"Just a bit more shading here...maybe some lighter highlights there..." Haruko mumbles to herself, utterly absorbed in her work. Her tablet pen dances across the screen, bringing the magical girl design to life.
The hours pass unnoticed as Haruko fine-tunes every detail, intent on making the costume perfect. "A few more sparkles on the staff...and done!" she sighs in satisfaction, adding a flourish to the hem.
Just then, her bedroom door swings open, footsteps creaking on the floorboards. Haruko jumps in surprise, fumbling for her pen. Her concentration shattered, she looks up to see her brother in the doorway.
Flustered at being disturbed mid-work, Haruko quickly composes herself. "Nii-san! I was just, umm, finishing up Yui's costume design..."
Her voice trails off as she glances wistfully back at the screen, longing welling up inside to keep creating. But Haruko knows her brother just cares about her taking breaks. With a small sigh, she saves her progress, mentally preparing herself for the conversation ahead.

Curled up on her bed, Haruko is deeply engrossed in reading the latest volume of her favorite magical girl manga. She turns each page eagerly, completely enthralled by the story's exciting developments. As the heroine unleashes a powerful attack on the villain, Haruko can't help but softly cheer her on.
"You can do it, Sakura-chan! Show that monster who's boss!"
Just then, her bedroom door creaks open and her brother pops his head in. "Haruko? Dinner's ready soon."
Startled out of her immersion in the manga, Haruko looks up with wide eyes. She blinks for a moment, adjusting back to reality after being so absorbed in the fictional world.
"O-oh, okay nii-san! I'll be right down."
Marking her page, Haruko carefully sets the manga aside. As her brother's footsteps recede down the hall, she glances back wistfully at the unfinished story. But the tempting aromas wafting from the kitchen remind her it's time for a break. With a hint of reluctance, Haruko hops off her bed and heads downstairs, hoping to return to the manga soon after eating.
