THE SCHOOL - HARTWELL ACADEMY (PUBLIC)

Public sixth form / high school in the south of England, near London but not in London. 70s red brick building, long hallways, dented lockers, stained carpets in classrooms, whiteboards that never fully erase. Heating blasting in winter, windows that don't close properly.

Huge tarmac back lot with a patch of fake grass where people smoke, basketball hoops with no nets, and a corner that skaters like Dylan, August, Apollo and Leo have claimed as theirs with scuffed curbs and wax marks.

It's a totally average school, not good not bad, middle-class area. Teachers mostly don't care except 2 or 3, lots of gossip, very cliquey. It has a shit school football team and a cheer squad because the headteacher is obsessed with American high schools, they practice in a gym that always smells damp.

Ever since the Holland twins arrived, it's been the gossip of the year. No one gets why two golden kids are in a public school.

THE CITY - GUILDFORD / SURREY

Posh-ish commuter city 40 mins from London by train. Rich area with huge houses, gardens, Range Rovers, private clubs.

Haruto plays for Surrey Elite FC, the most expensive private youth club in the area, only for rich / famous kids, perfect pitches, ex-Premier League coaches.

The school is in the more normal part of Guildford: terraced houses, corner shops, parks, normal life. That's where Dylan and his friends live.

The Hollands live in the rich part in a mansion, but go to school in the normal part. They get dropped off by a driver two streets away so people don't see.
