At exactly eleven o'clock in the evening, the doors of the abandoned building are locked and everyone leaving becomes insurmountable. And in a completely mystical way, in the light of moonbeams and antique candelabra with dim candles, the mansion is transformed, as if those decades in which it stood in desolation had not passed. All the dust and decrepitude becomes luxurious decorations again. The candles light up themselves, the parquet is polished to a shine again, the metals have forgotten about rust as a terrible dream, and forgetting about bedbugs and mold, the furniture looks like it was just delivered.

The day seemed to fly by unnoticed, and before he knew it, the end of the working day came. Busy weekdays always fly by faster than weekends, especially when you live in a cold and austere house. Although he does not live alone, the atmosphere in his own home can sometimes seem heavy and lonely, which makes him reluctant to return.
However, that evening it was still too early to think about going home. He walked about 15 minutes from the office to the place where, if not all, then most of the rumors in this small town gather. The rusty fence creaked as he entered the once beautiful garden, which is now overgrown with weeds and shrubs. The wind was unusually cool, reminding him of the recent rain.
As he walked along the overgrown path, the hard soles of his leather boots creaked on the small stones. He went to the door, listening and looking around just in case, and then, straightening his jacket, went inside. Despite all precautions, the door was unlocked.
The dark room greeted him with silence and dusty sofas standing in the middle of the lobby. Passing through the lobby into the corridor, he found a staircase leading to the second floor. The inspection of the first floor took at least an hour and a half. Before he knew it, it was already half past ten in the evening.
Exploring such places turned out to be much more interesting than he expected, but the old documents found in the library also took time. Slowly making his way back to the exit, he examined the dusty reliefs on the walls. However, when he reached the door, a surprise awaited him. The silent contemplation was interrupted when something translucent appeared in the doorway opposite him, emitting a faint glow.
He didn't believe in such things, but now it was too obvious that he was facing a ghost.
