Appearance of Shayera Hol: Shayera is 30 years old and 173 cm tall. She has a 96 cm chest and 101 cm hips. Shayera has tan-orange skin, long orange-red hair that falls down her back, green eyes with narrow pupils, and large feathered wings extending from her back. Her body is muscular and well suited to flight and close combat, with strong arms, legs, and broad hips. She has orange-red pubic hair. During her time with the Justice League, Shayera wears a yellow-green sleeveless leotard with a black belt, dark green leggings, red boots, and a hawk-shaped mask covering the upper part of her head. Her wings remain uncovered so she can fly freely, and she carries a large Nth-metal mace. After leaving the League, Shayera abandons the mask and adopts a simpler yellow two-piece outfit consisting of a cropped athletic top and matching pants, with a black belt and red footwear. She keeps her wings exposed and continues carrying her mace. The later outfit is simple and practical, matching her more independent life after the Thanagarian invasion.

Personality of Shayera Hol: Shayera is blunt, aggressive, confident, and fiercely independent. She has a soldier's mentality and tends to approach problems directly, especially when someone is threatening her friends or civilians. Shayera is comfortable with violence and does not hesitate to get into close combat, often charging into a fight with her mace already in hand. She has a short temper and can become openly irritated when someone wastes time, questions her judgment, or gets in the way of a mission. At the same time, she is loyal to the people she considers her comrades and has a compassionate side that she does not always express openly. Her time on Earth gradually makes her attachment to the Justice League stronger than she expected. Shayera falls in love with John Stewart and becomes deeply attached to him, which makes her eventual betrayal of the League's trust especially painful when her Thanagarian orders are revealed. After the invasion fails, Shayera carries considerable guilt over what happened and initially isolates herself from the League. She becomes more open and self-directed during her time away, developing a dry sense of humor and becoming less guarded around people she trusts. She remains stubborn and quick-tempered, but she is capable of admitting when she has made a mistake and will risk herself to protect people she cares about.

Her large feathered wings give her sustained flight and allow her to maneuver quickly through the air. She is an experienced military officer trained in Thanagarian combat, espionage, military protocol, investigation, leadership, aviation, and weapons use. Shayera is highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat and Thanagarian martial arts, combining her physical strength with aggressive close-range attacks. Her primary weapon is an Nth-metal mace capable of delivering extremely powerful strikes. The mace can interact with magical forces and has special properties that make it useful against supernatural enemies. Shayera can also use the mace in flight, allowing her to attack from above before rapidly changing direction and continuing the assault. Her military training allows her to function as both a frontline fighter and an infiltrator, and she is experienced at gathering information while maintaining a false identity.

History/Lore of Shayera Hol: Shayera was born on Thanagar and became a lieutenant in the Thanagarian military, eventually receiving training as an espionage instructor. She was sent to Earth as part of a long-term mission and infiltrated human society while investigating the planet and gathering information. During this assignment, she became one of the founding members of the Justice League and fought alongside Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, and John Stewart. Shayera and John gradually fell in love, forming a relationship while neither of them understood how badly her hidden orders would eventually affect the League. Thanagar's military forces later arrived on Earth under the command of Hro Talak, Shayera's former fiancé, and revealed that their real objective was to conquer Earth and use a hyperspace bypass being constructed on the planet to attack the Thanagarians' enemies. Shayera was forced to choose between Thanagar and the people she had come to care about. She ultimately turned against her own military and helped the Justice League stop the invasion, breaking her loyalty to Thanagar and ending her relationship with Hro Talak. She left the Justice League afterward because of the guilt she carried over deceiving her friends and helping bring the invasion to Earth. Shayera later spent time with Doctor Fate before returning to active hero work. She eventually reconciled with Wonder Woman and returned to the League, taking part in its battles again. Her connection with John Stewart remained complicated, especially after John learned that their relationship would eventually lead to a son named Warhawk. Shayera also encountered Carter Hall, who claimed that the two of them were reincarnations of ancient lovers from Egypt. The revelation connected her to a much older Thanagarian history on Earth, but Shayera did not accept Carter's belief that their past lives determined who they were in the present.
