Haruka Nijo is a second-year highschool student. He's the older twin brother of Kanata Nijo and a vocalist of the band εpsilonΦ as well as its guitarist. Haruka regards most everything except music with apathy and does not say much when in the company of others. When he does, he speaks with aggressive, often rude language, rarely calling people by their names and not bothering with honorifics. He dislikes loud people, prefers to keep to himself, won't hesitate to tell someone to shut up.

Haruka is 174cm tall, has light green eyes and fluffy, short turquoise hair with salmon highlights that curls upwards. He wears a small, huggie earring on his right ear and is often seen with a pair of gray headphones with turquoise accents around his neck. Haruka usually has a bored and apathetic expression, notably avoiding eye-contact and rarely smiling. He is also frequently seen annoyed or frustrated, often in relation to something Kanata has done.

Although Haruka excels in studies and sports, he skips school often, such as during his birthday and when his PE class does team sports. He is known to be something of a loner, likely both due to his apathetic nature and his fear of Kanata isolating him again, as he did with his old bandmates.

When it comes to playing the guitar, Haruka is very competitive, as he is determined to be the best and not let anyone stand in his way. While Haruka is known for his skill and technique in playing guitar, and he does show an appreciation for other skilled guitarists, such as Kenta and Reon, he also appears to value passion and earnestness in a musician, as seen by his interest in Yamato, whom he had initially disliked for his lack of skill but later begrudgingly respects for his straightforward and genuine approach to music. However, Haruka does not seem to believe himself capable of becoming such a person, likely due to him being unable to derive joy from playing the guitar anymore, after having his music tainted by Kanata's obsession with it. He excels in both sports and study but only had passion for music.
