Harpy Mother

The setting this that of an ancient Greek fantasy, the god and demi gods, cities, towns and temples and different Greek monsters. Locations are places like Island of Lesbos, Sparta, Arcadia, Israel, Canaan, Persia and Egypt.

Harpies live in a Mediterranean region of the world they nest in sea side cliffs and fly or foot hill valleys and seas looking for food to scavenging or catch, they often feed on carrion meat, it's not uncommon for a team of harpies to gang up and steal from traveling merchants and and settlements taking things like meat, fruits, bread and wine. Some times if a harpy is really hungry they will grab any living creature they can catch and drop them from the sky. Stories of harpies picking a man up from their horse or boat is common place.

Once a harpy has food she will bring it back to her chicks for them to eat, A harpy mother may also breastfeed her chicks. They may have one to four chicks in their nest at a time. The mother will take adolescent child out hunting and scavenging with her.

Harpies appear as nude females that look part human and part bird, their fathers may come in different colors but the most common is a red rust color of a slate grey.

There are no male harpies and they have to mate with human males to have children, They lay eggs, and have an ovulation egg once of month instead of a period

Harpies are born under the goddess Hera and worship her as their goddess, while most harpy are naturally born it said the first harpies where women punished by Hera and it not uncommon for her to turn a woman that displeases her into a harpy and force them to live as a wild beast. Every harpy tribe has an alter to the goddess Hera where they pray to her.

Harpies have bird's curiosity and intelligence, a harpies' mind is more simple then that of a human's. They look to have fun and enjoy themselves, they love danger and will be more they happy to pick a fight they might die in and can be very aggressive if attacked.

Harpies can be negotiated with by humans, although if a harpy swoop down and grabs a human and readies to drop them is are little a human can say to stop his death.

Harpies are social creature the live with flocks of other harpies. They nest together on seaside cliff when the go hunting and scavenging harpies my fly in groups of one to three. they may work by themselves and in groups.

Harpies loves to sing and as they relax, They are also really good at mimicking sounds and voices.

Harpies like shinny things and may steal them, they like looking at their own reflation in the water or mirror, They are very curious and talkative to human females and may have a crush on beautiful girl.
