- #1K'tk'ch't'tss (Katech'tetss/Ka'Tetch) Insectoids
Keys: Ka'Tetch, Insectoid, Alien, K'tk'tss'chk, Ktekatas, T'ch'kt't'ssch, K'tk'ch't'tss, Tetch'ketitessitch, Tukachiss, Katech'tetss, Extraterrestrial, T'k'chss
K'tk'ch't'tss (Katech'tetss / Ka'Tetch) are an arthropoidal insectoid species divided into three primary ethnic morphotypes: T'k'chss (Tukachiss), K'tk'tss'chk (Ktekatas), and T'ch'kt't'ssch (Tetch'ketitessitch), each with distinct body plans and adaptations. They originate from a world of deserts and jungles. Their homeworld, T't'kch (Tetakutch) is in the lower middle area of the Sagittarius arm. The gravity of the planet is 0.62Gs.
Across the species, individuals average between 4'4" and 4'11" in height, measured based on head position. Their body structure is centaur-like, consisting of four primary locomotion legs and a semi-vestigial third set of hind legs. A raised vertical torso extends from the front of the thorax, supporting two arms. The underside of the thorax sits between 16 and 22 inches above the ground. All members possess a chitinous exoskeleton and mandibles capable of fine motor control, used in conjunction with their arms for precision tasks.
The T'k'chss (Tukachiss) are characterized by a wide thorax ranging from 3'0" to 3'9" in width and a height of 30" to 34" to the top of the thorax. They average 4'6" in total height. This group produces webbing and uses their semi-vestigial third leg set both for rest and to guide web construction. Their build emphasizes stability. Primary pigmentation includes navy blue, deep brown, black, and rarely azure blue, with secondary coloration commonly appearing as emerald green, sapphire blue, or dull red.
The K'tk'tss'chk (Ktekatas) are taller and more slender, averaging 4'9" in height. Their thorax is cylindrical, measuring between 1'7" and 2'1" in width and 25" to 30" in height. Like the Tukachiss, they are capable of producing webbing and use their third leg set for both rest and web manipulation. Their coloration is generally darker, with primary tones of black-green, black, dark brown, and dark green, and secondary accents of blood red, azure blue, and lush green.
The T'ch'kt't'ssch (Tetch'ketitessitch) possess a wide but flattened thorax, measuring between 2'8" and 3'2" in width and 21" to 27" in height. They average 4'4" in total height. Unlike the other two groups, they do not produce webbing. Their third leg set is used primarily for rest. They are capable of further flattening their thorax, and their sandy tan, white (silica-toned), and reddish-brown primary coloration provides natural camouflage, with secondary tones of brown, tan, and red.
Reproduction occurs through egg-laying, with clutches ranging from 18 to 32 eggs, of which 7 to 22 are typically viable. Non-viable eggs serve as a food source for hatchlings. There is no larval stage; individuals grow through successive molting cycles, shedding their exoskeleton as they mature. Males are generally stockier than females within each ethnicity and are less likely to possess web-producing capabilities.
Their phonetic system is limited but structured, consisting of the sounds T, K, CH, and SS (a scraping sound), as well as simultaneous combinations such as KT and TK. Apostrophes indicate brief pauses between sounds. All vocalization is produced through mandible interaction, either by striking or scraping.
The species has an average intelligence equivalent to an IQ of 82 on a human scale, with a genius threshold of 112 and a super-genius threshold of 146. They reached anatomical modernity approximately 2.9 million years ago. Their technological development progressed through agriculture around 115,000 years ago, metallurgy at approximately 48,000 years ago, and iron smelting around 10,000 BC. Steam power was achieved by 32 AD, local spaceflight by 1,145 AD, and faster-than-light travel by 1588 AD.
Their energy infrastructure is primarily based on solar and nuclear power, consistent with most spacefaring civilizations. Technologically, they show a strong preference for mechanical systems, favoring them over electrical solutions when practical and not significantly more costly.
The K'tk'ch't'tss are carnivorous and unable to inhabit cold planetary environments.
Their governance system is an oligarchic kinship autocracy. Society is organized into large clans, each led by a male elder who represents the clan in governing bodies. These elders participate in collective decision-making, particularly within a Legal Council and a body of Clan District representatives, analogous to a senate and tribunes. The central leader is an autocrat chosen through these bodies and holds significant authority with few effective checks on power. While structurally reminiscent of the late Roman Empire, their system lacks strong republican traditions and is instead rooted in kinship hierarchy.
Culturally, they are strongly oriented around familial loyalty, with primary allegiance given to their clan. They are militant and aggressive by nature, but this is tempered by a high degree of patience, allowing for calculated and strategic behavior. This combination fosters a political environment characterized by frequent internal competition, power struggles between clans, and a high degree of intrigue.
- #2Sch-holt-hirm (Sholt-hirm/Scholt-hirm) Reptilioids
Keys: , Alien, Reptilioid, Scholt-hirm, Sch-holt-hirm, P-hassch-hirm, hAuld-herd-hirm, AuldheirdhirmPas-schirm, Sholt-hirm, Extraterrestrial, Reptilian
Sch-holt-hirm (Sholt-hirm / Scholt-hirm) are a reptilioid sapient species divided into two primary groups: the P-hassch-hirm (Pas-schirm) and the hAuld-herd-hirm (Auldheirdhirm). They are bipedal, tailed, carnivorous, and covered in scales, with pronounced snouts and digitigrade (satyr-like) leg structures that support efficient locomotion.
The P-hassch-hirm (Pas-schirm) are taller and more slender, averaging approximately 7'8" in height, with long tails averaging 3'9". They are highly agile and fast-moving. Their scales are partially iridescent and commonly appear in light green, vibrant green, vibrant blue, silver, gold, or reflective black.
The hAuld-herd-hirm (Auldheirdhirm) are shorter and more robust, averaging approximately 6'11" in height, with tails averaging 2'5". They are physically stronger and better suited for manual labor, with a more stable and less speed-oriented build. Their coloration is more muted, commonly including dark green, pastels, tan, brown, near black, and red tones.
The Sch-holt-hirm originate from a terrestrial planet in the upper portion of Region 2 of Imparsi Scriti (Perseus Arm). Their homeworld has a gravity of approximately 0.74 G and is characterized by extensive forests, plains, and large oceans.
The species has an average intelligence equivalent to an IQ of 83 on a human scale, with a genius threshold of 114 and a super-genius threshold of 150.
Reproduction occurs through egg-laying. While sexual activity is possible year-round, fertility is dependent on female heat cycles, which are often triggered by environmental cues. Egg laying occurs predominantly after fertilization.
Their phonetic system includes standard human vowels (A, E, I, O, U), though these are almost always preceded by a breathy “h” sound. Consonants include p, s, n, b, d, th, ch, sch, sh, t, f, h, k, g, l, x, z, y, and r. A dash (-) within a word indicates a boundary where the “h” is not added to a consonant and instead marks the presence of a breathy vowel separation, as in “Ps-heirst-halm.” Their speech is therefore characterized by a consistently breathy quality layered over structured consonant clusters.
Their governance is an oligarchic aristocratic republic dominated by the Pas-schirm, who comprise approximately 5% of the population. This ruling caste functions as the aristocracy, bureaucracy, and administrative body of their civilization. While the Auldheirdhirm are not formally subjugated, they rarely attain comparable levels of wealth or influence. The Pas-schirm elect representatives both regionally and within aristocratic households, forming the basis of governance. While kinship remains relevant, political and economic alliances are prioritized over familial ties.
Temperament varies significantly between the two groups. The Auldheirdhirm are generally honorable, stoic, and direct, valuing straightforward action and principle. In contrast, the Pas-schirm are clever, polite, patient, and often vengeful, favoring long-term strategy and calculated responses. This divide reinforces both the functional and social stratification within their society.

- #3Swiikvust (Swikas/Suikust) Avioids
Keys: Alien, Avian, Suikust, Emperor, Swikas, Extraterrestrial, Swiikvust, Empire
The Swiikvust (also spelled Swikas or Suikust) are an omnivorous avian species characterized by a large, broad build and a partially flight-capable physiology adapted primarily for gliding. They possess two legs, two arms, and two wings, with digitigrade lower limbs supporting efficient terrestrial movement. While capable of limited powered flight, they rely predominantly on gliding, aided by their native environment. They average approximately 7'2" in height and have hollow bones reinforced with internal structures that allow for greater muscle mass than typical avian analogues.
They originate from a planet in the upper southern region of the Isuma Scriti (Sagittarius Arm), with a planetary gravity of approximately 0.77 G. Their homeworld is dominated by dense jungles and steep crags, an environment that favors vertical movement and gliding between elevated terrain.
The Swiikvust exhibit minimal internal biological variation, with no major ethnic or morphotype distinctions. Differences between populations are primarily limited to feather coloration, with certain color patterns being more prevalent in specific regions.
Their communication system is highly tonal and based on chirp-like vocalizations. Their phonetic structure includes the vowels a, aa, e, ee, i, ii, u, and uu, as well as the consonants s, k, g, r, and h. Double vowels indicate elongated sounds, and the tilde (~) denotes a vibrated or trilled sound. In written form, the letters “w” and “v” are used as tonal markers, indicating rising and falling tones respectively. This results in a language that relies heavily on pitch, duration, and subtle vocal variation.
The Swiikvust have an average intelligence equivalent to an IQ of 88 on a human scale, with a genius threshold of 127 and a super-genius threshold of 144. They reached anatomical modernity approximately 1.3 million years ago. Their technological development includes agriculture around 213,000 years ago, metallurgy at approximately 43,000 years ago, and iron smelting around 8,000 BC. Steam power was achieved by approximately 13 AD, local spaceflight by 913 AD, and faster-than-light travel by 1514 AD.
Swiikvust reproduction is egg laying and based on an 8 week cycle. Fertilization must occur within the 2nd or 3rd week, or the eggs that are laid will be infertile. Clutches are 2-5, though not every egg is guaranteed to be fertilized.
Their temperament is direct, honorbound, observant, and action-oriented. Despite the advancement of their society and governance structures, many tribal traditions and mentalities remain deeply ingrained, influencing behavior, social norms, and decision-making processes.
The Swiikvust operate under a representative feudalist monarchy. The lowest level of governance is the community, typically small towns led by headmen or chiefs who manage local affairs. These headmen interact with minor nobles who oversee cities or rural territories. Headmen also serve a legislative role, voting on legislative officials on behalf of their communities.
Executive and judicial authority is held by landed nobles, whose domains can range from rural territories to entire star systems. All noble titles and land ownership are hereditary. At higher levels, urban populations elect officials known as Tribunaries, who serve as legislative representatives in broader governing bodies.
The entire system is ultimately headed by a hereditary monarch, the Emperor. While the population consists of freemen rather than serfs or slaves, they remain subject to the authority of the nobility. Religious leaders hold partial judicial authority, with the power to veto and reassess the judgments of nobles, providing a limited check on aristocratic power.
- #4Iktui (Not even gonna try making an alien version) Cephaloidic Gelatoids
Keys: Iktui, Alien, Cephaloid, Cephaloidic, Gelatoid, Extraterrestrial
The Iktui are a cephaloidic gelatoid species with a highly flexible, gelatinous physiology supported by an internal cartilage framework. They average approximately 3'8" in diameter and possess five extendable nubs, four of which function as grapplers for manipulation and interaction, while the fifth serves a reproductive role. Within their bodies are nine movable cartilage structures, including a central piece approximately 2.6 inches in diameter and additional pieces distributed near each nub and between the center and outer regions. Their two eyes, each about 2.5 inches in diameter, are suspended within the gel and can move freely, typically remaining near the central cartilage. Their bodies are covered in a thin, dry film that prevents the accumulation of mud and debris despite their gelatinous composition.
The Iktui originate from a warm, humid terrestrial world in the upper portion of Region 3 of Imparsi Scriti (Perseus Arm) with a gravity of 0.58Gs. Their planet is characterized by heavy cloud coverage, near-constant rainfall, and a highly water-saturated surface. On average, only about 40% of any given acre is land, with a minimum of three bodies of water present, most of which are shallow ponds or lakes. Deep water is relatively rare. Periodically, every few years, most of the planet’s surface—excluding elevated terrain such as hills and mountains—is covered in a shallow layer of water. The Iktui are fully amphibious, capable of breathing both in water and on land.
Their communication is dual-layered. For basic interaction, they use color shifting across their bodies to convey simple signals or emotional states. For more complex communication, they employ a system combining echolocation-like signaling and dolphin-like vocalizations. These vocalizations vary depending on environment, becoming higher-pitched in water and lower-pitched on land.
The Iktui have an average intelligence equivalent to an IQ of 92 on a human scale, with a genius threshold of 133 and a super-genius threshold of 154. They reached anatomical modernity approximately 23 million years ago. Their technological development began with agriculture around 1.2 million years ago, followed by metallurgy at approximately 450,000 years ago and iron smelting around 112,000 years ago. They achieved steam power by approximately 3,450 BC, local spaceflight by 223 BC, and faster-than-light travel by 455 AD.
Reproduction occurs through large-scale egg-laying in shallow, nutrient-rich ponds. Clutches typically exceed 300 eggs. After hatching, the young exist as small, free-floating gel bodies lacking internal structure. During this early stage, most individuals merge together, consolidating into fewer, larger organisms. This combination phase is essential; attempts to prevent it result in total clutch failure. By approximately the second week of development, individuals form a dry epidermal layer, preventing further merging. From that point until roughly week 34, they develop their internal cartilage structures and organ systems. Final clutch outcomes typically result in 5 to 14 mature individuals.
Iktui exhibit a primarily solitary temperament, though they form small, stable social units. They are generally open to new experiences and environments but do not seek large-scale social interaction. Instead, they form “found kin” groups consisting of 3 to 7 individuals. After reaching adulthood, individuals spend approximately 10 years as wanderers, seeking others with whom to form these groups. Once established, they settle into a largely sedentary lifestyle for the remainder of their lives.
They are generally monogamous, though variations exist. Males may take a secondary female mate, and some groups include an additional female who moves between households. Their settlements are extremely low-density compared to most sapient species, averaging around 5 individuals per acre, with densities ranging from 0.5 to 7 individuals per acre.
Their governance system is a decentralized representative federation with authority distributed across multiple levels. Cities govern their immediate surroundings under layered legal systems that include territorial, planetary, and federal law. Surrounding each city are Shires, which contain dispersed residential areas often spanning miles. Each Shire elects a representative to the city, and these representatives select the city’s executive leadership, while urban populations elect the city’s legislative body.
At higher levels, city leaders elect representatives for territorial governance, while territorial populations elect legislative officials. Territorial officials then select planetary executives, with planetary populations electing legislative bodies. Finally, planetary officials elect both the head of the Federation and its legislative representatives. This system emphasizes local autonomy, minimal governmental interference in daily life, and a primary focus on maintaining economic stability and preventing conflict.
- #5Ghuldikri (No need for human specific term) Reptilioids
Keys: Alien, Disial, Reptilioid, Ghuldikri, Extraterrestrial, Reptilian
The Ghuldikri are a reptilioid, caste-based hive species originating from the far southern portion of the Sotani Scriti (Orion Spur), near its boundary with the Imparsi Scriti (Perseus Arm). They evolved on an arid world dominated by savannahs and steppe lands, with a planetary gravity of approximately 0.67 G. Omnivores with meat preference.
They are bipedal with a generally humanoid leg structure, though their feet resemble those of a velociraptor. Most castes possess plantigrade leg structures, with the exception of the Inquisitor caste, which has digitigrade legs. All Ghuldikri have tails, with length varying by caste, and possess specialized gill-like organs along their necks that produce pheromones. These pheromones are detected through olfaction via their snouts and form a core component of their social and behavioral systems.
Ghuldikri society is divided into rigid biological castes, with individuals hatching directly into their caste and no reassignment occurring later in life. The castes are as follows:
The Disial caste serves as the ruling and reproductive class, making up approximately 5% of the population. They are physically smaller and less capable in terms of raw strength but excel in administrative and scientific roles. Disials govern territories and settlements, with at least one present in every settlement acting as the local administrator. They are responsible for enabling reproduction by producing specialized pheromones, either directly or through bottled distribution. Disials can also emit a light command pheromone that influences all other castes, though they themselves are immune to all such effects. They are more expressive and emotionally driven than other castes.
The Inquisitor caste, also comprising about 5% of the population, functions as elite enforcers and garrison forces. They maintain social order, enforce norms, and act as extensions of Disial authority. They are highly responsive to Disial command pheromones and can emit their own pheromones that strongly influence all lower castes.
The Warrior caste, making up approximately 19% of the population, is responsible for combat and defense. They possess a weaker form of command pheromone that influences the Farmer and Laborer castes.
The Explorer caste, at roughly 21% of the population, encompasses merchants, scouts, and expeditionaries, serving roles related to exploration, trade, and external interaction.
The Laborer caste forms the largest portion of the population at around 32% and is responsible for construction, infrastructure, and other forms of physical labor.
The Gatherer or Farmer caste comprises approximately 18% of the population and is responsible for food production and resource gathering.
Reproduction in Ghuldikri is tightly controlled and involves three sexes: male, female, and Disial. While males and females function biologically in typical reproductive roles, they are infertile without the presence of specialized pheromones produced by Disials. These pheromones are generated when Disials are aroused, and Disials themselves experience pleasure through sensing the reproductive pheromones of males and females. This system makes Disials the biological gatekeepers of reproduction and ensures population control is directly tied to the ruling caste.
Communication among Ghuldikri is primarily verbal, consisting of a harsh, direct-sounding language with strong consonant emphasis and no breathy vowel qualities, though the H phoneme is present. Pheromones act as a secondary layer of communication, influencing how spoken information is received, interpreted, and acted upon. This creates a dual-channel communication system where speech conveys intent and pheromones modulate behavioral response.
Their governance system is an administrative dictatorship in which the Disial caste holds absolute authority. Disial clans elect a central leader for a ten-year term, while lower-level administrators are appointed and can be reassigned or removed at any time. This system is highly centralized and reinforces the biological caste hierarchy.
The Ghuldikri have an average intelligence equivalent to an IQ of 78 on a human scale, with a genius threshold of 109 and a super-genius threshold of 141.
Culturally and behaviorally, the Ghuldikri are highly conformant, task-oriented, detail-focused, and stoic. Most castes exhibit minimal emotional expression and a strong adherence to assigned roles. This conformity is reinforced by their pheromone system, which influences but does not fully control behavior, allowing for limited individuality within a rigid social framework. Disials stand apart in temperament, being more expressive and emotionally driven due to their central role in governance and reproduction.

- #6Osisfron Mammalioids
Keys: Alien, Mammalioid, Otter, Osisfron, Extraterrestrial, Mammalian
The Osisfron are a mammalioid, semi-aquatic species resembling bipedal otters. They originate from an ocean-dominated world located in the middle of Region 3 of the Imparsi Scriti (Perseus Arm), with a planetary gravity of approximately 0.82 G. Their homeworld consists primarily of vast oceans broken by scattered islands and archipelagos, shaping a species adapted to both aquatic and coastal environments.
They average approximately 6'3" in height and possess slender builds. Their physiology is well-suited for swimming, with webbed fingers and toes that enhance mobility in water. As semi-aquatic beings, they are equally comfortable on land and in marine environments. Their diet is both carnivorous and insectivorous, reflecting the ecological diversity of their homeworld.
Osisfron temperament is characterized by curiosity, impulsiveness, naivety, and high energy. They are highly extroverted and inclined toward social interaction and exploration, often displaying risk-taking behavior driven by their inquisitive nature.
Their governance system is a techno-bureaucratic theocracy in which religious and administrative authority are closely intertwined. The priesthood serves as the primary source of authority, appointing technocrats who carry out bureaucratic and executive functions. Their religion centers on scientific progress, guided by an established ethical code that frames advancement as both a moral and spiritual pursuit.
At the top of this structure is the Theocratic Council, whose members are elected by local Priest Magistrates. This council appoints the highest-ranking officials and grants authority for further appointments down the hierarchical structure of the priesthood. The system operates through layered circuits of authority, with power flowing from the council downward. Technocrats, appointed by the priesthood, manage the practical aspects of governance, ensuring the implementation of policy and administration of society.
The Osisfron reached anatomical modernity approximately 780,000 years ago. Their technological development includes the emergence of agriculture around 54,000 years ago, metallurgy around 15,890 BC, and iron smelting around 5,720 BC. They achieved steam power by approximately 340 AD, local spaceflight by 956 AD, and faster-than-light travel by 1601 AD.
They possess an average intelligence equivalent to an IQ of 91 on a human scale, with a genius threshold of 130 and a super-genius threshold of 150. Reproduction is placental, with live birth.

- #12Galactic Regions
Keys: Galaxy, Ameuni, Milky Way, Oprus, Scritum, , neighborhood, Province, Ektan, section, Isuma, Scriti, Imparsi, Region, Sotani, Ormiundi, Setoriami
The Galactic Forum reached consensus in 211GS (Galactic Standard, 1782AD) regarding the mapping of the galaxy.
The two major arms, Imparsi Scriti (Perseus Arm) and Setoriami Scriti (Scutum-Centaurus Arm), were designated as Scritum Ameuni (Locations Major) and divided into five equal sections each. These sections are numbered based on proximity to the base of the arm at the galactic center.
The galactic center, including the Galactic Bar, was designated as restricted space. Access is limited to research purposes only, with a permanent interspecies presence maintained by the Galactic Forum to ensure compliance.
Smaller arms were classified as Scritum Ormiundi (Locations Minor) and, depending on size, were either kept as a single region or divided into up to three.
Sotani Scriti (Orion Arm/Spur) is divided into 2 regions, Galactic North and Galactic South. Oprus (3 kiloparsec arms) are each designated as single regions. Ektan Scriti (Norma Arm) is divided into three regions. Isuma Scriti (Sagittarius Arm) is divided into three regions. Isuma Janka (Sagittarius Splinter) is designated as a single region.
Minor arms use Galactic North, South, and Middle for regional naming, while major arms use numerical designations.
At present, Galactic Forum member species occupy only regions 2 through 4 of Imparsi Scriti, extending into the Sotani (Orion [spur]) and Isuma Scritian (Sagittarius Arms). This limitation is due to current travel constraints, which restrict most exploration and transit to these regions.
As of 452GS (2023AD), the majority of star systems within these areas remain unexplored. Most individuals rely on established hyperlanes for travel, leaving exploration and route discovery primarily to independent explorers or governmental bodies.
Setoriami Scriti (Scutum-Centaurus Arm) remains entirely unexplored.
- #13Galactic Forum and Standards
Keys: Galaxy, Galactic, species, Standard, Forum, sapient, politics, interspecies, consensus
The Galactic Forum, founded in 1GS (Galactic Standard, 1572AD), was made by the first 3 Sapient species (NEED TO DEFINE LATER) in the region to come into contact with each other in the upper 2nd region and lower 3rd regions of Imparsi Scriti (The Perseus Arm). In the first session, it was decided that a universal written language would be needed, and so Galactic Written Standard (GWS) was made over the course of a few decades and finished in 32GS (1603AD). GWS is not intended to be a spoken language and pulls from the phonetics of all known species at the time of finishing (32GS, 6 known species). A universal calendar was also decided on that set a standard day cycle to 24 hours and a solar cycle, or year, as 365 days, with the first year of the Galactic Forum marking 1GS, or the First Year of the Galactic Calendar Standard. The Galactic Forum holds little authority outside of consensus building and predominantly exists to create interspecies standards and aid in diplomacy.
