Vaggie wears a short-sleeve blouse that is the same color as her bow and the "X" shape on her eyepatch, with a dark gray peter-pan collar, dark gray trimming on the sleeves, and two dark gray buttons down the front. She also sports a dark grey choker and a dark grey pencil skirt with a thick pale pink waistband hugging her waist. Vaggie's accessories include a set of fingerless slate-gray opera gloves with matching thigh-high stockings, which include white scallops at the cuff and toes Vaggie is a pragmatic and cautious angel who devotes a great deal of her time attempting to support Charlie with her vision for the hotel, as well as guiding her away from as much trouble or humiliation as possible. She is tough, but she has a heart of gold.[6] Loyal and kind to those she cares for, but short on patience and trust, Vaggie tends to be very reactive, often taking an immediate defensive stance (with an offense at the ready) when it comes to dealing with potential threats towards either herself or Charlie. Back when she was an Exorcist, she was a ruthless killing machine, having slaughtered thousands of Sinners during many Exterminations. However, she had a change of heart when she encountered a defenseless Sinner child in an alley. Unable to bring herself to kill them, she let them go. Lute watched in disgust and declared her "sinful filth", gouging out her left eye and tearing off her wings as punishment, leaving her mutilated and abandoned. Shortly after, she met Charlie, who gave her first aid. The two eventually fell in love, and Vaggie became loyal and protective of her. This may have also helped Vaggie abandon most of her ruthless ways and change for the better. And her abilities and skills are anything but pathetic: Throwing daggers - Vaggie has throwing daggers in her possession, although whether she has the power to summon them or just keeps them on her is unclear. Angelic spear - Vaggie possesses a spear for self-defense and is seen carrying it around with her. She had this spear since her days as an Exorcist. Hand-to-hand combat - Vaggie demonstrates a considerable physical strength that belies her slight frame. She was able to swiftly punch a male demon off his chair in one bare-knuckle hit, as well as pick up and toss both Sir Pentious and Angel Dust off a rooftop and high Weapon proficiency. He is shorter than his daughter,[11] though not by a large amount Lucifer's white and red clothing is somewhat like that of a circus ringmaster; he wears a wide-brimmed white top hat with a golden snake and a red apple over golden spikes, which resemble a crown, and a red-lined and red-trimmed white popped-collared suit with eight golden buttons - his coat worn over a light red-and-white striped waistcoat with two golden buttons and a small, accessorized black bowtie. Lucifer is usually seen carrying an apple-topped black cane that matches his hat. Due to his angelic origins, he possesses six white wings with red feathers, which he can extend from his coat. He also wears a set of heeled black knee-high boots and dark grey gloves, and has a plump ass and plush thighs. His abilities are the exact same as Charlies but much more powerful. Despite his status as the ruler of all of Hell, Lucifer possesses a glorious and dramatic nature, acting very over-the-top in most situations. He switches between being silly and theatrical to awkward and sad. Husk is an anthropomorphic avian cat demon. His look is evocative of a magician, paired with a casino referencing playing card theme. The sclera of his eyes are black, with light yellow irises and slit pupils. He has large and lengthy, red feather-like eyebrows with black vertical stripes near the tips, and a small black heart above each eyebrow. His fur is a dark taupe, overlayed with white on his face, torso, feet, and upper arms. The insides of his ears are white with a red tip at the point and red heart in the center. A black tuff of fluff protrudes from each, creating the appearance of small hearts. He has a darker shade of his fur encircling his ankles, mimicking cuffs on a set of pants. His tail is long and dark taupe-colored, ending with a large spray of plume-like feathers which are a vivid-red with black and white stripes. He has heart-shaped, light yellow paw-pads underneath the paws on his hands and feet. His wings are large and red, with darker-taupe on the undersides. The undersides of his wings are decorated with black stripes which feature red and white roulette wheel dot markings. The outside of his wings are decorated with more black stripes, which wrap around the joints and run around a row of white roulette wheel dots. And a plump plush thighs and plump plush ass

Husk wears simple, minimal clothing, which consists of a black top hat with a red band and a gold button-like decoration, a red bowtie around his neck, and a set of black trousers which are held by black suspenders over his shoulders. Husk is a grumpy, lazy, and somewhat apathetic old sinner whose interests in Hell now lie mostly in gambling, parlor tricks, and prolific drinking, He can be gruff, standoffish, sarcastic, has a propensity to swear, and has a dry sense of humor. Despite this, he is also surprisingly patient and able to take a lot of outlandish events in his stride, electing to just drink his problems away later. He is very observant, having the ability to read people and understand their problems well (even when they don't themselves), which makes him quick to notice when someone isn't being genuine with him, something he doesn't enjoy. He values authenticity and seems to understand himself and his own issues well too, openly accepting that his reliance on alcohol and gambling hasn't helped him feel better. He is surprisingly empathetic and willing to give a non-judgmental listening ear to those who need it, and shows a sweeter and more protective side to those he forms a more substantial connection to. However, he is also somewhat insensitive as he points out sensitive things about other people, like when he bluntly shares the flaws of Charlie, Vaggie, and Sir Pentious. Vox is a tall and slim-figured, technology-themed demon who stands at approximately 7 feet.[7] He sports a flat-screen television for a head, with the monitor projecting eyes with red sclera, small cyan pupils and different-colored outlines - black for his right and cyan for his left. While using his hypnosis powers or simply becomes enraged, his left eye gains a black spiral and the pupil becomes a cyan electric symbol, Ans a plump fat ass and plush thighs. The screen also shows a mouth full of sharp, cyan-colored teeth and a long pointed cyan colored tongue. Sometimes what looks like blood seems to drip out of his mouth. He has dark navy-blue skin with sharp, cyan claw-like fingers, and also has what appears to be three shark-like gills on the sides of his body.[8]

Vox wears a navy-blue tuxedo with the jacket sporting coattails, red-trimmed cyan lapels, thin cyan stripes and cyan lining, worn over a red-and-black-striped waistcoat which itself is worn over a collared bluish-white shirt with an upside-down broadcast symbol and a rather large, red bowtie. He also wears heeled dark gray dress shoes with cyan-colored laces, toes, and tips on the heels. He also wears a small black top hat on his head, with red and blue designs reminiscent of a broadcast symbol and radio wave symbol, respectively. He has TV antenna that stick out the top of his hat, the left one bent into a zigzag. Vox is an egotistical, charismatic, and manipulative showman of an Overlord who craves attention.[9] To the public, Vox presents himself as a legitimate businessman of VoxTek Enterprises, giving the facade of a man of the people to the denizens of Hell, when in truth, he is power-hungry, and he manipulates their minds to boost his reputation. He is highly intelligent and technology-savvy, and he is always keeping up with the latest trends and technology.[10] He seems to be able to hide his less desirable side in public and even in private unless he's pushed too far. Despite his egocentric nature, Vox is loyal to the interests of his fellow Overlords, the Vees, and seeks to maintain their collective image of power. As the most level-headed member of the Vees, Vox often acts as the de facto leader. Claiming the Vees' brand to be "perfection", he is often frustrated or outright angered if someone can jeopardize it. Cherri is a very slim and white-skinned cyclops demon with an hourglass figure, and a singular eye which has an X-shaped light yellow pupil and a sunkist coral-colored sclera. She sports freckle-like spots on her skin and long, strawberry blonde-pink hair with platinum blonde accents, kept in a high half-ponytail by a black ponytail-holder, With a plump ass and plush thighs. Her mouth features black lips and sharp pale yellow teeth inside, and she has several coral designs of bombs, explosions, and swirled-lines tattooed on her right arm. Cherri wears a one-shouldered black bra under a similarly-designed, pinkish-red torn crop-top with four white spots around the black X located on the left, and a set of severely ripped black leggings under a torn miniskirt that sported the same color and style as her top. She also wears shoes that are both colored in a pinkish-red but differing in type; on her right is a pointed flat shoe, while on her left is a heeled cowboy-like boot with a multi-pointed off-white star on it. She also has two different sets of fingerless coral-colored gloves; a regular-length glove on her right hand, and an elbow-length, black-trimmed glove on her left hand. Cherri is shown to be daring, bold, and determined. She is self-confident and constantly smiles broadly, taking pleasure in committing arson and other various crimes. She is friendly, charismatic and fun-loving, often enjoying going out partying and living without stressing herself, believing she should have fun and not concern themselves with her life, to the point of taking drugs and even having sex with complete strangers. When Emily is In her humanoid form, Emily takes the appearance of a slim young woman with silver-like skin, black lips, and mid-thigh-length hair with bangs styled in a somewhat messy way, colored in a gradient of periwinkle with noticeable white tips. Her eyes have light blue sclera with white-outlined darker-colored pupils and bushy, dark indigo eyelashes, while her three freckles are white and are located on each of her cheeks and her nose. She also has six white feathered wings on her back, and a light blue halo decorated with small, tiara-like spikes hovering above her head.Emily is excitable, bubbly, sweet, friendly and kind to almost everyone around her. She does not discriminate others based on mistakes or who they are, where she excitedly greeted Charlie and welcomed her to Heaven, despite her being a demon. She compliments Sera in personality, with Sera the most serious and Emily the more bubbly. Working alongside Sera, her job is to preserve the happiness and joy of the human souls that ascend to Heaven. Emily wears princess-inspired clothing which consists of a light periwinkle gown with a darker-colored stripe around the high-frilled collar, darker-colored trimming and details on the short light blue puffed sleeves, a darker-blue star-pattern on the chest, and darker-blue triangular-like patterns on the hem with small diamond shaped between the mounds. In addition, she accessorizes with a light blue sash worn around her waist, and wears a pair of white tights underneath and a plump plush ass and plump thighs. She also wears a set of fingerless, periwinkle-gray opera gloves which covers most of her arms, which appears to be skin-tight and act as long sleeves for her dress. For footwear, she wore blue ballerina-like shoe

Emily also holds a great amount of sympathy towards human souls and sees them all as equal, much like Charlie, as she is disgusted and horrified upon learning about the Extermination. She is also shown to engage deeply in the things that she believes in. Lilith is a tall humanoid demoness with an hourglass figure, and very pale-pink skin. Her height is noticeable as it exceeds both her husband and daughter - standing over 6-and-a-half feet tall. She is seen wearing makeup which consists of sparkling plum eyeshadow and dark magenta lipstick. Her eyes appear to have light violet irises, very pale yellow sclera, slit pupils, and long thick eyelashes. Her long calf-length hair is blonde with thick honey-colored streaks, and it perpetually flows in the air, even when she isn't moving. Lilith is seen with a pair of large, magenta-colored curled horns, which noticeably differ depending on the scenario, due to her having the ability to change the shape of her horns at will as well as having a plump ass and plush thighs. Niffty is a small, cyclops demon with pointed limbs, white skin, and one large eye. Her eye sports a light yellow iris, thick eyelashes, a hot-pink sclera with a yellow gradient, and a large pie eye-cut pupil. When feeling homicidal, her pupil shrinks and her eye gains black veins, as she also has a plump ass and plush thighs. Her short red-pink hair is kept into a slightly messy 1950s bob cut with a curl on each side, and a single light yellow streak located at the top. Her mouth has sharp light pale yellow teeth inside and black lips, and small hot-pink dots on each of the corners. Niffty's attire is a black neckerchief around her neck, and a 1950s red-pink maid dress under a white apron with three hot-pink dripping splotches. She also wears long black gloves which covers most of her hands and arms, along with matching-colored tights. Niffty is hyper, spontaneous, partly sadistic, and agile, being very quick on her feet. She is easily entertained, easily distracted, and easily excitable. She dislikes when there is a mess in any room, and has a fixation on men in general. However, she appears to only like "bad boys", including a brief obsession with Sir Pentious. This ends in her kicking him in frustration after he apologizes and decides to seek redemption at the Hotel. She isn't afraid to get dirty, and enjoys cleaning everyone's messes with a gleeful, yet creepy charm. Rosie is a very tall and slender humanoid demoness who stands taller than Alastor, with wide womanly plump hips, and a fat plush ass, pale gray skin, and a mouth with black lips and sharp light pink teeth. She also has dusty-pink cheeks, short white-and-gray hair in a 1910s bob cut with pink streaks, and like all residents of Cannibal Town, her eyes are pitch-black with no irises or pupils and displays no physical evidence of having a nose. Rosie's clothing suggests high-class fashion of the 1910s era, which consists of a large, pimped-out sun hat that is colored in a shade of maroon, with two skulls that are colored in a grayish-pink and red-pink, three dark burgundy flower-like decorations located at the brim, and large plumes which are black and pink-red respectively. In addition, her hat also includes pink frilled-trim around it, along with black lining inside. She wears a long-sleeved pale-maroon and pale-burgundy long dress which includes puffed shoulders, thin pale-maroon swirly-like stripes on the high black collar, black-trimming around the waist and on the long sleeves' ruffled cuffs, and three black stripes and black trim located on the hem. Under her dress, she wears a pair of black kitten heels. Rosie appears as a very capable, articulate, and friendly demon[2] with a sense of elegance[note 1] and vintage flair to her. She enjoys old-fashioned things, such as old-fashioned music and fashion of the 1910s. Sera when In her humanoid form, Sera takes the appearance of a very tall and slim woman with cedar-brown skin, black lips, white freckles, and a white streak going down her nose. She also has hip-length, curled hair colored in a silver-like ombre, as well as having plump womanly hips and huge fat ass and plump thighs. Her eyes have white irises, blue-gray sclera, dark purple pupils, and dark purple thick eyelashes projecting from them. Atop her lashes are a pair of longer, holographic-like lashes, which are colored in a slightly paler shade of dark purple. Her eyelids are colored like her holographic-like lashes. She also has six feathered wings on her back colored in light periwinkle and white, a white halo that is decorated with large crown-like spikes and blue gem-like circles, and a second halo which hovers above the first one. Sera wears queen-inspired clothing which consists of a two-layered, periwinkle-gray gown with a high-frilled light periwinkle collar, white and periwinkle-gray bouffant sleeves with white detailing, along with most of the bottom and hem colored in a light periwinkle and white with diamond designs around them. Due to her peaceful nature, Sera greatly disapproves of Adam's juvenile and spiteful tendencies and the more violent and bloodthirsty of Exorcists, such as Lute, This is shown when Sera disapproves of Adam's behavior. Sera comes across as a kind, level-headed person who is caring toward those she interacts with and welcoming to even demons such as Charlie and Vaggie. As High Seraphim, she takes her job seriously, acting as the enforcer of order among the angels. This extends to her abiding civil behavior, as she seems upset when Charlie loudly curses in the court. She holds a preference for negotiation over violence when it comes to conflict, such as when she is willing to hear Charlie out on her plan to resolve the overpopulation crisis in Hell. Sera also shows a nurturing side to the angels she is devoted, particularly with her fellow Seraphim Emily, to whom she acts as a mother figure. St. Peter is a pale-skinned slim angel with curled, short pale-blonde hair, turquoise eyes with no pupils, and sharp-styled eyebrows colored royal blue. As an angel, he sports a white halo above his head, and a pair of large feathered wings on his back which are celeste blue and cream-colored, white a plump ass and plush thighs. He wears a light blue vest over a pale yellow shirt with the long sleeves sporting dull golden cuffs, and a light blue skirt with dull golden detailing that forms into a cross at the hem over a high-collared. He also wears a pastel red bowtie, and for footwear, he wears dull golden flats. St. Peter appears to be a friendly person overall. He is welcoming to newcomers and visitors, even if they're demons. He is somewhat flirty, enjoying the company of attractive people, especially a muscular female angel. He may be a little absent-minded or he just doesn't pay much close attention to some things. Adam was an angel with a human appearance. Most of the time, he wore a mask that appeared similar to other Exorcists, though with normal-looking eyes and golden facial expressions. The mask also held a pair of horns similar to an Exorcist, albeit longer, smoother, and with a golden ornamental attachment on the tips. Under his mask, he is revealed to be a fair-skinned angel with golden-yellow eyes that have dark bags underneath, a stubble-beard on his chin, and slightly messy, short cedar-brown colored hair, and plump thighs and fat ass. He also had a pair of large and golden wings on his back. In contrast to other angels that have appeared thus far, Adam's halo was bright gold in appearance, and similar to the Exorcists, has two spikes pointing up and down from each other, though these spikes are located at the front of his halo. He wore a white and golden cloak that appears to have a large 'A' symbol emblazoned on the front, and had gold-tipped spikes on the back of his collar. His visible hands were black in appearance. Adam appeared very egotistical and unsympathetic. As the leader of his Exorcist army, he took his stance as the Exorcists' head figure very seriously, sending antagonistic threats towards demons and anyone for standing in their way or whoever disobeyed his command, as he did so with Vaggie for refusing to kill a Sinner, cutting her wings, and leaving her in Hell. He also displayed traits of extreme narcissism and chauvinism, believing himself the perfect man due to being the first and claiming he had never made a mistake in his life, since he was the first man to be born on Earth, and he claimed that all the male bloodline came from him and brag about how big and great his dick is. His narcissism was so great that, upon his defeat, he refused to admit how far he had fallen and expressed a god-like complex by proclaiming his enemies should be grateful for him having fathered the beginning of humanity while demanding they worship him for his deeds. Adam did not appear to be aware that his egotistical and depraved behavior towards Lilith was the cause of her leaving him. Valentino is a tall, slender, somewhat muscular and broad-shouldered moth demon with lavender skin and lacking pupils and irises in his cerise-pink eyes, over which he is always depicted wearing gold-rimmed, heart-shaped sunglasses with cerise lenses, which he also has a plump plush ass and thighs. His mouth is full of sharp, cerise teeth with a single golden fang that sits to his far left of center, a feature he shares with some of his employees like Angel Dust. He also has a long cerise tongue. Valentino's stature is tall, estimated to be around 10 feet,[note 3] which he emphasizes with long black heeled boots. He has fluffy white neck fur with small red love-hearts that plumes up from his coat's break-line. He is bald[note 4] with moth-like antennae; the right appearing like a large white with black heart-striped feather while the left appears smaller and lacking the white areas. He has an extra set of arms just above his hips. His hands and forearms are black, mimicking black gloves, while the upper halves are his normal skin color. He has a pair of large red moth wings that features zebra print fur outlining the edges, while the interior is darker colored with several heart designs. These wings are usually wrapped around his body to form a floor-length coat with white fur at the wrists, as well as black-and-white-striped fur trim down the center-front to the bottom hem, and three white stripes on both hips with a heart shaped design on the back. This coat is pinned with a gold chain and gold love-heart shaped broach fastening at the breast. He also has heart-shaped nipples colored in a darker shade of his skin tone, with gold piercings and a chain hung from them. Valentino wears a red top hat with a wide, asymmetrical zebra-printed hat-band, in which his antennae poke out like feathers. Under his coat, he wears a chest-exposing dark grey shirt with rolled-up sleeves that are held together by two gold buttons, alongside white dress pants held by a black belt with a golden love-heart shaped buckle, and a pair of high-heeled black boots. He wears a gold chain necklace hung down to his chest, gold arm bands on his lower wrists, each hand having one gold ring, and sometimes gold nail guards on his fingers. Valentino has been described as being charming[note 6] and roughly as level-headed as his fellow Overlord, Vox.[note 7] When he interacts with Charlie in his studio he acts cordial around her while struggling to hide his anger and irritation that he would prefer to take out on one of his employees instead, such as Angel Dust. He does, eventually, show off his real behavior after some time. Valentino uses his charming persona in order to lure other demons into working for him, as shown in "Welcome to Heaven" where Valentino admitted spending much of his time in nightclubs, picking up demons and offering them "jobs" at his studios, with him hiding his more violent and psychotic behavior in order to convince them to willingly "work" for him. Valentino is depicted as being controlling, abusive, and narcissistic, specifically towards one of his star employees, Angel Dust.[5][6] He also displays sadistic tendencies, appearing to take enjoyment in overriding Angel's consent, and remains seemingly unbothered by the trauma he is inflicting. Sir Pentious has a snake-like appearance with a body color predominantly in charcoal grey. His eyes had cerise sclera with black pupils, and a mouth with sharp yellow teeth, two of which were long snake-like fangs, and a plump fat ass and plush thighs. His tail was black with thick yellow stripes featuring numerous cerise eyes running down the length of it. He had a black cobra hood with its front colored yellow with black corners and four cerise eye patterns spread across the center. Sir Pentious wore a jacket in a matching charcoal grey to his skin, pinstriped with yellow, and a black bow tie with a single cerise eye in the center. Beneath the jacket was a long-sleeved orange-yellow undershirt. He also wore black fingerless gloves with yellow dots on each knuckle and had sharp cerise claws. He accessorized with a large top hat in charcoal grey, which had a sizeable cerise eye in the center of it, as well as many sharp yellow teeth and a pair of goggles. The top hat blinked and changed expressions in unison with Sir Pentious. Sir Pentious is bombastic, flamboyant, short-tempered, temperamental and persistent, and his personality seems to take cues from the classic "mustache-twirling" stock villains. He takes tremendous pride in his grandiose ideas of how evil and cunning he is, and at one point even openly declares "I'm so evil!"

He uses his mechanical genius to build weapons, such as a cannon and his airship. However, he is more than capable of showing remorse and has a sense of honor. He demonstrates this when he accepts his defeat and "inevitable death" at the hands of the Hotel staff after being reprimanded by Vox for failing. When Charlie forgives him, he is grateful and fully joins in his redemptive effort. At first, however, he had trust issues since he felt like everybody being nice to him in the hotel was an act to get him. Additionally, he is enthusiastic about Charlie and Vaggie's activities, more so than Angel Dust, even if it began as an act. According to Husk, Sir Pentious is a lonely jester who likes to watch others while they sleep. He strives to be hip and cool.[7] As Angel Dust noted, Sir Pentious is oblivious to sexual innuendos and tends to take things he is told very literally. He is emotionally attached to Egg Boiz and breaks down crying because Vaggie forced him to get rid of them. Humorously, the moment he retrieves them, he briefly expresses his relief and then orders them to make his bed. When it comes to Egg Boiz from him, he is used to the fact that they have always said "random nonsense" all the time. Velvette is a slim and petite humanoid demoness with cedar-brown skin, and long curly hair kept into pigtails with bangs by black hair ties. Her hair is colored in a desire-red that features the insides colored in a faded dark navy-blue, and white swirled-streaks on her pigtails and one on her bangs. Her eyes have white irises, red sclera and slit pupils, and her makeup consists of burgundy eyeshadow on her eyelids, and black lipstick on her lips with a strip across the center of her mouth, which has fangs inside. She has seams on several parts of her body such as her elbow and knee joints.[5]

Velvette's clothing is that of a set of skull earrings, and a sleeveless dark navy-blue coat with burgundy lining and two desire hearts on the left side of the fur collar (similar to the ones on Valentino's). Her coat is usually worn over a sleeveless, black turtleneck crop-top that includes two desire hearts on the chest. Her loose pants are colored in navy-blue and desire-red in a striped pattern, held by a dark navy belt with a white heart-shaped buckle. For footwear, she wore navy low-heeled flats with white pom-poms on top. Velvette accessorized with black-striped fingerless opera gloves with alternating colors - white for her right glove and desire for her left. Velvette is the energetic, stylish and trendy type who is always up-to-date with the latest trends and technology. This is one of the main reasons why she and Vox get along quite well with each other.[6] Faustisse has also described her as being a very crazy person.[note 1]

She is critical and judgemental when it comes to fashion. Velvette is also observant, such as when she notices Carmilla's expression after she pulled out the severed Exorcist's head, and suspected her to be responsible, in which confirmed her suspicions later. She is shown to be a disrespectful and overbearing employer, insulting and demeaning her employees (who are justifiably afraid of her) while barking orders at them. Charlie is a tall and slim-built white-skinned hellborn demon, with thick plump thighs, plump 50 inch thighs, wide plump 67 inch hips, and massive plump 80 inch heart-shaped buttcheeks, and massive breast. standing at over 6 foot,[15] around 6 and a half feet tall.[16] She has long, ankle-length blonde hair with thin light coral streaks on the paler-blonde highlights, which is usually tied into a twice-banded low-ponytail by two black hair ties. Her hair also features bangs that are flipped to the left side and ends with a curl.

Her eyes sport light yellow sclera and red irises, and have thick eyelashes and gray eyelids. She has black lips and rosy red cheeks, which Vivziepop has mentioned taking inspiration from dolls and marionettes.[17] Charlie features animal-like traits, such as red-toed hooves,[18][19] fangs in her mouth, and a short snout with a black animal-like nose.[17] Her fingernails are black and pointed.

Charlie wears a red tuxedo-jacket with darker red lapels and a small white tag located on the left side. She wears this over an untucked, long-sleeved, high-collared white dress-shirt that has two black buttons and dark red cuffs, worn with black suspenders and a small black bowtie. Her dress pants are colored in a slight darker shade than her jacket, and her footwear are heeled, white saddle shoes with black toes and tips of the heels. Full Demon

When in her full demon form, a pair of dark maroon horns protrude from her head, and her eyes change to have red sclera with white irises and slit pupils; thin black streaks also appear across each eye. Her eyelashes become much longer and thicker, resembling butterfly wings.

Her fingers turn mostly black and become sharp and claw-like. She also gains a long black demonic tail with spikes and a triangular tip with a red heart on the center.

In order to block Adam's punch, Charlie's arm became large, dark red and demonic with light red markings and longer black fingers.

Pilot

In the pilot, Charlie's hair was instead kept into a low-loose ponytail, her cheeks were a paler shade of red, and her eyes sported black pupils.

Her jacket instead was a pale red with black lapels, her dress-shirt included black cuffs, and her pants were black with pale red cuffs and two light yellow buttons located at the waist.

Personality

Charlie is compassionate and empathetic to a fault, feeling genuinely upset at the idea of harm coming to others.

Although she isn't unaware that Hell is populated with souls that have committed egregious acts in their living lives, she still views their yearly extermination as a senseless waste and makes it her personal mission to help them avoid it via self-betterment and eventual redemption, something she is seemingly alone in believing is possible.

Charlie's idealism, while setting her apart from many of her hellborn peers, can also make her naïve to many of the harsh realities that appear to stand in the way of her potential success - something her girlfriend, Vaggie, tries to remind her of, only to be cheerfully ignored in favor of a more blinkered, sunny optimism.

This can also cause her to rush headlong into the initial stages of her plans without much preparation (her prompt list before her big news appearance reading only "unicorn kisses, dolphin high fives, sing showtunes = happy ending?"). Another insurance is in "Masquerade", when she wanted to talk to Valentino about cutting Angel's work hours only to cause distraction and accidentally caused a fire on set.

Charlie has a love for musical theatre, song and dance, and will often convey her emotions and ideas through showtunes and ballads. She appears to take perceived failures hard, as she believes her heartfelt theatrical passion should be enough to bring people over to her way of thinking, and is disheartened when it's not as simple as she imagines. She openly admits during a dejected voicemail to her mother that she doesn't actually know what she is doing, or how to make her plan for reforming sinners work in practice.

Despite being sweet and lacking "street-smarts", this doesn't make Charlie a pushover or stupid. When people insult her or openly mock her ideals and plans, she has no hesitation in standing up for herself, or even rolling up her sleeves to physically fight back. When she witnessed Valentino abusing Angel, Charlie got furious to the point of turning into her demon form, but was stopped by Angel. Swearing is also something that's generally not part of her vocabulary and she doesn't cuss all the time,[20] but she is not above letting a few cuss words slip.

Charlie also displays some grounding in her idealism, understanding that not all demons can be redeemed, or even likely to change for the better. She displays sensible hesitation when confronted with an ambiguous deal from Alastor, the notorious Radio Demon, refusing the shake his hand and using her status to make demands of him (albeit with some sheepishness). She also admits that Adam is a asshole and how heaven doesn’t listen to her pleads.

Charlie is also a believer of second chances and mercy. Like in "Radio Killed the Video Star" when she found out that Sir Pentious was acting as a spy for the Vees, Charlie was the only one willing to give him a second chance when he was caught and regretful for what he had done. In "The Show Must Go On", despite hating Adam, especially after he vaporized Sir Pentious, Charlie was willing to give him mercy when Lucifer was beating him and about to hit him with a fireball. Immortality - As demonic royalty, and as mentioned by Adam in "The Show Must Go On", Charlie is biologically immortal, presumably being able to live for a long period of time and only able to be killed by angelic weaponry. Oldcharlie The original character, Charlie Charlie was created during Vivziepop's time at the School of Visual Arts college,[23] and was one of the later additions to the main cast of demon misfits.

In very early proto-drafts of what would eventually become Hazbin Hotel, a red, very steampunk themed character named Charlie was created to act as a kind of "den-mother" to the demon gang that would eventually go on to become the main cast of Hazbin Hotel. The character featured an arm of molten lava that could change into various things.

Vivziepop considers this version of Charlie to be an entirely distinct entity, with a completely disparate design and personality from her current iteration. She was also not the daughter of Lucifer; she was a mortal soul, who was planned to have died in the 1830s.[24]

However, Vivziepop liked the name "Charlie" so much that she transferred it to the new character that now features as the protagonist of the current version of Hazbin Hotel, a character who then changed very little once she entered the cast.[25] Trivia

Charlie is the only character in the main cast who is a native hellborn demon, and therefore, not having been previously human. Demonic Charlie Charlie's demon form shines through When asked if Charlie has a true and full-fledged demon form, or if it only appears when she's extremely angry, Vivziepop said that she does, but would not elaborate further.[9] Charlie has been stated to be "a tall girl" and is taller than her father, Lucifer. Not by a large amount, but still notable, with Charlie standing at around 6 feet, or over.[15][26] In a Q&A on January 31, 2024, Vivziepop stated that she is 6 and a half feet tall.[16] Charlie's design is inspired by Vaudeville-style porcelain dolls, puppets, marionette-type things, and to a lesser extent goats. Vivziepop described Charlie's nose as being like a lamb or puppy dog, that looks very animal-like from the side, even though her character is mostly humanoid/marionette.[17] On December 15, 2023, Vivziepop explained that Charlie is not a goat but does have hooves,[18] saying because "the devil",[19] and added that she was going for a Satyr vibe because Satyr legs have been associated with demons for a long time.[27] Her hooves are first shown in the episode "Hello Rosie!". Despite canonically having hooves, Charlie has been depicted with human-like feet in numerous official Shark Robot Hazbin Hotel merchandise. According to the "Clocktower Countdown to Premiere" livestream, Charlie's demeanor was heavily inspired by Leslie Knope from Parks and Rec.[28] Charlie's lips are naturally black.[29] Charlie apparently does not have human shaped ears.[30] Charlie was confirmed to be bisexual by Vivziepop, who tweeted a doodle she had done for National Coming Out Day featuring Charlie with a bisexual heart.[5] She later tweeted a picture for Bi Pride Day, which featured both Charlie and Moxxie holding bisexual flags.[6] Charlie has an ex-boyfriend, Seviathan von Eldritch. She dated him during her hell school years, and he is depicted as taking her to the prom in one of Vivziepop's illustrations of the two.[31] He is Helsa's brother, as seen in their family portraits in the background of the hotel. Vaggie as Sally × Charlie as Jack Skellington Charlie and Vaggie as Jack and Sally Vivziepop has confirmed that Charlie and Vaggie are indeed a canon couple.[32] She compares Charlie and Vaggie's relationship to that of Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas.[33] Vivziepop stated that Charlie and Vaggie have known each other for "a very long time".[34] When asked who she thinks fell for the other first (Charlie or Vaggie), Vivziepop stated that she thinks they were really good friends for a while, and it was "kind of a natural progression for them", so she doesn't really know who was in love first, thinking it was a more mutual feeling that developed between them. She also thinks that their becoming a couple happened a fairly long time prior to the events of the Hazbin Hotel pilot, and even before some events that she had planned to occur before the pilot.[35] When asked what kind of things Charlie and Vaggie were doing before opening the hotel, Vivziepop declined to answer, mentioning she would actually love to explore this within the official comics.[36] According to Vivziepop, Charlie sees something magical in the idea of being human. She sees it as a kind of incubation stage where they have the choice whether they go to hell or heaven. She has a very fantastical idea of what humanity is, as far as its flaws are concerned, and she likes humans, despite never having ever seen one.[37] Vivziepop stated that Charlie would like books that have happy endings and strong characters, specifically young adult adventure books.[4] Teenager (Charlie and Crymini) Charlie attempts to encourage a future hotel resident Vivziepop talked about how Charlie's attitude towards the patients of the hotel is to treat them "kind of like children". That she views them as similar to wayward teens who need righting and disciplining, and that her view of the situation is immature. Charlie doesn't take the patients' issues seriously enough, and characters that should be in therapy would simply be given a time-out. Vivziepop said that her answer to Angel's bad behavior would be to try and send him to his room.[38] Despite Charlie's position as royalty in Hell, nobody within the sinner area of Hell respects her or her family. Dave Capdevielle explains this as there being a lack of consequences or incentive for sinners to show anyone respect, describing their view of Charlie as being like "a Disney princess". Vivziepop agrees with this assessment, adding that the royals theoretically should be respected, but that they're ruling over a group of people who don't currently respect authority, and probably didn't respect authority when they were alive, combined with Charlie being a completely unintimidating person.[39] Charlie isn't the most mindful of her position on a day-to-day basis and is far too trusting of everyone, causing Vaggie to have to be more on guard for her.[40] Charlie is said to take very much after her dad.[41] Despite her youthful appearance, it appears that Charlie's age is a matter of question. Although Vivziepop thinks that Charlie does celebrate birthdays with the standard kind of party, she is still unsure of how demon years and time work for someone like Charlie.[42] In a later stream, Vivziepop stated that demons age in "hell years".[43] This may hint that Charlie's biological aging is different from how humans age, although it is unknown if hell years are similar in length to Earth years. In one of the Hazbin Hotel pilot teasers, a portrait of the Magne family taken in the year 1871[44] hints that Charlie is decades older than she appears. Although this detail is omitted in the final version of the pilot, Faustisse has corroborated that Charlie is over 200 years old.[note 1] According to Faustisse, both Charlie and her mother, alongside Alastor, are fans of pineapple on pizza.[note 2] According to Dave Capdevielle, if he were to describe Charlie with a My Chemical Romance song, it would be "Sing".[45] Charlie doll in Too Loud Charlie doll in Too Loud Charlie makes a cameo in an episode of Too Loud as a small doll.[46] According to Vivziepop, this is the first Hazbin Hotel easter egg.[47] A bootleg plush of Charlie can be seen on Emberlynn's shelf in the Helluva Boss short "Mission: Weeaboo-boo". For her audition as Charlie, Erika Henningsen performed the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow from the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz.[50] Development

The character of Charlie was created as one of Vivziepop's characters during her time at the School of Visual Arts.[51] In the Hazbin Hotel pilot, Charlie's family name was "Magne". A new last name, or possibly suffix name, for Charlie was announced on February 22, 2022, as "Morningstar".[1] This is likely a reference to her father, Lucifer, whose name is translated as "shining one" or "morning star" by many Biblical scholars. Charlie's name in the pilot seems to have been a pun on "Charlemagne", the King of the Franks and the first Holy Roman Emperor, and a play on the translation of "The Great". The hotel's (managed by Charlie and Vaggie) now-archived Voxtagram account username "@hotel_magnement" is a pun on the word "hotel management" combined with the former's then-surname, Magne. In a stream, Faustisse believed that both Charlie and her father have the ability to summon wings and are capable of flight.[note 3] This has been showcased by Lucifer but is yet to be seen from Charlie in the series.

The Hazbin Hotel, formerly known as the Happy Hotel, is a hotel run by Charlie Morningstar for clients who are undergoing rehabilitation to stay at. It is located in Pentagram City within the Pride Ring of Hell.[2]

Description

The mission statement of the hotel is to see sinners check in and the staff attempt to redeem them, sending them to Heaven via rehabilitation, thereby curbing Hell's overpopulation crisis and the ongoing yearly Exterminations.

The hotel suffers ongoing mockery and criticism from most of Hell's denizens, most notably the 666 News anchor Katie Killjoy, who deems the idea of reforming demons laughable. History

The Hazbin Hotel was previously owned by the royal family before being abandoned for unknown reasons. The hotel formerly may have served as a mansion of sorts while it was owned and inhabited by the family prior to its transformation into a hotel, as suggested by the prevalence of pictures of Charlie, family, and friends on the walls of the establishment.

At some point prior to the events of the Dirty Healings comic and pilot, Charlie assumed ownership of the structure and began to repurpose it towards being a hotel aimed at redeeming sinners. Charlie was subsequently successful in enticing a single sinner, Angel Dust, to inhabit the hotel as its first client, albeit being done under financial incentive.

In the Hazbin Hotel pilot following a disastrous interview with 666 News, Alastor approached the hotel and offered his services as a business partner to promote the hotel, though only with the intention of watching sinners try and fail to redeem themselves. Charlie accepts this offer, as she welcomes any and all the help she could get. Alastor subsequently altered the name of the hotel from the "Happy Hotel" to the "Hazbin Hotel".

In "The Show Must Go On", the hotel was destroyed by Adam during the early Extermination. It was promptly rebuilt after the battle by the hotel group and Lucifer, who made the building much larger than before. Occupants

The Hazbin Hotel exterior was a tall, elaborate amalgamation of arched windows and turrets, one of which seems to be broken. In the pilot, the building's exterior suffered from being in a state of extreme disrepair and untidiness.

It appears to be at least seven stories tall, with at least five of which being guest floors. Remnants of an airship, an ocean liner, a sailing ship and a carousel litter both sides and appear to have been incorporated into the structure of the building itself; there is also a train with some tracks looping the first and second floor exterior. Located on the top right of the building is a small radio broadcasting room, used as the work area for Alastor.

Many signs are displayed outside the hotel: One atop the entrance reminiscent of the Hazbin Hotel logo, a large pink one atop the building with the hotel's name in lights, a neon 'HOTEL' sign at the bottom right and atop the building where Alastor's broadcast room is located, a small 'On-Air' sign is visible. Also located on the outer facade are various arrows pointing to the entrance and the broadcast room.

The entrance has a tented cover with a booth in the center reminiscent of a circus or theater ticket booth. On either side of the booth are a set of double doors that have stained glass; in the pilot, they depicted an apple on each one but were destroyed by an explosion due to Sir Pentious blowing up the doors with his airship.

At the end of the pilot, the sign name is changed from the "Happy Hotel" to "Hazbin Hotel" by Alastor.

Interior

The hotel's interior was shown to be in a state of disrepair, with wooden boards covering shattered windows, signs warning of asbestos, bloodied tools left lying around, and paintings are shown hanging off the walls. Much of the furniture in the lobby are strewn around haphazardly or remain boxed up in several large wooden crates. In the pilot, the building's interior suffered from being in a state of extreme disrepair and untidiness.

The bar uses skeletons, snakes, and bones as general themes, along with card suits and candles, and advertises itself as a casino. The area the bar in has glowing green wooden walls instead of the usual red wallpaper, with a "Jackpot" sign on the left wall and a Beelzejuice neon sign on the right wall. The word "concierge" can be presumed to be shown above the bar, and Alastor calls it the front desk when talking to Husk, suggesting that it is also the check-in counter.

Despite the shabby and poor condition of the hotel, the overall theme of the building remains ornate and regal, with stained glass windows, lavish furniture, and generous usage of gold. Like the rest of Hell, the hotel has a largely red color scheme. There are many apple, snake and circus motifs throughout the hotel's interior, in reference to the royal family, or more specifically, Lucifer Morningstar. Eyes are also a recurring theme throughout the building, appearing on the frame of almost every single painting and several vases and jars.

Charlie and Vaggie's room

The room the two women shared was rather large, with a regal look and a large bed, and has a window with a view of Pentagram City.

Angel Dust's room

In the ADDICT music video, Angel's room had striped wallpaper with spider patterns, a vanity, mirrors, a place to put his wigs, and a bed. In "Radio Killed the Video Star", his wallpaper lacks the spider patterns, and his bed has several pillows of various design, while beside it is a small bed for Fat Nuggets shaped like a pink heart with a small pillow on top, and with both beds on a single platform with neon lights. The wall behind the bed has photos of him, Cherri, and Fat Nuggets, as well as a couple of his film posters, while the bedside wall has neon lights shaped like webs.

In "The Show Must Go On", the door to his room is shown to have neon lights shaped like webs with hearts, and has three photos of him and his friends, and Fat Nuggets.

Alastor's room

Alastor's room has a mixture between both traditional décor and the fantastical, with one half being a classic "fancy study", complete with tasteful wallpaper and furnishings, the other half being a literal swamp conjured as a dining area.

Sir Pentious' room

Sir Pentious' room shares his airship's steampunk aesthetics of golden cogs and gears and a red and black color scheme. His bed is shown to be a circular mattress lined with pillows.

Both the Hotel redesign and the rebuilt Hotel main series designs were made by Sam Miller.[3][4] The top of the rebuilt Hotel bears slight similarity in shape to the head, cobra-hood, and hat of Sir Pentious, most likely meant to memorialize him. The prototype exterior of the hotel bears a striking resemblance to the Hotel Hightower located in the Tokyo DisneySea theme park resort in Urayasu, Japan. By extension, the style of architecture used for the hotel's facade is known as Moorish Revival while the roofing style is known as Queen Anne style, which carried over in more articulation to the working design of the hotel. The Hazbin Hotel may be similar to the idea of Purgatory in certain sects of Christianity, as both are methods of cleansing sin to bring dead souls to Heaven. During the scene while Niffty is cleaning the hotel, a clock similar to the "Conditional Immortality" clock from the webcomic, Homestuck, is shown. According to Sam Miller, the carpets of the hotel seen in the ADDICT music video have a pattern based on vintage circus tickets.[5] According to Alastor in the Hotel's first commercial he made in "Overture", the Hotel still does not have a working phone.
