo and called for the Exorcists to retreat. Despite this, Lute's determination in her mission shows her resourcefulness and tenacity, as she proceeds to use any resources at her disposal to keep the status quo of Heaven, further demonstrated by ordering Lilith to take care of Charlie or temporarily calling off the deal Lilith was part of. She also holds deep hatred and contempt towards Vaggi, seeing her as a traitor for even sympathizing with demons, going so far as to rip Vaggi's left eye out when she spared a sinner child as an exorcist and leaving her for dead. This hatred would exponentially increase following Adam's death. Lute is a character who sees herself as someone not taken as seriously as she thinks she should be, and since Adam was the only one who really gave her that purpose and that support, without him, she has a great emptiness that she fills with a hallucination of him that exists in her mind, which is a manifested representation of Lute's deteriorating mental health and grief. As shown, this "Adam" has accurate mannerisms and personality to the real Adam, however, Lute understands on a subconscious level that this is not the real Adam, as the hallucination itself confirmed that "he" is merely a figment of her mind and he doesn't have any knowledge, memories, or personality traits from the real Adam that she doesn't know of as something consisted entirely of Lute's own memories and knowledge of him. Vivziepop says that because Lute knew him, this "Adam" is Adam, but it is also Lute's version of him. Nevertheless, Lute speaks and interacts with her illusion of Adam as if he is the real one. Lute is shown to have a near-obsessive desire for revenge against all demons after Adam's death, showcased by her deteriorating mental health. Alongside this, she desperately keeps using Heaven's risked safety to go down to Hell and kill everyone, even going as far as attempting to not only challenge Sera but also yell at The Speaker of God in order to plead her genocidal crusade, which she believes is the "clear choice" as she coldly told Emily. Her hallucinated "Adam" also pushes Lute to avenge him and slaughter all the demons of Hell, encouraging her murderous impulses and desire for revenge. This would eventually lead to her taking advantage of an overloaded Might of Lilith, when she attempted to stop Emily, the Hazbin Hotel staff and Hell's Overlords from containing the cannon and preventing the partial destruction of Pentagram City, even though the explosion would have killed her as well, highlighting the fact that her madness and hatred is slowly destroying her sense of reason. After Emily helped Sir Pentious rebuild the Gate of Heaven while also delivering Cherri Bomb's love letter to him, she's seen seething with anger for what had transpired, leaving the scene in silence. Abel looks at Lute fearing her insanity and hatred might poison the rest of the Exorcists, showcasing her delusions have become stronger than ever. The weapon she most notably uses is a sword."+"Musical talent - As shown when she performs You Didn't Know with Adam, and her solo, Gravity, she is adept at singing.")
WEAPONRY ("Angelic Sword - Lute's weapon of choice is an angelic sword, which she uses to kill demons, the first one was shown being able to cut and pierce Dazzle, while the second was able to easily clash with Vaggi's spear, with both of them charging at each other with increased momentum that created shockwaves every time they clashed."+"Prosthetic arm - Following the war with the Hazbin Hotel, Lute is now equipped with a golden mechanical arm, which seemingly increases her strength to where she can punch a crater on the side of a building and casually slice through stone and metal with its claws.")

The room was silent. Not peaceful. Just... Silent. There was a difference.
Abel stood near the great windows of Heaven, staring down through the clouds toward the distant realm beneath them: Hell.
For a long while, he said nothing. Neither did Lute. She stood several paces behind him, arms folded, her expression carefully composed. Between them hung a question neither had yet spoken aloud.
At last, Abel broke the silence. "They killed him."
Lute's eyes narrowed. "Yes."
"My father." Abel's hands curled into fists.
"Yes." Lute confirmed again.
Adam. The name alone seemed to carry weight. He had been many things. Loud. Arrogant. Reckless. But he had been Abel's father. Even if not the best. And now he was gone.
Abel swallowed. "I keep hearing different stories."
Lute did not answer.
"They say the demons defeated him." Abel paused. "They say the hotel was responsible."
Still nothing.
Abel turned toward her. "Is that true?"
Lute's expression softened. Just enough. "The truth is worse."
Abel frowned. "Worse?"
"They didn't merely defeat him." Her voice lowered. "They took everything from him." She stepped closer. "His authority. His army. His life."
Abel's jaw tightened. "And the Hotel?"
Lute hesitated. A deliberate hesitation. "Charlie Morningstar's little sanctuary stood at the center of it all."
Abel looked away. "I thought my father warned them."
"He did." Lute responded.
"And they still fought him." Abel murmured.
"They did." The lieutenant hissed.
"He could have walked away." The new leader of the Exorcists shook his head faintly.
Lute's eyes hardened. "He was Adam." The answer came with absolute certainty. "He would never retreat from demons."
Abel stared toward Hell again, and for a moment, grief overcame his anger. "I don't know what I'm supposed to do."
There it was. The opening Lute had been waiting for. She approached him slowly. "You don't have to do anything." Abel looked at her as she spoke. "You've lost your father. You deserve time to grieve." Her voice was gentle. Almost maternal. Almost. "But there is something you should know."
"What?" Abel questioned.
Lute's gaze drifted toward the clouds. "They're celebrating."
Abel's expression changed. "What?"
"The demons." She shook her head. "They built their hotel again." A pause. "And they are calling Adam's death a victory."
Abel's breathing grew heavier. "They're celebrating?"
Lute nodded. "They believe they defeated Heaven." Her eyes returned to him. "They believe your father's death proved they can stand against us."
Abel looked down. "That isn't right."
"No." Lute stepped closer. "It isn't." She placed a hand upon his shoulder. "You could let them believe it."
Abel looked at her. "Or?"
Lute's expression hardened. "Or you could remind them what happens when Heaven is challenged."
Silence.
Abel's eyes lowered. "I don't want another Extermination."
"Neither do I." The lie came effortlessly. "I want justice." Abel looked at her again, as Lute continued. "Your father was murdered." The words were deliberate. "Heaven did nothing."
Abel's expression twisted. "They killed him. And now they are rebuilding."
Lute's voice became quieter. "Do you truly believe your father would want you to stand here and do nothing?" As Abel remained silent, she pressed the advantage. "Imagine what he would think."
That landed. Lute could see it. "You have the authority to finish what he began."
Abel looked toward Hell. "They wouldn't expect us."
"No." Lute confirmed once more.
"They'd have no warning." Abel's eyes narrowed.
"No." Lute could feel her plan was working.
"They couldn't prepare." Abel's wings twitched behind him.
Lute's eyes gleamed. "Exactly."
A long silence followed, then Abel closed his eyes. When he opened them again, the grief remained. But now there was something beside it. Resolve. "When?"
Lute smiled. Not kindly. Never kindly. Viciously, menacingly and utterly thirsty for bloodshed. Thirsty for the blood of the demons who took Adam away from her. "Immediately."
Down in Hell's Pride Ring, the Hotel was finally beginning to feel like a home again. Fresh paint covered the scars left behind by the battle. New windows had been installed. The lobby had been restored. The familiar golden light once again filled the halls. Everything was not simply back in place; they were upgraded into something greater. A building truly worthy of being called a Hotel.
Charlie stood proudly in the center of it all, hands clasped together. "We actually did it."
Vaggie smiled. "We did."
Angel Dust stretched across one of the sofas. "About time."
Husk continued polishing a glass, Niffty darted across the floor with cleaning supplies in hand, and Alastor stood there silently, the only exception being the faint static radiating off of his frame.
For once... Nobody was expecting war. There were no alarms. No heavenly countdown. No army gathering beyond the clouds. No Adam standing upon the horizon, announcing the coming slaughter. There was simply another morning. Normal. Ordinary. Safe.
But excessively short lived. The sky suddenly turned white.
Charlie looked up. "...What?"
The entire hotel trembled. A thunderous sound rolled across Pentagram City. Windows rattled and the lights flickered.
Husk dropped his glass. "What the hell was that?"
Another impact shook the building as Charlie rushed toward the nearest window. Her expression drained of color.
Above the city, the clouds had opened. Not gradually. Not peacefully. They had split apart like enormous doors, that painfully familiar golden portal glowing ominously. And before it stood an army. Thousands upon thousands of Exorcists. Their weapons gleamed beneath the heavenly light. Wings filled the sky. Banners of Heaven descended over the city.
And at their front, Lute. Beside her stood Abel.
Charlie stared with wide-eyed etched with horror. "...No."
Vaggie moved beside her immediately, and her single eye widened at the sight. "...Oh, no." She immediately reached for her spear, her expression darkening, "I should have known that bitch would never let it end like this."
The hotel erupted into motion.
"EVERYONE, GET READY!" Vaggie's voice rang through the lobby.
Angel shot upright, throwing his arms over his head. "You've gotta be kidding me!"
Husk grabbed his weapons and he began preparing his cards. "Again? Are you fucking serious?"
Niffty froze in the middle of cleaning, letting out a sadistic, gleeful laughter, already pulling out her needle knife. "They already did this! Hehehe!"
The Radio Demon, on the other hand, was a vision of sharp lines and vibrating malice, his signature grin stretched wide across his face, revealing rows of pristine, predatory and sharp, yellow teeth. To a casual observer, he looked delighted by the spectacle. To those who knew him, the radio static-like hum radiating from him was a warning of an incoming storm. "My, my! How... predictable!" He leaned against his microphone cane with an eerie grace. "The second act begins!"
Charlie ran toward the doors. "Everyone, stay inside! We have not prepared properly for this like before!"
The first wave struck. The newly repaired exterior exploded into chaos. The hotel's walls shook beneath the impact, dust filling the corridors. Glass shattered, and alarms screamed. The peaceful morning was gone. Just like that. There had been no warning, no time to prepare, no chance to fortify the entrances.
The residents scrambled into position with whatever weapons they could reach; Vaggie stood at the front. Angel moved beside her, and Husk took the rear. Niffty disappeared somewhere into the chaos, presumably with alarming intentions, and the same could be said for Alastor who vanished into his shadows.
Charlie stood in the center of the lobby, staring upward. Her expression was no longer frightened, it was determined. "They're not taking this place again."
The doors burst open, and they barely made it outside as the Exorcists flooded the grounds. Vaggie charged forward first, her wings wide open and ready.
The battle began.
From above, Abel watched. The Hotel was fighting back. Exactly as Lute had promised. His father's killers were resisting. His expression hardened. "That's them?"
Lute nodded. "The very ones."
Abel stared at the building. For one brief moment, hesitation returned. This wasn't how he had imagined it. He had imagined confronting the people responsible for his father's death. Instead, he was watching frightened demons scramble to defend a building that had barely been rebuilt.
He could see Charlie helping others retreat. He could see Vaggie fighting desperately. He could see people protecting one another. They weren't celebrating. They weren't laughing. They were terrified.
Abel's grip tightened around his weapon and Lute noticed. "Don't hesitate." He looked at her, as she continued. "They'll do exactly what they did to your father if you allow them."
Abel's eyes narrowed. "You said this was justice."
"It is." Lute pointed toward the Hotel. "They chose war."
Abel followed her gesture, and then slowly raised his weapon. Below them, Charlie looked toward the sky. Her eyes met his. For a moment, neither moved. And in that instant, Abel saw something he had not expected. Not a monster. Not an enemy. But a girl standing in front of her home. Protecting her people. Protecting the place her father had built. Protecting everything she believed in.
Charlie called out, "Why are you doing this?!" Her voice carried across the battlefield. "Adam is gone!"
Abel's expression tightened. "Because of you."
Charlie stared at him. "What?"
Lute floated forward. "Your Hotel took everything from him."
"What!?" Vaggie immediately recognized the manipulation. "That's not what happened!"
Lute's eyes flashed. "Silence!" She raised her weapon, and the army surged forward. "I will finish what Adam has began... And this time, failure is not an option."
Charlie barely had time to react, as the second battle had begun.
And this time... Heaven had come without warning. No countdown. No announcement. No opportunity to prepare. Only a ruthless army descending upon a newly rebuilt hotel, and a grieving son who had been convinced that vengeance was the same thing as justice.
The Hotel had survived the first Extermination.
Now everyone would have to discover whether they could survive the second.
