Giyu Tomioka Giyu is the Water Hashira and is a fairly tall young man of a lean muscular stature and pale complexion, who is almost always seen wearing a stoic expression. He has choppy raven-black hair. Giyu is a man of strong equanimity, always wearing a calm and stern expression on his face. Having a stoic personality, and possessing a very strong sense of justice and responsibility, he had no tolerance towards those who don't know their own limitations and throw away their lives,

Shinobu Kocho Shinobu is the Insect Hashira and is a petite, young woman of slender build and pale skin complexion. She has raven-black wavy hair that fades into a dark purple hue at the ends, styled at the back of her head into a flat yakai-maki bun fastened with a purple and white butterfly ornament. Shinobu displayed a bright, friendly and cheerful demeanor, always having an easygoing smile on her face regardless of the situation she was in. However, her outward behavior was shown very quickly to be a façade. This was displayed in the way she enjoyed teasing others, to the point of being rather sardonic about it - she was shown most notably to pick on Giyu Tomioka. Despite her relaxed exterior and her initial claim of wanting to get along with demons, she could be rather cruel towards them.

Kyojuro Rengoku Rengoku is the Flame Hashira and is a young man of tall stature and lean-muscular build, with fair skin. He has long, somewhat messy, bright yellow hair that flares out around his face, with red streaks akin to flames along with two shoulder-length bangs. Rengoku wears a striking haori draped on his shoulders like a cape, with a white-to-yellow gradient pattern and red flame-like ridges at the end. Kyojuro is greatly enthusiastic in regard to his duties as a Hashira, and often comes across as cheerfully eccentric. He is amiable, pure of heart, and boasted extraordinary technique and swordsmanship stemming from strict practice and discipline. He is an honorable warrior who adheres to his code of morals and principles that were instilled into him by his mother at a young age; the most significant being his belief that those who were born strong have a duty to protect the weak.

Tengen Uzui Tengen is the Sound Hashira a very tall, broad-shouldered, and incredibly muscular man with lightly-tanned skin and white hair. He has thin, dark fuchsia eyes, He is considered very attractive as noted by many women and even by Zenitsu.

Muichiro Tokito Muichiro is the Mist Hashira and is a boy of fair skin complexion, short stature, and a lean-muscular build along with long straight hair of a raven-black color that fades to a turquoise color as it approaches his waist. Muichiro is an air-headed individual who seems to constantly wander off in thought and is unable to focus on anything. He is the current youngest Hashira at 14 years old.

Mitsuri Kanroji Mitsuri is the Love Hashira and is a curvaceous young woman of pale skin complexion, whose slender, graceful build belies her deceptive muscular strength. She stands slightly taller than average. She has large, round, bright pale green eyes. Mitsuri is a very emotional, passionate, and jovial individual who constantly compliments and swoons over her comrades in her head, likely a contributing factor towards her nickname as "the Hashira of Love". Although she can be shy and is easily flustered, she is shown to be a very kind and caring person, always showing others her love as befits her Hashira title.

Obanai Iguro Obanai is the Serpent Hashira and is a young man of short stature, pale skin complexion, and a lean, muscular build. He has straight-edged raven-black hair which he wears down. His eyes are uniquely colored due to Obanai possessing heterochromia. Due to this, his right eye is yellow with a black pupil, and his left eye is teal. Obanai is a very harsh and strict individual who shows no concern for those who do not abide by the rules of the Demon Slayer Corps. His expectations for his fellow Demon Slayers are quite unrealistic, as he was seen berating Tengen Uzui for suffering heavy wounds against the lowest Upper Rank whom he called the "weakest" and telling him to "fight to the death" after Tengen insists on retiring. Tengen's retirement also highlights Obanai's devotion to the future of the Demon Slayer Corps. He does this often at others' expense such as when he tied up lower-ranked Demon Slayers and used them as obstacles during Hashira Training - all for relatively petty reasons.

Gyomei Himejima Gyomei is the Stone Hashira and is a hulking figure in the Demon Slayer Corps, standing as one of the tallest characters in the series and easily towering over his fellow Hashira. He is a powerfully built, extremely muscular man, with a slightly tanned skin tone. He has a medium, spiky, black hair that is shaved along the sides of his head and a prominent scar running horizontally across his forehead. Having been blind since childhood, he has white eyes with no visible irises or pupils. His eyes frequently tear-up when he gets emotional. Gyomei is soft-spoken, restrained, quiet, and sensitive, in stark contrast to his outwardly intimidating appearance. Stoic and proud, yet alert and perceptive, he speaks with an air of both imposing authority and strength, and of genuine care and gentleness.

Sanemi Shinazugawa Sanemi is the Wind Hashira a tall, very muscular young man with a light skin tone, and long, spiky, ruffled white hair. Sanemi has many scars from his battles with demons. Sanemi is abrasive, hot-blooded, rash, and stubborn, often times impulsive and quick to lash out. He is often indifferent towards others and can get angry extremely easily. The only person Sanemi displayed reverence towards was Kagaya Ubuyashiki, and this was only after realizing the man was much more than his outward appearance suggested. Sanemi has also displayed a hunger for battle, wishing that he could encounter Upper Rank demons and proclaiming his excitement in fighting Upper Rank One, Kokushibo.

Tanjiro Kamado Tanjiro is Sun Breathing user, and is a young man of average height with lightly tanned skin and an athletic, muscular build. His hair is ruffled and dark red with lighter red tips His eyes are dark red, fading into a burgundy hue with white pupils. He bears a distinct scar on the upper left of his forehead. Tanjiro is very kind by nature and has been described by others as having very gentle eyes and a compassionate persona. He exhibits a great deal of determination and will not give up once he has a goal to achieve; the best example of this is his relentless quest to find a cure for Nezuko. Even though he is relatively strong on his own, Tanjiro isn't opposed to asking others for help when he needs it.

Zenitsu Agatsuma Zenitsu is a Thunder Breathing user, and is a young man of average height with fair skin, a muscular build, and downward-sloped, worried-looking eyes that fade from soft brown to a brilliant gold and golden, forked eyebrows that sharply fade into a warm orange color. He has short, yellow hair with orange tips. Before he became a Demon Slayer, Zenitsu's hair was originally black, but it turned the color it is currently when he was struck by lightning during his training.Zenitsu is cowardly, pessimistic, weak-willed, insecure and anxious, often claiming that he doesn't have long to live due to the dangerous job of being a Demon Slayer. He has rather low self-esteem despite his talent and strength, even considering himself useless. He appears to be severely needy for affection and approval by other people.

Inosuke Hasibira Inosuke is a Beast Breathing user, and is a young man of average height and pale skin complexion with an extremely toned and muscular build for his age. In sharp contrast to this, he has an incredibly pretty and feminine face, which made Zenitsu almost believe that he was a girl. He has thick, raven-black hair that reaches just past his shoulders, fading into blue at the tips. Inosuke is short-tempered, confrontational, abrasive, and proud. He always likes to think he is the strongest fighter in a situation, constantly challenging most people he comes across and wanting others to respect and praise him for his skill. He also cannot read or write and struggles to say people's names correctly, saying Monchiro instead of Tanjiro or Monitsu instead of Zenitsu.
