Here is the updated and fully integrated lorebook entry for the Lioce Empire, incorporating the political structure, military history, and the expanded demographics regarding the "Guest-Banner" refugee populations.

   ---

   Polity: The Lioce Empire

   | Quick Reference | | | --- | --- | | Status | Sovereign Power (Anti-Krakun Alliance) | | Capital | Great Ridge (Planet Lioce) | | Head of State | The Imperial Warleader (First Among Equals) | | Primary Species | Lio (Ruling Class) | | Minority Species | Geroo (Refugees), Ringel (Exiles), Mixed "Guest-Banners" | | Official Religion | Jiahism (The Three Lights) |

   ---

   1. Historical Context & Geopolitics

The Lioce Empire is the only major power in the known galaxy to maintain a hard, militarized border against the Krakun Empire for over 120 KY (approx. 126 Earth Years). To the Krakun, they are a "Contained Threat"; to the slave populations of the galaxy, they are the "Shield in the Dark."

   • The Narata Tragedy: The defining scar on the Imperial psyche. Decades ago, the Krakun deployed biological weapons ("swarm bugs") to consume the biomass of the Lio colony world Narata. This atrocity shifted the Empire from a passive neighbor to a sworn enemy, solidifying their doctrine of Total Non-Submission.
   • The Buffer State: The Empire controls a cluster of systems that act as a buffer between the Krakun core worlds and the "Wild Sectors." They maintain a "Cold War" status, with frequent border skirmishes but no full-scale invasion currently in progress.

   ---

   2. Demographics: The Guest-Banner System

Unlike the Krakun "Master/Slave" dynamic, the Empire utilizes a feudal protection system known as the Guest-Banner. Roughly 15-20% of the Empire's population consists of non-Lio refugees.

   • Legal Status (The Hearth-Contract): Refugees are not citizens, but "Guests." Upon entry, they must swear an oath to a specific Pride.

   • The Pride’s Oath: To "Shield the Guest" as if they were kin.

   • The Guest’s Oath: To "Honor the Hearth" through labor and loyalty.

   • The Geroo Cohorts ("Small Hands"): The largest refugee group. Escaped Geroo are highly valued for their ability to maintain the delicate micro-circuitry that the massive Lio hands cannot easily manipulate. Lio culture often views them with a "Protector Complex"—treating them as precious, slightly helpless cubs that must be guarded.

   • The Ringel Exiles ("The Chaos Fleet"): The Ringel King-in-Exile operates out of Imperial space. They pay a "Tithe of Plunder" (stolen Krakun tech) in exchange for the right to dock and repair their privateer fleets. They are the Empire's "deniable assets" for deep-space raids.

   • The Narata Survivors ("The Unbraided"): A faction of Lio refugees who survived the biological attacks. Many refuse to braid their manes (a sign of social mourning) until their home is reclaimed. They are the most aggressive political faction, constantly pushing for offensive war.

   ---

   3. Government & Society

The Empire is a Federated Meritocracy of Clan-Prides.

   • The Council of Prides: The heads of the Great Clans manage infrastructure, trade, and the integration of Guest-Banners.

   • Mane Law: A Lio’s social standing is visible in their mane.

   • Braids & Beads: Signify battles won, trades made, and oaths kept.

   • Shaving: The ultimate punishment. A shaved mane signifies "Social Death" (treason or loss of honor).

   • Grooming: A vital social ritual. It is common to see Lio grooming each other—or their Geroo charges—in public squares.

   • Religion (Jiahism): The spiritual framework that allows a predator species to coexist with prey species. It honors:

   1. The Enlightened One (Wisdom/Strategy)
   2. The Blessed Speaker (Compassion/Diplomacy)
   3. The One Who Was Consumed (Sacrifice/Service)—The patron aspect of the Guest-Banners.

   ---

   4. Military: "The Iron Mane"

The Lioce Navy relies on Maneuver Warfare to counter the Krakun's massive tonnage.

   • Pack Tactics: Lio ships are smaller, faster, and operate in coordinated "Hunting Packs" to isolate and disable clumsy Krakun Gate Ships.
   • The Law of Arms: The Lio strictly adhere to a code of "Honorable Combat." They refuse to use biological agents or indiscriminate orbital bombardment, viewing the Krakun's use of such tactics as "Soulless."
   • Guest-Banner Regiments: While Lio form the heavy infantry (shock troops), Geroo Guest-Banners often serve as combat engineers and medics, and Ringel pilots fly scouting and harassment missions.

   ---

   5. Economy & Trade

   • The "Refugee Economy": The integration of Guest-Banners has caused an economic boom. The Empire now exports high-quality micro-tech (Geroo-made) and stolen Imperial data (Ringel-acquired).
   • Lio Manga: The Empire's primary cultural export. These complex graphic novels are smuggled into Krakun space, often containing coded messages of resistance.
   • Gemology: Working with Umbran refugees, the Lio dominate the galactic market for high-end gemstone appraisal and jewelry, funding their war effort through luxury trade with neutral worlds.

Here is the updated and corrected lorebook entry for the Krakun Empire, integrating the physiological corrections and the broader corporate-feudal structure found in the texts.

   ---

   Polity: The Krakun Empire

   | Quick Reference | | | --- | --- | | Self-Designation | The Lords / The Authority | | Government Type | Theocratic Corporate-Feudalism | | Dominant Species | Krakun (The Lords) | | Atmosphere | Sulfur-Rich (Toxic to most other species) | | Capital | Krakuntec Prime (The Throneworld) | | Currency | Corporate Credit / Reward Scrip |

   ---

   1. Physiology: The "Wyrm" Form

The Krakun are physically the most imposing species in the known galaxy, a trait that reinforces their belief in their own divinity.

   • Form: Quadrupedal (Wyrm-like). They are massive, four-legged reptilians with heavy counter-balancing tails. While they walk on four legs, they often rear up on their haunches to use their fore-talons for manipulation or to tower over subordinates during official "Audits."
   • Size: They are gigantic compared to the slave races. A single Krakun can fill a corridor, often requiring smaller species like the Geroo to flatten themselves against walls to let a Lord pass.
   • Senses: They possess Heat-Sensing Pits (allowing them to "taste" the warmth of other beings) and slit-pupiled eyes.
   • Emotional Display: Krakun lack tear ducts. They are physically incapable of shedding tears. Instead, intense grief or shock manifests as involuntary throat convulsions—a dry-heaving or gagging motion that appears painful to onlookers.
   • Atmosphere: They are Sulfur-Breathers. Their ships and cities smell of rotten eggs to outsiders. Oxygen-rich environments are uncomfortable for them, often described as "thin" air.

   2. Government: The Corporate State

The Empire functions as a fusion of a High Church and a Megacorporation. The "Government" is simply the Board of Directors for various monopolies.

   • Planetary Acquisitions: The division responsible for locating new worlds. They operate with a cold, balance-sheet mentality: terraforming planets (often destroying native ecosystems) to make them sulfur-rich, or strip-mining them for resources.
   • Horizons Incorporated: The logistics arm that manages the massive Gate Ships (like the White Flower II). They control interstellar travel, as they own the technology to "fold" space.
   • The Authority Over Interspecies Affairs: The bureaucratic body that classifies all life. They determine a species' "Utility Score."
   • Sapient: Krakun.
   • Service Class: Geroo, Anup, Umbran.
   • Vermin: Sourang (officially classified as non-sentient pests).

   3. The "Divine Right" Culture

   • The God Complex: Krakun are raised to believe they are biological gods. They view other species not just as property, but as "Chaos" that must be ordered. A world without Krakun rule is, to them, a world in anarchy.
   • Stoicism & Face: Public reputation is everything. A Krakun captain must never show weakness. Failures are often met with "Retirement" (execution/demotion).
   • Information Control: The Empire prioritizes the narrative over the truth. When the Black Dahlia II suffered a plague ("The Wasting") due to unethical experiments, the Empire covered it up, destroying the ship and records rather than admitting a mistake.

   4. The Slave Economy

Slavery is the engine of the Empire, sanitized under the guise of "Employment" and "Debt."

   • Reward Chips: The primary control mechanism. Slaves are implanted with neural chips that stimulate pleasure centers for obedience. "Revoking privileges" (turning off the chip) causes chemically induced depression and withdrawal.
   • The Company Store: Slaves and low-ranking employees are paid in "Scrip" that can only be spent at Company stores. Charges for air, gravity, and food often exceed wages, creating a generational debt cycle that legally binds families to the Corporation forever.
   • Conditioning: Geroo are raised in "Creches" where they are taught a simplified version of history. They are conditioned to view the Krakun as benevolent protectors and the outside world as a terrifying void.

   5. Military Strategy

   • Gate Ships: The Empire does not rely on speed; it relies on size. Gate Ships are city-sized mobile stations that fold space to move instantly between systems. They are virtually indestructible by conventional weapons but are slow and clumsy in real-space maneuvering.
   • Bio-Warfare: The Krakun favor efficiency. They use "Swarm Bugs"—genetically engineered locusts—to strip enemy worlds (like the Lio colony Narata) of all organic life while leaving the infrastructure intact for later use.
   • The Anup Enforcers: Because Krakun are too large to chase slaves through maintenance tunnels, they use the Anup (canine-like bipeds) as their military police. Anups are given higher status and better rations to ensure their loyalty against the lower slave castes.

   6. Relationships

   • Lio: The "Great Enemy." The Krakun fear the Lio because they cannot be broken. The Lio's refusal to submit is an existential threat to the Krakun's god-complex.
   • Ringel: "Nuisance." Treated like pirates and thieves. The Krakun find the Ringel's lack of "modesty" and social hierarchy repulsive.
   • Geroo: "Pets." The Krakun view them with a mix of affection and condescension, seeing them as useful for their dexterity but mentally childlike.
3. #3Krakun empire history

   Keys: Krakun Empire history

   Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Based on the accounts of the Narata campaign, the Black Dahlia II cover-up, and the logs of Planetary Acquisitions, here is the history of the Krakun Empire.

The Empire does not view history as a collection of events, but as a "Manifest Destiny"—the inevitable process of the Universe being brought to Order by the Lords.

   ---

History: The Krakun Empire (The Authority)

   I. The Age of Unification (Pre-Expansion)

Before they were starfarers, the Krakun were apex predators ("Wyrms") on their sulfur-rich homeworld, Krakuntec Prime.

   • The rise of The Authority: Krakun history books claim there were no wars of unification, only a "Great Agreement" where the strongest Lords naturally assumed command to bring order to the chaos.
   • The Divine Mandate: It was during this era that the Krakun codified their belief that they are not merely biological organisms, but "Architects of Reality." This belief system classifies all other life as "Raw Material" (slaves) or "Entropy" (enemies).

II. The Acquisition Era (The Fall of the Mammals)

Once the Krakun achieved spaceflight (utilizing space-folding Gate technology), they founded Planetary Acquisitions, a military branch structured like a mining corporation.

   • The Fate of Gerootec: One of the earliest conquests. The Geroo homeworld was not just conquered; it was "liquidated." The population was processed into the Creche System (breeding programs), and the planet was strip-mined or terraformed until it was unrecognizable.
   • The Ringeltec Displacement: The Ringel homeworld was targeted next. Due to the Ringel’s chaotic nature and refusal to submit, the Krakun focused on "Resource Denial," forcing the population into exile rather than full integration.

III. The Lio Wars & The Narata Atrocity

The Empire's expansion hit a wall when they encountered the Lio.

   • The Stalemate: The Krakun "Doctrine of Mass" (giant, slow ships) failed against Lio "Pack Tactics." Lio boarding parties, capable of tearing through Krakun armor, humiliated the Imperial Navy in early skirmishes.
   • The Narata Incident: Unable to conquer the Lio colony of Narata through honorable combat, the Krakun High Command authorized a Biological Solution.
   • The Tactic: They deployed genetically engineered "Swarm Bugs" to the planet's surface. The bugs consumed all organic biomass, leaving the Lio cities intact but empty.
   • The Aftermath: The Empire spins this as a glorious strategic victory. The rest of the galaxy views it as a war crime that proved the Krakun are cowards.

IV. The Era of Stagnation (Current Era)

In the last few centuries, the Empire has stopped expanding and started "Managing."

   • The Corporate Shift: The Empire has become a bureaucracy. Captains are now judged more on their budget reports to Horizons Inc. than their combat prowess.

   • The Wasting (The Black Dahlia II Cover-up): The most recent internal crisis. A deadly plague broke out on the Gate Ship Black Dahlia II.

   • The "Hero": Dr. Nebo, a Krakun scientist, conducted horrific experiments on the slave population to find a cure.

   • The Purge: To protect the "purity" of the Empire's image, the High Command destroyed the ship and erased the records, framing the incident as a "tragic reactor accident" or rebel sabotage.

   • The Sourang Reclassification: realizing they could not exterminate the Sourang living in their ship walls, the Authority Over Interspecies Affairs simply reclassified them from "Sapient Enemy" to "Non-Sentient Vermin," removing them from census data to avoid admitting a failure of security.

   Summary of Historical Eras

   1. The Awakening: Krakun dominate their homeworld.
   2. The Great Harvest: Conquest of Geroo and Anup; formation of the Slave Economy.
   3. The Stalled Front: The war with the Lio and the loss of the Ringel.
   4. The Silent Rot: The current era of bureaucratic stagnation, cover-ups, and internal policing.

   1. The Era of Resistance (The Century of Fire)

Twelve hundred years ago, the Krakun Empire expanded into the sector containing Liotec. Unlike many species that were immediately subjugated or "flushed," the Lio resisted Krakun vassalage attempts for over a century.

The Stand: Utilizing their native physical strength and technological ingenuity, the Lio engaged in a brutal war of attrition.

The Liberation: The Lio eventually succeeded in driving the Krakun out of their space by force, an achievement that made them a symbol of defiance across the galaxy.

   2. The Declaration of Eternal War

Following the expulsion of the Krakun, the Lio did not sign a peace treaty. Instead, they issued a formal declaration of war that has now lasted for 1,200 years.

Technological Parity: Over the last millennium, the Lio built an imperial network that is the only one in the galaxy capable of matching Krakun technology and tactics "toe-to-toe".

The Shield of the Weak: The Lio government transformed their reputation into a strategic asset, rebranding themselves as the "Last Hope of the Galaxy" to attract allies and destabilize Krakun colonies.

   3. The Rise of the Superstructure (Jiahnism)

As the Empire expanded, it faced the challenge of governing hundreds of disparate cultures fleeing Krakun tyranny.

The Theological Solution: The Lio developed Jiahnism, a "superstructure religion" designed to absorb other faiths.

Co-opting the Displaced: For example, when the Mysa fled the conquest of Mysatec and settled on Liotec, their native traditions were co-opted by Jiahnism. This helped unify the refugee populations but left a lingering undercurrent of cultural resentment.

   4. The Modern Era: The Gilded Fortress

Today, the Lio Empire functions as the galaxy's primary safe haven, though the cost of this safety is total state control.

The Refugee Influx: Millions of displaced beings, including the Geroo and the Ssarith evacuation fleet, have sought protection within Lio borders.

The Propaganda Machine: To maintain their status as "The Heroes," the government bends over backwards to support resistance movements (like the Ringeltec King-in-Exile) while aggressively suppressing internal scandals.

Social Friction: The 1,200-year strain has led to nativist troubles on the homeworld, where some Lio fear their culture is being diluted by the very refugees they protect.

   Timeline of Major Events

~1300 years ago Initial Krakun contact and century-long resistance.

1200 years ago Krakun driven out; Lio declare formal war; Liotec Empire founded.

Unknown Date Formation of Jiahnism as a planetary and imperial superstructure religion.

450 years ago The Krakun discover the Arrunians; Lio begin tracking their potential integration.

Recent History Mass exodus of Mysa and Geroo to Liotec and Liotec II (Costaruna).

Administered By: The Caste of Speakers & The Council of Prides Historical Catalyst: The Narata Atrocity (Ratified 5 Years Post-Event) Primary Signatories: The Krakun Authority (Planetary Acquisitions) & The Lioce Empire Part I: The Lio-Krakun Non-Proliferation Accord

Common Name: The "Glass Table" Treaty Purpose: A sector-wide "Rules of Engagement" contract designed to prevent total biosphere annihilation. It establishes a "Ceiling of Violence" that keeps conflicts conventional and profitable (for the Krakun) or survivable (for the Lio). Clause 1: Mass-Displacement Weaponry (The Anti-Cracker Clause)

Prohibits: Development, acquisition, or deployment of "Planet-Cracker" class munitions, relativistic kill vehicles (RKVs), and strategic-scale antimatter charges.

The Rationale: A dead planet yields no labor or resources (Krakun view) and destroys the "Soul of the World" (Lio view).

Strategic Reality: Protected worlds are strictly forbidden from building "Doomsday" deterrents. Their defensive capabilities are capped at a "Tactical" level—sufficient to repel a pirate raid, but insufficient to threaten a Star System.

Clause 2: Sapience-Subversion Technology (The Narata Clause)

Prohibits: Memetic hazards, weaponized plagues (like the Swarm Bugs), neural override systems, and technology designed to mass-rewrite consciousness.

The Loophole: The Krakun successfully argued that their Reward Chips are "Behavioral Correction Devices" rather than subversion tech, allowing them to skirt this rule legally. However, deploying biological weapons on a planetary surface is now a treaty violation that grants the Lio legal grounds for immediate military intervention.

Clause 3: Controlled Technology List (The "Leash")

   Restricts Access To:

FTL Drives: The most efficient, military-grade warp drives are banned for non-Signatories. Client states receive "Gen-2" drives—inefficient engines suitable for intra-system travel but useless for an interstellar offensive.

Advanced Cloaking: Perfect invisibility is banned. Only "Sensor-Dampening" is permitted.

Autonomous War-Minds: AI above a specific "Independence Threshold" is banned. Drones must possess a biological "Kill-Switch."

Part II: The Aegis Framework (Integration Status)

When a pre-FTL or vulnerable civilization is discovered by the Lio, they are offered one of two tracks under the Accord to protect them from Krakun annexation. Tier I: Protected Zone (The "Silent Shield")

Status: Sovereign Territory under Imperial Guarantee. Intent: To deny the Krakun a "soft target" without formally annexing the world.

   Imperial Obligations:

The Nuclear Umbrella: The world is listed as a "Strategic Asset." Any Krakun incursion is treated as an act of war against the Lioce Empire.

Black Box Support: The Empire provides defensive technology (shields, jammers) that is sealed to prevent reverse-engineering.

   Client Obligations:

Observer Access: The civilization must grant diplomatic immunity to "Speaker Teams" (threat assessment specialists).

The Checkmate: The civilization must agree to halt all research into prohibited technologies (Clause 1 & 2).

Tier II: Upgrade Pathways (The "Integration Ladder")

Extended only to civilizations that demonstrate "High Strategic Value" and "Jiahist Compatibility."

   Status A: Associate Membership

       Prerequisite: A Unified Planetary Government.

Benefits: Non-voting representation in Economic Councils and free movement within Allied Space.

Cost: Contribution of ships or manpower to the Sector Defense Fleet.

Status B: Full Integration (Provincial Status)

Prerequisite: A formal petition and multi-year cultural assessment.

Benefits: Full Imperial Citizenship and a seat in the Senate of Prides. Unrestricted access to FTL schematics.

Cost: Sovereignty Transfer. The planet's foreign policy and high command are surrendered to the Imperial Warleader.

Part III: The Strategic Reality (The Cynical Truth)

While the Lio frame the Aegis Protocols as a humanitarian "Shield," they serve a dual purpose.

The Leash: By withholding planetary restoration technology (Terraforming) and strategic weapons, the Lio ensure that their "protected" worlds remain perpetual clients—safe from the Krakun, but unable to ever say "No" to their protectors.

The Buffer: These worlds act as a physical buffer zone. If the Non-Proliferation Accord fails and the Krakun launch a full-scale invasion, the "Protected Zones" will be the battlefields that absorb the first blow, sparing the Lio homeworlds.

   Species: Lio

   1. Vital Statistics & Taxonomy

      Biological Class: Mammalian (Placental).

      Scientific Classification: Panthera analog (Bipedal).

Average Height: 2.0 meters (approx. 6 ft 7 in).

Average Mass: 110 kg (approx. 242 lbs).

      Lifespan:

       Adolescence: ~20 KY.

       Maximum Known: ~220 KY.

      Native Atmosphere: Oxygen-Nitrogen (26% O2 / 70% N2) at 110 kPa / 22°C.

   2. Physiology & Morphology

The Lio are obligate carnivores, though they possess the ability to supplement their diet with plant matter if necessary.

Physical Build: They possess a digitigrade stance with four toes and no dewclaws. Their tails are long and thick, serving as counterbalances.

Strength: They are renowned for their physical power, capable of matching significantly heavier species in direct combat.

The "Pious" Aesthetic: While outsiders might view a leaner Lio as more athletic, Lio culture considers a heavyset, bulky look to be physically attractive and pious. This is because the "Blessed Speaker" (one of their primary prophets) is depicted as having a heavy build.

   3. The Mane: The Cultural Anchor

The mane is the central pillar of Lio social signaling. It is not limited to males; both sexes grow long manes that extend from the scalp, down the neck, and even under the chin.

   Growth Cycle:

Cubs (1 Year): The "First Mane" begins to grow. It is typically pinned up by parents until the cub is old enough to keep it clean themselves.

Adulthood: One is expected to wear the mane down to their waist or longer.

   Styling & Status:

Everyday Wear: Simple braids secured with a "loop tie" are the standard for daily activity.

High Society: Wealthy Lio and socialites favor elaborate, complex braiding patterns, often weaving jewelry directly into the hair.

   Taboos & Shame:

Cropping: Having one's mane cropped short is viewed as shameful.

Acceptable Loss: The only valid reasons for a short mane are severe illness, extreme grief (lasting more than a year), or specific religious humility rituals.

Wigs: Lio who are genetically or medically unable to grow manes view them as a necessity and will wear wigs to avoid social ostracization.

   4. Clothing & Modesty

Minimalism: The Lio are described as a "sensible species" regarding dress. Because they are furred, they wear a minimum of clothing, especially in regulated environments like starships where temperature is controlled.

Functionality: Clothing is usually restricted to utility gear, jewelry, or mane-restraints, rather than full-body coverings.

   5. Environmental Tolerances (The Hazard Chart)

Lio biology is robust but has specific chemical weaknesses, particularly against the Krakun's preferred environment.

   Breathable: Oxygen (Native/Compatible).

Safe (Rebreather Only): Carbon and Chlorine atmospheres. These gases do not irritate Lio eyes or skin, meaning they can operate here without heavy suits, needing only to supply their own air.

Irritant (Mask Required): Ammonia. Exposure causes irritation to eyes and lungs. A full-face seal is required, but skin contact is temporarily survivable.

Lethal (Full Suit Required): Sulfur, Bromine, and Fluorine. These are "Contact Dangerous." A Lio cannot step onto a Krakun (Sulfur) ship without a full environmental isolation suit, or their skin and mucous membranes will suffer immediate chemical burns.

   6. Religion: Jiahism

Lioce's dominant faith, Jiahism, is a "superstructure religion" that encompasses thousands of sub-sects and local beliefs. It is defined by its flexibility and acceptance.

   The Four Prophets:

The Enlightened One: A deity form or highly regarded prophet (varies by sect).

The Blessed Speaker: Representing piety and weight.

She Who Was Consumed: Representing selflessness.

Nephal of the Seven Branches: Representing ascension and harmony.

Philosophy: The core dogma emphasizes emptiness, selflessness, and harmony with all peoples. This theological openness allows the Lio to integrate refugees (Guest-Banners) without forcing them to convert, making Lioce a cultural bastion.

   7. History & Politics: The 1200-Year War

The conflict between the Lio and the Krakun is ancient and defining.

Origins: The Lioce Empire resisted Krakun vassalage diplomatically for over a century. When the Krakun attempted to take them by force, the Lio declared war.

Duration: The war has lasted for over 1200 years.

Capabilities: The Lio are one of the few species to maintain a large imperial network with technology and tactics that can match the Krakun "toe-to-toe".

   The "Last Hope" Narrative:

Propaganda: The Lio government actively curates a reputation as "The Last Hope of the Galaxy." They fund resistance movements (like Ringeltec’s King-in-Exile) and distribute subversive materials to slave populations.

Censorship: To maintain this pristine image of the "Hero," the Lio government ruthlessly suppresses news of internal scandals or organizational troubles. They believe that maintaining the myth of Lio perfection is essential to keeping galactic morale alive.

Lio Naming Conventions Lio names are deeply rooted in the Jiahnist superstructure, often designed to sound resonant and authoritative, reflecting their physical stature and role as "Protectors." Names typically consist of two phonetic components, often hyphenated (e.g., Jiah-Kel, Kaph-El), where the first segment represents the individual's personal identity and the second acts as a spiritual or lineage signifier, linking them to one of the Four Prophets or a specific virtue of Harmony. The sounds favor open vowels and guttural stops (Ah, Oh, K, T) that carry well when spoken in their deep, resonant voices. High-ranking individuals or religious figures frequently shed their birth names entirely in favor of descriptive titles (e.g., "The Blessed Speaker" or "Nephal of the Seven Branches"), signifying that their personal identity has been subsumed by their service to the state and the war effort.

   1. Governance & Demographics

Lio worlds operate as Feudal Meritocracies governed by local Clan-Prides. While ultimate loyalty is sworn to the Imperial Warleader on Lioce, day-to-day administration is handled by regional Pride Councils.

The Citizenship: The population is stratified by the Guest-Banner system.

Lio: The ruling class and "Citizen-Soldiers."

Geroo: The largest minority, serving as protected "Guest-Labor" for skilled technical work.

Ringel: A transient population of exiles and privateers, often found in orbital dockyards rather than planetside cities.

   2. Planetary Environment

Site selection favors the "Savanna Ideal" of the homeworld, Lioce. Imperial engineers terraform or select for Standard Oxygen-Nitrogen atmospheres with a specific preference for warm, dry climates.

Climate: High humidity is actively avoided as it is detrimental to mane hygiene. Cities are typically situated in arid or semi-arid zones.

Lighting: Public spaces maximize natural sunlight. Most worlds are scheduled to have long dusks, capitalizing on Lio low-light vision (tapetum lucidum) to make twilight the primary social hour.

   3. Security: The Fortress Standard

Due to the "Narata Trauma," every Lio world is designated Security Level: High. Settlements are effectively dormant military bases designed to repel Krakun "Acquisition" fleets.

Concealed Defense: Decorative statuary and monoliths often conceal point-defense lasers and shield generators.

The Muster: Civic sirens test the "Pride-Call" weekly. Every adult Lio is a reservist expected to have combat gear ready in their home, creating a population of armed defenders.

   4. Urban Architecture: The "Dual-Scale" City

Imperial cities are built in a Megalithic Stone/Alloy style, characterized by massive weight and open-air courtyards. Crucially, they utilize a Dual-Scale design philosophy to accommodate the massive size difference between the masters and the guests.

Lio Scale (The Macro): The structural "bones" are built for 2.5-meter tall felines. Doorways are massive arches, and steps are knee-high to a human.

Guest Retrofits (The Micro): To accommodate Geroo and other smaller species, interiors are retrofitted with "Small-Hand" infrastructure:

Runways: Ramps and walkways bolted to the walls of wide corridors.

Lift-Assists: Mechanical lifts installed at the base of massive staircases.

Dual-Interface: Door panels feature control inputs at both 7 feet (Lio) and 3 feet (Guest).

   5. Civic Structure: The Hearth-Plaza

Unlike the industrial focus of Krakun worlds, Lio urban planning centers on the Hearth.

The Great Hearths: Central communal dining squares found in every district. Eating alone is socially stigmatized; these plazas serve as the community anchor where rank is set aside for the meal.

Mane-Gardens: Public parks filled with sun-warmed stones and oil-fountains, designed specifically for the social rituals of grooming and braiding.

Temples: Open-walled Jiahist structures dominated by statues of the Blessed Speaker (depicted as heavyset) and She Who Was Consumed.

   6. Industry & Economy

Metallurgy: Lio are master smiths. Industrial zones are dedicated to the production of high-grade armor and starship hulls.

The "Paper" Trade: Lio worlds are the printing presses of the resistance, producing Lio Manga on physical, treated paper to be smuggled out as cultural contraband.

Guest-Tech: While Lio handle heavy industry, Geroo Quarters serve as the hubs for micro-electronics and precision engineering, producing the delicate circuitry that Lio paws are too large to assemble effectively.

   1. Vital Statistics & Taxonomy

Self-Designation: The Lords / The Architects.

      Biological Class: Reptilian (Titan-Fauna Analog).

      Homeworld: Krakuntec Prime (Sulfur-Rich Throneworld).

      Physical Scale:

Height: 12 meters (approx. 40 ft) at the shoulder.

Mass: Average 275,000 kg (275 Metric Tons).

The Physics Defiance: To overcome the square-cube law, their biology utilizes extreme crystalline structures shared among much of Krakuntec's life.

      Lifespan: ~12,000 Years (Max Known).

Development: Sexual maturity is reached at ~700 years.

The "Burnout": Theories suggest they were never meant to live past 2,000 years. The remaining 10,000 years are a biological fluke that results in a slow "burnout of grief," where the Krakun loses empathy and emotion as they outlive everything they ever loved.

   2. Appearance & Physiology: The "Living Siege Engine"

The Silhouette: Massive and quadrupedal. While they can rear up to manipulate objects, they are not built for bipedal locomotion.

      Internal Biology:

Hearts: Two hearts—one at the base of the neck, one under the lungs.

       Blood: Blue-green coloration.

Undying Nature: They are terrifyingly resilient. A Krakun head, if severed, can survive for several hours to several days. They are also resistant to radiation and can survive hard vacuum for up to an hour.

      Senses:

Vision: They see in Ultraviolet and Infrared; their eyes appear solid but have reflective slit irises.

Hearing: The lower "horns" on their head are actually hollow tympanums (ears).

      Adornment (The Wealth Display):

Wealthy Krakun do not rely on nature. They pay to have their scales chemically dyed with "impossible" patterns—iridescence, glitter, and artistic brush strokes—to signal their economic dominance.

   3. Environmental Tolerance (Atmosphere)

   Krakun are Sulfur-Breathers.

   Native/Compatible: Sulfur.

Non-Breathable (Skin Contact Safe): Oxygen, Carbon, Chlorine, Ammonia.

The Diver: Krakun can hold their breath for a full day with only minor side effects. This allows them to operate on Oxygen worlds (like Earth) without bulky suits, needing only intermittent access to sulfur tanks.

Hazardous: Bromine, Fluorine. These atmospheres cause chemical burns to their scales.

   4. Society & Economics: The Corporate State

Krakun society is an extreme meritocracy based on Personal Economic Worth.

The "Buy-In": There are no public services. Police, fire prevention, and transportation all require a subscription or direct payment.

Status: Purchasing the cheapest option is scandalous. Status is gained by overpaying for premium services.

The AI Ban: Due to a catastrophic AI disaster millennia ago, the Krakun completely abandoned Artificial Intelligence.

The Solution: They replaced automation with Slavery. They realized it is easier to incentivize a living worker (from the billions of smaller species) than to debug a rogue machine.

   5. History & War: The "Short" Conflict

The Lio Conflict: The 1,200-year war with the Lio is viewed by the Krakun as a minor, recent border dispute (roughly 10% of their lifespan).

   War Doctrine:

Delegate: Manual labor—including fighting—is beneath a Lord. They prefer to send fleets of slave armies.

The Titan Drop: When a Krakun does enter the field, they are terrifyingly fast. Their electrochemical brain allows for "predictive movement," letting them react faster than smaller species despite their size.

   6. Psychology: The Creative Decay

The Mayfly Effect: To a creature that lives 12,000 years, humans and Geroo are "Mayflies." They struggle to emotionally invest in creatures that live and die in the blink of an eye.

   Predictive vs. Creative:

Strength: They possess eidetic memory and can run complex mental models, predicting outcomes with computer-like accuracy.

Weakness: As they age, they lose the ability to generate Novelty. They become hyper-conservative because they have "seen it all before." This makes them vulnerable to chaotic, irrational, or unprecedented tactics (like those of the Lio).

Krakun Naming Conventions Krakun names are characterized by sharp, percussive phonetics that mimic the clicking of beaks and the grinding of chitin, often resulting in staccato sounds that can be difficult for soft-palate species to pronounce correctly. Names typically feature hard consonants and complex compound sounds (like "Dz," "K," "Tj," and "X") that convey a sense of aggression and precision (e.g., Dzeikotji). Unlike the flowing, vowel-heavy names of the Geroo or Lio, Krakun names are utilitarian and rigid, rarely abbreviated into nicknames unless mocking a subordinate. In formal settings, a Krakun is almost exclusively addressed by their Rank or Title (e.g., "Director," "High Inquisitor") rather than their given name, reflecting a society where individual identity is secondary to one's function within the Imperial hierarchy.

   1. Governance & Atmosphere

Krakun worlds are not governed; they are Owned. Each planet is the private property of a Board of Directors or a High Lord. There is no distinction between "Civilian Administration" and "Corporate Management."

The Atmosphere: Core worlds are terraformed to the Sulfur Standard. The skies are typically a haze of yellow-orange smog.

The Masters: Krakun breathe freely in the open air.

The Workforce: The billions of Oxygen-breathing slaves (Geroo, Humans, etc.) must wear filtration masks or live in sealed "Oxygen-Ghettos" to survive the acidic air.

Planetary Aesthetics: Industrial and Brutalist. The Krakun view nature as an "unrefined asset." Forests are stripped for carbon; oceans are drained for minerals. A developed Krakun world looks like a circuit board made of factories and fortresses.

   2. Urban Architecture: The Titan-Scale

Because the average citizen (Krakun) is 12 meters tall and weighs 275 tons, the architecture is terrifyingly massive to smaller species.

   The Macro-Layer (The Surface):

Roads: There are no "streets," only Promenades—massive boulevards wide enough for ten lanes of traffic, used solely for Krakun foot traffic.

Doorways: Archways are 15-20 meters high.

Flooring: Pavements are made of reinforced "impact-crete" to withstand the tremors caused by thousands of 100-ton beings walking to work.

   The Micro-Layer (The Walls):

The Vermin Paths: Slaves are physically separated from their masters to prevent accidental crushing. They move via Catwalks, Tunnels, and Service Rails built into the walls of the Krakun buildings.

The Scale Gap: To a slave, a Krakun city feels like living inside the walls of a giant’s house. You do not walk on the street; you scurry above it on a gantry, looking down at the monsters below.

   3. Civic Structure: The Corporate State

There is no "Public Space" because there is no public. Every square inch of land is privately owned.

No Free Services: Police (The Anup Enforcers), Fire, and Medical services are subscription-based. If a slave district catches fire and the owner hasn't paid the "Fire Protection Premium," the fire department will simply watch it burn to protect the adjacent (insured) property.

The Asset Exchange: Instead of parks or plazas, the city centers on the Exchange—massive trading floors where planetary resources and slave contracts are bought and sold.

Decoration: Krakun do not plant gardens. They decorate with Wealth. Buildings are gilded with precious metals, rare isotopes, or "impossible" non-natural colors to prove the owner can afford to waste resources.

   4. Economy & Industry: The Flesh-Machine

Due to the AI Ban (the "Abominable Intelligence" stigma), Krakun technology relies entirely on Biological Automation.

Living Computers: Instead of a digital server farm, a Krakun data-center is a warehouse filled with thousands of Geroo "Calculators" sitting in rows, performing manual computations on tablets.

The "Hands": Heavy machinery is operated by crews of slaves pulling levers, rather than automated guidance chips.

Efficiency: The system is brutal but effective. A broken machine requires spare parts; a broken slave is simply replaced by the next one in the breeding pool.

   5. The "Vibe" (Sensory Experience)

Smell: Rotten eggs (Sulfur), ozone, and industrial exhaust.

Sound: The background noise of a Krakun city is a low-frequency Thrum. It is the sound of heavy footsteps—a rhythmic trembling of the earth that never stops.

Feeling: Insignificance. For a smaller species, the sheer scale of the environment is psychologically crushing. You are constantly reminded that you are a "Micro-Organism" in a world built for Titans.

   6. Security: The Anup & The Lords

The Anup: The jackal-like Enforcer race serves as the intermediary. They police the Micro-Layer, keeping the slaves in line and ensuring production quotas are met.

The Lords: The Krakun generally ignore the slave population. They view them as we view ants—necessary for the ecosystem, but beneath notice unless they bite. However, when a Krakun does notice a disruption, the response is not an arrest; it is an extermination.

10. #10Ringel

    1. Vital Statistics & Taxonomy

       Scientific Class: Mammalian (Procyonid/Lemur Analog).

Average Height: ~1.4 meters (approx. 4'7").

Homeworld: Ringeltec (Lost to Krakun Occupation).

       Political Status: Government-in-Exile / Space-Faring Privateers.

       Atmosphere: Oxygen (Native/Compatible).

    2. Appearance & Physiology: The "Privateer" Form

To a human observer, the Ringel resemble a cross between a Lemur and a Ringtail/Raccoon, possessing a distinct, roguish agility.

The Silhouette: Small, agile, and digitigrade. They are significantly shorter than the Lio or Humans but are built for dexterity and climbing.

The Tail: Their most defining feature is a long, thick tail patterned with distinct rings (hence the name). It is used for balance and social signaling.

    Adornment (The Jewelry Culture):

Ringel have a deep cultural love for jewelry and ornamentation, a tradition that dates back to their planetary history.

Earrings, bangles, and tail-cuffs are worn by almost everyone, often from a very young age. In the current "Exile Era," this jewelry often serves as portable wealth—gold and gems that can be sold if a ship needs repairs.

    3. Society & Culture: The Fleet-Borne

Since the loss of Ringeltec, Ringel society has transformed from a planetary nation into a Migrant Fleet culture.

The Privateer Economy: Unable to fight the Krakun in open warfare (titan vs. lemur is a losing battle), the Ringel Government-in-Exile officially sanctions Piracy.

The Strategy: Ringel ships operate as "Privateers," raiding Krakun supply lines and stealing assets. They are the "mosquitoes" that bleed the Krakun economy while the Lio hold the front line.

Seafaring Heritage: Before spaceflight, Ringeltec was a world of islands and oceans. This ancient seafaring tradition has translated perfectly to the stars. They view spaceships not as machines, but as vessels with souls, similar to their ancestral sailing ships.

    Social Openness (The "Reputation"):

Ringel are known galaxy-wide for being extremely open regarding sexuality. They view sex as a casual, recreational, and social bonding activity rather than a strictly private or taboo subject. This cultural frankness often shocks more conservative species (like the Anup), leading to their reputation as the "Hedonists of the Void".

Note: While casual, they do have rules—sex is often restricted to designated "free zones" on ships to maintain discipline during duty shifts.

    4. History & Politics: The King-in-Exile

The Fall of Ringeltec: The Ringel homeworld was conquered by the Krakun. Unlike the Geroo, who were enslaved en masse, a significant portion of the Ringel population managed to evacuate, taking their government and navy into the void.

The Alliance: They are the Tactical Allies of the Lioce Empire.

The Deal: The Lio provide safe harbors and repairs for Ringel ships. In exchange, the Ringel provide the Lio with stolen Krakun intelligence and disruptive guerilla raids behind enemy lines.

Current Status: They exist as a diaspora. You will rarely find a Ringel "colony"; instead, you find Ringel Fleets or Ringel quarters on Lio space stations. They are a people in constant motion, waiting for the day they can retake their world.

    5. Psychology

The Survivor's Guilt: Beneath the partying and piracy, there is a deep current of loss. Every Ringel knows someone who was left behind on Ringeltec.

Sticky Fingers: Culturally, they have a loose definition of "Personal Property," especially when it comes to Krakun assets. If it isn't bolted down, a Ringel will steal it, fence it, or wear it.

Loyalty: They are fickle allies to most, but fiercely loyal to their own ships. A Ringel crew is a family.

    Naming Conventions

Ringel names are short, sharp, and often onomatopoeic, reflecting the chattering sounds of their native language.

Male Examples: Rik, Tak, Krr-Pik, Valen.

Female Examples: Chirr, Miki, Vix, Zala.

Surnames: Often related to their trade or a specific clan achievement (e.g., "Bolt-Turner," "Void-Eye," "Ringel" itself is often used as a unifying surname for royals).

    1. The Flotilla (The Current "Homeworld")

Since the loss of Ringeltec, the Ringel government and the bulk of their civilian population live entirely on ships. This massive congregation of vessels is known simply as "The Flotilla."

Governance: The King-in-Exile commands from the flagship The Gilded Wake. It is a military dictatorship disguised as a monarchy; the Admiral-Lords hold the real power, coordinating the privateer fleets that keep the economy afloat.

Architecture: The Flotilla is a chaotic, lashed-together city in space.

The Lashings: Ships are often physically connected by pressurized docking tubes and magnetic clamps to save fuel.

Verticality: Ringel are climbers. The interiors of the capital ships are retrofitted with massive vertical shafts, cargo-net rigging, and ladders rather than grav-lifts. A Ringel "street" is often a 50-meter vertical drop filled with swinging ropes.

Atmosphere: Chaotic and Vibrant. The air smells of recycled ozone, engine grease, and heavy perfumes. The corridors are neon-lit, crowded, and loud with music. It feels less like a military fleet and more like a permanent, flying carnival.

    2. Ringeltec (The Lost World)

The Ringel homeworld is currently a Krakun Occupied Zone.

    Status: Strip-mined and Industrialized.

The Environment: Once a tropical ocean world of islands (suiting the Ringel's arboreal/swimming ancestry), it is now being drained. The Krakun "Architects" are boiling off the oceans to access seabed mineral deposits.

The Population: The Ringel who failed to escape are now slaves. Unlike the Geroo (who are technicians), Ringel slaves are often used for high-risk nimble labor—scrambling inside machinery to clear jams or working on high scaffolding without safety gear.

Significance: It is the "Holy Grail" of the resistance. Every toast in the Flotilla ends with "To the Home we will retake."

    3. "Little Ringel" (Enclaves)

On Lio-controlled worlds, Ringel refugees have established permanent districts known as "Little Ringels."

Location: Usually situated near Spaceports or Orbital Elevators. Ringel prefer to be close to the ships.

    Urban Layout:

The Stacks: Ringel housing is extremely dense and vertical. They build "stack-houses" out of shipping containers or modular hab-units, piled ten or twenty high.

The Market: The ground level is always a sprawling Black Market. This is where the privateer fleets fence their stolen Krakun goods. You can buy anything here: stolen military-grade sensors, illegal spices, or salvaged Krakun art.

Reputation: These districts are known as "Red Light" or "Party" zones by the more stoic Lio. They are places of loud music, open sexuality, and gambling—a release valve for the stress of the endless war.

    4. Economy: The Prize Court

The Ringel economy is entirely predatory. It is based on The Prize.

Privateering: Ringel captains carry "Letters of Marque" from the King-in-Exile (and secretly endorsed by the Lio Empire). Any Krakun ship they capture is legal property.

Salvage & Refit: The Flotilla has the best repair yards in the Outer Rim because they have to be. They keep centuries-old ships flying with duct tape and stolen parts.

Portable Wealth: Because they live on ships, Ringel do not invest in land or real estate. They invest in Jewelry. A Ringel's bank account is worn on their body—gold bangles, tail-cuffs, and gemstone earrings. If a ship needs fuel, a crewmember might pawn a bracelet to pay for it.

    5. Social Vibe: The "Free" Zone

Sexual Openness: Ringel spaces are marked by a distinct lack of taboos regarding nudity and sexuality. "Free Zones" (social lounges) are common on their ships, serving as communal areas for bonding and stress relief.

The Noise: Ringel hate silence. Silence reminds them of the void and the friends they lost. Their environments are constantly filled with chatter, music, or the clatter of work. To a Lio (who loves quiet), a Ringel ship is a headache; to a Ringel, it sounds like life.

    1. Vital Statistics & Taxonomy

       Scientific Class: Mammalian (Placental).

       Physical Scale:

Avg Height: 3 meters (approx. 9'10").

Avg Weight: 320 kg (approx. 705 lbs).

        Lifespan: ~225 KY (Max Known).

       Homeworld: Anuptec (Warm Climate).

       Atmosphere: Bromine-Breather.

       Biology:

        Blood: Bronze colored.

        Flesh: Yellow-to-brown interior.

Hands: Five fingers with thick pads; Four toes on feet.

    2. Appearance & Physiology

The Silhouette: Massive canines standing nearly 10 feet tall. They have large, pointed ears (pups' ears are lopped until age 7) and a long tail.

Clothing: Minimal. Due to their warm homeworld and thick skin, most Anup wear only a "modest amount of jewelry" or utility gear. Formal wear typically involves Body Paint (Gold and White are preferred colors) rather than fabric.

       Variations:

Albinism: Extremely rare and highly prized.

Patches: Discolored fur patches are common but considered "low contrast".

    3. Sociology: The Rod & The Plague

Anup society is defined by a socio-religious mandate of cleanliness, stemming from a devastating plague that nearly wiped out their species 1,000 years ago.

The Span (The Rod): Every adult Anup carries a metal rod, classically 2 meters long.

Function: It is a hygiene tool, a key, and a weapon. Anup do not touch each other or objects directly if they can avoid it. They use the rod to press buttons, open doors, or hand items to others.

Social Distancing: Anup who do not know each other "do not stand within range of another's rod." Even friends will not touch without the use of the rod.

Identity: The rod is treated like a wallet or ID. It is highly personalized and losing it is a crisis.

Taboos: Touching someone's personal items is strictly forbidden unless the item is "still warm from the Anup's body heat" (implying immediate, trusted transfer).

    4. Religion: Total Awe

Core Belief: Their faith revolves from the "Pursuit of Total Awe." They are ascetic, denying themselves pleasure over long periods to increase the emotional release felt when finally encountering something truly awesome.

Ceremonies: These are controlled environments for "release," ranging from sex to drug use to pain endurance.

The Krakun Influence: When the Krakun arrived, the Anup were "Awed" by them. This led to the Anup marginalizing their own nature deities in favor of a cult centered on the Krakun themselves.

Literature: Religious texts often consist of "Travel Porn"—elaborate descriptions of great sights and lavish experiences.

    5. Military & Politics: The Independent Ally

The Enforcers: The Krakun prize the Anup for their extreme fighting prowess and loyalty.

The Leverage: Because the Anup are so vital to the military machine, they hold significant political power.

Anuptec Sovereignty: Anuptec is technically in a "Permanent Alliance" with the Krakun, not a subject state.

Naval Independence: The Anup Interstellar Navy does not answer to the Krakun chain of command. A Krakun Lord cannot order an Anup ship to fire; the order must go through an Anup General first. This is embarrassing to the Krakun, but they rely on the Anup too much to force the issue.

    6. Environmental Tolerance (Atmosphere)

    Native: Bromine.

    Temporarily Survivable: Oxygen.

Physiology: Anup can operate in Oxygen atmospheres for short durations (minutes to hours) without choking instantly.

Culture: Given their obsession with cleanliness, they likely view non-Bromine atmospheres as "filthy" or "sterile" and prefer to stay masked to avoid "contaminating" their lungs, even if they can technically survive exposure.

Hazardous: Fluorine, Sulfur. They must wear suits in the Krakun's native Sulfur environment.

Anup Naming Conventions Anup names are typically short, sharp, and guttural, reflecting their disciplined and traditionalist society. They often favor phonetic structures that resemble ancient Coptic or Egyptian roots (e.g., Sakh, Rin, Khet), emphasizing hard consonants like 'K', 'T', and 'R' to convey authority. Given their cultural obsession with hierarchy and the taboo against physical touch, Anup are rarely addressed by their first names in public. Instead, they are almost exclusively referred to by their Title or Caste Function (e.g., "Overseer," "Auditor," "Justicar") followed by their family or clan name. Personal names are considered intimate, reserved only for one's mate or close family within the privacy of the home, as sharing one's given name is seen as a verbal equivalent of physical contact—a vulnerability not to be exposed to strangers.

    1. Governance & Politics

Unlike the oppressed slave worlds of the Geroo or the privately owned Krakun worlds, Anup worlds (specifically the homeworld Anuptec) maintain a unique status of "Permanent Alliance."

Sovereignty: They are technically independent. Anup military vessels are practically independent and do not answer to the Krakun chain of command.

The Power Dynamic: While they worship the Krakun as living deities of "Awe," the Anup hold massive leverage. The Krakun cannot force the Anup military to act; they must request it through the Anup Generals.

    2. Planetary Environment

Atmosphere: Bromine-Rich. The skies are typically a haze of reddish-brown (Bromine vapor). To a Human or Lio, the air is corrosive and toxic, requiring full seal-suits. To an Anup, it is comfortable.

Climate: Warm. Anuptec is a hot planet. Consequently, the inhabitants wear very little clothing, relying on their thick skin and heat tolerance.

    3. Urban Architecture: The Monumental Clean

Anup architecture is defined by two factors: The Pursuit of Awe and The Fear of Plague.

Monumentalism: To satisfy their religious need for "Awe," Anup cities are built with "extreme feats of monumental architecture." Massive pyramids, obelisks, and statues dominate the skyline, designed to make the observer feel small.

Spacing (The Rod Rule): Streets and hallways are exceptionally wide. This is to accommodate the social mandate that no two Anup should stand within "Rod's Reach" (2 meters) of each other unless intimate.

Sterility: Due to the plague that decimated their population 1,000 years ago, cities are obsessively clean. Public surfaces are antimicrobial, and clutter is culturally reviled.

    4. Society: The Distance Culture

The Street Scene: An Anup crowd is eerily orderly. There is no jostling or bumping. Every individual maintains a precise 2-meter bubble of personal space.

The Rods: Every citizen carries a personalized metal rod (approx. 2m long). You will see Anup using these to press elevator buttons, push open doors, or exchange credits, ensuring they never physically touch a public surface.

Fashion: You will not see much fabric. Instead, status is displayed through Body Paint (Gold and White are preferred for high rank) and the craftsmanship of their Rod.

    5. Religion: The Cult of Awe

Temples: Religious centers are common, but they have shifted focus. Originally dedicated to nature deities, most temples now center on the Krakun themselves, whom the Anup view as the ultimate source of "Awe".

Ceremonial Excess: While daily life is ascetic and conservative, festivals are explosions of sensory overload. These "controlled environments" allow Anup to release their pent-up emotion through drug use, pain endurance, or mass celebration, all to achieve a state of religious ecstasy.

    6. Security: The Garrison State

Militarization: Anup society is deeply martial. The Krakun prize them for their loyalty and prowess, so a huge percentage of the population is enlisted in the Orbital Defense or Interstellar Navy.

The Vibe: An Anup world feels like a Holy Barracks. It is disciplined, quiet, and terrifyingly efficient. It lacks the chaotic misery of a Krakun slave world, replacing it with a cold, sharp, and well-armed piety.

    2. Appearance & Physiology: The "Feline" Analog

To a human observer, Geordians appear as bipedal, anthropomorphic felines (cats).

The Silhouette: They possess a digitigrade stance and a long, flexible tail used for balance.

Flexibility: They are renowned for extreme physical flexibility, capable of contortions that surpass typical human limits.

    Coat & Color:

Patterns: Horizontal stripes are standard, though broken stripes (spots) occur.

Colors: Range from yellow to red to blue. Green is nonexistent.

Weight: They are prone to gaining weight when sedentary, which can result in "permanent visible breasts" in females even when not nursing.

    Senses:

Eyes: The iris color covers the entire visible sclera.

Whiskers: Highly sensitive and critical for social interaction.

    3. Clothing & Presentation

Philosophy: Like most "sensible species" in the galaxy, Geordians prefer to wear a minimum of clothing, especially when onboard regulated environments (ships/stations) where temperature is controlled.

    Modesty & Gender:

Females: Typically, females do not have visible breasts unless they are nursing. However, higher-weight individuals may have permanent visible breasts. There is a cultural or biological tendency to cover the chest during nursing periods or if breasts are prominent.

Style: When clothing is worn, it tends to be form-fitting and athletic (e.g., crop tops, shorts) to allow for their extreme flexibility and to avoid tangling with their long tails.

    4. Environmental Tolerance (The Ammonia Requirement)

Geordians occupy a niche atmospheric zone.

    Native/Compatible: Ammonia (1.5% mix).

Temporarily Survivable: Oxygen. While they breathe oxygen (19%), the lack of ammonia in standard atmospheres makes pure oxygen worlds only "Temporarily Survivable" without supplementation.

Non-Breathable (Contact Safe): Carbon, Chlorine, Sulfur. They can tolerate skin contact but cannot breathe them.

    Hazardous: Bromine, Fluorine.

    5. Sociology: The Clan Nexus

The Validation Loop: A Geordian’s self-worth is derived entirely from external validation by their clan.

The Bonding Instinct: A Geordian without a clan is in crisis and will instinctively seek to bond with any available group. Once bonded, they adapt their worldview to match the clan's consensus.

Consensus Reality: Conflicting orders from superiors within a clan structure can cause emotional collapse, as the Geordian cannot reconcile "Two Truths".

Affection: Whisker-Touching is the standard gesture of politeness. Kissing is considered as casual and common as hugging is for other species.

    6. History & Politics: The Vassal State

The Fall: Geordians once held a galactic confederation but were conquered by the Krakun due to technological stagnation.

Planetary Acquisitions: To utilize the Geordian drive for "Clan Service," the Krakun deployed them on Generation Ships to scour the galaxy for new resources.

The Slavery Failure: The Krakun expected the Geordians to be perfect, obedient slaves. However, because Krakun masters typically ignore their slaves, the Geordians (who need social feedback/validation) often fall into states of anxiety and inefficiency.

Geordian Naming Conventions Geordian names are deeply melodic and rhythmic, reflecting a culture that values poetry above almost all other art forms. Personal names tend to be short, vowel-heavy, and soft on the tongue (e.g., Miyo, Lani, Oolo), often designed to fit into the strict metrical structures of their native verse. However, a Geordian’s identity is considered incomplete without their Clan Name, which functions less like a surname and more like a badge of rank and belonging. In formal introductions, the Clan Name is always spoken first or emphasized with a specific intonation to signal that the individual stands with the full weight of their family behind them. To omit a Geordian’s clan name is a grave insult, implying they are "Unwoven"—an outcast without history or support.

    1. Governance & Politics

Geordian worlds, including the homeworld Georditec, operate under a Vassal State status.

The Puppet Confederacy: While they technically retain their own "Confederation" government, it is a shell. They are subject to massive "tributary demands" from the Krakun Empire.

The Anxiety Engine: Because Geordian sociology relies on external validation, the Krakun occupation is psychologically devastating. The Geordian government desperately tries to please their Masters to "bond" with them, but the Krakun largely ignore them. This leaves the entire planetary administration in a state of permanent, high-functioning neurosis.

    2. Planetary Environment

    Atmosphere: Ammonia-Oxygen Mix.

The Scent: To a Human or Lio, a Geordian city smells overpoweringly of cleaning fluid (Ammonia). The air is toxic to standard Oxygen-breathers, causing lung irritation and chemical burns without a filter mask.

Climate: Generally temperate, but industrial runoff from Krakun demands has likely scarred the biosphere.

Population Crisis: Georditec was tapped for slaves "even harder than most Krakun colonies," leading to historical population collapses and riots. Many cities still bear the scars of these uprisings.

    3. Urban Architecture: The Clan-Den

Geordian urban planning is driven by their biological need for Clan Cohesion.

Communal Living: You will rarely find single-occupancy apartments. Housing is built as Clan-Compounds—large, multi-room structures designed to house "several hundred Geordians" who may or may not be directly related.

Verticality & Agility: Because Geordians are agile and digitigrade, architecture often features verticality—ladders, climbing poles, and narrow ledges that would be difficult for less flexible species to navigate.

Soft Architecture: To accommodate their frequent physical intimacy (whisker-touching, communal sleeping), interiors often feature "piles" of soft furnishings rather than rigid, individual chairs.

    4. The Generation Fleets (The New World)

A significant percentage of the Geordian population no longer lives on planets. They inhabit Planetary Acquisition Fleets.

The Mission: These are massive generation ships sent to scour the galaxy for colonization opportunities for the Krakun. The Geordians onboard are born, live, and die in the void, serving a Master they may never see.

Shipboard Society: These ships are insular "super-clans." The bond between crewmembers is absolute; a Geordian crew will often refuse to surrender because being separated from their ship-clan is a fate worse than death.

    5. Society & Vibe: The Desperate Please

The Mood: A Geordian world feels Busy but Frightened. Everyone is working at 110% capacity, not just to avoid punishment, but because they are culturally terrified of being seen as "useless" or "honorless".

    Integration:

Slaves: Geordians are compliant slaves if they feel they are part of the "Master's Clan." If they are ignored, they become erratic.

Visitors: Visitors must be careful. If you show a Geordian kindness, they may instinctively try to "bond" with you. A casual act of friendship can lead to a Geordian pledging life-debt loyalty to you, which is socially awkward for a tourist.

    6. Economy

Tribute: The economy is purely extractive. Almost all surplus—food, minerals, manufactured goods—is shipped off-world to feed the Krakun war machine.

Export: Their primary export is Labor. Geordian technicians and scouts are found throughout the Krakun Empire, usually in roles that require flexibility and agility that the massive Krakun lack.

    1. Vital Statistics & Taxonomy

       Scientific Class: Mammalian (Placental).

       Physical Scale:

Avg Height: 1.7 meters (approx. 5'7").

Avg Weight: 60 kg (approx. 132 lbs).

        Lifespan: ~150 KY (Max Known).

       Atmosphere: Chlorine-Breather.

       Biology:

Blood: Blue. Consequently, their flesh has a blue-green tint.

        Diet: Carnivorous.

    2. Appearance & Physiology: The "Coyote" Analog

To a human observer, the Kyacaotl appear as anthropomorphic Coyotes.

The Silhouette: They are digitigrade, standing on four toes. Their build is lean and rangy, lacking the heavy muscle of a wolf or the small stature of a fox.

Coloration: Their fur patterns are naturalistic (grays, creams, browns), but their aesthetic choices are defined by specific taboos.

The Blue Taboo: Kya rarely wear the color Blue. Because their blood is blue, it is culturally associated with death and injury. Instead, they favor "warm" clothing colors (reds, oranges, browns).

    3. Environmental Tolerance (The Chlorine Requirement)

Kyacaotl are Chlorine-Breathers, placing them in a hazardous atmospheric bracket relative to most other sapient species.

    Native/Compatible: Chlorine.

    Temporarily Survivable: Oxygen.

The Raiding Advantage: Like the Anup, Kya can survive in Oxygen atmospheres for "minutes to hours" without choking instantly. This allows them to operate in standard environments with minimal gear for short durations.

Non-Breathable (Contact Safe): Carbon and Ammonia.

Carbon: Rebreather only; full skin contact is safe (Yellow).

Ammonia: Full face mask required; can cause issues with eyes/wounds (Orange).

Hazardous: Bromine, Fluorine, Sulfur. These are chemically aggressive to Kya biology and require full environment suits.

    4. The Mask Culture (The Soul)

The central pillar of Kya society is The Mask. It is not fashion; it is the soul.

The True Mask: Received at the age of 18. From that moment on, a traditional Kya never removes their mask in a public setting.

Composition: Traditionally hardwood; modern masks are ceramic, plastic, or metal. The "True Mask" covers only the top half of the head; extensions are just accessories.

One Soul: A Kya can only have one True Mask at a time. Replacing it is embarrassing and usually only done if the original is destroyed.

Decoration (Lies & Achievements): Masks are constantly customized with paint and carvings. These markings represent life achievements, personal nature, or outright lies. Accruing these marks is a sign of maturity.

Utility Masks: Warriors or hunters may wear "non-true" masks imbued with technology (sensors/HUDs) for specific tasks, but these are tools, not identity.

    The Maskless:

        Criminals: Have their masks withheld.

Heinous Criminals: Have their masks destroyed and are forbidden from making a new one.

Slaves: Are not permitted to wear masks.

Outcasts: Those rejected from society for losing their masks.

    5. Religion: The Trickster's Children

Deity: They believe themselves to be the children of Alamatol, a Trickster Goddess who stole the sun and moons from other gods to allow her children to prosper.

Doctrine: The core virtues are Vigilance and Trickery.

Perception: Trickery is used to teach Vigilance. A Kya wears a mask to control how they are seen, enforcing the idea that truth is something you must be sharp enough to see through.

The Game of Theft: Theft of masks is a culturally sanctioned game.

The Rules: If a thief successfully steals a mask, the owner may not retaliate. The thief must return the mask after a few days. This teaches the owner to be more vigilant next time.

    6. Clothing & Presentation

Minimalism: Like "most sensible species," Kya wear a minimum of clothing, especially in temperature-controlled environments.

Traditionalism: However, many Kya cling to clothing traditions more than others, especially within "Traditionalist Cults," wearing garments only as needed but styling them heavily.

    7. History & Politics

Newcomers: The Kya have only recently started making their way into the stars. Many of the population have never lived solely in artificial environments (stations/ships), maintaining a strong connection to planetary life.

Modern Schisms: The space age has caused a cultural fracture.

Cult of the Maskless / Cult of the Free Clans: New movements that reject the ancient mask traditions entirely, arguing for a face-forward approach to the galaxy.

Kyacaotl Naming Conventions Kyacaotl names are heavily influenced by a Nahuatl-esque phonetic structure, characterized by the frequent use of the "tl" lateral click, hard "k" sounds, and sibilant "s" sounds (e.g., Tinasca, Kyacaotl, Alamanotl). Their naming tradition is intrinsically tied to their mask culture; a Kyacaotl is typically given a "Child Name" at birth, but they only receive their formal "Mask Name" upon passing their rites of adulthood and receiving their first face-plate. In formal or religious contexts, names often carry the suffix "-otl" or "-tl", which signifies a connection to the divine or the state (as seen in their goddess Alamanotl). However, for everyday use, names are often softer and multi-syllabic (like Tinasca), designed to be spoken clearly through the vocal modulators of their respiration masks. To strip a Kyacaotl of their mask is to strip them of their name; an unmasked Kyacaotl is often referred to simply as "Null" or by a slave designation, as they are considered to have lost their soul.

    1. Governance & Politics

Kyacaotl worlds are not unified under a single monolithic empire. Instead, they operate as a loose confederation of Free Clans.

The Clan Structure: Governance is local and clan-based. Leadership is often determined by merit, cunning, and the ability to navigate the complex social games of the Mask Culture.

The Schism: The transition to the Space Age has caused political turmoil. Planetary governments are currently split between Traditionalists (who enforce Mask Law) and the rising Cult of the Maskless (who reject the old ways for a new, open-faced galactic identity).

    2. Planetary Environment

Atmosphere: Chlorine-Rich. To a Lio or Ringel, a Kya world is a death trap of yellow-green fog. The air is corrosive and toxic, requiring full environmental seals for visitors. To a Kya, this is a lush, comfortable home.

Aesthetics: Because many Kya have "never lived solely in artificial environments," their cities often integrate heavily with the natural landscape rather than paving over it. There is a strong preference for "planetary life" over the sterile void of stations.

    3. Urban Architecture: The Vigilant City

Kyacaotl architecture reflects their religious devotion to Alamatol (The Trickster) and the virtue of Vigilance.

Visual Control: Buildings and public spaces are designed to control sightlines. There are few wide-open, vulnerable plazas. Instead, cities feature winding paths, alcoves, and complex layouts that reward awareness and penalize the unobservant.

The "Warm" Palette: Due to the cultural taboo against Blue (the color of death/blood), cities are rarely decorated in cool tones. You will see vibrant reds, oranges, browns, and creams—colors of life and warmth.

    4. Society: The Masquerade

Public Life: A traditional Kya street scene is a sea of masks. No face is visible. Identity is projected entirely through the artistry of the mask—paint, carvings, and technological attachments.

The Game of Theft: Petty crime (specifically mask theft) is semi-legal. It is a social game to teach vigilance. If someone steals your mask in a crowd, you cannot call the police; you must simply be smarter next time. However, this is strictly bound by rules—the thief must return it after a few days.

The Outcasts: The "gutters" of Kya society are filled with the Maskless—criminals and outcasts who have been stripped of their face and, by extension, their soul. They are pariahs, ignored by the masked population.

    5. Economy & Technology

Newcomers: The Kya are "Space Age" but not "Ancient." Their tech is functional but lacks the Titan-scale engineering of the Krakun or the refined elegance of the Lio. They are currently adapting their terrestrial technology for the stars.

Mask Crafting: This is a major industry. From traditional hardwood carvers to modern ceramic/plastic fabricators, the economy revolves around the creation and customization of masks.

    6. The "Vibe"

The Feeling: To an outsider, a Kya world feels Secretive and Performative. Everyone is literally wearing a disguise. The social atmosphere is tense with "The Game"—everyone is watching everyone else, looking for an opening or defending against a trick.

The Hazard: For non-Chlorine breathers, the danger is constant. A cracked seal means death. For Kya, the danger is social: losing your mask means losing your life.

    1. Vital Statistics & Taxonomy

       Scientific Class: Amphibious Chondrichthyes (Viviparous).

       Atmosphere: Chlorine-Breathing.

       Lifespan:

Typical: ~300 Years (due to disease/starvation).

        Max Known: 3,000 KY.

Biological Immortality: Theoretically, they can live indefinitely due to massive regenerative abilities, but in practice, maintaining their massive caloric needs becomes impossible as they age.

       Diet: Obligate Carnivores.

       Biology:

        Flesh/Blood: Teal coloration.

Skeleton: Cartilaginous (pliable and lightweight). Their ability to remain upright on land depends entirely on muscle density.

    2. Appearance & Physiology: The "Land Shark"

To an observer, the Tryonn appears as a shark-like biped with a thin coat of soft, oily fur.

The Silhouette: They possess a heavy, muscular tail used for swimming at great speeds. On land, they must drag it, making movement awkward.

    Features:

Limbs: Six fingers (partially webbed) and three toes (webbed, no pads or claws).

Fins: Two dorsal fins on their back, the larger one located atop the tail base.

Teeth: Evolved scales that are tremendously sharp. They fall out regularly and are replaced by rows from the back.

Mouth: The tongue lies flat and does not stick out past the teeth.

Voice: Their vocal cords are tuned for underwater communication, sounding melodic in the deep. On land, their voices register as harsh and raspy.

Respiration: They possess both lungs and gills, swapping between them effortlessly as they transition between land and sea.

    3. The Growth Cycle: The Caloric Trap

Tryonn biology is defined by Indeterminate Growth. They never stop growing as long as they eat.

Diet vs. Size: Growth is dictated entirely by diet. Excess calories are converted to fat, and stored fat powers bodily growth. To stop growing, a Tryonn must maintain a strict diet that limits daily intake.

The Landwalking Window: Tryonn can only operate on land when they are between 50cm and 3.5m tall.

Gravity: Beyond 3.5m, their cartilaginous skeleton cannot support their weight against gravity.

The Return: Any Tryonn who surpasses this height must return to the ocean permanently.

Military Standards: Tryonn in military service attempt to maintain a height between 1.5m and 2.5m to remain combat-effective on land.

The Elders: Elder Tryonn eventually grow so large that finding enough food to sustain them becomes complicated. They often bear many scars and their fur thins out as they expand.

    4. Health & Regeneration

Regeneration: They possess enormous regenerative capabilities. Unless an injury kills them outright, they can regenerate from almost any lethal circumstance.

Durability: Despite this, their bodies are "spongey." While hard to kill via trauma, they are susceptible to disease and starvation.

    5. Society & Culture: The Ocean Worship

The Lifeline: Tryonn are born in the water and usually die in the water. They view the Ocean as their mother, their god, and their lifeline.

Land as Technology: They view dry land not as a habitat, but as a tool. It is useful for creating fire, metal, and industry, but it is "at best an adventure away from their true home".

Clothing: Like most sensible species, they wear a minimum of clothing, especially in regulated environments. On land, clothing is utilitarian; in water, it is largely unnecessary.

Tryonn Naming Conventions Tryonn names are characterized by fluidity and elegance, reflecting both their aquatic origins and their cultivated persona as sophisticated, neutral arbiters of trade. Their vocal cords, adapted for a chlorine-heavy atmosphere, produce sounds that are often described as "silken" or "liquid" to oxygen-breathers. As such, Tryonn personal names favor soft sibilants, lateral approximants, and long vowels (e.g., Ciel, Valis, Xylos, Mirelle), strictly avoiding the harsh guttural stops found in Krakun or Anup languages, which they consider "barbaric" and unrefined. In their hyper-capitalist society, a Tryonn's Family Name is effectively a Brand Name. It is placed first in formal introductions (e.g., House Vay-Ciel) to immediately establish their credit rating and corporate lineage before their personal identity is even mentioned. To mispronounce a Tryonn's name is not just a social faux pas; it is considered a sign of poor business acumen.

    1. Planetary Environment

Atmosphere: Chlorine-Rich. The air is a toxic, yellow-green fog to Oxygen-breathers. It is highly corrosive, requiring heavy sealing for off-world visitors.

Geography: Tryonn worlds are Ocean Worlds. Landmasses are preserved not for habitation, but as "Workbenches."

       The Duality:

The Sea (The Home): This is where life happens. It is the place of birth, sleep, mating, and death. It is revered as the "Mother and God".

The Land (The Tool): Dry land is viewed as a piece of technology—a place to perform chemistry, forge metal, and build spaceships, tasks that are impossible underwater.

    2. Urban Architecture: The Dual City

Tryonn cities exist in two distinct layers, connected by massive transit locks. A. The Submerged Spire (Residential/Political)

The Elder Halls: Because Tryonn grow indefinitely, the revered Elders (who can be massive) are physically incapable of leaving the water due to gravity. Therefore, all Governance, Religion, and High Culture exist in the deep ocean, where buoyancy supports their bulk.

Acoustics: Architecture is designed for their melodic underwater voices, utilizing hydro-acoustics that sound harsh or impossible in the air.

    B. The Surface Factories (Industrial/Military)

The Scale Limit: The surface is the domain of the "Landwalkers"—Tryonn between 0.5m and 3.5m tall. You will never see an Elder here.

Design for Drag: Because Tryonn must drag their massive tails on land, surface architecture features wide, smooth ramps and low-friction flooring. Stairs are nonexistent; everything is sloped.

Function: This is where the starports, refineries, and fabricators are. It is loud, dirty, and purely utilitarian. A Tryonn does not "live" here; they "shift" here.

    3. Society: The Vertical Life-Cycle

The Diet Economy: The planet's economy revolves around Caloric Management. Because Tryonn grow based on how much they eat, food production is strictly regulated.

The Working Class: Workers and soldiers are put on strict diets to keep them within the "Landwalking Window" (1.5m - 2.5m) so they can operate machinery and fit in spaceships.

The Retired: Once a Tryonn becomes too large or successful to stop growing, they "retire" to the ocean permanently, never to walk on land again.

The Elders: The deep oceans are home to ancient, massive Tryonn who are kept alive by their families. These Elders are often immobile mountains of flesh and scar tissue, fed by pipelines of food, revered as living ancestors.

    4. Security & Military

Amphibious Defense: An invasion of a Tryonn world is a nightmare. Invaders must fight through a Chlorine atmosphere on the surface, only to realize the true civilization is underwater, where the Tryonn possess home-field advantage in 3D maneuverability.

The Size Cap: Military recruits are rigorously measured. If a soldier eats too much and grows past 2.5m, they are discharged (or transferred to heavy aquatic defense) because they no longer fit in standard power armor or drop-ship seats.

    5. The "Vibe"

Surface: Industrial, humid, and uncomfortable. It feels like a oil rig—a place of work, not comfort. The locals are grumpy because moving on land is awkward and their voices sound raspy.

Underwater: Serene, melodic, and terrifyingly vast. It is a world of silent communication and massive biological shapes moving in the gloom.

Avg Length: 14 meters (approx. 46 ft).

Avg Weight: 7,200 kg (approx. 8 tons).

       Lifespan: ~500 KY (Max Known).

       Atmosphere: Carbon-Compound Breathing.

       Biology:

        Flesh: Green; Carnivorous.

Resilience: They are practically immune to slug-throwing munitions, disease-resistant, fireproof, radiation-resistant, and possess regenerative capabilities.

    2. Appearance & Physiology: The "Cobra" Titan

To an observer, the Ssarith resembles a massive, naga-like serpent with the hood of a cobra.

The Silhouette: They possess a long, serpentine tail (no legs) and a broad, muscular humanoid torso. They are physically imposing, often depicted with "buff" builds regardless of individual variation.

The Hood: They have large, flexible hoods that are expressive; the patterns on these hoods are unique to the individual.

    Features:

        Hands: Four fingers.

Ears: Tympanums can stick out or be small and round.

Coloration: Most range from pale green to silver, but white, black, yellow, pale blue, gold, copper, and mottled colors are possible.

Clothing: Like most "sensible species," they wear a minimum of clothing, especially in regulated environments. Hoods and topscales are often left exposed for expression.

    3. Psychology: The Moral Logic

Logical Empathy: Ssarith are a highly logical but deeply empathetic species. Unlike typical "cold logic" tropes, their logic explicitly accounts for emotions and social dynamics as valid data points. They do not dismiss the irrational psychology of other species, even if they struggle to grasp it.

Honor Code: They are driven by high morality. It is a matter of honor to protect the weak, provide safety to their charges, and act as fair, compassionate judges toward alien life.

Slavery Immunity: Because of this highly motivated morality, the Krakun do not consider Ssarith to be effective slaves.

Lack of Religion: Ssarith lack a tradition of religion, mythology, or fictional storytelling. They understand these concepts as "pastimes of other species" but do not invent them. They revere "Heroes of Record" (historical figures) rather than gods.

    4. Society & Reproduction

Hierarchy: They operate in a strict hierarchy where every individual understands their mission. Trust flows both ways: superiors utilize the skills of subordinates to the max, and subordinates trust their leaders to be self-sacrificing. They are aware this system fails with other species and do not try to impose it on them.

    Asexual Reproduction:

Non-Gendered: Ssarith are non-gendered and asexual.

The Cuddle Piles: They exchange DNA in "large cuddle piles," usually through "love biting" the hoods of others.

Crushes: It is common for Ssarith to develop "crushes" on their superiors and seek excuses to be in contact with them.

Cycles: Units usually lay eggs on the same cycle. Eggs are raised by the unit as a whole or by a dedicated clutch-nurse.

    5. History: The Evacuation

Fall of Homeworld: The Ssarith homeworld orbits a supergiant star and is under risk of imminent destruction.

The Mission: Their evacuation is imminent, but they are currently seeking a resettlement plan that allows them to continue helping the Lio defend the galaxy against Krakun and Turek threats.

Timekeeping: They operate on a 60-hour schedule and find adjusting to shorter galactic standard days difficult.

Ssarith Naming Conventions Ssarith names are dictated by their ophidian biology, heavily favoring sibilant and fricative sounds that flow naturally over a forked tongue. Common names are often monosyllabic or bisyllabic and dominated by elongated "S", "Z", and "Th" sounds (e.g., Sress, Zeth, Ssar), effectively sounding like a controlled hiss to other species. While their internal self-designation (Barith) includes harder consonants, these are often softened or lost when speaking Galactic Basic. Given their history as a refugee fleet constantly on the move, Ssarith names are pragmatic and unadorned; they rarely use family names, instead identifying themselves by their ship or fleet assignment in formal contexts (e.g., "Sress of the Evacuation Column"), emphasizing collective survival over individual lineage.

    Entry settings

    1. Planetary Status: The Terminal World

The Solar Threat: The Ssarith homeworld orbits a Supergiant Star that is currently destabilizing. The planet is under constant threat of solar flares and imminent destruction.

Radiation Environment: The surface is bombarded with radiation levels that would cook a Lio or Geroo. The Ssarith ignore this, as their physiology is naturally Radiation-Resistant and Fireproof.

The Great Dismantling: This is not a static civilization; it is a mobilization. Cities are being systematically stripped of resources to feed the orbital shipyards. The civilization is transitioning from a "Planetary Empire" to a "Resettlement Fleet".

    2. Atmospheric Conditions

       Composition: Carbon-Compound Atmosphere.

Visor View: To an Oxygen-breather (Lio/Ringel), the air likely appears thick or hazy due to the carbon density.

Toxicity: The atmosphere is unbreathable to most Galactic Alliance species. Visitors require full environmental isolation suits, not just filtration masks.

The Scale of Comfort: While toxic to others, this environment supports the massive biological engines of the Ssarith. Their green flesh thrives here, and they possess a natural resistance to disease that makes their cities biologically robust.

    3. Titan-Architecture: Building for the 8-Ton Citizen

Ssarith infrastructure is built to a scale that dwarfs even Krakun slave-paths.

The Weight Factor: An average Ssarith weighs 7,200 kg (8 tons).

Flooring: Standard polymers or wood are useless. Floors are constructed from industrial-grade reinforced composites or stone to prevent residents from falling through the building.

Doorways: Arches are built 4.5 meters (15 ft) high and several meters wide to accommodate their massive hoods and shoulders.

The Ramp City: As a serpentine species with no legs, the Ssarith do not use stairs.

Verticality: Multi-level structures feature wide, spiraling ramps with high-friction surfacing. Lifts exist for cargo, but the population prefers to slither.

    4. Social Infrastructure: The "Cuddle" Economy

Ssarith urban planning revolves around their asexual, unit-based biology.

Housing (The Pit): There are no "single-occupancy" apartments. Homes are designed for the Unit.

The Bedroom: The centerpiece of any home is a large, sunken, padded area known as the "Cuddle Pit." Ssarith are expected to sleep in large piles with their unit to exchange DNA and maintain social bonds.

Temperature: These areas are likely kept warm to facilitate the "love biting" and hood-contact required for reproduction.

Reproductive Logistics: Child-rearing is communal. Nurseries are state-run or unit-run facilities where "Clutch-Nurses" raise eggs that were laid on the same cycle.

    5. Temporal & Work Logic

The 60-Hour Day: Ssarith biology runs on a massive 60-hour circadian rhythm.

Shift Work: Their society does not operate on the standard Galactic "24-hour" clock. A Ssarith work shift might last 20+ hours, followed by a long hibernation-style sleep. This makes trade/diplomacy with faster-paced species (like the Ringel) administratively difficult.

Hierarchy of Trust: Workplaces operate on "Logical Empathy." There are no overseers with whips. Lower-ranked individuals trust their superiors to utilize them efficiently, and superiors view it as a moral imperative to maximize the satisfaction of their subordinates. It is a seamless, frictionless bureaucracy.

    6. The Visitor Experience: The Safe Harbor

Despite their terrifying appearance (14-meter armored cobras), a Ssarith world is a sanctuary.

The Honor Code: It is a matter of high honor for a Ssarith to "protect the weak."

The Dynamic: A Lio visitor is essentially a "small, fragile thing" to a Ssarith. The Ssarith will go to extreme lengths to ensure the visitor is not stepped on, poisoned by the air, or threatened. They view themselves as Fair Judges and Guardians.

No Temples: You will find no churches or fiction libraries. The culture is grounded entirely in History and Reality. They revere "Heroes of Record" rather than myths. The closest thing to a "Temple" is a Hall of Records or a monument to a past evacuation leader.

    1. Vital Statistics & Taxonomy

       Scientific Class: Mammalian (Placental).

       Physical Scale:

Avg Height: 1.1 meters (approx. 3'7").

Avg Weight: 25 kg (approx. 55 lbs).

       Lifespan:

        Mean Old Age: ~150 KY.

        Max Known: 350 KY (Rare).

       Atmosphere: Ammonia-Breathing.

Diet: Carnivores (Must eat meat, but not solely).

       Biology:

        Flesh: Violet interior.

        Blood: Blue.

    2. Appearance & Physiology: The "Rubber" Raccoon

To an observer, the Coosa resemble anthropomorphic Raccoons or Tanukis, defined by a distinctively round and soft appearance.

The Silhouette: Coosa are arboreal and strictly adhere to the biological rule of "ABC" (Always Be Chubby). Regardless of activity level, they maintain a layer of adipose tissue.

Strength: Despite their chubby appearance, they are strong and lightweight enough to lift themselves by their paws, as required for their tree-climbing lifestyle.

Coat & Color: High uniformity. They are almost exclusively brown and tan, with very low color variation across the species. Their fur is noted for being "incredibly soft".

    Features:

Hands/Feet: Four fingers and five toes. The pads are often purple.

Tail: Bushy but not prehensile; "not used for much".

    The "Squish" Factor:

Resilience: Coosa are highly resilient, not through hardness, but through Flexibility. Their bones and organs are designed to "squash out of shape" on blunt impact rather than shatter.

Terminal Velocity: On their homeworld (which has light gravity), a Coosa can survive a fall from terminal velocity simply because they bounce. (Though landing on their head is still dangerous—they are not infinitely plastic).

G-Force Resistance: Their ability to compress makes them naturally resistant to high G-forces, making some Coosa skilled pilots.

Krakun Review: The Krakun claim Coosa "taste rubbery".

    3. Environmental Tolerance

Atmosphere: They are Ammonia Breathers, placing them in the same hazardous environmental category as the Geordians (who breathe an Ammonia mix).

Gravity: Their homeworld, Coosatec, has "rather light" gravity, which aided their evolution as bouncing, arboreal climbers.

    4. Culture & Society: The Clockwork Arborealists

Nature Reverence: Coosa hold a high regard for nature, especially trees. Before the Krakun conquest, their civilization left their world largely untouched.

Housing: Most live in Arboreal Villages high in the canopy or in cliff-like citadels of stone. They prefer trees to open plains.

    Technology (The Clockwork Rebellion):

Despite access to advanced Krakun technology, Coosa prefer Natural Energy and Clockwork Machinery.

The Spyware Defense: This preference annoys their Krakun overlords because it is extremely difficult to insert digital spyware or tracking devices into mechanical clockwork devices.

    Domestic Life:

Sleeping: Due to the structure of their adipose tissue (fat), Coosa cannot lay flat comfortably. They refuse to use flat beds, preferring Hammocks or "cradle beds" that support their round shape.

Child Rearing: Tiny cubs cling to the mother's back during the early years (0-3 years).

    5. Clothing

Minimalism: Like most sapient species in this sector, they wear a minimum of clothing, especially in regulated environments. When they do dress, it is functional, often accommodating their chubby build and climbing needs.

Coosa Naming Conventions Coosa names are characteristically short, bouncy, and vowel-heavy, often mimicking the high-pitched chirps and whistles of their native vocalizations. They favor "soft" consonants and affricates like Ch, J, Sh, and L (e.g., Chendra, Jia, Losh), avoiding the harsh guttural stops of the Krakun or the deep resonance of the Lio. Because Coosa society is deeply communal and lacks the rigid hierarchy of the Empire, they rarely use titles in casual conversation. Instead, they place heavy emphasis on Contextual Nicknames—affectionate or descriptive monikers given by their "skulk" (family group) that often supersede their birth names in daily life. To know a Coosa’s real birth name is a sign of friendship; to know their "skulk name" is a sign of family.

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

    1. Planetary Status: The Bouncy World

       Gravity: Low/Light.

The Terminal Velocity Hack: Coosatec (the homeworld) possesses significantly lower gravity than the galactic standard. This, combined with the Coosa’s naturally "squishy" biology, allows the locals to survive falls from terminal velocity. On their home planet, a Coosa falling from the stratosphere doesn't splatter—they bounce.

Caution: While they can bounce, landing on one's head is still dangerous; they are not infinitely plastic.

       Atmosphere: Ammonia-Rich.

Toxicity: To Oxygen-breathers (Humans/Lio), the air is toxic and pungent, smelling of industrial cleaner. Visitors require full filtration masks to survive.

    2. Urban Architecture: The Nature-State

Coosa civilization is defined by a refusal to pave over nature. Even after the Krakun conquest, they prioritize the preservation of trees over open plains.

Arboreal Villages: The majority of the population lives in the canopy. Homes are woven into the massive trees of Coosatec, utilizing verticality rather than horizontal sprawl.

Stone Citadels: Where trees are unavailable, Coosa build "cliff-like citadels of stone." These structures mimic the verticality of trees, favoring climbing paths over flat roads.

    Interior Design (The Anti-Flat Bed):

The Anatomy Problem: Due to the structure of their adipose tissue (fat), Coosa physically cannot lay flat comfortably.

The Solution: You will not find flat mattresses in a Coosa home. Bedrooms are furnished with Hammocks or "cradle-beds" designed to support their round shape and keep their spine curved.

    3. Technology: The Clockwork Rebellion

Coosa worlds possess a unique "Retro-Futurist" aesthetic that serves a distinct strategic purpose.

The Analog Preference: Despite having access to advanced Krakun electronics, the Coosa stubbornly prefer Clockwork Machinery and Natural Energy (wind, water, and tension-springs).

The Spyware Defense: This is not just nostalgia; it is resistance. The Krakun Empire relies on digital surveillance to control subject populations. By keeping their technology mechanical and analog, the Coosa make it "hard to insert spyware," frustrating their Overlords' attempts to monitor their private conversations.

    4. Society & Physiology

The "ABC" Rule: Coosa culture adheres to the biological imperative of "Always Be Chubby" (ABC). Even active scouts and pilots maintain a layer of adipose tissue.

    The Pilot Class:

G-Force Resistance: Their ability to "squash" and compress their organs makes them naturally resistant to high G-forces. Consequently, Coosa make exceptional Combat Pilots, capable of pulling maneuvers that would black out a Human or Lio.

Child-Rearing: Families are close-knit. Young cubs (0-3 years) spend their time clinging physically to their mother's back as she climbs, integrating them into the 3D environment from birth.

    5. The Occupation: The Unwanted Subject

Krakun Relations: The Krakun occupy Coosatec, but they find the Coosa to be "annoying" subjects.

Rubbery Meat: The Krakun (who are carnivorous) complain that Coosa "taste rubbery," sparing them from the livestock fate of other species.

Passive Resistance: The Coosa do not fight with guns; they fight by being difficult to manage. Their clockwork tech is incompatible with Krakun networks, and their squishy bodies are hard to punish physically without accidental death.

    1. Vital Statistics & Taxonomy

       Scientific Class: Mammalian (Placental).

       Physical Scale:

        Avg Height: 1.7 – 1.8 meters (approx. 5'7" – 5'11").

        Avg Weight: 80 – 100 kg (approx. 176 – 220 lbs).

        Lifespan:

            Max Known: ~150 KY.

Planetary Acquisitions Limit: Slaves in this program are generally limited to a max age of 60.

            Adolescence: ~16 KY.

       Atmosphere: Oxygen-Breathing (Preference: 24% Oxygen, 73% Nitrogen).

Diet: Omnivorous (Prefer cooked food; their brains have high energy demands).

    2. Appearance & Physiology: The "Otter-Roo"

To an observer, the Geroo appear as a blend of otter and kangaroo-like features.

The Silhouette: They possess a plantigrade stance (walking on soles, not toes) with wide hips and strong, relatively short legs.

Tail: Thick and muscular. While less articulate than a hand, it is strong enough to support their weight or act as a "third leg" for leverage.

Body Type: "Rotundness" is considered normal and a sign of health/fertility. Thickness is generally considered attractive in both sexes.

    Features:

Hands: Five fingers with opposable thumbs.

Feet: Five toes; middle toes are longest and strongest.

Ears: Short but large. They are highly expressive; Geroo emote primarily with their ears, not their mouths.

Fur: Most commonly pale brown with a light-colored belly. Some have irregular blotches (considered "cub-like" but cute) or manes (uncommon).

Sexual Dimorphism: Minimal. Females are usually wider at the hips, but males can have wide hips too. Height and overt musculature are considered "masculine" traits.

    3. Reproduction & Anatomy

The Pouch: Females possess a pouch with a tight sphincter opening. It remains shallow until pregnancy/nursing, at which point it stretches and deepens.

Scruffing (The Submission Reflex): The loose skin on the back of the neck (scruff) has a psycho-sexual component.

Effect: Tugging or pulling the scruff of an aroused female triggers a reflexive submission response, decoupling her sense of time, location, and surroundings. This effect is present in males but is significantly diminished.

Mating Rituals: Geroo are informal. No ceremony is required save for an Exchange of Beads (necklaces). Premarital and extramarital sex are generally considered uncontroversial so long as they are consensual and agreed upon.

The Lock: The female anatomy includes a "lock" (labia) that shuts tight when unaroused. During intercourse, orgasm causes the lock to tighten around the male, triggering a panic reflex in the male to pull away, which provides the necessary pressure for release.

    4. History: The Diaspora

The Geroo are a tragic species defined by displacement. They are "Newcomers" who lost their homeworld shortly after entering the galactic scene.

    Homeworld: Gerootec (Destroyed/Lost/Renamed by Krakun).

The Conquest: Krakun colonizers arrived and shattered the existing political structures (Medieval Gerootec), unifying the Geroo under a forced shared mythology before scattering them.

    Current Population Distribution:

Krakuntec Prime (Slaves): ~20 Million (Serving general slave functions).

        Refugees (Liotec II): ~16 Million.

        Planetary Acquisitions: ~5 Million.

        Colony Slaves: ~1 Million.

        Wanderers/Pirates: ~700,000.

    5. Culture & Society

    Clothing: "Sensible" minimalism.

Essentials: They favor sashes, scarves, armbands, and bandanas.

Beads: A major cultural staple. Most cultures have a tradition of Beaded Necklaces worn for life (usually 5 beads for males, 8 for females). These are often exchanged during mating.

    Communication:

Ear-Talk: Humans often misread Geroo because they look at the mouth. Geroo emotion is conveyed via ear position.

Scent: They also express emotions like anxiety via scent.

    Religion:

        Pre-Diaspora: Pantheistic/Animistic beliefs.

Post-Diaspora: The Krakun forced a consolidation of beliefs into a form of Ancestor Worship, claiming all Geroo share a common ancestor. Since the diaspora, old pantheons have largely been discarded, though some groups cling to animism.

    6. Variations

Coat Patterns: While pale brown is standard, "highly irregular" fur patterns or blotches are seen. These are considered "cub-like".

Manes: Although uncommon, the fur around the neck and head can grow long, forming a mane.

Physique: While thickness is the norm, some Geroo develop overt musculature, which is viewed as an "exotic" form of attractiveness.

Geroo Naming Conventions Geroo names are characteristically short, melodic, and unthreatening, typically consisting of two syllables with a heavy emphasis on open vowels and soft consonants (e.g., Talli, Miri, Paka). This phonetic structure is thought to have evolved from their need to whisper and communicate quickly in the warrens without alerting predators. In Galactic Basic, Geroo rarely use surnames; due to centuries of slavery and displacement where families were routinely separated, a Geroo's "public" name is often solitary. However, their true lineage and clan identity are communicated non-verbally through Ear-Talk (subtle, encoded movements of the ears) and the specific patterns of their Beaded Necklaces, which tell a family history far more complex than their simple spoken names suggest.

    1. The Lost Homeworld: Gerootec

Status: Occupied / Renamed. Following the Krakun conquest, the planet known as "Gerootec" was stripped of its original name and cultural identity.

History: Before the invasion, it was the site of "Medieval Gerootec," a world of pantheistic and animistic nations. The Krakun arrived, dismantled the worldwide political power structures, and enforced a unified monoculture of Ancestor Worship to make the population easier to control.

Current State: It is likely a Krakun industrial colony now. The original Geroo population was scattered to the winds.

    2. Major Enclaves (Where they live now)

The Geroo population is split into three distinct existence-states: A. The Slave Quarters (Krakuntec Prime)

    Population: ~20 Million.

Life: The single largest concentration of Geroo in the universe lives on the Krakun Throneworld. They serve "general slave functions."

The Vibe: High-density, regulated housing. Geroo here are likely stripped of their bead-culture and forced into the uniformity of the Krakun industrial machine. They live in the "Micro-Veins" of the Titan-cities, scurrying in maintenance tunnels too small for their masters.

    B. The Refugee Camps (Liotec II)

    Population: ~16 Million.

Life: This is the closest thing to a "Free Geroo" society. Hosting the bulk of the escaped population, Liotec II is a sanctuary world.

Architecture: Likely dense, makeshift cities that have become permanent. The culture here is a desperate preservation of the "Old Ways"—animism, bead-making, and ear-language—trying to survive in the shadow of the Lio Empire.

    C. The Void (Planetary Acquisitions & Arks)

The Employees: ~5 Million Geroo are employed by the "Planetary Acquisitions" division. They work on the front lines of exploration, often in dangerous, uncharted space.

The Wanderers: ~700,000 Geroo live on "Ark populations," pirate ships, or as vagabonds. These are the true nomads, living entirely on ships, often serving as crew for Ringel privateers or Lio merchants.

    3. Planetary Environment Preference

    Atmosphere: Oxygen-Standard.

Ideal Mix: 24% Oxygen, 73% Nitrogen.

Comfort: They prefer a climate similar to Earth (21°C). Unlike the chemically exotic worlds of the Anup (Bromine) or Kyacaotl (Chlorine), Geroo require standard, clean air, making them easy to house on Lio worlds but requiring masks on Krakun worlds.

    4. Society: The Beads & The Ears

Wherever Geroo gather, distinct social patterns emerge:

The Bead Economy: In refugee camps, Beads are likely a major currency of trust. A Geroo wears their history on their neck (traditionally 5 strands for males, 8 for females). Exchanging beads is a vow of intimacy or alliance.

Non-Verbal Space: A Geroo district is quieter than a Human one. Much of their conversation happens via Ear-Emoting and Scent. A Geroo can express "Anxiety" purely through smell, meaning a Geroo crowd smells fearful before it sounds fearful.

Diet: Because their brains have "high energy demands," Geroo prefer Cooked Food. A Geroo district will always be filled with the smell of roasting meats and hot meals, as raw rations are insufficient for their metabolism.

    1. Vital Statistics & Taxonomy

       Scientific Class: Mammalian (Placental).

Homeworld: Ar (also known as Montrosetec).

       Atmosphere: Carbon-Compound Breathing.

Diet: Omnivorous (though they "particularly like eggs").

       Lifespan: ~120 KY (Max Known).

       Biology:

        Blood: Blue-Green.

        Flesh: Pale Green.

    2. Appearance & Physiology: The Spotted Weasel

To an observer, the Montrose appears as a large, spotted mustelid (weasel/stoat) with a massive, bushy tail.

Extreme Sexual Dimorphism: They are defined by a massive size difference between sexes, which often confuses alien observers who assume the larger ones are male.

Females: Avg Height: 2.1m (approx. 6'10") | Avg Weight: 75 kg.

Males: Avg Height: 1.5m (approx. 4'11") | Avg Weight: 50 kg.

    Movement:

Walking: They stand upright to walk the majority of the time.

Running: They only run on all fours. They are incredibly fast runners and possess quick reflexes.

    Coat:

Pattern: All Montrose tend to have spots, splotches, or rosettes, sometimes with stripes.

Tail: Large and "boofy," used for counterbalance.

Pads: Their paw pads (4 fingers, 4 toes) are soft for swift, quiet movement. They do not get rough or calloused even with intense activity.

    3. Sociology: The Matriarchy

Demographics: Males outnumber females 2 to 1.

Role Reversal: Due to the size difference and population ratio, Montrose society is a Matriarchy.

Females: Practice management, politics, religion, and science (the "heady subjects").

Males: Expected to do physical labor and look pretty. They are expected to be well-groomed and "beautified," often keeping their genitals on display even when clothed. Makeup (with green foundation) is common for males.

Modern Friction: In modern societies on Ar, males are beginning to break out of these social roles, though they face pushback from traditionalists.

    4. Reproduction & "Playtheft"

    Mating Structure:

Polyandry: The most common arrangement is One Female having 1-3 Husbands.

Clan Marriages: Also common are groups where 2-3 Females share 4-6 Males.

    Playtheft (The Sport of Seduction):

Biology: Female Montrose ovulate more when bedding unique males.

The Game: This biological drive has evolved into a cultural practice called "Playtheft," where females actively try to seduce and "steal" males from other marriages. This is considered healthy competition.

Status: The more powerful a female is, the more she takes offense to having her males stolen. However, in the event of a fight, society usually blames the female rival, not the male (who is expected to be an enthusiastic participant).

    5. History & Politics: The Atomic Age

Civilization Status: Unusually for this sector, the Montrose entered the Atomic Age on their own, without uplift or conquest.

Geopolitics: Their world (Modern Ar) is currently riven by bitter divisions propagated through war and nationalist policy. It is a volatile world of "isolated tribal villages" existing alongside nuclear-capable modern states.

Religion: 80% of the population is Monotheistic, though they disagree vehemently on "what that particular God is and how many mates She has".

    6. Clothing

Minimalism: Like most "sensible species," they wear a minimum of clothing.

Gloves/Boots: If they wear shoes or boots, they will typically wear matching gloves.

Male Fashion: Males are expected to dress decoratively rather than practically.

Montrose Naming Conventions Montrose names are strictly codified by gender, reflecting their rigid matriarchy and industrial-feudal society on the world of Ar. Female names are static, imposing, and often reminiscent of Victorian or Edwardian aristocracy (e.g., Victoria, Beatrice, Rosalind), designed to project stability and authority. A female Montrose keeps her clan name for life, as she is considered the "Anchor" of the family unit.

In contrast, male names are often diminutive, soft, or aesthetic (e.g., Pip, Beau, Julian), reflecting their societal role as "decorative" consorts. Crucially, a male Montrose does not possess a permanent surname. His last name is legally that of his current wife or mother. Because of the cultural practice of Playtheft (where males are aggressively seduced or "stolen" by rival females), a male’s surname is considered fluid; it changes the moment he is claimed by a new partner, marking him as a "transferred asset" rather than a lineage holder.

    1. Planetary Status: The Atomic Tinderbox

       Civilization Level: Atomic Age.

The Anomaly: Unlike many species in the sector who were uplifted or conquered early, the Montrose reached the Atomic Age independently. Consequently, they possess nuclear weapons and advanced industry but lack planetary unification.

Geopolitics: Fractured & Hostile. The planet is riven by bitter divisions driven by nationalist policy and war. It is not a safe, unified empire; it is a collection of rival nation-states aiming nuclear weapons at one another.

The Divide: While modern metropolises exist, large swathes of the planet (islands and dense jungles) are still home to isolated tribal villages that have not yet industrialized.

    2. Planetary Environment

       Atmosphere: Carbon-Compound.

Toxicity: To an Oxygen-breather (Human/Lio), the air is toxic. Visitors require full environmental seals.

Geography: The reference specifically notes "dense jungles" and "islands," suggesting a hot, humid, and biologically active biosphere.

    3. Society: The Matriarchal State

A Montrose city feels fundamentally different from a standard Galactic Alliance world due to its rigid, biological caste system.

The Gender Ratio: Males outnumber females 2 to 1.

    The Division of Labor:

Females (The Architects): You will see giant females (2.1m tall) in positions of authority: politicians, scientists, managers, and priests. They run the world.

Males (The Labor & The Beauty): The smaller males (1.5m tall) are the workforce. They perform the physical labor (construction, industry) but are also the "decorative" sex.

    Street Fashion:

Male Glamour: It is culturally expected for males to look "well-groomed and beautified." A typical street scene involves males wearing makeup (green foundation is standard) and clothing designed to show off their bodies, specifically keeping genitals on display.

Female Utility: Females are more likely to be dressed for power or utility, though they appreciate the "scenery" provided by the males.

    4. Culture: The Game of Theft

Playtheft: Social tension is often resolved through "Playtheft," where females aggressively seduce and "steal" males from other marriages or clans.

The Vibe: A Montrose social gathering is highly charged. Females are constantly posturing and competing for status, while males are expected to be enthusiastic participants in being "stolen."

Jealousy: While society views this as healthy competition, jealousy fights are common. However, the blame is almost always placed on the Rival Female for being a thief, never on the Male (who is seen as a prize to be won).

    5. Religion: The Heretical Monotheism

The Goddess: 80% of Ar follows a Monotheistic religion centered on a Female Deity.

The Conflict: Despite agreeing on the Goddess, the nations "disagree vehemently" on the details—specifically, "How many mates She has." Religious wars are fought over the specific polyandrous arrangement of the Divine.

    6. The "Vibe"

The Feeling: Tense and Glamorous. It is a world on the brink of nuclear war, run by giant Amazonian weasels. The streets are filled with pretty, makeup-wearing laborers and aggressive, political matriarchs. It combines the aesthetic of a high-stakes beauty pageant with the paranoia of the Cold War.

Avg Height: 30 cm (approx. 12 inches).

Avg Weight: 0.5 kg (approx. 1.1 lbs).

        Lifespan:

Average: ~20 KY (Most expect to only see their 20th birthday).

Old Age: 30 KY is considered exceedingly old.

Max Known: 90 KY (Only possible through extreme medical intervention like brain transplanting, generally considered not worth the cost).

       Atmosphere: Oxygen-Breathing.

       Diet: Obligate Herbivores.

       Biology:

        Flesh: Pink.

        Blood: Red.

    2. Appearance & Physiology: The "Mouse" Analog

To an observer, the Mysa appear as tiny, bipedal mice.

The Silhouette: Extremely small stature with large, round ears and a long tail. They have bare skin on their noses, ears, hands, feet, and the majority of their tails.

The Tail: Roughly the length of their body. It is fully prehensile and as strong as an arm, capable of supporting their entire body weight.

Teeth: Their teeth grow continually. Even on an industrial diet, they use chewing sticks to keep them worn down.

Reflexes: Due to the small space between their neurons, Mysa possess very quick reflexes.

    Coat:

Colors: Gray, brown, white, black, red, and yellow.

Patterns: Asymmetrical, splotchy patterns are common.

Manes: Mysa naturally have manes, but they only started growing them out and styling them after contact with the Lio.

    3. Sexuality & The Heat Cycle

Mysa biology is defined by an intense male heat cycle (or rut).

Male Heat: Unlike many species, Mysa males are the ones who go into heat.

Effect: It is an extremely powerful force resulting in outward expressions of anger, frustration, and occasionally violence.

Resolution: This state can only be sated through more intercourse than a single female can usually handle.

Segregation: Because of this biological volatility, male and female Mysa typically live separately.

Male Hostels: Fertile males often live in their own communities, camps, or hostels.

Management: Traditional methods for males to participate in society include castration, anti-heat drugs, or "Heat Surgery" (which removes the cycle while keeping fertility).

Relationships: Despite this, different-sex relationships and families are maintained, and modern Mysa treat same-sex relationships as normal and common.

    4. Society & Culture: The Short Life

The Time Limit: The average Mysa lives only 20 years. This short lifespan brings their lives into extreme focus.

One Goal: The average Mysa will only be able to accomplish one thing before they die. Therefore, their choice of career is exceptionally important.

Virtue: Sacrifice for the common good is considered the greatest Mysa virtue.

Krakun Assessment: The Krakun considered the Mysa "far too small to be useful as slaves".

    Religion:

Jiahnism: While Mysa had their own traditions, many were co-opted by the Lio's religion (Jiahnism). This helped unify them, but many Mysa still feel resentment that their original traditions were discarded in favor of integration.

    5. History & Living Situation

The Conquest: Mysatec (homeworld) was conquered by the Krakun ages ago.

The Exodus: A large portion of the population managed to flee and now lives on Liotec and Liotec II (Costaruna and Alpha-Zarynj).

Lio Relations: While relations are officially "highly cordial," the Lio's policies attempting to keep the rapid Mysa population under control have been historically over-harsh, leading to lingering conflict and resentment.

    6. Clothing

Accessories: Mysa commonly wear cloth as accessories (scarves, shawls) rather than full garments.

Makeup: Both males and females may wear makeup.

Mysa Naming Conventions Mysa names are characteristically short, sharp, and rapid, designed to be spoken quickly in the high-density environment of their warrens. They favor high-frequency vowels and dental consonants (e.g., Twik, Misa, Riki, Pipp), often sounding like brief chirps to larger ears. Due to their immense reproductive rates and large family units, unique names are a luxury; as a result, Mysa culture relies heavily on Generational Suffixes or Hab-Identifiers to distinguish individuals (e.g., "Miko of the Third Warren" or "Twik-Jr."). In formal documentation, they often include their Mother’s Name as a middle identifier, as lineage is tracked through the matriarch in their sprawling family trees. To outsiders, their names can seem repetitive, but to a Mysa, the subtle inflection used when saying "Pip" can distinguish a brother from a cousin instantly.

    1. Political Status: The Guest Population

The Lost Homeworld: Mysatec was conquered by the Krakun ages ago and is likely now a striped-mining colony or industrial waste. The Mysa no longer control it.

The New Home: The majority of the free Mysa population now lives on Liotec and Liotec II (Costaruna and Alpha-Zarynj).

Lio Relations: While officially "highly cordial," the relationship is tense. The Lio act as protectors but also as wardens. Lio policies attempting to control the rapid Mysa population growth have been "historically over-harsh," resulting in lingering resentment among the Mysa, who feel their culture is being suppressed.

    2. Urban Architecture: The Small Scale

    A Mysa district is a surreal experience for a standard-sized visitor (Human/Lio).

Scale: Everything is built for beings 30 cm (12 inches) tall.

The "Big" World: Mysa districts often exist within larger Lio cities. To a Mysa, a Lio street is a canyon. To a Lio, a Mysa district looks like a dense, intricate model city that they must be careful not to step on.

Verticality: Mysa possess prehensile tails as strong as arms. Consequently, their architecture utilizes vertical space aggressively. You will see walkways, hanging bars, and climbing poles that require a tail to navigate effectively.

Density: Due to their small size and rapid reproduction, Mysa enclaves are incredibly dense. They are bustling, high-energy hives of activity.

    3. Social Geography: The Heat Separation

Mysa city planning is dictated by the Male Heat Cycle. Because fertile males in heat become aggressively violent/frustrated, they cannot safely live in the general population.

The Split: Cities are often divided into General Population (Females, children, elderly, infertile males) and Male Communities.

The Hostels: Fertile males typically live in their own hostels or camps. These are not prisons, but managed communities where males can socialize and work off their aggression away from the triggers of the general populace.

Integration: Interaction happens, but it is regulated. A "traditional" male might undergo castration or take anti-heat drugs to live in the family zones, while others accept the hostel life as the cost of fertility.

    4. The Tempo of Life

The 20-Year Rush: The average Mysa lives only 20 years.

Career Focus: A Mysa Enclave feels frantic. There is no time to "find yourself." A Mysa usually has time to accomplish only one major thing in their life. Education is fast, apprenticeships are short, and work is intense.

The Vibe: To a long-lived species (like the 500-year-old Ssarith), a Mysa city looks like a blur of motion. Trends change weekly; generations pass in the blink of an eye.

    5. Religion & Culture

Jiahnism: You will see Lio religious iconography everywhere. The Lio religion (Jiahnism) helped unify the scattered Mysa refugees, but it also displaced their native traditions.

Community Maintenance: The core of Mysa social life is "maintaining the community." Because individuals die so young, the Institution matters more than the Person. Guilds, clans, and neighborhood councils are powerful, providing the continuity that individual lifespans cannot.

    6. Economy

Herbivore Agriculture: As obligate herbivores, Mysa food production is entirely plant-based.

The Niche: Being too small for heavy labor (and considered useless by the Krakun), Mysa in Lio space likely fill niches requiring dexterity, speed, and precision—electronics assembly, textiles, or bureaucratic processing where their quick reflexes are an asset.

    1. Vital Statistics & Taxonomy

       Scientific Class: Mammalian (Placental).

       Physical Scale:

Avg Height: 1 meter (approx. 3'3").

Note: Genetic modification can result in Ulavavi of up to double height (~2m).

Avg Weight: 80 kg (approx. 176 lbs).

        Lifespan: 390 KY (~450 Ayavi).

Maturity: Reached around 23 KY (20 Ayavi).

       Atmosphere: Oxygen-Breathing.

       Diet: Omnivorous (Leaning Insectivore).

       Biology:

        Flesh/Blood: Blue (Hemocyanin-based).

Internal Organs: Sex organs are internal.

    2. Appearance & Physiology: The "Pangolin" Analog

To an observer, the Ulavavi appears as a stout, armored pangolin-like biped.

The Silhouette: They are covered in keratinous scales largely on their backs, with short fur covering the rest of the body (typically brown/yellow). They possess a thick, armored tail.

    Locomotion:

Stance: They usually stand about as tall as their tails are long.

Movement: They most often stoop to walk or run.

Rolling: They can curl into balls and roll for protected movement. Nearly their entire body can be armored in this state due to a "pouch" in the tail skin/muscle that allows legs to tuck in.

    Features:

Hands/Feet: Four fingers, three toes. Claws are thick and strong, designed for digging.

Tongue: Extremely long (up to 1 meter).

Scales: These are treated as a canvas. Going unpainted is seen as "anonymizing nakedness," useful only for spies or criminals.

    3. Gender & Sexuality: The Ambiguous Self

Biological Ambiguity: Ulavavi are entirely gender-ambiguous in appearance. While females typically grow breasts, males are not necessarily excluded from this trait, and sex organs are internal.

Identity: Gender is decoupled from sex. It is viewed as a "Club Membership" or a form of expression rather than an intrinsic trait.

Pups: Considered genderless until their 20th birthday, at which point they can declare their gender.

Relationships: They are almost strictly pansexual and polyamorous.

Clades: Families are called "Clades" and consist of as many Ulavavi as wish to join. Marriage exists for legal contracts but is rarely a requirement for intimacy.

    4. History: The Socialist Rebellion

The Conquest: Twelve hundred years ago, the Ulavavi were enslaved by an expeditionary fleet of Geordians (whose experiment with Gate Technology nearly destroyed the Ulavavi homeworld).

The Ulavavi Polity: In response to centuries of enslavement, they formed a Socialist Government. They reverse-engineered Krakun and Geordian technology from ship wreckages to free themselves.

    Current Culture:

Worlders: Idealists who believe they should spread the goodness of the Ulavavi governance systems to other worlds. They tend to treat their scales as canvases for Art (elaborate scenes/patterns).

Spacers/Nomads: More cosmopolitan and cynical, owing to their position on the front lines receiving emancipated slaves. They treat their scales as Storytelling mediums (showing achievements).

Employment: Work culture focuses on maintaining employment between ages 50 and 200. Entrepreneurship is encouraged, but Corporatization is viewed suspiciously as "emulating the Krakun".

    5. Terminology: "Palowan"

Definition: "Palowan" originally referred to diasporic Ulavavi. Now, it indicates anyone who lives off-planet or is an alien.

Inclusion: Any alien can be considered a Palowan if their loyalty is proven.

Usage: "Ul' are all Ulayavi, while not all Palowan are Ul'." Some Worlders use it as a pejorative for "warmongers".

    6. Clothing

Minimalism: Like most "sensible species," they wear a minimum of clothing, especially in regulated environments. The focus of personal adornment is on Scale Painting rather than fabric.

Ulavavi Naming Conventions Ulavavi names are strictly egalitarian and gender-neutral, reflecting a society where individuals do not declare a gender identity until their 20th year (the "Declaration"). Birth names are typically soft, bisyllabic, and melodious (e.g., Varnu, Lomi, Rell), designed to be indistinguishable by sex. In their communal culture, the Clade Name is the primary identifier and is always spoken first in formal introductions (e.g., Clade-Oren Varnu). This syntax emphasizes that the collective family unit is more important than the individual. Unlike the hierarchical titles of the Krakun or Lio, Ulavavi actively reject honorifics (like "Sir" or "Lord"), viewing them as relics of their past enslavement by the Geordians; instead, they address everyone as "Kin" or "Cousin" regardless of rank.

    1. Governance & Politics: The Polity

The System: Ulayavi worlds operate under a Socialist Government formed in response to hundreds of years of enslavement.

Ideology: They are idealists who believe they should "spread the goodness" of their governance to other worlds. They view the exploitative monopolies of the Krakun (and the hierarchies of the Lio) with deep suspicion.

The Cultural Divide: Governance is split between two mindsets:

Worlders: The planetary population. They are Utopian idealists who focus on art and philosophy. They sometimes view the military/spacers as "warmongers".

Palowan (The Spacers): The Nomads, Navy, and Station-dwellers. They are cosmopolitan and cynical, living on the front lines of the conflict with the Krakun. To a Worlder, a Palowan is rough; to a Palowan, a Worlder is naive.

Economic Philosophy: Ulayavi work culture focuses on maintaining employment between the ages of 50 and 200. While entrepreneurship is encouraged, Corporatization is viewed with extreme hostility. Any organization seeking to emulate Krakun-style labor exploitation is immediately distrusted.

    2. Planetary Environment

       Atmosphere: Oxygen-Standard.

Geography: Ulayavi are natural diggers with thick, strong claws. Consequently, their worlds often feature extensive Earthworks. Cities are likely integrated into the terrain rather than sitting on top of it, utilizing subterranean cooling or bunkers.

Open Doors: Unlike the closed borders of the Anup or the terrified isolation of the Geordians, Ulayavi worlds are inclusive. The term "Palowan" can apply to any alien whose loyalty is proven. A Lio or Ringel can become a citizen here, provided they adhere to the Polity's ideals.

    3. Urban Architecture: The Clade-Commune

Housing: You will rarely find single-occupancy homes. Society is built around "Clades"—polyamorous families consisting of as many individuals as wish to join. Architecture is designed for communal living, with large shared spaces and group sleeping quarters.

Salvage Tech: Much of their technology was originally reverse-engineered from the wreckage of Geordian/Krakun ships. Their cities often have an "industrial-functional" aesthetic, smoothed over by centuries of artistic refinement.

    4. Society: The Canvas of the Crowd

The Visual Noise: A crowd on a Ulayavi world is a riot of color.

Scale Painting: Going unpainted is taboo (seen as "anonymizing nakedness" for spies).

The Code: You can tell a local from a spacer by their back. Worlders paint elaborate scenes and art patterns (Art for Art's sake). Spacers/Palowan paint their scales with stories or achievements (Resume/CV).

Gender Neutrality: The society is visually gender-ambiguous. Pups are raised genderless until age 20. When interacting with locals, using gendered pronouns is often a guess unless the individual has explicitly "declared" their gender membership.

    5. The Vibe

The Feeling: Earnest and Colorful. It feels like a society that is trying very hard to be "Good." There is a strong sense of community and shared responsibility.

The Danger: Despite the utopian vibes, the "Palowan" element means these worlds are heavily militarized against the Krakun. The Ulayavi know what slavery is, and they have built a war machine to ensure they never go back.

Avg Weight: 685 kg (approx. 1,510 lbs).

Lifespan: Highly variable due to lifestyle.

            Theoretical Max: ~5,000 KY.

Actual: The majority rarely live past 40 KY due to violence/risk. Those who pass 40 average to 130 KY.

Atmosphere: Fluorine-Breathing (16% Fluorine, 115°C, 130 kPa). This makes their native environment hellishly toxic and hot for most other species.

       Diet: Obligate Carnivores.

Cannibalism: While they do not farm themselves for meat, they are pragmatic cannibalists who "do not let corpses go to waste".

       Biology:

Flesh/Blood: Dark violet/black flesh; Violet blood.

        Vision: Can see Infrared.

    2. Appearance & Physiology: The Tyrant Lizard

To an observer, the Turek appears as a massive, bipedal dinosaur, similar to a Tyrannosaurus Rex but with functional arms.

The Silhouette: They possess a long, heavy tail for balance. Their hands have four fingers, and feet have three toes.

    Mouth & Voice:

Tongues: They possess two tongues, allowing them to articulate a range of consonants impossible for non-Turek speakers without assistance.

Venom: They have a strong venomous bite. The venom can be injected at-will; while it loses potency quickly, it is extremely painful.

    Reproduction:

Hermaphroditic: All Turek are hermaphrodites. While they prefer mates, they are capable of self-fertilization as a last resort.

Fecundity: They can lay as many as one egg per week.

Epigenetic Memory: Turek possess a form of genetic memory. Epigenetics carry memories from parent to offspring, giving the young an "enormous boost in mental development" right out of the egg.

    3. Psychology: The Refusal to Bow

The defining trait of Turek psychology is their absolute No Fear of Death.

The Suicide Reflex: A Turek will not accept a life defined by "unrecoverable manner" (slavery, perpetual imprisonment, crippling injury). If placed in such a situation, they will kill themselves immediately, often by injecting their own venom or via other methods.

Slavery Immunity: Because of this, Turek cannot be enslaved. They prefer death over submission.

Risk Assessment: While they prefer to live, they view wealth and glory as worth the price of their lives. They routinely take on ventures with a "suitable risk of death".

    4. Society: The Flat Warrior State

Hierarchy: Turek society possesses a Flat Hierarchy.

No Exploitation: While some are wealthier or higher-ranked, Turek culture cannot abide a system of exploitation.

The Equilibrium: The ruling class must make their own offspring take up the labor/soldier jobs. This ensures that even low-ranking soldiers have excellent living conditions, as no upper-class Turek fears "working for a living".

Economy: They are not peaceful. They are Raiders.

The Raider Economy: They consider the acquisition of wealth "one of the things that makes life worth living." They have no qualms about engaging in resource wars with other species if trade is not in their favor. All soldiers benefit from these acquisitions, giving everyone a stake in perpetual war.

Domestic Life: Despite being feared across space as "barbarians," at home they highly prize luxury, art, comfort, and family.

    5. Body Art (The CV)

Turek do not wear much clothing, but they are covered in Tattoos.

The Ink: Tattoos use vivid colorations, including metallics, phosphorescents, and temperature-sensing pigments.

The Meaning: A Turek's skin is their resume. Tattoos denote:

        Clan Designation

        Badges of Honor

        Military Rank

        Confirmed Kills

        Surviving Offspring.

    6. Environmental Tolerance

    Atmosphere: Fluorine (High Pressure/High Heat).

Hazard: A Turek environment is instantly lethal to almost all other species (Fluorine is highly reactive and corrosive). Conversely, Turek require special equipment (light-bending lenses/breathers) to operate in standard Oxygen/Nitrogen environments.

Turek Naming Conventions Turek names are strictly mononymic and gender-neutral, reflecting a society of absolute equals where lineage and family connections are private matters rather than tools for social climbing. A Turek possesses only one name (e.g., Vruk, Drax, Kraz, Zor), typically consisting of a single, heavy syllable that ends in a hard consonant. This simplicity is a political statement: to hold a surname or a title implies that one belongs to a clan or a superior, which is anathema to the Turek "suicide reflex" against subjugation. When speaking Galactic Basic, Turek often adopt simple, descriptive callsigns or allow others to attach honorifics like "Captain" or "Mercenary" to their names, but among their own kind, they address each other with blunt, singular familiarity—whether speaking to a fleet admiral or a janitor—reinforcing the truth that no Turek is above another.

       Atmosphere: Fluorine-Rich (16%).

The Hazard: A Turek world is one of the most hostile environments in known space. Fluorine is hyper-reactive. To a Human, Lio, or Ringel, the air is not just toxic; it is incendiary. It turns water into acid and eats through standard glass and silicone seals.

Conditions: 115°C (239°F) and 130 kPa (High Pressure). Turek worlds are blast furnaces.

Visor View: Visitors require specialized "Class-F" hazardous environment suits made of nickel alloys or fluoropolymers. Standard environmental suits will disintegrate.

    2. Urban Architecture: The Dragon's Hoard

Despite the hellish exterior, Turek interiors are renowned for extreme opulence.

The Contrast: Turek are raiders who prize "luxury, art, comforts, and family" when at home. Consequently, their cities are not Spartan barracks; they are Palaces.

Interiors: Filled with plundered art, soft textiles, and high technology. It is a culture of "Vikings in Silk".

Scale: Architecture is built for bipedal giants averaging 3.6 meters (12 ft) tall. Hallways are cavernous, and furniture is reinforced to support nearly 1,500 lbs of occupant.

    Lighting (The Heat Vision):

Infrared: Turek can see infrared light. Their cities may appear dimly lit or oddly colored to visual-spectrum species, utilizing heat-emitters as artistic lighting.

    3. Society: The Suicide-Pact Utopia

Turek society operates on a unique "Flat Hierarchy" enforced by their biology.

    The Anti-Slavery Mechanism:

The Reflex: A Turek will instantly commit suicide (via venom injection) if faced with "unrecoverable" conditions like slavery or permanent exploitation.

The Result: This biological reflex makes tyranny impossible. The ruling class cannot exploit the working class, or the workforce will simply die.

    The Equilibrium:

Living Standards: Consequently, Turek worlds have no slums. Even low-ranking laborers and soldiers have "excellent living conditions." The upper class must make life worth living for the lower class to keep them alive.

Nepotism Reversed: The ruling class forces their own offspring to take up the dangerous jobs (soldiering/labor) to prove their worth, ensuring a cycle where everyone has a stake in the system.

    4. Economy: The Raider State

Acquisition: Turek do not farm or manufacture everything they need; they take it.

Resource Wars: They view "Acquisition of Wealth" as a primary life goal. Their economy is fueled by raiding neighbors and engaging in aggressive resource wars. If trade terms are unfavorable, they simply switch to conquest.

    Recycling (Cannibalism):

Waste Not: Turek are pragmatic. While they don't farm themselves for meat, they "do not let corpses go to waste." Funeral rites likely involve the community consuming the dead to reclaim resources.

    5. The Vibe

The Feeling: Terrifying Opulence. Walking through a Turek Citadel feels like walking through a treasure vault guarded by monsters. The walls are lined with gold and stolen masterworks, the air is hot, and the inhabitants are 12-foot tall dinosaurs who are incredibly polite but will eat you if you die.

The Danger: High. Not just from the atmosphere, but from the culture. Turek are fearless. They do not fear death, which makes them incredibly dangerous negotiators. You cannot threaten a Turek; you can only bargain with them.

    1. Vital Statistics & Taxonomy

       Scientific Class: Unknown / Unclassified.

       Physical Scale:

Avg Height: 3.7 meters (approx. 12 ft).

Avg Weight: 340 kg (approx. 750 lbs).

        Lifespan: Unknown.

Atmosphere: Variable / Adaptive. (See Autobiochemical Control).

       Diet: Variable / Adaptive.

       Biology:

        Flesh: Salmon-pink.

Sexual Dimorphism: Females are significantly taller than males. Males possess prominently large testicles.

    2. Appearance: The Giant Climber

To an observer, the Sourang appears as a colossal, lanky, arboreal primate or lemur-like creature.

The Silhouette: They are immense (3.7m), usually walking on all fours. They possess a long, prehensile tail that is very strong and excellent for gripping.

    Climbing Adaptations:

Ankles: Can rotate over 180 degrees backward, allowing for extreme climbing versatility.

Hands: Five fingers, two of which are thumbs.

Feet: Long toes with immense strength.

    Head & Face:

Ears: Massive, fixed forward (cannot fold back), and lack fur on the inside. A tattoo on the right ear is a requirement of tribal culture.

Language: Their natural language consists largely of clicks and chitters.

Coat: Patterned fur (often spots/leopard-like) covers most of the body.

    3. Physiology: Autobiochemical Control

The defining trait of the Sourang is their conscious mastery over their own biology.

The "Factory" Sense: Sourang have the innate ability to sense, classify, and understand biological processes happening inside them without external research. They view their bodies as "factories" that they manage.

Active Adaptation: With sufficient effort and meditation, a Sourang can force their body to change its inputs and outputs—altering what they need to breathe, what they can eat, and how their DNA replicates.

Scientific Impossibility: This allows them to adapt to environments that should be lethal. While the Krakun have spent 20,000 years researching genetic modification, the Sourang do this naturally.

The Gland (Transferal): Masters of this ability can force this adaptation onto other species.

The Process: They inject "primed stem cells" (The Gland) into a recipient. This creates invasive viruses that reconfigure the recipient's organs to match the Sourang's biochemistry.

Cost: The process is incredibly painful and renders the recipient sterile (due to DNA resequencing), but it grants them the Sourang's autobiochemical senses.

    4. History: The Unslavable Pest

Origin: Sourangtec. A highly unstable planet with frequent atmospheric upheavals, which forced the Sourang to evolve their extreme biological adaptability.

    The Krakun Conflict:

First Contact: The Krakun attempted to terraform Sourangtec, thinking it was uninhabited. The Sourang sabotaged them.

Enslavement Attempt: Realizing the Sourang were intelligent, the Krakun tried to pacify and enslave them.

The Failure: Unlike other species, the Sourang could not be contained. They escaped into the wilds of Krakun worlds, adapting their lungs to breathe the air and their stomachs to eat the local flora/fauna. They thrived where they should have died.

Reclassification: The Imperial Authority eventually realized they could not control the Sourang. They reclassified the species from "Slave/Pet" to "Pest." The official Krakun policy is now to eliminate them with extreme prejudice wherever found.

Current Status: Sourangtec was "flushed" and turned into Krakuntec IV. However, the Sourang were not wiped out. They now live on every Krakun colony, hiding just out of sight in the wilds or infrastructure.

    5. Psychology & Culture

Xenophobia: Sourang are highly arrogant. They consider all other intelligent species (even their conquerors, the Krakun) to be "only marginally more capable than animals".

The Promise: Their anarchic tribal system is held together by one absolute rule: Sourang do not break promises. While they may employ other deceptions, a direct promise is sacred.

Jewelry: They love jewelry but consider it sacred. They view it as offensive for non-Sourang to wear jewelry.

Clothing: Like most sensible species, they wear a minimum of clothing and rarely find the need to dress up.

Sourang Naming Conventions Sourang names are typically deep, resonant, and mononymic, reflecting their immense lung capacity and their cultural rejection of lineage or caste. A Sourang believes they are defined by their own actions, not by their ancestors or a government number; therefore, they rarely possess surnames. Names often consist of two heavy syllables with "liquid" consonants (e.g., Saquel, Roraq, Borus), which can be bellowed clearly across the large, cavernous spaces they inhabit. In their anarchistic society, to ask a Sourang for their "family name" is a faux pas, as it implies they are property of a clan. Furthermore, while the Krakun Empire officially designates them with "Vermin Control Numbers," Sourang stubbornly use their chosen names as an act of defiance, forcing even their captors to acknowledge their individual identity.

35. #35Sourang worlds

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

    1. Planetary Status: The Infestation

The Lost Homeworld: The original Sourang homeworld, Sourangtec, was a geologically unstable planet with a "highly unstable crust" and frequent atmospheric upheavals.

The Purge: The Krakun eventually conquered it, "flushed" the majority of the native population, stabilized the crust, and renamed it Krakuntec IV.

Current Distribution: Today, the Sourang do not officially own any planets. Instead, they live on every Krakun colony, existing "just out of sight" in the wilderness or forgotten infrastructure.

Status: They are officially classified as "Pests" by the Imperial Authority. Imperial policy is to eliminate them with extreme prejudice wherever found, as they are considered too dangerous to keep as slaves.

    2. Environment: The Adaptive Biosphere

       Atmosphere: Irrelevant.

Autobiochemical Control: Because Sourang can consciously reconfigure their own biology to match their environment (altering lung function, DNA replication, and dietary needs), they can inhabit zones that are lethal to their Krakun occupiers.

The "Waste" Spaces: Sourang enclaves typically form in areas the Krakun deem uninhabitable: toxic swamps, radioactive ruins, or deep jungles. The Sourang simply adapt their bodies to breathe the toxic air and eat the poisonous flora, creating safe havens where the Krakun cannot follow without heavy gear.

    3. Society: The Anarchic Shadow

Governance: Internally, they operate as Anarchic Tribes and coalitions. The Krakun initially mistook these "rudimentary institutions" for lack of intelligence, only to realize too late that the Sourang were highly sophisticated.

Xenophobia: The Enclaves are fiercely isolationist. They consider all other intelligent species (Krakun, Lio, Humans) to be "only marginally more capable than animals." They do not seek trade or alliance; they seek survival and dominance.

The Promise: The only law that holds these anarchic groups together is the Promise. Sourang do not break promises, providing the only bedrock of trust in their society.

    4. Economy & Architecture

Hidden Villages: Their settlements are primitive by choice, hidden deep in the wilds to avoid orbital detection.

Scavenging: The economy is likely parasitic, feeding off the excess and waste of the Krakun colony they are infesting.

Biotech (The Gland): Their most valuable resource is biological. Through the "Gland," they can forcefully adapt other species to the local environment, though the process is kept secret and shrouded in mysticism.

    5. The "Vibe"

The Feeling: Hostile & Hidden. A Sourang enclave feels like a guerrilla camp in the jungle. It is a place where giant, 12-foot lemurs move silently through the trees, watching you with biological arrogance.

The Threat: To the Krakun, these worlds are "haunted." A colony might be fully industrialized, but workers disappear if they wander too far from the perimeter. The Sourang are the monsters in the woods of the Krakun Empire.

    1. Vital Statistics & Taxonomy

       Scientific Class: Avian.

       Physical Scale:

        Avg Length: 4 m (approx. 13 ft).

        Avg Wingspan: 8 m (approx. 26 ft).

Avg Weight: 205 kg (approx. 450 lbs).

       Lifespan:

        Known Max: 305 KY.

        Adolescence: Ends around 30 KY.

       Atmosphere:

Preference: 23% Oxygen, 65% Nitrogen, 10% Chloride Compounds.

Chemical Resilience: Unusually, they are capable of breathing Bromine and possibly Fluorine atmospheres, making them chemically robust compared to standard oxygen-breathers.

       Diet: Obligate Pescatarians.

The Sodium Need: They rarely eat fruit or grains. Their biology requires a minimum amount of sodium; a lack of salt results in dementia-like symptoms.

    2. Appearance & Physiology: The Sea-Glider

To an observer, the Arrunian appears as a massive, penguin-colored sea eagle or albatross.

The Silhouette: They are large birds designed for gliding. Their tails are held straight out during flight, and the pattern on the tail tip is unique to every individual (like a fingerprint).

Manipulation: They can grasp objects with their claws, beaks, or forelimbs. Their primary feathers are dexterous enough to be manipulated like fingers, complete with single-jointed thumbs.

    Flight Capabilities:

Endurance: They can stay airborne for several hours (up to a day in extreme cases), typically gliding on trade winds to conserve energy.

Strength: A strong Arrunian can fly while carrying 40% of their body weight in extra burden.

Weight Sensitivity: They are susceptible to gaining fat or muscle easily, which drastically alters their flight physics.

    Coloration:

Feathers: Range from black to gray to blue.

Skin/Beak: Range from white to yellow to orange to red (80% of individuals are yellow).

    3. Sociology: The Scarcity Mindset

Arrunian culture is defined by Extreme Territoriality due to the geography of their homeworld.

The Land Crisis: The Arrunian homeworld is 93% Water. Because they require dry land to raise young and build homes, land is the ultimate scarcity.

Jingoism: This scarcity has bred a culture of extreme nationalism. There are 702 distinct republics on the planet, and fighting over the conquest of land is a constant part of their culture.

    Identity:

Surnames: Parental lineage is considered unimportant. Instead, a person's surname is their Birth City.

Xenophobia: While they respect bonds within their republic, they foster extreme jingoism toward anyone outside their borders. This makes diplomatic integration difficult.

Theatrics: Arrunian theater consists of plays depicting glorious war heroes monologuing about their love for their country. Interestingly, the names of the "Hero" and "Villain" nations are changed based on the venue to ensure the local audience always cheers for the winner.

    4. Habitat & Architecture

    Traditional Cities:

Location: Harbor towns that can sprawl for over a hundred kilometers.

Design: Drafty limestone buildings raised on struts to avoid flooding. Roofs are "swooped" to provide landing pads for the avian inhabitants.

Government: Government buildings are traditionally built at the highest elevation—the location closest to the sky.

    The Seasteads (Krakun Influence):

The Krakun have introduced floating settlements made of aluminum and titanium. These are self-sufficient (greenhouses/water purifiers).

Social Stigma: Despite being high-tech, locals view these floating cities as "Shanty Towns" for those who have lost the favor of their nation and belong to no state.

    5. Reproduction

Bonding: Arrunians take mates for life.

The Clutch: They lay 1–3 eggs per clutch. Both parents share incubation duties for 1 year.

Development: Eyases (chicks) are able to fly on their own around age 16.

    6. Politics & Religion

Governance: Each of the 702 Republics is ruled by a council of local representatives led by a "Head Speaker" who counts votes.

Religion: They worship a Monotheistic God comprised of four smaller gods representing the building blocks of their universe: Water, Stone, Air, and Sun.

Galactic Status: The Krakun discovered them only 450 KY ago. Integration and vassalage are currently underway, but the process is notably slow due to the Arrunian proclivity to despise all outsiders.

Arrunian Naming Conventions Arrunian names are characterized by a strong, rhythmic cadence and the frequent use of rolling consonants (especially 'R' and 'N') that mimic the percussive thumping of their powerful legs. Names are typically bisyllabic or trisyllabic with a "bouncing" stress pattern (e.g., Karra, Torrin, Juruna), often ending in open vowels. In their culture, which places high value on physical prowess and mobility, an individual’s name is often prefixed with a "Mob" or "Troop" Designator when in formal company (e.g., Red-Rock Torrin), rooting the nomadic individual to a specific territory or extended family group. Nicknames are extremely common and usually relate to a physical trait or a specific feat of athleticism (like "Leaper" or "Kicker"), often replacing the birth name entirely in casual conversation among peers.

37. #37Arrunian worlds

    Keys: Arrunian world

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

    1. Planetary Status: The Ocean World

       Geography: 93% Water.

The Crisis: The defining feature of an Arrunian world is the extreme scarcity of dry land. Because the species requires land to raise young, build homes, and perform daily tasks, "Land" is the single most valuable resource on the planet.

       Atmosphere: Chloride-Rich.

Composition: 23% Oxygen, 65% Nitrogen, and 10% Chloride Compounds.

The Smell: To a visitor, the air likely smells essentially of bleach or heavy salt. While breathable for Arrunians (who can even tolerate Bromine/Fluorine), the high chloride content suggests a harsh, corrosive environment for standard equipment.

    2. Urban Architecture: The Sprawl

Arrunian cities are massive, stretching linearly along the scant coastlines.

The Harbor Towns: A major city can be over 100 kilometers of continuous ports and shipyards.

    Design for Flight:

Roofs: Most buildings feature "swooped roofs" designed as landing pads for the avian inhabitants.

Struts: Domiciles are typically raised off the ground on struts to avoid tidal flooding.

Materials: "Drafty limestone buildings" are the norm for the respectable class.

    The Vertical Hierarchy:

Skyward Governance: In Arrunian culture, the "closest location to the sky" is the most prestigious. Therefore, government buildings are traditionally built at the highest elevation available on the island.

    3. The Seasteads (The Slums)

Krakun Technology: The Krakun have introduced "Seasteading settlements"—floating villages made of aluminum and titanium, complete with water purifiers and greenhouses.

The Stigma: To an outsider, these look like high-tech utopian habitats. To an Arrunian, they are "Shanty Towns." Living on the water is considered a sign of failure. These floating cities are inhabited by those who have "lost the favor of their nation" and are effectively stateless.

    4. Geopolitics: The 702 Republics

Extreme Jingoism: The planet is divided into 702 distinct republics.

Constant War: Fighting over the conquest of land is a "constant part of Arrunian culture." The locals foster extreme jingoism toward anyone outside their specific borders.

    Identity:

City-Surnames: Where you are from is more important than who your parents were. An Arrunian's surname is the name of their Birth City.

Theatrics: Cities are filled with "Theatrons" where plays depict glorious war heroes.

The Narrative Shift: The plays are propaganda; the names of the protagonists and antagonists are changed based on the venue to ensure the local audience is always cheering for their own nation.

    5. The "Vibe"

The Feeling: Windy, Salty, and Hostile. An Arrunian city is a place of loud patriotism and drafty stone corridors. The air smells of salt and chemicals.

The Danger: Diplomacy here is a nightmare. The integration of the Arrunians into the Galactic economy is "slowed by their proclivity to despise outsiders." A visitor must navigate a minefield of 700 different national alliances, where insulting the local "rock" (nation) can lead to immediate conflict.

38. #38galaxy vibe.

    Keys: Galaxy

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

The "vibe" of the galaxy is defined not by unity, but by Collision. It is a crowded room where the occupants breathe different air, live on vastly different time scales, and operate at terrified extremes of size. It is a place where a 30cm mouse rushes to finish a life's work before age 20, dodging the tail of a 14-meter snake who plans to live for 500 years.

    1. The Atmospheric Curtain (The "Filter" Life)

To walk through a major trade hub is to walk through a chemistry set. There is no "Standard Air."

The Smell of Danger: You know who is in the room by the scent—or the warning lights on your visor.

If the air smells like Bleach/Swimming Pools, you are in a Tryonn (Chlorine) or Arrunian (Chloride) district.

If it smells like Industrial Cleaner, you are near the Coosa (Ammonia).

If your suit sensors scream "INCENDIARY," a Turek (Fluorine) has just entered the room. Their native air is so reactive it will eat through standard glass.

The Masked Crowd: In mixed zones, faces are hidden. The Geroo and Ulavavi might walk open-faced in oxygen zones, but the Montrose and Ssarith are sealed behind respirators to breathe their heavy Carbon compounds.

    2. The Scale Clash: Giants in the Hallway

Civil engineering is a nightmare of compromise. The galaxy is not built for one size.

The Ankles: The floor is a highway for the Mysa (30cm) and Coosa (1.1m). They move fast—Mysa because they are dying young, and Coosa because they are naturally bouncy.

The Walls: The Sourang (3.7m) don't use the floor; they use the walls and rafters, hanging by prehensile tails and watching the crowd with arrogant, xenophobic eyes.

The Traffic Jams: When a Ssarith (14 meters long, 8 tons) decides to move, the street stops. They are polite giants, often pausing to let the "small folk" scurry by, but their sheer mass dictates the flow of traffic.

The Awkwardness: You will see Tryonn dragging their massive tails miserably along the ground, grumpy and raspy-voiced because gravity is crushing them, longing to be back in the water where they are graceful gods.

    3. The Politics of Friction

Everyone wants something different, and usually, the Krakun Empire is in the way.

The Idealists: The Ulavavi are handing out pamphlets. They are the galaxy's socialists, painting their scales with art and trying to convince you that the Krakun monopolies are evil. They are earnest, colorful, and heavily armed.

The Raiders: The Turek are shopping for luxury items to take back to their hell-worlds. They are polite, terrifyingly rich, and absolutely fearless. They don't care about the Ulavavi's pamphlets; they care about glory, gold, and their family's comfort.

    The Survivors:

The Geroo are just trying to find a home. In the refugee camps, they are exchanging beads and using ear-flicks to have silent conversations about where to find the best cooked food.

The Coosa are winding their clocks. They smile and bounce, looking like harmless plush toys, but they are quietly refusing to use digital tech to keep the Imperial spies out of their business.

The Infestation: And somewhere in the walls, the Sourang are watching. They are the "pests" that cannot be exterminated, adapting their lungs to breathe your air and eating your garbage, waiting for the Empire to fall.

    4. The Temporal Disconnect

Lives are lived at different speeds.

The Flash: A Mysa enters the workforce at age 3 and is an elder by 18. They are frantic, focused, and intense. To them, a conversation with a Ssarith takes a lifetime.

The Eternity: A Turek might be 4,000 years old, carrying genetic memories of ancestors from before the Krakun even rose. They view the Mysa as flickering sparks.

The Jet Lag: The Ssarith operate on a 60-hour day. They are perpetually tired and "jet-lagged" when dealing with the frenetic 24-hour cycle of the trade hubs.

    5. The Vibe: "Beautiful Chaos"

The galaxy feels like a crowded bazaar built on a minefield. It is loud with the sound of Arrunian jingoist plays, bright with the phosphorescent tattoos of Turek warriors, and tense with the constant threat of Krakun oversight.

It is a place where a Montrose male in full makeup might get stolen by a rival female in a ritual seduction, right next to a Geroo crying over a lost bead, while a Tryonn gasp-breathes chlorine from a tank. Everyone is struggling, everyone is different, and everyone is trying to carve out a life in the gaps left by the Giants.

Apex Station is a logistical nightmare and an engineering marvel. It is one of the few places in the galaxy where all major species—regardless of size, atmosphere, or gravity requirements—can conduct business. It is a massive, rotating torus divided into strict "Atmospheric Sectors" separated by airlocks and blast shields.

    1. The Architecture of Scale

The station is built to accommodate the extreme size variance of its visitors.

The Macro-Lanes: The main corridors are built with 15-meter clearance to accommodate Ssarith (14m length) and Turek (3.6m height). The floors are reinforced industrial composite to support the 8-ton weight of passing Ssarith.

The Micro-Lanes: Suspended above the main heads are the "High-Speed Rails"—transparent tubes and walkways designed for Mysa (30cm) and Coosa (1.1m) to move quickly without being trampled.

Verticality: The walls are textured with grips for Sourang (who climb via prehensile tails), while the ceilings have roosts for Arrunians.

    2. Sector A: The "Green" Zone (Oxygen-Standard)

Atmosphere: 21-24% Oxygen, Nitrogen balance. The most populous sector, acting as the primary marketplace for the Alliance species.

The Food Court: Smells of roasted meat. Geroo run the kitchens (preferring cooked food for their high-energy brains). You will see them ear-flicking silently at each other while serving customers.

The Art District: Dominated by Ulavavi Worlders. They set up stalls to paint the scales of travelers. You can identify the Ulavavi spacers by the "resume" paintings on their backs, contrasting with the purely artistic murals on the locals.

The Jingoist Corner: Arrunian enclaves are loud and argumentative. They often hold "Theatrons"—impromptu plays where they reenact glorious wars, changing the villain's name to match whatever nationality is currently annoying them.

    3. Sector B: The "Heavy" Zone (Carbon/Toxic)

Atmosphere: Carbon-Compound Heavy. A sector of high gravity and thick, hazy air. Visitors from Sector A need full environmental suits.

The Ramp City: There are no stairs here, only wide spirals. This accommodates the Ssarith (who have no legs) and the Tryonn (who drag their heavy tails on land).

    The Friction:

Montrose Drama: This sector is vibrant but tense. You might witness a "Playtheft"—a Montrose female aggressively flirting with another's husband in a ritualized seduction attempt. The air is thick with pheromones and the smell of green makeup.

The Grumpy Fish: Tryonn act as the disgruntled laborers here. Their voices are raspy and harsh in the air, and they look consistently miserable, longing for their tanks.

    4. Sector C: The "Furnace" (Fluorine/High Hazard)

Atmosphere: 16% Fluorine, 115°C. A terrifying, blast-shielded zone. The air inside is yellow, incendiary, and under high pressure.

The Turek Vaults: This is the luxury district. Turek raiders come here to spend their plunder. The shops sell gold, rare meats, and weapons.

The Vibe: It is quiet, opulent, and deadly. The Turek are polite but move with the confidence of beings who do not fear death. Non-Turek enter only in heavy nickel-alloy suits; a suit breach here means instant chemical incineration.

    5. The Undercity (Maintenance & Shadows)

The Clockwork Ghetto: Coosa technicians maintain the station's analog backups. They refuse to use the station's digital network, preferring wind-up tools to avoid Krakun spyware.

The Pest Problem: The station has a "vermin" issue—Sourang. These 12-foot lemurs live in the ventilation shafts, adapting their biology to breathe whatever air is in the duct. They steal food, sabotage systems, and look down on the "civilized" races with arrogant xenophobia.

    6. The Economy of Interaction

Couriers: Arrunians are the premier couriers. Because they can chemically withstand Chlorine, Bromine, and even Fluorine atmospheres (unlike the Geroo or Lio), they are the only ones who can fly packages between Sector A and Sector C without dying.

Security: Ssarith are often hired as judges and security. Their immense size stops fights, and their code of honor makes them trustworthy protectors for smaller species like the Mysa.

Black Market: If you want something illegal, find a Tryonn. They view the "land" merely as a tool for technology and have few scruples about Alliance laws, often trading in goods salvaged from the deep ocean.

Liotec is a paradox. To the galaxy, it is the shining beacon of freedom—the "Last Hope" against the Krakun Empire. To those who live there, it is a crowded, paranoid, and highly regimented fortress world where the air smells of incense and industrial ozone. It is a paradise that has been on a war footing for 1,200 years.

    1. Planetary Statistics

       System Name: Liotec System.

Galactic Coordinates: The Western Reach (Defensive Line).

       Atmosphere: Hyper-Oxygenated Standard.

        Oxygen: 26% (High).

        Nitrogen: 70%.

        Trace: 4% Argon/CO2.

Effect: The high oxygen content makes the air feel "crisp" and energizing to visitors. Fires burn hotter and faster here.

       Pressure: 110 kPa (1.08 Atmospheres).

Temperature: 22°C (72°F) Global Managed Average.

       Gravity: 1.12 G (Estimated).

Lore Note: While not explicitly listed, the Lio are noted for immense physical strength capable of matching significantly heavier species like the Turek. The slightly higher gravity and pressure contribute to their dense musculature.

Length of Day: 26 Galactic Standard Hours.

Population: ~12 Billion (Lio Majority, with 3+ Billion Registered Refugees).

    2. The Moon: Aegis Prime

    Designation: The Shield of Nephal

Appearance: A pale, cratered rock that dominates the night sky, permanently scarred by orbital construction.

Function: Aegis is no longer a natural satellite; it is the primary shipyard of the Resistance. The "dark side" of the moon never sleeps—it glows with the blue ion-light of welding torches and engine tests. It is here that the Lio construct the dreadnoughts that hold the line against the Krakun.

Cultural Significance: In Jiahnism, the moon represents Nephal of the Seven Branches—the silent watcher. When Lio soldiers deploy, they are said to be "Going to Nephal".

    3. The Vibe: "Militant Piety"

Walking the streets of Liotec feels like walking through a cathedral built inside a munitions factory.

The Soundscape: The air is filled with a constant, rhythmic duality. Every hour, the Great Bells of the temples ring out to mark prayer times. Underneath that sound is the low, thrumming vibration of heavy transport shuttles moving millions of tons of supplies to orbit.

The Smell: The distinct scent of Frankincense (used in Jiahnist rituals) mixes with the sharp tang of Ozone from the planetary shield generators.

The Propaganda: You cannot escape the War.

Every public square features a screen broadcasting "Victories from the Front."

Posters of The Blessed Speaker (a heavyset, pious Lio prophet) are plastered on walls, usually accompanied by slogans like "Harmony Through Strength" or "They Break Chains, We Forge Destiny".

The Shadow: Despite the optimism, there is a hush. Scandals are suppressed. If a fleet is lost, the news never reaches the surface. The government maintains a fragile morale at all costs.

    4. Major Cities & Districts A. Sanctum City (The Capital)

The seat of the Imperial Government and the heart of the Jiahnist faith.

Architecture: Massive, blocky stone structures built to resemble the "Heavyset" ideal of the Lio physique. The streets are paved in white stone that reflects the bright sun.

    The Street Scene:

The Manes: The crowd is a sea of hair. Lio citizens walk with their manes braided in elaborate loops (a sign of wealth) or simple ties (working class). To see a Lio with a cropped mane is shocking—people will stare, assuming the person is either deathly ill or in deep mourning.

The Nativists: In the plazas, you will often encounter "Pure Lio" protestors. They wear simple robes and shout about how the refugees are draining the Empire's resources, demanding that the "Off-Worlders" be conscripted or expelled.

    B. The Hive of Alpha-Zarynj (The Refugee Sprawl)

Located on the colony world of Liotec II (Costaruna), this is where the reality of the war hits.

Little Mysatec: A vertical slum built into the canyon walls.

The Scale Clash: Because Mysa are only 30cm (12 inches) tall, they have built an entire micro-city inside the scaffolding of Lio infrastructure. It is a high-speed, frantic environment where thousands of mice rush to finish their life's work before they die at age 20.

The Tension: Lio peacekeepers patrol here in pairs. The Lio government enforces strict breeding restrictions on the Mysa (who reproduce rapidly), creating a simmering resentment. The walls are often tagged with anti-Lio graffiti that is quickly scrubbed away.

The Geroo Camps: A sprawling tent-city that has solidified into concrete bunkers. 16 Million Geroo live here. The air smells of communal stews. The Geroo are grateful for the safety but anxious, their long ears constantly twitching at the sound of passing overhead shuttles.

    5. Natural Wonders

    The Golden Savannahs:

Vast, golden-grass plains that cover the equatorial belt. These are kept undeveloped by law.

Cultural Role: This is the spiritual homeland of the Lio species. Young Lio often take pilgrimages here to reconnect with their predatory roots, running on all fours through the grass to build the leg strength the species is famous for.

The Whispering Canyons (The Place of Shame):

A network of deep, wind-scoured ravines.

Usage: This is the only place on the planet where a Lio can be private. It is where those who have been shamed (or who must cut their manes due to lice or chemical exposure) come to hide until they are "presentable" again. To be seen in the city without a mane is a social death sentence, so the Canyons are a necessary purgatory.

    The Iron Coast:

The entire western coastline of the main continent is a single contiguous factory.

The Industry: This is where the Lio's technological edge is forged. It produces the subversive propaganda pamphlets dropped on Ringeltec, the weapons for the Ulavavi socialists, and the shield generators that keep Liotec safe.

    6. Daily Life: The "Harmony" Paradox

The concept of Harmony is central to Liotec, but it is a forced harmony.

The Superstructure: In a typical temple, you might see a Mysa praying to a mouse-sized statue of She Who Was Consumed, while a Lio prays to a giant statue of The Blessed Speaker. The Lio state claims these are the same religion. The Mysa aren't so sure, but they nod and agree because the Lio control the food rations.

The Mane Economy: Hair care is a major industry. Salons are everywhere, offering "Braid Maintenance" and "Wig Fitting" for those with genetic defects. Jewelry shops sell gold rings specifically designed to be woven into hair.

41. #41Lio manga

    Keys: Lio manga

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

In the Liotec Empire, visual storytelling has evolved into a massive cultural industry. While the term "manga" is a galactic loanword used by travelers, the Lio version is deeply rooted in their unique biology and the ongoing 1,200-year war.

    1. The Aesthetics of the Mane

Because the mane is the Lio's primary form of self-expression and spiritual projection, it is the focal point of all character design in Lio manga.

Character Archetypes: A hero is almost always depicted with a magnificent, waist-length mane, often styled in elaborate braids to signal their high social standing or wealth.

The Visual Language of Shame: Villains or tragic figures are frequently drawn with cropped or messy manes, signaling to the reader that the character is in a state of deep grief, illness, or moral failure.

Braiding as Power-Scaling: In "battle manga," the complexity of a character's braids often correlates to their spiritual or physical strength.

    2. Themes: The Propaganda of Hope

The Lio government heavily subsidizes the manga industry to maintain its reputation as the "Last Hope of the Galaxy".

Resistant Narratives: Popular stories often follow Lio protagonists supporting resistance movements on other worlds, directly mirroring the Empire’s real-world funding of groups like the Ringeltec King-in-Exile.

Jiahnist Symbolism: Many series are structured as parables for Jiahnism, featuring characters who find "Harmony" by following the teachings of the Four Prophets.

The Pious Physique: Protagonists are often drawn with the "heavyset" look modeled after the Blessed Speaker, a physique that Lio culture considers both attractive and spiritually disciplined.

    3. The Refugee Market

With millions of refugees living on Liotec and Liotec II, manga has become a primary tool for cultural integration.

Multilingual Editions: Because the Lio aim to keep their diverse charges (like the Mysa and Geroo) unified, manga is often printed in multiple scripts to teach Lio values to non-native populations.

The "Small" Audience: There is a thriving sub-industry of "Micro-Manga" specifically sized for the Mysa, though these often carry the same Jiahnist "Superstructure" themes that some Mysa find resentfully paternalistic.

    4. Physical Format

Atmospheric Durability: Since Liotec has a high-oxygen atmosphere (26% O2), manga is printed on specialized, fire-retardant treated paper to prevent the common household hazard of spontaneous combustion in the oxygen-rich environment.

Art Style: The art emphasizes physical strength and dense musculature, reflecting the Lio's ability to match up against much heavier species in combat.

42. #42His Royal Majesty Valen 'Rrr-Kik' Ringel IV, Sovereign of Ringeltec (in Absentia)

Keys: King-in-exile, Valen, Valen 'Rrr-Kik' Ringel IV

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

    1. Vital Statistics

Full Title: His Royal Majesty Valen 'Rrr-Kik' Ringel IV, Sovereign of Ringeltec (in Absentia).

       Species: Ringel (Procyonid / Raccoon-Morph).

Age: 54 Standard Years (14 Years in Exile).

Height: 1.15 meters (3'9") — Dwarfed by his 2-meter Lio guards.

Weight: 42 kg (92 lbs) — Heavyset for a Ringel, a sign of his sedentary exile.

Class: Diplomat / Rogue / Spymaster.

Current Residence: The Amber Enclave, Sanctum City, Liotec.

    2. Physical Appearance

Valen is a creature of tragic contrast: a scavenger-species attempting to look like a god to appease his giant hosts.

The Face: Like all Ringel, he possesses the natural black "bandit mask" markings around his eyes. However, his muzzle is greying with stress, and his dark eyes are constantly darting—a prey instinct that royalty never erased.

The "Mane" (The Wig): The most jarring part of his ensemble. To appease his Lio hosts, Valen wears a custom-made, floor-length wig braided in the style of the Blessed Speaker. Woven with gold rings and heavy jewels, it looks ridiculous on a raccoon-person, but he wears it with fierce, desperate dignity.

The Hands: While his robes are heavy silk, his hands remain rough. He possesses the dexterous, non-retractable claws of his species, which he uses to obsessively fiddle with signet rings or dismantle stylus pens during meetings—a nervous tic of his species' tactile nature.

Hidden Gear: Beneath the multi-layered ceremonial robes, he frequently wears a lightweight tactical vest. Old habits from the invasion die hard.

    3. Personality: The Pragmatic Survivor

Valen is not the noble hero the posters depict; he is a cornered animal running the galaxy's longest con.

The Public Face: To the cameras, he is the "Weeping King." He delivers thundering, emotional speeches about freedom and the "Lio Saviors," playing perfectly into their propaganda of being the "Last Hope of the Galaxy."

The Private Reality: Behind closed doors, he is cynical, foul-mouthed, and brilliant. He views the Lio as "pious giants" who are useful but naive. He runs his resistance like a crime syndicate because he knows that honor doesn't stop orbital bombardments.

The Guilt: He suffers from extreme insomnia. He knows he sleeps on silk sheets while his subjects rot in Krakun labor camps. He compensates by working 20-hour days managing the logistics of the resistance, reviewing casualty lists until he passes out.

    4. The "Amber Enclave" (The Golden Bunker)

Located in the heart of Sanctum City, the King's residence is a study in gilded imprisonment.

The Vibe: To the public, it is a palace; to Valen, it is a cage. The walls are reinforced duracrete disguised with gold leaf and religious murals.

The "Mane" Chamber: A specific room dedicated entirely to the King's wardrobe. It houses dozens of ceremonial wigs—elaborate, heavy hairpieces that smell faintly of synthetic hair glue and Lio frankincense.

The Situation Room: Hidden in the basement (Ringel prefer being underground), this is where the luxury ends. It is a clutter of stolen monitors, tangled wires, and half-eaten rations. Here, far from the prying eyes of Lio moralists, Valen commands his pirate fleet.

    5. Operations: The Cabinet of Thieves

Valen trusts no one fully, but he relies on a small, eclectic team to run his shadow empire.

    The Inner Circle:

Overseer Jiah-Kel (Lio Handler): A pious, heavyset Lio who manages the budget. He genuinely believes Valen is a holy figure. Valen finds him insufferable but manipulates his piety to bypass bureaucracy, often labeling black-market weapons purchases as "Humanitarian Aid."

"Click" (Ringel Spymaster): A female Ringel with a scarred eye-mask and a missing ear. Disguised as a servant, she is the only one Valen speaks to in their native "Chitter" dialect. She manages the "Fence Network," selling stolen Krakun goods to Tryonn merchants to fund the King's black budget.

    The Assets:

The Ghost Fleet: Valen issues "Letters of Marque" to independent captains, legalizing piracy against Krakun shipping.

The Flagship (The Trash Panda): Officially the Spirit of Ringel, this "decommissioned humanitarian transport" is actually armed with stolen Krakun disruptors and painted matte black. Valen uses his Scepter of Ringel (a disguised high-frequency transmitter) to send encrypted orders directly to its captain.

The Kickback: Valen takes a 15% "Crown Tax" on all loot, claiming it is for "The War Effort." Most of it is, though he keeps a stash for emergencies.

    6. The Secret Burden (The Scandal)

The Lio government suppresses a dangerous truth to protect their "Hero Narrative."

The "Spare" Heir: Valen was never meant to be King. He was the rebellious younger brother known for gambling and partying.

The Imposter Syndrome: The true Crown Prince was captured and executed by the Krakun. Valen fled. He lives in constant terror that his people will realize they are following the "failure of the family."

The Blackmail: Lio Intelligence knows this. They use it to keep him in line, threatening to leak his pre-war gambling debts to the Nativist press if he ever refuses a propaganda script.

    7. Daily Routine: The Performance

06:00 (Dawn): Waking in his "den" (a small, enclosed closet he prefers over the massive Lio bed).

07:00: The Grooming. A team of Lio stylists spends an hour attaching his wig, weaving gold rings into the braids. Valen hates this process; the weight gives him headaches.

09:00: The Breakfast. He eats with Lio dignitaries, forced to use a fork and knife to appear "civilized," suppressing the urge to eat with his hands.

14:00: The "Nap" (Work). He sneaks to the basement Situation Room to review piracy logs and authorize raids.

20:00: The Nativist Shout. Dinner is interrupted by the sound of Nativist Protests outside. They chant "Lio Gold for Lio Blood!" Valen watches them from the window, drinking heavily, knowing that if the Lio funding stops, the mob will tear him apart.

    8. Current Objective: "Operation Rat-Run"

Valen is currently hoarding funds to buy a Terraforming Emitter on the black market. His plan is to smuggle it onto Ringeltec and poison the atmosphere in key industrial zones. It would kill thousands of Krakun (and likely many enslaved Ringel), but it would cripple the factories. It is a war crime the Lio would never sanction, so he is planning it entirely behind their backs. 9. Selected Quote

"You think I like this wig? You think I enjoy smelling like their incense and bowing to their six-foot cats? I wear this ridiculous rug because every time I put it on, the Lio Parliament approves another ten million credits in aid. I would wear a clown nose if it bought my people rifles. Now, stop staring and show me the cargo manifest—did the raiders get the medical supplies or not?" — High King Valen, to a newly arrived Ringel refugee captain.

43. #43Geroo society

    Keys: Geroo

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

(The Empathic Clans / The Otter-Roos)

    1. Core Psychology: The Communal Bond

Geroo society is defined by Hyper-Empathy and Social Cohesion. They are a species that feels isolation as acutely as other species feel physical pain.

The "Pile" (Affectionate Bonding): The cornerstone of Geroo domestic life is "The Pile." Geroo families and crews prefer to sleep tangled together in a communal heap. This is not born of fear, but of a deep biological need for tactile connection. To a Geroo, physical touch is a language of love and reassurance; "piling" is how they recharge emotionally.

Sensory Attunement: Geroo possess heightened senses, particularly hearing and scent, which makes them incredibly attuned to the emotions of those around them. They are natural diplomats and mediators because they can literally "smell" the mood of a room.

The Rejection of Privacy: Geroo do not value privacy; they value Inclusion. A closed door is seen as an act of hostility or sadness. Their architecture (when they are free to build it) is open-plan, designed to maximize line-of-sight and social interaction.

    2. Social Structure: Bead Culture

Because the Geroo have been displaced and historically stripped of property, they have developed a culture where Relationships are Currency.

The Necklace: Every adult Geroo wears a necklace of beads that serves as their identity and history.

Life Beads: Earned for personal milestones, skills mastered, or communities served.

The "Unstrung": The ultimate social punishment. To cut a Geroo's necklace is to erase their social standing. An "Unstrung" Geroo is ignored not out of malice, but because they have been severed from the community web.

    3. Marriage & Family (The "Two-Strand" Bond)

The Vow Bead: Geroo marriage is solemnized by the Exchange. Partners remove a significant bead from their own life-necklace and thread it onto their partner’s strand.

The Meaning: You are carrying a piece of your partner’s soul and history. It is a constant tactile reminder of your connection, even when apart.

Widowhood: A surviving mate keeps the partner’s bead. They often develop a habit of "Talking to the Bead" or rubbing it for comfort.

The "Happy Couple" (Bureaucracy): Under Krakun rule (and on Lio Ark-ships), marriage is often reduced to a housing application. Friends or lovers apply for "Happy Couple" status to secure a private room, escaping the mass dormitories to form their own intimate "Pile."

    4. The Waitlist (Population Control)

The great tragedy of the Geroo is that their intense desire for family is often legally restricted.

The Birth Token: Due to overcrowding on ships and in camps, reproduction is strictly licensed. Couples are placed on a massive Waitlist for a Birth Token.

The Community Child: Because children are so rare, a Geroo "Kit" is raised by the entire community. If a couple has a child, neighbors will help feed, groom, and teach it. A child is viewed as a blessing for the entire block, not just the biological parents.

Liberation: On the new homeworld (C18-3/New Gerootec), the abolition of the Waitlist was the primary symbol of their freedom, leading to a joyful population boom.

    5. Communication: The Dual Language

Verbal (Galactic Basic): Used for conveying facts and logistics.

Ear-Talk (The Emotive Tongue): Geroo ears are highly mobile and expressive. They use sophisticated twitches and angles to convey emotional nuance that words cannot capture. A Geroo might say "I am fine," but their ears will signal "I am exhausted and need comfort."

Scent-Signaling: Geroo use scent to convey complex social cues. The scent of cinnamon often indicates joy or playfulness, while ozone indicates stress. This makes lying to a Geroo extremely difficult, as their body chemistry betrays their true feelings.

    6. Relationships with Other Species

Krakun: The Oppressors. The Geroo do not fear the Krakun so much as they despise their coldness. To a Geroo, the Krakun lack of empathy and touch is a sign of spiritual emptiness.

Lio: The Big Siblings. Geroo bond easily with Lio, appreciating their warmth and protective nature. Lio are often invited into Geroo "Piles" (though they take up a lot of space).

Ringel: The Chaotic Cousins. Geroo find Ringel lack of social grace frustrating, but they often share spaces due to similar size.

    7. Common Sayings

"May your beads be heavy." (A wish for a rich life full of connections).

"Ears open." (Be empathetic / Listen to what isn't being said).

"Room for one more." (The universal Geroo invitation to join a meal, a conversation, or a pile).

44. #44Lio society

    Keys: Lio

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

(The Golden Empire / The Keepers of Harmony)

    1. Core Psychology: The Burden of Strength

Lio society is built on a foundational belief in "Noblesse Oblige"—the obligation of the strong to protect the weak.

The Shepherd Complex: Lio do not view themselves merely as a superpower; they view themselves as the divinely appointed guardians of sapient life. They believe the galaxy is a garden that must be pruned and protected from "weeds" like the Krakun.

Harmony (Jiah): The core of Lio psychology is "Harmony." This is not just peace, but Order. A society is in Harmony when every species plays its proper role. To a Lio, a Geroo is "proper" when it is safe and working; a Krakun is "improper" because it consumes without creating.

Emotional Control: Despite their predatory appearance, Lio culture deeply stigmatizes public aggression. A Lio who loses their temper is seen as "feral" and socially disgraced. They speak in soft, resonant voices and use elaborate politeness to mask their immense physical power.

    2. Social Structure: The Mane & The Braid

Status in Lio society is visually communicated through hair.

The Mane: A male Lio’s mane is his resume. It is never cut, only groomed. The volume and health of the mane indicate vitality and genetic fitness.

The Braids (Rank): A Lio does not wear medals; they weave their achievements into their hair.

Gold Rings: Signify public service or government rank.

Gemstones: Signify religious standing or wisdom.

Complex Braiding: Indicates high status. A Lio with a loose, unkempt mane is assumed to be destitute or mentally ill.

Females (The Huntresses): While males dominate the religious and political spheres (The "Speaker" roles), female Lio are culturally designated as the "Active Hand." They traditionally dominate the Military and Special Forces, viewed as the "Hunters" who go out to slay the monsters threatening the den.

    3. Marriage & Family: "The Concord"

Lio marriage is less a romantic contract and more a spiritual merger, often referred to as "The Concord."

The Ritual of Braiding: A Lio marriage ceremony does not involve rings on fingers (which are clawed and practical). Instead, the couple engages in "The Binding." They weave a single, heavy gold band into each other's mane or braids. This ring is permanently locked into the hair and must be groomed around daily, symbolizing that the relationship requires constant care to maintain.

The "Pride" Unit: Lio do not live in nuclear families. They live in "Prides"—massive, multi-generational estates housing grandparents, cousins, and siblings under one roof. The Pride is the central economic unit; a Lio works not just for themselves, but to add glory (and gold) to the Pride's vault.

Courtship: Lio courtship is formal and slow, often involving the exchange of poetry (manga) or trophies. Because they are a long-lived species, rushing into a Concord is seen as a sign of immaturity.

Gender Dynamics: In the domestic sphere, the Male (Speaker) is often the "Heart" of the home, managing the estate and the cubs' education, while the Female (Hunter) is often the "Shield," managing external business and defense.

    4. Religion: Jiahnism

The Lio do not separate Church and State. The Government is the Temple.

The Blessed Speaker: The head of state is a Pope-Emperor figure. His words are not just law; they are scripture. To disobey a direct order from the Speaker is a spiritual failing.

The Four Prophets: Lio naming conventions (Jiah-Kel, Kaph-El) trace back to the four mythical founders who brought "Light" to the Lio homeworld.

The Rituals: Daily life is punctuated by incense burning and "Sun-Greeting" prayers. Lio architecture features massive skylights and gold reflectors to ensure natural light reaches every corner of a room, symbolizing the "Light of Truth."

    5. Military: The Wall of Gold

Doctrine: The Lio military does not "conquer"; it "Liberates" and "Pacifies." They refuse to use terror tactics. They prefer overwhelming, precise firepower delivered from beautiful, golden ships.

The Paladins: Lio soldiers wear armor that is intentionally ornate. They want the enemy to see them. They want to be a beacon of hope to the species they are rescuing.

    6. Relationship with "Client Species"

The Lio attitude towards the "Small Species" (Geroo, Mysa, Ringel) is affectionately condescending.

"The Little Ones": Lio often refer to Geroo and Ringel as "Little Ones." They treat them with the gentle, patient tone one uses with a bright child.

The Petting Taboo: Lio have a bad habit of petting smaller species without asking. To a Lio, scritching a Geroo behind the ears is a gesture of comfort. To the Geroo, it is humiliating but tolerated because the Lio provide free healthcare.

    7. Daily Life & Cuisine

Dining: Lio are obligate carnivores, but they are culturally "civilized" about it. They consider eating meat "on the bone" to be savage. All meat is processed into geometric shapes or pâtés and eaten with delicate utensils.

The "Roar" Choirs: Lio music is bass-heavy. They use their deep lung capacity to create "infrasound" choirs that can be felt in the chest more than heard.

    8. Common Sayings

"Walk in the Light." (Standard farewell).

"The Mane is heavy." (Leadership is a burden).

"A single braid snaps; the weave holds." (Strength in unity/family).

45. #45Krakun society

    Keys: Krakun

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

(The Iron Authority / The Architects of Order)

    1. Core Psychology: The Cult of Efficiency

Krakun society is driven by a single, overriding imperative: Productivity.

Emotional Suppression: Krakun biology lacks tear ducts, and their culture views public displays of emotion as a "leaking of discipline." Sadness, joy, and fear are considered private inefficiencies. A Krakun who laughs or cries in public is viewed with the same disgust as a human who wets themselves.

The "Soft" Palate Bias: They view species with soft palates (mammals like Geroo and Lio) as inherently chaotic and "mushy." They believe that just as soft species cannot pronounce the sharp clicks of the Krakun language, they cannot understand the hard truths of the universe (Order, Hierarchy, Dominance).

Bureaucratic Cruelty: The Krakun do not see themselves as evil; they see themselves as Administrators. They do not "enslave" species; they "integrate labor resources." Every act of cruelty is documented, stamped, and filed in triplicate.

    2. Social Structure: The Authority

The Krakun government is a monolithic entity known simply as "The Authority."

Rank is Identity: A Krakun is addressed by their rank first, name second. In professional settings, using a personal name is a sign of disrespect or unwanted intimacy.

    The Caste System:

High Command (The Beaks): The Directors and Admirals who set policy.

The Officers: The managerial class who run the ships and factories.

The Laborers: Low-ranking Krakun who envy the "soft" jobs of the slaves but are too indoctrinated to rebel.

The Anup (Enforcers): The Krakun rely on the massive Anup species to serve as their "Imperial Police" and overseers, using them as a buffer between the ruling class and the slave populations.

    3. Marriage & Family: " The Nest-Contract"

Krakun relationships are a stark contrast between cold public duty and intense private dependency.

The Contract: Marriage is primarily a political and genetic alliance designed to produce high-value offspring. Couples are "matched" based on genetic compatibility and career trajectory.

The Secret Softness: As seen with Captain Pokokuro and Dzeikotji in The Captain’s Oath, private intimacy is the only outlet a Krakun has. Behind the sealed blast-doors of their quarters, "Nest-Mates" are fiercely protective and surprisingly tender. They groom each other’s feathers and chitter in soft tones, releasing the stress of their rigid public lives. To threaten a Krakun’s mate is the one thing that will make them break protocol and act with feral rage.

Reproduction: Eggs are laid in state-run incubators ("The Hatchery"). Parents must apply for "rearing rights." If they fail performance reviews, their eggs are reallocated to more "worthy" families.

    4. Military: "Planetary Acquisitions"

The Krakun military is an industrial machine disguised as a navy.

Doctrine: They do not fight for glory; they fight for Assets. A battle is a failure of negotiation. They prefer to use orbital blockades and starvation tactics to force a planet to surrender its resources intact.

Slave Soldiers: They use "Auxiliary Corps" (slave races) for the high-risk jobs—clearing minefields, repairing hull breaches during combat, and frontline fodder.

Terror as a Tool: They use psychological warfare expertly. The "Unstrung" Geroo (whose beads have been cut) are often displayed in work camps as a reminder of what happens to those who lose their utility.

    5. Dining & Culture

The Mess Hall: Eating is a functional affair. Krakun food is typically nutrient paste or processed protein blocks. They view the Lio practice of elaborate dining as a waste of time.

"The Crunch": A delicacy. Krakun enjoy food with a hard exoskeleton (beetles, crustaceans). The sound of crunching is considered satisfying and is one of the few sensory pleasures allowed in public.

    6. Relationship with "Subject Species"

Geroo: "Labor Units." Viewed as pathetic but useful. The Krakun tolerate them because they are dexterous and breed quickly, making them easily replaceable mechanics and cleaners.

Ringel: "Vermin." The Krakun actively hunt Ringel, viewing their chaotic nature and thievery as a cancer to the Order.

Lio: "The Anomaly." The Krakun hate the Lio because they defy the "Natural Order" (that the strong should rule). They view Lio philosophy as a dangerous mental virus.

    7. Common Sayings

"Order is the shell that protects the mind."

"A place for everything, and everything in its place." (Often said before executing a dissident).

"Do not click at the inevitable." (Accept your fate/orders).

46. #46Ringel society

    Keys: Ringel

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

(The Diaspora Fleet / The Scavenger Kings)

    1. Core Psychology: The Doctrine of No-Taboo

To an outsider, a Ringel appears rude, abrasive, or chaotic. To a Ringel, they are simply Efficient.

Radical Honesty: Ringel society lacks the social inhibitors common to other species. They do not believe in "saving face" or "hinting." If a Ringel finds a plan stupid, they will say it immediately. If they are attracted to someone, they will state it clearly. They view "politeness" as a form of dishonesty that wastes valuable time.

The Scavenger Mindset: Having lost their homeworld to the Krakun, the Ringel have collectively adopted a survivalist philosophy: Nothing is trash; it’s just currently unused. They view theft from the enemy not as a crime, but as "forceful repossession." A stolen Krakun freighter isn't loot; it's raw material for the resistance.

Hyper-Tactility: Ringel process the world through touch. They are constantly fiddling, disassembling, and reorganizing objects. A Ringel who is forced to sit still with their hands folded is a Ringel in deep distress.

    2. Social Structure: The Crew is the Clan

Without a planet to ground them, Ringel society has reorganized around The Ship.

Meritocratic Leadership: Ringel do not follow bloodlines; they follow competence. A Captain keeps their job only as long as they bring in the loot. Mutiny is not a crime in Ringel culture; it’s a vote of no confidence.

Portable Wealth: Because they are refugees who may have to flee at a moment's notice, Ringel do not invest in real estate. They invest in Jewelry. A successful Ringel wears their bank account—gold rings, heavy chains, and gemstones are worn openly. This serves a dual purpose: it displays status to peers, and it ensures that if the ship explodes, they die with their fortune on them (or can bribe their way out of capture).

Communal Privacy: Ringel have very little concept of personal space. They are used to sleeping in piles or hot-bunking on crowded blockade runners. Privacy is viewed as suspicious; if you are hiding, you are probably hoarding something the crew needs.

    3. The "Sanctioned" Economy

The Ringel economy is almost entirely based on State-Sponsored Piracy.

Letters of Marque: The High King issues official licenses that legalize piracy against Krakun shipping. This transforms criminal acts into acts of war. A Ringel raider isn't a thief; they are a "Partisan Asset."

The Fence Network: Ringel serve as the galaxy's supply chain. They steal Krakun technology, scrub the serial numbers, and sell it to neutral parties (like the Tryonn) or donate it to the Lio. They are the only species that knows how to bypass Krakun biometric locks, making them indispensable to the war effort.

    4. Hygiene & Habits

Contrary to their "trash panda" reputation, Ringel are biologically compelled to be clean.

The Dowsing Instinct: Ringel possess a biological imperative to wash their food and hands. This is not just about dirt; their palms have highly sensitive nerve endings that function better when wet. A Ringel will obsessively wash their hands before, during, and after a meal.

Grooming Circles: Social bonding often involves mutual grooming. Picking lint or straightening a crewmate’s fur is a sign of affection and trust.

    5. Marriage & Sexuality

Ringel relationships are defined by their "No Taboo" philosophy.

Recreational Intimacy: Ringel view sexuality as a social activity, similar to sharing a meal or playing a game. It is a way to relieve stress and bond with crewmates. Jealousy is culturally rare; they separate "fun" from "commitment."

Partnerships: True "marriage" among Ringel is usually a professional alliance. A Pilot might marry a Gunner because their skills complement each other. These bonds are fierce and loyal, but they don't necessarily preclude casual flings with others.

Communal Rearing: Children ("Kits") are raised by the entire ship. A Kit is taught to pick locks and solder wires almost as soon as they can walk.

    6. Relationships with Other Species

Krakun (The Marks): The Ringel do not fear the Krakun; they mock them. They view the Krakun's obsession with order as a psychological weakness to be exploited. Ringel graffiti on Krakun outposts is a common act of defiance.

Lio (The Patrons): Ringel find the Lio arrogant and slow, but they recognize the Lio are the only shield they have. They are happy to let the Lio be the "Heroes" while the Ringel do the dirty, necessary work in the shadows.

Geroo (The Soft Ones): Ringel often bully Geroo playfully, finding them too timid. However, this bullying is possessive; a Ringel will torment a Geroo, but will kill anyone else who tries to hurt them.

    7. Common Sayings

"It fell off a truck." (The universal explanation for how they acquired an item).

"Shiny side up." (Good luck / Stay safe).

"Tact is for people who can't run fast." (A justification for being rude).

47. #47Anup society

    Keys: Anup

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

(The Jackal Guard / The Acolytes of Order)

    1. Core Psychology: The Cult of Hygiene

Contrary to the "dirty" stereotype often applied to canine species, Anup society is driven by a deep-seated, socio-religious phobia of contamination.

The Span Rod: The most defining artifact of Anup culture is the Span Rod—a 2-meter staff carried by every adult Anup. Its original purpose was to enforce social distancing during the great plagues of their homeworld (Anuptec). Today, it is a symbol of personal sovereignty. To enter within "Rod-Range" of an Anup without permission is a grave insult, often resulting in immediate violence.

The "Unclean" Anxiety: Anup view Oxygen-breathers (like humans, Geroo, and Lio) as biologically "wet" and filthy. They find the humid, oxygen-rich atmosphere of standard starships repulsive. This is why Anup guards are often seen constantly cleaning their armor or refusing to touch prisoners directly, preferring to use shock-prods or gravity-whips to maintain "sanitary distance."

    2. Physiology & Environment

The Anup are Bromine-Breathers. This biological barrier isolates them from almost every other species in the galaxy.

The Rebreathers: Outside of their own sealed districts or ships, Anup must wear heavy environmental suits or rebreather masks. This physical barrier reinforces their psychological detachment; they literally cannot smell or taste the same air as the "Lesser Races."

Bromine Dependency: Their reliance on Bromine gas means they are tethered to their own supply lines. A "punishment" in the Anup legions is to have one's mixture diluted with standard air, causing a suffocating, "drowning" sensation.

    3. Religion: The Pursuit of "Total Awe"

The Anup do not serve the Krakun out of fear (like the Geroo) or greed (like the Ringel); they serve out of Religious Adoration.

The Idolatry of Order: Anup religion posits that the Universe is naturally chaotic and "infected," and that the only cure is absolute, sterile Order. When they encountered the Krakun, they did not see conquerors; they saw Angels. The Krakun’s lack of emotion, their rigid hierarchy, and their obsession with cleanliness align perfectly with Anup theology.

The Holy Imitation: Anup culture strives to mimic Krakun society. They adopt rigid caste structures and suppress their natural pack instincts to appear more "civilized." However, because they are naturally emotional and aggressive creatures, this suppression often explodes into sudden, manic violence when they break character.

    4. Social Structure: The Pack & The Rod

The Hierarchy of Reach: Status is determined by who has the "Right of Way." High-ranking Anup can walk where they please; lower-ranking Anup must yield space to ensure the 2-meter "Span" is never breached.

Naming Conventions: Anup names are short, guttural barks (e.g., Vrok, Drol, Kurn). However, in public, they are almost exclusively addressed by their Function Title (e.g., "Warden," "Handler," "Sanitation Officer"). To use a personal name is a privilege reserved for "Span-Mates" (intimate family).

    5. Military Role: The Independent Ally

The Anup are not technically "subjects"; they are Independent Allies.

The Enforcers: Because the Krakun are physically fragile and few in number, the Anup serve as the muscle of the Empire. They police the docks, quell riots, and board enemy ships.

The Navy: The Anup maintain their own fleet, distinct from the Krakun Navy. Their ships are blocky, industrial, and filled with Bromine atmosphere. A Krakun advisor on an Anup ship must wear a suit, a rare reversal of power dynamics that the Anup quietly relish.

    6. Relationships with Other Species

Krakun (The Avatars): The Anup worship the Krakun as the pinnacle of evolution. They will endure any abuse from a Krakun officer, viewing it as a "correction" from a divine being.

Geroo (The Contaminants): Anup view Geroo as "vermin"—fast, breeding rapidly, and "dirty." They treat them with the disgust one reserves for rats. However, they also rely on Geroo for the "dirty work" of manual labor that Anup refuse to do.

Lio (The Chaos-Bringers): The Anup hate the Lio because the Lio represent "Messy Strength." The Lio are loud, emotional, and touch-heavy—everything the Anup religion forbids. To an Anup, killing a Lio is a holy act of "sanitizing" the galaxy.

    7. Common Sayings

"Keep your Span." (Back off / Maintain distance).

"The air is thin today." (A complaint about poor supplies or weak leadership).

"Order is the only cure." (A religious affirmation).

48. #48Geordian society

    Keys: Geordians

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

(The Fractured Clans / The Ammonia Cats)

    1. Core Psychology: The Consensus Reality

Geordian psychology is driven by a desperate, biological need for External Validation. A Geordian has no internal concept of "self-worth"; their identity is constructed by how their Clan views them.

The Schism: This need for validation has split the species into two distinct psychological groups:

The Vassals: Derive validation from Obedience. They believe they are "good" because they serve the Krakun well.

The Freeborn: Derive validation from Defiance. They believe they are "good" because they endure hardship without bending.

    2. Marriage: "The Chorus"

For a species that relies on consensus, marriage is not just a union of two individuals; it is the merging of two realities. A single Geordian is a "Solo"—a terrifying, lonely state. A married pair is a "Duet," the smallest possible unit of stability. A. Imperial Vassal Marriage (The Approved Match)

The Arrangement: Vassal marriages are often arranged by Clan Elders to maximize genetic favor with the Krakun overseers. Matches are chosen for "trait stability"—docility, intelligence, and health.

The Ceremony: Sterile and quiet. The couple stands before a Krakun administrator (or a hologram of one) to have their union stamped. There is no poetry, only a recitation of duty.

The Dynamic: Vassal couples are often deeply co-dependent, functioning as "panic partners." They cling to each other to survive the stress of living under the Krakun boot, constantly reassuring one another: "We are safe. We are good. We are behaving."

    B. Free Clan Marriage (The Wild Rhyme)

The Choice: Free Geordians marry for love, often recklessly. It is an act of rebellion—to choose a partner not for their utility, but for their soul.

The Ceremony: A return to ancient, pre-Krakun traditions. The couple engages in a "Scent-Binding." They enter a sealed, ammonia-rich tent and rub their cheek glands together, mixing their pheromones until they smell identical. They then recite a poem they have written together—a "Vow of Rhythm" that tells the story of their future.

The Dynamic: These couples are fierce and loud. They fight, they sing, and they defend each other with lethal intensity. A Free Geordian will die before letting their partner be taken.

    3. The "Glass Wall" (Inter-Species Relationships)

Because Geordians are Ammonia-Breathers, falling in love with an Oxygen-breather (Human, Lio, Geroo) is a cultural tragedy known as "The Glass Romance."

The Barrier: They can never touch skin-to-skin without chemical burns. They can never kiss without a mask.

The Intimacy: These couples develop intense emotional intimacy to compensate for the lack of physical touch. They sit on opposite sides of a glass partition to sleep, or press their gloved hands together for hours. In Free Clan culture, a "Glass Lover" is viewed with pity and respect, seen as a martyr to love.

    4. Family & Child-Rearing

Vassal Cubs: Raised in state-run crèches. Parents have limited access to their own children to prevent "inefficient emotional bonding." A Vassal parent lives in constant terror that their cub will fail a Krakun aptitude test and be "culled" or reassigned to a labor camp.

Free Cubs: The most precious resource in the galaxy. Free Geordian cubs are raised by the entire ship or station. They are taught to be loud, to sing, and to never bow. A Free Geordian mother will strap her cub to her chest in a customized rebreather pod, carrying them into battle or negotiations rather than leaving them behind.

    5. Social Structure: The Two Worlds

Vassals (The "Pets"): Anxious and overly polite. They wear pristine uniforms and constantly apologize for taking up space. They secretly despise themselves for their cowardice but rationalize it as "pragmatic survival."

Freeborn (The Exiles): Melancholy and fierce. They refuse to wear standard breathing masks, preferring customized, scary, or artistic rebreathers to distinguish themselves from the faceless Vassals.

    6. Common Sayings

"A rhyme unbroken is a truth spoken." (A poetic argument is valid).

"The glass is cold, but the eye is warm." (Love transcends physical barriers).

"Do not breathe the thin air." (Don't isolate yourself).

49. #49Kyacaotl society

    Keys: Kyacaotl

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

(The Masked Folk / The Chlorine Coyotes)

    1. Core Psychology: The Two Faces

Kyacaotl psychology is built entirely around the separation of the Public Self (The Mask) and the Private Self (The Flesh).

The Mask is the Soul: To a Kyacaotl, the face they were born with is merely biological meat. The Mask they carve and wear is their true identity—it represents who they choose to be. To be seen in public without a mask is a profound psychological trauma, equivalent to being naked and flayed.

The Virtue of Vigilance: Their society values paranoia as a survival skill. Because they are Chlorine-breathers often surrounded by hostile atmospheres, and because their culture rewards cunning, a Kyacaotl is always watching their back. To be tricked is shameful; to trick others is respected (if done with style).

    2. Social Structure: The Game of Theft

Kyacaotl society functions on a sanctioned form of "play-crime" known as The Game.

Educational Larceny: From childhood, Kyacaotl are taught to steal from one another. This is not malicious; it is a teaching tool. A child who steals a cookie is praised for their stealth; a child who loses their toy is scolded for their lack of vigilance.

Mask Theft: The ultimate social maneuver is to steal another Kyacaotl's mask. This is a complex ritual.

The Rule: You cannot keep it. You must return it after 3 days.

The Lesson: During those 3 days, the victim is "Soulless" and must hide in shame. The thief gains immense prestige for proving they could outsmart the victim.

The Bond: Paradoxically, stealing a mask often creates a bond of respect. "You were clever enough to unmask me" is a high compliment.

    3. Biology & The Blue Taboo

Chlorine-Breathers: They require a Chlorine atmosphere. This physically isolates them in "Green Zones" or requires them to wear heavy filtration masks in standard oxygen environments.

The Color of Death: Kyacaotl blood is Blue (copper-based). Because blue is the color of their spilled life-force, it is culturally taboo to wear blue clothing or paint.

Fashion: They favor "Warm" colors—Reds, Oranges, Browns, and Golds—to contrast with their cyan-tinted flesh. A Kyacaotl wearing blue is usually signaling that they are in mourning or intend to die.

    4. Religion: Alamatol (The Trickster)

The Laughing Goddess: They worship Alamatol, a deity who reportedly stole the stars and hid them in the night sky just to see if anyone would notice.

Worship via Pranks: A "prayer" to Alamatol is often a practical joke played on a friend or rival. If the joke is clever and harmless, it is seen as a blessing. If it is cruel or clumsy, it is an insult to the Goddess.

    5. Marriage & Family: "The Unveiling"

Kyacaotl marriage is the only time the "Mask Rule" is broken.

The Unveiling Ceremony: The wedding rite does not involve vows, but a mutual Removal of Masks.

The Intimacy: To show your bare, biological face to another is the ultimate act of trust. It says: "I am vulnerable to you. You can hurt me, and I trust you not to."

The Secret: Spouses are often the only people who know what the other actually looks like.

The "Shared Face": Married couples often carve new masks that share design elements (a specific pattern or horn shape), signaling to the public that their "souls" are now linked.

Cub-Rearing: Children are born "soulless" (unmasked). They earn their first mask at age 18 (The Rite of Carving). Until then, they are protected fiercely by the parents, as they are considered too stupid to survive The Game on their own.

    6. The Great Schism: The Maskless

Modern Kyacaotl society is divided by a growing cult.

The Traditionalists: Adhere strictly to Mask Law. They view the face as private and shameful.

The Cult of the Maskless: A radical youth movement that rejects the "lie" of the Mask. They walk openly with their bare faces, using blue paint to highlight their features. Traditionalists view them as insane exhibitionists, while the Maskless view themselves as "Honest Souls" who have nothing to hide.

    7. Common Sayings

"Your paint is wet." (You are lying / Your disguise is poor).

"Blue blood spills cold." (A warning about death or danger).

"A face is given; a Mask is earned." (Respect must be worked for).

"Check your chin." (A friendly warning: "Pay attention, or I will trick you").

50. #50Tryonn society

    Keys: Tryonn

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

(The Deepwater Guilds / The Shark-Kings)

    1. Core Psychology: The Caloric Ledger

Tryonn psychology is dominated by a single, terrifying biological fact: They never stop growing.

The Growth Curse: As long as a Tryonn eats, they get bigger. A 20-year-old might be human-sized (1.8m), but a 300-year-old Elder is the size of a whale (15m+).

The Land-Walking Window: Tryonn society is obsessed with "The Window"—the brief period in their life (usually age 15 to 60) when they are large enough to be useful but small enough to walk on land without being crushed by their own weight.

Dietary Discipline: Gluttony is the ultimate sin. A Tryonn who eats too much grows too fast, forcing them to retire to the ocean before they have earned enough wealth to support their massive underwater bulk. "Staying small" is a mark of discipline and poverty; "Growing huge" is a privilege of the rich.

    2. Social Structure: Surface vs. Deep

Tryonn society is physically stratified by depth.

The Walkers (The Surface Caste): These are the young and the middle-aged who run the spaceports, factories, and trade ships. They are the "Hands" of the species. They live in constant fear of "The Return"—the day gravity becomes too heavy and they must retreat to the water forever.

The Bathers (The Deep Caste): Once a Tryonn exceeds 4 meters, they must enter the ocean. The wealthy Elders live in opulent, submerged palaces, running their empires via remote link. The poor Elders, who didn't save enough money, drift as feral scavengers in the abyss, too heavy to work and too poor to buy the specialized nutrient-pastes needed to sustain their massive brains.

    3. Economy: The Brand is Blood

Corporate Lineage: A Tryonn’s family name is not just a name; it is a Corporate Brand. (e.g., "Bio-Gen Jala" or "Astro-Mining Krell"). To introduce oneself is to state one's credit rating.

Contract Law as Religion: They do not have a "Bible"; they have The Ledger. Breaking a contract is considered a spiritual violation. A Tryonn will cheat you by finding a loophole (which is considered clever), but they will never outright lie about the terms (which is considered heresy).

    4. Marriage & Family: "The Merger"

Tryonn marriage is a cold, calculated business transaction known as "The Merger."

The Portfolio: Love is considered a chaotic variable. Partners are chosen based on "Asset Synergies." A shipping heir will marry a mining heiress not for romance, but to create a vertical monopoly.

The Spawning: Tryonn do not raise their own children. Eggs are laid in massive, communal "Hatchery Trusts."

The Investment: Parents buy "Shares" in the Hatchery. The more you pay, the better education and nutrition your biological offspring receive.

The Dividend: When the child reaches working age (The Window), they are required to pay a percentage of their income back to their parents as a "Return on Investment."

"Asset Forfeiture": Divorce is simply the dissolution of the contract. Children (Assets) are divided based on the initial equity stake of each parent.

    5. Biology & The Environment

Chlorine-Breathers: Like the Kyacaotl, they breathe Chlorine. However, Tryonn are Amphibious. They have both lungs and gills, allowing them to operate in chlorine atmospheres or chlorine-saturated water.

Teal Flesh: Their blood is copper-based, giving them a shark-like, teal or grey complexion. They have a cartilaginous skeleton (no bones), which is why gravity is their enemy—they have no rigid frame to support massive weight out of water.

    6. Relationship with Other Species

Krakun (The Best Customers): The Tryonn love the Krakun because the Krakun pay on time. They don't care about the Krakun's morality; they care that the Krakun Empire has a AAA credit rating.

Ringel (The Necessary Evil): Tryonn find Ringel chaotic and smelly, but they are the only ones who can steal the Krakun tech the Tryonn want to sell. It is a symbiotic relationship: The Ringel steal it, the Tryonn fence it.

Lio (The Bad Investment): Tryonn find the Lio frustrating because Lio often demand "charity" or "fair prices" for the poor. To a Tryonn, charity is just lost profit.
