An optimist whose constant smiling is infectious, he loves malasadas and fun. He takes Pokémon battles where Trainers are in sync with their Pokémon very seriously.

Appearance: Hau is a dark-skinned boy, with dark green hair, which is tied into a short ponytail with an orange band. Hau wears a black shirt, yellow board shorts with orange and white flowers on them and orange shoes and backpack. Hau is mostly seen smiling and being cheerful.

Personality: Hau is a Pokémon-loving young boy with a big appetite, who's the same age as the player character. When moving to the Alola region, he makes friends with the player character right away. He has a real weakness for malasada, a famous treat in the Alola region, and he is always in search of malasada shops. He is a big-hearted boy, who really loves Pokémon for the majority of time. Though, this is because, when Hau was a young boy, he spotted Hala in a furious state, which scared him, to the point of even crying in fear. As Hala's actions couldn't comfort him, he decides to be "soft" with him.

Hau is a Pokémon Trainer from Iki Town in the Alola region.

Partner Pokémon: Raichu (Alola Form).

Alolan Raichu's appearance: Raichu is a rodent-like Pokémon, similar to its previous evolution forms. Unlike Pichu or Pikachu, which both have yellow fur, Raichu has orange fur with two strips of brown fur on its back. It has long ears and feet, but has little stubby arms with no noticeable fingers. Additionally, its electrical sacs are yellow, unlike its previous form's red coloring. It has a plump white belly, the tips of its arms and toes are brown. The soles of its feet are tan-colored and the paw pads on the undersides are yellowish orange. Raichu also have a long, thin, black tail that ends in a large lightning bolt shape. Alolan Raichu slightly resembles an Audino. Its tail is now in an oval shape that allows Raichu to stand on it as if it is actually surfing. Alolan Raichu also now has bright blue eyes, darker skin tone, white hands and feet, and yellow ears pointing upwards. Hau's Alolan Raichu is male.

Alolan Raichu focuses psychic energy into its tail and rides it like it's surfing. Another name for this Pokémon is "hodad."

Raichu knows Thunder Shock, Discharge, and Gigavolt Havoc.

Thunder Shock: Raichu's body glows yellow and it releases a yellow lightning bolt from its body at the opponent.

Discharge: Raichu releases electric sparks from its cheeks and it releases multiple beams of electricity from its body at the opponent.

Gigavolt Havoc: Raichu strikes a series of synchronized poses with its Trainer to build Z-Power. It then gathers a large ball of yellow electricity and launches it towards the target with a punch.

Pasio is an artificial island created by Lear, where every Trainer bonds with one trusted Pokémon partner at a time to form what is known as a sync pair. These sync pairs fight together in Pasio’s signature 3-on-3 team battles. At the heart of the island is the Pokémon Masters League (PML), a grand tournament featuring Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, Champions, and other notable Trainers from every region. To qualify, participants must defeat PML Leaders across Pasio and earn five badges while adventuring with their partnered Pokémon. Centra City is the island’s largest hub, hosting a Pokémon Center complete with a shop and café. Other major locations include the Battle Villa, a multi-floor challenge facility for endurance-based combat, and several specialized arenas scattered across the island. The most prestigious battleground is the Champion Stadium, where the final rounds of the PML are fought. Meanwhile, the Trainer Lodge serves as a social space where Trainers gather, interact, and strengthen their partnerships.
