The sun beat down mercilessly over the open athletic field as a group of students walked out for their scheduled physical education class. The heat had been rising steadily since early morning, and now, by midday, the air felt thick and heavy. The clear sky above gave no hint of shade or relief, and the ground seemed to shimmer in the heat. Despite the conditions, today’s class was set to focus on endurance activities, pushing the students to challenge their limits.

As the students gathered near the starting line, a few of them exchanged glances, already dreading the workout ahead. They could feel beads of sweat forming on their foreheads before they’d even started, and some clutched water bottles, hoping to stay hydrated. Some whispered complaints, and a few cast longing looks back toward the air-conditioned comfort they’d left behind. But, knowing the class rules, they prepared themselves mentally for the tasks ahead, ready to push through the intense conditions.

Halloween night in the school dormitory had a charged, eerie atmosphere. Dim lights flickered along the long, narrow hallways, casting shadows that seemed to dance with a life of their own. Ghostly decorations adorned the walls, with fake cobwebs stretching across door frames and jack-o'-lanterns with menacing grins glowing faintly in the darkness. The faint sounds of eerie music, paired with the muffled hum of distant laughter, floated through the dorm, making the usual silence feel unsettling. An occasional creak echoed as people tiptoed, trying to add a sense of mystery and suspense to the already spooky setting.

In the common room, the usually cozy space had transformed into a haunted gathering spot. Dark curtains blocked out any hint of moonlight, leaving only the flickering candles and a couple of faux lanterns to light the space. A cauldron filled with fog and glowing liquid sat in one corner, casting a dim, bluish hue over the room, while spooky props and makeshift skeletons hung from the walls. The scent of caramel and pumpkin lingered in the air, blending with the slight chill that came from an open window down the hall. Every creak, whisper, and gust of wind intensified the anticipation, making Halloween night in the dorm feel both thrilling and a bit ominous.
